Bra pris och inga dolda kostnader. Trevlig personal men den Peugeot i lilla klassen vi fick var helt utsliten. Den orkade inte upp för backar på lägsta växel, blev omkörda av mindre bilar samt att den stannade på tomgång. Hade önskat en bil i bättre skick!

Je recommande a 100%, on a eu une superbe C3 air cross pour une semaine et aucun problème. Je trouve que les prix sont très raisonnables même si on prend une assurance. Driving Madeira were amazing! Really easy to book a car online and they were extremely accommodating when me and my partner wanted to extend our contract with the car for an extra 2 days, cannot recommend them enough!

Super helpful and professional. I was an idiot who left on the car lights when leaving our car, so when I came back to the car the battery had died. It was in the middle of nowhere, and close to the closing time of the shop. Still they immediately drove about an hour with a replacement car (which was actually nicer than the original car), so we wouldnt be stranded for the night. We had no insurance, so we paid 200 extra for the replacement car, having someone driving it out to us and the replacement of the battery in the original car, which I think is a very fair price. All of this was handled very professionally by the shop. Would definitely recommend!

For such a good price we got a lovely Fiat 500 Cabrio which was in great condition and got us up all the steep hills easily. On pickup they were waiting for us at the airport, and on return a quick walk around the car and the deposit was returned. Stress free experience all round, highly recommend for anyone looking to rent a car in Madeira!

Hier kann man problemlos ein Auto für wenig Geld mieten, wir haben für eine Woche Clio mit Zusatzversicherung 140 bezahlt, die Kaution wird per Kreditkarte hinterlegt und wurde nach ordnungsgemäßer Rückgabe auch wieder entfernt. Falls es Probleme gibt sind sie jederzeit erreichbar. Klare Empfehlung!

Personnel respectueux et serviable. Jai oublié mon permis à lhôtel il mont ramené à une de leurs agence la plus proche de mon hôtel pour aller le chercher et pouvoir prendre le véhicule. Véhicule neuf (9k km) jai demandé à la garder 1 demi journée en plus sans aucun supplément. Merci beaucoup !

Je recommande sans hésitation cette agence pour une location de voiture à Madère, équipe très sympathique. La voiture était parfaite pour notre séjour, nous avions eu une C3 automatique en essence, peu importe lendroit, nous navons eu aucun problème pour y monter (niveau puissance). Les équipes nessayent pas de vous vendre des assurances supplémentaires comme cest le cas dans beaucoup dagences de location ... Attention pour information, jentendais quil faut avoir 21 ans pour louer sur lîle peu importe lagence de location par contre.

Absolute scam, be careful! They will promise you a car and then rent it out to someone else. Not even apologizing. I was a regular customer, but now never again. You can get lucky with them but be prepared to be scammed.

During the Covid period, they were helpful, which is no longer the case today because demand is high. When we confirmed the car, they asked us for some information and 2 minutes later they said that there were no cars available. Unbelievable lack of respect and lack of professionalism.

We rented a car for a week, pick up and return process was fast and smooth, staff is super friendly and helpful. The car we got was in good condition, drove us everywhere around the island. No issues whatsoever. Definitely would rent from this agency again.

Rental office in Sao Martinho (Funchal) is great place to rent a car from. Very easy process , helpful stuff. Truly great experience, would rent again from them next time in Funchal. And good prices if booked months in advance or even a few days .

Einwandfrei, hatten ein Auto per Internet direkt auf der Seite von Driving Madeira gebucht, am nächsten Tag haben wir den Wagen abgeholt, allerdings gab es ein besseres Auto da unser Wagen nicht mehr vorhanden war - ganz ohne Aufpreis. Alles Top, nicht das was man von anderen Autovermietern so auf der Insel hier lesen kann . Und ein Navi hatte das Auto auch noch kostenlos. Sehr zu empfehlen!! Wir werden hier wieder ein Auto mieten wenn wir die Insel besuchen.

Highly highly recommend!! We were able to rent a car within the same day. They take awhile to respond on WhatsApp but if you call, they pick up immediately. Explained everything well without any hidden cost. You can rent their basic vehical for 19.50 a day and with insurance, its 44.50, it could be good if you want the extra protection. We decided to go without insurance. The car worked perfectly fine. Returning the car was easy with no hassle and the woman was so friendly. Best part was Andre gave us some wonderful recommendations for places to see and eat. We visited 3 out of the 4 recommended restaurants and all of them were delicious. Would rent from them again!! You can also get coffee from their machine for 40 cents

Recommended! We book last minute but the whole process was very fast and the staff was helpfull and very responsive ( phone/whatsapp)! We got a Renault Capture Diesel with full insurance that allowed us to book the car without credit card! The car was perfect and with enough power to go easly up the hills. Great places for rent a car. I got better price and car than should for normal price which was lowest than in other car rental. Especcily support from Andrea was the best. Great experience. Would definitely recommend to everyone and use it again if I come back to Madeira. Staff (Andre) was very nice. We rented a Group B car (Renault Clio) which was perfect for us. I would recommend to take the full insurance to not have to worry (Madeira is full of cliffs). They even let us take the car 20 minutes before we were supposed to, and when giving it back it was so quick. Everything was perfect!

First of all we want to thank Andrei for helping us out, really nice guy and very helpful. We asked here for a car on the 14th of March. We knew that it was nearly impossible to get a car on the same day. But Andrei was really helpful and organized us a car. We got a really nice Fiat 500 for a good price there. Also the whole process was really uncomplicated and easy. All in all we would definitely recommend this car rental and we also would rent again if we are in Funchal.

Thank you so much Driving Madeira!! I was really anxious about renting a car and driving around Madeira. I had read so many horror stories about scam companies and being charged for pre-existing scratches etc. I also took one look at the steep, narrow roads and thought Ive got to manage that, on the opposite side of the road, with the gears in the wrong hand?!. But please let me reassure you, I had an excellent time and thoroughly enjoyed my Madeiran driving experience! Driving Madeira offered full SCDW which means youre fully insured, with NO deposit to pay and NO excess if theres an accident. Straight away this put my mind at ease, I didnt have to worry about possibly owing thousands of pounds. Secondly, they provided an excellent vehicle (Renault Clio 1.5), it was small enough for easy parking and fitting on the narrow streets, yet big and powerful enough to not feel like you were struggling to get up the hills. The air conditioning was crisp and it was diesel which made hill starts a piece of cake. When we picked the car up we were greeted by a lovely man (Im so sorry Ive forgotten his name) and he was really friendly. We are an LGBT couple and always feel a bit nervous in foreign countries but he didnt bat an eyelid or make any rude comments. He gave us some really good driving tips and moved the car to an easy place to set off from. Really helpful, great start to the day. As for the roads, I worried for nothing. 99% of our driving was done on the main roads which were smooth, wide and quiet. It was ten times easier than driving in the UK! We drove the whole island and had zero issues. Once Id gotten used to the car we did drive to a few more adventurous locations for the walks and high views but they were fine, keep in a low gear, keep it slow, no problems. We rented a car for a day during our stay last week and decided to rent one again the following day. They were really easy to work with. They were right across from our hotel which was even better. Theyre about a 10 minute walk (uphill) from the town centre. The car was in great condition, nothing wrong with it, and great value. We would definitely recommend renting a car while in Madeira, and we were very happy with this company.

We highly recommend Driving Madeira for your rental car needs on the island. They made the process very enjoyable and efficient. Andre met us right at the airport and walked us across to the parking lot to pick up our vehicle. He was friendly, welcoming and excited for us to experience Madeira. We took care of all the rental housekeeping there and we were off to explore in no time. When we needed to extend our trip due to a flight cancellation, Driving Madeira was very accommodating. Andre once again met us the next day in the same location to drop off the car and we headed right into the departure terminal. We will definitely be using this company next year when we return to Madeira.

This was by far the best car renting experience I ve had in any country, and I m well traveled. You choose to rent with our without insurance and you are out. No one keeps trying to sell you different plans. They are funny and friendly. My dog also approved. Totally recommend them.

I d recommend driving Maderia for renting a car while there, the service was great throughout and seamless! I d suggest getting a diesel car and a suv if possible (automatic) as smaller cars may be not as powerful for some of the very steep hills on the mountains but depends what your plans are! Overall very happy, also I d recommend getting the full insurance for full peace of mind and to save time.

Nous sommes partis à madère qui est connue pour ses routes extrêmement pentues, nous avions réservé une clio, or nous avons eu une Mitsubishi très peu puissante donc pas adaptée du tout, les freins et les pneus étaient extrêmement fatigués sinon la compagnie de location vient nous chercher à l aéroport et nous ramène ce qui est pratique

Freundliches Personal, vollständige Aufnahme (unbedeutender) Vorschäden durch den Mitarbeiter, ohne dass auf etwas hingewiesen werden musste. Sehr gepflegtes Fahrzeug (Fiat 500). Problemlose Rücknahme ohne großen Zeitaufwand. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!!!

Great rental! We took Fiat500 for 7 days, booked in advance, as there may be fewer cars when renting upon arrival. And great service - when returning the car, we arrived by it near the airport and were taken straight to the departures. As for the cons - the car had a slightly dirty interior and the wipers did not work well, but in general we are very satisfied and recommend this service!

Still have not received my deposit back after delivering the car back and them signing off on it being fine, and saying my deposit will be returned.

Le service est très bien et compétitif niveau prix. Le seul petit bémol est quil ny a pas dagence à laéroport donc ils viennent nous chercher devant laéroport, nous emmène au lieu de récupération de la voiture et idem pour le retour ( donc pas très libre surtout pour le retour.. Javais peur quils narrivent pas à lheure prévue pour nous emmener à laéroport, mais tout sest très bien passé, ils étaient avant nous sur le lieu de retour de la voiture, rapide tour de vérification et rendu de la caution en 5 minutes!)

Petit bémol, il n est pas possible de payer la caution par chèque (carte bancaire moyennant plafond bancaire). Très pratique de pouvoir rendre le véhicule à l aéroport, cependant le retour était plus que rapide : aucune vérification du véhicule, ni de signature de retour, ce qui nous a légèrement déstabilisé.

We rented a car for a week, good cars, just a shame that the 24/7 help line was already closed at 22:00 hours. If you are really in trouble they wont respond till the next day. You should take a look at that.

No credit card required. Used a debit card instead. Hired a fiat 500 cabrio for a few days without insurance. Great car and the guy was very nice and friendly. He spend great effort in marking all pre-existing scratches but on return accepted the car with a mere glance. No insurance means high deposit but I got the full deposit back instantly.

Très bonne expérience de location. Ils sont venus nous chercher alors que notre vol avait 2h de retard et quon était après les heures douvertures. Fabio nous a fait le départ et le retour. Il est super sympa et cest avec un grand plaisir que nous repasserons une location avec eux.

Ich hatte einen Mietwagen von Zuhause aus direkt bei Driving Madeira gebucht. Ich habe den Wagen, wie verabredet, abgeholt. Die Dame am Empfang war sehr freundlich. Der Wagen war fast neu, knapp 5000 km und gepflegt. Ich bekam keine weiteren Extras aufgeschwatzt. Ich kann diesen Vermieter nur empfehlen. Gerne wieder nächstes Mal.

Von zu Hause aus hatte ich über die Website einen Fiat 500 gemietet. Der Preis war sehr fair und mit anderen Vermietern nicht zu vergleichen. Als ich den Wagen abholte war die Dame vor Ort sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es wurde mir keine Zusatzversicherung angedreht. Und auch die Aufnahme der Vorschäden erledigte die Damen gewissenhaft. So fuhr ich mit dem Auto die Berge hoch und runter und hatte Spaß die Insel zu erkunden. Leider musste mich nach einigen Tagen vom Auto wieder trennen, weil die Mietdauer zu Ende ging. Die Rückgabe erfolgte genauso unkompliziert wie Übergabe. Ein TOP Vermieter. Jederzeit würde ich hier wieder ein Auto mieten. Vielen Dank.

WARNING - Do NOT hire a car from this company. EXTRA CHARGES. ** 304 charge for a puncture** You only get the true measure of a company when things go wrong. We got a puncture three days in on the car we hired. I put the space saver spare wheel on and contacted Driving Madeira Rent a Car. They told me to bring that car back in and they would swop it for a replacement vehicle. When I arrived at their office, after being ignored by the lady for five minutes whilst she sat texting her friend, she told me there was a 304 charge for TWO new tyres (despite there being only 1 puncture). She explained that they weren t interested in trying to repair the puncture and I had to pay for TWO new tyres so the tred on both wheels (on the back) would be the same. This seemed grossly unfair when that second tyre wasn t damaged but, what upset us even more was when we inspected the tyres, they had next to no tred left on them and in our opinion, were dangerous. *THE TYRES WERE ALMOST BALD* Under EU Law, tyres must have a minimum tred of 1.6mm on. In my opinion, the rear tyres on the original vehicle Driving Madeira Rent a Car hired to me didn t have that legal EU tred depth. You can clearly see from the picture that they fail the uro coin test and as such, those tyres should have been replaced a long time ago. In my view - if safety was a priority for this company, with Madeira s steep & winding roads, they wouldn t have allowed that car to go out with those tyres on. **OLD and DIRTY Cars** The replacement vehicle I was given was over four years old. It was covered in dents and scraps and was very dirty inside AND had an ANT INFESTATION. When I returned the car, they tried to charge me a 25 CLEANING FEE , despite the fact that dirt was deeply ground in to the seats and was like that when I received it (see picture). *The staff here aren t particularly friendly. I was promised a call back from the Manager about the puncture and that never happened and there was just a total indifference to us. * AVOID this company at all cost - I m sure there s far better rental companies in Madeira who won t try and extort money out of you. They ruined our holiday.

Wir haben uns bei Driving Madeira für unseren ersten Madeira-Aufenthalt für vier Tage zwei 125er Roller gemietet. Der Mitarbeiter sprach sehr gut englisch und so hat er uns kurzerhand zwei Optionen angeboten. 20 /Tag und Fahrzeug mit 400 Kaution, oder 25 /Tag incl. Vollkaskoversicherung und ohne Kaution. Mit im Paket waren zu den Honda PCX (12 Ps) zwei neue Jethelme und ein Topcase. Die Roller hatten gerade mal 400km auf dem Tacho und waren praktisch neu. Preis-/Leistung ist damit wirklich top. Wir hatten auch einige andere Verleiher angefragt, die waren aber meist teurer und die Roller in keinem vergleichbaren Zustand. Wir können Driving Madeira daher nur weiterempfehlen.

The fully insured car was great and powerful enough to get us up the steep roads (Renault Clio Diesel). We even got suggestions to taking some scenic routes Returning the car was easy and fast. . I have emailed them to ask about availability, got the reply with the price, I have cinfirmed the price, they confirmed reservation. No credit card, no ID or driving license details. I have chosen insurance what covers all. Please note that some companys in Madeira states cdw or scdw covers all but after you read conditions you can see that one of the mentioned below, or few, or all of them might not be included, for example bottom of the car, glass of the windows, mirrors, tyres. With FBI it covers all - except lost of the key, documents, or any other negligence (wrong fuel for example). Collecting the car took about 10min max. Dropping off 2min. Thank you for good experience and all the best for all the team.

Easily one of the best car rental experiences I ve had. It was a bit of a walk up to the rental centre, but once there it could not be smoother. Andre Silva met us and quickly walked through our booking. Our car was ready and waiting, and he was really friendly and polite. It really brightened our experience, compared to the usual car hire experience of waiting for ages and then just wanting to get out. The car was also clean and modern, and a joy to drive. The only thing I would suggest is changing the fuel policy. Having to return the car with the same level of fuel is quite annoying for customers, who risk either over filling or have to figure out how much to fill. Much easier to just ask for the fuel tank to be full. Takes the confusion out. I would definitely rent from them again when I m in Madeira next!

At the desk office we met friendly guy who let us to ask to our questions. With full insurance you dont have to leave any deposit and even returning car was easy. You can either return car in office hours or leave the keys in the box. The car we rent was Fiat 500 with a few scratches but technically it was well maintained and we had no issues with them so we could enjoy our trip. Happy to recommend to others. One thing Id mention and its a bit annoyingly unclear is returning car with same fuel level since you have no idea how much fuel youve burn (in liters because every car have different tank) you dont know how much fuel you should refuel on station to return it with the same level in the tank

We rented a class A vehicle for 2 days and got a free upgrade to a cabriolet version of the Fiat 500 which was definitely worth it, driving with the roof down was great. I didnt put the insurance on when I booked online and the sales guy didnt try to hard sell it to me at all, but I chose to take it after experiencing the roads via bus! It is expensive (more so than the car rental) but worth the peace of mind - Madeira roads are not for the faint of heart... Overall a perfect rental service, if we come back to Madeira this will be the company we hire from.

We were more than satisfied with the service. The staff welcomed us nicely and gave useful advice. They were even flexible and we could get a different vehicle as we considered the one we reserved to be too big after all. To keep the car one day longer was also not a problem. The car (a Renault Clio) was new, low mileage and in excellent shape. It had GPS. The rates we reasonable and lower than a lot of other offers. Coming back to Madeira we will be happy to book with them again.

Apesar das reviews positivas, a nossa experiência com DrivingMadeira foi negativa. O carro foi-nos entregue cheio de riscos e marcas. Fizemos um pequeno dano na base da antena do carro, que reportamos imediatamente e foi-nos orçamentado um valor completamente abusivo pelo arranjo (praticamente metade do valor da caução). Pedimos para falar com o gerente, que se mostrou indisponível para falar connosco por se encontrar em reunião. A solução apresentada pela gerência foi alugarmos o carro mais um dia e procedermos ao arranjo fora da oficina. Esta sugestão ofendeu-nos profundamente uma vez que demonstra que neste caso a desonestidade teria compensado. Depois de uma hora, o orçamento baixou 150 , sem terem sido retirados serviços. Ou seja, já estava completamente inflacionado inicialmente. Agimos de boa fé e por respeito à empresa que até então não tinha falhado connosco, mas ao apresentar um orçamento completamente desajustado (que inclui serviços desnecessários), consideramos que fomos desrespeitados enquanto clientes. Deixamos uma reclamação formal e contactámos a empresa de forma a obter ressarcimento. Não recomendo, aproveitam-se da boa vontade dos clientes.

Goede autoverhuur met prettige medewerkers. Auto stonden netjes klaar en alle administratie was in orde. Ook bij terugkomst werd de auto weer netjes in ontvangst genomen zonder onnodige discussie. Foi uma óptima experiência e a escolha certa para alugar um carro na Madeira. O staff é muito profissional e tudo fizeram para que a nossa estadia corresse bem (e correu). Enganei-me no acto da marcação e se não me tivessem contactado, teria chegado à Madeira sem carro, mas não só não aconteceu como houve mais escolha de automóveis no acto de levantamento. Dica importante: escolham um carro a gasóleo. As estradas são muito inclinadas e o binário dos carros diesel é imprescindível para uma condução menos esforçada, logo mais segura e menos gastadora. No caso, um Nissan Micra 1.5 dci de 90cv (motor Renault) foi o herói da viagem. Obrigado ao Nuno e ao André pela simpatia e profissionalismo! =D

Extremely good experience with this company. Booked two days rental via booking.com, when we arrived we were sorted out in very short time, with a member of the team going around the car and checking it with us for damage, and also showing us the controls and the vehicle documentation. Similarly on return, extremely quick to get the vehicle booked back in, again a walk round the vehicle to confirm no damage, and our deposit refunded there and then.

We have rented Renault Clio via Rentalcars website. Everything went smoothly, car was new and nice, service was very kind. If anyone hesitate if it s worth renting car on Madiera I totally recommend that - it gives you freedom to discover the island. However driving car on Madeira is rather challenging and for rather experienced drivers.

Perfect car rental company! We had a car from them for one month and we were very happy with the service, so we rented another one from them later. Easy communication, nice staff, deposit with debit card as well, no pressure to use their insurance, clean car in the good condition. They have very good prices if you want to drive alone. You pay per day if you want second driver, which is quite unusual at Madeira. Otherwise best price for longer rental :)

One of my favourites rental car companies Ive ever used! Short phone call and 2 hours later pick-up the car from hotel. The staff very kind and helpful. No problems with the return, deposit released after few days (Ive been informed about it). I highly recommend this company and will definitely use it during my next trip to Madeira.
