Super expérience! Rapport qualité/Prix imbattable. Après avoir longuement chercher une location de voiture, les avis nous ont guidés vers cette agence et franchement aucun regret! Le personnel est réactif et très accueillant. Moins cher que chez les concurrents internationaux et surtout pas de mauvaise surprise! Les tarifs sont clairs, rien à payer en plus, on ne vous oblige pas non plus à prendre des assurances que vous ne souhaitez pas. Je suis passé par Amoita car pour ma location après avoir vu de bons avis sur les forums. Et bien je les confirmes. L agence est sérieuse, sans chichi comme les agences internationales. Personnel vraiment sympathique et arrangeant. Prix très correct et aucune mauvaises surprises comme chez beaucoup d autres loueurs. Je recommande ++ et repasserai volontiers par eux pour un prochain séjour au Portugal

Nous avons choisi Amoita suite aux commentaires et nous ne sommes pas déçus 230 euros pour 6 jours. Une Nissan micra toute neuve seulement 13000km, nous avions réservé sur internet et pris lassurance à 18euros (twd= vitre serrure et pneus) nous navons pas payé de caution, David nous a très bien expliqué le fonctionnement de lagence et du code de la route au Portugal, le retour du véhicule cest bien passé et a été très rapide, je recommande !!!!

VORSICHT VOR DIESER FIRMA! Ein zu kleiner und alter Wagen wurde uns bereitgestellt, entgegen unserer Online Buchung. Da passten die Surfboards nicht rein oder drauf und so mussten wir passen. Da sie keinen Alternativwagen hatten, haben wir auf die mündliche Angabe vertraut, dass sie den bereits bezahlten Betrag zurück erstatten werden. Doch die 900 wurden nie zurückerstattet und gegenüber der Kreditkartenforma log AMOITA, wir seien nie erschienen, was dann mit ihren AGBs zusammenpasst. Das könnten wir alles beweisen vor Gericht, doch diese Firma weiss genau, dass es sich nicht lohnt für uns, sie einzuklagen. Richtig mies. Beachten Sie auch, dass positive Rezensionen alles FAKE sind, mit lustigen Fantasienamen!

Ärgerlich! Auf der Website werden zwei freie Wagen angezeigt, die wir beide buchen. Dann wird nur einer bestätigt, da der andere anderweitig vermietet worden sei. Beim Versuch den Bestätigten zu stornieren, um woanders zwei Wagen zu bekommen, wird auf 50 % Stornierungsgebühren verwiesen und bestanden. Abzocke anstatt fairem Umgang.

Waiting for two hours for our hire vehicle to be returned. Rubbish! Nobody here, no alternative method of getting to our apartment. If Id messed up a booking this bad Id be looking to redeem myself.

Adorables, rien à ajouter ! Nous sommes arrivés sans avoir réservé de voiture en avance.. ils nous ont informé qu ils n en avait plus de disponible. Cela aurait pu s arrêter là mais ils ont appelé des collègues et ont trouvé une voiture disponible dans notre budget et nous ont amené jusqu à l autre agence, avec le sourire et très sympa ! Très content de ma location de voiture chez Amoita, jai lu énormément davis négatifs sur les autres loueurs traditionnels, Amoita était un des rares à avoir de bonnes notes, jy ajoute la mienne aujourdhui. Il faut marcher quelques minutes en sortant de laéroport pour rejoindre lagence, nous avons fait un état des lieux de la voiture ensemble avant le départ. Un simple contrôle du niveau dessence au retour. Je passerai par cette compagnie lors dun prochain voyage au Portugal et la recommanderai à mes connaissances.

I recommend without hesitation. Rent a 208 Peugeot as a family for 1 week in February for the holidays. Perfect car, pleasant and fast service upon pick-up and return and more competitive prices than airport rental companies.

Ive used them twice now. Once in June 2019 and now in March 2022. Both time the staff was friendly and helpful. No unnecessary fuss. No looking for faults etc. Highly recommend them.

Très refroidis par les mauvais retours d expérience (qui confinent parfois à l arnaque organisée) au sujet des loueurs officiels implantés au sein même de laéroport de Faro, nous avons finalement retenu lagence Amoita pour ses relativement bons commentaires et parce quelle est à 5 minutes à pied de laéroport . Nous navons pas été déçus! Une Seat Ibiza neuve (500kms au compteur). Pas de coûts cachés. Cétait parfait. Continuez comme cela....

Fair prices and very pleasant experience throughout the whole process. Also on our way back to return the vehicle we just realized that we need the car for 1 extra day and everything was solved with 1 phone call and no penalty fees. Will definitely book again next time.

Location parfaite comme on aimerait en avoir tout le temps. Personnel sympathique, pas de prise de tête, on paye le prix que lon avait choisi au départ. Restitution facile. Le seul petit bémol cest que ce nest pas dans laéroport et quil faut marcher une dizaine de minutes pour y arriver. Comme il pleuvait, on a pris un taxi (5 euros) pour y aller. Donc, fortement recommandable.

5minute walk from the airport, but the walk is worthy. Best price in faro for good and clean car. Fair deal during take and return car. Whole process of take car takes 10minutes and return was done in 2 minutes. Whish there will all car hire agencies will be like Amoita

Nous avons eu du mal à trouver un loueur de voitures sans arnaque ni vice caché. Nous avons fait confiance au loueur Amointa dapres les avis positifs.Superbe experience au départ de Faro.La dame de lagence est venue nous apporter la voiture à la sortie de notre hotel ( super service pour nous) à Faro et nous lavons ramené à leur agence de Faro située à 5 mn à pied de laeroport.Un jeune homme nous à même raccompagné à laeroport gracieusement .Nous avons payé 328 euros pour 7 jours de location dune Fiat Panda (toute assurance incluse sans caution ) .Je precise que la dame parle français. Ils ont aussi une agence sur Lisbonne et Porto.Je conseille les yeux fermés. Merci à leur equipe et pas de mauvaise surprise.

Amoita is by far the best experience I had renting a car during my 15 years driving experience. I have rented cars in all corners of the world from Spain, Greece, France, Middle East, South America and I ve never found so friendly staff (Força Luís), fair prices , quality vehicles and excellent support through WhatsApp when I needed to buy more oil for the car. Excellent service and excellent staff they made my trip in Algarve exceptional. I will be back renting with them soon as I just fell in love with the region. Força!

Sie haben uns sehr lieb empfangen, alles gründlich erklärt und im Auto alles gezeigt. Sie haben uns empfohlen, die extra Versicherung abzuschließen, was wir gar nicht bereut haben, nachdem wir gesehen haben, wie einige durch die kleinen Gassen fahren. (Wir hat waren nur in Algarve unterwegs) Es hat auf uns schon beruhigt, dass wir nichts zahlen sollen; falls irgendwo ein Kratzer auftaucht :) ist zu empfehlen!

Je confirme tous les avis positifs sur cette agence, jai eu une Fiat 500 neuve (500km), il me rembourse les 20 du badge autoroute que je nai pas utilisé, ils sont très serviable et professionnel, aucun problème avec eux, un petit merci à Léa qui parle un peu français...

I have used Amoitas car hire services for 7 years now, several times a year, and have always been extremely happy with them. The cars are always new/nearly new, in great condition, spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly and courteous, and extremely helpful. Car hire prices are competitive and include everything. Highly recommend.

Super contente de ma location chez Amoita Car ! 1iere location pour moi et après avoir épluché tous les loueurs et leurs avis il sest avéré que Amoita ressortait comme le meilleur des loueurs. Le point de rdv pour la voiture se trouve assez facilement (parking P4) et lagence nest pas bien loin de laéroport (10/15min a pied). La voiture que nous avons eu en classe C était une Nissan Micra dernière génération. Nous navons pas eu à nettoyer la voiture, juste la rendre avec le carburant au même niveau quen partant de lagence. Tout a été très fluide, je recommande +++

A genuinely good experience. We were met at Faro airport by a representative who called us on exiting the terminal. We collected our car which was brand new from the P4 car park, where we were given clear and concise instructions. On returning the vehicle the rep was waiting for us. The process was seamless. Well done Amoita I would happily use your services again when visiting the Algarve.

We have just returned from Portugal and hired a car from Faro airport. We were very happy with the service. The price was great and I was able to include various extras (like excess waiver, toll road token, etc.) and it still worked out cheaper that the standard companies. We paid for collection from car park 4 - there was a general hire car office there and we had to simply wait outside that for the Amoita rep to arrive. The car was very good - no fuss pickup or dropoff. We had to rearrange our trip due to covid and Amoita were very helpful and straight forward to deal with. Very happy with Amoita.

Amoita delivered a nearly new car for us. They picked us up from and drove us back to the airport, all while being very helpful and polite. They didnt even make any trouble when I brought my car back with a couple of scratches (entirely not my fault). They took care of everything with the ensurance company. So be sure to get some kind of ensurance. The Portuguese (or the tourists in the area) are terrible drivers and have no respect for other peoples cars.

Jai loué pour la première fois chez Amoita à un bon prix, mais le véhicule était rayé autant du côté droit que du côté gauche, et avait un kilométrage au dessus de 50000km, en général je loue des véhicules entre 5000km et 25000km, jaurai bien voulu prendre un véhicule récent et sans dommages, sinon le personnel est très sympa et, est à votre écoute. Jai pu modifier mon contrat une semaine après ma location, et prendre loption assurance full (après vérification du véhicule ce qui est normal) Cest une très bonne agence, très sympa, avec un personnel à lécoute, mais le véhicule loué nétait pas top! Mais je nhésiterai pas à revenir si un véhicule plus récent et plus neuf métait présenté! A bientôt!

I can t recommend Amoita. In April, we rented the car in Lisbon and even though we had made a card payment during the online booking, we had to pay a second time at the airport, and the first payment was supposed to be refunded. Until now more than half a year has passed since April and Amoita didn t refund 328 euro. They asked us to provide details for the bank account, but we have not recovered cash.

We rented a car in April on Lisbon airport. We were charged twice and employee of Amoita told us, that we have to contact with company, and they will refund. We tried to do it many times, and they asked for account details. Unfortunately until now they didn t refund. It was around 330 euro. DON T RECOMMEND

5* service Easy booking online and even better reception at the airport. Being the pick up of the car at the airport or at the office (1 minute walking from the airport) the staff are perfectly reachable and nice. The contract was fast to fill in and the car was clean and as we requested. Will rent again with Amoita!

Ive used Amoita Car Rental for several trips to Portugal, including pick-up from the airport in Lisbon, along with agencies in the Faro/Algarve area. I will continue to use them and highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a rental agency that provides great customer service, a wide variety of vehicles, and affordable pricing. In the past, Ive booked online, over the phone, and in person. All three options were seamless with prompt service and their staff are very professional. Never ever in my history of writing reviews have I given 5 stars to a car hire company. I chose Amoita based on their very good Google reviews. They certainly werent the cheapest car hire company in Faro, Portugal but the reviews on all their competitors such as Hertz and Budget were all terrible. I have to say Amoita were amazing, the car was great, the service was great. Yes they were a little bit more money but it was worth every penny, or Euro. We chose to collect the car from the P4 parking area which was just a short walk from the main terminal. We will certainly be using this company again.

Vous pouvez y aller en toute confiance, pas de mauvaise surprise, le prix annoncé est le prix payé (avec une carte de crédit). Le personnel est accueillant et méticuleux. Je recommande.

Tout sest très très bien passé !! Equipe sympa, pas besoin de carte de crédit pour la caution, ma visa classique a suffit. Nous avons rendu la voiture à 6h30 en 1 mn. Lagence se trouve à 5/6 minutes des terminaux, facile à trouver après le rond point du parking P4.

Petite agence de location de voiture situé à proximité de laéroport. Pour sy rendre il faut longer le parking P4 et se diriger vers le rond point, traverser la route. Pas simple quand il fait chaud mais le service est bon.

Pas darnaque, vous payez le montant indiqué à la réservation sur Internet et on ne vous force pas à prendre une assurance en plus. Very disappointing experience with this company. They canceled our reservation without notice, whereas it had been confirmed. The company was closed when we arrived and we couldnt get any answer when we call them. Definitely not a serious company.

The worst car rental company Ive used in my time travelling 80 countries. I cannot stress how much you should avoid this company. They provided me an old unsafe non fitting baby seat and expected me to know how to install it with no instructions. Forced me to drive endangering my family. The staff are beyond unhelpful. The cars are old. Sandra who works at this company is typical Portuguese lazy non helpful and useless. It would make my day if someone who reads this changes their mind and spends their money elsewhere. Your welcome to whoever that is. Amoita and staff - youre a disgraceful company.

Après avoir vu tous les avis négatifs sur les loueurs de voiture à laéroport de Faro, je commençais à désespérer mais jai découvert les avis sur Amoita. Je confirme donc tout le bien qui a été dit sur cette société. La réservation sur le site a été facile. A larrivée, nous avons donc traversé le parking P4, puis pris la 2ème sortie au rond point pour arriver à Amoita. Avec un enfant en bas âge et 5 valises, et pourtant cetait très simple et rapide! Nous avons été reçus par Léo, qui parlait très bien français, et qui était très sympathique. Elle nous a donné tout un tas de renseignements très utiles. La voiture était prête ainsi que le siège auto. Elle nous a proposé dajouter un 2ème conducteur gratuitement. Le prix payé sur le site était exact, il ny a pas eu de mauvaise surprise. Javais choisi lassurance lors de ma réservation, je nai donc pas eu de caution à laisser. La prise du véhicule a été simple et rapide . Au retour, la remise du véhicule a été tout aussi facile et rapide. Nous recommandons fortement cette société, sans arnaque, et qui nous a permis de passer des bonnes vacances.

Je recommande le loueur Amoita à Faro sans hésitation. Prise du véhicule sur le parking P4 de l aéroport, retour au même endroit. La tolérance de 2h lors du retour est appréciable, cela peut éviter de payer une journée supplémentaire. Nous avons été aussi surclassé. Je recommande cette société si vous souhaitez louer une voiture dans la région. Elle se situe à 5 min à pied de laéroport. Pas de prise de tête, nous avons été très bien accueilli. Le contrôle du véhicule se fait avec le personnel. Ce dernier nhésite pas à vous montrer les impacts et rayures du véhicule et vous laisse le temps de prendre en photo et vidéo. Et au retour, le contrôle est rapide, ils ne cherchent pas la petite bête.

Bonjour, une très bonne expérience, Check in à Faro avec une très gentille dame parlant très bien le français. (Aucun problème avec ma carte de débit) et un retour à Lisbonne ou il ma suffit dappeler un numéro de téléphone. Et cest un français qui ma répondu et est venu me chercher dun parking (proche de laéroport) pour me déposer devant laéroport... Parfait. A recommander.

Première location de voiture, ayant vu les avis négatifs et les mauvais notes des concurrents dans la région, jai préféré réservé chez Amoita Car Hire qui présentait énormément davis positifs. La prise de contact est rapide et presque lensemble du personnel parle français. On ma proposé de chercher et rendre la voiture dans la ville où jétais logé à 15 minutes de Faro. Prise en main dune fiat punto à 30000 km (Groupe A - MCMV), propre et désinfectée. Aucun problème pour se donner rendez-vous avec Silvia. Jai opté pour lassurance SCDW, pas besoin de vérifier létat de la voiture avant et après la prise en main du véhicule. La voiture est a rendre avec le même niveau dessence. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Bon loueur, aucun problème majeur pour le check in si ce nest que ce nest pas facile de trouver le représentant amoita sur le parking. Aucun problème durant la location du véhicule et retour/check out facile sans mauvaise surprise. Le seul bémol cest que les pneus du véhicule étaient usés au point de craqueler ce qui nest pas rassurant vis à vis de la sécurité...sinon cest très bien. ( voir photos ci jointes des pneus ...un peu usés quand même...personnellement sur ma voiture je les change quand c usé comme ça )

Prise de possession du véhicule avec une charmante jeune femme, parlant très peu français, étant venu a notre rencontre à laéroport. Elle nous a imposé le système automatique de paiement des autoroutes (20 euros en plus de la location de 80 euros) Démarches, 1/4 h environ Nous avons rendu le véhicule avec plus dessence quil ny en avait à la prise. Nous avons fait attention à ne pas prendre lautoroute. La restitution sest très bien passé, assez brève. Comme prévu, la cotisation autoroute nous a été restitué (comme prévue) quelques semaines apres notre séjour Nous avons effectué 600 kms environ pour 80 + 40 dessence. Le tout sans stress. Établissement fiable. Je recommande

One of the best experiences with car hire companies I ever had! Amazing service, no hidden charges, no bs, you get what you pay for. We hired Nissan Micra, petrol, 46k km, manual. It had some scratches but was clean and serviced. It is a decent little car, easy to drive, easy to park, fuel cons was around 5.5 l/100km or 45 mpg. This is a trustworthy company. I would definitely use it again.

Excellente expérience chez ce loueur de voitures local. Très bon accueil même à 19h du soir sans avoir réservé. Une chance, il restait une seule voiture de prête pour nous ! La réservation a pris 20min. Le retour du véhicule a été encore plus rapide car il na même pas été vérifié...juste le temps de rendre les clefs Je conseille vivement cette agence qui permet déviter les grosses structures et les mauvaises surprises. Jy reviendrai sans hésitation pour de prochaines vacances mais en réservant cette fois-ci.

Agence au top sans soucis contrairement aux grandes enseignes dont les avis Google mont tout de suite calmé. Ici pas de surprise, on ne vous oblige à prendre aucune assurance( dautant que pour ceux qui ne le savent pas si vous avez une carte bancaire visa Premier les éventuels dégâts et franchises sur une voiture de location sont inclus dans votre assurance de carte bancaire) , il y a simplement le paiement de 20e dun badge de péage pré chargé qui vous est rembourser 10/15 jours après avoir rendu la voiture si vous navez pas emprunter lautoroute durant le voyage. Et les tarifs sont peux élevés pour 5 jour une panda avec climatisation nous avons payer 92 euro.... Cest moins cher que les deux vélos ou le scooter 125 que nous comptions louer sur la même période, sauf que transporter des valise en voiture cest quand même plus pratique Que ce soit à la prise en main ou à la remise du véhicule pas dobservation du véhicule à la loupe donc il ne vont pas vous facturer un 500e pour une éventuelle micro rayure même si pour ma part jai rendu le véhicule dans létat où je lai eu. 100% zum empfehlen. Check-in sehr schnell, auto sehr sauber ,wir haben ein klein Wagen gebucht(Opel corsa) war aber ein neue Modell mit Villen Extras. Check-out auch sehr schnell, personal war nett und die haben mit Geduld alle meine Fragen geantwortet. Zum empfehlen ist beim Buchung alle versicherungen an zu nehmen ,ist ein bisschen teuer (ohne die extra Versicherungen in Schadensfall werd aber echt teuer ),aber dafür kann man den Urlaub ohne weitere Gedanken erleben. Von mir 5 Sterne .

Before going to Faro, i checked the usual car rentals and was quite terrified seeing all the negative reviews. In the end, I decided to pay a bit more to have my peace of mind, and opted for Amoita and am very happy with my choice. The service and support were excellent, and there were no troubles whatsoever getting the car or returning it (both procedures took like 5 min). Will definitively choose the again when back in the region.

We rented a vehicle at the beginning of October. We were met at Car Park 4 and opted to walk to the office. We did have a lot of luggage (bags and golf clubs) but the kind representative helped carry the bags. Paperwork and car collection were quick and smooth as was the return. Great experience. We are planning to rent again with Amoita but we think we will opt for the Airport Service Fee - save the walk.

We hired a car with Amoita Car rentals in Faro recently, the SAT NAV did not work at all and was with old and non updated Maps. When we called up their emergency number they were extremely un helpful and did not want to appreciate our problem. We really tried to explain but hey blamed us for not knowing how to use SAT NAV, infact said that they can deliver another one that will be the same but will charge us for the delivery. Such apathy and such arrogance. Will never recommend AMOITA to anybody as we lost so much of our holiday time finding palces and landing in the wrong ones.

Une location dune semaine, qui sest très bien passé. Le véhicule était neuf. Pas de problème de caution ou de carte de crédit, la location de siège-bébé à un tarif raisonnable. Pas dattente, prise et dépose du véhicule en un temps record. Seul petit défaut, lagence de location est à lextérieur de laéroport, mais 5 minutes à pieds ça reste raisonnable et lors de notre arrivée Marta est venue nous chercher en voiture sachant que nous avions des enfants. Vous pouvez y aller en toute confiance.

I rented from Amoita and I have to say that the customer service I experienced from the beginning to the end was top notch. Everything was exactly as planned when I booked the rental. I was greeted at the airport with friendly staff that went above and beyond to help me get situated with 3 kids since I travelled without my spouse who was meeting me a week later. They helped guide me to my destination and remained in touch during my 3 week stay to assure I didnt have any issues or concerns. A very friendly firm with great tips on what to do in the Algarve area. I will definately rent from them everytime I visit. Thank you Amoita!

Jai loué une voiture à Faro pendant 2 semaines et tout était parfait. Voiture neuve, remise des clés rapide, le prix annoncé est celui que vous payez contrairement à dautres sociétés qui essaient systématiquement de vous vendre des assurances.

Fantastic service, they extended my reservation with no problem, price is as advertised rather than being stuck with hidden fees, and they even help you with the inspection. It seems weird to say honest car company but they live up to the title. Would totally rent from them again

Arrived to rent a car in the height of busy season with no reservation, based on the reviews we read online. Suprisingly, they had a car for us, at a reasonable price. Returned the car and asked to have a taxi called for us to get to the train station in Faro to continue our travels - to have Patrick (an employee) offer to drive us himself. Excellent service! I will be renting from Amoita again when we return to the Algarve, and reccomend you to do the same.

Everything ok

I was quite sceptical about booking with a local company but the previous reviews convinced me. Well, I can see why they get such good reviews. (And actually their response to a trumped up complaint won serious brownie points too!) Having a quiet day they actually tried to contact me to say they would collect us from the airport because we had a toddler with us. (My phone took forever to work so I totally failed to take them up on this) The office was just a short walk from the airport, the chap we met was absolutely lovely and professional and the collection process very smooth. He explained everything clearly (and fortunately for us, in perfect English) and laid out the return procedure very well. The car was as ordered and very clean, the child seat appropriate for our son. We havent finished our stay yet but I have been very impressed with the service so far, from the booking process onwards. Highly recommended.

N hésiter pas à louer chez eux, pas de soucis de franchises, daccessoires à louer en plus etc...Aucune arnaque, demander fillipe à Faro il parle Français, il nous a rembourser les 20 euros de location du boitier pour les péages puisque nous ne lavions pas utilisé, nous a conseillé de ne pas prendre dassurance complémentaire puisque nous avions réservé avec la carte visa premier, et nous a même ramené au terminal des départ le jour ou lon a rendu la voiture, à 4h00 du matin !!! Voyagé lesprit tranquille...

Hired a Category C car when staying in Olhão back in August & service was great. Car was a Fiat Punto, 4 door, in good condition as almost new, competitive price which included delivery & collection to our Olhao apartment. Communication from staff was terrific, they spoke good English & the deposit and motorway tariff thingy were credited back to my account in good time. Would highly recommend for those holidaying in the Algarve.

Excellent car rental company! For my first time in Faro, i havent been disappointed. I have to admit that I was a lit bit anxious to rent a car in a local company instead of renting one in an international company, but it was a perfect experience. I highly recommend Amoita which is for me the best car rental company of Faro.

We cant say enough good things about Amoita. This was my husband and Is very first car rental experience in Europe (were from Canada). We rented a car for 15 days to travel through Portugal. Upon our arrival, we were greeted at the airport and driven to the gas station to pick up our car. At first we were a bit concerned as this seemed unusual however after meeting Paulo we were put at ease. He explained everything thoroughly including the toll roads, which are very confusing. Our car was clean, comfortable but nothing too exciting. We selected from the midsize vehicle and got a Skoda station wagon, which is not a very powerful car but got us to our destinations safely and slowly! After two weeks we had to park our car for two days in Lisbon so we contacted Paulo and he was more than accommodating in helping us park in a safe place. We really appreciate the excellent customer service we received with Amoita and will recommend it to our friends and family.

It was our first time when we used car rent company Amoita , We arrived in the Faro (Portugal) airport very late, but the man from Amoita came to meet us in Faro airport meet and greet place. Then we walked to Amoita parking place, which is near the airport. He (shame, I forgot his name) filled all the documents and it was very quick. First time I had such a great experience: he marked all the scratches on the car, didn t insist to buy additional insurance or charge deposit and etc. We arrived after 10 pm. So we need to pay 20 euros more, which is fine, we knew about that. Although they charge 20 euros for toll roads and said that we will get back our money if we won t use toll roads. After one month I checked my bank account and saw that they didn t return 20 euros, I wrote to them and they said the mistake was made and money went to another account. They returned my money. The communication with this company was very smooth and I will strongly recommend this car renting company for others.

I usually rent cars for my trips from Faro/Lisbon when I return to Portugal and for the last 4 years I have only done so at Amoita. 5 star service. I trust them 200%.

This is the second time we have used Amoita in the Algarve, their customer service is excellent. My camera had been left in our hire car and they very kindly returned it to me in the UK within a few days. I would highly recommend using them. I will certainly use Amoita when we next return to Portugal.

Costumo recorrer aos serviços desta firma em Lisboa, mas por vezes também viajo para Faro, e posso deixar as viaturas em Lisboa e vice versa. Tal como em Lisboa o serviço e o atendimento são excelentes e a viaturas bastante conformes e em boas condições. O processo de entrega é ligeiramente diferente mas igualmente fácil. Em 5 minutos estou na estrada. Recomendo vivamente!

Good people, good rates, good service. Ive used Amoita for years and theyve been consistently good. My first rental was based on a recommendation and I couldnt be bothered to do a comparison; but their service was excellent so I used them again. Then a while back I thought I ought to check rates and was delighted to find that they are up there with the best on competitive rates. Ive found their service first class - Ive rarely had problems with the car but on the very few occasions Ive had a problem theyve immediately driven a replacement to my villa. Their support service is very good. Ive used the big firms in other locations and they seem pretty much the same - impersonal service (they have so many ordinary customers) and a tendency to try to charge extras - worst example is Avis. But Amoita are effectively local in Portugal so you get a more personal and helpful service. I get the impression they really do try to be better than the rest and Ive enjoyed dealing with them; I unhesitatingly recommend them to my friends who visit Portugal and theyve all been pleased. For a first time user it may seem odd meeting the rep in a coffee bar rather than in a separate office; but I hate the impersonal branded office firms and I love the simpler Amoita approach to the formalities. And I firmly like the more relaxed (and easy) collect and return arrangements. Every time I use them the collection is quick and straightforward and the cars immediately available. You might have a problem finding them the first time you use them if you turn up expecting big signs like Hertz, Avis or Sixt - contact Amoita before to get a note on where to meet. So Ive found good people (which makes such a difference for the tired traveller), good rates (I dont mind paying a bit more for better stuff but with Amoita I dont have to pay extra!) and good support (vital in case of need). If they were international Id use them everywhere.
