I did a roundtrip tour of six days of Algarve and everything was well organized = nice bike well tuned, nice hotels, luggage transfer but the most amazing were the landscapes of Algarve !

Great tour we rode on your bikes over the year change 2024/2025! Bicycles in very good condition, great service and friendly staff. We did spend a great time at Algarve and will return to using your bikes! Until then some suggestions for improvement: Personally I do not like Schrader valves, as using air supply at gas stations would require an adapter. Either supply adapters or change tubes (in the long run). The provided pump is only useful in real emergencies. Consider to include lights in the overall bike-rent. At least in winter the daylight riding time is limited withour light. Light would also improve visibilty during daytime rides, especially when it rains. Thank you and best regards Olaf & Kerstin

What an awesome experience! We rented two e-bikes for the day to explore Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. The staff were super helpful and the bikes were great. They also included bike locks, tire pump and repair kit for the ride. We scanned the QR code for a map, uploaded it to our AllTrails app and away we went. Would totally recommend them for bike rentals to explore the Faro area and beyond!

I had a great experience with this rental. The bikes were good and in perfect conditions, but mostly the staff members were really supportive. They gave us advices on the paths to take and found some solutions to give us a better experience (we got an extra bike bag, they swapped our batteries at the end of the day and let us keep the bike overnight, all free of charge). We hired 3 Giant Propels and they were perfectly set up and ready for us to ride. The staff were really helpful and gave us some routes to ride (80-100km) which were great, we did some coastal routes and some hills in the beautiful countryside away from the main areas. We stumbled on some great cafe stops during the rides with pastel de Nata and other treats. A great 3 days!

Wir waren für einen Kurztrip an der Algarve und haben uns spontan bei Algarve Cycling zwei Räder ausgeliehen. Die Auswahl auf der Homepage ist riesig, die Buchung einfach und problemlos inkl. der Anlieferung der Räder ins Hotel. Die Radgröße passte perfekt zu unseren Angaben. In Faro haben wir einen kurzen Abstecher gemacht und uns die Vermietung angesehen, alles sehr professionell und zu empfehlen! Wir hatten wirklich sehr viel FUN

Hier ist deine Nachricht als Google-Rezension umformuliert: Ich habe ein E-Bike mit Anhänger gemietet und war extrem unzufrieden. Trotz vorheriger Information über die Strecke (Faro-Tavira) hielt der Akku weniger als 40 km, was uns mitten im Nirgendwo festhielt. Es wurde kein zweiter Akku angeboten, und ich musste zusätzliche Kosten für die Rückkehr tragen. Kundenservice war unzureichend das Taxi wurde nicht erstattet, und ich erhielt keinen Rabatt. Der Ausflug war für meinen Partner und mich sehr enttäuschend. Solche grundlegenden Informationen sollten im Voraus klar kommuniziert werden.

Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Ich habe mir hier ein Rennrad geliehen. Die Buchung und die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war unkompliziert, freundlich und klar. Abholung reibungslos, das Rad in einem sehr guten Zustand, hat Spaß gemacht. Bei Rückgabe auch alles einwandfrei.

Wir hatten 2 Gravelbikes für 2 Tage bei Algarve Cycling in Faro ausgeliehen. Miete und Kontaktaufnahme hat per WhatsApp und Website hervorragend geklappt. Haben 2 schöne Tage auf dem Bikes gehabt - Pedale wie gewünscht vormontiert. Gerne wieder und sehr weiter zu empfehlen.

Hatten 2 Rennräder für eine 6-Tages-Tour mit Gepäcktranfers (gebucht über BikeTeam). Fazit: Sehr nettes Team, Räder sehr gut, keine Pannen, alles perfekt eingestellt gem. unseren Maßangaben. Der Gepäcktranspprt lief super. Auch die Einweisung in die Routen war gut, und der Kontakt per WhatsApp zur Koordination der Rückgabe funktionierte super schnell.

Sehr nettes Team, sehr zuvorkommend, sehr hilfsbereit und tolle Räder! Wir waren eine Woche Anfang Oktober mit den TREKKING 29 Rädern quer durch die Algarve mit Gepäck und überwiegend auf Gravel-Routen unterwegs. Dank der schlauchlosen 2 Bereifung schwebten wir leicht und flockig über die Pisten. 1a, da kommen wir gerne wieder!

What a great bicycle trip! Sofia and Christina friendly and helpful! They set up the tour and tailored it to our situation. It was most appreciated! The bikes were lovely, in great condition. We did the rides from 2 bases. What a great way to get away from the crowds, see the country side and small villages. The routes were a great combination of asphalt, dirt roads and bike paths. The hotels, in Olhão and Lagos, were very nice. Really enjoyed being so close to old town in Lagos. I would highly recommend this tour and company. Did I mention that Christina and Sofia were very helpful and friendly?!

Great people, great bikes. I booked a bike to go bikepacking around Algarve and Alentejo. I landed at 12.30 and I was on my bike by 13.30. Bike was perfect the whole time.

Zunächst dachte ich mir wo die Fahrräder sind. Aber hinter der Tür kommt man dann in ein Lager mit vielen Fahrrädern, wie ein Waffenarsenal hahaha. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Ländern an denen wir Fahrräder ausgeliehen hatten, bekommt man hier einen Super Service. Die Hilfskraft ist sehr bemüht und einzelne dinge wie ein Schloss, eine Handyhalterung etc. kosten nicht extra oder so. Die Preise für die Fahrräder sind fair und eine Kaution mit 50 ist verglichen sogar noch billig. Die Fahrräder sind zudem im Super Zustand. Endlich mal ausgeliehene Fahrräder, wo die Gänge problemlos funktionieren. Super Geschäft! Wenn ich hier wieder Urlaub machen sollte, gerne wieder!

Hired a lovely new carbon gravel bike for four days, really nice bike, they fitted the rack in advance and asked for lots of measurements to get me pretty much dialled in. Nice people, great location next to the rail station and bus stop. Would 100% use them again.

We just walked in looking to rent gravel bikes and the guys were super friendly and helpful. We got well maintained gravel bikes and clean helmets, you can also rent bike computers, pedals and stuff. They will also send you an e-mail with different routes you can explore if you ask nicely. You can leave a deposit or your license and returning the bikes was very easy. You can also leave the bikes at the shop over night if you can t take it to your accomodation. Absolutely recommend!

Wir waren insgesamt 11 Tage mit 2 Gravelbikes von Algarve Cycling an der Algarve, der Westküste und im Hinterland unterwegs. Alles hat bestens funktioniert. Wir haben eine wunderbar organisierte 6-tägige Ost-West Algarve Radtour gebucht. Alles hat super funktioniert, angefangen die Übergabe der Bikes sowie die gelieferten GPS Touren, die vorwiegend auf Nebenstraßen geführt wurden. Ebenso der Transfer des Gepäcks hat super funktioniert. Wir haben viele tolle Eindrücke mitnehmen können. Viele Dank nochmal an das tolle Team.

Super Fahrradverleih mit freundlichem Personal das auch deutsch spricht. Wir hatten 2 e-Touring bikes für uns und ein 26 e-mountain bike für unseren Sohn gemietet. Damit hat er die 30km Tour super motiviert absolviert. Man kann direkt vom Verleih losfahren und einer zur Verfügung gestellten Route entlang der Küste folgen. Auch der E-mail Verkehr zur Reservierung war super unkompliziert.

I rented a bike from here for 5 days. The bike was top quality and in immaculate condition. It was all set up for me on arrival with thanks to Jamie and Cristina who were really friendly and helpful in arranging the rental. Most of the routes I cycled were north from Faro. Once you get out of town the roads are nice and quiet, drivers very respectful with beautiful rolling hills in all directions. Highly recommend!

Ich habe mit einem ebike von Algarve Cycling eine wunderbare 19 tägige Rundtour im Hinterland der Algarve und im südlichen Alentejo unternommen. Das ebike hat mich und meine beiden schweren Gepäcktaschen ohne irgendeine Panne sehr zuverlässig und sicher befördert. Anstiege, wie der von Zambujeira in die Monchique-Berge, waren problemlos zu bewältigen. Dabei habe ich mir viel Zeit genommen und die Etappen, sofern viele Höhenmeter zu überwinden waren eher etwas kürzer geplant. Und es gab bei den selbst organisierten Unterkünften immer eine Möglichkeit mittels des 8 m langen Elektrokabels, das mir von dem freundlichen Mitarbeiter von Algarve-Cycling mitgegeben worden war, den mit dem Rad fest verbundenen Akku über Nacht wieder aufzuladen. Die Kommunikation mit den Mitarbeitern von Algarve Cycling war sehr gut. Ich hatte eine ganz wunderbare Tour mit dem ebike! Vielen Dank dafür an das Algarve Cycling Team!

I rented a road bike with them in march 2024, see photo attached. The bike was brand new, I was the first time user. The service before the booking and during was amazing, very responsive and even I made a last minute change to drop the bike on Sunday and they replied right away.

I rented a bike for an affordable price for a day trip. During my trip the chain broke down and I was stuck in rural Algarve. Through the WhatsApp customer service I got an immediate response and they arrived within 30 minutes with repairtools and an extra bike. I was able to continue my trip 45 minutes aftee it broke down. Great service and friendly staff!

Thanks to the team @AlgarveCycling we had a fantastic day s cycling, exploring the area west of Faro, including the Ludo trail. Their advice and mapping guidance was assured and smooth. If only the track surfaces had been as smooth! But they were all manageable thanks to the suspension and sturdiness of their Specialized trekking bikes. If you fancy a day exploring beyond Faro old town, then bike is the way forward and the bikes from Algarve Cycling are way to go.

Absolute Empfehlung : Top Service , tolle Bikes, tolle Radregion Unmittelbare E Mail Antwort nach unserer Buchungsanfrage. Im Weiteren netter, bemühter und flexibler E Mail Verkehr. Die Bikes wurden gegen eine geringe Liefergebühr pünktlich zu den vereinbarten Zeitpunkten auch zu unseren entlegenen Ferienhaus angeliefert und wieder abgeholt ! Die E MTB waren top in Schuss und bei der bergigen Lage hier gut zu gebrauchen. Die Landschaft hier ist abwechslungsreich und lädt förmlich dazu ein fernab von den touristischen Pfaden mit dem Fahrrad erschloßen zu werden. Und dank der von Algarve Bike zur Verfügung gestellten gpx Files waren wir auf absolut verkehrsarmen und tollen Strassen und Wegen unterwegs. Danke dafür an Jaime und Cristina.

To retain freedom and privacy, when my wife and I travel we do most of our own planning. At some point we may do tours, but if you want an independent self-guided ride, try these guys. Jaime and Luis set us up with well maintained non-electric city type bikes and GPS mapped a one way route from Tavira to Faro; we followed it closely with some deviations for about 50 km. The really sweet ride had a lot of local flavor and I was introduced to offline GPS mapping and think I m hooked.

We did the one week self guided Trans-Algarve Coast Tour with non-electric bikes in September 2023 and had an amazing time! Everything was perfectly planned and arranged for us, from the bikes and accessories, hotels, transportation, carefully designed routes to sightseeing locations and recommended activities. Not to mention excellent service and attentive follow up. We rode 286km/178miles and climbed 2780m/9120ft totally in 6 days (according to my Garmin watch). The rides were tough (for non electric bikes) at times with 780m/2560ft climbing/elevation gain one day (we are 59/61 year old couple). But the places and scenery we ve gone through were all worth it! Highly recommended.

Atendimento perfeito! Recomendo muito para alugar bike em Faro.

Wir sind eine 5-köpfige Reisegruppe und haben vom 4. bis zum 8. Januar 2024 eine Fahrradtour von Evora nach Tavira (ALGARVE) gemacht. Die gesamte Organisation dieser Radtour einschließlich der Hotelübernachtungen, Ausarbeitung der Strecke mit GPS-Daten, Gepäcktransport und Vermietung der E-Bikes lag in den Händen von Algarvecycling in Faro. Wir können über diese Reise nur gutes berichten. Die gesamte Organisation war perfekt. Die Hotels ( 5 Übernachtungen während der Tour ) waren gut bis sehr gut. Im Vordergrund standen natürlich die phantastischen und abwechselungsreichen Landschaften, die wir durchradelt haben sowie die sehr schönen Etappenziele wie zB Monsaraz, Moura und Alcoutim an der spanischen Grenze. Die Seele von Algarvecycling ist Frau Cristina Carrada, die sich immer sehr freundlich um fürsorglich um alles kümmert und stets ansprechbar ist. Nur ein Beispiel: An einem Sonntag hatten wir ein kleines technisches Problem mit einem der Leihräder und haben dies Frau Carrada per Mail mitgeteilt in der Hoffnung, dass sie unsere Mail am darauffolgenden Montag liest. Tatsächlich meldete sich Frau Carrada noch am Sonntag (!) wenige Minuten nach Absendung unserer Mail und sicherte uns den Austausch des Fahrrades mit dem technischen Problem für Montag - Morgen zu, was dann auch geschah. Ganz abgesehen davon spricht Frau Carrada fließend deutsch, was natürlich den zahlreichen deutschen Touristen, die die Dienste von Algarvecycling in Anspruch nehmen, sehr entgegen kommt. Aus unserer Sicht kann man Radreisen mit Algarvecycling nur wärmstens empfehlen. Für uns gibt es keine schönere Erholung als eine mehrtägige Fahrt durch den Alentejo , am Atlantik entlang oder die Algarve. AS

This is an amazing bike company. We hired bikes yesterday to explore 30 miles of the spectacular salt marshes of Rio Formosa.The owner, Jaime, could not have been more helpful. Comfortable bikes, good route map, excellent advice on what to do and see. They also organise more ambitious bike tours through Portugal. Highly recommended!

Great service in general. Good bikes, with proper maintemance. Staff friendly, flexible, responsive and really making efford to be it the best experience for you. I have rented a mountain bike for 5 days. They made sure that it had everything i needed and what i have asked for. High, kind of german standards. If i knew it would be such an experience i wouldnt have sent my bike from Spain (which was lost by the portuguese post service...) and just went with their great service. Totally recommendable. And an experience to repeat.

Super Service und ganz tolle Menschen die dort arbeiten. Mir wurde leider mein abgeschlossenes Fahrrad geklaut. Ich bin umgehend zum Fahrradverleih und habe es ihnen dort mitgeteilt. Sie hatten sehr großes Verständnis und gaben mir keineswegs die Schuld. Die liebe Mitarbeiterin Rita hat alles mögliche getan, um mir zu helfen. Gemeinsam sind wir sogar zur Polizei gegangen. Falls ich noch etwas von ihnen für meine Versicherung benötige, kann ich mich jederzeit bei ihnen melden. Wirklich ganz großes Dankeschön nochmal!!

Best Bike rent company in Algarve

(English & German rating) If you want to rent a bike, you MUST contact Lisa Bikes! I was looking for a bike rental in advance and came across Lisa Bikes. After my request I received an answer immediately. My girlfriend and I received a great offer for an 11-day rental of 2 e-mountain bikes. These were delivered to us on in Albufeira. The bicycles are equipped with a bottle holder, air pump and a saddlebag with a replacement tube, tools and repair kit. The driver / supplier Goncalo is super nice and explains everything great ... Even after I had a battery problem with one of the two e-bikes, it was immediately exchanged the next morning (complaint was made late in the evening). Even if the mistake was not tragic and only appeared sporadically (without serious consequences). All in all, the rental Lisabikes is an excellent bike rental with great support, brilliant bikes and great prices. On my next holiday in the Algarve, I immediately know who to turn to. Thumbs up :-) ------------------------------------------------ Wer ein Fahrrad mieten möchte, MUSS sich an Lisa Bikes wenden ! Ich habe im Voraus nach einer Fahrrad Vermietung gesucht und bin auf Lisa Bikes gestoßen. Nach meiner Anfrage wurde mir umgehend geantwortet. Meiner Freundin und mir wurde ein super Angebot für eine 11 tägige Vermietung von 2 E-Mountainbikes unterbreitet. Diese wurden uns am nach Albufeira geliefert. Die Fahrräder sind mit Flaschenhalter, Luftpumpe und einer Satteltasche mit einem Ersatzschlauch, Werkzeug, und Reparaturset ausgerüstet. Der Fahrer / Lieferant Goncalo ist super nett und erklärt alles super... Auch nachdem ich mit einem der beiden E Bikes ein Akkuproblem hatte wurde dieses am nächsten Morgen (Reklamation erfolgte spät Abends) sofort getauscht. Auch wenn der Fehler nicht tragisch war und nur sporadisch auftauchte (ohne gravierende Folgen). Alles in allem ist die Vermietung Lisabikes eine exzellente Fahrrad Vermietung mit super Support, genialen Bikes und super Preisen. Beim nächsten Algarveurlaub weiss ich sofort an wen ich mich wenden muss. Daumen hoch :-)

Gute Bikes und sehr nettes Personal. Der Preis ist angemessen. Mir ist die Kette während einer Tour gerissen. Kurz angerufen und der Mechaniker kam vorbei und hat eine neue Kette montiert. Super Service

Lisa Bikes ist eine tolle Empfehlung! Wir sind die Hinterland Küstentour gefahren, haben uns bestens betreut gefphlt, tolle Bikes, sehr schöne Tourenwahl und Hotels. Sehr gerne wieder!

Perfect bike and service

Tökéletes szervezés, kedves fogadtatás. Barátságos, kényelmes szállások, b séges reggelivel. Megbízható, jó állapotban lév min ségi kerékpárok, jól használható GPS és térkép. Hasznos útmutatások, javaslatok, információk. Segít kész, barátságos Lisabike-osok. Gyönyör útvonalak, csodálatos látnivalók. Egyetlen negatívum, hogy néhol túl nagy forgalomban kellett kerékpározni, például Faro el tt ez kifejezetten balesetveszélyes volt. Összességében azt kaptuk, amire számítottunk, napsütést, vidámságot, finom ételeket, italokat, csodálatos élményeket, fantasztikus látnivalókat, egy szokványosnak nem nevezhet romantikus túra során.
