The vehicle we rented from international car / surprise had acceleration problems and all warning lights went on. I called Surprise Car (which shares an address an car park with Intetnational cars) the same day - no one answered. I emailed and asked for a return call - only the next morning a surprise rep answered and asked us to RETURN the car ourselves despite unsafe driving conditions. When dropping of the car the company complained about dog hair in the vehicle (we do have a small dog) and asked for EUR 90 to clean the car. We pointed out that it wasn’t the actual return date but their car was broken. They wouldn’t accept it so we drove to get the car vacuumed. When we returned they still claimed the car had dog hair. At this point it was clear that their sole goal was to make extra money. We left again (all warning lights on!h and had the car vaccumed a second time. their staff was Unfriendly, rude and unapologetic we spent half a day trying to get a clearly broken car exchanged. When I asked to write a complaint into a complaint book they threatened to call the police because I had taken photos. Avoid!!
Car rental was super easy. Everyone was super helpful, especially Sally while the return. I would rent there again.
All went smoothly, professional service. However we must have missed the shuttle bus so called the number on our booking confirmation and it was an automated phone line. But shuttle bus then arrived and all great. Would use this company again .

Worst service I ever experienced. Individual agreements have no impact. They trick you into buying some extra insurance. Offer you to pay for the road toll as an agreement to sell you the insurance. If you bring the car back none of them want to know something about this agreement. Event if you got it written down. Not willing to solve issues only yelling at you with nonsense arguments. If you thinking of renting your car here be aware to pay nearly the double price in the end.
attention - I will never rent again with this company - they are on my blacklist. this company is not in the business of renting cars but in the business of selling extra insurance or trying to claim as much damages ( and not repairing them ). I did get a car with more than 19 very small damages and a 2/3 tank full. of course they did find two very superficial additional damages when returning for which they charged more than 300 € while you know they will not repair them ( so cash in the pocket ) and of course I did put more fuel in he car ( as you are afraid they will double charge you if it is a little bit less fuel in the car) and this is also € in their pocket.
Everything was good on renting my car for 3 days. Orlando did a great job on answering all my questions and explaining the important parts of the car I rented. I recommnend.
Stay far far away. They charged me 120 euro for a missing passenger car mat that was never there. Then they refused to honour our insurance when we said it should be covered by the insurance that should cover all items. Total rip off. Stick with reputable car agency

Fijn bedrijf, bij inspectie van de auto wordt je uitgenodigd om mee te kijken en je krijgt in het huidig rapport waar al puntjes op staan (transparatie) . Zelfs de radio worst aangepast op jou taal Je krijgt uitleg van hoe het verkeer werkt in Portugal en geadviseerd om een kastje te nemen voor de tolwegen( aanrader). Bij retour een fijn ontvangst en een praatje.

Accueil à larrivée plutôt bon on nous dit de regarder le véhicule pour constater les éraflures qui était déjà noté sur leur papier nous avons quand même pris quelques photos..Au retour ce nest pas la même une dame nous prend en charge pour nous signaler des éraflures sur les enjoliveurs qui nétait pas noté forcément sur les photos que nous avions prise on ne voyait pas assez alors que nous avons accroché aucun trottoir et fait très attention elle na rien voulu savoir en prétendant que cela était de notre faute,en effet la location est pas cher mais faite très attention de bien prendre en photos les moindres détails de la voiture ainsi quune vidéo il font le gros de leur business en vous facturant des frais au retour, heureusement que nous avions réservé avec discovercar et pris lassurance tout compris il nous ont tout de suite rembourser.

ASSOLUTAMENTE MAI PIÚ! Al nostro arrivo non abbiamo fatto assicurazione di 200 euro proposta da International rent a car, ma abbiamo lasciato deposito su carta di credito. Al termine della vacanza laddetto a controllare i danni ha notato che la serratura del passeggero era stata rovinata cercando di scassinarla. Noi ignari abbiamo chiesto quanto dovevamo risarcire ed è stata imposta una cifra ASSURDAMENTE ALTA per una serratura (1132 euro) che abbiamo dovuto pagare se no mi tratteneva i soldi sulla carta. Noi arrabbiatissimi stiamo cercando di contattare carjet per chiedere rimborso almeno parziale, ma nn ci rispondono. CHIEDONO CIFRE INESISTENTI, SONO DEI TRUFFATORI. NON AFFIDATEVI A LORO.

Fuyez ! Arnaqueur ! Lors de la réception de la voiture il nous a balancé le papier sans faire le tour de la voiture en nous laissant nous même faire les photos dans la pénombre. Et lors du retour, il sest dirigé directement vers un micro éclat sur le rétroviseur pour nous réclamer 130 sans avoir vérifié le reste de la voiture !

Déjà très mécontente de ce loueur qui.nous a facturé 431 pour une micro rayure limite visible à loeil nu. Nous avons réglé nos passages dautoroute au retour du véhicule, et la un.mois après ils se permettent de débiter en supplément ma carte de 2 passages. Franchement ce loueur cest un tiroir caisse.malhonnete. A fuire

Pior sítio para alugarem o carro! No dia de entrega estava a chover torrencial, obrigaram nos a ficar a chuva a ver as anomalias do carro, para depois não apontarem e na entrega fazer cobrança dos estragos que dizem sermos nós a fazer, o que foi impossível, visto que o carro ficou parado 4 dias numa garagem privada, onde só saiu para fazer a viagem até ao local de entrega da viatura. Não se responsabilizam nem pelo próprio erro da equipa. Horrível serviço.
El coche limpieza de 10, como trato del personal de recepción a la hora de recoger el coche excelente, estoy encantado con todo el trámite. Por otro lado, Recomiendo a los usuarios hacer fotos de todo al coche a la hora de la recogida. Techo lateral, puertas, retrovisores. Parachoque trasero y delantero Hasta de las ruedas la mínima raya te la quieren cobrar a ti. Teniendo un seguro a todo riesgo contratado a la hora de la reserva. Te dicen que no es válido, pero si tienes la foto de todo y ven que eso ya estaba cuando recogiste el coche no hay problema. Me paso que una rueda tenía un rayon que no estaba apuntada en los partes anteriores como lo muestra la hoja del alquiler y me lo querían cobrar. Gracias que tenia la foto de esa rueda cuando recogí el coche. Y asunto arreglado Por eso les recomiendo tomén varias fotos de todo y en todos los ángulos.

Aluguei um bmw 320d ou topo de gama similar, cheguei ao local e disseram-me que as carrinhas tinham sido carregadas todas por um camião no dia anterior, ofereceram-me um citroen ds7 igualmente automático e a gasóleo, sem problema aceitei embora nao fosse o carro que tinha alugado. Depois de preencher toda a papelada e verificar o carro, o carro nao trabalha. Sem alternativas similares foi me oferecido um híbrido a gasolina de categoria inferior como única opção. Resumindo foi uma péssima experiência gastei 2 depósitos de gasolina para fazer 600km. Experiência a nao repetir

A fuir !! Très mauvaise expérience !! Comme déjà posté dans plusieurs avis très malhonnête facturé 158 un impact sur la portière d une Seat Ibiza qui totalisait déjà 13 impacts à la prise du véhicule. Comme par hasard aucunes photos de la portière en question. Un conseil prenez des photos en détail avant la réception du véhicule et au soleil et non pas sous le car-port à l ombre. De plus Aucuns efforts de compréhension , du gros foutage de gueule ! Vive la fin des vacances ! Bien dommage dans ce magnifique pays qui est le Portugal. Au final, passer par des loueurs qui tiennent la route .

Mauvaise expérience client. Malhonnête. Tout est mis en uvre pour que le client attende et que le véhicule soit donné après lheure du bureau car facturation de frais de remise après 20h. Jai donc payé 40euros pour avoir attendu 1h30, double peine. (mon avion avait atterri vers 19h). Comme tenu de la malhonnêteté , je ne recommande pas car jimagine quen cas de litige, cela doit être pareil.
Arnaqueurs ! A fuir ! Facturé 341.98 euros une trace infime qui était déjà présente à la prise du vehicule et que l operateur ne voulait pas notifier car trop petite pour être notée .c est à peine visible. Ils font la même chose a tous les touristes qui ont eu un prix de location extrêmement bas. A la remise du véhicule il vous demande les photos que vous avez et vous signale une micro rayure déjà existante mais non visible vos photos Fuyez à toute vitesse!

Renters beware! Don t ever rent with company! First we did not get the type of car we paid for. We proceed to accept the car they gave us. We paid for full coverage with them and they still wanted to charge us 75 euros for a missing mat that was never there to begin with. One of those things that you really never look for. We look for the obvious damage, scratches, windows etc.. lesson learned full coverage is never full coverage when you are not dealing with a trustworthy company! I will never rent with SurPrice again and I will let everyone know not to deal with this company!

TOURIST TRAP - AVOID. the agency does not accept standard, omnipresent debit cards and uses an obscure small print clause to justify that they only accept pure credit cards to hold a deposit (e.g American Express), unlike any other car hire firm. They then give the customer a way out by charging them hundreds of euros of useless insurance policies against accepting a debit card this is a disgrace. A disgusting extortion ploy which should be made illegal. A horrible experience in an otherwise lovely destination with great people.
The deposit of fuel was 5/8 so I had to return the car with this same amount of fuel. And this is certainly inconvenient. The rest was ok

Ich mietete schon mehrmals PKW s bei International Car. Bei der letzten Miete hatte ich einen leichten 1cm langen Kratzer am rechten Seitenspiegel. Dafür musste ich sage und schreibe 170 bezahlen! Das ist Plünderung. Ich werde leider künftig woanders mieten.

Die Vermietung ist nicht direkt am Flughafen. Das Shuttle vom Flughafen zur Vermietung konnten wir nicht finden. Die Vermietung selbst war problemlos.

We were charged 80 euro extra because we arrived in the evening and left in de eraly morning for a flight. Totaly absurd if youre a car rental at a airport.
Simple Process. Good collection process and drop off. Make sure you take photos of the car - all aspects to ensure that you can show damage was not caused by you (this is very much a focus of the return process)

Money skimming rental. We booked online with basic insurance. During the car handover we were told there is a deposit because we did not use their insurance. It was nearly 3000 , which I did not have limit for on my credit card. It was mentioned in the online booking in the fine print, which even the rental staff could not find in the contract. Only other option was to book insurance with them, which was extortionate (more than 4x the price of the car). The staff did not want to give us any other options, so we had to downgrade the car so the deposit was only 2000 . Also the staff was not helpful at all. The car was smelly and not very clean. Would not recommend.

The car was cheap, but when topped up with an insurance of 124, it wasn t that cheap any longer. Service was good though.

Nice and easy to deal. Should return deposit the next day. You can scan qr code in the shuttle bus to check in online which saves a lot of time. Very helpful staff, great shuttle driver. Definitely will use again.

Achtung! Wir haben gerade unser Auto abgegeben und man will uns einen Altschaden, angeblich ein leicht eingedrücktes Plastikteil ( weder verbogen noch eingerissen) als Neuschaden zu verkaufen! Absolute Frechheit! An dem Auto ist kein Kratzer! Man hat nachgefragt, ob wir Vollkasko versichert sind und dann plötzlich war der Schaden neu! Absolut unseriös!!! Das angebliche Abschleppen zur Werkstatt hat uns 10,- Euro gekostet. Meiner Meinung nach ein Vorwand, damit man nochmal die aktuellen Kreditkartendaten hat! Wenn man aber dringend zum Flughafen muss und der Shuttle schon wartet, hat man keine andere Wahl! Es ist schade, dass man sich am Ende des Urlaubs so über den Tisch gezogen fühlt...

Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis Personal war insgesamt sehr höflich! Haben ein sauberes, kleines feines Auto (Fiat Panda) bekommen! Für eine Woche war es spitze! Kleiner Minuspunkt: Die Abholung vom Flughafen zum Autoverleih könnte übersichtlicher gestaltet werden. Die Abholung vom Parkplatz 4 (P4) durch einen Shuttlebus haben wir selbst nur durch die Bewertungen herausgefunden. Zudem wird am Schalter keine American Express angenommen! Dennoch würde ich es weiterempfehlen!
Dieser Vermieter ist katastrophal. Wir hatten am zweiten Tag leider eine Panne und der Mietwagen ist liegen geblieben (Motorkontrollleuchte blinkte / Auto nahm kein Gas mehr an). Es hat 3 Std. gedauert bis wir über die Sevice-Nummer jemanden erreicht haben und weitere 2 Std. bis dann ein Schlepper kam. Dieser hat das Auto mitgenommen und ich stand mit meinem 6 Monate alten Baby irgendwo im nirgendwo. Es hat 1 weitere Std. gedauert bis dann ein Taxi kam, welches mich zur Mietwagenstation gebracht hat. Die Fahrt dorthin hat 50 Min. gedauert, vor Ort hat es 30 Min. gedauert bis ich einen neuen Mietwagen erhalten habe und dann wieder 50 Min. zurück. Insgesamt hat dies über 8 Stunden dauert. Nie wieder!!

Freundlicher Empfang und Service vor Ort. Gepflegtes Auto mit wenig Kilometern und ehrlicher Umgang mit den kleinen Schäden am Fahrzeug die gut dokumentiert waren. Kein zusätzlicher Versuch eines Verkaufs irgendwelcher zusätzlicher Versicherungen. Bei Fahrzeugabgabe ebenfalls alles sehr freundlich und dann schneller Shuttle zum Flughafen. Daher gerne wieder eine Buchung bei surprice beim nächsten Urlaub

Decent car they gave us and friendly people. Argued over how much fuel was in it even tho we filled it back to where it was supposed to be and tried to charge us our full deposit. If you are going to use them take pictures of bloody everything possible to avoid getting charged

O pessoal é todo ele muito atencioso e prestável. Desde o administrador, passando pela inexcedível Sra da área financeira que esteve sempre disponível para me prestar esclarecimentos e apoio sempre que precisei. Por tudo isto, só posso recomendar a International Car / SurPrice Car. (Este post já deveria ter sido publicado há muito tempo e por uma questão ideológica do Google tive que substituir o nome das pessoas)

Havent been to Faro within the last 30 years but had a charge for £32 from them on my credit card on the 12th October 2020 that I think might have been related to a truly horrendous car hire in August from Porto Airport with Sureprice car rentals where I was monumentally fleeced for minor car scratches. Visa wont let me open a dispute because I havent contacted the company but really, as I wasnt in Faro, its not even easy to find them. And ghost transactions continuing months later are not something I want. Have just realised this might have been motorway toll charges so probably fair enough. Though the original car hire was horrendous so will leave this review online.
Ich kann den Beschwerden der anderen Kunden nicht folgen. Ja, die Autovermietung hat eine Gebühr von 35 Euro für die Anmietung oder Rückgabe außerhalb der normalen Öffnungszeiten. Aber wer bei Ryanair am Gate mit zu großem Handgepäck erwischt wird, zahlt sogar 50 Euro. Man muss bei Billiganbietern halt die Regeln vorher lesen. Insbesondere wichtig, dass man eine Kreditkarte mit ausreichend Deckung dabei hat, auf die die Kaution gebucht werden kann. Sonst muss man die teure Vollkasko kaufen. Und man muss sich entscheiden, ob man das Mautgerät zusätzlich mietet, sonst kann man nicht die Autobahn benutzen. Das gilt aber für alle anderen Autovermieter auch. Die Abwicklung meiner Mietwagenbuchung war absolut problemlos. Rückgabe genau um 08:00 Uhr, die Prüfung des Fahrzeugs dauerte bis 08:03 Uhr. Shuttle zum Flughafen fuhr um 08:08 Uhr ab, 08:15 Uhr war ich im Terminal.
Brutta esperienza !!! A distanza di 10 giorni dalla consegna dellauto mi sono stati prelevati uleriori 54,05 dalla carta di credito senza alcuna spiegazione. Il controllo alla consegna è risultato buono. Mai più mi serviro dellautonoleggio SURPRICE e consiglio altri a fare altrettanto. Sembrano prezzi buoni ma alla fine spendi di più di altri.
Femme à laccueil pas du tout agréable
Une bande darnaqueur ! La femme est désagréable! Elle nous dit à notre arrivé que la voiture doit être rendu à 8h00 pile si on dépasse elle nous ferai payé un surplus ! On se pointe le jour de notre départ à 7h55 elle nous dit quelle nous fera payer car on est arrivé trop tôt ! La blague jai jamais entendu quelque chose daussi absurde ! Sans oublié tous ce quon a du payer à côté les routes payante (bon on était au courant) . Le siège auto du petit qui coûte un bras 70 euros ! Je ne le recommande pas du tous et si je retourne au Portugal un jour elle ne me vera pas la folle !
Femme à laccueil complètement désagréable. ATTENTION ARNAQUE. Ils font payer 20 le badge télépéage. Le pire, ils fond discrètement une emprunte de votre carte bleue et copie le code à 3 chiffre (crypto) de derrière. Et ils font un retrait non expliqué !!!!! Hi, they aren t as bad as they say but, the shuttle service is excellent, beware of the fact that buying your own car insurance will make you liable of a deposit of 1800 euro and if you don t want that you have to buy theirs full coverage for 20 euro/day and deposit 200 euro, other than that car was excellent and all that, the lady upfront was pretty normal for portugués people so expect to ask them very nicely for service...lol
Bonjour, Aprés avoir réservé un voiture sur le site de type SUV sur internet, je me suis fait chargé plus de 200 euros sur place pour des frais d assurance car je n avais pas de carte de crédit mais uniquement de débit pour la caution. Avec stupeur, je viens de découvrir 3 mois apres , un retrait d un montant de 42 vient de m etre facturé. J attend des explications sous peine de poursuites judiciares. Betrüger Vorsicht! Dont Book here Ich rate allen Personen zur Vorsicht bei dieser Firma. Fahrzeug wurde günstig über Check 24 gemietet. Soweit ok. Fahrzeug abgeholt. Lange Wartezeit.. ok nehme ich in Kauf. Dann am Schalter wird trotz Versicherung versucht eine Versicherung aufzuschwatzen. Dann bei Abgabe Fahrzeug wird als in Ordnung beachtet und dann wird dem Kunden Wochen später Geld von der Kreditkarte gebucht ohne Angabe von Gründen oder einer Rechnung. Ich habe ihnen geschrieben, 25 für das Aussaugen von Sand im Fußraum des Fahrzeuges mir in Rechnung zu stellen ist eine Frechheit. Mal außer acht gelassen, dass ich das Fahrzeug noch durch die Waschanlage gefahren habe und das Fahrzeug noch einen Tag früher zurück gebracht habe und das Geld für den gewonnen Tag auch noch als Gewinn verbucht haben. Sorry Frechheit und unprofessionell. Bei all meinen 6 Algarve Trips waren Sie der bisherige schlechteste Anbieter.
