Wir haben sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht - es ging vor Ort schnell und unkompliziert, ebenso auch bei der Rückgabe. Der Mitarbeiter war sehr freundlich und professionell. Hatten einen relativ neuen Fiat Panda und das hat gut gepasst fürs Herumkommen auf der Insel! Gebucht hatten wir über Rentalcars.com - Vorort ist dann vorab noch eine Gebühr fürs Waschen/reinigen fällig (20 ) - ist aber durchaus fair!

Haben für zwei Tage bei Marco einen Panda gemietet! Fairer preis sehr unkompliziert gutes Fahrzeug. Marco toller Typ und spricht auch wenig deutsch. Immer wieder gerne!

4 stelle perché avevamo pagato per unauto di classe superiore ma ce ne han data una inferiore, non proprio appropriata per i sali-scendi delle strade di Madeira (a volte saliva a fatica!). Per pareggiare i conti ci hanno tolto i costi del lavaggio, aggiunto il secondo guidatore e dato il parcheggio gratuito per una settimana. Corretti nel congelare il deposito. Meglio di altri operatori del settore!

I rented the car here from Rentalcars by booking application. Then I arrived. It was very late. Manager patiently waited for me. But I got scared, may be it s my bad. Gold watches bald with tattoos. I felt uncomfortable there. Unfortunately I couldn t reach out rentalcars to get at least some money back. At least a saved my deposit anyway.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Unsafe cars, unpleasant and agressive owner + you may get cheated on (check other comments) Please be careful with this agency. They will try to find minimal scratches that were already there to charge you extra. Apart from this, the return proces was extremely unpleasant, with the owner being agressive and disrespectful (we arrived 10 minutes late). Unsafe car, it vibrated a lot when braking. For your safety and peace of mind, please find another rental agency. Edit following owners response: please read other recent reviews and check this was not a one-time issue

HORRIBLE! Personalmente no recomiendo esta agencia. Los frenos del coche estaba en mal estado, al frenar el coche empezaba a vibrar y eso no daba nada de seguridad. Y encima nos han cobrado unos daños que ya estaban. Intentamos hablar con ellos, el hombre que nos atendió empezó a gritar, que a él le da igual y que lo único que quiere es terminar e ir a su casa y el jefe/dueño de la agencia, también gritando diciéndonos que no y que nos mandará la factura que descontarán de la fianza. Para mí, es la definición perfecta de lo barato sale caro ..

Wij hebben een fiat panda gehuurd voor 5 dagen. De auto deed het goed. Bij het ophalen van de auto deed het pinapparaat niet goed of was ons eigen maximum van de creditcard te laag, waardoor de borg niet giraal geblokkeerd kon worden. Er was een pinautomaat in de buurt, dus was dit zo opgelost. Bij het inleveren waren er geen problemen. De borg kregen we terug en het verliep allemaal soepel. Wij zijn geholpen door Pedro. Een eerlijke en aardige man!

Loueur à fuir ! Nous a laissé sans voiture et sans solution pour la semaine, suite à un retard de moins dune heure (problème à laéroport) quand nous nous sommes présentées à lagence pour récupérer le véhicule.

10 Minuten vom Kreuzfahrt Terminal entfernt in einer kleinen Seitenstraße. Einfaches Büro aber die Leute sind absolut seriös und mega freundlich. Auto mit Versicherung 45 Euro. Super sauber und wird gebracht. Es lohnt sich, keine Angst

first of all we were lied about the engine of the car. it was a lot smaller than they said and we had to strugle with car all our stay beacouse there are lot of really steep streets on the island. Also the owner and the employee were Extremley rude when we returned the car. There was a really small dent on the top of the car, wich probabilly was there before we got it. for that they wanted to keep the 700 deposit so we had to call the police. Overall, worse experience we had on the island

warning this is a message for future clients that may fall in this hideous trap that the owner of this business is managing. take caution! before renting from here, read carefully all the reviews and then make a decision! sadly we have not and we had to pay. we paid with our money and time for a situation that seemed planned before. i wont explain all the situation here, we already spent too much energy on this person. his repulsive attitude and character cand be confirmed by the previous comments of clients that have been even more affected than us. just take caution!

We were in Portugal for one week at the end of April. We used our credit card only two times during our trip, once here and once at EasyJet. Two weeks later our credit card was used fraudulently for more than 600 at online Portuguese stores. At the rental company, we had to write down our credit card information on paper, which felt very unsafe. We expressed our concerns about this credit card fraud to the rental company via email and asked for a reply with concrete actions they would take in order to prevent this from happening again in the future. We never received a reply.

I cannot legally prove anything but this is very suspicious. We rented a car here a few months ago. It was the only place during the entire trip where I used my credit card. Shortly after the trip my credit card data got stolen. I wrote a review right away. But the owners were very aggressive and pushy about me deleting it since I didnt have legal prove. But this morning I say two other reviews that experienced the exact same story of having their credit card data stolen..... Very very suspicious. Thats all I have to say.

Very interesting to see the latest reviews, sharing the same experience my friend and I made. We rented a car for our stay in Madeira, where we had to write down our credit card details for the car rental, which seemed very strange. When we brought this up we were referred to deposits and insurance reasons. A few days after we returned the car, several payments were made with the card. We didnt use the credit card anywhere else, so it could have only happened here. We wrote a Google review but were threatened with defamation and harassed via sms and phone call to take the review out. Since several customers are now obviously reporting the same problem, it is important to me to share our experience once again, so that this scam does not happen to more people.

Sconsiglio vivamente questo car rental poiché nel contratto chiede il codice segreto della carta di credito, una pratica molto scorretta e sconsigliata da qualsiasi banca. Tre mesi prima del nostro soggiorno a Funchal, abbiamo deciso di prenotare unauto presso FX, consigliati dal gestore del nostro hotel (lo stesso del car rental). Prima di arrivare sul posto, abbiamo deciso di vedere le recensioni e ci siamo in parte allarmati per i fatti raccontati nelle recensioni precedenti, e in parte rassicurati dalle risposte del gestore. Sfortunatamente, arrivati sul posto, il contratto di affitto dellauto prevedeva ancora la richiesta di tutti i dati della carta di credito (nome e cognome, data di scadenza, numero e codice segreto). Tale richiesta è stata giustificata per lassenza del deposito. A una nostra obiezione basata sulle recensioni e su quanto raccontato, ci è stato risposto in modo aggressivo con richieste di allontanamento. Abbiamo provato a capire se vi fossero alternative, considerando che in pieno agosto, non cerano altre disponibilità di noleggio sullisola, ma il proprietario e il suo dipendente ci hanno detto che non ci avrebbero noleggiato la macchina in ogni caso. Un comportamento ai limiti della legalità. Considerando inoltre che avendo tutti i dati di una carta si possono fare più che altro acquisti online. Fortemente sconsigliato.

Everything worked wonderfully. Before the rental, the condition of the moped was documented in detail. Compared to other rental companies, you have the option of renting the vehicle for just one day.

Unfortunately I was involved in an accident with the scooter I rented from this location, Although the contract was very clearly stating with regards to damage on the motorcycle, the own damage deductible is always the customers maximum responsibility and own damage and theft is covered by the insurance , they forced me to pay 400 euros additional to 100 euros deposit (total 500 euros), I felt blackmailed just because I was tourist and had no intention to destroy my vacations, terrible experience, I had to choose between bad and worse, I am sure they will charge insurance as well, Moreover, I was told by the police that it will take few days to be able to define who was at fault, still unknown to me Regardless, amazing people, great hospitality, beautiful sceneries, in Madeira just do not rent scooter from them

Great experience! New scooters and equipment of high standard. We were careful with the bikes and helmets, and so the full amount of the deposit was returned. This was by far the best price we could find in town. Probably the best way to explore the Island!

Super scooter rental. The scooters have a volume of 125 but fully sufficient for a ride in 2. My girlfriend and I drove about 160 km a day and nothing hurt us super ride. Consumption per 100km in 2 was 4.1l which is great for local hills. The price of 30 Euros was the best in Funchan. The scooters were new and clean and field refueled. I recommend

I would not recommend this car rental for young people. You have to be 25 years old for renting. Also in July is it not possible to rent a car for one or two days. So, reserve your car months before the holidays & be patient.

Wed rent the car 2 months in advance and today we picked it up. After making a payment, when were setting up in car (my Mom has a driving licence for 31 years!!!), the owner suddenly decided to cancel the contract. Not sure if other clients offered him more money to rent it. We have not been provided with alternate car rent companies. Dont recommended to anyone and wont come back here EVER AGAIN as they just ruined our stay on Madeira!!!

We called the company and got spontaneously a car for 5 days - everything went well, the car (Fiat Panda) was in a good condition and powerful enough for the hills of the island and the price was quite fair. The owner and one of his employees weve been in contact with were really nice.

The service was wonderful, fast and affordable! The staff made me feel very comfortable and helped me with everything! The cars are new and fantastic! The price is also affordable too. I highly recommend FX Rent-a-Car!

Super faire Autovermietung mit einem top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Neue Fahrzeuge, die gut ausgestattet sind und in einem perfekten Zustand übergeben werden. Wir konnten noch kurzfristig (einen Abend vorher) für zwei Tage einen Kleinwagen mieten. Es wird sich Zeit genommen und alles erläutert, absolut keine Abzocke! Beim nächsten Mal in Funchal kommen wir wieder!

Wir haben einen Fiat 500 für 4 Tage gemietet. Das Auto war neu mit weniger als 5000 Gesamtkilometern. Super Zustand und top gepflegt. Die Leute waren super nett und es war mega easy und ging schnell bis wir das Auto bekamen. Des Weiteren haben sie auch ein Hostel was man mal auschecken kann. Super zu empfehlen wenn man in Funchal ein Auto mieten möchte!

La.sede è presso un ostello, ma affittano auto e scooter. Contattati una mattina per.avere una piccola macchina subito, dopo che un altro operatore poco serio ci aveva lasciato senza, promettendoci una macchina che poi non cera, ci hanno richiamato dopo 5 minuti dicendo che avevano disponibile lauto che cercavamo e che sarebbe stata pronta in sede in 20 minuti. Prezzo subito chiaro già dalla telefonata, comprensivo di assicurazione completa e guidatore aggiuntivo, a un prezzo più basso di quello promesso dallaltro noleggiatore. Nessuna caparra richiesta, solo pagamento anticipato. Nessun problema con lauto, in buone condizioni. Seri e affidabili.

Hola!!: Alquilamos una scooter aquí por 5 días, el chico de la recepción dijo que devolviéramos la moto antes de las 6, porque cerraban a esa hora. El mismo día de la devolución, a las 14 10 min, nos estaba llamando la recepcionista pidiendo explicación de por qué no estaba la moto devuelta. Nada educada realmente. Le explico lo que nos ha dicho el chico y a la vez que estábamos a media hora de Funchal y me dice que le tengo que pagar 24 horas más porque en mi contrato figuraba a las 14 hora de devolución, la verdad es que no había leído el contrato, pero ella no nos dijo ni palabra en el momento de la contratación, y también es verdad que el chico me dijo eso, venid antes de las 6 porque cerramos a esa hora. A la vuelta ni pidieron disculpas. Devolvimos la moto a las 15 10 y nos cobraron los 30 EU del día siguiente... Nada recomendable en formas ni educación. El dueño casi le arranca el contrato de la mano a mi pareja, sin un por favor o un gracias....en fin... La scooter una low cost china (Syn????) que no pasa de los 80km/ hora y además muy por encima del precio. Al lado del hotel Savoy Palace hay una agencia que alquila Scooters Honda por 25 eu/día y son altamente simpáticos...qué pena que llegamos tarde. Cuidado con las fianzas que se la quedan por cualquier tontería. La isla es una pasada pero esta gente son bastante decepcionantes. Busca otras opciones!!

Amazing and quick service. No hustle. The folks at FX are lovely too. Would recommend moving around Madeira with a bike but be confident and strong while moving on high steeps and motorways.

Scooter neuf dommage que le patron soit antipathique. Attention, si vous rendez le scooter rien quune heure trop tard il vous déduira une journée entière du deposit, idem pour le niveau dessence quil vous fait payer le prix double. Si vous contestez il devient agressif. Je déconseille.

DON T USE THIS COMPANY. Threatening and aggressive owner!!! I ve never had such an awful customer experience as I did with this company. We were told we could extend our rental period after calling them. They confirmed it was ok but the next day I was inundated with calls saying we had to bring it back asap as they had another booking. We were already out for the day and then had to cancel our plans and drive back to the rental site. On arrival we were met by the owner and another male employee who shouted and swore in our faces in a very aggressive manner and demanded we pay for another day when we were only two hours past our original return time. They then threatened to call the police and angrily shouted in our faces. The young male employee was moved away from us as it looked like he was about to get physically violent. We were calm the whole time and said we weren t trying to mess anyone around as there had clearly been a miscommunication. They still forced us to pay and we did because we wanted to get out of the very hostile environment as quickly as we could. This clearly looks like it s happened before, this irate behaviour from the owner and male employee with long blonde hair, as the female receptionist kept her head down and kept quiet whilst it was all going on. The fiat panda is a great car though so get one with another company. Great rental company on the road by the casino and Savoy.

I have booked a scooter (25 /day) for one day in January 2023. I have also booked a car for 2 days (45 / day). Excellent relationship with the girl and very affordable pricing. 2 weeks later I got SMS message to approve online payment in Madeira (burger King madeira, Glovo, Kiko, ..). Im now afraid that this rental shop is using my visa card for fraudulent buying !! I now regret to have given them (for deposit) my Visa card number + date so that they can use it online !
