No período de 18 a 22/12/24, visitei a Madeira, no dia 31/07/24, liguei para a Madeira Rent, para pedir informações sobre o aluguer de uma viatura para estas datas, tive o cuidado como é habitual, de informar que não utilizo cartão de crédito, se posso deixar a caução em dinheiro, confirmaram que sim era possível, de imediato perguntei par além do pagamento da viatura escolhida e uma vez que ia deixar a caução em dinheiro qual seria o montante, fui informada que para a viatura escolhida ou outra similar, o valor da caução seria de 300 em dinheiro, que seria devolvido na entrega da viatura no dia 22/12, perguntei se tinha de pagar mais alguma coisa e disseram que não. No dia 18/12 quando fui levantar a viatura, disseram que além dos 300 que iria deixar como caução e uma vez que era em dinheiro tinha de pagar um seguro extra no montante de: 150 , caso contrário teria de pagar a caução com cartão de crédito e que o valor seria bem superior, achei inadmissível não terem informado sobre esta situação uma vez que com quase 6 meses de antecedência fiz o pagamento e tive o cuidado de perguntar sobre todo e qualquer pagamento que tinha de fazer. Não entregaram o carro escolhido, mas até aqui tudo ok, pode ser sempre um carro similar, o problema é que entregaram, um Ford Puma que sem dúvida é um carro maravilhoso não fosse o carro entregue estar com os travões danificados, o meu marido tem conhecimento nesta área e o travão do lado direito praticamente era chapa contra chapa, tendo em conta que na Madeira existe muitas subidas/descidas íngremes, era muito arriscado, nas descidas o carro vibrava por todo o lado, também não prezam muito pela limpeza interior, quando entregam a viatura, foi sem dúvida uma péssima experiência, não recomendo.

I rented a car for vacation through booking.com from Madeira Rent in Funchal airport. On arrival they forced to buy extra insurance or not giving a car out. I consider this as an insurance scam.

One of the smoothest car renting experiences Ive had. Great value for money and the insurance option felt totally fair which is not common in Portugal.

Avoid at all costs! Deposit charged without explanation: Following a clutch failure on a vehicle with only 6,000 km, our deposit of 1,600 was charged without any justification. Even a week after our return, there has been no contact or explanation from their side. Moreover, the Response time after the breakdown: Completely unacceptable! We had to wait more than one hour to be able to have a contact with someone !

Versuchen teures Auto aufzudrücken.

Hatten unsere Flitterwochen auf Madeira verbracht und uns für 4 Tage ein Leihauto geholt. Madeira Rent ist absolut zu empfehlen, sehr kompetent und freundlich. Auch die Rückgabe des Autos verlief ohne Probleme. Wir werden uns auf alle Fälle bei unserem nächsten Madeira Urlaub dort wieder unser Auto holen. 5 Sterne sind absolut verdient.

Zu wenig PS für Madeira mit extrem steilen Strassen. Tank war nur zu 3/8 voll im Mietvertrag stand 4/8. Insgesamt war das Auto nicht wirklich geeignet für Madeira. Wir hatten einen Nissan Juke. Denke für die Insel wenn ein Suto dann nur mit 4 rad antrieb.

Wir haben den Mietwagen über Check24 gebucht mit einer Kaution in Höhe von 1800 ohne Selbstbeteiligung. Die Buchung war einfach, schnell und unkompliziert. Das Personal bei der Autovermietung war sehr freundlich und hat uns alle wichtigen Infos zu den Mietbedingungen und dem Auto erklärt. Der Mietwagen hatte vor der Abholung bereits viele Vorschäden. Das scheint auf Madeira jedoch häufig der Fall zu sein. Wir haben es an vielen Mietwagen beobachten können. Uns wurde Angeboten die Schäden schriftlich festzuhalten oder Fotos und Videos zu machen. Wir haben uns für Fotos und Videos entschieden. Der Tank war zu 60% gefüllt und muss mit demselben Füllstand wieder abgegeben werden. Die Abgabe verlief sehr unkompliziert. Ein Mitarbeiter hat sich den Wagen kurz angeschaut. Anschließend wurde unsere Kaution freigegeben und die Abgabe war erledigt. Wir können diese Autovermietung weiterempfehlen.

Mucho cuidado si alquilas en esta compañía. Hay que tener seguro total. Tuve un pinchazo ( pinchazo normal, un clavo en la banda de rodadura ), y me cobraron exactamente 553,50 euros alegando que tenían que cambiar las dos ruedas delanteras. Me parece un abuso absoluto.

Suite à un problème de carte bleu crédit ou débit. Le gars nous dit cest 1400 a payé pour la garantie. On refuse cela dur 20 bonne minutes. Et nous propose de payer 170 pour lassurance. 1400 à 170 . Juste un mot fuir ce loueur de voiture. Il était pas Aimable.

Wir haben schon zum zweiten Mal über Sunny Cars ein Auto bei Madeira Rent gemietet. Beim ersten Mal war es fast ein Neuwagen, diesmal hatte es schon diverse Schrammen, war aber technisch einwandfrei. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Die Kommunikation auf Englisch klappt gut.

Von der Abholung bis zur Rückgabe war alles perfekt und sehr unkompliziert. Jéssica und Fábio machen wirklich einen guten Job und waren sehr freundlich. Am Flughafen habe ich ein Upgrade für einen sehr guten Preis bekommen, das Auto (VW T-roc) war fast wie neu, damit konnte ich die ganze Insel ohne Probleme besichtigen.

Ive booked the car at home with sunny-cars which was very easy and clear. Picking it up at Madeira Rent was not a good experience. The guy at the desk was hectic and I felt forced to sign a contract which I should receive by mail - (what I didnt!) after signing it. When I asked what Im signing, the explanation was unclear and he got unfriendly. I left with a bad feeling; not knowing if I got cheated or not.

Todo bien hasta que devolvimos el vehiculo. Al devolverlo nos pidieron la documentacion del mismo, algo que nunca nos dieron y tampoco estaba en el coche. Alguien no hizo biEn su trabajo y nos entrego el coche sin documentacion por lo que nos descontaron 60 euros de la fianza. Pero lo peor y mas grave es que hemos estando circulando 7 dias sin documentacion y, ademas, de hacernos pagar el importe no se disculparon en ningun momento. Aeropuerto de Maderia 12/10/2024)

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY Extremely unhelpful and with bad customer service. We rented a car with them and it broke down on a penultimate day. Madeira Rent had us waiting for over an hour for someone to pick us up and DID NOT provide a replacement car - they did not have a replacement convertible or automatic so sorry, no refund . We had full coverage insurance but that means nothing. Madeira Rent charged us 700 euros for towing, taxi us home, repairing the car because their contract and car keys noted different types of fuel and its not their problem that BP gas station put in the wrong fuel. We even had to cover the towing ourselves, despite having full insurance. BEWARE - The keys indicate one type of fuel and the contract you are given indicates another. Make sure you clarify that if you rent from them. The front desk also told us it is a common issue that gas stations fill up the wrong type of fuel so be very careful.

Auto opgehaald op luchthaven en afgeleverd in Funchal centrum. Netjes geholpen. Ze boden nog een upgrade aan tegen een meerprijs, maar wij waren tevreden met de auto die we hadden geboekt. Auto (Seat Arona) was verder prima en geschikt voor de stijle wegen en hellingen.

The sales person was really professional and explained very well all the information for the car.

The process of picking up and dropping off the car was relatively straightforward, and the car itself was good. The issue arose because we were instructed to return the car just as we picked it up - with the gas tank filled up, but it wasnt full when we received it (we fortunately took a photo for documentation). We returned the car with more gas than it had when we got it and also took a photo to prove it. We explained this to the service assistant at the drop-off location, who assured us there was no problem. However, a couple of days later, 30 was deducted from our deposit with the justification that the car wasnt fully refueled. After we explained the situation again, and provided the photos, the company agreed to return the 30. Its just unfortunate that this issue occurred and we had to waste our time taking care of it. Not the best experience.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Service von Madeira Rent.

Driving in Madeira is an adventure due to the steep roads and folks parking in random spots. The car we rented was scrapped and dinged! But that was all well documented and we were not charged for the previous damage. If you are not an experienced driver and rely narrowly focused on your phone navigation it is not hard to see how you can get into trouble. We had a family of five and the Peugeot 5008 (7 seater if no cargo) fit everything well. Rodolfo Nunes made check in clear and easy. He had some great suggestions for restaurants (We left Charlotte and flew directly to Funchal). Drop off was equally easy. Overall a great experience and would rent from them again!

Unbedingt Fotos mache, sowohl bei der Abholung als auch bei der Abgabe!! Bei der Abgabe hat man mir zusammen kein gemeinsames Protokoll erstellt, was mich stutzig gemacht hat. Nach 10 Minuten bekam ich eine Email mit einer Rechnung von 400 die ich begleichen soll. Mit der Begründung: Stoßstange hat einen Schaden. Den Schaden habe ich nicht verursacht und schrieb eine Email und schickte die Beweisfotos mit. Die Rechnung wurde auch storniert. Beweisfotos ganz wichtig!!!

Not happy at alle with the service. We were charged for a scratch that was already present on the car upon arrival. Even though we have photos as prove, the money was taken from our bank account anyways. On top of that, some fees were charged twice. Do not rent a car with them, they steal your money.

Arnaque à la caution - Fuyez cette entreprise ! Nous avons récemment loué une voiture auprès de cette entreprise et avons vécu une expérience extrêmement désagréable. Lors du dépôt de caution, l agent nous a informé que le nom du conducteur principal (moi-même) devait obligatoirement correspondre au nom sur la carte de crédit utilisée pour le dépôt de garantie. Comme la carte utilisée appartenait à ma femme, ils nous ont forcés à ajouter un nouveau conducteur moyennant une assurance supplémentaire de 300 , sous prétexte que c était stipulé dans leur règlement. Malgré nos tentatives de négocier et d expliquer la situation, l agent a refusé de faire preuve de flexibilité, nous laissant sans autre choix que de payer cette somme exorbitante pour pouvoir récupérer notre véhicule. Ce genre de pratique est inacceptable et semble être une arnaque flagrante pour soutirer plus d argent aux clients. Je déconseille fortement cette entreprise de location de voitures. Leur manque de transparence et leur rigidité dans l application de règles absurdes rendent le processus de location stressant et coûteux. Passez votre chemin et choisissez une autre compagnie de location qui respecte vraiment ses clients.

Aufgrund eines Bunchungsfehler bei einem anderen Anbieter standen wir am Flughafen ohne Mietwagen. Bei Madeira Rent haben wir innerhalb von 10 Minuten einen Mietwagen im Top Zustand erhalten. Die Rückgabe und das Fahrzeug ließen keine Wünsche offen, deshalb 5/5 Sterne. Würde immer wieder hier buchen und jedem weiterempfehlen!

Their staff read and copied card details, including CVV, which is insecure. We requested minivan with the ability to remove seats and put mattresses, they gave us 6 seat car instead without ability to remove seats, nor to put mattresses. They show signature document before giving full information on specific car rental, so person does not suspects any bad to happen ahead of time. Car was given with scratch and deformation of right back door. On windows were dirty from fat on hands which makes me doubt about how clean car is.

Alles war super. Wir hatten zuerst einen VW T-Roc. Damit waren wir nicht so zufrieden, wir haben nach ein paar Tagen problemlos ein anderes Auto erhalten.

We hebben de auto 4 dagen gehuurd en we hebben geen problemen gehad. Ook met ophalen en inleveren ging zonder problemen. Het is een mooie en schone auto.

Worst car rental experience ever. We got an old car with a punctured leaking tire. We picked the car up at Funchal airport at 01:30 AM. Had to pay an additional 70 euro for the late hours and 200 euro for something else. The warning light for airpresure was yellow. Ther were no one of the rental company people to make a complaint to. We drove of and filled all the tires with sufficient pressure. And hoped it would be a sensor fault. The next day we refilled air and noticed it still had been leaking. When we contacted Madeira rental they wanted to charge us another 600 euro for a new car. The lady at the car rental was utterly rude and treated us as criminals. We had to get the tire repaired by our self.

Très très très mauvaise expérience : surfacturation, personne a laccueil très désagréable ne laissant pas le temps de lire les documents, absence de badge dans la voiture permettant de sortir du parking (très désagréable quand on est forcé de rester sur le parking pendant plus dune heure à 2h30 du matin). Aucun dédommagement accordé !!! Bref, je ne recommande absolument pas. ... 2 ans après, RIEN malgré la réponse du Madeira Rent me demandant de les contacter ; je crois que lon peut dire que je naurai jamais de dédommagement !

Total unkompliziert und schnell! Ausborgen und zurück bringen hat vielleicht 10min gedauert. Sehr freundliches personal. Das auto war in einem super zustand - fast neu, kaum kilometer. Hatten einen VW golf, der für die Straßen super geeignet war. Würden dort wieder unser Mietauto buchen!

We booked Madeira Rent because it was the official partner of MIUT race. We had to wait 50 minutes to get our car because the car was not prepared. They did not provided any prior damage evaluation of the car. When we dropped off the car in the exact same conditions they annotated it has some scratches but when we were already flying back, not bringing back the depot of 100 euros and falsifying our check in signature for the check out ( that is completely illegal). We address them by email without any answer one week after. So if you don t want to deal with this situation on holidays I strongly not recommend this car rental.

I would highly recommend Madeira Rent for your rental car. They have a fun selection of cars, including automatic. Everyone we interacted with at MR was fantastic, friendly, and accommodating. I made an error on my booking, but David, Laura, and their colleagues helped to fix my mistake and get us our desired car dropped to our hotel. The car was clean and perfect to drive around the island. Will definitely rent from them again next time we visit.

Ive rented a car through an agency, my request was fulfilled through Madeirarent.pt. My initial request was for a small car (Clio or alike, with GPS), but I was delighted by the Ford Puma Ive received. The car had an engine well fit for the roads of Madeira (likely 155hp or more, with Mild Hybrid boost),with very low mileage, basically like new. I was very pleased by the service and the experience provided by the car itself. As a Ford owner, I was very familiar to many of Pumas controls. After returning the key and card to the box in the airport, Ive got my credit card refunded very quickly (less than 24h) Highly recommended!

Madeira rent heeft ons een prima auto verhuurd. Vlotte service en geen gezeur over extra verzekeringen of iets dergelijks. Wel nog een tip: Madeira heeft behoorlijk steile wegen, een auto met te weinig pk s rijdt niet prettig!

got this via a travel booking site, and ended up having to top up for their zero excess rental cover. Tip: just buy their full cover onsite! That said, we enjoyed our rental: pick up is right at the exit from baggage. We booked and received an A200 after reading reviews of Madeira s roller coaster roads and didn t regret it. While the kit was basic, the control, acceleration and reverse cam were integral to our good time on Madeira. Bonus: the charging ports are USB C. Minor gripe: the car didn t have CarPlay and the map wasn t that updated, so we couldn t get to some newer places without somehow balancing with Google Maps. Returns at 2PM were easy due to the car park layout. We were good to go in 5 minutes. Reading other reviews: I didn t clean the car, but it wasn t that wet when we were there. I imagine we left some mud from shoes, but that wasn t an issue for them. We saw other nice models available too at return. Would recommend. Thank you for the lovely time :) My license was from Singapore and in English. No need for IDP (despite what portugals websites say)

The gentleman said the would update the rental car automatic to get a more powerful engine but this meant we got a bigger car which with the tiny roads in the all city s and trying to park was a disaster we returned the car the next day they also went over nothing on the car other than where it was located in the rental parking lot.

Madeira Rent exceeded our expectations. We had a problem with our rental car on the last day of our trip and Mr Gonçalof came to us within a few minutes and was able to solve our problems.

Nightmare experience with Madeira rent. They provided a terrible car rental experience. They were unprofessional, demanded unjustified payments, and left us stranded when the car malfunctioned. Despite our pleas for help, they never called us back and charged us for services we never received. Avoid Madeira Rent at all costs they dont care about customers and their service is a nightmare.

I had an incredibly unsatisfactory experience with Madeira Rent. Not only did they fail to provide any assistance when needed, but upon returning home, I was shocked to discover an additional charge of 360 euros for absolutely nothing. I will not be using their services ever again.

Car was not in great shape. Brakes squeaked loudly. Clutch and gears were very unsmoot. I returned the car via the drop box and over a day later they havent closed out the case. They suggested I buy the full insurance even though I had already paid for full insurance through the rental broker. My bad that I didnt note this but they shouldnt have sold the package to me.

Arriviamo in aeroporto alle 22 e al ritiro auto non cè anima viva. Entro in arroporto e trovo due commessi, mi spiegano che lauto che avevo affittato non è disponibile (perché?) e mi hanno fatto un upgrade senza costi aggiuntivi ma mi obbligano a pagare unassicurazione sulla macchina di 180 dato che non ho abbastanza credito sulla carta (10.000 , a cosa gli servono? Boh), non avendo scelta la pago. Ricevo una mini cooper rossa che fin da subito dà problemi con limpianto a olio, segnalando con spia gialla la mancanza di olio. Proseguo nei successivi 7 giorni a lamentarmi di questa cosa con lasistenza, portando foto e video della spia, mi mandano da un distributore per fare laggiunta dellolio (FOLLIA) dove aspetto circa 1 ora mentre loro sono al telefono con il meccanico. Mi dice semplicemente che il problema è dellaltitudine e che quindi non mi devo proccupare. Perfetto ma la spia continua a esserci, il tutto continua finché al penultimo giorno, non volevo rischiare si rimanere a piedi prima di prendere laereo, faccio altre 2 ore di macchina tra andata e ritorno per raggiungere lunica officina di madeira rent in tutta lisola dove mi fanno questa maledetta aggiunta di olio. Ma farlo prima costava tanto? Svegliaaaaaaaaaaaaa

We hebben via Sunny card geboekt en kwamen bij Madeira Rent terecht. Super snelle en fijne service. Bij het ophalen van de auto kregen we een aanbod om een Mercedes te boeken. Wat upselling wat er bij hoort. Een simpele nee was voldoende. Verder ook geen gedoe over een verzekering. Ik heb ook een pre paid creditcard, meneer gaf aan dat een normale creditcard nodig was. Wij zijn er daarna niet meer over begonnen en meneer ook niet en we kregen de auto gewoon mee. We hadden een kleine automaat en hebben heerlijk gereden door de bergen en Funchal. Auto inleveren ging ook prima. Snelle controle, sleutels inleveren en borg ophalen. Aanrader!
