Nous avons loué un van pour une semaine, cétait parfait ! Jorge est venu nous chercher à laéroport et nous à amené à lagence en 20min. Le van était parfait et il y avait tout ce quil faut pour découvrir lîle sereinement. Pour la fin du séjour, Pedro nous a rejoins à laéroport pour récupérer le van pour nous faciliter le départ. Aluguei um Dacia Sandero em boas condições, apesar do desgaste dos discos do travão que chiavam ligeiramente, sem afetar a condução. Os preços foram acessíveis e o valor da caução razoável. O atendimento personalizado incluiu boas recomendações sobre a ilha. A localização para recolha e entrega do carro é um pouco afastada do centro. Recomendo pela boa relação qualidade-preço.

Staff molto disponibile e cordiale, ci hanno portato la macchina presso la struttura dove alloggiavamo, hanno creato una chat per darci informazioni e aggiornamenti, macchina stabile e sicura, Jorge, Bernando e Pedro sono stati molto gentili... Unica pecca un faro non funzionava e la spia di segnalazione e del motore segnalavano sempre la problematica.

Nous sommes arrivés le lendemain du jour prévu en raison de perturbations météorologiques et Vanscape s est organisé pour livrer le véhicule à l heure tardive de notre arrivée. Le retour s est très bien passé, remise du véhicule juste devant l aéroport. Nous avons également reçu une liste d adresses utiles. En résumé équipe très efficace et très flexible.

Bien équipée. Nous avions une Toyota Yaris (elle avait cependant un peu de mal en montée...). - Rapport qualité /prix voiture+assurance : TOP! Voor Vanscape gekozen omdat ze autos hebben voor 6 personen én omdat ze aantrekkelijk waren geprijsd. Auto werd netjes bij Arrivals gebracht en bij Departures weer opgehaald. Papierwerk was snel gedaan. Zou zeker weer voor Vanscape kiezen.

Con Vanscape ci siamo trovati benissimo, la macchina era sicura e pulita, i ragazzi sono gentili e disponibili: il nostro volo ha ritardato diverse ore ma nonostante questo ci sono venuti a prendere a tarda notte in aeroporto. Inoltre, ci hanno fornito anche alcune indicazioni e suggerimenti su cosa visitare a Madeira, dove mangiare ecc. il prezzo è più che onesto e facendo la casco completa non abbiamo avuto nessun tipo di problema! Consigliatissimo :)

Great experience! I was added in a whatsapp chat with several young guys so that I would never be left without an answer - 24/7 you can write, ask for help, they also send recommendations on what to see, where to eat, what to eat/drink. Guys were responsive, friendly - shows everything about thw car, explains, etc. We paid an extra 10 euros and on the first day they brought it to the house where we lived. The car is in good condition, relatively new, clean. He also took into account the already existing scratches and bruises, filmed everything and put it in the chat. Everything was also ok at the last day when giving back the car - no problems at all. Unlocked the amount of the deposit (400eur, it is without insurance, which would be bought from them - because we had already bought it in booking.com) - it is also cool that the amount can be frozen on a debit card, it is not necessary to have a credit card.

A fair, honest, and friendly car rental. The Toyota Yaris Hybrid that I picked up was in great shape and showed no technical issues over the week that I drove it. The car had all dings and scratches marked in the rental contract, and luckily, I did not add any more to the list. Upon drop-off, the deposit was fairly returned. I ll add that the car was excellent for the challenging Madeira terrain and the tight parking spots. The electric motor really helped when I had to start on steep slopes or accelerate quickly. Props to Pedro for managing the pick-up and drop-off so smoothly. It was a pleasure doing business here. I can easily recommend this establishment.

Abbiamo noleggiato la macchina la mattina stessa a causa di un volo cancellato e in 1h30 eravamo già alla guida di una Dacia Sandero bianca nuova (18000km circa) con possibilità di CarPlay/android auto. Ritiro e consegna diretta rapidissima in aeroporto al costo di 20 /consegna. Ci hanno anche inviato tramite whatsapp un elenco con consigli su posti da vedere, ristoranti, bar e prodotti da vedere. We rented a car for 8 days and the experience is great. The staff is friendly and speak English well. Check in/out was easy, although they dont have the office in the airport we got and left our car there. We got Toyota Yaris automatic hybrid, the car was not new but technically perfect. When I am back to Madeira I rent a car here again

The day before the rental was due to start Jorge @ vanscape contacted me via WhatsApp to confirm details of the rental and stayed in contact at all relevant times - a simple but great idea. They offered to deliver and pickup the car from my hotel for 10 each time, which was very convenient. Both Jorge and Bernardo were lovely people and Jorge offered advice on places to eat and visit during my stay. The car was new and the whole process from start to finish was flawless. They seem different - more personal - to other rental companies and I can t recommend them more. Excellent service!

Probably the best rental car experience Ive ever had. Their site was super easy to book through, the communication with them over email and whatsapp was super simple and their English was perfect. They dropped the car to us at the hotel on time, they picked it up from us at the airport on time saving us a ton of time needing to go to/from a rental car office. The car itself was a really great car - used it everyday for 5 days, drove around the whole island and only needed to fill up half a tank of gas to fill it back up before returning. On top of all this, they sent us a list of recommendations for what to do and where to go on the island. Highly recommend!

Recently rented a car for four days from here. Staff were super friendly, very helpful and efficient. Originally booked through booking.com. Two days before picking up the car Vanscape created a Whatsapp group with myself and their staff. Confirmed pickup times and offered a few options on how to receive the car, I opted to have it dropped off and picked up from my hotel for an extra 10 euros each way. Pedro dropped the car off for me, very upfront in pointing out and making note of where previous customers had caused damage to the car and encouraged me to make a video. Showed me around the car, gave me a few tips and also provided a list of areas he recommends visiting. (All the recommendations we did check out were brilliant). Other than a few scrapes the car was in good condition, clean and an up to date model. The roads are quiet hilly in Madeira so having hill assist was a big help. I took the extra 12.5 euros a day insurance which waived the need to put a deposit down and reduced the excess significantly. Pickup was a similar story by Bruno, arrived exactly when he said he would and contacted me by phone before hand. Checked the car over and took it away. If I ever come back to Madeira I would hire a car from these guys again and Id have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who is thinking of going.

Bringing the car to the hotel in Funchal for 10 seems fine to me. Another service in the form of proposing an additional insurance for 50 (premium), when you do not have to pay a deposit for the car is great. As I already wrote, I simply and only recommend it.. Its not a hidden advertisement so that someone doesnt think, just nice guys (Bruno, Jorge, Pedro)

I had a great time in Madeira. The vanscape headquarters was a bit cumbersome and complicated to find, so I would recommend getting the rental car at the airport. I had a super nice contact with Pedro. You could ask questions non-stop in your own Whatsapp group and also quickly got an answer. All in all, highly recommended.

The most important part: communication was easy, the car was squeaky clean and practically new, the paperwork was hassle free, and the staff were friendly. I would recommend them. However, on arrival it turned out that they cant take a credit card for the deposit, or even pay for the rental via card, as the card readers battery was dead. To be fair, they offered to drive us to the city to visit their office and do paperwork there, but we wanted to be on our way (thats why we already paid extra for the airport pickup) so we bit the bullet and bought the extra insurance to be able to pay the lower deposit with cash. They also didnt have change, so they said they will give the 3 Euros change back once we meet at the airport again at the end of the holiday. They never gave the money back, probably because they were half an hour late from the agreed dropoff time (apparently there was a lot of traffic) so we were in quite a rush not to miss our flight. Again, despite these hiccups, I would still recommend them

I recently had the opportunity to hire a car from Vanscape during my trip, and I must say, the experience was quite pleasant. From the moment they picked me up from the airport in the very vehicle I was going to use, to the seamless transfer when it was time to return the car, Vanscape made sure my journey was smooth and hassle-free. Although there was a slight wait due to scheduling conflicts, the overall experience with the company was more than satisfactory. Jorge, who took care of all correspondence prior to my arrival, was professional and efficient, ensuring that everything was in order for my trip. Upon my arrival, a representative from Vanscape went over the vehicle with me, explaining how it works and ensuring that I was comfortable with its features. Their effort to provide a pleasant experience was evident and much appreciated. The convenience didn t stop there. When it was time to return the car, they met me at the airport for a seamless transfer. There was no hassle, making it a convenient end to my journey. The car they provided was more than adequate for my needs. It was comfortable and reliable, making it easy to drive around the island. The attention to detail, the seamless process, and the overall convenience made it a service I would highly recommend to anyone in need of a car hire service.

Mon expérience avec cette agence de location de voitures à Madère a été exceptionnelle. Dès le début, on se sent très bien accueillis, avec une équipe toujours disponible pour discuter et fournir des informations ((même avant la location, par whatsapp)). Jai le permis depuis seulement 6 mois mais louer une voiture na posé aucun problème. Lassurance tout risques est rassurante car on ne paye seulement 100 en cas de dommage. Nous avons optées pour la Toyota Yaris, la plus petite et moins chère, mais elle nous a permis de gravir sans difficulté les pentes à 30% de lîle. Les démarrages au frein à main sont à prévoir, mais cela ajoute une touche daventure haha La possibilité de recevoir et déposer la voiture à ladresse de notre hôtel a grandement facilité notre séjour, je recommande !! Cest globalement les tarifs les plus attractifs de lîle et les gens les plus sympas. Un grand merci à Pedro :)

I only needed a car in Madeira for a day as I was arriving on a cruise. I wanted a smooth, hassle free experience. Vanscape have transparent pricing, great communication, friendly staff, no spurious up-sell attempts, quality cars. I know what you re thinking: Is this a Madeira car rental company? Vanscape were perfect: I whatsapp d them to see how much a taxi was from the cruise terminal to their office but they said to book it as a hotel pickup & drop off and they would deliver the car directly to the cruise terminal. I booked on their own website which has an English option. They delivered and picked up the car to and from the cruise terminal exactly as promised. The staff took the time to both explain the car and local driving customs (like colour meaning in parking bays). They even IM d a local guide that detailed good places to go, restaurants, bars, beaches. All the Vanscape team were genuinely friendly, enthused about the company and really wanted to promote their island. The car was a fairly new Toyota Yaris with only 21K KMs on it. It was clean, safe, everything worked and completely full of petrol. It had a USB charging connector and had Android Auto (means google maps can be displayed on the car s screen) If you are on a cruise and are thinking of renting a car at Funchal, Vanscape is perfect. Highly recommend.

We rented a car with vanscape for about a week, the price was very reasonable and cheaper than the big rental companies with much better service! Car in great condition and Pedro was friendly, punctual and gave us some good recommendations for our time in Madeira, he was also very helpful in dropping off and collecting the car at our hotel (extra 10 fee). Id recommend getting the insurance as many of the roads are rough, steep and parking can be tricky, especially in the tourist spots where your car could easily get scratched.

We came to Funchal and didn t reserve a car. We decided to hire a car on our way to the hotel, immediately got connected with Pedro which was really helpful, friendly and gave us the best experience with this car hire. He gave us recommendations and was really flexible with the check in. The communication with him was just amazing. The check out was with Jorge which also was great and friendly! The company is honest, trustworthy and I definitely recommend it.

At Funchal a lot of car rental places dont rent a car for a one day, if they do, then they do it for 2 days price. But Vanscape did and it was great. The online booking system is easy to use, even a day before you can rent a car. A new and in good condition car was delivered to our hotel, got some instructions and an overview of the car and off you go. The staff was great and very helpful.

Overall good experience with this company. We got a quite new car, the communication was easy and quick, the team is flexible. We rented a Fiat Panda by which we were able to get everywhere we wanted, but the steep roads were challenging sometimes, so for the better experience its worth considering upgrading to a higher category car.

Very good communication and very nice and polite staff. Before arrival, a WhatsApp group chat was made to inform about the delivery of the rental car. At that moment we were staying in Porto da Cruz and it wasnt a problem for the staff to drop the car there, since there are very limited options in terms of transport from that town and it was highly appreciated. From there recommendations in the chat were shared concerning proposals on cities and restaurants by the locals. The delivery of the car went very smooth and the staff was very friendly. The car itself (Fiat Panda hybrid) was delivered in good state, with very little amount of kilometres on the screen. We rented the car for 1,5 week and everything worked properly. The only downside is that there was no air conditioning (only blowing of air) and that the car itself had sometimes a hard time driving up the mountain when the battery of the hybrid was empty (so only on the fuel engine). Nevertheless, the car managed to get everywhere we wanted, which was most of the island and mountain tops. Also the returning of the car went smooth and the staff member even dropped us in the city centre of Funchal, so we didnt need to order a taxi. Overall, I would very much recommend VANSCAPE, it is well organised, has a very friendly and helpful staff and it has a lower price than most other car rental companies on Madeira.

We hired a seven seat car for part of our holiday in July. The service was really excellent. The communication and responsiveness was first class. The car was exactly as described and it was almost new and very clean. They arranged to drop off and collect the car from the hotel so everything was easy. The only issue we had was that my deposit was not refunded but they sorted it out and I got it back within a few days. Would definitely recommend

Car in perfect condition and great service ( they can bring the car at the airport and pick it up there with a small charge). The communication is easy and they always replay very quickly, they give you many suggestions to what to visit and where to eat while you are there. They were super kind and supportive with us when we had a problem the last day in Madeira.

The guys at Vanscape were great - a FAR better customer experience than the big hire car companies and cheaper too. I lost count of the small ways they made a difference but a few: offering to drop off/pick up the car at any address for a minimal charge (10 Euros), starting up a Whatsapp conversation at the beginning of the hire period for constant contact, being on hand to help when I couldnt work out how to release the fuel cap, sending through a list of restaurant recommendations. And more. Just a really great experience!

Car was clean and pretty new (30K km). However, the low pressure tire went on the moment we started it. We stopped at a gas station to notice that the wheels were not equipped with TPMS!! No wonder why the damned light was on!! Then the danger light started to go on and off randomly on the first day, not a clue why. Really unnecessary stress!! The two next day went fine but the small engine really made it difficult going up some really steep roads. Otherwise, the car was delivered on time, and Bernardo was really a nice guy.

Al momento della prenotazione, online, ottima comunicazione e cortesia da parte del personale. Prima del ritiro inviati tutti i documenti e patenti di guida tramite whatsapp, per velocizzare le pratiche di noleggio. Abbiamo concordato consegna al ns domicilio, con un piccolo sovraprezzo. Servizio effettuato come da accordi, MA: il responsabile aveva il POS scarico. Chiesto contanti (nel 2023 non si usano più) pagato poi tramite paypal Consegnateci la chiave andiamo a casa e sentiamo uno strano rumore. Il giorno dopo ci rendiamo conto che un freno anteriore non funziona, la luce retromarcia non funziona, uno pneumatico consumato fino alla tela!!!. Comunicato tutto ciò il GIOVEDI. La macchina viene riparata il LUNEDI successivo (4 giorni di ansia da sicurezza stradale). Peccato questa mancanza di comunicazione interna (3 persone diverse) perché il problema si sarebbe potuto risolvere più velocemente. Riconsegna in aeroporto senza problemi Costo noleggio competitivo Per chi deve noleggiare è bene sapere che La Panda Hybrid 70cv (categoria Budget) non è adeguata alle strade montane di Madeira. Ovviamente non è responsabilità di Vanscape. La macchina era relativamente nuova, una svista può capitare a tutti, nonostante la gentilezza e la cortesia del personale obiettivamente non possiamo dare più della sufficienza (3 stelle)

Era mi primera vez alquilando un coche y no podría estar más contenta. Reservé directamente desde la web (con seguro a todo riesgo) y, el día antes del check-in, hicieron un grupo de Whatsapp para confirmar todos los detalles. También nos ofrecieron el servicio de traer el coche directamente a nuestro apartamento por un pequeño sumplemento. Los chicos que nos atendieron fueron super amables, atentos, sonrientes y nos resolvieron todas las dudas. El check-in y el check-out fueron sencillos y rápidos. Wir hatten einen Toyota Yaris Hybrid für 2 Tage bereits vor Antritt unserer Reise gebucht (mit Vollkasko). Das Auto war in einem sehr guten Zustand und perfekt für Madeira. Der Check-In verlief schnell und ohne weitere Umstände, sowie der Check-Out. Wegen der ganzen, teils sehr steilen Straßen, empfehlen wir ein Auto mit Automatik Getriebe zu buchen. Jetzt noch ein paar Worte zu einem der Mitarbeiter von Vanscape. Uns betreute Bernando, er war sehr nett und hat uns auch über e-mail zusätzlich weitere Reiseziele und Infos geschickt. Zudem antwortete er recht schnell und war sehr hilfsbereit. Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir sehr zufrieden mit Vanscape, wir können jedem nur empfehlen dort zu buchen!

We borrowed the camper for a week and were very positively surprised. Pedro picked us up from the airport and then explained to us with Jorge how everything works. Both were very likeable. He also gave us a list of recommendations from the island, all of which were very good. It was a good decision to rent such a small car because we got around very well in the narrow and steep streets and were able to stay overnight anywhere. The faucet and shower in particular were very practical. All in all, we had a very nice time and felt very comfortable with the Vanscape team as we were in contact throughout the week. Definitely recommended.

The car we received was even better than originally booked. Rode well up the Madeiran hills. It was a great choice to choose Vanscape Madeira in Funchal. From start to finish, everything went smoothly and was customer friendly. The process through booking.com was seamless. Pedro was very welcoming and you can even arrange to bring your car to the hotel which is really helpful. He speaks well, so communication is easy and pleasant, including communication via whatsapp. The car itself, a Toyota Yaris hybrid, was in good condition and maintained. I appreciated the smooth process of returning the car, no hassles, even though we had a small scratch on the car, so we paid a deposit of 100, which Vanscape will refund the difference to the repair of this scratch. I will definitely use their services again and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone planning to visit Madeira Island.

Flawless service, perfect car to go around Madeiras steep hills, Funchals narrow streets and underground parking places. (Toyota Yaris). Pedro gave me all the necessary hints for activities and places to eat on the island. He also provided a quick reception for the car so well have a stress free holiday. Booked online, went at their office and picked it straight away. You also have the option for them to deliver it to your hotel or at the airport. I recommend to anyone to go with them instead of an international competitor that you usually find at the airport. Big plus that you dont have the limited mileage policy and fair price per day. Very happy with the rental. Rented a Fiat Panda for a week for two adults which was excellent for around the island, plenty spacious, economical, and easy to park. The car was clean and without issue. Communication with Vanscape was easy and straightforward, employees were friendly and helpful. They also offered vehicle collection and drop-off for a very competitive price which was super useful after a late night ferry trip.

We hired a car for seven days in Madeira. The car was almost new so in excellent condition. More importantly the service from Jorge and Pedro was outstanding and I can t recommend this company enough. Price was good. You can arrange to have your car delivered/collected from your airbnb which was extremely useful to us. I would 100% use this company again.

Very happy with Vanscape - No issue with the process, very quick and smooth. There s even an option not to leave a deposit when you pay the highest insurance (which was still affordable) which we actually selected. Nice people, they even sent us tons of recommendations of places to visit. Don t hesitate to trust them. The only advise from our side is not to choose the cheapest cars but go for more capable one due to Madeira steep mountain roads.

Great experience with Vanscape. As a rule, I try to avoid non-chain rental companies because I have had unpleasant surprises with them, especially when returning the car. I can definitely recommend this place. The cars are clean, almost new and well maintained. Communicative service and quick response to customer needs. The entire rental procedure went smoothly, both at the beginning and at the end. Everything was handled electronically, without unnecessary paperwork. I definitely recommend considering taking a car with an automatic transmission because driving in the mountains and parking on severely sloping streets may pose problems even for an experienced driver.

Sehr gute Autovermietung. Für einen 7-Sitzer bekam ich hier trotz Alterszuschlag den günstigsten Preis. Ich war zunächst skeptisch. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Fahrzeug war neuwertig (30.000 km). Die Rückgabe war auch unproblematisch. Bei Anmietung mußte ich eine Kaution hinterlegen (Kreditkarte). Alternativ hätte ich eine Versicherung für 15 /Tag abschließen können. Die Kaution bekam ich einen Tag nach Rückgabe zurück. Ich kann die Firma uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

I have rented the car for 5 days, FULLY INSURED. On the third day, someone scratched the car while It was parked in a parking spot in Funchal. I straight away informed the team and sent photos, the only answer I got was send Better photos tomorrow with more light. Next day I sent Better photo and parking location suggesting that there might be cameras. No answer. Upon returning the car, It was asked of me to pay the full franchise of 100 and I was told that whatever difference from the mechanic price I would get back. I asked when and I was told that probably they Will tell me next month because now its too busy to take the car to the mechanic. I asked to talk to the manager and he told me that scratches like this usually cost more than 100 which seems ridiculous, but I am not and Expert. I would have appreciated Better customer service when I sent the pictures of the scratch, as I was still in the parking lot, for example telling me to call the Police or search for security cameras to have proof that I didnt do the damage, as in that case I wouldnt have to pay the franchise. I was also very Surprised that the scratch was marked as grave which translates to severe in the return form, I wonder what would cost less than 100 and be marked as light then, see for yourself the pictures of the scratch that costed me that much. Its a shame because the guys were nice and the price competitive, but basically whatever happens to your car you Will pay 100 extra even if you buy insurance and even if you are not responsible, unless you want to spend a day of your holiday calling the Police, looking for cameras and trying to prove It, which most likely would have been a waste of time.

One of the best car rental experiences that Ive had. Communication was excellent (WhatsApp was a nice modern approach), the rental terms were transparent, the car was new and clean, and the customer service couldnt have been better (Pedro). Overall a completely refreshing and stress free experience compared to other brands in Madeira - especially Avis et al at the airport. I will absolutely be using Vanscape again when I return to Madeira in a few months.
