Excellent service from Perola Rent a Car. We walked in to rent without a booking. Got an almost new Mitsubishi Colt (Renault Clio) with Apple Car play (easy navigation) on a 2 day hire fully insured for just €100. Toured the island easily, the car was immaculate in every way. Great service and advice. Thanks!
Renting a car went perfectly good. We reserved the car about a month in advance. We also made the payment online. Unfortunately, the confirmation email about the car reservation didn't arrive, but the communication before the rent a car was fast. We received the car which we reserved, clean and with an explanation of other information. The return without any request took place according to the agreement at the hotel (just give the key at the reception). We were very satisfied with the price and the car at all. From our own experience, we recommend renting a car with an automatic transmission and that it should be driven by a driver who already has some driving experience, because driving in Madeira is rather hard ;)
Very good local rental car company! I did set up everything online with no problem, and I just showed up at their office and was good to go with no lines and no wasting my time. The guy explained everything so clearly and I was happy to have a car with full coverage for an affordable price. 100% recommended

Very happy with the Perola services. We booked and paid a car in advance from home and when we got to Madeira everything was ready. There were no hidden fees, nothing extra to pay, just signed everything and took the keys. We liked the fact that the car was the one that we selected, but we know the models can change. This little car took us everywhere we wanted on the island with its little engine. Be careful that there are not so many gas stations outside the bigger cities, so make sure to refill once you reach half a tank. We stayed at the Melia Mare hotel and we could use the underground hotel parking for free, only with the room card. Enjoy!
Very happy with the service, they were very helpful, very friendly and very professional. The car was very nice, clean and in good condition. 1 to 10 I will give it 11, for the service provided and the car it self. We rented a car but when we came to pick it up they said that it had to be repaired so they offered us to give us our money back or to take another car. We wanted automatic car but since it was repairing we had to take another car which was manual. That was okay we didn’t mind that much. The day after that we picked up the car that we originaly wanted to. Both cars were new, clean and very nice. On the last day we asked where should we leave the car at the airport since we paid some extra money to leave it at the airport. They responded that we have to pay additional 45€ because we told them last minute. They were very responsive and when we asked them to check again they saw that we payed for the airport pick up and collected the car there. Little bit sloppy service but in the end everything turned out okay.

Hat alles super geklappt und man musste keine Kaution hinterlegen. Wir haben 300 Euro für eine Woche im Januar gezahlt und konnten als Gäste des Melia Hotels den Schlüssel einfach an der Rezeption abgegeben ohne lästige Kontrollen! Gerne wieder :)
It couldnt be better. A recent car with more than enough power to handle the roads of Madeira. The team is always available and responds quickly. I recommend it. The best quality/price ratio on the island.
Wir hatten Anfang November für 5 Tage einen Smart fortwo Cabrio. Das Auto war in einem top Zustand . Keine Selbstbeteiligung - keine Kaution - keine Abzocke. Es lief alles total problemlos und unkompliziert. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr sehr nett und sprachen super englisch. Wir würden diese Autovermietung auf jeden Fall immer weiterempfehlen . Alles Super !!!!!!
Wir haben hier für 4 Tage ein Auto gemietet. Online war keins mehr verfügbar, sind dann gut Glück zum Geschäft und haben dort nach toller Beratung ein Mitsubishi Colt geliehen. 50 pro Tag mit Versicherung. Das Auto war perfekt für Madeira, klein aber mit Power. Genug für die Berge und klein genug für jede Parklücke. Den Schlüssel konnten wir im Melia Mare Hotel abgeben (waren dort Gäste). Super unkompliziert! Kann ich nur empfehlen, gerade wenn man Gast im Melia Hotel ist!

Muy profesionales, atentos y amables, nos ayudaron con todo lo que necesitábamos. Incluso nos ayudaron a colocar el gps en el carro y nos explicaron su funcionamiento. El carro estaba en perfectas condiciones y no tuvimos ningún problema con el. Cuando regresemos a la isla volveremos a rentar con ellos.

We rented a Skoda Fabia for 5 days, the car is almost new, low mileage, clean and efficient. Very nice service. We chose the location closest to the hotel and it was a good choice. Deserved high ratings from other customers. I recommend. We paid 300 with full insurance. I recommend.
Excelente serviço. A comunicação com a empresa foi muito fácil. O preço foi mais baixo que outras empresas que consultei. A entrega da viatura muito prática. O carro era excelente, novo e extremamente limpo. Os responsáveis são extremamente simpáticos e atenciosos. Não podia ter corrido melhor!

Gutes Auto, guter Preis, keine Probleme
Super Service, klappt alles schnell und ohne Probleme. Autos Neu und in gutem Zustand. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und sprechen gut Englisch. Sehr gute Versicherung für das Auto für nur einen kleinen Aufpreis.
Mesmo tendo só feito a reserva uns dias antes, trataram de tudo de maneira a que estivesse tudo bem preparado e pronto a levantar o carro assim que chegasse. Carro muito limpo e bem tratado. Processo burocrático muito rápido e sem complicações. Senti sempre grande simpatia e disponibilidade por parte do staff. Um daqueles serviços em que se cada parte cumprir com o acordado e respeitar, não haverá nenhuma complicação. Vou recomendar e, caso volte, será aqui a minha primeira escolha.

Fantastic rental company, full professionalism. We drove a Fiat Tipo in a car for 5 days, it was fine - I recommend it for the local hills I think we have to go back to Madeira, we ran out of time for some attractions.

Super unproblematische Mietwagenbuchung! Wir waren vor Ort und hatten das Glück einen sehr neuwertigen und gut gepflegten automatik Mietwagen zu buchen. Der Herr der uns betreute war sehr nett und durch genug Kommunikation auch äußerst hilfsbereit! Durch die nahe Lage zum Hotel bot er uns an das Auto dort abzustellen und es dort auch wieder zu holen, was uns sehr entgegen kam. Und weil wir es erst abends brauchten, die Abholung zu dem Zeitpunkt aber nicht möglich war, stellte er es uns ohne Aufpreis bereits mittags zur Verfügung. Wir waren sehr dankbar für diese problemlose Übergabe und der Preis war ebenfalls sehr in Ordnung!
Staffs foram muito proativos em conseguir reserva de ultima hora, facilidade e profissionalismo na entrega e recolha da viatura. Viatura em ótimas condições e muito bem cuidada. Sem falar na simpatia como sempre do Madeirense. Pérola saved our holidays with a car on short notice! Very nice people with fair prices. We could even extend the rental spontaneous and the return was easy. They even gave us good recommendations for restaurants near by. I can highly recommend these guys and would always come back!
J ai loué une Smart Fortwo Cabrio pour mon court séjour à madère (5 jours). Expérience exceptionnelle, la voiture est remis à l aéroport avec soin et un accueil chaleureux. La voiture était impeccable et correspondait à mes attentes, le personnel a été à l écoute de mes besoins et ils ne se sont pas trompés ! J ai pu également restituer la voiture à l aéroport ce qui m a permis de profiter un maximum de mon séjour. Je recommande vivement pour le niveau de service, prix et disponibilité du personnel. Encore merci à eux !

I found Perola sticker on my car rented with another company. They removed the sticker and put their own. Thats not the way of advertising your company!

We can only recommend Madeiran Rent a Car. They are very friendly, gave us info about which roads are closed as the Madeiran rally took place during our trip, they even provided us with a map where everything was highlighted. The car was great as well and reasonably priced. When we had some issues they answered the phone straight away and helped us. If we ever visit Madeira again we will rent here again :)
