Enterprise Rent-A-Car em Coimbra

We booked through Check 24 from Germany. Works without any problems with a German credit card. When the car was returned, the deposit for the car was returned straight away. Super fast and super easy and friendly. The ladies also spoke great English. I’d love to do it again next time 😊

We booked online with our French Matercard at Entreprise rental car. We received a positive confirmation email. And the next morning at the agency, they never wanted to give us the car under the pretext that our card was not a credit card. It was not indicated anywhere in the confirmation email, nor in the reservation process, that a credit card was required to rent the car. To get the information you had to click, in the email, on a link to the general conditions of sale. Result: we found ourselves in the morning without a car. It seems that there is only Lena rental car and one other company in Coimbra, which accepts rental with a debit card. We had to go there and rent last minute (less choice of vehicles). And we wasted our morning. It's distressing. They just have to put a warning when booking online or write it in big, bold letters at the very beginning of the confirmation email. It would be more honest.

We had a new Golf for a week and everything was fine for us. Very friendly staff with very good English. We had no problems picking up and dropping off. We booked spontaneously on site and it worked perfectly and we were even able to choose the car. All in all there is nothing to complain about. 👍👍

Never pay the online reservation in advance to this company, it’s really hard to actually get the car. They’ll let you pay with debit card without any trouble and they will not say anything about the need of credit card anywhere. They send you an email, which is like kilometer long text and in the last part with smallest letters they write that you need TWO VALID CREDIT CARDS. So we went there, we didn’t have any credit card, because we didn’t know, we have payed in advance they saw everything in computer but didn’t give us the car, a lady said ,,You have to read the small letters, they are important” with not nice attitude at all. They said they’re not actually Enterprise and they cannot do anything. We tried to reach Enterprise trough phone number from the long email - the lady said ,,We are not Enterprise, call the number in the email” (we were calling that number so she said ,,okay, than it’s wrong”) and we sent email but no one answered. If you want to use this rental company, do that only in person.
