After reading countless horror story reviews of several of the cheaper car hire companies in Funchal, we decided to go a bit further up the price ladder for a bit of security. We were not disappointed. Anna was excellent, the car ( a fairly new, very clean polo cross) had good brakes, clutch the works ( which as we quickly found out are EXTREMELY important on Madeira) and the entire process was very smooth. We paid an extra 20 quid or so for insurance and ( also important) NO GIANT DEPOSIT ( or any for that matter. Highly recommend

I would strongly advise to go there to rent a car, the lady was so warm and welcoming. She took time to find us a car even though it was sunday and we decided we wanted a car in the last minute. She explained to us everything, even found the best parking place for us according to our hotel place. She’s also very honest and diplomatic! We scratched the car sadly (and deeply felt bad for that) but since we had the insurance it was covered. She still kept a smile with us despite it all and didn’t try to scam us like some other renters would. The price are really great, the car was super nice to drive. She was always accessible by phone if we needed her. We couldnt have found a better place to rent a car!
Literally the best place to rent a car. They are welcoming and very helpful. They help us a lot even why we cause some little troubles for them, understanding level unmatched. I am really happy to have chosen to rent the car with them.
The lady at the desk was super friendly and helpful. Without her help we couldn't have seen such beautiful places. As a young driver und 21 it's very difficult to get a car or a scooter but they made it possible for us. The scooter was very easy to drive as she gave us a good run through.
We rented their Dacia Sandero for four weeks. Such a great, almost new car, powerful enough for all roads and fully insured for a really fair price. Nothing left on the table. Thank you so much! We will come back to you next time :)
I strongly recommend this place! Owners are really friendly, and flexy regarding rental hours. We rent scooter NMax (recommended model for two people, very comfortable). Scotter was in very good condition (with new brakes), we also got 2 helmets (new ones).
Very friendly customer service. Cheap rental vehicles. Well maintained and maintained. After being returned we were driven back to the port by the friendly staff. All in all, highly recommended.
Die kurze Version: 5-Sterne Plus. Eigentlich sollte ich den Wagen abholen, doch als ich verschlief, rief man mich an und bot mir sogar den Wagen direkt vor die Haustür zu bringen, das hier das Kreuzfahrtschiffterminal. Auch dort dürfte ich den Wagen wieder zurücklassen. Jede Abstimmung via WhatsApp verlief absolut unproblematisch. Dann am Ende den Wagen im Terminal abgestellt, Fotos gemacht, per WhatsApp geschickt und das Büro informiert. Und die ganze Sache war erledigt. Super freundliches Personal. Bei der Übergabe, hat die Dame alles erklärt - Insgesamt super Erfahrung und definitiv zu empfehlen!!!
Ich dachte erst nur 5 Sterne Bewertungen? Aber es ist wirklich wahr. Super netter Service, 1 a Fahrzeug VW Polo und Greg fuhr uns nach Abgabe noch in die Altstadt. Das nächste mal auf alle Fälle wieder da auch nur 10 min zu Fuß vom Kreuzfahrtterminal.

Wir haben uns für eine Woche 125er Roller gemietet. Sie wurden uns sogar zum Hotel gebracht und am Ende wieder abgeholt. Für unseren kleinen Sohn haben sie sogar extra noch einen Kinderhelm gekauft. Super nette Menschen einfach nur empfehlenswert. Danke

Very good car rental place. The sign out process was fast and easy, fast communication on whatsapp, no upselling. Highly convenient and at a price that was better than any other shop in the area.

Excellent service from Ana & Gregs family business. Good cars, good prices (including reasonable deposit of 500 + 120 fuel deposit = 620 total). They want to (and do) provide a good service - theyre not out to rip you off!
Everything done very well. Car, Dacia Sandero in excellent condition, almost new. Pickup on return was just a formality. I recommend.
I had a very good experience. Everything was just perfect and I would definitely choose 22AG Maderia, Rent a car again. They were very very nice - we asked to change pick up and drop off place - and they had no problem with it. Nous navions que des cartes bancaires CB Visa de débit et non de crédit (débit différé), subtile nuance qui vous empêche de laisser une caution avec votre CB. Nous avions lu tellement de choses, darnaques en tous genres à ce sujet, que nous avons loué une voiture à Madère à la dernière minute, la boule au ventre, chez 22AG car ils avaient de bons avis Google... Et bien, ils ont été SUPER !!! Super pro, car ils nous ont fourni tous les documents que nous demandions. Super patients, car ils ont répondu à toutes nos questions, parfois tard, sur Whats App et quils nous ont même attendu jusquà 22h à laéroport lorsque notre vol a été retardé! Super cool enfin, car le bon échange que nous avons eu sur WhatsApp sest vite transformé en relation de confiance mutuelle quand nous nous sommes rencontrés. Pour un prix raisonnable, nous avons eu une Dacia Stepway quasi neuve. Nous recommandons chaudement. Allez-y les yeux fermés...sauf pour conduire! Ana mérite 6 toiles sur 5!!!

Possible payment by card. Car was delivered at and picked up from the hotel by our request. Possibility to connect device (f.ex. mobile phone) to a display via USB - super helpful for using a map while driving. Highly recommended!
Sehr cooler, herzlicher Familienbetrieb ohne Riesenanbindung an große Werbebudgets. Sie brachten uns das Auto direkt zur Unterkunft (obwohl wir erst einen Tag davor buchten) und wir konnten es bis zum Flughafen behalten. Hat alles perfekt über Whatsapp funktioniert und war ein wirklich gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis für 5 Tage. Die krassen Steigungen und Serpentinen machten dem kleinen Flitzer nichts aus. Absolute Empfehlung

Após perder a reserva noutra rent-a-car, a 22 AG Madeira salvou-me as férias disponibilizando-me um carro de 7 lugares em 20 minutos. Sem cauções, com seguro danos próprios, preços muito competitivos e são uma simpatia. Foram ter comigo ao Funchal para entrega da viatura e mais tarde recolheram-na no aeroporto junto às partidas. Muito obrigado pela vossa disponibilidade, com certeza voltarei a contratar os vossos serviços.

Mi a i profesjonalna obs uga w j zyku angielskim. Wypo yczyli my Dacia Sandero Stepway, bez depozytu i karty kredytowej. Auto nowe, podstawione pod hotel, spokojnie poradzi sobie z ka dym wzniesieniem na wyspie. Mo na wypo yczy nawet na jeden dzie , a nie jak u konkurencji na minimum 3. Wszystkie formalno ci mo na za atwi przez internet.
Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mit dem Auto einem VW Polo war ich auch sehr zufrieden. Bei der Abholung und der Rückgabe des Autos lief alles sehr reibungslos und entspannt ab. Es wurde sogar angeboten das sie das Auto am Hotel abholen. Ich kann diese Autovermietung wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

Unglaublich freundliche Vermietung! Wir haben einen Roller und später noch ein Auto gemietet. Weil nicht alle Fahrräder ins Auto gepasst haben wurde uns sogar noch spontan ein Fahhradträger organisiert. Ich bin wirklich begeistert, habe noch nie so unkompliziert ein Auto gemietet!

I gave them a call on Sunday morning to rent a scooter. It was delivered within 45 minutes to my hotel. Ana and Greg are very friendly and helpful. The service is outstanding. When I will be back on the island rental only with AG22

Hired an almost brand new Dacia Sandaro for 3 days over the Xmas holidays. Contacted a week or so before from the UK by email and communication was excellent from start to finish. Drop off and collect from our hotel (Paneramico) and the price including full insurance and extra driver was much better value than the big car companies. This is a small company and Ana made the car rental experience personal, as she can advise places and weather info via what s app if needed at any time during your rental. I would definitely recommend, book with confidence!
