Ich kann mich den schlechten Bewertungen nicht anschließen. Wir kamen durch Check24 zu Drive on holidays und wurden trotz des überaus günstigen Preises (23 für drei Tage auf Madeira) nicht enttäuscht; obwohl wir skeptisch waren. Ja, es wurde versucht, uns eine Versicherung anzubieten, doch wusste ich ja, dass wir abgesichert waren und habe abgelehnt. - Kein Problem - Alle Autos auf dem Hof waren neueren Baujahres und sauber. Unser Kia Rio hatte sogar Rückfahrkamera, Android Auto, Spurhalteassistent und kam mit den engen steilen Straßen ganz gut zurecht. (Ein paar PS mehr wären natürlich gut gewesen, doch dann stimmt der Preis nicht mehr.) Eine lange Einweisung gab es nicht, doch wenn ich Fragen gehabt hätte, glaube ich nicht, dass sich jemand aus dem jungen Team geweigert hätte. Die Rückgabe war in knapp 5 Minuten erledigt. Wir wurden umgehend zum Flughafen zurückgefahren. Gerne wieder!

Von A wie Abholung bis Z wie Zurückgabe des Fahrzeugs hat alles wunderbar funktioniert, inkl des Transfers vom und zum Flughafen. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder ein Auto mieten.

Je déconseille ++ de louer une voiture dans cette franchise!! Nous avions réservé une voiture pour 5 personnes au mois de septembre via booking où nous avions pris en plus une assurance à 84 . Nous avions également pris nos précautions et avions vérifié que notre carte était bien une carte de crédit et pas que débit pour la caution. Arrivées sur place, on nous demande de laisser une caution par empreinte de carte de plus 1000 ou de payer une assurance sans prise d empreinte. Nous choisissons donc de laisser notre empreinte ayant déjà l assurance. Rien de fonctionne, la carte ne passe pas. Aucune aide proposée par l équipe présente si ce n est de payer l assurance à 283 en plus des 300 de location déjà payés. Refus catégorique de l équipe d essayer de laisser une empreinte avec une autre carte sous prétexte que ce n est pas la carte du conducteur principal et refus de changer ce dernier. Nous nous retrouvons donc à payer l assurance en plus et avons donc une location à plus de 500 au lieu de 300 CE N EST PAS FINIT!! L assurance nous couvrait pour tout dommage de carrosserie. À la réception du véhicule le personnel nous dit donc qu il n y a pas besoin d état des lieux. Sentant l arnaque on prend plein de photos et vidéos et on a bien fait!!! Au retour il commence à faire le tour du véhicule méticuleusement et nous souligne la présence d une rayure heureusement nous avions les preuves de sa présence initiale sinon c était encore pour notre poire. Bref, une location qui a coûté cher et une franchise pas très commerciale ni sérieuse malgré le bon état du véhicule.

Everything was arranged as agreed, with good information in advance. Shuttle bus easy to know and find. It was very busy at pick up time but the staff worked hard to make things go smoothly. The drop off went quickly.

Auto otrzymali my lepsze ni w zamówieniu. Praktycznie nowe. Przy odbiorze nikt nie szuka na si uszkodze auta by naliczy dodatkowe op aty. Bardzo szybki zwrot depozytu. Najlepsza wypo yczalnia a mia em kontakt ju z kilkunastoma. Polecam!

Bei uns lief alles super. Der Transfer-Bus könnte etwas größer sein. Aber da man bei der Ankunft am Flughafen direkt von einem Mitarbeiter der Autovermietung in Empfang genommen wurde, belasse ich es bei 5 Sternen .

Service Top. Hilfsbereit auch. Versicherung vor Ort oder selber machen, dan hast kein Problem.

Hat alles gepasst bei Abholung und Rückgabe

Attention de bien vérifier l état des freins avant de partir. Nous avons loué une voiture dans cette agence en passant par la plate-forme EasyJet. Durant notre séjour un bruit impressionnant s est produit au niveau des roues, on s arrête dans un garage pour demander de l aide. Résultat plus de plaquettes de freins, véhicule immobilisé sans pouvoir repartir. Le temps de repartir à l agence grâce à un taxi, expliquer les problèmes à celle-ci et attendre qu il s assure que le problème ne vient pas de nous, nous avons perdu 1/2 journée. Le comble s est qu ils ont facturé le plein au prix fort, sachant que nous n avions plus moyen de repartir pour le faire avec notre véhicule en panne .

We rented a car and made a reservation ahead of time. Their shuttle bus from the airport to their rental location is an absolute disorganized mess with people waiting in line for their turn, while people just arriving get bumped ahead. For example, after waiting for 2 of their shuttles, we were told we were next on the list only to be told by the driver of the next shuttle they did not have us. Once we finally arrived at the location, us and dozens of others who had reservations waited over an hour for our cars. It s a total disorganized mess. For example, they continued to bus in customers every ten minutes while **maybe** getting 1 customer into their cars every ten minutes. Additionally, they had multiple employees focusing on tasks that were not priority. This place needs actual management, structure and a strategy because they seemed to just be reacting and incapable for anticipating problems and solutions.

Ich war positiv überrascht. Keine lange Wartezeit, freundlicher Service, gute Autos. Tatsächlich hat alles gepasst.

Be aware and NEVER take the car here! We ve been waiting for the shuttle for about 40 minutes with two children! Then the driver took other persons who came after us!!! And he roughly pulled our things out of the luggage compartment!!!

There was nothing wrong with the car, but I have not received the deposit back to this day. Ive written many emails about this already, but Im tired of it. I am contacting the authorities. Nobody should rent a car from here!!

Très mécontente de ce loueur qui vous oblige à prendre une assurance supplémentaire (226 de plus)qui double le prix de la location alors que j avais déjà souscrit une assurance avec AXA au moment de la réservation avec Easyjet location de véhicules. If you are wondering about some of the negative reviews on here: Credit cards - It is (or should be) well known that in the rental car industry WORLDWIDE - you need a credit card to rent a car. A debit card is not a credit card. AMEX - It is (or should be) well known that anywhere outside of the US that AMEX is not always widely accepted. I live in the UK and AMEX is never widely accepted. Deposit / Excess - As with EVERY rental car company, a deposit/excess applies. Drive On Holidays DO NOT hide this from anyone. If a customer fails to read their rental terms before they arrive that is not the fault of the rental car company. My deposit was 2700 - yes it is quite high but its a deposit for a reason. Youre not hiring a book from a library you are renting a car on an island with narrow, steep mountainous roads.

Falls du denkst, bei der Autovermietung auf Madeira ein Schnäppchen gemacht zu haben, haben die erleuchteten Mitarbeiter von Drive On Holidays eine Überraschung parat: Eine Kaution von 7.100 Euro! Natürlich nur als Sicherheitsbeitrag , und selbstverständlich nur, wenn du zufällig eine PASSENDE Kreditkarte mit Riesenlimit hast (Debit VISA? Obrigado nein! American Express? Desculpa. Maestro - No no!). Aber keine Sorge, die Fachkräfte von Drive On Holidays haben einen Plan B: Für das Dreifache des ursprünglichen Mietpreises lässt sich eine Zusatzversicherung abschließen eine Empfehlung des Hauses, die man nicht ablehnen kann. Eine klasse Versicherung (ohne Dach, Reifen, Unterböden, ohne Felgen, Reifen nicht drin, Innenraum leider auch nicht versichert). Und was ist jetzt mit den gerade abgelehnten Kredikarten? SEM PROBLEMA - dafür akzeptieren wir sie gerne. Und der Wagen, den wir erhielten, war ein Prachtstück von Auto : mit mindestens sechs Mängeln, die zum Glück zur Hälfte dokumentiert waren. Interessiert das die Jungstars der Autovermietung. Keineswegs - erst bei der Rückgabe. OBRIGADO! Und die Krönung der orange gekleideten Supertalente: Eine Flut an negativen Bewertungen ist vollkommen egal!! UND Holidaycheck, Mietwagencheck, Check24 und Auto Europe? Ziehen bei dem bösen Spiel grinsend mit und bieten die Dienste weiter fröhlich an. Unterstützung bei der Anmietung: Leider nein - habt Ihr nicht das Kleingedruckte gelesen? Da können wir nichts machen. Dankeschön, sagt man in Deutschland! Fazit: Wir buchen NIE wieder bei diesen Anbietern und raten allen, die es ruhiger mögen, die Finger von all diesen Unternehmen zu lassen. Transparenz und Ehrlichkeit sollten keine Extras sein!

I recently rented from Funchal Airport. The overall experience was excellent, including the pick up / transfer (only a few minutes away from the airport), the type and condition of the car, and the service and efficiency of the team. I understand that the company has recently been taken over by Movida and this may be driving up improvements. I would definitely recommend.

Nous avons pris une voiture qui pendant le voyage à perdu son écran, on ne pouvait plus rien en faire. Après 1h c est revenu à la normal. De plus au moment de nous donner la voiture il est répertorié seulement 3 impacts, en faisant le tour je constate 5 autres marques non noté. Bien faire attention car on nous demande en plus 1500e de franchise au cas où et de payer une assurance. Moi qui pensait que les prix était concurrentiel pas du tout c est tout simplement pas inclus dans les frais de location. A ce jour je n ai toujours pas été remboursée de mes 100e d assurance. Jai payé l essence tout à été réglé correctement mais il semblerait que leur délais de remboursement soit long, bientôt 2 semaines que j attends alors que je devais être remboursée en deux jours. 2 mails à ce jour ont été déposés.Bien entendu pas de réponse !

It will cost you double for a vehicle that is worse than advertised. Besides, be careful of their small city cars which have no power and which will have difficulty going up the roads of Madeira.

Wszystko ok. Auto praktycznie nowe, da o rad w górach. Kaucja szybko zwrócona, brak szukania usterek na si . Mog poleci .

Alles bestens. Recht hohe Kaution, aber das wussten wir ja schon bei der Buchung. Ansonsten alles top, schnell und unkompliziert, mit dem Auto hat alles gepasst.

Franchement rien à dire. Nous avons loué une voiture 10 jours, rapport qualité prix excellent. Nous avons une Nissan Juke au lieu dune 2008 (pas vraiment grave). La voiture était pas mal abîmée (des éraflures de carrosserie) en la prenant et on la rendu à lidentique -> Pas dembrouille. Le service de navette fonctionne pas mal, ce sont les fourgons orange Drive On holidays qui sont parfaitement visibles et rapides. L agence est à 5 mn de l aéroport. Les agents sont très sympa et courtois. Concernant le dépôt de garantie, aucun problème avec nos cartes bancaires françaises (vérifiez quand même que vous avez une carte de crédit (à débit différé fin de mois) et le plafond qui va bien, caution qui n est pas débitée). Bref rien à redire

Es hat alles, Shuttle vom und zum Airport, die Abholung und die Rückgabe, wunderbar gepasst. Die Modalitäten waren vorher bekannt, dadurch keine Probleme. Fahrzeug einwandfrei. Gerne wieder.

Wir hatten das gleiche Problem mit der Kaution. Da keine Debit akzeptiert wird mussten wir eine Zusatzversicherung von ca. 300 abschließen. Zusätzlich haben wir ein anderes Auto bekommen, als wir ursprünglich gebucht haben. Von einem VW auf einen Seat. Der Seat war neu und es war alles ok. Trotzdem war der geleistete Preis insgesamt viel zu teuer für angebotenen Service. Bei der Abnahme verlief alles schnell und reibungslos. Der Shuttle zum Flughafen kommt alle 20-30 Minuten. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett.

To je na 0 hviezd, nie 1 Nehovoriac o tom, ze sme bookovali jeep a dostali nisan so slovami, ze nikdy nemali jeep v pozicovni. Ako mô ete vidie , na oko mi firma odpovedala na recenziu, ale na e-mail u po 3 výzvach iadna odpove ani chu sa ospravedlni a nie o rie i . Fakt smutné I paied 209 eur to booking.com. Booking asked plus 52 e for insurance. When you come to car rent company, they are not able to block 3600 e from your credit card as depozit, so they ask you to pay other 216 e to have it without deposit. So you pay total for rent over 400 e for 4 days. This is for 0 stars, not even 1. Anyway, i ordered jeep and got nissan with words we never had jeep in our car rent company. So why they offer jeep? As you can see, company replied on my review, but I sent 3 e-mails and got no answer. No interest to answer and apolgise or try to resolve a problem. Nothing. Very sad

Very straightforward and pleasant service. Didn t realise there was a shuttle from the airport but once I got to the desk everything else was easy. Great price, would recommend.

Via Booking.com geboekt. Als je de voorwaarden goed leest weet je dat je een hoge borg via creditcard moet verstrekken. Echt een prachtige auto. Snelle shuttleservice met oranje bus vanaf arrivals naar de afhaallocatie 5 minuten verderop. Auto teruggebracht, gecontroleerd en binnen 15 minuten weer op airport. Binnen 30 minuten was de creditcard reservering al opgeheven. Echt een topbedrijf! Een aanrader!

die kaution ist extrem hoch und die lage ist nicht gut (shuttlebus ca. 3 min) ansonsten kann ich nichts schlechtes berichten. auto war super und neu, kindersitz auch in ordnung und das personal freundlich.

Sollten Sie ein Auto mieten, geben sie etwas mehr aus und suchen sie einen anderen Anbieter. Die Auto haben alle Schäden bitte prüfen sie alles und machen Sie Fotos. An unserem Auto sind die Bremsen während der Fahrt kaputt gegangen. Wir haben einen ganzen Tag Urlaub verloren bis wir einen neues Auto bekommen haben. Bei der Rückgabe des Ersatzwagens musste dieser vollgetankt werden, soweit OK. Jetzt sollten wir aber auch für das defekte und liegen gebliebene Auto noch 77 Sprit bezahlen obwohl nur 10 Liter fehlten. Eine Frechheit, Kulanz oder ein entgegen kommen gibts nicht. Achso wenn sie keine echte Kreditkarte haben, werden sie gezwungen eine teure Versicherung 250 abzuschließen andernfalls kein Auto. Eine Debutkarte ( Visa ) reicht nicht aus. Nie wieder bei der Firma!!!

Haben von Zuhause aus ein Mietauto gebucht und knapp 200 für eine Woche bezahlt. Haben uns über den billigen Preis gefreut. Aber Achtung: da wir unsere Kreditkarte nicht mit 2000 belasten konnten, mussten wir nochmal über 200 Miete bezahlen. Dies stand zwar irgendwo klein in den AGBs, war für uns doch eine böse Überraschung... Ansonsten hat mit dem Abholen vom Flughafen und mit der Auto aber alles geklappt.

Allt gick väldigt smidigt! Vi blev upphämtade på flygplatsen, betalade depositionen på 1500 och tog väldigt många bilder på bilen för vår säkerhet. När vi lämnade tillbaka bilen fick vi tillbaka depositionen inom 10minuter. VIKTIGT! TA MÅNGA BILDER PÅ BILEN NÄR NI HÄMTAR BILEN. Det är för er egna säkerhet, ibland missar de att dokumentera tidigare skador och då är det bra att visa foton.

Zu beginn wurde uns eine Angebot gemacht sofort 324 zu zahlen für eine Zusatzversicherung und damit nur eine Block Belastung von 200 auf die Kreditkarte. Wenn bereits über das Buchungsportal Zusatzversicherung abgeschlossen wurden, kann man sich das Vorort sparen. Auto entsprach der Buchung und war technisch in Ordnung. Ein Kleinwagen hat auf der Insel definitiv seine Vorteile. Rückgabe am Abholort, problemlos und zügig. Shuttleservice zum Vermieter/Flughafen ca. 5 Minuten

***BE AWARE*** We rented a car for a very fair price. Car we had was great and had no issues. BUT, They only accept credit card but not American Express. Luckily i had an extra credit card, otherwise they will charge you 250 to use the car. Staff was not friendly at all on return. The guy seemed to want to spot as much damages as possible in order to charge us for extra money. LUCKILY as experienced travellers we took 2 full videos of the car, and managed to avoid to get charged. SO AS ADVICE, TAKE A CAREFUL AND DETAILED VIDEOS OF THE CAR ON COLLECTION. Be aware of scammers and Enjoy Madeira.

As others have already noted, there was unnecessary additional insurance and dropping it off outside of core hours also costs extra. But the car itself was good.

STAY AWAY! We have never had such a bad experience with a car rental company! Like on at least six other trips, we booked the rental car through a German company. Since I dont have a credit card, we were told that we wouldn t be able to get the car due to the deposit requirement. My girlfriend had her credit card with her, but it could only be used in my name if we paid an additional 210 . After unsuccessfully trying to transfer the contract to her name, we finally set off with a three-quarters full tank (should have been full). On the third day of our vacation, the coolant warning light turned red! We were in the middle of nowhere and had to make it to the nearest gas station... Two days later, the windshield washer fluid was empty (I may have used it four times in those five days). When we returned the car, we were greeted with extreme rudeness. Weve rented cars in many countries, but weve never experienced anything like this.

Grosse arnaque sur le tarif ! Nous avions tout validé en amont avec montant total et arrivés sur place impossible de laisser une garantie avec notre CB (qui a tjs fonctionné dans n importe quel pays jusque là ) sous ce prétexte il faut payer 180 en plus que l on ne récupère pas à la place des 1500 de caution JAMAIS VU ÇA ! Nous déconseillons TOTALEMENT

C est vraiment l attrape-touriste par excellence, on vous appâte avec des prix alléchants et une fois sur place c est la grosse surprise : Vous avez le choix entre une caution de 1500 ou payer une assurance supplémentaire de 157 (ce qui représente quand même plus de la moitié du prix de la location !) Mais c est la que le plus ahurissant se produit : on me refuse le dépôt de caution sous prétexte que ma CB n est pas une carte de crédit mais de débit ?? Déjà effectué plusieurs fois des locations de véhicules dans différents pays, première fois que j entends une histoire pareille. Bref personnel de surcroît incompétent et désagréable qui ne cherche en aucun cas une solution alternative, vous vous retrouvez forcé de payer une bonne facture supplémentaire.

Terrible hire company. Do not use! Booked a 9 seat van for a week holiday for three adults and two very young children on the Thursday for a Monday arrival. We did not receive confirmation and the company are not contactable over the weekend which is ludicrous. We were advised before the flight that the van was no longer available and we found a smaller vehicle which was conveniently much more expensive than the original booking. As mentioned by other reviewers, we were waiting at the airport with less than helpful staff over the telephone despite speaking in both Portuguese and English. Once we found the shuttle, we waited outside the office patiently for a long time with no shade. We were advised that we would need to pay a £2000+ deposit or £250 non refundable insurance, this was not clear on the booking. We had to abandon the plan on hearing that the refund could take 6+ months which is a crazy amount of time and made me very cautious of using them. Avoid at all cost and in future when we come to Madeira (which is often) we will use the airport hire cars. Lesson learnt!

Es wurden 50,- für eine extra Innenraumreinigung in Rechnung gestellt, für eine Verschmutzung die wir nicht verursacht haben. Bei Abholung des Mietwagens unbedingt auch Fotos vom Innenraum machen! They charged an extra 50,- for special interior cleaning for sth. we didnt caused. Take pictures of interior before you take the car!

I would never go to this agency again. If you re choosing between agencies and another one is a bit more expansive, choose the other one! Customer service is 0,0. Dropping off the car was a hell and super unorganised. In total 10 people were working and no one could help us for about 15-20 minutes. Then we had to take their bus back to the airport. For 15 minutes they were saying just 5 more minutes . They advised us to take the full insurance. After agreeing and reading the document afterwards (because they don t give you the time during pickup) there was a lot not in their full insurance . For example: rims, roof, bottom, interior . And then we paid 350 for 7 days of their full insurance . Please pay a bit more and pick a nice agency

Attention pour les français ils demandent une carte de crédit pour payer la caution. Les cartes française sont a débit. Du coup ils vous oblige a souscrire une assurance supplémentaire...

We had a very pleasant experience! Staff was super friendly and the car was basically new. For all the people complaining here - it is the absolut standard to either pay a deposit of around 1500 or to choose their insurance offer. In many cases, a credit card (not debit) is necessary which is also stated upfront when booking the car online. If you already have an insurance booked, pay the deposit. In case of a damage, your pre booked insurance should take care of the payments that they took from your deposit. Read the paperwork when booking upfront. Also, do lots of pictures from the car as there are usually scratches etc which are not listed by the rental car company so your on the safe side

Mam same dobre wra enia po skorzystaniu z us ug tej wypo yczalni. Cena by a rozs dna, auto nowe (5 ty km przebiegu), obs uga mi a i profesjonalna. Bardzo sprawny odbiór i oddanie auta (mimo nocnych godzin). Nie by o szukania na si jakie usterki, otarcia eby wyci gn dodatkowe pieni dze i nagabywania na wykupienia jeszcze jednego dodatkowego ubezpieczenia. Szczerze polecam !!!!

Warum auch immer behauptete der online Anbieter opodo, wir hätten das Auto zu spät abgeholt ,( Geld weg und kein Auto bedeutete das für uns) wir waren überpünktlich! Mußten nur warten bis wir dran waren, aber immer noch voll in der Zeit, als wir dann an der Reihe waren. Opdo bat sogar die Mitarbeitern von Drive on Holidays zu behaupten, wir seien zu spät da gewesen. Aber, sie hat sich 2,5 Stunden für uns eingesetzt, sodass wir letztendlich das Auto auch bekamen. Ein überaus großes Lob an die Mitarbeiterin DANIELA JESUS von DRIVE ON HOLIDAYS. Niemals mehr werden wir über opodo etwas buchen.!! Nochmals herzlichen Dank Daniela

VORSICHT ABZOCKE!!! Beide unsere Kreditkarten wurden vor Ort nicht akzeptiert (Visa und Maestro). Als alternative konnte ich eine Zusatzversicherung für 723 dazubuchen, obwohl ich bereits eine Vollkasko Versicherung in Deutschland gebucht hat! VORSICHT ABZOCKE!!! VORSICHT ABZOCKE!!! Kreditkarten Abzocke111! Habe bereits bei zahlreichen Autovermietungen mit meiner Kreditkarte bezahlt! Hier nicht möglich, beide Kreditkarten wurden abgelehent, eine Zusatzversicherung für 578 musste für die 10 Tage dazugebucht werden!

Bei mir hat alles gut funktioniert. Wir wurden zeitnah am Flughafen per Shuttlebus abgeholt. Die Entgegennahme des Autos hat auch gut funktioniert. Das Mietauto war neuwertig und in einem guten Zustand. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und höflich. Auch die Rückgabe des Autos lief einwandfrei. Ich kann diese Autovermitung definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren mit der Autovermietung zufrieden. Alles lief gut von der Abholung bis zur Rückgabe. Jedoch ist uns im nachhinein aufgefallen, dass mein Portmonee bei Abgabe noch im Auto lag. Bis jetzt konnten wir leider niemanden mehr dort erreichen der uns Auskunft gab, ob das Portmonee gefunden wurde und vielleicht per Post geschickt werden kann. Das finden wir sehr schade. Leider habe ich nach fast 2 Wochen immer noch keine Antwort auf meine Mails an besagte Mail Adresse bekommen.

Vriendelijle service. Goede wagen aan een goede prijs. Enkele tips: 1) zorg voor voldoende saldo op de visa (2800 moet nog vrij staan) 2) zorg dat je een all in verzekering hebt. (Er rijden op Madeira weinig autos zonder builen en krassen) Indien je deze niet neemt bij het verhuurbedrijf is het goedkoper, maar dan moet je eerst hen vergoeden en later verhalen op jouw verzekering 3) vlot vervoer van en naar de luchthaven.

J ai réservé une voiture mercredi 18/09/24 sur Internet quelques heures avant la récupération des clés et j ai payé la totalité. C était indiqué carte visa acceptée. À la remise des clés j ai eu le choix entre ne pas prendre d assurance, payer 1700 de franchise ou payer 180 d assurance avec 100 de franchise. J ai choisi de ne pas prendre d assurance, mais quand j ai donné ma CB visa, ils m ont imposé la deuxième option sous prétexte que je n avais pas de carte de crédit mais une carte de débit et que ce serait trop long pour les remboursements. C est donc de la vente forcée, la voiture qui devait coûter un peu plus de 300 me coûte un peu moins de 500 . Ça ressemble à du vol. Surtout quand on est prévenu sur le fait accompli. Sinon tout s est bien passé, c est juste beaucoup plus cher qu ailleurs.

DON T use this car rental agency! Charged for extra cleaning due to a mark on a seat. Also, halfway through our stay on Madeira the brakes reached the end of their lives & we had awful grinding for the remainder of our trip. Very poor customer service, would never rent from here again. Much better agencies out there

This is a complete scan. Our whole trip to Madeira was ruined because of the negligence of the staff when an accident happened. It has been 2 months since we handed the car back and we still havent been reimbursed from our No Warranty +, which we paid for beforehand. Firstly when you select the car and pay online, you are then hit with another bill to pay on arrival. The whole staff have been Unprofessional with the handling of the matter and no one seems to know what they are doing!

Reserved a car through Booking.com for the convenient price, even though reviews here made me skeptical. Anyway, my experience was positive. The only negatives are the 1500 deposit, and that they gave us a Renault Clio which was clearly not serviced properly. Brake pads were worn and brakes started overheating and smoking while we were driving down from Pico do Areeiro to Funchal on the first day. However, once notified they offered to exchange the Renault with a Seat Ibiza the same day, without any complaints or extra checks. The Ibiza had all the necessary power to deal with the >20% incline uphills, and while having few scratches already, the drop off was flawless and I had no issues in getting the deposit back - since no damage was done by us. A plus on the shuttle service which did not make us wait even though we had flights late at night/early in the morning

A fuire !!!! Ils nous ont donné une voiture sans plaquettes de frein ... Nous nous sommes retrouvés sans frein dans une descente à Madère. Nous avons été rapatrié en taxi à lagence et la voiture est partie avec une dépanneuse. Honteux vraiment, nous aurions pu avoir un accident. La seconde voiture quils nous ont donné avait les pneus lisse à lavant. A fuire ! Les voitures ne sont pas révisés comme ils le prétendent.

Trotz allen schlechten Rezensionen auf Google hab ich nichts zu meckern. Wenn alle vorgegebenen Konditionen respektiert werden, läuft alles einwandfrei ab! Der Service ist sehr nett und professionell. Man sollte halt nur beachten, nicht Ihre vorgeschlagene Versicherung anzunehmen wenn man schon online über den externen Autoanbieter eine genommen haben sollte. Zu empfehlen! :)

Lesperienza con Drive on holiday è stata un vero inferno sin dallinizio perché al banco di noleggio loperatrice che mi ha servito mi ha chiesto un deposito di 2100 ! Questa è una quantità di denaro assai elevata rispetto a tutti quanti gli altri noleggi che io abbia mai utilizzato in passato e lo dimostra anche il fatto che anche altri clienti hanno avuto il mio stesso problema mentre ero lì! Purtroppo avevo già utilizzato parte del credito della mia carta per cui sono stato costretto ad accettare la loro unica condizione di pagare quasi ulteriori 300 per una assicurazione aggiuntiva durante il periodo di noleggio! La macchina noleggiata di per sé è andata bene, salvo che alla fine del noleggio sono tornato al banco e il tipo che ci ha accolto per effettuare le procedure di riconsegna ci ha chiesto in maniera molto scontrosa ulteriori 200 per quattro graffi di numero su una sola borchia di una ruota anteriore, nonostante come avevo detto in precedenza abbiamo dovuto sottoscrivere una assicurazione aggiuntiva! Loperatore inoltre è stato veramente molto scortese non tanto per la richiesta assurda di denaro ma per i suoi modi perché sapeva che avevamo fretta per il checkin in aeroporto! Per tale motivo ha cercato di metterci pressione ma noi abbiamo provato in tutti i modi a convincerlo che era un danno assolutamente irrisorio tantè che abbiamo sporcato le nostre mani per dimostrarlo, ma nulla da fare! Siamo perciò arrivati in aeroporto sia in ritardo che con mani e abiti sporchi di grasso! È stata unesperienza terribile, che non auguro a nessuno! Il consiglio che mi sento di dare è innanzitutto di non scegliere questo noleggio per nessuna ragione e in caso si dovesse essere costretti, fare di tutto per stare attenti alle borchie (cosa che in unisola come Madeira dove ci sono strade molto strette, tutte di montagna, e parcheggi anche sterrati era assai difficile) casomai anche smontandole durante lintero periodo del noleggio per non ritrovarsi poi con brutte sorprese alla riconsegna dellauto

nous partageons également un avis négatif. nous avons loué une voiture pour 8jours (du 17 septembre au 25septembre). nous avons payé 400 les 8jours. le dernier jour nous a été facturé pour la journée complète alors que nous rendions le véhicule le 25septembre à 1h30 du matin. nous avions choisi et payer le véhicule à l avance. arrivée à l agence nous avions eu un autre véhicule que celui que nous avions choisi qui etait dans un mauvais état. de plus l agence nous a donné le véhicule avec une barre d essence en moins, donc nous avons rendu le véhicule avec le même niveau d essence. ils nous ont dit que cela n était pas vrai, qu il n y avait pas de preuve. nous n avons pas eu le choix de payer 54 !!!!! pour 1barre d essence en moins que le pleins ! sous prétexte qu il y a une taxe de 25 pour aller mettre l essence à la pompe et le reste pour l essence et pour la caution n en parlons pas , 1900 de caution ! sinon il fallait payer 170 d assurance qui n est pas remboursé par la suite bien évidemment. et pour couronner le tout, 76 de frais de dossier. nous déconseillons totalement cette agence de location de voiture. c est à fuir !

Not a bad rent a car but very very inefficient, everything and anything need to speak to supervisor not good customer service especially when you re tired from a flight and or in a rush to catch one. Needs to improve on the quality and speed of service.

Reibungslose Abwicklung, alle Vorschäden waren dokumentiert und Abgabe verlief problemlos. Zusätzliche Versicherung wurde angeboten, nach direktem nein wurde dies aber akzeptiert und nicht versucht diese trotzdem aufdringlich zu vergleichen. Die dadurch notwendige Kaution war bereits bei der Buchung klar kommuniziert, weswegen ich mich fragen, warum es hierzu Beschwerden gibt. Dies ist das übliche Vorgehen bei Mietwagen. Ansonsten hatten wir einen Kleinwagen (Seat Ibiza) mir 9tkm. Dieser war von Leistung und Größe perfekt für die Insel. Insgesamt nichts auszusetzen.

Avoid at all costs!!! Total scam company! Charged us for Full insuarance and still had to pay for a nailed tire. Plus they charge for 2 tires even damaged just one. 12 calls to 24 hours urgent service and no response! Since car wasn t drivable they had to pick it up with half empty tank (obviously!) and they overcharged for the petrol since it is not full tank. And just FYI - even though it says DHM in airport - you still should take a small bus to the actual place with cars.

Kein netter Service am Anfang und über 2000 Kaution. Da das Limit der Kreditkarte um 10 nicht reichte gab es dann eine 140 Vollkasko Versicherung, die jedoch die wichtigsten Sachen ausgeschlossen hat (Kupplung, Reifen oder Felgen). Der Service am Ende war sehr nett trotzdem nicht wieder.

Le pongo estrella porque es obligado porque no se merece ni una. Llegamos al aeropuerto y tuvimos q esperas 40 minutos para q el micro nos recogiera, no teníamos ninguna información de ellos, para esperar el dichoso micro... Pasados esos 40 min llegó el micro nos llevó a la oficina para recoger el coche que habíamos alquilado previamente para nuestra estancia de 10 días...y la sorpresa fue que nos daban 2 opciones pero en las dos de ellas teníamos que pagar o 280 sin reembolso o 2000 de fianza, ..nos quedamos con cara de tontos ya que esa información no nos fue dada a la hora de alquilar el coche, que como he dicho fueron 10 días de alquiler, y la verdad es q económico no fue...como para abonar más dinero a la hora de la recogida.. Son unos estafadores....ya que no ponen la información completa... Espero esta reseña le sirva a muchos turistas para no contar con este renta car..

It was just HORRIBLE!!! We booked a car with a full insurance that we paid for while booking the car itself. After we exited the airport I called to the office because we didn t know where to wait for the transfer. While calling with one of employees that I was on the phone with mocked me through the phone. Like excuse me? After we arrived at the car hire company we had to wait for at least a half and hour in scorching hot. We were forced to put down a deposit of 4000 because they insisted that we don t have any insurance for the car at the moment. Which is obviously bullshit because we paid for it beforehand. We also paid for a second driver. Which after we told them we also had paid for they said that it s not in the system okey like what the hell? There was nothing really wrong with the car. It was new only had like 1000 kilometres. When we came back to get the car back to them there were no big issues. The only thing that was bad was when they were checking the gas tank. We filled it 2 times before we came to the car hire. Once by our hotel. The second time when we were nearing the car hire because my dad noticed the fuel was not at the maximum. We tanked for 2 it wasn t possible to get more into the tank. The lady that was checking the car was super rude and unwelcoming. It felt like they just wanted to find a reason to charge us. We still weren t given back our deposit and they are not picking up the phone. So thank you for this horrendous service and see you again never.

Fast and uncomplicated handover, despite the large crowd. Cars clean and well maintained. The first car had a noise in the brake system, the vehicle was replaced immediately after consultation.

Super unseriös und absolute abzocke. Gerade andere Rezensionen gelesen und gesehen dass das deren Masche ist. Entweder man hinterlegt eine Kaution von 2100 und muss den Schaden zahlen falls etwas passiert, obwohl man zuvor schon eine Vollkaskoversicherung abgeschlossen hatte oder zahlt vor Ort einmalig 333 und ist versichert. Nachdem wir uns entschieden hatten die Variante mit der Kaution zu machen, wurde aufeinmal die Kreditkarte für die Kaution nicht angenommen und es wäre nicht möglich diese zu belasten. Aber die 333 damit zu zahlen war aufeinmal problemlos möglich. Mit dieser Karte hatte ich zuvor schon das Auto bezahlt und auch die letzten zwei male bei anderen Vermietungen hatte alles problemlos mit der Kaution funktioniert. Also besser nicht machen und sich eine Menge Geld und Stress sparen. :(

Great car with no issues. However, on drop-off, staff were extremely unhelpful with the airport shuttle bus and rude. The lack of help or response to questions caused us to miss our flight. The bus arrived on time, but the driver went in to the office to serve customers with nobody letting us know when it would leave, despite asking several times. They mentioned they were busy, but there were 3 other workers serving, and only 6-8 customers in the line. Responses were unhelpful and rude, and myself, my partner and several others were sat waiting in the bus for 30/40 minutes. Even after speaking to people in Head Office, they took no responsibility or gave no apology. They reviewed CCTV footage apparently, admitted the bus arrived to pick us up on time, but failed to recognise how long people were sat waiting to leave. Even lying by telling us a completely different time it left. There were no apologies for rude staff either. We have no need to lie about missing a flight, and would have comfortably made it by ordering a taxi if staff were helpful in telling us when it would leave instead of when we are ready or in a few minutes

Via Booking.com ben ik bij dit bedrijf terechtgekomen. Voor een redelijk goedkope prijs een recente wagen (±25.000km) gekregen. De wagen was proper vanbinnen en goed onderhouden. De motor was wat zwak voor de bergen in Madeira maar ik had de goedkoopste (mini) optie gekozen en ben ook de bergen op geraakt. Ik heb de auto 5 dagen gebruikt. De borg was 1500 met kredietkaart of ik kon 90 betalen voor een extra verzekering zonder borg. De borg werd enkele dagen later terug op mijn kaart gezet. De werknemers waren vriendelijk en ik heb persoonlijk een goede ervaring gehad ondanks ik wat sceptisch was door de slechte reviews.

Le dépôt de garantie est scandaleusement élevé, ce qui vous pousse à souscrire une garantie supplémentaire représentant 50% du coût de la location pour une semaine. Une pratique purement abusive pour extorquer encore plus d argent aux clients. Ensuite, l emplacement du loueur est extrêmement éloigné de l aéroport, ce qui oblige à attendre une navette pendant au moins 15 minutes. Un véritable calvaire après un long vol. Pour couronner le tout, la voiture qui m a été fournie était en très mauvais état, avec de multiples dommages. C est une honte ! Et ce n est pas tout. Le pire dans tout cela, c est l attitude méprisante et irrespectueuse du personnel. Ils se permettent de se moquer ouvertement des clients dans leurs dos, en parlant entre eux de manière dédaigneuse. Un comportement inacceptable et indigne de professionnels. Je vous déconseille vivement de louer un véhicule auprès de cette agence. De plus, à l arrivée de l aéroport nous avons dû attendre une navette pendant 17 min alors que nous n étions pas au courant. Une fois arrivée, le personnel se moquait de nous en Portugais. C est vraiment inadmissible!!! Je suis outré. C est vraiment une grosse arnaque.

Cuento mi experiencia y leyendo las reseñas es bastante habitual.. Primero debes depositar por tarjeta de crédito y no de débito un valor de 3.200 . Yo como tenía una tarjeta de crédito de valor de 2.000 , me obligaron a contratar otro seguro(ya tenía una contratado por booking) de valor de 360 . Este hecho insólito solo me ha pasado en esta empresa de renting,aviso a navegantes quizás a priori es la más barata como yo que pague por alquilar el coche 300 por 7 días pero si le sumas 360 al final es la más cara. En conclusión o tienes una tarjeta de crédito con límite alto o mejor irte a otra compañía.

Alugamos veiculo para 3 dias, correu tudo bem com o mesmo. Garantiram a nossa recolha e entrega no aeroporto, contudo não posso deixar de salientar que nos sentimos ludibriados. Alugamos o carro via site ryanair, no próprio site pagamos um seguro extra para que tudo o que pudesse acontecer tivesse assegurado e quando fomos levantar o carro ainda tivemos que fazer um seguro extra de 90 . Foi nos comunicado por uma funcionária que se optássemos pelo debito da franquia de 1500 ela não garantia quando retornava à nossa conta bancária, que poderia demorar muito, obviamente que preferimos fazer mais um seguro e pagar 90 extra a ficar com os 1500 cativos até não se sabe quando. Quando devolvemos a viatura ouvimos outro funcionário a explicar ao cliente que o valor da franquia ia ser desbloqueado de imediato.... ou seja, impingiram-nos um seguro desnecessário

Per ritirare lautomobile chiedono un deposito cauzionale di 2.000 tramite carta di credito. Come capitato a noi (e come capitato anche ad altri, viste le altre recensioni) il blocco della somma sulla carta di credito risulta misteriosamente non andare a buon fine; ci viene proposto allora come alternativa di pagare una somma (circa 350,00) che verrà restituita alla riconsegna dellautomobile. Dubbiosi chiediamo CHIARAMENTE ed in maniera ESPLICITA allimpiegato se questa somma verrà poi restituita e ci viene detto chiaramente di SI. Paghiamo e stipuliamo il contratto fidandoci di quanto ci ha chiaramente confermato limpiegato - e stupidamente senza leggere le clausole. Conclusione: alla riconsegna dellauto la somma che ci avevano detto che sarebbe stara restituita in realtà risulta essere unassicurazione aggiuntiva che è stata pagata e che in quanto tale non verrà restituita. Il personale risulta essere a conoscenza di questo iter scorretto ma non si rende disponibile a muoversi attivamente per risolvere la questione. Comportamento altamente scorretto, che apprendo ora (troppo tardi) essere fatto per truffare i turisti (e guadagnare il doppio). Comportamento deplorevole. Non rovinatevi la vacanza alla riconsegna dellauto, andate da unaltra parte.

Una vera e propria truffa! Una volta arrivati al momento del ritiro della macchina loperatore ci ha informati che avremmo dovuto effettuare un pagamento di 2000 come cauzione, ma stranamente il pagamento non è andato a buon fine... Fu così che loperatore ci illustrò tre altre alternative una delle quali era quella di procedere al pagamento di 350 , che poi ci si sarebbero stati riaddebitati alla fine del contratto, ma così non fù. Stupidamente non avevo letto le altre recensioni, altrimenti avrei capito che questa è una loro procedura abituale! State attenti

Für einen Mietwagen viele Tausende Euros an Kaution zu hinterlegen, mit der Absicht, dass der Mieter diese dann nicht zahlen kann weil das Karten Limit nicht ausreichend ist, und deswegen eine absurd teure Zusatzversicherung abschließen soll, ist für mich abzocke. Schade um die 100 Anzahlung

Após aluguel de carro durante 20 dias, depois de entregar o carro no Aeroporto, fui informado por chamada telefônica que havia um pequeno dano na porta do condutor. Recebi uma foto de baixa qualidade via WhatsApp e, mesmo expressando meu desacordo, foi descontado uma parcela de valor absurdo da caução Não recebi qualquer comunicação oficial e formal por e-mail ou correio, nem documentação detalhada referente à reparação, e não me foi enviada a fatura correspondente.

Car was great but they have service issues. Upon arrival it was incredibly busy, but not an issue. The issue came when we dropped the car off. We arrived right at opening and there was hardly a line but it still took ages. Their shuttle is ridiculously unreliable, we waited for 45 minutes and missed our flight, as did everyone else on the shuttle. There was one employee in particular who was incredibly rude and continued to shrug her shoulders when we d ask when the shuttle would leave. Terrible experience, terrible customer service. Save the trouble and book through Enterprise or a car rental place at the airport. UPDATE: Was asked to send an email (per comment below) to share what happened. Its been one week and no one has responded! Par for course.

A pesar del resto de comentarios negativos mi experiencia con esta empresa fue buena. Sin embargo, debes tener bastante cuidado y leer bien las condiciones para poder alquilar el coche. En ellas se explica que el CONDUCTOR PRINCIPAL del coche debe pagar una fianza de 2250 (aunque depende del vehículo) con una tarjeta de CRÉDITO a su NOMBRE. Dicha fianza quedará retenida y, posteriormente, devuelta. A la hora de hacer el pago también nos ofrecieron la opción del seguro, pero la descartamos y optamos por el pago de la fianza. La única pega que le puedo poner es que tuvimos que hacer un pago extra de 18,75 por un CONDUCTOR SECUNDARIO que no estaba avisado en el portal donde hicimos la reserva, Booking. Contratamos un Volkswagen Golf o similar y finalmente nos dieron un Seat Leon prácticamente nuevo que era una maravilla. MUY RECOMENDABLE pagar un poco más por un coche potente, ya que lo agradecerás porque Madeira tiene multitud de cuestas. También es IMPORTANTE hacer fotos al vehículo antes de iniciar el viaje, para evitar posibles malentendidos en el futuro. Por otro lado, en la reserva también viene incluido un Shuttle Service del aeropuerto al lugar del alquiler y al revés (es una furgoneta naranja). La pega es que tuvimos que esperar unos 30 minutos hasta que pudimos subir, en principio justificado por una caída en el sistema de Microsoft y el no poder rastrear los vuelos que llegan. Por último, la atención por parte del personal fue excelente. Repitiría!

Despite some negative comments, I have only positive recommendations to offer. The service, pick-up, the car itself, and the return process were superb. Its important to note that a credit card is required for the reservation and deposit, but this is standard practice.

Reviews made me more scared than necessary, if you come well prepared and make photos you should be fine. Good pick up and drop off. But They definitely do try too hard to sell their insurance and make extra money with practises that are bordering illegal. The entire process is smoke and mirrors. You don t know what you sign for (empty screen requires autograph.) They try to convince you your credit card doesn t work, they show the wrong agreement on purpose (which is not in your favour), only show damaged components in Portugese, they paint the tires black before you take the car, they let the car run when you return it to reduce the tank fuel so they can charge extra, they don t give a notice when you have returned the car in the correct state and the deposit will be returned etc etc.

Shuttle vom Airport und zurück war gut, Verleih war unkompliziert und hatten auch bei der Rückgabe keine Probleme. Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und sprechen gutes Englisch.

I strongly advise against booking with this company; they are fraudulent. They coerced us into paying an additional 220 beyond the agreed amount. They deliberately declined four credit cards, forcing us into a position where we had no choice but to pay extra. As an experienced traveler, I highly recommend avoiding this company.

The car was new and clean. We ordered petrol Jeep (or similar). We got a smaller hybrid SUV. We were assured it would handle hills well - it didnt. When returning the car we were charged for petrol because the car was on a hill and it showed different reading. We topped up the car down the road so it could not be fuller. We offered to move the car to flat surface but were still charged.

Bad experience here. Location is fine, car was clean. Just few errors that led to this bad experience. I was given a contract for the wrong car. Then when I called to extend car drop off by by a few hours, they reduced my rental instead and then charged extra 60EUR and having none of that it was their error to reduce my rental period by a day. Check, double check, ask for written confirmation as it is very difficult to deal with them.

The staff was very kind when picking up and dropping off the car, the car was also in good condition. Everything was fine during the rental period, we used it carefully as if it were our own. Upon delivery, everything was found to be fine. We inspected the car pool together during the delivery, they found everything in order and informed us that the deposit would be returned. 3 days after the delivery, they informed me by email that the bottom of the bumper was damaged and that they would charge nearly 400 Euros for the repair. Since we didnt look at the bottom of the car either when we picked it up or when we dropped it off, we dont know when the damage happened. I asked in an email to send a confirmation recording of the period before the rental date and the period after the delivery, but I did not receive a reply to this email. We did not receive an answer to our questions from Drive One Holidays.

This agency charges the highest deposits I ve ever seen, doesn t accept AMEX, isn t near the airport and doesn t think with you regarding a solution for the deposit when no other cards are available. Technically it should be easy, their effort means it s not possible. Nothing wrong with running a business like this but definitely not using them again, and recommend people stick to the larger rental agencies who are in the airport anyway.

Bereits im Besitz von zwei 100% Mietwagen-Versicherungen (Meine Kreditkarte und bereits bezahlt bei der Online Buchung durch den Reiseveranstalter) erwartete mich bei der Autoabholung eine sehr unangenehme Überraschung: Entweder a: Sie hinterlegen 2850,00 mit Ihrer Kreditkarte. Bei einem Schaden wird dieser erst einmal mit dem Hinterlegten abgerechnet. B: Alternativ bezahlen Sie sofort eine neu Mietwagen-Versicherung über 324,00 . Viele Ausschlüsse waren bei dieser enthalten: Reifen, Auto Innenseite, Schlüssel, Scheibenwischer, verbrannte Kupplung usw. Das empfand ich als äußerst unseriös. Zudem warteten wir vorher bereits über 40 Minuten am Flughafen auf Abholung, da sich die Auto Vermietung einige Kilometer weiter davon entfernt befindet. Zuletzt hat uns der Mitarbeiter, trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage, eine komplett falsche Adresse für die Rückgabe angegeben (32 km vom Flughafen entfernt). Als wir uns am Tage der Rückgabe nach der Rückgabeadresse telefonisch erkundigen wollten, war das Telefon dauerbesetzt, Typisch!

Was stimmt mit euch nicht? 7100 Euro Kaution für einen Opel Astra, der mich 150 Euro für 7 Tage kosten würde!!! Niemals!!! Das Auto ist nicht einmal so viel Wert! Und am Ende kommt man nicht an sein Geld ran. Solltet ihr denken, dass ich lüge.. Nein dieses Angebot habe ich gescreenshottet. Absolute Frechheit!!!

Do yourself a favor and book with a different rental car company. We booked with them because it was a great price for an automatic transmission, but it ended up costing as much as a more expensive rental because they will charge you for the tiniest scratch they can find on the car and say it wasnt there before. If you have to use this company, make sure you take very a detailed video and photos of the entire car before you leave the lot with it. They require a 2000 euro deposit/hold on your credit card, which is more than Ive ever seen. When we returned the car they said there was a new scratch on the tire rim that wasnt there before. Unfortunately, we didnt take any photos or video, so it was impossible to say if it was there beforehand. Even if we did, it was so small I dont know if it would even be visible unless we were really close. They charged us 200 euros for it. Ive never run into this issue with a car rental company. A bad end to what was an amazing trip.

La personne en charge de la remise des clés ne veut pas prendre ma carte bleue pour la caution de 1500 euros en prétextant que cest une carte de débit et non pas de crédit alors que cette carte accepte les crédits. Mon chéri avait loué une polo, à l arrivée on nous dit qu ils n en ont pas dans leur Park, donc il nous donne une autre voiture du même gabarit même si ce n est pas ce pourquoi on avait payé. Ensuite pour la caution il exigeait une carte spécifique pour la caution (carte de crédit) mais cela n était mentionné nulle part et nous n en savions rien, donc ils nous ont demandé de payer en plus, 1500 de caution qui mettraient deux mois à être remboursé ou bien d acheter leur assurance de 120 . Donc une réservation de 220 pour 5 jours a très vite monté sur la base de « oui on fonctionne comme ça » mais cela n était pas clairement renseigné, peut être dans les CGV .

Lief alles super!!! Shuttle Service vom Flughafen war pünktlich. Absprache per WhatsApp und Telefon immer on time. Uhrzeit für Ankunft und Abfahrt kein Problem. Und Auto wurde abgenommen. Hatten die Versicherung für 200 Euro statt der Kaution für 1500, da die Kreditkarte nicht ausreichend gedeckt war. (War unser Fehler). Dadurch war das Auto aber über Drive-On-Holidays versichert (bis auf die Reifen). Kleine Mängel waren kein Problem bei der Abnahme (Rückspiegel ein wenig abgeplatzt und Front einmal aufgesetzt, dadurch Schrammen am Boden der Verkleidung).

Great car, good on fuel for my four days around the island, the staff are really friendly. I read all the terms for my booking prior too and prepared for Visa hold and had no issues, also opted for insurance through them and then no hold was required.

I wish I wouldve listened to the bad reviews. Its a really greedy place that takes money before costumer service, I regret my choice so much. 1. 2 hours went by between the time i was ready to be picked up at the airport and when i actually had the car 2. They force you to pay an additional insurance of 400 OR they freeze 3500 from your card so be aware of that 3. They charge a 30 fee if your flight is early and you have to drop your car before opening hours (8am) 4. I filled my car before going to bed, had a 30-45minutes drive to do before getting to them in the middle of the night, because my tank indicator was just under the line that indicated full they charged me 60 ........ and we both know it wasnt even close to that. The employees just applicate and repeat the rules by their employer and i dont know how they do it seriously, I would be so ashamed to work for this company that scams people like this. Shame on you.

Heel mooie zo goed als nieuwe wagen Nissan Quashqai, snelle pickup aan de luchthaven, snelle aflevering en correcte afhandeling bij terugbrengen. Let op als je boekt via booking.com want je neemt geen verzekering bij de verhuurder maar bij booking.com. Als er iets fout gaat moet je dus zelf verhalen bij booking. Tenslotte is een borg van 3600 euro er ook nog eens compleet over maar dat komt dus door die regeling met verzekeringen. Beter direct boeken en onderhandelen.

While giving the car back to the rental place employees started finding the issues with a car that were not found while giving the car . When I was renting it someone just threw me the keys and told me that I can go. Of course it s my fault that I didn t make a video of the whole car, but the crew just tricked me into taking half of my deposit. Watch out for them. Update: I received an email from support. Dont push yourself to answer to it. They have never replied to me.

Merci à Drive on Holidays pour cette pratique commerciale trompeuse. Dautre part, lagence est effectivement située à une dizaine de minutes de laéroport avec la navette. Sauf que quand vous y ajoutez lattente de la navette et lattente sur place pour faire les papiers et pouvoir récupérer la clé, vous y avez passé 45 minutes. Première et dernière fois que je loue une voiture à cette société. Dailleurs les autres commentaires montre que je ne suis pas le seul à avoir le sentiment de mêtre fait avoir. Ahh oui et rendre la voiture en dehors des heures douverture de lagence vous coutera 33 EUR...

We were very happy with Drive on Holidays. We received a very modern car with parking sensors and android auto. They check the car for damage together with you very thoroughly beforehand so theres no discussion afterwards. They are also very clear about the insurance policy. We had to wait more than 30 minutes at the airport before being picked up, but thats the only negative feedback we have. We would recommend this company!

A car rental company that I will never prefer again. While picking up the car I rented because it was more affordable through Booking, they charged me extra money under the name of compulsory insurance as much as the 1-week rental amount I paid. Convenient Pick up with shuttle bus, car pickup very smooth and clear instructions from the staff, car as expected (fairly new, clean and in great shape), returning again very smooth and an easy shuttle to the airport. We experienced no problems and staff were friendly. The reason for the positive review is that the car was sufficiently powerful to cope with the hills on the island. On previous visits we have received (from other companies) underpowered cars that cannot cope with the many steep roads.

haben einmal ein auto für 8 tage und einmal ein auto für einen tag gebucht. haben über check24 bebucht. wir wurden vorort super betreut. die autos waren in super zustand. alles perfekt, um einen tollen urlaub zu verbringen. wir wurden verlässlich vom flughafen geholt und in die 5min entfernte station gebracht. ich kann diese firma empfehlen.

Wir haben einen Nissan Juke (kleiner SUV mit hohem Radstand) und einen Fiat 500 bei Drive On Holiday gemietet und waren rundum zufrieden. Das Personal war super zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Autos waren beide sauber und nahezu neu. Sie bieten einen Shuttle vom/zum Flughafen. Natürlich ist es sinnvoll online zu buchen und eine Vollkasko Versicherung für wenig Geld abzuschließen. Und ein Video/Fotos vor dem Ausleihen zu machen. Und stellen Sie sicher ausreichend Geld für die Kaution auf dem Konto zu haben.

Bei uns hat alles geklappt. Allerdings kann ich bestätigen, dass man eine zusätzliche Versicherung über 100 Euro bezahlen muss, wenn man die Kaution nicht hinterlegen kann mit Kreditkarte, was ich eine komische Option finde. Außerdem würde ich jedem empfehlen die Bilder vor Fahrtantritt sehr genau zu nehmen und jeden Schaden genau zu fotografieren, bei uns wurde ein Kratzer an einer Felge bemängelt, der schon vorher da war aber nicht von denen dokumentiert war. Wir hatten zum Glück den Kratzer gesehen und vorher ein Bild der Felge gemacht. Ich finde die Autovermietung sollte jeden Kratzer selber dokumentieren und dass nicht den Kunden überlassen. Anonsten allerdings sehr nette Mitarbeiter.

Overall it felt like a typical rental car experience. The shuttle took longer than 20 minutes to arrive, when it did, two arrived at the same time. The line at the rental car terminal wasnt particularly long, but we waited an hour to get help due to very slow customers or something. Not sure. The car itself was nice and worked well. The staff were friendly. The security deposit held on the card seems outrageous, nearly $4,000USD. Ive never had a rental car company hold that much. We had to pay extra for the early hours drop off (it was only 7:30 am), which seemed weird to me for an airport location. Whatever, I would rent here again, but will seek other companies out first.

The worst experience Ive ever had with a car rental company. The car was good, but the business practices are, in my opinion, close to being a rip-off.

Avec une note de 3,8 pour 68 votes sur Google, et une note de 2 pour 451 votes sur Trustpilot, nous pouvons nous demander combien d avis ici ont été retirés au préalable et la sincérité des autres commentaires en conséquence. La société ne se trouve pas à l aéroport, comptez 5/10 min en navette (on vient vous chercher), ce qui aura pour effet de vous isoler des autres loueurs et/ou taxis à partir de là l arnaque pourra commencer à se refermer sur vous ! En effet, il est soit disant indispensable d avoir une carte bancaire type CREDIT pour permettre le prélèvement de la caution, sans quoi on vous obligera à prendre l option assurance complémentaire augmentant le prix de votre réservation de près du double. Certains témoignages indiquent que malgré ce type de carte, il leur a été également obligé de souscrire cette assurance. Leur offre est donc volontairement trompeuse mise bout à bout. A aucun moment de notre réservation les caractéristiques d une telle carte ne nous ont été précisées, et c est donc sans même essayer avec nos cartes Visa PREMIER et Mastercard GOLD qui couvrent par défaut les rachats de franchises, que le conseiller nous impose cette option que vous ne pouvez refuser pour pouvoir retirer votre véhicule. Rappelez-vous, vous n êtes plus à l aéroport et déjà éloignez des taxis. Quand vous êtes avec familles et valises pas le choix que de subir cette prise d otage. Le comble Option qui sera payée ave nos cartes ! Comme quoi leurs terminaux de paiement auraient accepté l empreinte de la caution avec un peu plus de bonne volonté. Les conseillers Drive On Holidays seraient-ils intéressés financièrement à la souscription de telles options quitte à user de méthodes peu recommandables ? En France, cela s appelle de la Vente forcée et est assimilable à une arnaque. Donc une seule recommandation, fuyez cette société ! D autant qu au retour de notre véhicule nous entendrons que l histoire se répète encore et encore avec d autres clients dont certains semblant plus juste financièrement ne peuvent se permettre un tel surcoût. Ce n est pas leur problème, payez sinon pleurez ! Cette société nous a été proposée par BOOKING qui devrait sans plus attendre blacklister celle-ci à la vue des méthodes et autres avis de Trustpilot. Sur la facture qui nous est remise il n est d ailleurs fait mention nulle part du prix initial de notre réservation faite et payée depuis BOOKING, bref tout est fait pour rendre la transaction la plus nébuleuse possible. Rien à redire sur la qualité et propreté du véhicule, heureusement pour une location dont la valeur a doublé par cette pratique.

Angeblich ist die Kaution mit der Kreditkarte (debit) nicht möglich. Nicht mal bar, sondern nur eine Kreditkarte (credit). Natürlich muss man dann eine gesonderte Versicherung ohne Selbstbeteiligung (und ohne Kaution) abschließen. Zum nahezu fünffachen Mietpreis!! Ich nenne so was Wucher!!!

In Madeira, everything happened as it should happen. Car rental is an exception with this company. I paid the fee in advance online. On the spot, he said almost 3 more times that I dont have a credit card but a debit card. I dont recommend it because they are common scammers.

My wife and I booked a car for 2 days to celebrate a birthday in Madeira. Our credit card did not have a sufficient credit limit, we needed 2800 euros, but we had 2500 euros (exactly how much would be needed for the limit in the Ryanair application was not indicated). We are from Ukraine and our banks have limited credit limits at the moment due to the war. Your employee immediately refused to help us and told us to cancel our Ryanair reservation. He knew that according to their rules we could no longer cancel the reservation. Our proposals to resolve the situation were: 1. make a deposit partially or completely in cash 2. change the car to a lower class so that the deposit is slightly lower 3. cancel the reservation so we can take another car But your employee refused to help and did not offer anything to solve our problem. Told me to call booking to cancel my reservation. We could not find a phone number in the Ryanair application; there is no such information. As a result, we didn t rent a car, lost 136 euros, didn t see any of the planned attractions and my wife s birthday was completely ruined, she cried all day. Spent an extra 150+ euros on taxis and buses.

Be careful, things are not right here. First of all, the car hire company didnt stick to the agreement and picked us up at the airport (travelling with a baby) about an hour and a half later than agreed. Then, unfortunately, there was a problem with our credit card. To be fair, I have to say that this was not due to Drive on Holidays. Nevertheless, we were not offered an alternative (deposit in cash or deposit via a debit card or Maestro card - both are technically possible without any problems). We were only offered to take out an overpriced (400 euros) additional insurance policy, which reduced the deposit. And oh how suddenly the lower deposit can suddenly be blocked via debit cards. With a little good will, the higher deposit could also have been blocked. In response to my email to the provider, which was linked to the hope of finding a solution afterwards (payment of 200 instead of 400 euros for the additional insurance), there was a direct rejection. To the Drive on Holidays team: You can dispense with your comment under this review. The comments are obviously only written to give the impression of customer-orientated service. I can only strongly advise against this provider.

Excellent service. Nous venons de louer une voiture une semaine, rapport qualité prix excellent. Nous avions une Nissan Qashqai quasiment neuve. Le service de navette fonctionne très bien, ce sont les fourgons orange Drive On holidays qui sont parfaitement visibles et rapides. L agence est à 5/10 mn de l aéroport. Les agents sont très sympa et courtois. Concernant le dépôt de garantie, aucun problème avec nos cartes bancaires françaises (vérifiez quand même son plafond autorisé, caution qui n est pas débitée pour rappel). Bref super service!

Az autóval semmi gond nem volt, jól felszerelt, újszer , tiszta. A kiszolgálás szintén teljesen rendben volt, pontosan jöttek értünk oda is vissza is. Számunkra viszont egyáltalán nem volt egyértelm , hogy több díjat kell fizetnünk az autó bérlésén felül. A wizzair-en keresztül foglaltam az autót a repül jegy mellett kiegészít szolgáltatásként. Akkor ki is fizettük online a kért díjat. A helyszínen összesen 71 euro plusz díjat számoltak fel azért, mert 23 évnél fiatalabbként foglaltam az autót, pedig már 7 éve van jogosítványom és nem is én vezettem az autót, hanem 23 évnél id sebb személy, csak én foglaltam a repjeggyel együtt. Az átíratás nem m ködött volna egyszer en, le kellett volna mondani és ügyfélszolgálaton telefonon keresztül újra foglalni. Másrészt, reggel 8-kor indult vissza a repül nk, így szintén plusz díjba került, hogy el tte vissza tudjuk adni az autót. Illetve a biztosíték összegre a 2700 eurót borzasztóan soknak találjuk.

People working there are very kind and helpful. They do their job at the highest level. I had a small accident causing damage of the car and thanks to their approach everything went smooth :) I highly recommend!

Je nach Buchungsportal unterscheiden sich die Kosten und das Deposit sehr. Mitarbeiter und Fahrzeug top, alles war gut. Die Straßen auf Madeira sind sehr hügelig. Nächstes Mal würde ich ein Automatik-Fahrzeug nehmen, aber auch ein kleines Auto mit 6-Gang-Schaltung hat alle Berge geschafft.

Es hat alles sehr gut geklappt .In unserem Ford Focus war sogar ein Navi,womit wir nicht gerechnet hatten. Das Auto hatte nur 4641 km gelaufen und kam sehr gut die Berge hoch. Die Kontrolle vorher und nachher war sehr gründlich und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Jederzeit wieder

Very flexible company as they adapted to our flight schedule. The car we rented (Fiat 500) was in good shape and took us all around the island (altough a bit slower uphill :)). The deposit we payed via credit card in advance was payed back smoothly.

We rented a Fiat 500 for a week, a car fit for the island, slower uphill but manages well. No problems occured throughout the rental.

The car was in a good condition and all started off well. When I returned the car they found scratches on the undersider of the front skirt ( a place not visible to anyone without lying down underneath the car!!!). I had not checked this area (I rented a lot of cars in my past but never had to check underneath) and thus was not able to check for any existing damages via the fotos I had made during pickup. As I never hit a stone, rock or bump badly during the rental I assume these small scratches wer already there from the start and the company simply found a way to make some extra money by invoicing me.

Empresa que se dedica a burlar Turistas na Madeira. Não aconselho. Procurem outra empresa. Entregam os carros já com riscos e depois cobram 300 euros para pintar um para choques. É esquema. Não arrisquem.

Fantastic rental car experience in Madeira! Very helpful and friendly staff. Pickup and drop off was flawless. I have to admit that I have never written an car rental review but this one was outstanding so I had to.

Alugamos um veículo por 30 dias. Tudo ocorreu muito bem. A equipe de atendimento muito boa tanto na retirada quanto na devolução do veículo. Tudo perfeito, voltarei a utiliza-los.

New Car Rental operator in Madeira, but very good. We had a car for 10 days and from pick-up in the airport with the shuttle until returning of the car everything was very good. The people are very friendly and really enjoy their job - that s good for being with customers! My only comment on the KIA SUV we had was that the power is a little weak for the hilly Island - and they confirmed right away that they already have this on their list (as they are working only a couple of months on Madeira, that s just fair and we still managed to climb every hill, even sometimes only in first gear ;-) ).

We have just left Madeira and wanted to thank Drive On Holidays for their great service. Like many people Id worried about the hire car situation in Madeira as Id seen nightmare reviews etc etc and I spent aa long time deciding on who to go with. I booked with drive on holidays... £450 xs, one free driver via Zest. We were met at the airport at 11 pm at night (our plane was 2o mins late no problem) with a guy with a board, straight into the minibus 7 minute ride to check out the car. Immediate checkout we got a different model, but same grade car (Nissan Juke automatic) new car 2500 miles on the clock. We had a hold placed on a credit card for the amount and paid £30 cash locally (which we knew about in advance for out of hours pick up) the guy walked us round the car, showed us one mark. He then said it was fine for us to relook at the car in the am and whatsapp him anything if we saw anything else in daylight (we didnt) We were offered xs protection, but not pushed when I declined (I have an annual policy to cover this which is only £30 a yer so better than paying per hire) The car was spot on. On handing back, the chap did a walk around, okd it, the minibus was there to take us to the airport immediately and then he even went and got usa trolley to put our luggage on. Super nice people. Can not fault!

Had a great experience with this company. We had a late night flight that arrived extra late due to weather. Expedia had the wrong number listed for the after hours contact so we had to taxi to our accommodations. However, the next morning Ricardo was very helpful and genuinely concerned, even taking notes in order to get the correct contact info sent to Expedia. Check in and returning the car were both very quick as well.

1 ster is nog te veel! Nog nooit zo n slechte ervaring gehad met een autoverhuurbedrijf. Wij kwamen s nachts toe en werden verplicht om een verzekering te nemen van 270 euro die zogezegd NO RISK was! Wanneer we vertrokken merkten we al snel op dat de motor van de auto niet geschikt voor de hellingen in Madeira! We contacteerden hen met de vraag of we konden upgraden (we gingen dit betalen) gezien we veel wandelingen in hoge bergen wouden doen. Ze zeiden dat we de auto zelf konden terugrijden, maar dit zagen we niet zitten omdat we de motor niet wouden beschadigen. Nadien probeerden ze in ons schoenen te schuiven dat wij de versnellingsschijven kapot zouden gemaakt hebben door fout gebruik. We zijn nooit boven de 3000 toeren gegaan en hebben onze verantwoordelijk opgesteld door de firma te contacteren VOOR er een probleem was! Volgens hen was de motor aan het roken en hebben wij de auto fout gebruikt. Dit klopt helemaal niet. Ook de dure verzekering die NO RISK had, was plots niks meer waard! Dit hebben wij nog nooit meegemaakt en we hopen dat niemand dit ooit meemaakt! Bekijk goed te reviews op trustpilot! Boek nooit via dit autoverhuurbedrijf!!!!

THEY SAID TO BRING BACK THE CAR. WE SAID THAT WE DID NOT WANT TO BREAK THE CAR WITH DRIVING UP THE HILL WITH FULL LOADED CAR AND THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO SEND A TOWING TRUCK. THE CAR WAS NEVER TOWED. WE PUSHED TO GET PROOF THAT IT WAS ACTUALLY TOWED AND THAT THEY DID NOT DRIVE UP THE HILL THEMSELVES. THE CERTIFICT THAT THEY GAVE US HAS DATE AND HOUR. 12h30 THE CAR WAS TOWED. BUT WE WERE AT OUR CAR UNTIL TAXI CAME AT 12h41 (see picture) THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE DID NOT SEE A TOWING TRUCK EITHER. One star is still generous. We booked the car via booking with all-inclusive insurance. When we picked up the car, they suddenly forced us to take out additional insurance of 300. And she checkmated us, since we had already paid for the car and it was 3:00 am. During our trip the armor was defective, so we called customer service (after a 14% incline). They told us to continue driving anyway, because they would not tow the car if it was not completely defective. We stood our ground and demanded a new car and to be towed. Ultimately they went along with this. When we got there, they demanded that we pay 2100 for possible costs. They also said that these costs would not be refunded if it turned out after a report from their impartial garage that the defect was our fault. They managed to say that embriage would always be our fault. They did not want to give us a new car on the Sunday that we paid the 2100. When we threatened with a bad review, like real Karens do, and after a long discussion, they gave us a new car without charging us. This was day 1 of our trip and we had to start the trip with this stress. We received the message that we would hear at the end of the trip whether or not we had to pay. Which made this trip stressful instead of relaxing. When we returned the car, they wanted us to pay 800 on the spot, but had no proof of these costs, or that the damage was our fault. We have lost 3 days of our holiday due to your misconduct. @drive in holidays: we have seen that you keep removing the bad reviews. If you think that after this experience it is not our personal mission to repost the review every so often, you are wrong. @everyone: a tip, look at trustpilot :)

Agence parfaite pour une location à madeire. Les véhicules sont neufs, assez puissants pour l île et confortable. Le personnel est très sympa. Une navette est mis en place pour venir nous chercher à l aéroport et nous ramener.

Schnelle, einfache und günstige Autovermietung. Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass sie nicht direkt am Flughafen ist, sondern man von einem Shuttle abgeholt und ca. 5 Minuten später zum Autoplatz gebracht wird. Das ist alles aber sehr unkompliziert. Nette Menschen, die probieren viel möglich zu machen. Mein Auto war ein Neuwagen mit rund 50km bei Anmietung, ich kann kann nichts negatives berichten. Man sollte sich halt immer den Wagen gut im Vorfeld angucken, damit im Nachhinein keine Unklarheiten auftreten. Ich hab eine Versicherung von der Onlineplattform gewählt, wo ich das Auto gebucht habe, so habe ich natürlich die Versicherung von Drive on Holidays abgelehnt- das ging aber problemlos. Am Abreisetag konnte ich mein Gepäck noch in der Filiale deponieren, habe dies Abends abgeholt und wurde zum dann Flughafen gefahren. ***** alles top

Probably a good company when all goes well, but in my case it didnt. Buyers beware, but theres better car rentals in Madeira, I suggest you look elsewhere. Rented a car through an online booking system with this company and upon arrival my credit card wasnt accepted. At this point my long term rental was already paid. But my credit card wasnt accepted to put the deposit on: so they wouldnt give me the car - or give me any other options. Best thing I can say is that I did get a trip back to the airport so I could rent through a different rental, but did not get the money back from my booking. I wouldnt have expected everything back; I also paid for insurance on a car that I didnt get - but I would expect something back for renting a car you didnt receive.

Worst experience ever! They didn t want to accept out credit card and force us to do some insurance!!! We shouldn t pay for that and they did the same to another customer when we were giving car back! Don t rent with them and we will start legal actions against this behavior. It s scam so do rent with them even if its only option in the evening. It s better to wait until next day and rent directly in Funchal close to hotels

We hired a car for a week and were so impressed with the efficient and friendly service we received from the team at Drive on Holidays. We were collected promptly from the airport by a really enthusiastic lady who told us lots of anecdotes on our short drive to the rental office. The pick up was very smooth and all the staff were friendly and so helpful. We had the same efficient service at our return and would thoroughly recommend them.

sabstenir! drive on holidays est une société frauduleuse. sous prétexte de ne pas pouvoir prélever / restituer la somme de garantie ni sur ma carte VISA OR ni sur la MASTERCARD PLATINUM de ma compagne, ils exigent une souscription à leur assurance full risk pour pouvoir prendre la voiture - ce qui double quasiment le prix de location. le tout sest produit en pleine nuit et lagence à distance de laéroport - sans possibilité donc de se tourner vers un autre loueur de voitures. tous les autres clients présents à lagence étaient confrontés à la même situation.

They are scammers. Do not recommend this company. They demand extra money despite we have paid full insurance and rent online. Besides, they didn t return us our save deposit(more than 10 days of waiting) , but we won t leave it like that of course!

Very friendly people and we used a pretty new Seat Ibiza for a week. Beautiful car and beautiful drives around the island. Can recommend (some people always whine for whatever reason and post bad reviews here, believe whomever you want).

Servicio pésimo. No nos vinieron a recoger al aeropuerto y tuvimos que desplazarnos en taxi. Al día siguiente acudimos a las oficinas a retirar el coche y no nos descontaron un día de alquiler a pesar de ser su culpa ya que no nos recogieron ni respondían a los dos teléfonos de contacto. A mayores nos obligaron a pagar un extra de 90 por querer depositar la fianza con tarjeta de débito en lugar de débito. Llevo años viajando y es la primera experiencia de este tipo. No recomiendo

Mala experiencia. Indicamos el vuelo en el que llegábamos para que nos recogiera el shuttle pero jamás apareció. Llamamos y no vinieron, con lo cual tuvimos que pedir un taxi que nos llevara a hacer el check in. Al día siguiente fuimos a la oficina a recoger el coche y nos obligaron a contratar un seguro de 90 euros por usar una tarjeta de débito ya que no nos quisieron devolver el dinero a pesar de habernos dejado tirados en el aeropuerto el día anterior. En general parecen usar trucos para intentar hacer dinero de cualquier forma.

Muy recomendable. Aparecieron muy puntuales en el aeropuerto para recogernos, el lugar de la entrega del coche está a tres minutos reales. Recibimos un coche nuevo que estaba en perfecto estado y que subía las cuestas de Medeira sin problemas. Los empleados son muy correctos, nos explicaron todo muy bien y sin sorpresas de última hora en la contratación. Sin duda alguna cuando volvamos a Madeira repetiremos.

Brengen je bagage van de bus naar je toegekende auto en willen hetzelfs voor je in de auto leggen. Lopen samen met je rondom de auto voor de eventuele aanwezige krassen of kleine deukje te laten zien en het avontuur kan beginnen. Volle tank krijg je mee en verwachten ook dat je de tank ook weer helemaal vult bij afleveren. Al.met al aanrader

Had an overall positive experience here after booking through Expedia. Pickup was smooth although we waited about 15 minutes at the airport. The shuttles are BRIGHT ORANGE. You can t miss them. We left a credit card for deposit since we did not get the insurance. The car was extremely reliable and took us all around the island. Car return was smooth; they open at 8am so if you need to return earlier double check with them. Very very friendly staff!

They dont accept Revolut cards. I had to buy insurance for double price. Not recommend at all. Double price and out of airport.

Very bad experience we went for 2 weeks holiday and the company charge me 520 for insurance plus 50 on to wash the car very poor company and is greedy to get money from the customer....I never see insurance very hi for 2 weeks never rent again on this company..drive in holiday is greedy and I belive is a new company want to get rich in 1 year NEVER AGAIN

Overall a very pleasant experience, everything went smoothly for pick up and drop off. The staff was very friendly and fun/nice to talk to. The car itself was new, only had 1500km on the clock. For anyone renting a car in madeira if you are not comfortable driving steep hills, maybe reconsider if you want to actually drive I had fun, some places were more than 26%! Especially in the cities

The fact that the card machines CANNOT read a VISA credit card, and that youre forced to buy a 180EUR insurance on top of a full insurance you can prove to obtain through an agency is highly suspicious. Seeing all the reviews, Ill make sure Ill never be back again.

I used this company in Jan 2024 and they were excellent. The shuttle from the airport was on time, the staff were very pleasant, the car was brand new (50km on the clock). Full insurance was offered but certainly not forced; I didnt purchase it. They do take Visa or mastercard credit card for the deposit, contrary to other reviews (but not Amex). They thoroughly inspected the vehicle when it was returned but there was no damage so my deposit was returned without issue. An excellent experience and a company I would use again.

I had a great experience renting a car for a month from Drive on Holidays Madeira. Excellent service with very accommodating staff and no hassle with the car or made up damages. I made some minor changes to my booking and was helped with no problem. Of course they suggested I should purchase their insurance when I picked up the car but no issues when I declined as I of course had the necessary amount avaliable for reservation on my credit card. Normally I would never bother making reviews online but I saw quite a few poor reviews for this place and thought I need to balance things up.

Nous navons rien à reprocher au véhicule. Par contre, nous avons trouvé que le service était mauvais. Nous avions contracté lassurance Axa avec Cartrawler et lagente nous a revendu une autre assurance alors que nous étions déjà couverts ! Bien sûr, nous navons pas pu récupérer notre dû suite à notre réclamation sur cette double assurance.
