Europcar at the Pine Cliffs in Albufeira provided an outstanding car rental experience! The staff was friendly, efficient, and made the pick-up and drop-off process seamless. The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as booked, making our travels around the Algarve hassle-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone staying in the area!
I rented a bicycle for 12 days in September to ride from Faro to Porto. The online sent price of €63 was great and it was supposed to be a city bike with 24 gears. However, the price doubled when I added 2 days later. Europcar obviously has fluctuating daily prices because shortly afterwards I got another price that was slightly higher. When I returned the bike the price was still €100, which is quite an attractive price for 14 days bike rental. When I came to pick up the bike, they only proposed me a mountain bike without lights, mudguards and bell. It only had 16 gears and was in a terrible condition. When I asked for the city bike, they told me they had nothing else to offer. The big tires of this bike were worn and cracked. I had to repair the tubes four times and replaced finally the rear tube. The brakes were at their limit, which was particularly noticeable on the downhill rides that are common in Portugal. The bike would certainly not be approved for road use in Germany and Austria, as well as in many other European countries. Back home I received the final invoice which mentioned an item "DLF" which stated 15€. When I asked, I was told that 15€ had been added later for a missing end piece on the handlebars of the bike. It had already been missing and the replacement would have cost 0.10 - 0.20€. In summary, I can say that the confusing pricing, the subsequent billing of defects, the poor condition of the rental property and the non-compliance with the vehicle offered have convinced me that I will not enter into a rental relationship again in the future. There was only one positive aspect, the customer service, which was always friendly and courteous. I welcome the fact that Europcar Portugal rents bicycles, but the bicycles rented online should at least match the descriptions and agreements and be issued in a well-maintained and roadworthy condition. Anything less will lead to customer disappointment and a bad reputation.
The staff onsite at Pine Cliffs made the experience great, they were very helpful. The car itself had lots of cosmetic damage to its exterior, some quite bad which in my view should have been repaired before issuing to a new customer(wing mirror housing was out of place causing it to whistle at over 40km/hr, very deep scratches to driver side and the passenger door had a crumple at the bottom front, indicating an impact). Also, on the second day whilst 5 or 6 miles into our journey the vehicle engine management warning light lit up and mentioned a problem with the start stop system. We felt we needed to take it back to the rental office to be checked so turned back. The member of staff said it was a common problem with the Fiat 500 and that the car would continue to work absolutely fine, he also offered us a replacement car but we declined as we were reassured the car would be ok, and as it turned out despite the warning light remaining on we had no actual issues with it.
It was quite difficult to find the office in this huge resort but drop off was fast, about 5 minutes, agent quickly checked the car and asked me to sign the paperwork, that's it ☺️
Great little branch inside the Pine Cliffs. Went in on a whim ready to rent a car immediately and they had a lovely mercedes at a good price for us which we could easily drop off at Faro airport in a few days. Friendly staff and very easy pick up at this small branch!
Quick check-in and check-out, the bike was in great condition and the staff is very friendly and professional. Highly recommended
We can't say enough about the professionalism and courtesy of Rui the manager of Eurocar at this location. He helped us painlessly extend our car rental and changed the location drop off. While we were there we also rented bicycles from Eurocar and had a very nice time riding to Villamoura Beach. Rui was efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable. This is a great location to get things done quick and easy if you're running from Eurocar.
Abzocke. Einen Kleinwagen erhalten, obwohl ein Mittelklassewagen gebucht. Extra Versicherung abgezogen, obwohl eine Versicherung über Check 24 mitgebucht.

Der Service war sehr gut. Das Abholen und Wegbringen des Autos war sehr einfach und die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Das Auto war innen Sauber und in einem neuwertige Zustand. Nur von außen war der Wagen dreckig, was den Umständen hier vor Ort geschuldet war. Ich werde Europcar bei Gelegenheit wieder nutzen :-D

A EVITER !!! Très mauvaise expérience : après accord je rends les clés à la réception après fermeture de lagence. Très mauvaise idée car je me retrouve quelques jours plus tard une fois de retour en France avec un débit de 160 euros pour une soit disant rayure. Europcar étant internationalement connu, jai naïvement fait confiance. Apriori cest une pratique régulière dans cette enseigne...

Very friendly and helpful staff. When my wife and I walked there, my wife wasnt feeling well because of the heat. He immediately offered her a seat and fetched water. He then took care of the rented car. That was great too Obrigado!

Rui a été très professionnelle & agréable ! Un plaisir d échanger avec lui. Il nous a trouvé deux GS du matin pour l après midi. Nous avons pu les récupérer à Faro & les déposer à Olhos d água. Petit bémol pour la qualité des casques & qu il n y ai pas d intercom en option, mais l expérience global a été top ! À refaire !

Hassle-free rental and return friendly staff There is no signage within the resort to the rental station, so it is better to ask the gatekeeper.

Fahrräder gemietet, aber keine Bike-Strecken in der Nähe. Leider keine Karte für Bikes bei Europcar verfügbar. Um in der Nähe der Klippen/Strand zu fahren muss man zuerst eine halbe Stunde auf der Hauptstrasse zum Hafen fahren, was nicht so toll ist. Leider etwas ein Reinfall und trotzdem 54 für das Nicht-fahren bezahlt. Für Biker wahrscheinlich okay, aber für einen kleinen kürzeren Ausflug mit dem Fahrrad nicht geeignet. Schade
Der Mitarbeiter bei der Fahrzeugübergabe und Abgabe hat es überragend gemacht. Des Weiteren ist das Fahrzeug sauber und sehr gut gewesen.
Sehr nette und unkomplizierte Mietwagenstation. Wer in Olhos de Agua ist kommt hier auch gut zu Fuß hin. Hatten 3 Mietwagen hier gebucht. Alles problemlos, meistens war 1 Kunde vor einem, sodass kurze Wartezeiten waren. Die Station vermietet auch Fahrräder.
Hat alles gut geklappt, sauberes, (fast) neues Auto
Die Vermietung befindet sich im Resort und muss etwas gesucht werden. Aber top! Super Beratung und sehr freundlicher Service. Das Auto war in einem sehr guten und sauberen Zustand. Wir mussten weder bei der Abholung noch Abgabe lange warten. Ich kann nur loben und wärmstens empfehlen.

Was told we could pick up the car anytime. Showed up 12.30pm, no one around. Sign says back soon, gives a number. Call the number, no answer, even with several tries. Website says closed 13.00-14.00. They only showed up at 14.30. Told me that every day they have a lunch break 12.30-14.30. Someone else came at 14.00 to pick up their car. Were told to come at this time. Seems that this place can do a bit better job of setting expectations.
We reserved 2 mountainbikes two days in advance. When we came to pick off the bikes, a huge group of people were equipped with bikes. The salesman was overstrained. When they were finally done, he told us that there are no MTBs left. We had to find a solution by ourselves. Worst service in Olhos DAgua! We had a much much better experience with Cool Bikes who are customer friendly and reliable!

Service was nice but there was absolutely no signage to indicate where it was and that it was hidden inside hotel grounds locked away behind a gate. Getting there with a car was very hard and you felt as if you werent supposed to be there as all of the signage just showed where the different parts of the hotel were
Positive experience renting a car from the Europcar facility at the Pine Cliffs resort. The staff were efficient and very friendly including Victoria on drop off. The vehicle itself was getting a little old, but the price was good, so cannot complain too much. Positively it was very clean on pickup. Can recommend this spot for car rental in the Algarve.
Ik heb om 12.45 laten weten aan dit filiaal dat ik onderweg ben om de auto op te halen, aan de telefoon was alles helemaal prima. 12.50 aangekomen is het filiaal dicht want meneer besluit dat het tijd is voor zijn lunch en kon geen sleutel overhandigen.
Agradeço imenso a simpatia do Rui Raposo, foi bastante prestável e até nos deu algumas dicas para fazer 1 passeio agradavel de bicicleta, concerteza irei repetir.
