Veículos novos e limpos, tive necessidade de receber o veiculo já bem tarde tive que pagar um extra mas é normal. Servico de auto estrada, sem preocupacoes de ir aos correios pagar, fazem o debito pelo nosso cartao de crédito. staf simpatico.

Wij hadden geen creditcard en konden nergens een auto huren. Bij Alvor Car Hire hebben ze ons prima geholpen zonder creditcard. We kregen zelfs een upgrade naar een grotere auto met automaat! Toen we de auto weer inleverden heeft de eigenaar ons ook weer terug gebracht naar ons hotel 10 Km verderop. Prima geregeld, Bedankt!

Precisei de veículo, urgentemente, já tarde.deslocaram-se e foram atenciosos. Facilidade nos meios de pagamento e de depósito.

Wij hebben voor onze vakanties in Portugal altijd een auto gehuurd via Yor Car. Ook deze keer wederom vriendelijk ontvangen op P4. De gehuurde auto stond er weer schoon en netjes bij. Genoten van een prachtige vakantie in een goed onderhouden auto. Ook bij het inleveren zijn we netjes te woord gestaan en is de afhandeling keurig verlopen. Zeker een aanrader om een auto te huren. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij gaan er de volgende keer weer naar toe.

We reserved an automatic Polo for 3 days and asked for it to be delivered to our hotel. The car was delivered on time on the agreed day and was almost new with 1,500 km. Nice and friendly employee. Highly recommended. Thank you very much and all the best to you.

ABZOCKE!!! Die bargezahlte Kaution wurde uns nicht vollständig ausgezahlt, da wir angeblich Schäden am Auto verursacht haben. Die Schäden bestanden schon vorher, was wir auch auf Bildern festgehalten haben. Die Bilder wurden sich nicht angeschaut und auf Telefon und Email wird nicht reagiert. Aggressiver Geschäftsführer. Finger weg!!!

Very good and welcome experience

I must admit I was skeptical at first because I wanted the car in Lisbon and that was not in the list of the rental spots. None of these worries were necessary because they had 2 Polos exactly as requested ready in LIS. All in all was the total amount lower than the bigger rental companies and there were no surprises.

WARNING. The company additionally charged my debit card illegally. Only gave authorisation for the rental with full insurance for 3 days at 321 and the guy said they will keep details at 0 charge for protection. To my surprise there was an additional £274 out of my account within minutes from Auto Mar Azul. I phoned the company and they said it is deposit. I said they never mentioned they would debit this and they said I will be refunded. Within days they took another 30 with no explanation and I have still not received my refund for £274. Also when they delivered the car it was on empty/reserve hardly had any petrol to reach the petrol station. As I have young family I and did not want to risk this I walked to put petrol in jerrycan. It also had warning signs for a flat tyre which became flat as soon as I drove the car once. Changed the tyre myself but I am assuming they are somehow trying to charge me for a flat tyre too when they gave the car with deflating tyre which was their fault. On top of this I am meant to be fully insured.,Avoid at all cost and if you do end up renting a car with them, read the contracts fine print. You are better off going to a well known retailer.

Located in the narrow streets of Alvor so be careful where you park when returning the car. :) Possible to rent without a credit card (not an option with bigger companies). We got a ride to our place in Portimao after returning the car so a five-star review is due.

The go to car rental agency in Alvor. Our family has been doing business with N no and his lovely wife Lena for many years... for a reason. Great service, great prices, great cars. Their office is right in the village, and pick up and drop off locations are flexible. We have never been dissatisfied. Recommend!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Hired a car last week, had to pay 180 as a deposit fo motorway tolls. We purposely did not use the motorways yet have been charged 175 for nothing!!!!

Huge scam! Stay away from them, they collect the car pretending to return your deposit as soon as they reach the shop, and then pretend to find issues to charge you after your gone. Proper A-hole who looks decent at first sight but DO NOT FALL for it, even the local guide said we made a mistake booking with him

My credit card was charged when I returned from my holiday for damage that I had not caused. If you have to use this company then take videos on collection and drop off, plus lots of photos. Ideally just find a more reputable company. Terrible service and a horrible experience that took months to sort with Visa.

Vorreserviertes Auto war nicht am Flughafen, erst recherche 2 Std später Ersatzwagen. Rückgabe über Fremdstatiation eines anderen Anbieters 5 km vom Flughafen, mit Schwierigkeiten, dann nicht abgesproche Transferkosten 36 Euro und eine überraschte Mitarbeiterin bucht mehr als mit Kreditkarte freigegeben.

I have been using this company for my extended holidays for more than 6 years.I have always found Nuno and his team to be very professional and price flexible if you are staying for an extended period.I do not recognise the concern raised by some reviews.I am pleased to recommend this company...

Dont use this firm! They charge you for things they dont tell you about. And when you try to make a conversation about the mistakes, the owner Nuno starts to shout, and dont even listen to your point. I have tried to sort things out, but there are no excuses, no regrets, and worst of all: no evidences for the extra costs - they just charge your card! On the voucher you get when you hire a car, theres a lot of websiteadresses, suggesting that this firm is big and even have a division in England, but only one of the adresses are actually in function. The rest is fake. I really suggest that youll find a another car rental service in the Algarve than this one.

First of all they asked us to deposit 100 EURO!!! for a compact car and the reason is because we did not book through a hotel that they usually deal with. Therefore I asked them to provide me a document that includes the policy and it was no where! Also the car I booked was not even available(also the price was different), I think they did not have that car from the beginning. They gave us a older(very) model and now I just checked my credit card and they charged me for 20 Euro for nothing. What a fraud!!!

Hidden charges, they put 100 euro on the credit card for tolls and told me I could use the motorway and each toll would come off the 100, fair enough I thought, until I went back and they told me that the e-pass wasnt set up and took 35 off the 100 plus the 4 tolls which was only 2.80 ,

100% top class service. we arrived at Faro and were met by their reps (2) , We booked two cars and asked for one of them to have as high a roof as possible, My friend is huge. This was done. We asked for full insurance ie no excess. This was done. The paperwork was all done aswell. At the end of our holiday they collected us and drove us back to Faro. No nonsence about cleaning charges or any sneaky tricks. They have an empty empty fuel policy so the worst is you leave them with a gallon or so, better than getting ripped off on a full full if you miss the petrol station. They are honest and will not trash you credit card but go for the no excess insurance to be sure. Their prices were fair and the cars were in perfect condition. WARNING do not book a car through Ryanair. They resell for a car rental company called FIREFLY. A scam of the lowest order. I know, they scamed me and ruined my holliday. Conclusion. Their is no such thing as a car for 5.67 a day and if you want to give a car rental company your CC details based on that you will be sorry. Alvor Car hire are genuine, honest and easy to deal with.

Made a booking only to have it cancelled on the day, and be told the class above is available. when i called and tried to talk about it the man put the phone down on me. when my husband called back he said i do not have time for this and put the phone down again. not helpful, probably against trading standards, which i will be looking into as i have a booking receipt. now i have to hire on the day, which will cost a lot more money.

Appaling car hire company. Do not hire from this company. If u book through Arguscarhire it is likely this is the company ull get ur car from. They work from a cabin in the grounds of Faro Airport. They will continue to fradulently take money from ur card after u return the car. Also they take a huge amount from ur card if you dont take out their excess insurance. It is difficult to get this money back ad they then try to say u put scratches on the car that were already there. Awful staff. WORST CAR HIRE company ever. The only way we could stop them taking money from our card was to cancel the card. So stressful. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS
