Car reeked of cigaretes! all my clothes stank after driving it. Absolutely not acceptable!
They are not honest. Never get back the reserved money for service I didn't use. The last option I'll use next time.
English couple - hired a car for 3 days. We got a practically new car for what I thought was a very good price. Pedro is a star - friendly, helpful, speaks great English and has a great sense of humour if you try him out! 😊 Very happy with the whole experience…..

Horrible company. I’m done with Hertz, nobody answers phone calls. You go to the office and get promises to solve your issues and nothing happens. This is in Portugal, by the way.
We were there during their working hours (Monday, Oct 4th, around 3pm) and the office was closed. Called their phone number, there was no answer. Waited for ~30 minutes before we finally gave up and left.
This facility is good but be aware that getting to it by car is extremely confusing. We drove around for 45 minutes trying to get there and we are not directionally challenged. We finally found someone who spoke enough English to give us insight to where it is after she inquired with a number of people in Portuguese — these people work right by it and didn’t know it was there so how could tourists? So, for your benefit — it’s tucked away in a strip mall with signage on the side, not front. The best advice we can give is to go to the bus station and then make your way behind it. There’s also a big McDonalds right near it that’s visible from a few vantage points so you’ll know you’re near when you see it. Don’t follow Google maps directions but instead just make your own way to where the place’s dot is on the map. The woman who checked in our return was great and nice and said “yes, we know it’s very hard to find”. Hertz, if you could put a sign in front of the complex or better yet a small billboard on your roof, it would help. Thanks!
Fazemos reserva para carro a gasóleo e chegamos só tem a gasolina.
Depois de fazer uma reserva, com quase um mês de antecedência, e de ter recebido um email de confirmação, recebo no dia seguinte outro email a dizer que afinal a carrinha não estará disponível e só poderia usar uma maior, e mais cara. No dia seguinte, informam que, afinal, já não seria possível entregá-la na cidade que tinha escolhido, e que foi confirmado, inicialmente. A opção que me deram foi uma cidade a 100 kms de distância.

Hertz- NUNCA MAIS. Andei com uma viatura desta rent-a-car, do dia 18 a 19 deste mês, deixei de caução 108,23 , de combustível, fiz entrega do carro dia 20 pelas 9H da manhã, devidamente atestado e comprovado pela pessoa que recebeu a mesma, HOJE DIA 25 AINDA NÃO ME DEVOLVERAM O MEU DINHEIRO
Terrible service, no diesel, no life jacket, and I was left stranded in the middle of the city with no battery in the van. A disgrace

Nada recomendado, pouco profissionalismo e com informações contratuais diferentes entre funcionários e com prejuízo para o cliente. Não recomendo .

Uma vergonha estar 15 min ao telefone e ninguém atende,péssimo serviço
Não deu para desbloquear durante 30 minutos. A carrinha não tinha combustível e demorou mais 30 minutos porque estava bloqueado. O apoio ao cliente por telefone não funciona ao fim de semana o que faz 0 sentido porque grande parte das pessoas faz mudanças ao fim de semana por falta de tempo durante a semana.
Scammers. Got a car without power steering: use the turn signal to use power steering before you steer. Really????
No geral fiquei extremamente satisfeita com o serviço da Hertz em Coimbra. O atendimento da Paula, João e outra colega (que não me recordo o nome) foi fantástico. Tive que ficar com um carro alugado mais tempo que o previsto e fui sempre muito bem atendida por telefone e pessoalmente. Deram-me os melhores preços possiveis e o carro era novo e estava limpo. Obrigado. :)

Very wide and valid choice of vehicles, honest prices, courtesy and availability of the assistants. The car rented for a few days was excellent: it smelled like new!
