My rating is 5+ stars. The car delivery from the moment I entered the office until I started the car took less than 10 minutes (the car was clean). Returning the car took up to 5 minutes (a quick inspection of the car and a full tank of fuel) The car was new with a mileage of 16 thousand km. Quite fast and economical. (Small scratches in Madeira on almost every car) When I read the reviews, I did not believe that the rating was 5 stars. Ohne Anmaledung hineinspaziert, da wir am selben Tag gerne noch einen Wagen mieten wollten. Völlig problemloser Ablauf bei der Miete, absolut freundlicher Service, es war super! Das Auto selbst war ein Neuwagen mit Automatik, was bei den Höhenunterschieden auf der Insel total gut ist, so musste man nicht selbst ständig schlaten. Die Rückgabe war ebenso problemlos. Jederzeit wieder!

With Girassol we had the most pleasant car rental experience so far. Upon landing in Madeira, even though it was around midnight, we were met by a company employee who escorted us to the parking lot to the car. All the forms were filled in, the car in perfect condition (equipped with child seat as per our request). The whole pick-up process took less than 10 min. When handing over the car things went even smoother. We parked the car at departures and by the time we unloaded the luggage the company employee came to retrieve the car. We had a Seat Ibiza, automatic gearbox, perfect for Madeireis narrow and sloping streets. Thank you to the Girassol team, including the lady at the office who helped us on a Saturday with printing some documents :)

I visited their branch with my driver s license and ID card, and the friendly staff quickly found me a Renault Clio. The paperwork was handled efficiently and without unnecessary bureaucracy. Plus, I received a 20% discount due to the Black Friday week. The car was ready for pickup at 9:00 AM the following day. The Clio was clean, fully fueled, and in perfect condition. Minor scratches on the sills and fenders were documented with photos during the handover. The Clio came well-equipped with air conditioning and navigation. Despite being an automatic, it performed quite nimbly. Returning the car was just as smooth as picking it up. Für eine zweitägige Reise über die schöne Insel Madeira suchten wir in unserem Hotel, als auch in der Umgebung nach preiswerten Autovermietern. Hierbei stieß ich auf die Girassol-Autovermietung. Die Webseite ist auch auf deutsch vorhanden und so schrieb ich, wie auf der Webseite angeboten, der Nummer über WhatsApp. Hier wurde mir innhalb weniger Minuten geantwortet und mir wurden bereits über WhatsApp zwei Angebote geschickt. Ich habe daraufhin noch am selben Tag einen Mietwagen für den nächsten Tag reserviert und gleich bezahlt. Leider war durch meine Kurzentschlossenheit nur noch ein Seat Arona zur Verfügung, der mir und meiner Freundin eigentlich zu groß gewesen wäre. Durch eine der letzten Möglichkeiten nahmen wir jedoch dieses Angebot in Anspruch und holten diesen auch am nächsten Tag ab. Das Fahrzeug war durch seine 2600 km, welche er zu diesem Zeitpunkt auf dem Tacho hatte, in einem Neuwagenzustand. Keine Kratzer, keine Dallen und keinerlei Flecken im Innenraum. Alle Fahrzeuge dieser Autovermietung sind Automatikgetriebe, so auch dieser. Dieses rentierte sich auch bereits nach wenigen hundert Metern, durch die steilen Straßen dieser Insel. Das Auto ließ sich super auf den engen Straßen manövrieren und der Durchschnittsverbrauch lag bei rund 8 Litern auf 100 km Super. Trotz der extremen Topografie der Insel ist das ein sehr geringer Verbrauch. Nach der Mietdauer brachte ich den Wagen mit rund 350 km mehr zurück und die Dame der Vermietung sah sich noch einmal den Wagen an. Die Erläuterung des Vertrages, das Unterschreiben dessen und das Zurückbringen des Fahrzeuges dauerten jeweils nur rund 10-15 Minuten. Alle Angestellten, mit denen ich sprach, beherrschten ein gutes Englisch und zum Teil auch gutes Deutsch. Alles in Allem hatte ich eine schnelle Abwicklung, ein top Fahrzeug, top Mitarbeiter und keine versteckten Kosten. Sollte ich wieder einen Urlaub auf Madeira machen, werde ich mir erneut einen Mietwagen bei Girassol holen.

Preis-Leistungs ist sehr gut. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und die Übernahme und Rückgabe unkompliziert. Unser Fahrzeug war in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand. Wir hatten 7 Tage einen sehr gut ausgestatteten Seat Arona Automatik, mit dem man auch in den Bergen gerne gefahren ist. Wir können die Autovermietung auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Üdvözlet! Gondoltam érdekel másokat is a madeira kölcsönzés tapasztalataim. El ször is nem mindig az olcsón kiadott autó a jó választás. Nekünk úgy hozta, hogy nem az alap autók maradtak de végül egyáltalán nem bántuk. Teljes kör biztosítást nem adnak csak nagyon kevés helyen, hiába mondják, hogy az van de pl az üveg kár nincs benne ( egy kavicsot bármelyik pillanatban lehet a szélvéd re kapni) az olcsón bérelt autó hírtelen nagyon drága lesz. Mi a Girassolban egy kis diesel BMW-t béreltünk és lehet hirtelen drágának t nik de teljes kör tényleges biztosítással adják. Ezeken az utakon a kis benzines autók gyengék és sokkal többet fogyasztanak,ha hegyi túrákat akarjuk megközelíteni. Ajánlom ezt a kölcsönz t, mi mindegyiket végig jártuk a környéken. Tolles Auto, toller Service :) ich kann die Autovermietung nur empfehlen, schnelle und einfache Abwicklung , auch Sofia und Olga sind super nett. Wie hatte zb. gefragt, ob wir das Auto etwas später abgeben können und das war bis 20 Uhr ohne weitere Gebühren möglich. Auf unsere Mails haben wir immer sofort eine Rückmeldung erhalten. Auch die Rückgabe war wirklich einfach, obwohl wir das Auto dreckig, durch die Wanderschuhe, hinterlassen haben. Danke für die unkomplizierte Abwicklung und wir kommen wieder auf sie zurück.

Je recommande vraiment surtout qu ils proposent des voitures automatique et c est vraiment indispensables pour Madère, l environnement n est vraiment pas comme dans les autres villes ou autres endroits, certaines pentes sont vraiment très raides, je n ai eu aucun problème grâce à ça personnellement.

Girassol is the perfect company to rent a car from while visiting Madeira. The car was dropped off at our hotel by Luisa, who was very kind, patient and helpful. The car was so clean that, before we saw the mileage, we honestly thought it was brand new :) Communication went mainly through WhatsApp, which was very fast and convenient. When we couldn t figure out how to get the phone navigation on the screen, they replied within 1 minute and guided us through it until we got it working. They were also very flexible when we asked if we could extend our rental period with 2 more days and when we had to change the pick up location that we agreed on beforehand. The new contract and payment for this extension were arranged within a couple of hours, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We will definitely rent a car from Girassol again when we go back to Madeira

Das Auto war perfekt für unseren Urlaub auf Madeira. Es wurde uns direkt zum Hotel gebracht und dort auch wieder abgeholt. Der Wagen war super sauber und sehr neu. Die Mitarbeiterin, die uns das Auto gebracht hat, war sehr nett und hat uns noch einige Besonderheiten zum Parken auf der Insel erklärt. Alles in Allem ein super Service und unbedingt weiterzuempfehlen!

Leider war es nicht möglich über die Internetseite den Mietwagen zu buchen, also haben wir Kontakt über WhatsApp aufgenommen und prompt eine Antwort bekommen. Die Reservierung wurde manuell für uns vorgenommen und wir haben kurzum die Bestätigung per E-Mail erhalten. Alles lief reibungslos und auch das Auto war in einem guten Zustand, gereinigt und vollgetankt. Auch die Rückgabe lief absolut problemlos. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder einen Mietwagen buchen.

Wir haben für sieben Tage den Seat Arona Automatik mit 115 PS gemietet. Das Auto wurde pünktlich ins Hotel gebracht. Der Seat war in einem sehr guten Zustand, hatte nur ca. 13.ooo km, Wir sind ca. 600 km in den sieben Tagen gefahren. Girassol is a great service for renting a car during your vacation. I rented Smart for four, with full insurance and the place where I picked up the car was the airport, it s convenient, I recommend it. Always take full insurance, in our case someone scratched the mirror while the car was in the parking lot. This did not cause any inconvenience, the company sorts everything out itself, and you just enjoy your vacation.

Highly recommended car hire company. We wanted a car at short notice and Girassol communicated immediately via out of hours WhatsApp chat and arranged drop off and pick up from our hotel for the next day. The Micra was a clean, low mileage automatic which carried 4 adults comfortably and sufficiently powered to cope with the Maderian hills. The fee was fully inclusive of insurance and no deposit required. The staff were lovely and a delight to deal with.

Sehr guter Service, gute Beratung und freundliches Personal. Vermieten PKWs mit Automatik, was bei dem bergigen Gelände auf jeden Fall ein Vorteil ist. Wir hatten einen Seat Ibiza und waren damit wirklich gut bedient. Sehr sauber. Vorschäden wurden zusammen begutachtet, auch bei Abgabe. Man bekommt das Auto vollgetankt und gibt es vollgetankt zurück. Es gibt keine Kilometerbegrenzung. Es gibt bestimmt preisgünstigere Angebote, allerdings waren wir so zufrieden, dass wir dort jederzeit wieder ein Auto leihen.

Es wurde mir nochmal der Vertrag erklärt. Der Wagen hatte keine sichtbaren Mängel. Es war ein Automatikauto und perfekt für die steilen Wege auf Madeira. Die Abgabe erfolgte wieder am Flughafen, wo ich zur vereinbarten Zeit bereits empfangen wurde. Die Kommunikation war immer sehr freundlich. Es war alles perfekt!! Wir haben von zu Hause gebucht und es hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Danke für den freundlichen, unkomplizierten und freundlichen Service. Wir würden wieder hier mieten.

Also da muss ich mal sagen, das hat hervorragend geklappt. Ich wollte online buchen, bekam aber immer die Meldung das für den gesuchten Zeitraum von 5 Tagen kein Fahrzeug verfügbar ist. Also hatte ich die Chatfunktion genutzt und angefragt ob wirklich nichts mehr zu machen ist. Ich hatte einen netten Kontakt, der sich um mein Anliegen gekümmert hat. Nach ca. 30 Minuten war alles geklärt. 3 Tage bekam ich einen Geländewagen, den ich dann nach den 3 Tagen gegen einen Seat Ibiza getauscht hab. Die Autos waren beide in Ordnung, und Automatik kann ich nur jedem empfehlen auf Madeira, sonst schaltet man sich einen Wolf in den Bergen. Ich kan Girassol nur empfehlen.

Kleines Auto am Mittwoch in Canico/ Madeira gebucht, am Samstagmorgen, wie verabredet pünktlich übernommen, den ganzen Tag unterwegs gewesen, Rückgabe telefonisch angemeldet, wieder problemlos...gerne wieder!!! Wir sind einen Smart for four mit Automatik gefahren...absolut empfehlenswert, wenn man z.B. den Pico Ruivo ansteuern möchte! Tagespreis beinhaltete auch die Versicherung, sodass wir keine Kaution hinterlegen mussten.

Very smooth and easy experience! We agreed on the location where I will pick up the rented car via WhatsApp, signed and paid with card right there on the spot and we were set to go just like that! We rented Seat Ibiza automatic - it was new, clean and had Android auto and Apple carplay which was very handy. No complaints whatsoever. And there were several times while driving in the hilly villages and mountains that I really appreciated the fact that the car is automatic Would easily recommend Girassol to anyone.

Super tolle Mietwagenagentur. Vom ersten Kontakt bis zur Rückgabe war alles perfekt. Sehr nette, freundliche und kompetente Beratung. Preis inklusive Vollkasko ohne Selbstbeteiligung (bei einer anderen Agentur hätten wir das nicht so gehabt). Gepflegter und (für die Insel wichtig) technisch einwandfreier und durchzugsstarker Seat Ibiza. Beim nächsten Mal buchen wir direkt hier! Danke für die schöne Woche mit Eurem Auto.

Sehr nette und freundliche Dame, die sich sogar am Sonntag um die Buchung gekümmert hatte. Die Kontaktaufnahme über Whatsup funktionierte super schnell und unkompliziert. Das Auto mit Automatik ( auf Madeira ein muss) war super sauber und technisch einwandfrei. Insgesamt eine super Autovermietung vorbehaltlos zu empfehlen. Rovn jezdilo velmi p kn . Zejména v kopcích jsem ocenil automatické azení. M lo i p ipojení telefonu p es Android auto p es kabel s koncovkou USB C, tak e jsem mohl pou ít navigaci ze svého telefonu. Najel jsem cca 480 km bez nejmen ích problém . P i vrácení auta jsme op t s paní Luísou zkontrolovali stav auta. V echno bylo v po ádku, a tak mi byl ihned uvoln n depozit. S autem i s jednáním zam stnanc p j ovny jsem byl velmi spokojen a p j ovnu doporu uji.

Perfekter Rundum-Service. Vermieter ermöglicht alles und ist unkompliziert. Das übergebene Fahrzeug hatte ein technisches Problem und ohne weitere Kompikationen wurde ein kostenlosrs Upgrade auf ein anderes Fahrzeug vorgenommen. Die Fahrzeuge sind sauber und in einem technisch ordentlichen Zustand. Hatten halt mit einem entdeckten Reifendefekt einfach Pech. Gerne wieder.

Wir haben im November für drei Tage ein Auto bei Girassol gemietet und waren sehr zufrieden! Der Wagen war in einem top Zustand und sehr gepflegt. Es gibt dort nur automatik Fahrzeuge was aber auf jeden Fall Sinn macht auf Madeira:) Reservierung, Abholung und Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs waren einfach und verliefen problemlos. Die angetroffenen Mitarbeiterin sehr nett und ich würde jederzeit wieder ein Auto dort leihen.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dieser Autovermietung: sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal im Büro, transparente und günstige Preise und ein fast neues Auto.

The rental place was close to hotel,and we were happy to finde the car we wanted-a Seat Arona with an automatic gearbox.It was in great condition snd served us well on Madeiras slopes Originally,weplaned to pick up the car from the rental point,but due tu heavy rain,a kind employee delivered it to our hotel,showing exellent customer servise The renting process was quick and clear.Getting a car with comprehensive insurance didnt cost much.Overall,we had a good experience,thanks to their convenience,frendliness and affordability

To rent a car at Girassol I had fun. They offer cars 7 days a week. Nice person and the smooth comfortable services made my travel so convenient. I had a BMW diesel car. It gave me so good driving experience. The sporty comfortable seats, safety and stable feeling at raising speed, mountain climbing or around curve made my travel more unforgettable.

Sehr nette Dame bei der Vermietung. Wir haben für 4 Tage einen Renault Clio gemietet. Das Auto war kurzfristig verfügbar und mit der Rückgabe gab es auch keinerlei Probleme. Faire Tankregelung. Hat alles super geklappt.

Usually when I am reading google reviews, I double check if the rating is real. Especially for car rental service that tend to be low. Here I did not see anything bad and decided to rent a car here. All cars are with automatic transmission, usually they are more expensive than manual but it s not the case here. I got a new Seat with almost zero scratches. Full insurance is for affordable price. I also ordered a baby chair and had an option to choose out of four. Contact via WhatsApp was easy. Payed with a debit card. I really liked the service and can recommend this place to others

I highly recommend this rental car company Girassol. Their office is close to our accommodation in Caniço. Good selections of different automatic cars. I had to make some amendments to my booking multiple times but they were able to help me very quickly and efficiently! Very affordable and very kind/friendly staff. I can t recommend this enough. Will definitely use this rental company again if I were to visit again anytime soon

Wir waren im Dezember im Riu Madeira für 3 Wochen! Die Autovermietung haben wir uns anhand der guten Bewertungen und der Nähe zum Hotel(10 Gehminuten) ausgesucht! Alle Mitarbeiterinnen waren sehr freundlich und es wurde teilweise auch deutsch gesprochen! Die Übergabe und Rücknahme erfolgte reibungslos! Wir hatten einen Seat Ibiza Automatik zum Black Week Preis (30% Rabatt) für eine Woche! Dadurch war er genauso teuer, wie ein vergleichbarer Wagen mit Schaltgetriebe! Wir werden wieder kommen! Hallo liebes Team von GIRASSOL, unser Urlaub war zwar bereits im August, für eine sehr gute Rezension ist es aber nie zu spät. Wir können uns dem, was in all den anderen Rezensionen genannt wurde, vollumfänglich anschließen. Sehr guter, freundlicher und unkomplizierter Service und ebenso sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir hatten einen jungen Seat Ibiza, sehr sauber, gute Ausstattung, Automatik. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder bei GIRASSOL ein Auto buchen, wenn wir wieder einmal auf Madeira sind. Viele Grüße auch an Luisa, mit der wir bei der Rückgabe des Autos ein freundliches und unterhaltsames Gespräch hatten (zur Erinnerung - wir hatten uns unter anderem über eventuell im Auto vergessene besondere Gegenstände unterhalten...). The prices are lower than competition, they bring your car to the airport and pick it up there right at the departures when you leave - super convenient, no counter, no lines. Also if you pay insurance, you are fully covered and dont need to leave the deposit, top notch, highly recommend

Eine Mietwagenvermietung, wie man sie sich wünscht. Wir haben einen fast neuen, gepflegten Wagen ohne Kratzer erhalten. 5.000 KM auf dem Tacho, ebenso neue Reifen, Ausstattung wie bestellt. Der Seat Arona hat eine hervorragende Motorisierung für die Insel und Automatik mit Berganfahrassistenten sind echt ein Segen für die Insel. Wenn ich etwas kritisch sehen darf, dann ist es dass DSG Getriebe in Verbindung mit dem 3-Zylinder Motor, was nicht immer ganz so harmonisch für die Anforderungen Madeiras abgestimmt ist. Da wird aus ökonomischen Gründen bei 12 Prozent Gefälle der 5. Gang in der 40er Zone eingelegt, was natürlich Blödsinn ist. Oder man merkt nach dem Bremsen an einer Schwelle am Berg, dass das DSG noch mit niedriger Drehzahl den Motor quält. Es gibt aber 2 Möglichkeiten: man nutzt den Automatik Sport-Modus, aber der dreht dann generell zu hoch. Oder halt... manuelles Schalten nicht der Halbautomatik. Führte zu optimalem Fahrkomfort mit einem Verbrauch um die 7,5 Liter, was für Madeiras Verhältnisse wohl ein guter Verbrauch ist. Wir würden auf alle Fälle wieder einen Wagen von Girassol nehmen.
