They do not accept debit cards, only credit cards, and surprises come when you pick up the car, +€50 insurance outside of Portugal, +€50 for changing the driver's name. The personal treatment was fatal, they made us add a little more gasoline when delivering the car, and after returning from the gas station and giving them €20 more, they told us that the needle had not moved, we had to show our ticket, which was reviewed very carefully as if we wanted to scam them. A certain Jonas was the one who helped us, very bad treatment. We will not use Autorent again

We hired a car from Auto Rent for 4 weeks September 2021 and couldn't fault the service. Promotion transfers there and back from the airport. Car as described - clean and tidy. No issues with the car for the time we had it. Staff friendly and all paperwork easy to understand and emailed to us so we had a copy at all times. Would recommend and will use again

Caution! Hands off. You are lured with cheap offers, but then cheated when you return it. We picked up the gray vehicle in the dark and it had some scratches/previous damage. A lot of things were marked in a very confusing way in the minutes, unfortunately I wasn't that attentive. When we handed it in it was claimed that two scratches were ours. This was not the case. The price list was already ready and I was forced to pay €261 for the damage allegedly caused, otherwise my DEPOSIT would be kept. An alleged expert came along, an employee of Autorent, the two employees spoke in Russian, which I also spoke very well and it seemed to me like a set-up game, a system to extort money from customers who have to get to the plane. I had rented cars many times and never had such a bad experience made. We have now filed a complaint and are trying to get the defrauded amount back from the dealer. I can only advise against renting a car from this company!

My Car broke down in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night (it was my fault I put the wrong fuel in the car because of a misunderstanding (diesel is Gasolé and Petrol is Gasoliná), we we're way past Lisbon so I called the 24h customer service and the guy send a taxi and the car assistance, although auto rent is just an Algarve company. The taxi brought us to a near hotel were we slept one night for free and the car assistance brought the car back to Faro. So the next day we got a new car for the rest of our holidays. Unfortunately that type of repairs are not included in the insurance but when I brought the car back they just charged the repair for the first car and gave me my deposit back so we didn't had to pay the Hotel nor the Taxi. In another country or another rental company it would have cost thousands of euros just for cleaning the filter. So I'm very happy with Auto Rent. Shout-out to Eduardo!

We have been renting a car with this company for quite some years now. Always friendly employees and good rental cars. No complaints whatsoever. Top!

5 star company! Good Serbians normal prices!

Classic debit card scam on which they say they cannot hold the deposit. The result is a forced sale of insurance at a prohibitive price. We clearly see that it is a well-oiled system for them Reserved under the name Payet Julien (so that the owner does not respond that I have not been a customer of his)
