Warning to everyone especially English people, check the car and take lots of good pictures. If its wet make them dry it before signing for it. Put it in the sun so it shows the marks, They will make a claim if you dont take out their additional insurance. Its a big shame as i trust people at face value, we live and learn.

Easy and convenient. I will use them again as they did not charge an exorbitant fee for a one-way rental

Worst experience I ever had. Manager is completely disrespectful towards women and tries to charge alleged metal rim instead of actual plastic.

All smiles and happy to take your money at the start, but not bothered to help properly at the end. Unsympathetic, unprofessional and would definitely not use again. Take a look at some of the other 1* reviews and judge for yourself. Profit over people. Ive used Green Motion plenty of times, but never again. Avoid.

They got good cars at a reasonable price

Avoid This Rental Company! My wife and I rented a car from Green Motion at Lisbon Airport. Shortly after driving a few kilometers, the dashboard displayed a low tire pressure warning, indicating a potential leak. Concerned, we returned to the rental office to request a replacement vehicle. After a long wait, the staff dismissed the issue, claiming it was simply low tire pressure, and refused to provide a replacement. Unfortunately, their assessment was incorrect. The next day, the low tire pressure warning reappeared, causing significant disruptions: 1. We had to find gas stations with air pumps to refill the tire. 2. We spent valuable time searching for Green Motion locations along our route. 3. We had to coordinate with Greenville Motion office at the Lisbon Airport to arrange for a replacement vehicle. After much back-and-forth, Green Motion eventually agreed to let us exchange the car in Faro, near the Spanish border. However, when we arrived in Faro, the staff insisted on inspecting the original vehicle before allowing a replacement. They then tried to upsell us on more expensive car models, further delaying the process. Frustrated by the inefficiency, we explained that in the United States, car rental companies would immediately provide a replacement without unnecessary complications. Their dismissive response was, This is Europe, Portugal, not your United States. At this point, the situation became unbearable, leading to a heated argument. The staff escalated matters by threatening to call the police and detain us, which was both absurd and unacceptable. This entire ordeal caused significant delays and inconveniences, severely impacting our trip.

Super service picked up from. Faro airport as arranged dropped off car waiting very smooth would definitely recommend.

Hat alles super geklappt mit der Abholung. Modernes Auto zum guten Preis. Wer schon über einen Drittanbieter eine Versicherung hat, kann das Angebot vor Ort dankend ablehnen ;)

Also, ich kann die tlw. schlechten Bewertungen nicht bestätigen. Sowohl beim Abholen des Wagens am 20.11.24 als auch beim Return heute am 13.12. wurde ich sehr schnell, höflich und entgegenkommend bedient (Buchung über Check24). Meine Nachfragen zum Mautverfahren wurden explizit beantwortet und die Rechnung demzufolge sofort von mir entrichtet (3 Wochen = 9,25 ) Bei einem anderen Anbieter vor 2 Jahren wurde die Maut nicht kassiert mit dem Ergebnis, dass ich 3 Monate nach der Reise eine Zahlungsaufforderung über ca. 51 für eine tatsächliche Mautbenutzung von 2 x 0,50 (!!!) bekam. Das damalige Schreiben vom 23.12.2022 erreichte mich am 29.12. mit der Zahlungsfrist zum selben Termin. Ich zahlte zähneknirschend tatsächlich per 29.12., schrieb aber gleichzeitig einen Brief mit Erläuterung des Sachverhalts. 14 Tage später erhielt ich - trotz Zahlung - eine Mahnung mit einem Aufschlag von 10 . Daraufhin legte ich Einspruch ein, dem dann letztendlich stattgegeben wurde, aber die 51 waren futsch. Also, das wird bei diesem Anbieter sicher nicht passieren. Als ich jetzt am 2. Tag einen Platten hatte, wurde das Auto unverzüglich zur Werkstatt gebracht während ich per Taxi zur Green Motion Station gefahren wurde und ein (gleichwertiges) Kfz bekam, Zeitaufwand ca. 2 Std., das wäre in D sicher nicht schneller gegangen. Anstelle der Kaution habe ich 400 für den Reifen gezahlt, die mir aber lt. Check 24 gegen Vorlage der Rechnung zurück erstattet werden. Ich komme gern wieder hierher zurück und gebe 5 Sterne.

VORSICHT BETRUG! Unsere Kreditkarte wurde nicht angenommen, woraufhin wir eine Zusatzversicherung abschließen mussten, die relativ teuer war, obwohl wir schon eine Komplettversicherung abgeschlossen hatten. Somit waren wir doppelt versichert. Außerdem kamen unterschiedlichste Zusatzkosten auf uns zu z. B. eine Gebühr von 50 , da unser Flug früh ging und der Laden noch nicht offen hatte. Es wurde über Eurowings gebucht und die Autovermietung war an die Flugzeiten gekoppelt. Die Mitarbeiter waren dünnhäutig, aber nicht unfreundlich. schlechter Service, Abzocke aufgrund der Kreditkarte und hohe Zusatzkosten. NIE WIEDER bei dieser Autovermietung. Hätte ich nur die Bewertungen hier zu erst gelesen...

Depois de muitas negociações o veiculo apareceu Foi pedido meu titulo de residencia. O mesmo encontra-se vencido e por limitações de atendimento da agencia que renova os mesmos o governo portugues emitiu im decreto lei extendendo a validade de todos os titulos automaticamente por 1 ano Mesmo mostrando o decreto o aluguel foi negado e a reserva cancelada Detalhe, tenho residencia em outros 2 paises alem de Portugal mas eles foram irredutiveis Greem Motion - Never again

Wir haben im Sommer dort gemietet und war alles super.Uns wurde empfohlen eine Versicherung zusätzlich abzuschließen,aber ich hab dann gesagt, dass wir alles schon abgesichert haben und dann war gut.Mit dem Auto war auch alles bestens .Voll bekommen und auch voll abgegeben.Alle sehr freundlich,sowohl die Fahrer zum Flughafen oder auch vor Ort.

Great price! If you play by their rules - punctual, credit card on name of the driver, and know what insurances you booked to not double book by mistake, then the experience is pleasant. Good service, great car, everything as advertized.

To far from airport. Had to take taxi because had to wait 30 minutes for transfers to airport. And airport is also 15 minutes drive.

Ich hatte unsere Fahrzeuge gebucht ohne vorab die Bewertungen zu lesen. Als wir am Flughafen auf das Shuttle warteten, las ich die letzten Bewertungen und hatte hierdurch starke Bedenken. Ich muss jedoch sagen, dass sich keine hiervon bewahrheitet hat. Wir haben genau die Fahzeuge erhalten, welche wir gebucht hatten. Ja, eine extra Versicherung wurde uns angeboten, macht würde ich behaupten so gut wie jede Autovermietung, aber da über Check24 alles dabei war lehnten wir diese ab, was überhaupt kein Problem war. Die Fahrzeuge waren sauber, ordenlich und gepflegt. Der Grund für den Punkt abzug ist, dass als die Kaution auf meiner Kreditkarte (Barclays) geblockt werden sollte, das Gerät einen Fehler anzeigte, es jedoch bei mir im Online Banking als gebucht stand, somit hat mein restliches Limit nicht mehr ausgereicht um einen neuen Versuch durchzuführen (Katiossumme war sehr hoch). Glücklicherweise hatte ich noch eine andere Kreditkarte, bei der es dann funktioniert hat.

Wir haben im Oktober einen Wagen gemietet und waren sehr zufrieden. Uns wurde zu Beginn empfohlen eine zusätzliche Versicherung abzuschließen,aber wir hatten schon bei der Buchung eine Versicherung abgeschlossen. Mit dem Auto war auch alles bestens. Das gesamte Green Motions Team war sehr freundlich,sowohl die Fahrer zum Flughafen oder auch das Team vor Ort. Alles in allem ein super Preis Leistungsverhältnis und ein unkomplizierter und freundlicher Service. Gerne wieder!

ACHTUNG BETRUG! Wir hatten einen Mietwagen über CHECK24 gebucht und vorher bezahlt. Im Büro sollte nur noch die Kaution für den Mietwagen auf die Kreditkarte gebucht werden. Aber meine Kreditkarte wurde vom Gerät abgelehnt. Ich habe mit meiner Bank telefoniert. Sie haben mir gesagt, dass von ihrer Seite alles okay ist mit der Karte. Der Händler storniert die Zahlung. Die Kreditkarte meiner Freundin haben sie auch nicht genommen. Sie haben den Mietwagen nur herausgegeben, wenn wir die Zusatzversicherung abschließen. Wenn ich die Berichte von anderen Kunden lese, kann ich nur sagen: das ist Betrug mit System! Hände weg von diesem Laden!

Esperienza complessivamente soddisfacente. Con solo 87 euro extra puoi usufruire di unassicurazione che copre tutto: niente male. Il dispositivo per viaggiare in autostrada, fondamentale qui in Portogallo, è comodissimo e da pagare solo alla fine del noleggio. Ragazzi e ragazze del noleggio molto preparati con un buon livello di inglese che aiuta sempre a capire tutte le condizioni. Servizio di navetta dagli aeroporti molto funzionale e precisa. Noleggio auto consigliatissimo.

Should have red reviews before! Long waiting time from airport, 30min waiting, 20 min drive, 40min check in all together 1.5 hours. (more people working only one doing check in) Booked 9 persons Ford transit or similar, got a way bigger ford which was terrible to drive and park in our areas as explained to staff. No friendly service, additionally high creditcard deposit, its in the descriptions which should have been checked by us, but still excessive in comparison to other rental companies pushing you to get their high insurance. They dont accept all cards. No early drop off possible as they open at 0800.. ( first person didnt wanted to do check out at first as it was other company he said, he was wearing same clothes and did check out eventually) Would pay a few extra euros for a hassle free experience with other known companies in the area. Green motion has good prices and it might work, until it doesnt. ;) Would never go here again or advice others..

Abholung am Flughafen klappte reibungslos und zügig, kurzer Anruf und das Shuttle war schnell da. Schnelle, einfache Übergabe des Fahrzeuges, ohne zusätzlichen Quatsch. Erklärung aller Punkte, Upgrade auf ein größeres Fahrzeug, da wir das Fahrzeug gleichzeitig nach Lissabon überführt haben. Fahrzeug Übergabe erfolgte sorgfältig, mit Hinweisen auf Schäden und der Bitte eigene Fotos zu machen. Fahrzeug (Opel Mokka) war optisch in einem sauberen, gepflegten Zustand und technisch ohne Mängel.

Picking up is a real disaster. It takes 2 hours before the car is delivered, while there are only 3 customers. The car has a lot of damage (20 or more) upon delivery. You are seen as a criminal. We rent cars from different rental companies for about 10 weeks a year, but we have never experienced such bad service. Returning it was not much better, unfriendly counter staff. All praise for the driver of the shuttle bus. He is friendly and does his job well.

+ günstiger Preis, Auto technisch ok, Rückgabe ohne Probleme - Lange Wartezeit auf den Shuttlebus am Flughafen, bei Anruf ein AB in portugiesischer Sprache, Station etwas weit vom Flughafen entfernt, bei Ausleihe, 3 Personen am Schalter, 1 arbeitet. Öffnungszeiten (ab 8 Uhr) beachten, keine frühere Rückgabe möglich oder es fallen 75 Sondergebühr an. Fazit: gibt bessere Anbieter in Faro, die aber ggf. auch ein bißchen teurer sind.

Nicht zu empfehlen. Abzocke. Dame unkooperativ und unhöflich. Hat ihren Spaß daran Kunden zu verärgern und für paar Euros nochmal tanken zu schicken oder 45 zu verlangen und wir haben das Auto sogat mit weniger Tank erhalten. Zum glück war ein anderer Kollege anwesend, sonst hätten wir noch lange warten müssen bis der Shuttle uns gefahren hätte und unseren Flug verpasst (sie wollte das der Fahrer wartet bis sie mit anderem Kunden fertig wird, das hätte minimum eine halbe Stunde gedauert)

Ach, was für eine grandiose Darbietung übertriebener Höflichkeit von der Dame bei der Autovermietung! Ein Paradebeispiel für Motivation und Arbeitseifer wenn Arbeitseifer bedeutet, absolut keinen Bock zu haben. Vielleicht sollte jemand dort stehen, der seinen Job tatsächlich machen will? Aber nein, lassen wir die Fräulein am Steuer, die offenbar eine persönliche Vendetta gegen 2-3 Liter Sprit führt. Sie machte praktisch eine Turnübung mit ihrer Brille, um den einen Winkel zu finden, bei dem die Anzeige leer aussieht. Und dann, als Sahnehäubchen, dafür 45 Euro verlangen einfach genial! Was für ein erstklassiger Service. Dank dieser lächerlichen Posse hätten wir fast unseren Flug verpasst. Bravo, wirklich, dafür, so eine Kleinigkeit zu einem vollen Desaster zu machen.

Énormément déçue et arnaquée le jour de mon arrivée par le responsable qui parlait très bien Français et qui a exigé de moi de prendre lassurance supplémentaire équivalent à plus de 400e alors que javais payé ma location de voiture, une assurance supplémentaire par le biais de volotea avec qui javais pris mon vol . Jai essayé de refuser mais il a prétexté que ma cb se perimait dans moins de 2 mois et que chez eux cétait une condition.. Malgré mon insistance et mon manque de droit et une ignorance totale de la langue portugaise jai du abdiquer. Je suis allée à la police qui ma dit que certains loueurs de voitures en profitaient mais quils ne pouvaient rien pour moi. Luis Pereira est un personnage malhonnête et pour les 400e volés je ne lui souhaite pas du bonheur. La roue tourne..

El supuesto gerente, a mí parecer una persona con muchos complejos por la forma suya de actuar y dirigirse hacia los clientes de la empresa...(Si fuera un superior miraría muy mucho quien tengo contratado y gerentando una sucursal como la de Faro). Una persona arrogante e irrespetuosa la cual nos levantó la voz al llegar a la sede de la empresa, una hora más tarde de lo acordado. Ya que no fueron en nuestra busca alegando que a la hora indicada no estábamos en el aeropuerto, sitio donde citamos para la recogida del coche a las 10:00 y llegaron a las 11:00. Alegando el que cada 15 minutos pasaban por dicho sitio, y que nosotros no estábamos...(Mentira) Allí estuvimos una hora y nadie pasaba. Llamadas y llamadas a la compañía...ya que teníamos contratada una excursión en otro pueblo, nos estuvieron diciendo que en 10 minutos estabn, así toda la hora que esperamos. Al llegar le comentamos lo sucedido y en tono jocoso jactándose de nosotros en nuestra cara en vez de buscar soluciones al problema, se dedicó más a boicotear el alquiler del coche y hacer el retraso aún mayor ...se ve que no le sentó bien lo que le dijimos respecto al retraso de la empresa en la hora de nuestra recogida. Finalmente decidimos no seguir acabo con el alquiler por el trato recibido, le pido hacer una hoja de reclamaciones y con las mismas con una sonrisa en la cara y tono jocoso me dice que no va a llegar a ningún lado, ya que no había firmado el contrato de alquiler, simplemente una reserva. En resumen para siguientes clientes...por favor no alquileis un coche con esta empresa porque perderéis vuestro día y vuestras actividades de disfrute de vacaciones. Preferiblemente pagar algo más con empresas de mayor renombre que al final no ponen problemas y si soluciones. El resto de trabajadores muy amables, dicha sea la verdad. El gerente un acomplejado que le queda grande el puesto.

Diese Autovermietung ist ein absolut dreister Scam. Ausgewählte Kreditkarten werden vom Green Motion System blockiert, weshalb man gezwungen ist eine zusätzliche (in unserem Fall sogar zwecklose, da schon Vollkasko versichert durch check24) Versicherung abzuschließen, welche ca 200% des ursprünglichen Preises zusätzlich kostet. Dies scheint System zu haben, da dies nicht der erste Erfahrungsbericht hier zu sein scheint. Ich rate ausdrücklich davon ab hier ein Auto zu mieten. Durch Green Motion ist unser Urlaub sehr schlecht gestartet!

So far awful experience - no pick up location, calling them multiple times and waiting on the phone each time, and they can t even help all the say - they bus will be there, the bus was just there ridiculous experience to be honest Upd. They collect NOT from the blue stop where they send people, but from under the big canopy. Upd 2. Now to add to all this, the guy at the reception is rude to everyone. He should not be in the customer service at all Upd 3. The guy sorting the cars, both releasing the cars and on the return point is very nice and polite. A few bits of misunderstanding, a few charges I didnt quite expect but overall what I expected from car rental. The staff we always friendly and tried their best to explain everything. Note its a good 10mins from the airport so although theres a shuttle it adds to your travel time.

Notre expérience avec cette agence a été catastrophique. Le gérant est désagréable et arrogant, le seul but de cette personne est d arnaquer les clients. Refus de nous remettre le véhicule loué et payé avec bien sûr, refus de remboursement, ce qui fait que nous nous sommes retrouvés sans moyen de transport à 21h lors de notre arrivée pour nous rendre à notre logement de location et nous avons donc refait le soir même une nouvelle location avec une autre compagnie où cette ci avec les mêmes documents tout à été parfait. Passez votre chemin.

Friendly customer service and clear instructions - they speak great English. They did try to flog some insurance to me here which was very expensive - I d already booked insurance myself previously and would recommend you do the same. You do have to wait a little bit to get a transfer from the airport to the office and one back to the airport so factor that in. You do need a credit card to put down a 1650 euro deposit which was promptly given to me when I returned the car. Really great value and good service - just make sure you have your insurance/credit card at the ready! Please note it had to be a credit card and not a debit :) Seen some bad reviews on here but my experience was good!

These guys are sharks and should be avoided!!!!!! They were £100 cheaper for a 10 day rental and it became obvious after waiting for at the collection point for over an hour .not exactly the 10 minutes we were told by the lady with the Green Motion board. When collecting the car we had the hard sell of insurance which I understand is the job, we politely declined this which seemed to annoy him. We paid for the rental vehicle and was then asked to pay a deposit of 3150 which I was told wouldn t be charged to my credit card but a hold would be placed on the card in the event of any damage. That s fine however he then informed me he had accidentally taken a full payment isn t it your job to know how to take a holding payment? I m sure this wasn t the first time. He then tried to return the payment but he could do it for whatever reason. I d been at Green Motion for 25 minutes and spend over 4,000 and still no vehicle.. The funds were eventually returned, with the slight annoyance of forex rate changing and international fees charged meaning I have the additional pleasure of being some £150 out of pocket. I have lodged my request for a refund, however I suspect I have a better chance of pushing water up a hill.

MALHONNÊTETÉ SANS PAREILS NI ÉGAUX La personne n a pas voulu ouvrir notre contrat de réservation car il n acceptait pas notre pièce d identité valide, officielle et comportant une photo bien que les termes & conditions disent que cela est suffisant. Le supposé « manager » était exécrable et irrespectueux, ne faisant aucun compromis pour trouver une solution ou rembourser notre réservation. Il a insisté que notre prix de réservation était particulièrement bas et illogique, j en conclus donc qu il ne voulait juste pas nous louer de voiture. Morale: nos plans sont annulés et nous avons perdu l argent de la réservation. Nous aurions du lire et écouter les avis précédents.

Está a 20-25 del aeropuerto,hay que llamar para que recojan ,al llegar en mi caso me atendió el único que llena el papeleo ,llevé mi reserva paga incluyendo un seguro extra . A pesar de esto saco dos cuentas,variante a A $1200 eu y la B $145 incluyendo según el todo hasta el tag de los peajes de carretera. Se mostró indolente y arrogante este señor , obligado tome la variante B y pague $ 145mas que la reserva y adicional 150.00 euros de depósito para gasolina después de dos horas de trámite me entregó el carro,realmente nuevo . En la entrega del carro llegué temprano calculando que tienen una sola van que los transporta

I see a lot of people giving a rating of 1 for not having a credit card, when it is one of the mandatory documents to get the excess fee. I rented with Green Motion Faro and I also didnt have a credit card, I chose to have full insurance and not be charged for any damage. I was very well attended by the staff at the counter. Great car, great service. 5 star service!!!

Attention, ils ne prennent pas de carte débit pour le dépôt de garantie même si informatiquement ça passe ! Ne rêvez pas de pouvoir laisser un chèque. 2 options : Soit payer leur assurance tout compris à 250 /semaine en plus. Soit payer un dépôt de garantie à 1500 mais il faut que la carte ait bien le mot credit en clair et il faut que la carte soit strictement au nom du loueur. Sachant que la plupart de nos cartes bleues en France sont des cartes débitées, et donc on est obligé de prendre leur assurance. Javais déjà pris une assurance tout compris chez Booking lors de ma réservation, mais laccueil ma forcé à prendre leur assurance en double car cest leur règle. Le loueur se trouve à 10min de laéroport, une voiture viendra vous chercher. Plus jamais je prendrai ce loueur, je vous propose daller vers Sixte ou Europecar qui sont mille fois mieux.

Strongly advise against this rental company. We booked a car rental through Booking and ended up with the company. On arrival, they refused to take any of our Visa or Mastercard cards for the security deposit and offered as only alternative to pay a full insurance for the modest sum of 370. The actual car hire charge was 254. Their pick up location is far from the airport and we would not be refunded of our rental immediately either so were left with no choice than paying for this insurance to be able to get a car, which was of course not the one we had chosen but an equivalent.

Lagence Greenmotion est à 5mn en voiture de laéroport. Ils viennent vous chercher pour signer le contrat à lagence et vous ramènent à laéroport quand on rend la voiture. Contact très cordial, le personnel parle un peu/beaucoup français. Si vous prenez lassurance +++(obligatoiresi vous avez une carte de debit et non credit), les péages seront gratuits.

Staff 5*. Simpáticos e bastante informativos. Recomendo muito.

As a new company in faro, I was afraid about any extra charges, but Ive read all my papers, terms&condicions, and was very prepared when arrive at Green Motion. Staff were so nice!! Luis took very well care of us, and explained all the process! We could noticed that he is a very experienced rental agent! Will use this company again for sure!

Aluguer sem surpresas. Optámos pelo seguro completo no balcão, fica um bocadinho mais caro, mas tivémos umas férias tranquilas, sem preocupações com danos no carro. Staff super prestável e atencioso. Voltaremos sem dúvida!
