Siesta Campers Faro em Faro

Nous avons adoré nos 5 jours passés dans le siesta sierra avec nos deux jeunes enfants. Un grand merci pour laccueil, le sourire et la bonne humeur à la réception de notre van et au retour. Les véhicules sont propres et récents, les packs lit sont confortables, la partie cuisine bien équipée. Le dépôt à est 5 minutes de laéroport, un vrai plus pour nous et il y a un camping juste en face pour la dernière nuit avant de reprendre lavion. On recommande absolument Siesta Campers !

Ein sehr seriöses Unternehmen. Alles ist perfekt organisiert. Ich habe einen T6 California gemietet und war rundum zufrieden mit dem Fahrzeug. Hatte knapp 25000km gelaufen und alles war in einem einwandfreien Zustand. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Fahrzeug wurde in allen Details erklärt und die Videos die Siesta Campers zur Verfügung stellt erklären zusätzlich noch einmal alle Fragen zum Fahrzeug. Ich würde immer wieder hier einen Camper mieten und kann das Unternehmen nur empfehlen. Ich selbst bin normalerweise Motorrad Reisender. War zum ersten Mal in Portugal und auch zum ersten Mal mit einem Camper Van unterwegs. Bin froh das ich Siesta Campers für meine erste Erfahrung im Bereich Camper Van gewählt habe. Das hat mein erstes mal Camper Van und Portugal zu einem Erlebnis gemacht. Danke an das ganze Team von Siesta Campers Faro.

L expérience avec Siesta a été plutôt concluante. Nous avons loué un Siesta Pacific au départ de FARO une semaine. La prise du camping-car peut se faire en théorie à partir de 14 heures. Notre avion ayant deux heures de retard nous sommes arrivés à 14h45 à l agence. On nous annonce que le van n est pas prêt car il n a pas été rendu dans les temps et dans un très sale état avec les clients précédents. Nous avons ensuite pu commencé notre trip. Nous avons également eu un petit problème technique concernant le frigo mais nous avons été dépanné par un gentil jeune homme au téléphone en visio ce qui nous a permis de continuer le voyage sans encombre. Nous avons vu des spots extraordinaires et vécu de très bons moment grâce à l expérience van.

We had a great time with the Siesta Beach Model driving around all of south-west Portugal. Everything went smoothly, pickup and drop-off, and the staff is extremely nice and helpful, and they are available 24/7 if you have questions on the road. They even offer you things that previous people left, like Coffee and spices and games. Everything was documented and communicated well, so there were no bad surprises in the end or any problems with the use of the van. In retrospect, I think getting the extra insurance for 20 /night was not worth it if you are comfortable with one driver, cause if you treat the car well and follow the rules you wont need what little it would cover. Overall, great price for what you get! Would definitely go with Siesta Campers again if I ever want to do a Roadtrip in Portugal again.

Great experience with Siesta Van, the customer service was great and the Van was in excellent conditions

Beware! Cheaters!We received the van after a short introduction (15-20 min) They opended the kitchen tap for a few seconds, the bathroom tap/sink haven t been checked in front of us. No advice to check the interior. It was generally sloppy maintained (no toilet chemicals; after the first kilometers in the van we noticed a really bad smell/ like feces and we didn t use the toilet or the water tap before; no water hose for water refill; later we noticed a totally clogged drain in the kitchen). We also got a confirmation that the van would come with epoxy surfboards. It didn t. After a long discussion ( it was not my fault, but my colleagues ) they gave us a small discount, which was pointless regarding the fact that we spent the afternoon with looking for surfboards rather than starting our trip. At 12pm we looked for the first time into the bathroom and noticed a broken sink. We informed immediately Siesta in the following morning. After returning the van, they did not notice the damaged sink, we had to emphasize the damage, even then they needed to check further to notice it. It is absolutely obvious to me that they have no thorough check protocol or don t stick to it. before pickup. Instead they accused us for damaging the sink and charged me over 600 for a damage we did NOT cause (and we had full coverage insurance). They payment was performed by charging my credit card WITHOUT my permission. They never made an effort to contact the previous clients. I have never seen a repair bill, and 600 seems ridiculous. I rented a van 8 years ago and had contact with the owners back then. They were really nice people and cared a lot. Things have changed fundamentally, it seems like they are loosing control after a considerable growth (which i totally begrudge to them). I run a company with over 40 employees and 3 locations by myself and know about quality control issues we face every day. But there is a lot of homework left. Contacting my attorney because of unauthorized credit card payment and dubious contractual basis.

Very good experience, van in excellent condition and well equipped. Pleasant and welcoming welcome and return. A bus leaves from Faro bus station and takes you a few minutes walk from the site.

Super roadtrip d une semaine avec le Siesta Beach, le van est bien équipé, moderne et avec peu de kilométrage. Siesta Campers met également à disposition des options (paddle, linge de lit, etc) en fonction des besoins. Les procédures d arrivée et de départ sont précises et rapides (explication du fonctionnement du véhicule). Idéal pour passer des vacances au coeur de la nature !

Notre correspondante, Emily, a immédiatement répondu. Elle a répondu très rapidement et avec précision à toutes nos questions, et même plus encore. Elle nous a donné des informations sur les transports depuis Lisbonne, sur les caractéristiques complètes des vans, sur les campings, les réservations, . Elle nous a envoyé des liens pour des sites nous donnant des informations précises sur tout ce que nous voulions. Quel gain de temps! Au lieu de chercher pendant des heures, nous avons directement eu l information exacte! J ai pu écrire en français et ai reçu des réponses en français. Je ne peux que recommander leur service, leur réactivité et leur gentillesse! À recommander très vivement !

Highly recommended. We had some issues with the van at the start; sadly only detected on the second day. So we had to go back for some repairs. Yes one could say that should impact the rating as it should have been detected, but: 1. it was done super fast 2. everybody showed full understanding no further questions asked just solved it right away 3. after the booking a compensation was offered without any further pushing from our end so even though it was not 100% perfect maybe, they totally made up for it. On top everybody working there is full of compassion, considerate and super friendly. to be honest like all Portuguese, what is going with those people 10/10 also of Portuguese peopele in general <3.

Unkomplizierte Campervermietung. Die Fahrzeuge waren nagelneu, unter 3000 KM Laufleistung! Die Ausstattung war top und hat alles was ein Camper benötigt. Das Fahrzeug wurde uns sehr sauber übergeben. Lediglich die 2. Batterie Anzeige hat etwas gesponnen und permanent 0% angezeigt obwohl alles funktionierte. Das Team war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert, wir wurden sogar nach der Fahrzeugrückgabe noch an unser AirBnB gefahren. Da der für uns vorgesehen Camper eine Woche vor der Reise verunfallte wurden wir sogar kostenfrei hochgestuft und haben einen teureren Camper für den gleichen Preis bekommen. Auch hier lief alles reibungslos und wurde von den Mitarbeitern zu bester Zufriedenheit geregelt.

From booking online, to easy pick up with and demo with Ricardo and a super friendly and professional return with Monica, everything was amazing, the van had more supplies then I thought. We even booked extra days. There are many van options out there but this one had the best commutation and support. I wish I booked for 2 weeks not 1. I will be back, strongly recommend seista.

Had a great experience with Siesta Campers. We rented the Siesta Beach for a week. It was the perfect size for two people and had all we needed for our time exploring the west coast. Pick-up and drop-off were quick and easy. I would absolutely rent from Siesta Campers again, but next time I would book a longer vacation!

We had a such a great time traveling around in our Siesta camper! We loved how spacious it was for the two of us. I also was surprised about all the amenities the van offered - it came with full kitchen supplies, camp chairs, outdoor table, and sleeping bags. Siesta campers made our first ever trip in a camper van so easy! We rented in Faro, Portugal. I was nervous about renting a camper as I ve heard a few horror stories about deposits and fussy company s but this was nothing like that! They gave me a map of the existing damage to the van and walked through how to use everything before we set off. Would definitely recommend this company and we will be using them again, also the staff were super friendly and helpful with anything we needed

Der VW T6 war in super Zustand. Bei der Übergabe wurden alle Macken erfasst. Man konnte sogar noch Beschädigungen nachmelden, das fanden wir super da man doch mal schnell was bei der Übergabe übersieht. Rückgabe lief auch problemlos ab und die Kommunikation mit dem Team von Siesta Campers ist auch nicht zu beanstanden. Ein sehr freundliches und kundenorientiertes Team.

Everything worked great! The van was great, the booking, pick-up, handover and the whole process was really easy and uncomplicated :) Will definitely rent one again next year, but then a new bus!

Overall eine tolle Erfahrung und sehr hilfsbereite Miterbeitende. Der Start unserer Reise verlief jedoch nicht optimal. Am Tag der Abholung wurden wir informiert, dass der Camper Van nicht zur vereinbarten Zeit verfügbar sein wird und erst am Abend abgeholt werden kann. Als wir zur vereinbarten Zeit angekommen sind, war das Fahrzeug noch nicht bereit und wir mussten weitere zwei Stunden vor Ort warten - es handelte sich um ein neues Fahrzeug und dabei kamen unverhofft einige Komplikationen dazu. Um uns entgegenzukommen, hat uns Siesta Campers einen Tag des Fahrzeugs geschenkt. Der Mitarbeiter vor Ort war sehr bemüht und freundlich, hat uns die Features des Campers im Detail gezeigt. Das Fahrzeug war nach dem holprigen Start echt toll und wir genossen die Reise in vollen Zügen. Auch Abnahme des Fahrzeugs am Standort in Lissabon verlief reibungslos.

Weve had an amazing time in the Siesta Atlantic camper this spring. We were travelling with 2 small kids and they also loved it. Weve rented an old vintage campervan before (somewhere else) and I can tell you we prefer the luxury of a campervan that drives smooth and just works! We loved the fact that its compact so parking is not a problem. The Siesta team was also very kind and helpfull when we picked up and returned the van. Will definately rent here again! Thank you!

We hebben 10 dagen een vw atlantic gehuurd met baby. We hebben gereden van porto naar Lissabon. Een mooie ervaring en een supere leuke tijd gehad. Bij aankomst was de bus helaas niet klaar en schoon. Ook de verhuurder was niet op tijd. Vervolgens moesten we nog 1 uur wachten. Dus zijn we in de Porto naar het strand gewandeld met baby. We waren al ruim 10u onderweg. Na 1 uur kwamen we terug, volgend probleem. De sleutel van de bus was zoek. Er kwam een andere bus, we moesten de volgende dag terugkomen om de bus te ruilen. Gelukkig vonden wij de sleutel, deze lag namelijk op een van de andere bussen. Erg onprofessioneel! Ze kwamen chaotische over. Vervolgens kregen we de uitleg van de bus, duurde erg lang allemaal. Ruim 1,5u. Instructie baby bunk bed was niet bekend bij hun, niet eerder gedaan. We waren de eersten die hier gebruik van gingen maken? Gelukkig wisten wij hoe het werkte. Ik liet ze een YouTube filmpje zien. Toen alles klaar was moest de bus nog getankt worden. Rond 17.00 uur reden we weg uit Porto, terwijl we rond 14.00-14.30 hadden afgesproken. Tijdens de rit komen we er achter dat de watertank niet gevuld was, de wc niet schoonwas en dat daar geen schoonmaak middel in zat. Ook overige schoonmaakmiddelen waren niet aanwezig. Ze geven aan een volledige keuken inventaris te hebben, echter was er geen mogelijkheid om koffie te zetten, 1 oude koekenpan. Geen aansteker voor het fornuis. Er was een waslijn van 1 meter met 5 knijpers. Zie foto s. Nogmaals, we hebben een geweldige tijd gehad, maar de prijs die je betaald voor wat ze aanbieden is niet helemaal in verhouding(2200 euro).We hebben zelf nog nieuwe pan aangeschaft, een koffie pot, waslijn en knijpers. Een parasol, die we meekregen was kapot. Ook de baby bunk bed is niet ideaal, verhuurder geeft aan bij terugkomst zelf zijn eigen kind ook niet in dat systeem te willen laten slapen. Terwijl hij bij de check-in het een mooi systeem vond maar het niet kende. Siësta campers dank voor de geweldige ervaring maar besteed aandacht aan de service en maak waar wat je aanbiedt. Reactie op post eigenaar: De jongens die ons hielpen werkten al meer dan 1 jaar voor siestcampers. De jongen die de sleutel verstopt had was niet aanwezig Op de locatie porto maar was in Lissabon. Ik heb inderdaad niet gebeld voor het ontbreken van een waslijn een koekenpan knijpers schoonmaak middel en een koffiezetapparaat. De 24 uurs service lijkt mij bedoelt voor problemen met de bus. We konden dus prima zelf bovenstaande problemen oplossen en hebben de aangeschafte spullen zelf mee naar huis genomen. Jullie hebben mij inderdaad gebeld met het verzoek een en ander te bespreken en kort te sluiten. Dit hebben wij zelf al gedaan bij het inleveren van de bus dus voor ons nu niet meer nodig. De staf was niet nieuw, hij werkte er al een jaar en was niet bekend met het systeem. Bij het inleveren van de bus gaven beide staf medewerkers aan het een niet fijn systeem te vinden en dat alleen de eigenaars hier veelvuldig gebruik van maakten. Letterlijke citaat; ik zou mijn kinderen hier niet in willen laten slapen. De wc was vies en functioneerde niet naar behoren. Ook ontbrak het schoonmaak Middel hiervoor. Deze was duidelijk vooraf niet schoongemaakt. Dat de bus 2 weken oud was/is was niet te zien. Er waren dan al behoorlijke gebreken aan de bus. Met name aan het interieur. Los van de krassen en deuken aan de buitenkant. Sorry maar wij hebben geen 2500km gereden. We zijn van porto naar Lissabon gereden en weer terug. In 10 dagen hebben wij 5 campings bezocht en gemiddeld 2 nachten op een camping gestaan. Eerder 1000 km gereden. Lissabon porto via de tolweg is 360km. We hebben inderdaad 2x de reis moeten annuleren. Dit vanwege COVID-19. We zijn blij dat jullie toen flexibel waren. Dit hebben jullie zelf aangeboden. Nogmaals; biedt de service die jullie pretenderen te bieden.

The family just returned from a beautiful ten-day adventure with the Siesta Atlantic. The staff are friendly and helpful from pick up to drop off brand new quality-made VW van equipped with everything we could need. Nice touches like solar panels meant we could go days without campsite recharging. I would recommend these guys, and its a fantastic way to see Portugal. Thank you, Siesta team; we will be back again soon, as our girls are still raving about it now and said it was their best holiday ever.

Fantastic service, amazing experience. We had an absolute blast with our vintage Van. Theres just something different having such a cool car to drive the roads. Every day, we saw people turning their heads towards us or making a peace sign when we drove by. It really is pure joy. This was our first time in a camper-van and ah we had the best time! We rented the T6 Atlantic for 8 days and everything went so well. The staff were always solution oriented and helpful when we had a question. The van itself was super clean when we picked it up, and gave us the best memories in Portugal. Amazing experience. I highly recommend this company for your campervan holiday in Portugal. The customer service was five stars and they made the whole thing easy. We went for a vintage campervan. If you choose this option, be aware that it is slow travel. We liked it that way: We chose the Bahia which had plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 9). Lastly, you will get a lot of friendly looks and smile in these beautiful old campervans- we felt very cool. Thanks Siesta!

the BEST way to travel in Portugal. going with siesta campers was probably the best decision Ive made in this trip. the whole experience was amazing and super relaxed. Ive arrived at to pick up my van and everyone there was super nice and welcoming which already started to the trip on the right note. traveling with a camper in Portugal is in my opinion the best way to experience the land and all it has to offer. drive wherever you want and when you want to stop just park and you have your whole home with you. no need to book hotels or restaurants in advance. it truly the most free, flexible and care free way to travel here.

Renting a camper van was definitely the best decision we made for our trip through the Algarve! We picked up the camper van in Faro earlier than expected and were impressed with the kind service and all the surfing spot recommendations we got from the staff. We chose Salvador which had plenty of space for 2. For us it definitely was the best option to move around easily, at our own pace and choose our own itinerary to explore the breathtaking coastline, epic caves and archways Portugal has to offer. Siesta Campers are an incredible and friendly place to hire classic and new campers from - we took out a Classic and explored the Algarve for a week, was such an awesome experience to drive these machines and feel like were in the 80s cruising around! Definitely would recommend these guys if youre looking to rent any kind of camper in Faro.

Nous avons loué un van T6 Pendant 5 jours via siesta campers. nous étions 4 deux adultes 1 enfant de 5 ans et 1 bébé. Le van était dans un état parfait, très propre, très bien équipé. Aucune mauvaise surprise. Nous avions un interlocuteur très disponible ce qui a été très appréciable et surtout de bons conseils ! Nous referons appel à siesta campers sans aucun soucis!! 2020 ist ein schwieriges Jahr... wir hatten uns Ende September relativ spontan für einen Roadtrip durch Portugal entschieden. Gutes Wetter, wenig Mensch und geringe Coronazahlen machten uns die Entscheidung leicht. Schnell sind wir auf Siestacampers aufmerksam geworden. Der Preis war absolut in Ordnung, die Onlinereservierung klappte einwandfrei. Am Flughafen haben wir den Wagen in Empfang genommen, uns wurde alles erklärt und wir konnten durchstarten. Petra, die mit uns die Übergabe machte ist eine sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossene Person. Der Wagen war sauber und das notwendigste ist vorhanden. Man lernt schnell seine Bedürfnisse dem Camperleben anzupassen und den minimalistischen Lebensstil zu genießen. Der Wagen lässt sich einfach fahren, ist nicht zu groß und nicht zu klein und auch in etwas holprigem Gelände zuverlässig und das bei geringem Verbrauch. Insgesamt war dieser Urlaub, dank Siestacampers, mein Highlight 2020. Danke an das gesamte Team. Ich werde wieder dort buchen, vielleicht schon nächstes Jahr. ;)

Very good solution for a holiday at this time! The company has a very good website, it is easy to book. In case of any questions you can talk on the phone with the staff. Everything is explained during presentation at the beggining and the van comes with basic equipment for cooking but also with beddings. Its possible to rent a surfboar and wetsuit for a fair price directly with the company. The car was in perfect condition clean and ready. Very friendly staff!

Great. Really friendly staff, fun, easy experience from start to finish. The campervans are new and beautiful. Team were always at the end of the phone in case of any problems (we forgot how to open the back door and had to ask!) Really easy comms, very very happy and would recommend to everyone.

We rented a modern T6 model becourse of a longer trip to Lisbon. Everything was as expected. Maybe one thing was not.. we were picked up on airport Sunday morning 2hrs before schedule and their opening hours....it was really kind..thank you!

I have hired both Classic vans and Californias from Siesta campers and can only say good things about them. They are a very friendly and helpful family firm who cant do enough to help your holiday be the best possible. I have used other companies in Portugal who sometimes seem cheeper but by the time the bill is sorted its normally as much and the service is as good as none existent. Do yourself a favour and have a fabulous holiday in Portugal travelling where you wish in a Siesta Campers van. I believe it is now possible to pick up in Lisbon and Porto which is a great addition. Fully recommend

Brilliantly equipped, clean camper. Very professional service, and very fair - we had a few cosmetic scratches for which we would have been charged massively by another company, but Siesta were very kind and understanding.

The vans get 5 stars, the workers get 0, so split the difference. I did a couple of relocations for this company and their communication is terrible. The day before my relocation from Faro to Lisbon I get an email from Pedro which has the wrong date but correct time for pickup and offers to pick me up from the train station within business hours. I write back that my pickup is tomorrow at that time, not next week, but yes we will meet you at the train station tomorrow at noon. He replies back, Great, my colleague Pauline will call you soon. I never get a call from Pauline and by then the office is closed. At noon I am at the station waiting for pickup and there is no one. I call the office and Claire says, Oh we had you down for a rental at 2 (my rental was for 1pm) and your van will definitely not be ready at 1. Ill call you back. I receive no call back. At 1 (my documented pickup time) I call again and Claire says theres an issue with the van. I ask how long she expects it to take as Ive been waiting at the station for 1.5 hours at this point since Pedro agreed to pick me up from there. She says she hopes by 2pm but no vans are ever ready before 2 so it doesnt matter to her that Ive been waiting because thats not included in the time. She says not to call her, she will call me when its ready. Another hour and a half later (my waiting time outside the train station in the sun is 3 hours at this point) she calls me and says the van is on its way. I go around back to the back of the station and pick up the van from Pauline and perhaps Pedro? Still not sure who he is at this point. Claire also shows up later and is apparently the owner. The staff advise me not to take toll roads and instead take national roads, so when I inquired about the mileage allowance Claire rudely informed me that I would be charged extra miles according to the relocation agreement. Amazing how she wants to stick to the agreement when it benefits her but not when it says I could pick up the van and I didnt leave the lot until 2:45pm. I asked where and when precisely to drop off the van in Lisbon and they said the Lisbon office would call me. Of course they didnt call me, I had to call them. The vans are really new and nicely equipped, no complaints there. And the staff aside from the owner were really friendly but no one ever knew what was going on and no one contacted me when they said they would. I personally would not do another relocation or book from them again.

We hired a California T6 for five nights. Everything was excellent. Basic supplies for food preparation etc were available. Vasco in Porto was excellent to work with and very helpful. Thanks so much for an awesome adventure Siesta Campers!

Great communication all throughout our trip (thank you Nicolas!), we were also given a solid briefing about the camper van, the vehicle was completely new and on our way back Claire was very keen on hearing our feedback, my guess is that this company is only going to get better. Honestly the best car I ve ever rented, let alone camper van. We rented a modern one and it was in exceptional condition. The communication of this company was outstanding and they were availvle for question during the whole trip. They took the time to explain us everything at pick up, which was great, because it was our first time camping. It will definitely not be the last.

Be aware!!! This is the kind of experience that is going to change your life! When my wife first come up with the idea of renting a vintage van for our visit in algarve I was hesitating. I was from Canada and had no experience driving in Europe and all of sudden I have to drive a vintage van during precious vacation in unknown territory? I was nervous, what if it broke down? What if I had an accident? But after coming back from it, all I think of is I have to buy a westfalia! The experience was so great! The reservation process was nice and smooth and Claire was very helpful and attentive, she tried really hard to give us the van that we wanted. The pickup and drop off was really easy and smooth (a side flip up table was broken during our trip but they said it was going to happen and did not charge me anything). The van was in good condition and fun to drive on the country road in Algarve. It was not easy to maneuver given theres no power steering nor power brake nor anything like that, but it went anywhere we want it to, without much effort. Parking is easy to find too (we actually parked in an underground parking lot in Lagos thanks to the low profile of the van), filling the water tank can be done at any gas station. The living space was functional and comfortable. We cooked many meals on the seaside cliffs and enjoyed our sleeps under starry sky snuggling comfortably in the van. Back then, my wife was five months pregnant and my daughter is turning two years old. Traveling in a van actually gave us tons of flexibility and comfort since we could cook anywhere, and nap anytime. So I would highly recommend Siesta Campers for you vacation in Algarve
