I have used these guys for more years than I can remember and the reason is they have always provided a great service and have the best communications. When hiring a vehicle there are quite a few expensive pitfalls and its good to have someone who you can quickly communicate with.

Really recommend Zest - great range of car rental companies and very competitive prices. Topup insurance is included, often with free extra driver(s). Have used several times and never disappointed.

Used Zest to book car hire from Faro airport. They were very responsive when contacted by email, with a booking change, and provided clear instructions. I felt reassured that if we experienced any problems with the hire company (Masterking) Zest would be easy to contact & helpful. The collection and drop off from the Masterking kiosk was straightforward and we were happy with the car. Holding deposit refunded within a few days if our return home.

As a member of Which, they recommended ZEST Car Rental. Started to use them in September 2022 for first time via their easy to navigate UK Web site. We wanted an alternative option for Rent-a-car at Faro airport. We chose via ZEST at Faro airport - LC rent a car and have used them 4 times. You go to car park 4 a short walk opposite Faro airport terminal building. There is a mobile unit there where it is shared by a number of different rent a car companies. LC have a space on the right hand side as u walk in. The car hire price is noticeably less than the big brands at the airport. The cars can be 2-4 years old, BUT look and drive like new. Best not to have new or nearly new cars we believe. Service very efficient and no fuss. So far an excellent option for car hire at Faro airport. Recommended. Be aware as to how car hire prices have risen and especially with the big car hire brands.

Highly recommended, we hired a car from Faro Airport by Drive4Fun through them. No hard sell on the insurance, very smooth process and the Drive4Fun guys were incredible. Far better than the terrible service, borderline fraud and hassle in the past when hiring from the big companies like Hertz and GoldCar. Will use again, without doubt.

Waiting 3 hours for a car with Felirent in Bari What a waste of time. Ended up having to spend £134 extra on the car as didnt have a credit card with me and therefore was forced to spend double. It was a one star review but ive added a star due to Zest trying to sort things out. However, I feel they shouldnt even have companies like Felirent on their system.

I wanted to hire a car for our trip to Sicily. Shopping around, I found Zest. It was considerably cheaper than others and allowed me the opportunity of obtaining full no quibble insurance at an extremeley competitive rate. I must admit, I was a little sceptical but went for it - after reading some of the reviews. I have just come back and it was all fine. the Car Rental Company that were providing the car were not upselling because I was fully covered and the whole process was stress free. I would not hesitate to recommend or use Zest again.

Would book through Zest again, very straightforward process and liked having the backup of a UK based company in case of any issues.

Following Which recommendations on best and worst car hire ratings for a recent holiday in Greece, I chose Zest (its recommended broker) and Alamo (its 4th rated overseas provider), having previously used, its No.1 provider for the Canaries, AutoReisen, for many years without knowledge of their recommendation. The outcome was excellent: a good car with hassle-free service and the convenience of airport collection and drop off. Accordingly, Id have no hesitation in using Alamo via Zest again.

I was very happy to use Zest cars. All very straight forward and easy to use. The pickup at Gatwick was OK. I didnt need to call the local company as there was another person (the local companys staff), already waiting for a lift.

Excellent experience using Zest to rent a car in Chania, Crete. The booking and payment via Zest was very easily before we left the UK and the car hire firm in Crete (Enterprise) were friendly and efficient. We got a really premium experience at a very reasonble price. On the basis of this hire I would certainly recommend Zest.

We saw good reviews on Tripadvisor and on our recent trip to the Algarve, we decided to give them a try. We werent disappointed. They were very friendly and efficient. They explained all the costs and the toll roads clearly. We had no extra hidden costs. The overall price was very reasonable. We will definitely be using them again when we go abroad.

It is frustrating to have to write this, all the more so since Zest could have earned a 5 star rating if not for failing to return my deposit. After an easy booking process with Zest/Masterkings in Lisbon, I duly returned the vehicle without issue. Days turned into weeks and my deposit had not been returned. It has now been over a month and a half. While acknowledging the error and claiming to be in discussion with Masterkings about the deposit, Zest refuses to tell me why there has been such a major delay on conducting a simple transaction, let alone any timeline. As such, I recommend avoiding Zest given that they do not live up to their contractual obligations.

Booked a one way rental in the US from Phoenix to Las Vegas with Zest. Pricing was very clear and good value. No stress around reduced/additional excesses etc. Vehicle (Nissan Altima) provided by Alamo. No issues at pick up or drop off. We were treated exactly the same as customers who had booked direct. Will definitely use Zest again in future.

The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional, making the entire process seamless from start to finish. Booking was easy, and I appreciated having an online account where I could adjust my car preference multiple times before my trip. As an independent car hire broker, Zest partners with local rental companies at your destination and provides extra protection, so I didn t need to buy additional coverage from the local company. Although it was busy when I arrived, my car was ready, with any minor marks clearly noted on the paperwork. Returning the car was just as hassle-free, with no hidden fees. I used Zest to hire a car from Centaro in Italy. Service was good with collection and pick up being quick and straightforward. The hire included collision damage waiver insurance which meant I was confidently able to resist Centauro s offer of extra insurance at pickup which would have doubled the overall cost.

Was a very good deal. Got exactly the vehicle we rented. Wasnt brand new, but was clean and in great shape, and at a fraction of the price of others. Take an Uber to their office (a short way from the airport) if you want to avoid the craziness of the airport.

929 good reviews I dont believe it the must be scamming google with Fake reviews . we booked a car for pick up at Barcelona Airport thinking it was ZEST and they farmed us out to Click car rental who took 1and half hours to pick us up before we ended up paying for a taxi to take us to Click which is based in an underground Hotel Car park miles away .Click gave us a FIAT Panda not what we ordered ,we ordered a Toyota 4 door I should have walked out then but these people are relying on travellers just wanting to get to their destination. On return they said we had a scratch to the front spoiler an area we didnt video this scratch was 10 mm and surface but no amount of discussion would persuade them that the scratch was evident in our video they charged us 900 Euros of our card even though we had taken out insurance ZEST are a bunch of SHARKS

Zest was really good at finding a suitable vehicle at a much lower price than was being offered by the same companies on their own website. Securing the vehicle was straightforward and everything was confirmed within 24 hours. The vehicle we were given by the car hire company was perfect for our group of 6 with lots of luggage and was brand new!

Brilliant Car Hire experience with Zest. I was really worried about hiring a car, Zest CS were brilliant at answering all my questions. I read bad reviews for the car hire company I would be using and the price seemed too cheap and thought maybe I had missed something. I bought the additional excess protection from Zest. I did not need to worry, the price was correct and everything was fine, including a free upgraded car. I would most definitely recommend both Zest and Centauro, as although the vehicle I had was more damaged on pick up than the paperwork stated, Zest and Centauro were very reassuring that it was not a problem as I had documented everything with photos and videos. There was no issue at all with the car rental, pick up or return. Car was handed back within 5 minutes and all deposits returned immediately. Very happy and will use Zest again

After several years, again we have had excellent and a reliable service.

I agreed to pay the £40 offered top up to cover everything as per policy. On arrival to Turkey I have Benn forced to pay an additional cover of £128. I showed the prepaid agreement to the rental desk in Turkey but hasnt been honored. I contacted the office in the UK that asked me to put it in writing which I have done and the response received after 3 weeks was a long list of an un understandable justification to what had happened. I will never use this company again and not recommending it to others

I rented a car with zest in Greece and it was a very poor experience. They connected me with an EXTREMELY poorly rated local rental agency, which I didn t realize until the day I was supposed to pick up my car, and when I had issues they were completely unhelpful in remedying them. I specifically picked an in town pick up for my car, not the airport location, and when I arrived at the location (after walking to it for about 30 mins) the office was no where to be found. After getting in contact with the agency they informed me (with horrible customer service) that I had to pick it up at the airport location, even tho I had a completely different pick up location on my contract. Zest was deeply unhelpful in remedying it and I had to go through my credit card company to get a refund. Would not recommend. Just find a local, well rated agency.

Im happy with the service provided and communication regarding the car hire. They have a wide selection of local partner/rental companies and Zest just provides that extra security that you will not get ripped off by a dodgy rental company you are not familiar with.

Easy to Book, good price, excellent car supplier experience (Masterking in Faro) during collection and return with none of the fuss or mucking about (and often indifference) that you get with the big name rentals (eg Avis or Europcar with whom my experience with both was awful). Have yet to receive Deposit and Toll refunds, but assume these will happen in the timeframe.

New ooff airport car hire. Great vehicle. Good customer service tho a few teething issues as new business - were training up staff so booking in took a little longer than usual. No paperwork is issued - all done on system. Take photos of car and mileage before you leave. As no paperwork is issued ensure you have enough charge on your phone if you cannot use in car sat nav as first time use the location can be a bit tricky. They need a large sign on the outside of the property perimeter as the location is more remote than the usual off airport site. Good customer care tho. Didn t try to force buying their extra cover as I always buy through Zest or my own annual.

An excellent process throughout. We wanted full insurance, no nonsense and squabbling over extras as we picked up the car. The service we got on both pick up and return was outstanding. We had a lovely puegot 2008 auto with Half a tank of fuel, full explanation of how/where to return the car from some brilliant staff. We would definitely use them again.

After bad experiences with Goldcar, we decided to try going through ZEST and CENTAURO!! We couldnt have asked for a easier rental, also honesty when checking our car back, we were out of hours, so had to leave the car. We had no worries, it was checked whilst we were flying back and they honestly checked it back, with no claim of damages, which werent there!! This is the problem we had with Goldcar!! 3 times being accused of damage to the rental car, which wasnt the truth!! Fighting it has been hard, we lost the first 2, but 3rd time lucky, we won the last. So Zest thank you and Centauro thank you for an easy rental, with no worry for future rentals, having to leave it out of hours, we wont worry again about being accused of damage we havent done. Lovely car as well.

Very disappointed. I used Zest for the first time in February 2024, attracted in large part by the offer of a free additional driver. Whilst there was no problem with the car and the pick up/return I was charged for the additional driver at the airport rental desk. On return home I contacted Zest in the expectation this would be promptly refunded. Almost two months later the silence continues with Zest advising me my contract is with the rental company and not them. Im sure this is true from a legal viewpoint but from a customer service aspect it stinks. Please do not allow your car rental decision making to be influenced by the free additional driver offer. In my experience, it doesnt exist.

Bei der Ausfahrt geht die Schranke auch einfach auf. Dann immer am Rand des Parkplatzes bis zum großen Schild P4 fahren. Siehe Foto. Wenn man zu zweit ist die Koffer vorher bei Departures, wo auch die Busse halten ausladen. Update Februar 2024: Ich war wieder sehr zufrieden.

I have used Zest a number of times and always find the service top class both from Zest and the car rental company. My recent rental was for Faro through Zest and RentAuto and it was one of the best for both collection and return I have experienced.

We used Zest again for a weeks car hire in Malta this time and collected the car from Sixt at the airport. The car was as ordered, well looked after and an automatic. This allowed us to travel all over Malta. It was easy at the airport both collecting the car and dropping it off and the security deposit was cleared from my card in two days. The price was excellent compared to anyone else. Zest also keep you fully up to date with the rental. We will certainly use Zest again should we need to hire a car.

I rented a vehicle in Cyprus through Zest. The cost was very competitive and the vehicle excellent. This is my third experience renting abroad - Morocco and Italy before - and on each occasion the service has been excellent with good communication and lack of the mumbo jumbo that is typically associated with car hire brokers.

Recently used Zest for car hire at Faro airport, have also used them previously without fault. The day before travelling, I noticed that Id accidentally booked an automatic transmission drive rather than a manual drive. I contacted Zest, who made the necessary changes without charge. We received an email saying that our new hire voucher may be 48 hours, but we needed to have it at the airport with us 12 hours later. I called Zest from Leeds Bradford Airport at 9 am when the phones opened, they sorted things our for us whilst we were in flight. Our car was waiting for us when we arrived, and the new voucher was ready to download, they had also sent on a copy of the voucher for us to the car hire team in Faro. Couldnt be happier, very easy to work with, creating a stress free environment for handling any problems which arise. Never had any silly penalty charges, or any attempts to sell unnecessary insurance, etc, will always use Zest now wherever I can.

Overall very good service. Car was as expected and worked perfectly. Location of car rental booth was not ideal, however Zest gave good written instructions on how to find it. I needed to pay EUR 300 deposit, but this was returned after returning the car undamaged, so this was not an issue.

Sold an airport car rental for a location 25 minutes away from the airport with a shuttle service that is actually a 3rd party hotel hoppa bus that only leaves EVERY HOUR. Then hide behind small print and additional details to justify what is clearly a sketchy sales practice. Cheap car ended up being not at all cheap when the hire company also refused to accept a debit card for the already outrageous deposit amount, but were happy to accept that self same card for an extra fee of 110% above the car hire fee. Cowboys selling cowboys. Update: Its extra fun to have people lecture me about how I am wrong to be in any way upset and point out how their fine print makes it quite clear that they are cowboys and I should not be upset that if it looks like a shake-down and feels like a shake down then it is perfectly acceptable to be shook down as long as all the fine print is in order. The car was brand new with only 4000km driven so was very comfortable and easy to drive. Fair pricing with no surprises! Ive hired two cars through Zest over the last three years and each one has been perfect. One was in Portugal and one in Spain. On both occasions we were met in arrivals by the hire company and the car was ready for us to drive away within minutes. Algarve / Faro airport car hire - good value, honest and efficient. We don t hire through anybody else. We select on-airport pickup, fair fuel policy, and walk 50 metres from the airport terminal to car park 4 to collect cars provided by local companies vetted by Zest. This is not a serious company. I paid in advance the full value of the rental, summer high season in Italy, to avoid potential issues, to have my car available. It was a 2,500 usd fee. We simply picked the standard hour to have our car available (12pm) and when we arrived there the car had been let go at 1pm, and they are not refunding me. I had to search for and pay double this value for another car, which was almost inpossible. And Zest still says it was my fault because we did not arrive at 12pm and that I should have paid attention to the fine print. Do not be fooled by this company they are not serious and they are not the company renting the vehicles. My vacations were seriously disrupted and I took a loss of 3000 euro because of them. Weve had good experiences using this search engine for car rentals. The prices were lower than we could find elsewhere, and although they connected us to smaller dealers, you can buy full insurance (for minimal price) through them, which covers everything so we have no problems with dings or scratches on the car upon return. Will be using them again for sure.

Prices from Zest are hard to beat. However, be warned that customer service is poor and the no excess CDW that they claim to provide is a complete scam. If you chose to rent from them, make sure you are insured elsewhere (like your credit card). Rented a car through Zest this summer in Portugal. Great car from the rental agency. Contract clearly stated that there was a 2500EUR excess. Didnt pay much attention to this fact, not necessarily understanding the liability this entailed because after all, Zest claims zero excess on all rentals. Unfortunately had a small run in with a column in a parking garage. Was charged 700 EUR by the rental company. Fair enough, there was damage, and the estimate in my opinion was fair. Contact Zest about their no excess insurance policy. First agent tells me the damage is not covered because there was not another vehicle involved! Call back, thinking the agent had incorrectly understood me. This time it seems the problem is that I hadn t purchased their to up insurance. Note the top up covers stuff that is not typically covered in CDW like windshields, tires, underbody etc. Why would I need top up to be covered for damage to a door and fender? Finally, as it turns out, the only CDW offered was the one in the rental contract with a 2500 EUR. HOW IS THIS ZERO EXCESS?

*** Here is an update. Centauro have finally refunded me 450 Euros but it took over 4 weeks. I have also had a positive communication with Zest explaining what they try and do and they have offered me a good will gesture which is appreciated. However, I would still suggest avoiding Centauro unless you are prepared to take the expensive additional insurance that they offer locally. Otherwise, you are open to the sort of practice that I experienced.*** AVOID Centauro Firstly, let me say that we (and our friends and family) have used Zest several times in the past with companies like Enterprise, Record and Top Gear Mobility and have had no problems at all. They offer competitive pricing and a good choice of cars. However, I made the big mistake of using the Zest/Centauro option at Alicante. Firstly, Centauro try the insurance hard sell tactic and it took over 10 minutes to convince the sales assistant that I did not want it. Secondly, on return I was charged 450 Euros to my credit card by an assistant (who admitted she was brand new) for damage to the passenger door - but there was no damage. All of the above was witnessed by an ex Policeman friend who could not believe it. So on return home I immediately contacted Zest Customer Relations for assistance. This all happened 3 weeks ago and all that I have been told to do is to make a claim for excess re-imbursement via Orchard Admin. Zest claim Excess Protection - we always remove your excess, so youre not out of pocket if the worst happens. So beware the worst did not happen to me and I am out of pocket. I still dont know if I will get the 450 Euros back. The bottom line is please AVOID the Zest/Centauro option.

Zest provided me with exemplary service. At the time of booking they provided detailed information on finding the pick up point at the airport along with useful information such as not needing the DVLA driver record and explanations of insurance options and included a second driver. I chose to use Visacar at Faro and they too were superb. A nearly new well appointed car that wasn t bottom of the range and their staff were welcoming and friendly, removing the parcel shelf to help with loading the luggage. At the end of the hire Zest provided information about how any pre-authorisation process might work and a link to contact them if any problems arose. I highly recommend them and will be my go to car hire company in the future.

First time using Zest to rent a car in Malaga - recommended by Which? Car provided by Centauro which is off airport via shuttle bus. Waited around 20 minutes for the shuttle bus and took about the same to do the paperwork to collect the car, so around an hour from airport to driving away. Drop-off was quicker - around 15 minutes from arriving at the yard to being dropped off at the airport. No hard sell on upgrades / insurances. Nearly new car. Very happy.

I was allocated the wrong car on arrival and had to fight with the manager and then wait over 2hrs to recieve an inferior car to what I ordered and then I was told its the best they can do. After escalating the complaint to Zest HO I was told the car was of the same category even though the car was significantly cheaper and less qualitative. PAY THE EXTRA £15/£20 AND GO DIRECT WITH THE BIG PROVIDERS. DONT WAST YOUR TIME WITH ZEST.

Zest has been my go to car rental company for some years now. I have many years of experience in car rental and I find this company to be the most straightforward to deal with. All aspects of contract are transparent with great communication. I would not use any other company.

Zest Car Rental came to me as the only company recommended by Which? in the current appalling Car Rental climate globally at the present time (Oct 2023). Zests system worked perfectly and provided me with numerous options for affordable deals on which they had done all the research donkey work for me, and believe me, Im a stickler for research myself! Once the booking was done online with Zest they provided all the documentation which made both collection and return of the vehicle an absolute breeze, and were available 24/7 to with a customer support phone number should the need arise. Highly recommended.

The companys employees are responsible, respond quickly to inquiries, try to understand and explain everything. I will certainly be using their services in the future.

Ive used this company for years but when you need their help dealing with a car hire company abroad trying to recover 1263 they are a totally useless leaving you out on a limb using their ambiguous website script . one day I will laugh about this company but not today. I think I know why they chose the name Zest because theyre taking the pith , leaving you with a bitter taste , and fit some Aircon to your office you dont have that many fans !

Great service and excellent price

Giving a 1 star due to the fact after a 11hr flight to LAX then getting a bus to the car rental terminal another 20mins and then queuing for over an 1hr to be told Zest had not hired me the correct car. I had to pay an additional £200 pounds for a car....be careful if your booking and travelling to LAX. I am still waiting for some one to contact me from Zest. I sent a email to your customer Relations team on the 20th November and have not had a response back. Very Poor Service

Excellent company always great service and competitive prices

Our plane landed 3 hours late, one hour beyond the opening hours of Zest car rental, the representative was still there, had to pay a reasonable few euros for late arrival. I thought there would be no-one there and Id have to taxi to hotel and return in the morning for the car, surprised to be greeted by the car rental representative, will definitely use in future. Car was immaculate and even smelt clean.

We booked a car through Zest with Key Go Rental for three weeks at Alicante airport. We picked Zest because they offered a second driver included in the overall cost (some other companies charge 8 per day). It was the first time I had opted for an off site car rental company and the whole experience was really smooth: Transfer mini bus was waiting when we reached the bust stop, paperwork was done quickly, no hard sell of extra insurance when we had an excess insurance already (but note that, as normal, there will be a deposit taken on your credit card for the excess), car was clean and comfortable, return process was quick and pleasant, return mini bus transfer took only 5 minutes. Overall, a really good experience.

Hired from Madeira airport. No problems with transport to the car hire venue. Car was in very good condition but we were taken round the car by the employee who spotted and documented minor issues we did not spot. No problems with handing back the car and they quickly got us back to the airport.

I ve just used Zest for my car hire in Faro. I d 100 % recommend them and use them again. Easily contacted , British landline. Totally transparent. They are a broker but they only use reputable and highly recommended companies. It was easier to go via them and same price . When I exited arrivals at Faro airport, I hadn t read where to pick up car from exactly. I looked on email , called their number , British lady answered straight away and guided me to the pick up point . Brilliant.

Smooth process on their website, great customer service with very fast response and interaction with the car provider. Ill definitely use them again to search for car rental options.

We rented cars through Zest twice on our trip to Portugal and Spain with Rent-$-Less (Amoita) as the car supplier. The cars were in excellent condition. The car pick-up and drop-off process were fast and smooth with no surprises. The customer support and communications were excellent. We would certain rent through Zest and Rent-$-Less again on future trips.
