Elegant Atlas | Group Transfers and Daily Rental with driver em Cascais

My wife and I travelled to Portugal from Jan 6-17, 2024 and stayed in Cascais. For some time prior to arriving, we had researched where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. Some of those areas incldued Obidos, Nazare, Belem and Lisbon. We were not interested in doing "commercial tours" but rather wanted our own personal private tour, recognizing that these were more expensive. Luckily and by chance, we ended meeting Carlos Marques. The first time we met Carlos at our hotel he was welcoming, friendly and very professional. His vehicle was pure luxury. Carlos took us to Obidos and Nazare one day and Belem and Lisbon another day. His days ended essentially when we were done seeing what we wanted. His knowledge of the local and National history soon became apparent and his life experiences are vast and impressive. It also became quickly apparent that Carlos was well respected amongst his peers as well as with the various people in the towns and sites we visited. We had two full days with Carlos where we experienced and learned about places and sights that most would not see or be aware of if they did it themselves or with a commercial tour group. He also took us to a local Portuguese restaurants where we had a traditional Portuguese meals which were some of the best of our 10 day trip. We can only say positive things of Carlos. The time spent with him was unforgettable and he helped us make memories that will last a lifetime. Carlos wasn’t just a guide but we now consider him a friend. Carlos's tours were two of the best we have experienced in our 40years of travelling and we will certainly be meeting with Carlos again when we return to Portugal.
