VDL Car Hire em Almancil

Friendly car hire firm offering reasonable prices and a good service including delivery to our villa. My only criticism was that when I booked I was told that the rental included CDW but on delivery I was told this excluded the first ¢4,000 of damage! Otherwise though I was very happy with the service and the car they provided

We needed a car in a hurry and VDL were amazing. They arranged a car in less than 12 hours. We then needed to extend the hire by 2 weeks in the busiest period. Leanor was so helpful and assisted without hesitation. The car was new, clean and well presented. We recommend VDL highly and should we need a car again we would not hesitate to use VDL again... 10 put of 10. Well done team

I have always rented with VDL since they started operating as preferred supplier to Four Seasons. We have had excellent service every year without exception. The cars are always nearly new and the whole rental process is hassle-free. This should be the standard in car rental and one day it might be. But for now, VDL has to be the choice when renting in QDL in the Algarve.

VDL arranged transfer from airport to villa and back for 6 of us - on time, courteous staff, clean vehicle. Our car was then dropped off and picked up from the villa, completely hassle free and no hidden extras. I couldn't fault the service I received and would highly recommend and use again

Came to Portugal for a week in June and hired with VDL. They were super friendly and catered to our 6 month old with a proper car seat. Pickup and drop off were really easy too, with the car parked about 100m from the terminal exit. Would definitely hire with them again!

If I managed actually to get a car I'm sure it would be a great company, but for the second time now, they have told me last minute that due to a "system error" the car I booked is not available anymore, and neither is any car in their entire fleet! Note that this is for a booking I made almost a month ago, paid upfront, and received confirmation, only being told 3 days before pick-up that the car is not available and my booking has been cancelled. Having already made plans on the assumption that I would have a car, you can imagine the nightmare this has caused. No other alternative or compensation has been offered so far, so I am definitely disappointed with VDL based on their other stellar reviews. This exact same situation happened last year in October, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt due to the booking being last minute anyway. Now that this has happened a second time, with a booking made much more in advance, I felt it was time to let other customers know. I fully support Jonathan and the company's vision to providing quality cars at a reasonable price, without the common pitfalls/tricks that other rental companies play on you. But when something as essential as fleet management becomes a problem, it can't be swept under the rug.

Superb service! Everything that might normally be frustrating about hiring a car has been thought of and resolved, all making for a very pleasurable experience. Its nice to supply information beforehand that actually makes the arrival process easy, rather than having to re-supply everything! No nasty surprises, or extras! Would highly recommend VDL Car Hire if you want to enhance your whole holiday experience. Thank you VDL.

Excellent car hire. Car hire as it should be. Very easy collection from either the airport or at their office in VDL. Friendly and efficient service. Great selection of cars. Clean and well kept with a good specification. Don't have to pay extra for an additional driver or satnav. Easy booking online and you get the car model that you book. Genuine when reviewing condition of the car when returning. The best car hire experience I have had.
