I been travelling to Madeira for many years and hiring cars . I recently, however, had my first accident .My first concern was is everybody ok . ‘Then I had to ring the company to inform them of the accident’ . No need to worry on both counts as the other person was ok and so was this company . Ricardo in the shop was excellent, firstly he was concerned of everyone’s wellbeing especially myself . Within two hours of the collision , I was driving away , with another Car . Great service from Futuro and a special thanks to Ricardo 👍
I will push this car rental to be a bit higher in the ratings. After an attempt to get a car at the airport from Europecar, with absolutely no flexibility to pay with a debit card or cash and with staggering deposit or even with no option to pay with a credit card using a phone, this car rental has offered any method of payment, no deposit, full insurance and assistance (luckily was not needed due to good condition of the car). The car had full insurance and fair price. Upon return I handed the keys and the car was not even inspected. I asked “this is it?” The staff said with a smile “ it’s like McDonlands, you can go. We’ll take care. Have a safe trip” What else do you need?:) next time will consider Car Futuro.

As a society we mostly comment what's wrong and forget to appreciate what's good. Totally trustworthy, still has just a few reviews. I was offered a really fair price after being devastated by the fact, that other car rental, despite reservation, failed to deliver a car for me. Really good communication and understanding. I left something in the car (worth mentioning: almost brand new, fresh opel corsa 20kkm, Perfect condition) after finished rental - it was found and delivered back to me. 5/5, definitely would come back again, highly recommended.

The prices are affordable. No deposits are required, which is surprisingly amazing news! 100% we will return next time! Highly recommend this rental!
We hired a car at this company through our hotel (The views Baia, Funchal). They were super kind and the price is quite low as well. At the first two days we had some trouble with our nissan micra, so they gave us a higher class car for the same price, super correct move. They helped us to have a perfect, and memorable honeymoon trip. Thank you :)
We used Rent a Car for 2 days during our holiday to Madeira. Ana was most helpful in assisting us to find a car suitable for our travels around the island. We opted for a convertible, and boy was it worth it! Being able to enjoy the scenery above as we drove around the island was phenomenal. It was quick and easy! No hidden cost, and comprehensive insurance was advised & a safe bet just in case. No deposit & the car was lovely & clean too! The car was collected directly from our hotel, so no need to return by a particular time. Made exploring that much more relaxed. Highly recommend!!

Problemlose und einfache Fahrzeugabholung am Fährhafen von Funchal. Wir hatten ein paar Tage vor der Kreuzfahrt ein smart Cabrio für die zwei Tage Landgang gebucht und waren rundum zufrieden. Die Waagen stehen in der Tiefgarage direkt am CR 7 Museum. Einzig die fehlende Höhenverstellung des Fahrersitzes und die vielen Macken in der Karosserie trüben leicht das Bild. Ansonsten alles top! Gerne wieder.

We had no problems. We booked with full insurance. We had a Mitsubishi Spacestar, the power may be a little low, but the places of interest can definitely be reached without any problems.

Ich hatte online einen VW Polo versucht zu Mieten, über die Website ging dies jedoch leider nicht. Nach einem Anruf und 1-2 E-Mails die sehr schnell und immer freundlich beantwortet wurden, bekam ich eine schriftliche Bestätigung per Email für meine Reservierung. Ein Polo wurde es nicht, dafür ein sehr neuer Renault Clio. Google Auto, Rückfahrkamera, Parksensoren vorne und hinten, Berg Anfahrt Assistent, Tempomat und Spurhalte-Assistent, alles dabei. Das Auto hatte mehr als ausreichend Leistung für alle Berge und hat uns immer sicher an unsere Ziele gebracht, egal wie steil diese waren. Der Kontakt mit der Mitarbeiterin war sehr nett und sie zeigte uns das Auto. Zudem sprach sie ein sehr gutes Englisch. Das Auto wurde uns sehr pünktlich (sie war 5-10min zu früh) an unser Hotel geliefert. Hier wurde das Auto auch wieder abgeholt. Wie haben den Schlüssel einfach an der Rezeption abgegeben. Leider ist einen Tag zuvor das Kartenlesegerät kaputt gegangen, so dass wir bar zahlen mussten. Hierfür haben wir dann die erste Tour mit dem Leihwagen gemacht und an einer Station Bar gezahlt. Ich würde hier immer wieder einen Leihwagen holen und kann Futuro Car nur empfehlen :)
Wir hatten einen Opel Adam gebucht. Bekommen haben wir mit 30min Verspätung einen Fiat Panda und mussten 30 Euro mehr zahlen. Der Tank war fast leer und so haben wir ihn auch wieder abgegeben. Die Fußmatte im Fahrerraum lag unbefestigt und zerknautscht am Boden und somit ein Risiko beim fahren. Positiv war dann die Abgabe des Autos im Hotel. 290,- für 5 Tage ist trotzdem ganz i.O.
Wypo yczyli my Mitsubishi Space w sezonie 2022 na 1 dzie (220 ), wszystko przebieg o bez problemu. Auto mia o oczywi cie swoje uszkodzenia i otarcia w momencie wypo yczenia, porobili my zdj cia przezornie, przed wyjazdem, ale przy odbiorze nikt nie sprawdza stanu. Nie by o adnego k opotu. Mo emy poleci :)

Mit Abstand den günstigsten Mietwagen hier bekommen. Die Abwicklung war unkompliziert und höflich. Der Wagen an sich war top gepflegt und neu
AVOID! TERRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Wanted a car for 2 days but didnt get it until 11:30am. Still made to pay for 2 full days hire. Complained but was told take it or leave it. Reluctantly took it as we had made plans. Forced to pay another 30 for their excess insurance (even though I already had my own cover). Would only take cash (hmm!) & very rude service. Tried to overcharge for fuel rather than returning car with same level. Wanted cash for that too! To cap it all, the car then broke down after just 2 hrs. Had to wait by side of the road for hours for someone to come and fix it by which time we didnt have time to do the things we planned. No apology. Repair man brought tools and a new battery so suspect this happens quite often. AVOID!
Très content de cette agence de location. Nous avons été accueillis par Ana qui parle très bien français et qui est d une grande gentillesse. Le choix des véhicules est assez vaste et les prix sont corrects. Nous avons choisi une Fiat Panda qui a très bien fonctionné durant notre séjour malgré de nombreuses routes difficiles. Pas de caution lorsque l on prend l assurance. Petit plus, nous avons pu déposer la voiture à laéroport lors de notre départ (contre 35e).
Ich kann euch diese Autovermietung sehr empfehlen. Schnell einfach und unkompliziert trifft es sehr gut . Neben den fairen Preisen ist auch keine Kreditkarte nötig . Man hat sogar mehrere Optionen wo man sein Auto abholen und wieder abgeben möchte . Ob am Shop oder Hotel ist einem selbst überlassen . Würde definitiv mein Auto wieder hier buchen .

Aluguer de automóveis descomplicado. Só não dou 5 estrelas por causa da pressão dos pneus que não foi controlada antes da entrega do carro e a política da entrega com o nível do depósito de gasolina deixado pelo o condutor precedente. Ficamos a perder uns 10 litros porque não fizemos consumos para atingir o mesmo valor. Em qualquer Rent a car é entregue e devolvido com o depósito cheio. Obrigado até breve.
Excelente servicio y precio justo, desde el Hotel Meliá nos consiguieron el contacto con la empresa y en menos de 1 hora ya teníamos coche en la misma puerta, el contrato fué rápido gracias a Sergio y con todo riesgo incluido sin bloquear ningún importe en la targeta de crédito , 3 días 309 un smart cabrio que nos fue increíblemente bueno para moverse por la isla 2 personas, sube las cuestas increíbles. Tuvimos un pinchazo en una rueda al salir del hotel por la mañana y en menos de 1 hora nos dieron otro coche igual y pudimos seguir nuestra ruta la misma mañana, excelente el trabajo del mecánico que nos asistió. Muy contentos con esta empresa por nuestra parte por estos días que pasamos en Madeira.
We landed in Madeira with the excitement of renting out a car and exploring the island. Our excitement quickly turned to disappointment as car rental after car rental were fully booked up for the week. As we resigned to the reality of having to walk or take public transport everywhere, we stumbled across a place called Rent a Car Futuro. They had one car left .a Fiat Panda. They saved our bacon. At first I was apprehensive as all of the reviews on Madeira advised on getting a powerful car that can handle the mountainous terrain. I should not have been apprehensive! The moment I sat into Panda I felt what I can only imagine a mother feels towards her new born child as she holds them for the first time. I instantly new that Panda was going to make this a magical journey. Panda withstood every wrong turn I took, every mountain I climbed, every hill start I made. All with a beautiful purr. At times she may not have been capable of getting past 1st gear on the hilly motorway but looking back it just meant that I got to spend even more time with Panda. She brought us from the highest peaks to the lowest of beaches, the steepest of cliffs to the furthest of villages. On our last evening with Panda, I parked her up in and headed into Machico to the food festival. Panda is so slim and dainty that she can park on a six pence. However with the excitement of getting to the food festival, I forgot to take note of where I parked Panda. It only occurred to me a few hours later that I had no idea where I left her. We searched high and low, even pressing the unlock button on the electric keys to see if we could hear her or see her lights flicker in the distance. I had resigned to the fact that I was never going to see Panda again. The sadness was not that I had no way to get back to the hotel, but more so that I never had a chance to say good bye to Panda. But alas, in the distance I saw her cute nose peeping out from the sidewalk where I abandoned her. I was like a young boy on Christmas morning. To apologise to Panda, I brought her to the nearest petrol station and dined her with the most expensive petrol on offer. She deserved it. We left panda home that night before we flew back to Ireland. The agency let us leave Panda at the hotel and they collected her the next morning. It was an emotional farewell. However I told myself, don t cry because it s over, smile because it happened. As I sit on this flight departing Madeira, I m thinking of Panda and where she might be right now. All I ask is for the next person to love and care for her as much as we did. When I return to Ireland, I am selling my own car to purchase a Panda in her honour. Farewell Panda, you will be missed x x x

Wypo yczalnia godna polecenia. Ceny bardzo konkurencyjne. Auto na 3 dni kosztowa o 200 euro, gdzie u konkurencji mo e kosztowa oko o 300 euro. Obs uga mi a. Trafi si nam peugot 208, praktycznie nówka i zadbana

Haben uns einen Wagen über das Hotel buchen lassen. Wir wurden 10 Minuten vor geplanter Abholzeit von einem Mitarbeiter eingesammelt und zum Büro gebracht. Vor Ort alle sehr freundlich. Wir haben einen sehr gepflegten neuen Renault Clio erhalten (30.000km). Der Mann welcher uns eingesammelt hat ist mit uns extra noch zu ein paar nahegelegenen Parkplätzen am Hotel gefahren und hat uns diese erklärt. Rückgabe des Autos kein Problem. Wir würden sofort wieder dort leihen.
Tudo correu bem. Possivelmente podia ter arranjado mais barato qualquer coisa, mas em especial pela proximidade ao meu hotel, foi boa escolha.
Simple and efficient
I rented a car (Smart cabrio) for a week. Everything went smoothly, the hand-over was well organised and by departure I was allowed to let the car in the hotel parking to be picked up by the car rental the next day. I can glady recommend using Futuro car rental :)

I am really happy with the rental. Me and my friend were a bit scared to challange those Madeirian hills, but André and Luisa both were very helpful and chose a car that fit our needs perfectly (super small car with automatic) the Smart Cabrio made driving here in Madeira a lot of fun and made us enjoy the nature a lot more (instead of us being all stressed out because of the streets) Also all financial stuff was made very easy. Communications always worked perfectly well. Only thing that I would prefer: to get the car a full tank and bring it back with a full tank. Thank you so much! Will definitely rent here again!

Wir hatten um 10.15 Uhr ein Auto gebucht, zuerst wurde das Auto nicht geliefert, da bekamen wir die Zusage das wir sofort ein neues bekommen um 11.15 Uhr dieses musste dann aber in die Werkstatt sodass sich unsere Zeit auf 14.30 Uhr verschob. Letztendlich bekamen wir unser Auto um 15 Uhr! Unseren Ausflug konnten wir an diesem Tag nicht mehr wahrnehmen und den Tag verbrachten wir mit warten! Keine Weiterempfehlung!
Wir hatten einen Clio für 10 Tage im November gemietet. Der Wagen hatte keine 6000km gelaufen und war tiptop sauber. Das Auto wurde bis ins Hotel in Caniço gebracht und wir brauchten den Schlüssel bei der Abgabe einfach nur an der Hotelrezeption abgeben. Das Auto wurde nicht auf Schäden untersucht, da der Mietpreis sämtliche Schäden abdecken würde. Eine Kaution wurde nicht verlangt. So entspannt habe ich noch nie einen Mietwagen abgegeben, das übliche nachschauen bei der Abgabe nach Kratzern und Beulen gab es hier also nicht. Sehr beruhigend zu wissen, dass einem hier nicht untergejubelt werden könnte. Auch das tanken war entspannt, man gibt das Auto so zurück wie man es erhalten hat. Der Mietpreis lag bei 47 je Tag komplett, das war fair und ok. Das lag auf dem Niveau anderer Anbieter, Madeira ist zur Zeit nicht gerade günstig, die Preise haben ganz schön angezogen.

Not recommendable. The car is stopped on the way. Had to pay additional service fee. We rented with an almost empty tank. Anyone who returns the car with more gas will not receive a refund. Car totally scratched.
