Sehr gute Autovermietung in der Nähe des Flughafen Faro. Nach der Ankunft schnelle Abholung am Terminal mit einem Mercedes Van, vor Ort gute Abwicklung. Die sehr freundlichen und sympathischen Mitarbeiter haben den Mietvertrag erklärt, es gab die Möglichkeit, noch was zuzubuchen, das brauchte ich aber nicht. Der Mietwagen war ein ziemlich neuer A250d Hybrid Mercedes mit Vollausstattung im gutem Zustand. Der Wagen wurde vor Ort erklärt und die Software extra für mich auf deutsch umgestellt. Bei der Rückgabe musste der Wagen sauber sein, war aber auch vorher bekannt. Bei der Kontrolle wurde zunächst ein Schaden entdeckt, der nicht in der Übergabe stand, der Mitarbeiter war aber so fair und hat geschaut ob der Schaden nicht doch schon da war und tatsächlich war dem so, es wurde daher nichts berechnet. Danach ging es schnell zurück zum Terminal Faro. Dieser Autovermieter hat mich durch die moderne Flotte, gute Lage und Preise und besonders durch die Freundlichkeit der beiden jungen Mitarbeiter bei Abholung und Rückgabe überzeugt. Nächstes Jahr definitiv wieder.

Moi et ma compagne avons loué un véhicule à lentreprise Rent a Star à la fin de notre séjour ou tout cest parfaitement bien déroulé. Leur navette est venue nous récupérer à laéroport pour aller jusquà leur dépôt qui ce trouve en dehors et nous on ramené à la fin de location cest parfait. Accueil très aimable avec de bonnes explications et conseil relatif au véhicule et autres informations,contrat clair et bien traité. Il possède une flotte automobile uniquement Mercedes en boîte automatique qui pour notre part était très peut kilometré pour ne pas dire neuve et très propre ! Il y avait une caution dun montant de 2145 pour le modèle choisi (A 250e) qui est non débité et rendu après vérification du véhicule lors de la remise. Pour conclure: très bonne expérience avec un super rapport qualité-prix pour ce type de véhicule haut de gamme ! Nous reviendrons très certainement chez eux

Après un simple appel, lhôtesse Catia est arrivée très vite et elle a été très sympathique. Voiture impeccable, presque neuve. Transfert vers leurs locaux dans une navette impeccable aussi. Etat des lieux correct, on ma proposé un café pendant que Catia a rempli les documents. Au retour, tout cest bien passé aussi. Encore un grand merci a Catia qui a été très professionnelle.

Im giving five stars as the overall experience was great (especially the almost brand new A class!), but please stress it somewhere when booking that an EUR 1950 deposit is required to avoid unpleasant surprises!

Accueil parfait, formalités simples. Service de navette depuis laéroport très pratique. Nous recommandons ce service de location très professionnel. Rassurez-vous pour les cautions, elles sont importantes mais sont restituées facilement sous 5 jours(sous réserve de rendre un véhicule dans le même état quau depart!)

Cuidado ao Alugar veículos nessa empresa. Existe cláusulas absurdas que estão dentro do escritório e não no contrato. Como por exemplo essa tal taxa noturna. Como você vai saber disso sendo que você está visitando pela primeira vez? Uma pessima primeira impressão do país. Isso é abusivo e quero um estorno disso. Já vi que é uma prática que ocorre com outros clientes também. Pedi assistência como taxi e nao fui atendido. Gostaria de mudar minha avaliação caso entrem em contato comigo para resolver essas pendências. Sobre o comentário abaixo .. não não tinha nada escrito sobre essa taxa. Eu lavei o carro para entregar de volta e me certifiquei sobre a qualidade também. E sobre a educação é questão de ação e reação. Fui direto ao ponto onde fiquei mais de 5 horas atolado com minha esposa numa fazenda que tinha animais ou alguém que também poderia nos atacar. Quero ressaltar o atendimento de uma brasileira que me atendeu no início, excelente atendimento! Acredito que ela não tem nenhuma reclamação para fazer sobre minha educação que garanto que é muito bem polída. Pedi instruções há ela e também que me mostrasse aonde estava essa cláusula e a mesma me mostrou que isso se encontrava no próprio escritório e não nos papéis que recebi. A viagem teve um atraso devido às fortes chuvas na Irlanda e antecipadamente coloquei meu rastreio para que isso fosse também gerenciado. Se soubéssemos antes dessa tal taxa com total prazer e certeza teríamos nos preparado ou até escolhido outra agência. E sobre mais uma vez educação te confesso que fui mais muito Muito fino em todo momento. Ficar em outro país, sem direção, ninguém no raio de 30 km para te achar ou ajudar, quando a apolice disse que haveria taxi para apoio, sem gps, animais que nao conhecemos durante 5 horas!? Onde Apenas a polícia nos achou acha que isso não merece atenção? Por favor poupe comentários sobre educação pois saiba que duas vidas de dois consumidores estavam em perigo.!

Dont go there. I have a debit card, they said I cannot pay the caution with it as we need a credit card. So Im in portugal and all the other car rental are fully booked I dont have any solution. Other companies would have found a solution, not them. Terrible custumer service.

We had an exceptional experience with rent a Star and particularly Flavia! Usually its a stressful moment when you start/ finish your holidays but everything went very smoothly and quickly. The car was excellent and on top of this, most affordable around! They pick you up/drop you at the airport (only 5mins drive). No wait, quick and friendly service, no hidden fees.. I would definitely book with them again!

They actually didnt have any A class available but gave me an C class estate, which I of course was quite happy with. Everything was fine, including the service. No insurance hard sell - although the Discover Cars voucher states I have their full excess policy and says No need to take extra insurance at the rental desk etc ...so credit to them for having it written down for the car hire company (in this case Rent a Star) to see Couple of things to note.. The 10 euro cleaning fee that you pay when you leave with the car is a bit silly, Ive never know an extra charge like that to be added to a hire price. Be aware that the credit card block is 1950 euros (as per my rental Oct 2021). Just make sure that is okay for you, especially if you still need additional funds on your card to spend on during your trip/vacation. I was very surprised to find that the 2019 C class I had didnt have sat nav. Well it should have.. but the SD card with the map data had been removed (the display tells you this). Im not sure if its been lost or deliberately removed and you have to pay extra for it. Luckily I had enough data to use Google maps on my phone as nav. But you may want to check this if (like me) you are hiring from Rent a star knowing youll be getting a Mercedes and thinking it will certainly come with sat nav. All in all happy though. Would rent again from Rent a Star.

I m always hesitant with car rental agencies. Especially when they have such low prices. Rent a star really changed my perspective on car rental. We got a brandnew mercedes A class for only 27 euro s per day including all risk converage. Not only that, they brought and returned us to the airport in a shuttle. Such a nice company! Très bon accueil, serviables et aimables. Seul petit bémol, 10 de supplément sils doivent nettoyer le véhicule. Nous avons donc aspiré et lavé la jolie Mini. ..étrange en période de covid. Nous les recommandons malgré tout les yeux fermés

O melhor dentre os serviços que utilizei até hoje. Estornaram o valor do caução na entrega do veículo, diferentemente das outras agências que demoram 7 dias para devolverem o valor. Espero poder alugar mais vezes com eles. Recomendo!

Be very careful. these guys just add on fees that are not listed on the booking. The hours on their forms show they are open to 7pm monday to friday. We booked through opodo and advised we would arrive at 8.25pm. Upon arrival we were told to look for a greenbus area in the car park. there isnt one and we spent over an hour looking for them. (they are based away from the airport) when the driver arrived to collect us now after 9pm he informed us that we would need to pay an additional 45Euros as it was out of hours to collect the car. We paid less than that for the 3 days hire. Left with no choice we had to pay. we were then told we would need to pay toll money, cleaning of the car money, 1300 euros deposit which is returned when you deliver the car back. The customer service guy, Jose was rude and complained that he had been working 12 hours so either pay or cancel he didnt care. His manager om the phone was equally un-sympathetic. when delivering the car back - we were told the they will be open, but nowhere does it say what the hours are, the forms they give have out of date information, resulting in then having an opportunity to charge you extra. Be careful with these!!

Hi! I have had a very good experience with this firm, from the moment I landed till I arrived home. All went smooth, quick to pick me up and drop me back, no queues, no pressures to get insurance or scratches. Helpfull and nice. I had the impression of treating with a genuine family run business which take care of you, focused on giving a good service at a good price. They helped me to pay Portugals motoroway free barrier toll. As per other comments, remember to bring a credit card and not a debit card with enough funds (I think around 1300 eur).

110.70 for a small scratch on a rim. I have been renting cars for years and have never been charged anything like this. Be careful when parking when renting a car from this rental car company.

Wonderful service After a slight struggle finding the welcoming crew at arrivals, quickly answered phone and spoke good English we were shuttled to rental offices comfortably to collect our car. And when we return car it was handled quickly and smoothly Would recommend

Make sure to read the small print as you need to have at least 1300 available on your credit card in order to secure the car. Id already paid £88 online but they dont make this CLEAR at the time of booking. Ive rented many hire cars and have never had to have so much money available on my account. Who does? Gave 2 stars as the woman kindly waited for us at the airport at midnight for the shuttle. However lost my £88 and no car

Freundliche Bedienung, Wagen gut und preiswert. Etwas abseits vom Flughafen, aber kostenloser schneller Transfer hin und zurück. KEIN schalter im flughafen, am besten in der ankunftshalle genau auf die abholer mit din a4 schildetn achten oder rumfragen. Bei Ankunft wartet genau zur angegebenen Zeit ein Mitarbeiter, falls Verspätung besser anrufen und treffen klären...die am Telefon zugesagte Wartezeit bis zum Eintreffen von 5 Minuten wurden eingehalten. Nichts zu meckern.
