Highly recommend this place to rent a car. Prices are so low. And the staff is very friendly. Car was ok, we didn't have any problem with it. Most important for us was the fact that with the full insurance they do not ask you for a deposit.
Great experience with 7M. Booked a car for the same day & dropped off with ease. Lots of cars to chose from & the Kia Rio we had was a great little car. The staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend!
DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE!!! We got the car back unfortunately 50 minutes late because we got problems fiding a gas station. The lady started to shout with us immediately trough the phone that we must pay 100 euro penalty, and an extra single day with insurance, even if we had the car for 4 days. We arrived with the car 2 minutes after the call, and after we mentioned that we won’t pay 140 euros because of this 50 minutes late, the lady started to shout more loud that she’s calling the police, and pointing in our faces with her finger. We paid the amount then, after that the lady blamed us about a previous damage on the car. Fortunately there were photos of the car. Speechless behaviour, never experienced something like that.
We got a car with the broken battery and the engine light on at the beginning. After 30min parking the car wouldn’t start again. We have been trying to call for the 50min to the car assistance/ insurance numbers provided by 7m. After almost one hour the person from Logistic Center in Funchal finally pick up the phone saying that he will „help” with sending assistance to us and charging us only 122 euro for that. The staff came but they couldn’t start the car. We have been told that the battery is old and has to be exchange but they cannot do anything to help us as they have been told by the boss that we need to be charged 122euro even if it’s not our fault. We have movies and pictures which proves that we got damaged car but even so the company is not giving us money back or another car. We have paid for 4 days renting a car and for that we have been left with nothing, only lost of time, nervous and money on the vacation. I truly recommend to stay away from 7m car rental company because even if you pay 20eur insurance for day you will be left with nothing if you will get damaged car from the beginning from them and try to get some help in case of something happens. The guy from the logistic center is rude and hanging up the phone and the lady from the car rental company is saying it’s not up to her to make decisions. You will go round in the circles just wasting your energy instead of having fun on the vacation. Long story short STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHEATERS AND THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't rent anything from this place. I rent a smart fortwo and when I started the car the check engine light was on. On confronted the woman and she told me everything is okay, the car was checked at the mechanic and it was working as it should. (Have it on video, so they can't run from the truth) The next morning the car starteds and we went to a Harbour nearby. Ater being there for around 25 minutes we wanted to go the the next point but the car couldn't start. We called the assistance for around 25 times before picking up the phone and told us in the phone we forgot to turn the light off, so the battery was dead. We'll, the car have auto light switch so didn't touch it at all. So bravo, he must be the best mechanical in the world if he can see it through the phone. But he wanted 122euro to send someone to Jumpstart the car. I told him that it's not out fault the battery or maybe the starter is dead, but he said we had to pay or take the car from us. We denied so he took the car. I have videos as proof that even the assistance couldn't start the car and they gave up. We took a bolt back to the office but they didn't provide any help at all, just saying I'm a seller and not my responsibility. I have a 8 minute video of that too. So 7m can't say I'm lying, everything is recorded and all WhatsApp messages are saved.
Great rental car place. I went in late at 6:40pm after getting cancelled by Avis from the airport and passing more than 10 other rental car places that were closed or denied me. They helped me get a rental car quickly and for a great price! Awesome customer service!
The car we booked and paid for months ago was not available. Turns out it has been waiting for repair for weeks or one week or was it only for a day. Stories don't match. They preferred to wait that we show up to tell us. No discount on the alternative smaller car when we refused the upgrade. Fast forward 2hours after abundant correspondence with the central and discussions just to know how much money we would get back if renting a smaller car - you don't buy things you don't know the price of -, to be finally told that we'll only get a refund and no alternative car ... Appreciate the shop holders efforts however.
The staff was very nice and helpful. We rented an electric Fiat500 for two days. It was very good. The car charger web is enough good to go around the island with an electric car. I recommend this company for rent a car.

Wir haben bei 7m, ohne Reservierung, 2 Roller und 2 Autos (wetterbedingt) ausgeliehen. Alle Male lief es perfekt ab. Selbst als wir die 2 Roller für einen weiteren Tag reserviert hatten, es an dem dann aber regnete, war die Mitarbeiterin sehr bemüht unsere Reservierung in ein Auto umzumünzen, mit Erfolg. Als eins der Autos nicht ganz unseren Vorstellungen entsprach, konnten wir dies sogar reklamieren und haben innerhalb von 40 Minuten ein neues bekommen. Grundlegend haben uns alle ausgeliehenen Fahrzeuge sicher und zuverlässig von A nach B gebracht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die kompetente Mitarbeiterin Joana, die wirklich stets ihr bestes gegeben hat.

Super contenti della scelta fatta! La nostra 500 e il nostro scooter sono stati impeccabili. I ragazzi del noleggio sulle Estrada Monumental di Funchal gentilissimi, cordiali ed educati (in particolare modo la ragazza bionda). Siamo veramente felici di esserci affidati alla 7m! Unico piccolo appunto per la direzione, non lasciate da soli i ragazzi in negozio che hanno veramente tanto lavoro per stare dietro a tutti i clienti in entrata, uscita e telefonate! Ma nonostante questo sono sempre ineccepibili!
The first place we tried didnt have the type of scooter we wanted, so they recommended we walk a short way on to 7M Rent a car. Here we found exactly what we wanted, and the prices were very reasonable. Helmets were included, and there were a few sizes to choose from. We were attended to by a lovely young lady, Margarida, who we found very friendly and helpful, even though she seemed to be working alone. was *Very Busy!* We were given a quick demonstration of how everything on the scooter worked, and we were on our way. We returned the scooter later on the same day, and again enjoyed a quick, uncomplicated drop off, with a smile and friendly chat with Margarida. There are many places to rent a ride in Funchal, but we are very glad we found 7M.
What car rental horror stories are made of. Joanne was nothing short of maniacal. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. Strangely my earlier post went missing - I complained about this terrible company and their response was that my review was not verified because anyone can submit a review. They suggested I submit one via Trust Pilot but they never provided a link with an opportunity to do so. So here ive attached my rental car confirmation email and booking reference code. If I can spare just one person from having to go through what we endured, all of it will have been worth it. They claimed we left a mark on their car - something that was completely bogus and made up. They had no proof because they could not provide a photo that the mark did not exist prior to our renting it. We returned the car early and they said we hadnt filled the tank up to the exact right mark. So we offered to go and fill it up more and bring it right back - they told us it was impossible. Joanne screamed and yelled at us and was entirely nasty. We have submitted claims to the Portuguese complaint book, TripAdvisor, yelp, google, and directly to 7M. BEWARE!!!!

Véhicule réservé 1 mois avant. A notre arrivée le véhicule nest pas disponible et aucun véhicule similaire (Cabrio) nest disponible. Lagence nous propose une véhicule électrique et un boat trip ! Nous demandons le montant du remboursement si nous descendons de gamme, ils ne peuvent pas nous répondre, plus dune heure que nous attendons. Fuyez ! Suite à ce commentaire lentreprise répond que nous avons été horrible, si la personne qui a écrit ceci avait été présente, elle aurait constaté que nous somme resté zen et avons patienté 2 heures sans quon nous propyun café. Les gérants de cette entreprise sont des menteurs car ils nous ont écrit que le véhicule réservé a été endommagé la veille par un client tandis quà lagence ils nous ont dit que le véhicule était en panne depuis 2 semaines et quils attendaient une pièce depuis 1 semaine. Si ces gens avaient un minimum dhonnêteté et de professionnalisme ils nous auraient prévenu au moins la veille au de nous faire perdre en plus une demie journée de vacances. Heureusement leurs concurrents dans la même rue ont su nous trouver un Cabrio non électrique en urgence et moins cher. Entreprise malhonnête et menteuse, fuyez !
Wir haben kurzfristig 2 Scooter ausgeliehen und trotz vieler Probleme an diesem Tag (bei uns und auch bei anderen Kunden) waren alle im Laden von der Chefin bis zum Azubi ausnahmslos professionell, freundlich und sehr bemüht, es allen recht zu machen. Ich kann den Laden nur empfehlen!!!

Appalling service, booked car for pick up the following day. When we went to pick it up Had to wait an hour as only one person taking bookings with 2 trainees. Paid for both of us to drive and explained only one had our licence and one a picture of the licence . Made it very clear only had picture of licence and was told that was ok, only to be told the following day it wasn t. And wouldn t refund the extra 20 euros insurance. Car was battered with extremely squeaky breaks . Avoid if you value your time

Great holiday rent a car from 7m very good
Hired a car from here for three days, very efficient service from Joanna, thank you, car was great and got us around some of the very challenging roads to see some of the beautiful parts of this island.
Finger weg, lass euch nicht von dieser unseriösen Firma abzocken. 0 Stern wenn es gibt. - Absoluter Verbrecher mit ausgedachten Geschichten, um die Schuld den Kunden zuzuschieben. Bedrohung bei der Ablehnung - Inkompetenter Automechaniker. - Schlechte Kommunikation Wir haben spontan ein Smart für zwei Tage gemietet. Die Batterie im Auto war im demolierten Zustand. Wir sind 1h damit gefahren und haben 4 Stunden geparkt, sind danach ungefähr 10 Minuten weitergefahren. Dann kam die Warnung Bremseverkraftsverteilung ohne Funktion und Batterie 12V angezeigt. Die Bremse hat kaum funktioniert, mein Mann konnte gerade noch im vollen Verkehr anhalten und zur Seite parken. Sofort ihren 24/7 Service angerufen und sie haben einen inkompetenten angeblichen Automechaniker für 122 geschickt. Nur um zu checken, was das Problem ist und ohne bereits irgendwas vor Ort zu reparieren. (Eine Batterie zu wechseln, kann jeder Pannendienst gleich vor Ort machen kann). Anscheinend wusste er auch nicht genau was zu tun war, da er die ganze Zeit mit anderen gechattet hat. Das Auto haben sie dann abschleppen lassen. Das kostet nochmal 198 extra. Unsinnige Geschichten ausgedacht: Am Anfang, wo wir gesagt haben, dass die Bremsen nicht richtig funktionieren und die Warnung oben gesendet haben. Haben wir gleich die Antwort bekommen, dass wir wahrscheinlich die Bremse zu stark getreten haben, deswegen das Auto die Warnung angezeigt hat. Als der Mechaniker kam und feststellte, dass die Batterie tot ist, hat er behauptete, dass wir das Licht beim Parken angelassen haben und die Batterie dadurch leer ist und wir sind mit dem ausgeschalteten Motor dann den Berg runtergefahren (total lächerlich und unsinnig) deswegen funktionierte die Bremse nicht. Sie stellten gleich eine Rechnung von 928,53 aus( beinhaltet: Batterie Wechsel, Abschleppen, 5Tage nicht vermietungsmöglich durch Reparatur und den Mechaniker, der kam) Absoluter Verbrecher: Wir haben die Zahlung abgelehnt. Weil das ist ein technisches Problem ist und keine Beweise, dass wir das Licht nicht ausgeschaltet haben. Und selbst wenn das Licht für 4 Stunden an wäre, wäre die Batterie auch nicht gleich leer. Die unfreundliche Mitarbeiterin am Telefon hat den Chef gefragt, den den Preis auf 320 ( Kosten für Abschleppen und für den Mechaniker, was von dem leeren Batterie verursacht ist, und für das wir als Kunden nichts können) gesenkt und mit einer Drohung, wenn wir das nicht gleich zahlen würden, würden wir kein neues Auto für unseren Urlaub bekommen und das Geld wird trotzdem vom Deposit abgezogen. Schlechte Kommunikation: Bei der Abgabe wusste die Dame vom Standort nichts davon. Natürlich konnte sie als Angestellte dort auch nichts machen. Aber sie bleibt zumindest freundlich.
We rented a cute Honda scooter at a fair price, the manager at the place was very kind and honest, our experience was very good and we recommend it.
My partner and I rented a scooter and drove around the island and it was lovely, the scooter was new and clean, the service was excellent and there was no problem.

What a fantastic service from these Guys( Johana) sorry if I ve spelled that wrong. Very friendly and efficient. I hired a Yamaha 125cc Scooter for 6 Days and pretty much went most places on the island. Easy to ride very fuel efficient and simple to park. I ride a Yamaha at home Tenere 700. But all you need is a 125.Great Fun. And great price

Super friendly, very helpful staff. Hired a scooter and what a blast around Funchal up in the mountains here, there and back again. Thank you so much. Must let you know it takes some time for the deposit to be released back to your bank account. It took 10 days, and mine will be released tomorrow, thats 10 working days. If you are on a budget, think about that.

Zawsze mam obawy czy kontrakt na wypo yczenie samochodu jest uczciwy. To by pierwszy raz kiedy od wej cia i pierwszych s ów przemi ej Pani poczu em si bezpiecznie. Samochód wietny, nowy Ford Focus hybryda. Bez depozytu, ubezpieczony na wszystko (tylko za zgubienie kluczyka i mandaty trzeba samemu zap aci a reszta jest ubezpieczona). Cena? 30 % taniej ni w wypo yczalni po drugiej stronie ulicy czy w wypo yczalni rekomendowanej przez hotel. Zwrot samochodu bezproblemowy. Pani która mnie obs ugiwa a bardzo profesjonalna i pomocna. Da a np. rekomendacje restauracji i rzeczywi cie by y to znakomite wybory.
