No problem when taking over the cars (we had a total of three cars rented). They offered us a Tesla instead of the type of car we ordered. Also no problem when returning, checking the condition of the vehicle, checking the fuel level. Everything subsequently came to the email, incl. final billing. With full insurance, the deposit is only 100 euro/car.

Excelente atendimento por parte do Sr. David Cabral, ao tornar o processo simples e prestando toda a assistência necessária. Carro em excelentes condições. Devolução também bastante simplificada. Tudo perfeito!

Alugamos um carro do dia 21 ao 16 de dezembro, no primeiro dia (21) o carro simplesmente parou de funcionar (sem embreagem) no meio da serra da estrela em uma curva. Acionamos a empresa que demora muito a atender no telefone de emergência mas ok, conseguimos apoio de pessoas que estavam passando de carro para empurra-lo para um local mais seguro e aguardamos o reboque e taxi do seguro integral. Acontece que se o carro quebrar em um final de semana a única opção é pegar outro nas europcar de Lisboa aeroporto ou Porto aeroporto , de forma que levaríamos mais pelo menos 6 horas até conseguir pegar outro carro (inviável numa noite gelada e por estarmos cansados depois de tamanho transtorno). os serviços de reposição não são integrados e tivemos que na segunda-feira de manhã retornar a ligar para que o atendente localiza-se a loja mais próxima com carro disponível (a mais próxima não tinha nenhum carro para nós e viajamos 1h30 para pegar um novo carro ) . Ao retornar para Lisboa entregamos o novo carro abastecido e o atendente nos informou para entrar em contato com o serviço de atendimento ao cliente que nos respondeu de forma automática. Ao ver que não estornaram nenhum valor fui ontem à loja onde uma atendente má humorada me disse que o primeiro carro que quebrou foi devolvido com meio tanque e que cobraram essa taxa. Pois bem, das diárias pagas eu Não pude usufruir de 1 dia inteiro e dois pela metade , o que já configura quebra do contrato por parte da loja. No contrato eu como cliente poderia cumprir a minha parte de reabastecer o veículo se a empresa tivesse me fornecido um carro em condições de andar por um dia inteiro , o carro apresentou perda total de embreagem no dia de sua locação, eu não pude reabastecer pois minha família foi colocada em situação de perigo pela empresa e visto me foi tirada a opção de reabastecer pois tive que ficar no meio da estrada por horas aguardando o reboque essa cobrança se mostra abusiva. Além disso me foi informado que teria que novamente entrar em contato sozinha com o atendimento ao cliente pois a empresa que presta serviço com loja física aparentemente não atende ao cliente e é apenas venda de serviço ruim. Essa é a história de como a EUROPCAR prejudicou um família no feriado de Natal.

Unsere Anmietung eines Mietwagens in Lissabon war sehr unkompliziert. Ich hatte zuvor über Check24 für zwei Tage gebucht, wir sollten dann aber lieber nur einen Tag das Auto. Ich konnte das nicht ändern, sondern musste leider komplett stornieren. Europcar hat dafür knapp 50 Euro einbehalten. Wir sind dann direkt zum Verleiher in der Av. António Augusto de Aguiar 24 C D und haben für einen Tag geliehen. Da hat man dann zwar nicht die günstigsten Konditionen wie online, aber man hätte sicher einfach umbuchen können.

Sehr freundlich, super einfach, sehr gutes Englisch

One month after my complaint emails, I am still waiting for the compensation suggestion i was told 3 times i was entitled to due to the horrible experience we had . Such ridiculous behavior from such ... They keep saying to get in touch with their customer service but then never get back to me when i do and just ignore my emails .

This company is a real scam, They change Navigation for three days, The rental car doesnt even equip with Navigation, we were using our phone for Navigation for the whole three days, and they change for additional driver for three days, there was only one National register at the car rental counter and only one of have National driver license, Have email the office, no reply. 2 and 1/2 they sent me another invoice for toll pass of $78 Canadian, When we pick up the rental the guy told us pay toll are all included. Skupa sa prijateljima smo boravili u Portugalu. Prijatelj je rental auto kod Sixt_a a ja sam se na alost odlu io da rentam kod Europacar. Na alost ka em iz razloga to sam preko spleta rezervirao auto ni ega razreda Fiat 500X sa svim bitnim osiguranjem ali naravno da su oni dodatno gurnuli nekakvo svoje osiguranje za dodatni 20eur i umjesto FiataX sam dobio nekakav Opel Crossland u kojem je sve ne to kripalo. Za auto sam dao oko cca 175eur, skupa sa putarinama 216,92eur...toliko su mi uzeli sa ra una, jer ja od njih nisam nikakav ra un na mail dobio. Prijatelj koji je rezervirao auto vi ega razreda za 194eur je na kraju od Sixt_a dobio na mail ra un skupa sa putarinom 228eur. Mene sad zanima kako da sam ja platio vi e putarine a prijatelj manje a skupa jedan za drugim smo vozili po istim autocestama. GDJE JE RA UN?? (U auto se nalazi nekakav aparat za putarinu koji vam omogu ava vo nju po autocestama brez zaustavljanja nakon ega vam renta car naknadno obra una putarinu)

scammers, renting a car for one day was supposed to cost me 75 euros plus 100 deposit, a few hours after returning the car I received an invoice that they charged 130 euros for the rental.

This is probably the best Europcar counter in Portugal and they will receive you well. However, I believe Europcar as a company should be avoided. Not only do they charge enormous amounts of money for any small scratch (ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO GET THE PREMIUM INSURANCE!), but also, if you pre-pay for a rental car and end up using fewer days, they wont refund the money. Ive met scumbags more fair than Europcar. Never again.

Absolute shambles. Waited an hour in the queue with only two people ahead of us, paperwork competed by hand, sour staff and still another hour later we are waiting for our car! Total chaos getting cars in and out, no order, no communication and they spent more time arguing with traffic control then sorting customers car. Shit quality cars too. Never again. Bring back Budget!

Excellent company, reliable car. But the return to Lisbon airport was a disaster, because there is not enough signage at the airport and it takes a long, long time to find the drop-off point. The lack of friendliness of the guidance causes a decrease in the score, because the company itself (Europacar) is not available in these moments of stress.

We experienced such poor customer service at this company. My prepaid booking was made through Booking.com 2 weeks earlier. I had called Europcar Reservations a day earlier to inform them of a later pick-up time. After confirming my reservation, I was assured that there would not be any problem at all. However, the next day at the pick-up counter, we were told that our reservation was cancelled. Apparently, central Europcar reservations center had failed to inform the office of my earlier request for a later pick-up time. The Rep at the Counter said that I should have called that particular office location instead of the Europcar Reservations number. Instead of acknowledging the miscommunication in their own internal systems, he basically accused me of lying about making that earlier phone call. I would have walked out then, except for the fact that I had already paid for the booking. He then offered a larger vehicle (trying to upsell) which we declined. Then, he offered a downgrade from a Medium Car to a Small Car. We accepted the vehicle without any complaints. We were so shocked at the attitude of this Service Representative working on Friday Oct 19th. Europcar has lost a customer for good.

Picked up the car on Saturday around noon and it was very fast, the employees were very fast. A bit too pushy with the extras and the insurance.

Really bad car rental company, they rip you off with unwanted double insurance, which is twice as expensive as the rental price already booked through a third party provider. Addendum to Europcars response below: The promised support at [email protected] was also completely useless and did nothing to counteract the forced contract, which I revoked directly after the car-pickup. The invoiced amount was simply debited from the account without any goodwill and days later another fee was simply charged without any invoice or information.

Lisbon pick up was a bit stressful with the car that they tried to send me off with, the staff was great and stepped up and delivered a better vehicle. Porto drop off was the best experience ever.

Expérience mitigée avec Europcar, nous avions réservé une voiture pour une semaine à 10h. Nous avons attendu 50min pour être pris en charge et que la personne nous dise quil ny a pas de voiture disponible et que nous devons attendre une heure de plus le temps quune voiture se libère, ce qui a changé tous les plans de notre journée... Le retour était facile et rapide. Jimagine que nous sommes tombés sur le mauvais jour... La voiture quand a elle était parfaite. Attention au moment du départ à bien vérifier toutes les égratignures sur la voiture, certaines étaient mal renseignées par lagent, ce qui nous value un stress inutile au moment du retour.

We picked up our car in Lisbon and the process was very easy. I had pre booked weeks before. The agent was very helpful and answered all questions. The car was clean and just the size we needed. Return of the car at Faro airport was so fast and easy. The attendant was very friendly. I would use Europcar again without hesitation

Schnelle Abwicklung, aufmerksame Mitarbeiter die schon bei der Anmietung mehr Kratzer sehen als ich. Das hatte ich bei anderen Autovermietungen schon anders erlebt. Schnelle Übergabe, sehr sauberes Auto mit wenig Kilometer und sehr guten Zustand. Die Lage ist natürlich auch sehr gut, man muss nicht bis zum Flughafen rausfahren. Gerne wieder.

Para olvidar, alquilo un cotxe para 2 dias a las 11h, y a las 20h el coche ya está averiado, despues de mas de 10 llamadas la grua se lleva el coche a la 1 de la madrugada, sin coche me queda más remedio que buscar hotel en Coimbra, cuando mi destino era Oporto. Aun estoy esperando que me reintegren algo. Menudos estafadores.

Jai récupéré à Lisbonne une voiture et lai rendu en algarve à albufeira. Seulement faite très attention à Lisbonne le jeune qui check les voitures avant le départ ne note pas tout sur la fiche. Insistez bien car quand vous rendez la voiture vous risquer de payer des petites rayures ou autres alors que ce nest pas vous le responsable. Sinon les agent a Lisbonne sont très sympa.

Fiz uma locação no dia 23/06/24, o que foi debitado no meu Cartão de Crédito no dia 10/07/24. E agora para minha surpresa o débito foi lançado novamente na minha fatura do dia 10/08/24. Não consigo contato por telefone, pois só dá sinal de ocupado. Já encaminhei e-mail para o SAC, mas também sem retorno. Estou no Brasil e não sei mais o que fazer..... ..... Me responderam (msg automática) que sentem muito .....isso é uma total falta de respeito com o cliente.

Had a good experience at pick up and drop off. Parking at drop off can be a bit tricky as its on a busy street with many other cars parked around. We had an suv Mazda for 10 days and it was fine for us.

horrendous experience with Europcar. As a regular customer, I arrived to pick up my rental only to be wrongly denied the car due to an alleged issue with my license from a previous rental. This forced my friend to rent a car at a significantly higher price. On the last day of our rental, Europcar admitted they made a mistake there was no issue with my license, and I should have been able to rent the car without any problem. I requested a refund for the price difference, which is more than fair given their error. Instead, I ve wasted countless hours dealing with their incompetent customer service. Rent with another company. They could have easily rectified this but chose not to do so.

Gostei bastante da simpatia dos colaboradores e a rapidez

Incompetência, falta de profissionalismo e não cumprimento do contrato previamente reservado com um mês de antecedência. Após varias experiências positivas ao longo dos últimos anos tendo inclusive adquirido o estatuto de cliente previlege, não souberam assumir e muito menos lidar com a falta de viaturas propondo um upgrade completamente inoportuno com custos elevadíssimos. Não recomendo.

TRUFFA COLLAUDATA: abbiamo ritirato il veicolo a Lisbona il 24/06 e il serbatoio non era pieno come invece previsto dal contratto. Sul verbale viene indicato che era solo 2/8 e ci viene detto che non saremo tenuti a provvedere al pieno alla restituzione. Rendiamo il mezzo il giorno 30/06 a Porto con 4/8 di serbatoio e loperatore ci dice che è tutto ok, strappandoci via dal contratto il foglio che conteneva il verbale di consegna. Il giorno successivo ricevo fattura con addebito di 30 euro di penale e 52 euro di carburante mancante. Faccio segnalazione e inoltro anche le prove del rifornimento fatto il 24/06 poco fuori Lisbona, ma ad ora mi sono stati confermati gli addebiti e detratti i soldi dalla carta di credito. Questo è un vero e proprio furto!

Pre-booked the car via an agency. Upon receiving the car, the responsible person did not want to walk around with us to check for damages (wich should be common practice), and only reluctantly agreed to note everything down once we took pictures and videos of the many damages of the car. The car was run down with 90k kilometres and the tires had to be pumped up every other day (they even lacked the hubcaps on all four tires). It was suggested to us to use the automated toll system wich is already built into the car but it wasn t explained to us that this comes at an extra cost of over 10 euros per day. The real fun started after returning the car though, when we already left the country. Credit card was charged additional times for items that weren t clear or explained to us onsite. They rush you through everything and make you sign documents in Portuguese language with additional costs involved that you aren t aware of. I will not book at Europcar again.

just be aware you might not get the car earlier than reservation time. I arrived 100 minutes prior to reservation time and was told my car was not ready and was offered to pay extra for a bigger car (~30euro per day). We went for lunch instead and got the bigger car at the reservation time. For us that was ok.

I totally recommend the service from Europcar Lisboa at Av. Antonio Augusto de Aguiar 20. Its not the cheapest rental company in Portugal - but its neither the most expensive, by far. Service was fast and very professional. I was assisted when picking up the car and when delivering it, 10 days later, by the same person: Paulo Jr. Flawless! Paulo is friendly, clear in his explanations, his suggestions are useful, upon receiving the car he recognized me immediately and asked me how my trip went. Thats how we all expect to be treated, thats how I was treated. Kudos.

First, they convinced me that I needed more space for my luggage because it would be a small car, and then they gave me a 4-seater, and through booking I ordered and PAID for a 5-seater. When I pointed it out to them, they were very surprised. They didnt even apologize... have they always done this? Maybe the customer wont notice...

The employee completed all the documents very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised when they provided me with a car of a higher class, so I purchased full insurance to have peace of mind.

Kind and friendly staff, a large and comfortable car, we received a car in the same category we ordered, the waiting time to receive the car was not long, there was a phone number available for questions. We bought maximum insurance at the counter, with cancellation of deductible (zero excess). Returning the vehicle was quick and smooth. We were satisfied with the vehicle, the team and the process.

I had initially booked a small car for a week for around 20 Euros per day. When I got to the location, they told me they had a small SUV for 50 Euros per day which had navigation. I agreed, and when I returned the car they had charged me an EXTRA 50 euros per day in addition to what the initial cost was. I booked a VW ID 3 VW PRO CONFORT 58KW 204CV (CDAE) or similar car, with a range of 450 km, two weeks before the rental and paid immediately, upon arrival at the office at the appointed time, the manager said that the car was not in stock and could offer a Citroen C3 with a power reserve of 150 km, which I consider not an equivalent exchange, which I informed the manager about. The sale immediately began that there is an excellent new VW ID5 car of a higher class with the same power reserve, but you need to pay extra for each day +40 euros. When I asked why there was no car for exchange with similar characteristics, I was told that there are only such options. Usually, such companies, if there is no equivalent exchange, provide a higher class car, without additional payments. Which I also reported) Lets continue, My vacation was in jeopardy, I needed to meet people with a car, after talking about nothing and bargaining, I agreed to pay extra and take a car with the power reserve that I needed initially, which I consider an unpleasant bonus at the beginning of the vacation. I understood that I had fallen into a scam, but the vacation was more important.. At the end of the rental, the receiving manager asked if everything was OK? After listening to my negative experience about additional sales in the office when taking the car, he asked me to wait and called a manager of higher rank, who also kindly listened, saying that this is unacceptable and I should have been given a car in the same class and with a similar range, that he will sort everything out and call me back, 2 weeks have passed, no calls or emails, probably still sorting out! Perfetta Helena al ritiro del veicolo nellufficio di Lisbona centro. Meno attenti i colleghi del parcheggio che ci consegnano lauto dopo quasi mezzora dalla firma del contratto, lavata ma non ben pulita, in 7/8 pur indicando il pieno. La situazione peggiora al rientro. Contatto lufficio di Lisbona per richiedere informazioni su uneventuale consegna anticipata, so di avere una prenotazione prepagata con terzi, ma ho acquistato la copertura con loro. Loperatore mi informa che gli extra acquistati a banco saranno quantificati in base al reale utilizzo, previa chiamata al loro call center subito dopo il check in. Gli operatori di Porto, per nulla cordiali come i colleghi di Lisbona, smentiscono categoricamente ed anche gli operatori del call center. Difficile stabilire chi dica la verità, per questo riprendiamo lauto e la teniamo ferma per un giorno piuttosto che consegnarla.

A éviter si vous pouvez 95 prélevés sans justification 1 semaine après (assurance premium, plein effectué et voiture rendue nickel) on vous raconte que tout est ok et signé la !

Wir waren zu 2 von Lissabon bis nach Porto unterwegs. Wir hatten ein extrem cooles Auto! Alles hat super reibungslos funktioniert.

Nunca aluguem carros na Europcar. Eu fiz uma reserva de um carro, compareci ao local e eles não deixaram alugar porque o cartão era virtual e precisavam do físico. resultado: não deixaram eu alugar, estão cobrando o valor do aluguel e uma taxa de no show. Sendo que eu estava no local e não quiseram cancelar. Violação ao código do consumidor

Europcar nous propose une voiture pour 3 jours à 173 alors que en allant chez la concurrence nous avons obtnue le même standing pour 47 ! Je pense que cétait une tentative descroquerie. Je ne porte pas plainte mais je laisse un avis...

We rented two cars in advance and prepaid. We were not offered any upgrade, nor did we want one. After returning the cars, Europcar charged us $450 for an upgrade we never requested. This feels like a scam, and we have initiated a claim. So far, no one from Europcar has responded to our inquiries.

Make sure you take videos and pictures of the car even the gas of the car you are renting. If you dont buy added insurance on the vehicle you rent. They will tell you you damage the car and try to make you pay for damage was there already. It made me so upset because the same company did that to us as well. Thank goodness we had video and puctures of all the car damage and we proved the wrong. They are definetly not an honest company.
