De route erheen werd duidelijk aangegeven. Het gesprek met het inleveren viel 100% mee. Ik had me het erger voorgesteld, maar dat lag dan ook aan mijzelf.

Put rental car into sat nav and it took us to this carpark. But we didnt realise it was for the car rental pick up, not drop off. So we immediately left (under 2 min). We were not allowed to leave until we paid 4.50. Even after we talked to someone they said we had to pay. Everything about this airport is to make money of tourists. Also check your change when you leave the gas station if you pay in cash.

Hatte ein Auto gebucht und meinen Freund mit 29 als Fahrer angegeben. Da ich aber unter 25 bin und das ganze gebucht hatte, wollten sie mir das Auto jetzt nicht geben. Eine Umbuchung auf meinen Freund war sowohl vor Ort als auch über booking nicht möglich weshalb wir auf der hälfte der Kosten wegen der Stornierung des Autos sitzen geblieben sind. Unfreundliche Leute da, die nur sagen sie können nichts machen und wollten 2000 Euro auf der Kreditkarte blocken für das Auto. Was ein Wucher.

Alles gut gewesen. Ein neutrales Erlebnis. Uns hat das nicht betroffen aber wir haben den Tipp bekommen, darauf zu achten, sich keine zusätzlichen Versicherungen oder kostenpflichtige Services verkaufen zu lassen. Die Abwicklungen sowohl beim abholen des Autos als auch beim abgeben, ging reibungslos und schnell. Es ist durchaus eine Anlaufstelle Die man erneut wählen kann, wenn es um Mietwagen am Flughafen geht. In unserem Fall haben wir vorab über das Internet bereits die Buchung abgeschlossen, wie es abgelaufen wäre und besonders was es gekostet hätte spontan dort zu buchen, kann ich nicht sagen und in unserem Fall waren wir mit Preisleistung definitiv zufrieden.

After some misconception for our part, the booking was arranged smoothly.

Our experience was good. The information that was given was clear. Great car! Its a pity that we (at the end of our rental) had to leave the key at the reception of our hotel, because there was nobody of the rental firm at the agreed time. Therefore, no joined control of the car was possible. 24h later when we checked out from our hotel, we still saw our car standing at the parking lot.

Excellent location and experience with picking up my car rental

I rent a van in the evening, after 20 minutes the van shows a fault light. They make us wait until they open at 8.30 to give us assistance. I am speechless

Ok so, I m seeing a lot of 1 star reviews about this company which are actually unrelated to YOR car rental. Pros: easy to find - quite literally opposite the exit of faro airport, walk across the crossing and to the left abit. Little small hub with a big blue P4 on it. If your anything like me, you ll feel stupid once you ve found it. Really easy. The gentleman that assisted me was amazing, polite and informative. - REMEMBER, you are in THEIR country. Be polite and respectful. Especially if you want the same back. Deposit - yes the amount they ask for is alot however, if you take out the added insurance which isn t actually a lot you ll pay a-lot less deposit. Again, you are in their country - better to be safe than sorry. Your deposit is also protected. I don t think that s unreasonable. If anything, they have you covered in any eventuality. I made contact with YOR via email prior to booking. This gave me reassurance and also any questions I had were answered very quickly. The car was clean, full tanked, and easy to pick up and drop off. Definitely recommend and would use again. Cons - none. :)

JE REPETE ARNAQUE Réservation sur internet, décidant de récupérer ma voiture le soir, me dit que ma visa premier ne peu pas servir de garantie, me propose de payer 30 euro de plus par jour soit pour 11 jours 330euro!!, ne céder pas a ses chantages ce nest pas légal , prenez un taxi, uber autre loueur plus respectable des lois.

ARNAQUE et VOLEUR !!!! Dommage que 0 étoile n existe pas. A fuir !!! Prétexte d une carte visa débit au lieu de crédit pour facturer 30 par jours pour toute la durée de la location Soit plus de 300 en plus que prévu. Pourtant nous avons beaucoup voyager et jamais aucun problème de carte!!! Monsieur le propriétaire de Million car hide, vous êtes un voleur. Heureusement que nous avions payer que 30 et que le reste était à payer sur place. Réserver avec discovery cars. Attention !!!!

We always use YorCar for our regular trips to the Algarve. They are very well priced, the cars are always clean and reliable and when we have had any questions regarding our booking before pick up they are always easy to communicate with and quick to reply. Also deposits for the cars are always refunded on time with no chasing. The pick up desk is easy to find and a very short walk from the airport terminal. We highly recommend YorCar if you want a well priced, reliable hire car in The Algarve.

Car rental without a hassle! The car was clean and in good overall condition. Service provided by both Anna and Jose was very good. Very customer oriented. The baby seat provided was of low quality, but it did the job. I recommend YorCar!

Great car this year.

Competitively priced car hire from desk in kiosk in Parking area 4 on the airport complex: it is 100m walk from the exit door of the terminal. Other companies whisk you off the airport in shuttle busses to collect your car only to return to the airport to collect your family & luggage after pick up. Booked online prior to departing UK. Make sure youve got 1250 euros space on your credit card on arrival or youll have no alternative but to take out the top insurance policy which reduces your deposit to 250 but costs (an unexpected 250: non refundable) making the total costs nearer 600 euros cheapest. Read the small print. Overall, car (I booked a VW Up and got a Fiat Panda?) was clean on pick up, & full of fuel. Take time and dont be in a rush to leave on pick up to ensure every scratch dent and ding on the car appears on their copy of the sheet and PSA tip: take mobile photos of them all. Theyre quite accommodating to add missed damage at pick up, but if you both miss anything: youre in for losing your deposit after returning the car. The car has a toll transponder behind the rear view mirror. This allows you to drive through the lane marked V at the motorway toll booths throughout Portugal. They charged me a 20 Euros deposit on picking up the car. This would nearly cover going to resort in Carvoiero and back ,give or take a few euros, only. We went to Lisbon in the car and to CVO on the toll roads and accrued 60 Euros in tolls so had to clear this on returning the car. Its fair enough, but maybe another hidden cost to consider adding to your whole holiday finances? Overall: would recommend Yor Car Rental: the additional sights seen having the car outweigh the stresses of the unknown & the complexities of car hire in the Algarve.

Mitarbeiter war bei Übernahme etwas schroff. Allerdings habe ich da bei dem Andrang und den wirklich teilweise dämlichen Fragen der Leute auch Verständnis für. Abwicklung bei der Abholung ging sehr schnell. Gebühr für Transponder und Maut mit 20 etwas hoch aber das weiß man ja vorher. Auch die Gebühr von 30 für Late/Early Dropoff oder Pickup finde ich etwas zu hoch, da in der Regel mehrere Fahrzeuge abgefertigt werden wenn die Flieger gehen. Zudem könnte man diese Gebühr eher auf die Macht beschränken. Trotz der Gebühren war Yor Car für meinen Aufenthalt der günstigste Anbieter und das sogar mit Allinklusive Versicherung ohne Selbstbeteiligung. Bei der Angabe wurde vom Mitrbeiter lediglich die Tankanzeige kontrolliert. Kein Kommentar zu Sand im Auto, Vogelkacke oder sonstigen Schäden am Auto. Abgabe ging demnach noch schneller als die Übernhame.

I received very good friendly service from YorCar. Although Id requested a Seat Ibiza on my original booking the Peugeot C3 I was given was absolutely fine and in perfect condition. The pickup process was very straightforward although I was charged an additional 30 euros surcharge because we collected the car after 8pm as our flight was delayed. I was already aware of the possiblity of this charge and it was clearly explained to me when I paid. We had no issues driving the car around the Algarve although we did pick up some bumper damage which meant when we dropped the car back we had to pay a damage charge of 407 euros. Luckingly, Id purchased a car excess insurance policy in the UK and they have refunded this charge. When I submitted a claim to the insurance company they did ask for a damage invoice which wasnt supplied at drop off but YorCar were very helpful and quickly supplied this via email. Overall, Id have no problems recommending this car hire company.

Returning customers. Their representatives are exceptional. Very professional, warm smile and always go out of there way to accommodate once needs. Upfront and no nasty surprises. I suggest always take all the insurance available. Smooth and easy transaction. You pay what you get. Simple and easy. Honesty last for ever. Thank you very very very much. YorCar is for me the best Car Rental for the Algarve. We come more times a year in the Algarve, rent a car for periode of one or two weeks and are for more than 15 years regular customer with YorCar. Never any problem and very nice and friendly.

The rental is a kiosk in the car park and compared to large rental companies formality is simpler and quicker, just a few minutes and youre off on the road. Have rented from Yor for number of years and renting again next month. Nice cars and good service so keep coming back as a customer.

Ok, so if you are looking for a car rent in Algarve - this is the one. Extremely nice and helpful people. Short walking distance from the terminal. I got a brand new Seat Ibiza with 1.0 TSI engine. Very reliable and cost efficient car with plenty of space. Weve been not using highways as adviced. No additional costs. No problems with picking up nor leaving the car. I will use this car rental next time for sure and I strongly recommend to do the same to you. Regards, satisfied customer.

Took out car hire for a few days in Portugal, when we arrived they marked on the sheet where scratches and marks were on the car. We noticed an additional mark and we re told by the man at the time that it was only cosmetic and they don t worry about it, it was fine. When we brought the car back as this mark wasn t outlined on the sheet they tried to say we had damaged the car. I had explained that his colleague had said it was fine as it was cosmetic, but he said that it s not possible as it would have been marked on the sheet. Luckily enough we had taken photos of the car prior to driving away but definitely be careful if hiring a car. Reply to owner: I can confirm it was your company Yor car hire the booking was under Mr.M Coyne. The review is valid and we didn t appreciate the way your staff member spoke to us and that is why I wrote the review and gave a one star rating.

Just returned from faro yesterday 2 weeks car hire with best deal. They were excellent. Speedy transfer in shuttle bus on arrival and return. Their cars were immaculate to see whilst I was waiting for my husband to collect our VW Up. That was a lovely clean economical car . Very impressed.

Fuyez! Ma Visa Premier ne mentionnait pas « credit », ils m ont obligé a souscrire une assurance à 30 par jour soit plus que le prix de la location pour 14j. Je leur ai proposé qu ils prelevent le montant total de la franchise pour me le rembourser à la restitution. Intransigeant. Visiblement il faut être lusuphone pour ne pas rencontrer de problème. Jamais eu ce genre de mésaventure ailleurs. Je pensais faire des économies, j ai payé 891 pour une voiture en piètre état pour un véhicule de 104000km (jamais vu ca non plus en location). J ai passé ma Visa premier en débit différé depuis pour que ce soit écrit credit dessus.

Sixt were reasonable to deal with. Easy to find the car rental area. Out of arrivals turn right and under the tunnel. Prices were expensive as usual but school holidays you can be expected. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Good value for the money.

Very nice car rental. There was no problem to rent a car, no hidden fees, friendly personal and big atvantage is that you can use debit card and get full insurance which covers all liabilities, as it is hard to find another company, which offers this. Will use theire service again and recommend for others.

I was organising a trip for 11 guys and needed to arrange transport from the airport to our villa in Olhos de Água. We used Ubers for all other transport (back and forth to Albufeira) so we all could enjoy a drink every now and then (some more than others ). Obviously I wanted something cheap, but still wanted a trustworthy company. I had never heard of YOR Car Hire before, but all the positive comments (mainly about João) persuaded me to rent 3 cars with YOR and boy it did not disappoint us at all. All cars looked more than decent. In and outside. Clean and no damage. The rules were clear and João really is as nice as they all mention in the comments. He advised us regarding the roads that had toll and the ones that did not, which we in the end totally messed up ourselves, but that was all us . I will definitely use their service again if we ever travel here again. Great company and a great guy! Thank you! Frank

We have used YorCar for over a decade and go back to them every single year. Their prices are reasonable compared to many others; the office is easy to find and just a few minutes from arrivals. We have always experienced happy, friendly and quick service enabling us to get the car and go and start our holiday. We wouldn t use anyone else.

Car hire people were fantastic. Stayed past closing to give us the car as our flight was delayed. Car hire is on airport and very easy to pick up and return the car. We felt they were honest and straightforward and would not be ripping us off with fake claims of damage to the car. The person on the desk was great he could not have been more helpful, took us to the car and showed us where all the controls for light etc were.

Unfassbar unfreundlicher Service. Auf keinen Fall würde ich dort wieder ein Auto mieten. Bei der Abholung des Wagens mussten wir 40 Minuten warten, weil der Mitarbeiter nicht auffindbar war und bei der Abgabe wurden wir stehen gelassen und mussten dem Mitarbeiter hinterher laufen, um zu erfahren, ob den nun alles mit der Abgabe ok war. Wenn man bedenkt, dass dies der erste und letzte Kontakt im Urlaub sind, dann dann kann ich sehr gern darauf verzichten.

Grosse arnaque. Véhicule loué en ligne. Nous avions une carte visa premier qui na pas été acceptée sauf si nous prenions une assurance complémentaire facturée 20 e par jour. On a souhaité prendre le télépéage, il fallait leur verser 200 sur le compte qui nous serait restitué après déduction des péages consommés : on a consommé pour moins de 10 mais nous navons jamais été remboursé et refuse de le faire. We have been ripped off by many car hire companies. Over the last 15 years we have used many different companies but we have gone back to one we have used many times before its now called (zest) it used to be called (Econamy) no problems the car was fairly new and we were charged a fair rate £83 for 10 days.

Having already booked insurance via Jet2 they were trying to insist on selling us theirs as Well, they also did not provide the specific cars we ordered and gave us a Yaris for 5 people, other customers just walked out and went elsewhere ours was Avid/ Budget pretty poor, take photos before and after to prove you did no damage.

Definitely pre book before you get to the airport...gone up from £30 3 days online to £200 for 3 days booking in terminal

Goldcar car hire at Faro airport are very friendly, helpful and I would definitely recommend them. The access to the car hire area from the terminal is very easy too.

Really bad service they were swearing at us and weren t answering our questions. Don t recommend may seem cheap but it s not then they talk about you and swear at you. The service is really slow and they made us pay the after hours which is past 8pm when we were before 8pm so don t recommend wouldn t go there again and waste my money.For the million car hires.

Car hire was fine, however, be careful with scratches and marks already on the car. Make sure you take your own photos as soon as possible to avoid them trying to charge you. We picked up the car in the dark, but the next morning we took photos of the cars and makes so theyre date stamped asap as they tried to say some scratches on the bumper was our fault when it wasnt. Also, make sure you take the car back to the correct carpark otherwise theyll make you pay.

Gold car we used again for the second time and they where great again just go for the full insurance with them its a little more money but piece of mind when you drop off the car no checks give them the car key and off you go there is a ticket system when you get to there office so make sure you get one when queuing

We rented a car online from Goldcar only to be fleeced by them for a nearly 4000 deposit or pay them an additional 189. We ended paying the extra because we didnt trust them with a deposit that size.

Hired from Sixt and was pleased with the speedy process. I had the documents explained to me in English and all went well with the car, the deposit and its return. I I always check and agree the state of the car at the time of collection and most hire companies are happy to do this.

Car hire took 1 and half hours to complete. So much up selling. Then we had to queue for half an hour to drop the car off

Voiture réservée en ligne pour location 1 semaine. 68e payé par CB e ligne. Jusque là tout va bien... mais une fois arrivés sur place pour récupérer la voiture, on nous demande notre CB (pour la caution). Notre CB Visa Premier a été refusée ! En effet ils ne veulent que des cartes de credit et non pas débit. Nimporte quoi !!! La CB 1er offrant un plafond assez élevé pour ce genre de paiement/caution et en plus nous couvrant déjà pour la loc de voiture grâce au réseau Visa ! Des voleurs !!! Ils obligent donc à prendre leur assurance facturée 16 par jour soit au total plus cher que la location de la voiture elle même... pffff ! En clair cette histoire de CB de crédit (qui nest autre quune carte rattachée à une réserve dargent/crédit ) est une excuse pour obliger un max les gens à prendre leur assurance sinon pas de voiture !! Alors faites bien attention à ce que la mentio. débit ne soit pas indiquée sur votre CB.... De plus nous avions loué un siège auto pour notre fille, que lon a été obligé de faire changer ! Il était dans un tel état !!! Énorme trou dans la housse de brûlé, des taches partout, et le summum les sangles d attache le plastique était pourri avec des taches de moisissure. Bref HONTEUX ! de quoi commencer ses vacances bien énervés ....

Really good service, even when arriving late at night. Friendly staff, short walking distance from arrivals and easy access to major roads.

Estafadores, piden un depósito desproporcionado, solo se puede pagar con tarjeta de crédito, NO Amex. Todo esto en su página al momento de la reserva no está explicado. Servicio de atención al cliente escaso, no prestan ayuda, no tienen información, etc. Todo vago. Hasta en la P4 de Faro, donde se supone que hay que recoger el coche, no saben de la existencia de esta compañía.

The staff are nice and doing the best they can under the circumstances but it took 40 minutes to pick up my car on arrival. Waiting around for 30 minutes for someone to check the car when returning it. Service is slow so allow yourself extra time.

Nice airport bit of long ques for customs but effective

Its not as easy as other European airports. When we arrived all the car hire companies reception closed. You need to go outside the airport building to find reception desk moreover A member of staff tried hard to sell additional car insurance which felt unpleasant. The car we have been allocated has got seat belt error so had to return airport car hire swap another car.

Air side staff bit slow with steps to plane otherwise very good.

Second time we have used this car hire. Its convienant as its in the airport but both times it has been a long haul at the counter even though we had booked and paid in the UK and arrive with all our paperwork to hand. They are very forceful in pushing extras on you and be prepared for a very hard sell and a considerable wait as both times our car was not as we selected and hired and we had to accept a alternative and wait around 45 minutes for it to be ready. All this with cases, bags, and children in the heat.

Booked through DoYouSpain (Portugal). Car provided was a high mileage wreck. Complained to DYS who tried to double the price to change supplier. These guys at Faro airport sorted it with a much newer, but smaller car. If the car had been the right size this would be 5 star.

Booked online and they dont tell you clearly about the additional charges. Sneaky but fortunately had enough spare on the credit card. I didnt book under my name!!! All the car hire companies at Faro airport will charge a lot on top for the cover, you get it back but its a cost you didnt expect. Get excess insurance cover before you leave (40 quid most websites) and then you wont have to pay any big damage deposits at any car hire companies

Great n smooth experience.

Wanted to warn other travelers. I have never had a bad experience with car hires / rental cars anywhere in the world: South Africa, India, USA, Spain, etc. We rented a car here in Faro from Guerin (Alamo, Enterprise, National). They quickly inspected the car along with me. We noticed bumps and bruises but they said they were small enough and not to worry. We drove to our hotel for the day and back. Upon coming back, the employee opened the passenger door and noticed a light scratch on the inside edge of the door. I obviously disputed and he claimed it was new. No way I would ve thought to review interior edges of doors on the initial inspection. Clearly a money grab. I will dispute the charges and keep everyone updated, but what a headache and dirty practice. I saw on other reviews that Guerin (Enterprise, Alamo, and National) do not return deposits or add more charges later as well. Please be careful and avoid this if possible. I saw reviews on several other local rent-a-cars that will avoid you the distress on your vacation and calls to insurance companies after to help dispute. What a mess.

Europcar. Conning bar stewards. Paid in full from the Easyjet website only to be told on arrival that because I had used a US website, since when has Easyjet been a US company, that I would need to pay an extra 15 Euros a day or I cant take the car. Its a racket, use someone else.

Sixt was professional but the car was different to my booked car and it took 30 minutes to queue for the counter! Very good value off season thought

Waited forever to be taken to our car hire place by mini bus. Would hire from airport next time, not off site
