Standard car rental. However the car pick up is 3.5km away. They will organize a taxi to the location but they also ask if you really need one. No taxi on drop off.
Be sure to check the card for any maintenance issue before taking it especially diesel cars because they don’t check that it needs blue added a solution to the diesel fuel for immissions in Portugal
When we picked up the car we were concerned about the bad tires and we're told they were fine. A couple of hours later we found ourselves on the side of a road in the middle of nowhere with a flat tire and no spare. We called the emergency number. They sent a tow truck which arrived 2 1/2 hours later and the driver tried to rip us off, became abusive screaming at us and finally took the car. We were driven to Porto (not our destination) and given another vehicle. We lost and entire day over a tire that we had pointed out was bad...
I had a very positive experience with Europcar Cascais. Pick-up and return was fast and easy. Deposit was returned fast also. The car wasn't the one I've booked, but the replace was fine also. Manager Tiago knows what is good service. Really appreciate his approach.
The friendly staff members were informative and efficient in getting us into our Alpha Romeo SUV. The vehicle was clean and new (fewer than 10000 km on the odometer).
Customer service was excellent. The agent (friendly man with a beard - sorry I didn’t catch your name) upgraded us to a Polestar 2 as we were renting only for one day to do some coastal sightseeing, and I didn’t have to pay for the electric charge. After returning the car, he made sure to check with me how the driving experience was. It was my first time with Europcar and a totally pleasant experience. Thank you!
First ever use of Europcar Portugal. Cascais branch showed that some people are perfect in customer service roles. Mr. Tiago and his assistant Mr. Ricardo showed extreme levels of customer care not only with me but with customers ahead of me with the way they dealt with issues so close to office closing hour. Vehicle provided was excellent and more than expected with online rental. Additional options provided to us by branch staff recommend you add them to the online booking process. Well done Europcar Cascais. Only negative comment is the location, returning vehicle was hard to park as there is no parking only for Europcar on the busy main street. Had to jump pavement and park half on road and half on pavement.
If you are reading this, turn around. Right next to here is a car rental place that will treat you right. Go downstairs before you read through this disaster renting experience. Here are the 5 reasons not to rent from this Europcar. 1. The staff (particularly the lady with short hair) but also the older gentleman who ran outside to harass me for taking a photo of the outside location as you see pictures here. The lady with short hair told me that she could not take off the insurance, though I insisted she told me to book online instead. Which I did in 5 minutes right outside the store. I saved $67 booking online and then they let me know they needed online approval confirmation. I asked her politely to please help me, she said there’s nothing we can do. You booked online. There is nothing we can do now, you should have booked through us. I then look for plea, who in this store will help? The younger gentleman with tattoos? The older gentlemen who chased me down the street a few minutes after? Nobody, not a single human. All sales robots. Selfishly upselling insurance, when it’s not needed. 2. The prices, go downstairs it’s cheaper, type car rental in your maps it’s 357 feet away 3. The online booking system will cancel your car , see attached pictures 4. The lady with short hair (she quite possibly left me with the worst experience in a decade) I’ve rented cars in dozens of countries and successfully downstairs in less than 9 minutes. (No online booking) 5. The lack of empathy and willingness to help, customer service reps are there for this but clearly they are there to make commission and don’t care about customers. I’d avoid this place as there are many better options.

Easy process to pick-up and drop-off, very friendly staff and clean car. The lady at the desk explained everything to us so it was a very good experience. First time renting a car for both me and my husband but if we ever need to do it again we would pick Europcar again

Sra que atendeu dia 21 e 22 Dezembro pelas 12h ao balcão é eficaz, rápida e muito simpática . Excelente nível profissional. Demonstra alegria na sua função . O Sr que entregou e recebeu a viatura igualmente bom profissional e empático. A viatura escolhida foi mesmo a usada VW T-Roc o que gostei .Com poucos kms e É segura e confortável, agradável de conduzir só o valor do consumo ( gasolina) achei um pouco elevado e só fiz praticamente auto estrada mas a gasolina está cara, é um facto . Parabéns pela excelência de serviço ! Voltarei a Cascais .Boas Festas
I was super discriminated against for having documents from Mexico. They say that Portuguese legislation does not allow Mexicans to rent a car in their country but 1 week ago I rented a car in Portugal without any problem. In these times, being discriminated against because of a nationality should not be allowed anywhere. Very bad for EUROPCAR CASCAIS!

Atendimento exemplar e o carro impecável. Não há estacionamento próprio para a entrega e devolução das viaturas pelo que a mesma tem de ser feita em segunda fila. Seria importante adquirirem outras condições, como por exemplo o cliente poder deixar o carro num estacionamento nas redondezas e a verificação do estado do automóvel ser feita nesse local.
Gosto muito da Europcar, sou cliente e tenho gosto em alugar veículos lá.
No explinations on the equipment or systems of the vehicle during car delivery is not acceptable. The bare minimum must be given before the client drives off.

Worst customer service, not recommended, you have to wait for 1h to pick up the car (they bring it from some parking outside of Cascais). Rude service. Choose a different company/office
Wir hatten zwei Autos zur Abholung bestellt. Wir waren pünktlich dort, die Abwicklung ging recht zügig, die vorab getätigten Bestellungen über die Europcar App bzw. Check 24 funktionierten einwandfrei. Das eine Auto kam direkt, auf das andere mussten wir etwas warten, was aber noch in Ordnung von der Wartezeit war. Die Autos waren einwandfrei, alles wurde korrekt an vorherigen Schäden notiert. Bei unsere, Auto wurde extra geschaut, was für ein Baby gut passt. Insgesamt waren wir dort sehr zufrieden.

Jai loué durant une semaine une Tesla Model 3 Long Range chez Europcar Cascais. Lenregistrement a été très rapide. Le personnel a été très accueillant et serviable. Franchement, jai adoré la voiture. Cétait aussi une nouvelle expérience pour moi de rouler en électrique. Ce quil faut savoir avant de louer une Tesla, cest quil ny a pas assez de bornes électriques de Tesla. Je trouve que le problème est lié au nombre important de voitures Tesla. Jai dû télécharger lapplication miio et menregistrer (identité & carte de crédit). Après lenregistrement, vous pouvez utiliser toutes les bornes électriques quon trouve partout (parking public, station dessence, Supermarché, etc, etc) Les bornes sont super faciles à utiliser. Je recommande, vu quune charge est nettement moins chère quun plein dessence.

I hired a car WITH the automatic toll payment device and now Im receiving letters about unpaid toll fees. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. SUGEST you look for an other place to hire your car.

Pessoal atencioso, porém realizei uma reserva pré-paga pelo site da Europcar e quando fui fazer o levantamento da viatura, minha reserva se encontrava cancelada, por falta de viaturas.
I rented online a fiat 500 automatic. The day I went in I was told they didn t have the 500 but instead upgraded me to a Mini Cooper convertible automatic. Everything was speedy and well communicated. The car was in perfect condition. I didn t have any issues at all during my time driving the car. I got their toll service. Which came in handy for tolls. Returned the car with a full tank of gas. Speedy check-out. Got my security deposit refunded in cc. Will rent again from here. :)

The day of the rental was a holiday and other car rental offices were closed, but EUROCAR was open. The lady at the reception desk made the process very smooth and friendly and I think I made a very good choice. I would choose EUROCAR when choosing a car rental in Cascais.
This station seems to run some scam with tolls!!!! I hired a car in September 2022 for a day with automatic toll pay device for 2,15 . Afterwards the fees should be deducted from the credit card, but nothing happened and I forgot about it. Now, 8 months later I am getting a letter by a British company to collect my unpaid toll (3,46 ) with an extra fee of 4,42 . I know this is just a little fee, and I would also pay this, but this seems clearly to be a scam by this Europcar station as also another review also mentioned the same procedure!!!! Watch out that your tolls are paid! Lets see if Europcar is reaching out and wants to clarify this...
Me entregaram uma viatura com sérios problemas mecânicos, fizeram diversas cobranças irregulares e prestaram um péssimo atendimento. Fuja da europcar

Today I has a terrible situation. I have reserved a car in your application. Paid for renting a car 250 euros. After that, I received a message that the car was not available and that a similar car was also not available, although the application said that this car was in stock. I was offered to solve this problem myself through the call center, where I called. But the operator, instead of helping, said that the car was not available and offered to go to the Airport and book another car and pay again and hung up. Do you think you provide a good service, Europcar?
Mauvais acceuil, la commerciale nous propose 350e pour 3 jours, en payant en ligne nous avons payé 180e pour le meme service, en lui montrant la difference de prix elle nous affirme que l on est OBLiGE de payer toutes les assurances et qu elle n est pas au courant de ce qui se fait en ligne. ils sont a la com et force a prendre des options en affirmant que c est obligatoire, j appel ca du vol et c est mensongé. Payez en ligne la difference de prix est enorme et ca fonctionne tout aussi bien

All perfect but the cars are often not clean, especially inside. Should pay more attention to details like the windscreen, seats or climate switches which had stains and dust. I had to clean it all myself because it was not okay to use it like that.
Opel was great.
We booked the car with automatic gear online, they charged the money and only after that they checked that car was unavailable, nor did they have any alternative car with automatic car for rent. I had to call to ask when we will get refund and I was told it can take up to 30 working days to return money. So, no money and no car.

Car rented for 90% use in Spain for which Europcar was advised at booking. Not acceptable that as a Europ... company you do not include road assistance outside Portugal in the already high rental price. It was then too late to cancel and change the rental company when informed on the day of rental. Next time, another car rental company will be selected. Waiting for the credit of the amount deducted for the toll which was not used but charged to the credit card.

Much cheaper to book online than as a walk in. We compared both and saved 30 by booking in advance. Well located office, clean car. Not too pushy on upselling extras. Petrol stations nearby to return with a full tank
Friendly service and very helpful. We extended our original rental by one more day and changed drop off location and they gave us a great price and was very helpful.

Before making a reservation for automatic car Toyota Carola, I called to the office and ask if they had this car available- the nice girl told me that if not concrete this car, but the automatic car of this class they will have, after it I made a reservation. And today ,the day,when I expected to have my car, I recieve a letter, that unfortunately they dont have such cars available!:( I have plans for the nearest couple weeks and I have 3 children and it is really broke my plans! I think that you should provide me with another automatic car and change your site! @europecar ( because on it everything is available !!! And it is not true!!) And also you should provide an information for your stuff of REAL AVAILABILITY OF CARS

Will use Europcar again. Great collection location. Was pleased to get car of choice rather than similar in same category. Only criticism is expect to queue for 30 minutes when collecting and returning. I would budget one hour to play safe.

Péssimo e lento atendimento. O funcionário parecia que me estava a fazer um favor. O carro até nem era mau. Fui ao Algarve com a viatura alugada e possivelmente raspei com o guarda-lamas na garagem. Confesso que não me apercebi. Cheguei deixei o carro em frente à loja. Esperei. Finalmente o funcionário atendeu-me e dirigiu-se ao carro. Acompanhei-o na inspecção sem que me tivesse apercebido de nada. O funcionário regressou à loja sem dizer uma única palavra. Já na loja, finalmente disse-me que tinha que debitar o valor do estrago. Estranhei e perguntei-lhe qual estrago. O do guarda-lamas, que estava arranhado. Como é obvio não acreditei mas quando quis ver a viatura já um outro funcionário a tinha levado. Mostrou-me a fotografia. Logicamente exigi que a viatura regressasse para ver o que se passava. E esperei cerca de meia-hora pelo regresso a viatura. Efectivamente tinha o guarda-lama arranhado. Não muito. Ok. Admiti que tivesse sido eu mas em boa verdade não o podia provar porque um outro tinha levado a viatura. Nunca o funcionário que me atendeu teve uma palavra acerca do sucedido. Parecia que me estava a fazer um favor. Paguei e fui-me embora para nunca mais voltar. Como vivi fora de Portugal alugava viaturas sempre que regressava. Fui cliente durante 15 anos da Hertz. Que diferença. Pelo meio também fui cliente de outras. Esta foi de todas a pior.
