Wir haben ein Auto über Check24 bei Abby Cars gebucht, vermittelt über Aurum Car und letztlich bei Amsterdam Car in Funchal abgeholt. Bei der Rückgabe des Clios ist der Mitarbeiter gezielt nach Vorne und hat uns auf einen Schaden an der Frontschürze hingewiesen - das restliche Auto hat ihn nicht interessiert. Kam uns schon merkwürdig vor. Wir haben den Schaden nicht verursacht, worauf er meinte es sei in Ordnung und hat den grünen Rückgabezettel unterschrieben. Zwei Wochen später wurden meiner Kreditkarte 610 belastet - ohne Angabe von Gründen. Nach 6 Wochen hat Check24 rausgefunden, dass es wegen dem Stoßfänger wäre. Wir sollten uns keine Gedanken machen, die Versicherung übernimmt den Schaden. Geld habe ich aber bis heute noch nicht zurück. Mittlerweile habe ich im Netz gelesen, dass auch 4-5 andere Kunden im Zeitraum Okt 24 - Dez 24 dieser Schaden am Fontschürze berechnet wurde. Achtung - absolute Abzocke des immer gleichen Schadens !

On m a débiter de l argent en fin de la location pour aucune raison sur mes 1000 bloqués au parking de l aéroport au début de la location, 366 en moins sur l argent bloqué une fois parti de Funchal

Am avut o experien extrem de nepl cut cu aceast firm de închirieri auto. Ma ina pe care am primit-o avea deja probleme la cutia de viteze, lucru pe care l-am sesizat imediat a doua zi, astfel am pierdut aproape o zi cu revenirea de la cazare la birou sa le predau masina, am r mas uimit ca stiau de aceasta problema. În plus, la predare, mi-au imputat pagube pe care nu le-am produs, de i am predat ma ina exact în starea în care am primit-o. O lips total de profesionalism i seriozitate! Nu recomand aceast firm nim nui, mai ales dac vre i s evita i astfel de probleme. La raspunsul dat de firma mentionez ca nimic nu e adevarat. Cutia de viteze r mânea blocata si dupa incercari mai multe reu eam s manevrez cutia de viteze, iar din corespondenta purtata pe Whatsapp mi-au cerut sa aduc ma ina la firma in ciuda problemelor avute, niciodata nu a fost vorba sa vina ei cu masina la schimb. Avoid this company. They will scam you. When you collect the car from the airport, they dont mark the damage on the rental agreement. When you return the car, they will say it looks ok, but that they need to check. Then they will claim you damaged the car, and charge your credit card without your consent. When you say dispute the charge, and ask for proof, they block you, and then start saying you didnt hire the car from them. You will see quite a few reviews whey they have done this. Do not use them. If you have been affected by this scam, and want to get together to take action against this company, let me know.

Fantastic, needed a car for one day. Thought I would be out of luck. They had a car available waiting outside. Dead easy to carry out the paperwork, quick walk round the car where they pointed out some small scratches and marked it on the paperwork. Next morning took the car back and again a quick walk round the car and the deposit was refunded. Car was a full and return full. Very good value.

Wie haben uns leider von den google Bewertung leiten lassen. Wir gaben das Auto sauberer und mit mehr Tankfüllung zurück. Leider wurde ein nicht sofort einsehbarer Schaden uns zugeschrieben, den wir nicht verursacht haben. Dies erklärte im Nachgang die fix und oberflächlich durchgeführte Übergabe. Sehr ärgerlich, aber leider haben nicht nur wir dies so erlebt.

The car was in a bad condition, the brakes were shaking a lot, the car was dirty, the windshield wipers were not working properly and the radio and air conditioning were not working properly. We picked up the car in Funchal, the handover went relatively smoothly, but unfortunately the rental company only kept a very superficial record and asked us to make a video of the car as proof of the existing damage. We dropped the car off at the airport, the handover was carried out by a man who did not give us any handover report, but he did discover damage to the front underside of the bumper, which was certainly already present when we were handed over, but to which the rental company paid no attention. Of course, we did not lie down under the car to check everything carefully (handover took place on a busy road) The end of the story was that 366 was subsequently deducted from my credit card without me even receiving a document describing how the sum was made up. The fuel regulation is also to the advantage of the rental company, you are supposed to leave the car half full. I CAN ONLY EXPRESSLY ADVISE AGAINST THIS RENTAL COMPANY, I CANNOT EXPLAIN THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. BE CAREFUL WHEN CHOOSING YOUR RENTAL CAR PROVIDER.

Avoid !!! , only gave one star becsuse i had to. A word of advice. I was charged £315 for so called damagei did. The day after car was returned, and it was inspected an ok,d. Only noticed when i got home and checked my statement. They see an opportunity to rip somebody off who will be out of country when they charge them and probaby wont bother with chasing it up. Notice they have changed company name again, i wonder why,?? Probably a good idea to put a freeze on your credit card when you drop car off if you are unfortunate enough to rent from them They also charge you if car is not returned clean, just normal use, not rally driving

No fuss and no nonsense car rental. My car was very nice and clean and perfect for the roads of Madeira. Reported the check engine light and they replaced it within an hour for a better one and extended my rental for a few hours as a gesture of goodwill.

Einfach perfekt! Kommunikation war ganz einfach über Whatsapp oder kurz am Telefon. Die Preise sind super fair und der Service ist klasse. Auch nachdem unser Heimflug abgesagt war, konnten wir sofort nochmals einen Mietwagen, bei Ihnen, buchen. Wir hatten insgesamt zwei Autos: Nissan Micra und Seat Ibiza Beide waren sehr gepflegt und haben uns keinerlei Probleme gemacht. Fazit: fair und sehr unkompliziert, freie Kilometer und voll versichert.

We rented a Skoda Fabia automatic for 4 days. The car was very new and in a perfect condition. No hidden cost, no deposit and full insurance. Paperwork was done in less than 5 minutes and we could return the car in the airport for extra 15 euros. The owner was waiting for us and we just handed the key. It took few seconds only :) Everything was super fast and easy. I recommend to rent an automatic car to drive around Madeira. I m very happy with this rental company, thank you! :)

Unfortunately gonna have to give it 3 stars. Could have been 5 stars if they were more professional. Prior to arriving everything was perfect with no fault. Upon collection I was told that if we scratch the car as an example by parking and banging the door on the wall, it would cost me 200 even though the rental was full insurance as agreed by WhatsApp messages. Was told fuel was full and had to return full which is the norm, but found the car was just over half full, did let the know and they agreed same to same. The car was an ok car for the price cant complain. We requested a child seat but this was not fitted properly and security belt was damaged had to improvise as couldnt be bothered to get a new one. Upon arrival was told that I was obliged to wash the car inside, that outside was not needed but inside it was, which makes absolutely no sense, didnt even bother to argue against it as they never took a deposit from me as I paid cash, so how they going to enforce the 200 if I had scratched the car or to wash the car I have no clue. Also but sad that the employees cant try to speak Portuguese, your in Portugal at least try to understand the language. For these reasons I dont think Ill be renting again.. Update 1. Previous users of the car seat had removed the tightening belt which is meant to be in the middle in between the cushions through the legs, so you can push to tighten the belt around the child and stay secure, you will notice I had to knot it at the back to prevent becoming loose. 2. At the office I was told the fuel was full when it wasnt, thats exactly what I wrote above and why we had WhatsApp conversation. 3. No car rental in Madeira asks to wash the car, I didnt give the car clean but I didnt give it back filthy, it was dusty normal usage its Madeira country side with mountains it aint going to be spotless and never was told to wash it by any other companies in 20 years renting. Its just the normal. 4. I did change the times as plans had changed but you saying you never charged extra is not true when previously was 320 and with the change was 330 I happily paid and accepted. Why you would say this as if you did it for free is a bit unprofessional, I could show you WhatsApp messages. 5. I have every right to point about the language, made no effort to speak Portuguese and actually stated you dont understand or speak.

We booked a car for 6 days in Madeira, upon arriving at the for seen hour the car wouldn t ignite. We got a free upgrade to a stronger and better car, which we much enjoyed on the rough terrain of Madeira.

I rented a car twice with them, it is very easy you just pay at the arrival, no caution or whatever. The cars are quite new and in good state which is nice to drive. Alex is very nice and helpful. I totally recommend to rent your car here in Madeira. Ill continue to rent here for my future vacations

Hoe dit bedrijf aan 5sterren komt uit zoveel reviews is toch een vraag. Via whatsapp maanden ervoor overeen gekomen voor auto te huren voor een week met volledige verzekering. We hebben al zoveel auto s gehuurd en nemen altijd een volledige verzekering. Nu bij aankomst in madeira wij waren iets vroeger door rug wind hebben daar meer dan 30 min gewacht op de auto. Eenmaal de auto er dan was moesten wij van alle schade foto s nemen? Wat wij nog NOOIT hebben moeten doen bij een volledige verzekering! Wij vonden dit raar maar hebben het dan toch maar gedaan omdat zo snel mogelijk naar het hotel wouden. Zelf zeggen ze als je de deur bv krast bij parkeren je 200 moet betalen.. helemaal geen volledige verzekering dus!Door dit alles meer dan 1u aan de luchthaven verloren. Ook was de benzine tank niet helemaal vol waardoor het bijna onmogelijk is om hem met het zelfde niveau terug te geven! En zij dus bijna altijd winst hebben.

Easiest car rental process I have ever been through. Clara and Alex were so kind. My flight was delayed 12 hours, making my arrival very late at night, but they were both totally understanding and more than happy to accommodate. That kind of customer service is hard to find these days and makes all the difference. The car itself was exactly as promised and served me very well for my two weeks on the island. We had an amazing experience with Amsterdamrentacar. Even though they are based in Funchal, they let us pick up our rental car at the airport free of charge. There was no deposit to be paid and the cleaning fee was very cheap. After scrolling through the vast majority of rentals in Madeira, we thought this was the best in terms of services and had the best rates too. Everything was free of hassle, done via Whatsapp. We would definitely come back to them if we ever return!

We rented a Seat Arona with a manual for 4 days without a deposit and with insurance. I recommend this car rental!!! The car did not disappoint. The roads are difficult, the entire island is on serpentines and the climbing angle is difficult almost everywhere, so it will be difficult for inexperienced people.

Nous avons loué une Seat Ibiza une semaine pour un tarif très compétitif assurances incluses et kilométrage illimité. La voiture était récente et avait une bonne puissance pour les montées de Madère. Gros avantage : pas besoin dune carte de crédit, une carte de débit suffit, autres moyens de paiement acceptés. Les formalités sont simplifiées au checkin et au checkout. Toute la communication, qui peut paraitre au premier abord un peu sommaire, est très efficace et se fait par WhatsApp avec une excellente réactivité. On conseille à 100% !

I did my car reservation and I choose the airport for pick-up location. When I arrive to the airport, I msg them, and I got a fast reply with a picture of the car I was renting. Exactly what was previously said. Getting the car it was a very pleasant and fast transaction. The only thing I didnt know (maybe it was state in their website and i didnt read it), before renting it, but i was inform about it when I got the car, it is that you have to clean the car before returning it, or you will be charge a fee. My car was very small and I am not messy so it took me 10 minutes total to get it clean. It is not a big inconvenience, but something you may not want to forget. My experience with this company was great! I highly recommend it!

Súper transparentes a la hora de ver si el auto tenía algún desperfecto previo. Best car rental experience I have ever had. I filled out the online form and was contacted immediately via whatsapp. I let them know what I was looking for and asked for a price, very reasonable. I let them know my flight info and someone was waiting in arrivals with my car when I landed. Super easy process, they wrote down my license info etc., and I was out of the airport in 5 minutes. Drop off was just as easy. Highly recommend - don t go with a big name - Amsterdam rent a car is the BEST! Every time i messaged i got a response almost immediately!

We are really thankful that we got our car from Amsterdamrentcar during our holiday in Madeira. Ich habe online bei Check24 einen Kleinwagen gebucht. Einen Tag vor der Leihe meldete sich der Verleiher per Whatsapp und erkundigte sich, ob wir Hilfe benötigen. Das Geschäft wird familiär geführt. All went very smooth without any hidden extras. The car was ready when we arrived and delivered by the very friendly and helpful manager. The car was in perfect condition and we enjoyed traveling the island with it. Dropoff was as easy as pick-up, all smooth and very friendly without hassle. The pick-up of the car went smoothly and the car was brought directly to the hotel. Alex and Clara were very friendly, the even provided us a Child seat. If we return for holiday, we well definitely contact them again and we can highly recommend Amsterdamrentacar Madeira.

Wir wollten uns spontan für ein paar Tage ein Auto leihen um auf eigene Faust die Insel etwas zu erkunden. Die positiven Bewertungen sowie die Nähe zu unserem Hotel haben uns dann zu Amsterdamrentacar geführt. Kurz nachdem wir per WhatsApp den Kontakt aufgenommen haben, kam dann ein Mitarbeiter ins Office und wir konnten die weiteren Sachen klären. Der Mitarbeiter war sehr nett und hat einem auch keine lästigen Zusatzversicherungen oder Ähnliches angedreht. Wir haben uns dann für 3 Tage einen Renault Clio gemietet der ausreichend für die teilweise sehr steilen Steigungen auf Madeira war. Das Auto war sauber und der Tank war zu 1/4 gefüllt. Allgemein sollte man aber evtl. etwas erweiterte Erfahrung im Autofahren mitbringen, um die teilweise steilen Anstiege und engen Straßen sicher meistern zu können. Alles in Allem lief alles super einfach und schnell. Wir konnten mit dem Auto die Insel super erkunden und können die Amsterdamrentacar Autovermietung definitiv weiterempfehlen! Preis/Leistung sowie die schnelle und sehr nette Kontaktaufnahme einfach Top!

Alles problemlos über WhatsApp...Auto wurde pünktlich zum Hotel gebracht, Übergabe hat keine fünf Minuten gedauert. Es wurde auch zur abgemachten Zeit wieder abgeholt und die Übergabe dauerte keine Minute. Bei Fragen waren sie jederzeit erreichbar und eine Antwort kam immer sehr schnell. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich Zehn Sterne geben...Ich gebe zwei mal 5 Madeira = Only AMSTERDAMRENTACARMADEIRA! For me it is the best car rental company on the island. Super nice and very friendly contact. Everything went smoothly via WhatsApp... The car was brought to the hotel on time, handover took less than five minutes. It was picked up again at the agreed time and the handover took less than a minute. If you had any questions, you could reach them at any time and an answer always came very quickly. If I could, I would give ten stars...I give twice 5.

Alex and Clara were extremely helpful. From the beginning, they provided us with a car (a new one to be more precise) on very short notice. They dropped it off at our hotel upon our arrival. Neither a deposit nor any extra insurance was required. We rented the car 7 days and they provided a very good price. The car was in very good condition. I would fully recommend anybody looking to rent a car in Madeira to rent from them. Thank you once again Alex and Clara! :)
