I made a reservation for a vehicle online. On the day I picked up the vehicle at the counter, the employee who helped me checked my details and said that I could not proceed with the rental because my driving license was banned by the vehicle rental system. I asked the employee why, and she said that she did not have access to that information, which was confidential, and that there was probably a problem with a previous rental. Well, I have never rented a vehicle with the group represented at that counter. The only situation I have had was as a secondary driver in a replacement vehicle, in which, as I have already indicated, I was only the secondary driver and the contract was not even in my name. The employee replied that I could not proceed with the rental. Since I was being harmed by a reservation made in advance and where I had never had any problems and there was no feedback from the company about any incident, I decided to fill out the complaints book on site, where I described the situation. I ended up being harmed and had to find another car rental company at the last minute. I'm glad I did! I didn't even know there were other companies in Barreiro that don't even ask for a bank card and in bad faith situations they arrogantly take money from us, having us, in our defense, have to go and resolve the situation! Well, the situation will not stay like this, and what's more, it's not my surprise that, in addition to having been unfairly lost my rental, they charged me 65 euros on my bank card for not showing up for the reservation! I remind you, they refused to rent me the car without giving me any explanation as to why and on top of that they took money from my account for not showing up for the rental when it was the company itself that canceled my reservation! They responded to my written complaint but did not answer the question I asked, why I was prohibited from renting a vehicle from the group, they simply repeated what was said at the counter / these large companies have the arrogance to think they can do whatever they want and we will not react... I warn everyone who gives out bank details in advance and who may come across a situation like mine and there are many other smaller rental companies in Barreiro that do not act in bad faith and where I have not had any problems!
