Extortionate Fees, Rude Customer Service – Avoid Guerin Car Rental I recently rented a premium car from Guerin in Porto for a trip to Lisbon. The plan was straightforward: pick up the car on Thursday, return it on Sunday, with the car booked for three days. I also paid an additional €120 for the convenience of returning the car to a different location. Unfortunately, my experience with Guerin turned out to be nothing short of appalling. Driving from Porto to Lisbon (roughly 3.5 hours), we encountered massive, unpredictable traffic, which resulted in returning the car just 1.5 hours later than scheduled. To our shock, Guerin charged us four times the daily rental rate for this minor delay! This excessive penalty felt completely unjustified. We would have understood an additional charge equivalent to one extra day at the original rate, but quadrupling the daily cost is nothing short of extortionate. Adding insult to injury, I checked Guerin’s pricing, and renting the car for four days instead of three would simply have added one day at the standard rate I originally paid. Nowhere in the rental documents, invoice, or terms is there any indication of such exorbitant late-return penalties. Guerin’s lack of transparency and this borderline predatory pricing left us deeply frustrated. When I called their customer service to clarify, the agent was rude and dismissive, saying, “Don’t you see what the invoice says? It’s exactly that. This is what everybody pays, not just you.” There was no attempt to explain or address the issue. Instead, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of professionalism. It’s outrageous that Guerin exploited a minor delay to impose such disproportionate fees, especially after we had already paid a significant amount (€120!) to return the car in Lisbon. I strongly urge anyone considering Guerin to stay well away. There are plenty of other car rental companies that don’t rely on these kinds of predatory practices. My experience with Guerin was a massive disappointment, and I won’t be renting from them again.
Rented through Expedia. Got a top notch Hyundai Tucson. Everyone was super friendly and helpful start to finish. I didn't get the extra coverage but I payed attention to the car and everything turned out superb. I will use them again on my next visit
It was a very smooth rental experience with them. Was given a VW arteon in excellent condition and the pick up & drop off was very easy with a lot of automation. Special mention to Tiago who was so friendly and made the drop off experience effortless. Thank you.
Picked up the car at the airport quickly and easily. The airport office has many self-check-in desks where you can enter all your booking details without any help of a company employee (There was a huge queue at the neighboring car rental companies, which was clearly moving slowly. So I consider this a big advantage). No problems with returning the car either. The car was quite new, nice and clean.
Warning. Within 5 minutes my car broke down on a dangerous road (human error from their team). They left us on the road for 45 minutes before calling back to help. They spent the next 90 minutes sorting the car and leaving us to stand in the sun in august. We missed our day out and ruined everyone’s day. The reason the car broke down was because they DID NOT check it. Someone put wrong fuel - emergency light was on but they didn’t check before they gave it to us. They won’t compensate as they said “we let you return empty”. Well honestly I don’t think 30 euro of fuel is good enough for ruining our day. Take your money back and learn to look after people more.
I recently rented a car with them for a week, and while the rental experience started out well, it ended on a frustrating note. The car was in good condition, the pickup process was smooth, and everything seemed fine—until I returned the vehicle. After I dropped off the car without any visible issues, I received an email claiming there was a scratch on the trunk. This was completely false, as I had taken photos of the car at the drop-off with **no scratches** whatsoever. I sent these pictures to the company, explaining that the car was in perfect condition when I left it. Despite this, they went ahead and charged me **€244** for the supposed damage. What made matters worse was their customer service—or rather, the lack of it. After disputing the charge, I sent several emails with no response. It felt like they completely ignored my situation. I even had **insurance** through the rental company, but that didn't seem to matter. In the end, I was unfairly charged for something I didn't do, and their refusal to communicate made the experience even more frustrating. I would never rent from this company again, and I warn others to be cautious—they might try to charge you for damages you didn’t cause. In my opinion, this is outright **theft**!
I had read many negative reviews online of people being charged for damage or scratches they did not cause. I did not think it could be really true, or I thought maybe it was over exaggerated. I travel often and rent often and have never had an incident. 15 years of driving, I’ve never even gotten a ticket; something I’m proud of. I rented for 2 weeks recently in the summer of 2024. The experience was fine except for the return of the vehicle. They charged me €300+ euros for a scratch on the roof I know I did not cause. I never touched the roof. You could not even see the scratch except for looking from a very specific angle. I would avoid renting with them. It was my first and last time using their rental services.
I'm satisfied with the car pickup and drop-off, as well as with the car quality. It took less than 20 minutes to complete the paperwork on the screen and with the staff on-site. The lines of customers are much shorter than with other car services. Picking up the car is quick and easy. Dropping off is also easy and takes less than 10 minutes. We are a family of four, all adults. One large and three small luggage is fit just fine. We are glad that we're getting a Toyota Yaris hybrid suv. Great car, great gas mileage, easy to drive, easy to fit small parking. spaces. I pay extra for expressway pass which is right choice. Car comes with insurance that is saving some money. I would definitely use their cars again.
Don t try their electric cars! They don t provide the charger card they promise on the website, but advise to use an app: worse than a nightmare. Most chargers not connecting, only a few slow chargers worked. Guerin doesn t respond to complaints, they just bill 75 for bringing back the car 75% charged instead of 80%.
It was my worse experience ever I had! The agent was so unprofessional and gave me wrong information! The car was broken on the highway and ruined our day and our trip and nobody took any responsibility! Even they charge me extra money for no service! I highly recommend If you don t want waste your time and nerves don t go there!!!

Hatte einen Schokoladenfleck auf der Rücksitzbank. Es wurden 75 EUR für die Reinigung in Rechnung gestellt. So weit so gut. Zusätzlich wurden aber auch noch 24,39 EUR damage handling fee berechnet. Abzocke!

Péssima experiência , ao chegar tarde de uma viagem reservamos um carro! Um carro Híbrido categoria quando fomos ver a única opção que já estava lá era um BYD, 100% horrível , a funcionária disse que daria pra ir até o Algarve tranquilamente ( bizarro) autonomia pessima. E MESMO CIENTE SE RECUSARAM A FAZER QUALQUER COISA , EMPRESA PESSIMA, fomos em outro ponto da Guerin e se quer nem atender direito. NÃO ALUGUEM NESTA EMPRESA .

J ai un voucher, et le jour de la restitution je reçois une facture qui ne correspond pas ?!? Alors que le véhicule est rendu dans le même état, et avec le plein de carburant. Made the mistake of booking here again and it s exactly the same: Don t be fooled by the automatic machines . You do all the work yourself and you end up in a longer queue when you actually collect the car than with the other companies. Avoid.

Ao entregar o indivíduo reparou nisso também, mesmo assim, exigiu-me o pagamento de 116 . Agiu de má-fé.
Como já aluguei muitos carros na vida, sei que a experiência depende de muitos fatores, principalmente de quem está a a lhe atender, e da organização dos métodos internos da locadora. Minha experiência com a Guerin do aeroporto de Lisboa foi excelente, atendimento rápido feito no totem com ajuda de funcionário capacitado. O carro era novo, em ótimo estado, sem qualquer queixa. Na devolução sistema de inspeção rápido e cordial. Preço bastante acessível. Voltaria a alugar.

Tive uma experiência horrível na Guerin. Primeiro que eles não possuem atendimento 24h, meu voo era as 6h da manhã (horário que abrem a loja). Fui informada que podia deixar o carro lá sem problemas, questionei se depois que entregasse o carro tivesse algum dano o atendente só disse é isso pode acontecer, melhor tirar fotos . Na hora que devolvi o veículo tinha uma atendente por lá e pedi para que a mesma fizesse o checkout do veiculo e a mesma disse que era só deixar a chave do carro e que o faria depois. Para a minha surpresa quando cheguei ao meu destino recebi um e-mail informando que tinha um dano no para-brisas e que eu deveria pagar os 510. Entrei em contato por telefone e por email e eles nem se dão ao trabalho de responder. Me mandaram apenas 1 foto que nem comprova que era o carro que aluguei. NÃO ALUGUEM PELA GUERIN. Não é uma empresa confiável, e principalmente no aeroporto de Lisboa eles tentam tirar vantagem a todo custo.

Avoid. They fraud their customers with fake damages, charge your credit card and ghost you. See photo of the so called damages they sent us and the photo with took at check out. We ask for more proofs and they stop answering. I don t even understand how they can still do business while scamming this amount of people. If justice does not exist, the laws of universe while for sure take care of these thiefs. They respond to the comments on google like they care and they even write fakes positive reviews. Avoid for your mental and financial health. We should do a class action seeing that much of people being scammed.
**Guerin - Lisboa Airport** Recientemente alquilé un coche con Guerin en el aeropuerto de Lisboa, y la experiencia fue bastante positiva. El proceso de recogida fue eficiente, y el personal fue amable al explicar todos los detalles del contrato. La flota es moderna y bien mantenida, con varias opciones según tus necesidades. Lo mejor es su ubicación conveniente cerca del aeropuerto, ideal para quienes buscan rapidez al aterrizar. Como punto negativo, noté que en horas pico el tiempo de espera puede ser un poco largo. Sin embargo, es una opción confiable para moverse por Lisboa y sus alrededores con comodidad.
Fui lesado em 429 euros na locadora Guerin, Por conta de um risco imperceptível no paralama, e pasmém, esse risco ja estava e eu não percebi ao retirar o veículo e não registrei com foto. Tentei de todas as formas evitar que retirassem do caução esse valor e nada. Me roubaram 429 euros e fração. Livro de reclamação com registro do acontecido, e mail enviado questionando tal episódio e nada disso foi plausível para evitar que me descontassem o montanye cotado acima. Um absurdo!

En janvier 2024, nous avons loué un véhicule à Lisbonne. Tout sétait bien passé, mais, à notre grande surprise, 10 mois plus tard, un retrait de 30 euros a été effectué sur notre compte bancaire sans aucun avertissement. Nous avons donc contacté la société de location, et il sagirait apparemment dune amende. Nous leur avons demandé un justificatif, mais nous ne lavons jamais reçu. En revanche, les 30 euros ont bel et bien été prélevés. Comment est-il possible de débiter de largent sur un compte bancaire sans fournir de justificatif ? Nous trouvons cette démarche inacceptable.
Fiz um Rental com a empresa e tive uma péssima experiência, pois a Guerin passa ao cliente a responsabilidade de verificação de danos no carro no levantamento do veículo. A principio não notei nenhum dano, mas a entrega do Rental me foi avaliado um risco na parte inferior do carro, ao qual não há possibilidades de ter sido causado por mim. Agora a empresa está a cobrar um valor absurdo pela troca da peça ao qual não foi danificada por mim. Fiquei lamentavelmente desconfortável com o processo da empresa, pois para mim não foi transparente, pois a mesma passa a responsabilidade ao cliente de verificar danos que não são visíveis a um consumidor que não tem experiência em alugar carros, e ao entregar os operadores fazem avaliações que deveriam ser feitas na retirada do veículo. No meu caso alegam um risco na parte inferior do veículo, um sítio quase impossível de ser danificado. Outra questão importante é a falta de orientação que recebemos ao retirar o Rental, sendo posteriormente cobrados por danos que não foram causados por mim. Não tive boa experiência com a empresa, me senti lesado, enganado e não indico seus serviços dessa empresa a nenhum consumidor. Quando procuramos uma empresa esperamos um bom serviço com responsabilidade, respeito ao cliente, honestidade, e brio profissional, o que não obtive no serviço do qual me foi prestado.
Expérience CATASTROPHIQUE, nous allons récupérer la voiture à 9h30, aucun soucis. Lors du retour de la voiture, l employer nous annonce que le cache bagage est cassé et que nous 406 nous seront prélever sur la caution à 500 , sachant que lorsqu on a prit la voiture celui-ci était déjà casser mais nous pensions que c était seulement dévisser sur les côtés et que nous pouvons le mettre ou l enlever à notre guise. DE PLUS nous avons montrer la vidéo de la voiture prise dans un parking à 5 minutes de l aéroport il nous a dit que la vidéo n avais pas été prise dans LEUR parking, bref A FUIR HONTE DES ARNAQUEURS

We prebook our car rental through AMEX. Not only did they add a BUNCH of charges to our rental, they gave us a car with air that only worked on the highest fan setting. Were still disputing all the additional charges two months after returning home.

A Guerin imputa-me um dano na viatura que eu não fiz conforme podem verificar nas câmaras e também no registo fotográfico que efectuei. A juntar a isso prefere ignorar a fotografia que enviei alegando que a mesma foi tirada de um local distante e que não é possível efectuar a sua verificação. Encontro-me lesado em 358,30 por algo que não fui eu que fiz. Nunca mais farei negócio com esta marca e tenham bastante cuidado, e prefiram outras marcas, para o aluguer de viaturas. São totalmente desonestos, inflexíveis e os clientes são apenas uma fonte para tirarem dinheiro mesmo que seja de forma desleal.

Er was dan ook gaan wachtrij in tegenstelling tot de andere huurbedrijven. We waren dus in een mum van tijd op weg. Afrekening Via Verde liep correct. Inleveren hectisch maar dat lag niet aan GUERIN. Geboekt via Rental Cars. Dat was duidelijk voordeliger.
They are cheapest rental car at the airport in Lisbon, however months after return they will charge you visa extra money with no explanation what for. When you ask why the visa was charged extra, the response is we charged your visa correctly so good luck getting money back!
We were reluctant due to various comments but in the end the service was top notch. The car was brand new (with 1k km only), we had no issues picking it up and returning to the airport. All the employees were very friendly and glad to help. They have semi automated pick up stations in the airport due to which lines were non existant. Overall, we were really happy with the service provided.
Want to know how Guerin profits off you? Heres how: 1. Rent you an electric car. 2. Give you a non-functioning Galp Frota card no explanations, no in-car instructions, and outdated info on their site. 3. You spend 3 hours driving around Lisbon trying to charge the car. No luck only prepaid services. 4. You return the car with 20% charge. 5. They hit you with a 30 fee for electricity + a 60 penalty for a low charge. PROFIT. Hey, Guerin do you realize that for 60, your employee should be running on a treadmill to charge the car? Thats the only way you could justify that cost. Bunch of frauds. And yeah, Guerin skimped on the EMEL green stickers, so you have to pay for parking, even though parking for electric cars is free in Lisbon. And please, stop with the we don t do that nonsense other rental companies manage to obtain them just fine.

Not happy with how Guerin deals with their EV-offering. Opposite to all other rental companies Ive rented EVs from, where you can return the car with some reasonable level of battery charge (like 20% or more), Guerin expects you to return it with like-for-like/equivalent as what you had upon pick-up, which seems to be 80%. With petrol cars, this make perfect sense since you can fill up the car in 5 min on your way to the airport. BUT this is more complicated with EVs, which is something all other rental companies understand. You cannot simply fill it up. You have to find a working charger and wait, depending on charging output, for some time until it reaches 80% or more. In Lisbon, this is not an easy task, and you have to make sure to do this on the night before assuming you have an early morning return. It also means overriding the cars default (Guerins own programming) max charge level which is set at (!) 80% . If you dont, youll end up waiting/hoping for the car to charge to 80% (the car will stop after that unless you reprogram the setting) and then reach the airport materially below 80%, and then get a penalty from Guerin. I was charged 90 for penalty and electricity. Then their customer service is a literal black hole where you never get any response at all, or just plain nonsense back. I would not recommend Guerin, especially not their EV offering. If you go for it, make sure you allocated hours for charging the car to 100%, after reprogramming the car to accommodate it, so you have that 20% to reach the airport.
I have rented van back in April. This was fine. Only thing to drop a point they charge for OOO pick up. But my flight was late. Wizz air always late

Rented a car for 2 weeks in beautiful Portugal with the family through Guerin Lisboa airport. I have coverage through Visa travel credit card but purchased extra insurance through Guerin (base & pack light gold). At car return airport an attendant brought to my attention that I damaged the rim. They charged me 181 euros for the damaged rim on top of the $300 euro insurance pack light gold that I purchased. They then said to contact your visa to get that money back. Investigating further I realized the package I purchased covers rim damage. We have been emailing customer service for a month and no one answered back. Scammers!!!!! I am in the process to get Visa to investigate.
Lamentable et man uvre frauduleuse, lors du retour de la voiture,lemployée a relevé un dégat (eraflure sur pare choc arrière gauche, même pas enfoncé ledit pare choc) dont je suis persuadé quil était déjà là à la prise en charge du véhicule. Pour celà, il ma été facturé plus de 340 pour un fait que je nai pas commis. Mon erreur a été de faire confiance et de prendre la voiture à laéroport de Lisbonne dans le parking qui est très mal éclairé, sans faire de photo. Ce sont des escrocs qui ont une politique de facturation de dégat très bien rodée car, vu le nombre de clients qui attendaient pour se faire facturer des dégats, jen déduis que soit tous les clients conduisent très mal, soit cest volontaire de la part du loueur pour attraper les clients confiants. A fuir au plus vite.
I was afraid we would get ripped off in a similar way people described here so we were extra careful. We took minutes-long videos of the car to find everything and report some damages via mail (not sure they ever read it, though). We didnt use their messy online protocol. I was overall really happy and can absolutely not emphasise the bad experience many here have had. The car was great, worked like a charm, pick up, drop-off were very easy, the price was cheap and it was very transparent. I would rent again with them any time. Only thing to improve would be that many people after arrival walk straight to the return counter (ground floor). The pick up is upstairs. First go to the counter in the terminal (not the garage) where all other car company counters are, check in at the computers or ask staff, then go to pick up, upper floor in the garage.

Récupération de la voiture on me dit fait le tour prend des photos entre les voitures voiture toute grafigné et malpropre Au retour de la voiture chaos total encore une fois et on me charge 70 euros pour l essuie glace arrière que je n ai jamais utilisé car je l ai supposément brisé!!! Je répète ne louez surtout pas avec Guérin ni à lisbonne ni à Funchal!

Aluguei uma viatura com a Guerin lisboa e na altura do check in um funcionario disse que nao precisa checar a viatura pois nao tinha danos e estava nova! Nao fiz uma verificação previa a mesma por confiar na palavra do funcionario! Para minha surpresa fiz a devolução da viatura e me cobraram o valor de um risco ao qual nao fui responsável, mas digo que fomos super mal recebidos pelo segurança noturno que foi super ignorante e despreparado! Enviei um email a uns dias atraz e nem resposta obtive. Numero de contrato 4955964 se por favor puderem ver a situação. Golpe!
Horrific - blamed for some damage we hadnt even noticed on the vehicle and magically this came to our entire excess amount. Basically held hostage at the desk and forced to pay without any evidence as to how they assessed the damage instantly, or why it was so expensive. The process to collect the vehicle had been slow in the first place, which meant I had no time to take pictures when I collected the vehicle, although unless I had taken close up pictures all over the van this damage may not have been visible anyway. Worst experience in 17 years of booking this trip.

I also had read negative reviews but had nothing but a positive experience. I was assisted at the check-in kiosk and key counter. Dropping off was easy (despite the airport s horrible car rental layout, design, and signage). The self checkout kiosk was intuitive and I received no extra charges or fees on my closing statement. Based on this experience I d use them next time I visit.

Unjustified Charges, Horrible Service in Lisbon, and Total Disrespect My experience with Guérin Car started in Porto, where the staff was super friendly and easygoing. Everything seemed smooth and hassle-free when picking up the vehicle. However, returning the car in Lisbon turned out to be a nightmare. Unlike the laid-back attitude in Porto, the team in Lisbon conducted the most thorough inspection imaginable when returning the vehicle, looking for even the slightest scratch to charge for damages we absolutely did not cause. Immediately after the return, I received a bill for damages that were not caused by us, and they withheld my deposit without any valid justification. Guérin has never hassled us over such minor issues before. It s completely ridiculous, especially considering we took great care of the car. I even have before-and-after photos clearly showing the car s condition. Despite this, they refused to listen. The scratch in question is even visible in the photo that the Porto team sent us when we picked up the car. This clearly shows they are acting in bad faith. It s no surprise to see one-star reviews all over Google Maps for this company. The service in Lisbon was horrible, the staff was disrespectful, and clearly anti-tourist. They spoke in Portuguese among themselves, completely ignoring the customers, which is a huge sign of disrespect. As a long-time customer of Guérin, I have never had such a deplorable experience. I don t understand their way of doing business; it s completely unacceptable. As a frequent traveler, I will never do business with Guérin (Enterprise, Alamo, etc.) again. I strongly discourage anyone from using this company. If you do rent from them, demand a complete and thorough inspection BEFORE taking the vehicle and another one when returning it, both in your presence. vous ne récupérez pas la voiture à l aéroport de Porto mais une navette vous y emmène. Vous devez appeler à l aéroport sur un téléphone fixe le service pour que la navette vienne c est un peu difficile à comprendre lorsqu on ne parle pas la langue. Une fois arrivée sur place, c est un peu long avant de récupérer la voiture. Vous devez renseigner à nouveau toutes vos informations et il vous force à prendre, une assurance avec eux qui inclut la caution ça c est normal. les personnes qui travaillent sont souriante et agréable, mais c est un peu long avant de récupérer la voiture.
Ich habe weltweit mit Autovermietungen nur negative Erfahrungen gemacht. Bei Guerin kann ich mein Auto selber abholen, am Automaten meine Daten und anschliessend meine Schäden erfassen. Zudem wurde mir nie eine Zusatzversicherung aufgeschwatzt, was sonsg bei jeder anderen Vermietung vorkommt. Gerne wieder
Beware! Not sure how this company stays in business. Upon picking our car up, they made a picture of the car from each angle making us think that no additional attention is required from our side. At the return they found some small scratches and charged us additional $700. When we requested to see the photos that were taken they said that they dont have any. We did not touch anything but couldnt fight back. Lesson learned
I was a few minutes late to drop-off my car and was charged for another day. I wouldn t mind being charged IF I was told. The staff did not mention the charge at all. I was only informed that I would be charged for gas. I only found out about the extra 50 charge after I got the final invoice.

We rented through National and are part of the Emerald Club. National is handled by Guerin in Portugal, however the service is terrible and compares nowhere to the service of National in the U.S. Also the Emerald CLub status is not honored. We couldnt get a manual car and since only an automatic car was left at pickup, we were told that this would be an upgrade. Are you kidding me? We were further more charged a complete car cleaning fee for water stains on seats that we didnt cause. In fact they were not even visible under normal light, and especially not at night when we picked the car up. Upon our return a very rude lady of Guerin at the drop off accused us of ruining the seats and used her flashlight to show us outlines that were not visible under normal conditions. Also the person at checkout didnt show us the interior but only checked the exterior for scratches. The car itself was nice, but so are all cars by decent companies. The Guerin Company however is not recommendable. We wrote a complaint about the problems upon rental to the manager, she responded but did absolutely NOTHING for customer satisfaction. Definitely NOT Guerin ever again. Sorry @National - but they do not carry on the quality service that you provide everywhere else

I primi di agosto, io e i miei amici abbiamo fatto un road trip del Portogallo. Abbiamo noleggiato lauto dall1 al 6 agosto, prelevandola a Porto e restituendola a Lisbona. Al momento della restituzione, non sono stati segnalati danni di nessun tipo e ci è stato detto che i soldi della cauzione (600 ) sarebbero stati restituiti la settimana successiva. Per tutto il mese di agosto, non siamo più stati contattati, mentre le nostre mail e chiamate sono state ignorate. Servizio da nemmeno una stella. Fortemente sconsigliato.
We rented a car from the Faro airport for drop off at Lisbon airport. The car they gave us had almost no oil; the oil level low warning came on 20 minutes into driving. We called roadside assistance, they said buy oil and top it off, and we will reimburse you. Ok... When returning the car, the representative flew past the contract pages and did not allow us to review the final version prior to signing. We asked to go back to review to ensure the reimbursement for the oil was applied. He insisted since we had talked to someone over email it would happen automatically, so no need, and pushed for signature. It wasnt applied. I had to go back in person to ask for the refund as the person we had been emailing stopped responding for 4 days. Finally resolved it, but such a hassle. If we had already flown out, we wouldnt have been able to receive what we were owed, for a car that they hadnt maintained properly.
They provided a car with 75% charged battery saying that if I bring it with more than 50% I won t be charged. I brought it with 68% and they added 77 euros to the bill (50 euros for charging and 17 euros for electricity). This is complete nonsense!!

Excellent du début à la fin ; accueil souriant, rapide et pas insistant, on a à aucun moment limpression de se faire arnaquer. Le check-in est fait tranquillement par soi-même (self check-in). On avait peur de recevoir un siège auto en mauvais état : et non il était propre, avec une housse protectrice, adapté à lâge de notre bébé et installé par le fournisseur. La voiture était propre et en bon état. Quelques défauts nétaient pas mentionnés alors on a pu les mentionner lors du check-in. Nous venons de rendre la voiture et ça sest très bien passé aussi et a été très rapide. La meilleur location quon est eu jusquà maintenant. Nous recommendons !

I rented a car for 2 days. As i rented it the workers didnt mentioned that i need to take damage pictures of the car and also didnt tell me the protocol- that if you have a scrach over an inch it means that you have to pay each scrach/damage 160 euros. Of course the car wasnt new and had a lot of existing scratches that I didnt do. As i returned the car they started to search for scratches with flashlights and started to blame me for all of them. It took me over an hour to discuss it with them and i had to ask for the manager. It was a really bad experience and i would not recommend to rent a car with this company. A week before that i rented a car from record.go and it was with a much more reasonable restrictions and the staff were amazing.
Evitar absolutamente. Desastre total Llegué allí con mi reserva (176100). Me dicen que cancelaron mi reserva. Les pregunto porqué, me dicen que no saben. Les pido si tienen coches disponibles, me dicen que sí. Per a un precio 3 veces superior al que reservé. Les pregunto porque es tan caro, y me dicen que porque es del día mismo. Pero si tengo número de reserva Alquilo coche todos los meses. He probado todas las compañías que existen. Nunca me pasó esto. Pensé que Goldcar era lo peor, pero hoy descubro Guerin, y me doy cuenta que hacia abajo no hay límites..
En réservant une voiture auprès de cette compagnie, je nétais pas très rassurée vu les commentaires de certains clients. Je recommande cette compagnie, service très efficace, enregistrement en ligne, bornes digitales disponibles et collaborateurs présents pour toute aide si besoin, voitures disponibles au sein de laéroport, la clé est disponible dans un Locker qui souvre avec un QR code (mais des agents sont sur place si besoin daide), voiture neuve en très bon état.
Hoe Geurin een leuke vakantie verpest door slechte rapportage vanuit het bedrijf.. Wat een grote grap zeg. Ze raden je aan bij het op halen foto s te maken van schade op de auto en dat hadden we gedaan van bestaande krassen en deukjes. We hebben mooie ritten gehad met de Hyundai Kauai. Bij het inleveren van de auto in Lissabon stuiten ze op missende touwtjes van de hoedenplank. Daar hebben wij geen foto s van, want wie valt dat op? (Aanrader: maak OOK foto s vanuit elke hoek van de binnenkant). De vorige klanten hadden ook geen foto s er van gemaakt, dus weer geen bewijs dat het al weg was. We hadden een eigen selfie gevonden dat er aan 1 kant al touwtjes mistten, maar dat was helaas niet genoeg als bewijs. Wie moet er nu 450 betalen voor een gehele plank waar 2 touwtjes van missen die er al niet op zaten.. WIJ?! Ik vraag me af of de vorige klanten dan ook hebben betaald voor de touwtjes als zij geen foto s hadden. Je handtekening moet je uiteindelijk wel zetten, want je kan niks anders.. Ik haat onrecht en daar heb ik echt wat van gevoeld op dat moment. Helaas bedankt voor deze ervaring Geurin. - Savannah

Abbiamo noleggiato lauto per un solo giorno a Lisbona per andare a vedere le scogliere sulloceano, pratiche burocratiche svolte in autonomia in 5 minuti grazie al totem ( agli altri desk delle altre compagnie cera molta fila ) si esce poi dallaeroporto e a 50 metri cè il parcheggio, si sale al secondo piano e si ritira lauto...in 15 minuti sei già in strada, ci hanno dato una seat ibiza nuovissima....alla consegna in aeroporto è ben indicato la zona di riconsegna delle auto, laddetto fa un check veloce degli esterni, interni e livello benzina e in 3 minuti sei libero....un paio di settimane dopo mi è arrivata unemail con il dettaglio dei pedaggi autostradali fatti e il costo che mi è stato trattenuto dal deposito fatto con la carta di credito....super consigliato
Récupération d un véhicule le 22/07/24 00h15 à Lisbonne, mon vol de Transavia a été retardé de 2h à Paris, ils m ont donc facturé 45 pour frais d ouverture tardive. L agent à l accueil a par contre été très professionnel. Au dépôt du véhicule personne ne m as rien dit, rien à signaler, En rentrant sur Paris, par surprise je m aperçois qu il me prélève 74,53 sans rien me dire, j appelle le service client (la personne que j ai eu au téléphone très sympathique et professionnelle) m a expliqué que ces frais correspondaient apparemment à « une rayure sur une jante » or sa fais 15 ans que je conduis, conduite prudente et minutieuse et je ne tape pas de trottoir, et pour faire une réclamation il aurait fallut que je prenne des photos de toutes les parties de la voiture. Frais pour ouverture tardive pourquoi pas.. Mais 74,53 de prélèvement sans explication à cause d une sois disant rayure sur une jante, Non. C était ma dernière fois chez Guerin..
These guys are criminals! I rented a car for 240 euros. I upgraded to an automatic and agreed to 440 euros but they charged 240 AND 440 for a total of 680 euros! They refuse to do anything about it. My credit card wont do anything because both charges are were authorized. UGH!!
Notre avion a été annulé 30 min avant le décollage et non remplacé, nous avions loué une voiture à Lisbonne chez Guerin, nous avons donc essayé de les joindre tout de suite par téléphone pour annuler la location , nous narrivions pas à les joindre, au bout de 10 appels, nous avons eu quelqu un mais qui parle que anglais ou portugais. Nous avons essayé de parler anglais mais la personne ne faisait absolument aucun effort pour comprendre. Nous avons réessayer plusieurs fois pour avoir dautres personnes mais même résultats, pas sympathique et nont rien voulu savoir. Nous avons envoyé une dizaine de mails mais ne répondent pas non plus. Donc zéro remboursement ( même un petit geste de leur part)et par contre jimagine a cette période estivale de l année que la voiture a bien été re loué de leur côté, double bénéficie pour eux. Très malhonnête de leur part.
Péssimo, não peguem viaturas nesta empresa ou antes de a tirarem verifiquem vocês mesmo minuciosamente aí mesmo. Na entrega da viatura que estava a utilizar 24/07 a senhora inspecionou a viatura minuciosamente até com lanterna, nisto chega outra viatura o colega dá a volta abre o porta mala e já está feita a inspeção noutro veículo, enquanto a senhora ainda está a ver o nosso e encontraram um dano na jante que não fui eu que fiz,nisto ficaram com a caução, e a senhora diz que na ficha da viatura estava um dano na jante mas não sabia qual . Mas cobraram a mesma antes de averiguar ao certo. Devem escolher quais as viaturas para cobrar. E além disso veio com lixo dentro.

Juste returned from an 11days rental. The process on arrival to get the car was a bit slow but we were several flights arriving at the same time so it was expected. After reading some reviews, I was a bit scared for my return if I would be blamed for damage that was already on the car (my rental time went flawlessly with 0 issues). Im happy to report that no hidden charges were billed and only what was used (mainly tolls) were charged as expected. Great service, will use them again for my next Portugal visit.
Personalmente no tuve ningún problema con el alquiler de una furgoneta de 9 plazas durante 6 días. El precio fue adecuado pese a ser un alquiler hecho en temporada alta y con muy poca antelación. Los empleados fueron amables y solucionaron todas mis dudas. No tuve ningún problema ni en la recogida ni en la entrega del coche. Todo fue muy rápido, fácil y cómodo. En mi caso, contraté la cobertura total.

Atenção a algumas reviews por aqui, se entregar o veículo tal e qual o recebeu ninguém lhe terá nada a apontar, no entanto a boa prática será dar uma olhadela em tudo e ver se o essencial está a funcionar, bem como tirar bastantes fotos/vídeos do veículo se achar necessário e reporte algo que não considere certo aos colaboradores Guerin antes de sair com o veículo do parque.
Het bedrijf heeft ons niet eerlijk behandeld. Guerin gaf ons een Fiat mee met een aantal schades waarvan er drie op het formulier stonden. In een slecht verlichte garage hebben wij bij het ophalen nog een extra schade ontdekt. Helaas hebben wij ook een schade niet gezien omdat deze met het blote oog niet zomaar zichtbaar was. De inspecteur heeft deze gevonden door overal onderaan de auto te voelen. Deze medewerker had totaal geen begrip voor ons standpunt dat dit niet door ons veroorzaakt was. Heel frustrerend om te zien dat de auto na ons door een andere medewerkster slechts oppervlakkig werd gecontroleerd. Als Guerin wil blijven beweren dat elke schade door de laatste gebruiker is veroorzaakt dan hebben ze in het proces nog heel wat te verbeteren, maar misschien willen ze dat wel helemaal niet...
Firstly most car rental companies have more negative reviews than positive just because of the nature of the business. Read this review and you will understand how and why this company is the best car rental company I ve ever had the pleasure of using. I used Kayak to find them and got a great price. 450 for a week in a premium full sized car. Their queue at the airport is non existent. Why? Because they nailed check in. They have self service screens with lots of staff there to help everyone through the process. They all speak lots of languages. All the other companies especially Goldstar had a massive queue. I would have paid 50 euros to avoid those queues! It took 10 minutes was painless and we were off to collect the car. The cars are in the terminal a short walk down the path. Maybe 3 minutes. When you reach collection the keys are their in a locker for you to collect but again their is someone there to help. It s fool proof. This is KEY ****** TAKE A VIDEO OF THE CAR BEFORE LEAVING ***** Note all scratches and dents. Obviously return the car with fuel full. As long as both of these things are done you reduce the risk of problems after drop off. The drop off at Lisbon Airport is also in the terminal and is brilliant. They instantly check the car for problems and report to you there if there are problems. So we left straight away with peace of mind. I couldn t ask for more. The deposit they block on your card was 1000 for our car so just be sure your credit card has enough balance for that. Also they never tried to over sell the extra insurance. I like this a lot. We never took anything extra.
Sem sombra de dúvida, a melhor empresa de aluguer automóvel no aeroporto de Lisboa. Preços bastante competitivos, sendo o destaque principal o processo de check-in e recolha do automóvel: sempre muito rápido e eficiente. Não existe melhor, isso eu garanto. Tendo alugado já várias vezes e estando familiarizado com todo o processo, não demoro mais de 5 minutos até estar ao volante. Os carros na sua grande maioria são novos e limpos. Inclusive já me foi atribuído um Hyundai i20 totalmente novo, com apenas 12 kms. Nunca existiram problemas na devolução do veículo, tendo sempre o cuidado de tirar fotografias de todos os danos existentes no carro no momento da recolha. Recomendo!
Aluguei carro em Lisboa pela Alamo que é associada e a Guerin que foi quem me entregou o carro . Em relação ao meu aluguel em Lisboa, não estou totalmente satisfeito por ter sido cobrado extra pelo GPS, enfatizei isso ontem ao telefone quando me ligaram pedindo feedback e pedi que cuidassem desse assunto. Como não vejo nada no seu email sobre este assunto, penso que não deram a devida atenção ao meu pedido, sobre a reserva de aluguel de automóveis Alamo/Guerin em Lisboa de 30/6 a 4/7, 2024: 5738088/1 e referência: 697769139 Pedi o GPS de painel , mas na retirada do carro não conseguiram fazer funcionar o do painel e quiseram me dar um GPS a parte minúsculo que não aceitei o GPS porque seria a parte em uma tela minúscula que eu nem conseguia ver. Ficou combinado com os 2 funcionários que me entregaram o carro e garantiram que seria retirado do meu contrato a cobrança no contrato de aluguel , na entrega a mesma história , solicitei novamente a retirada da cobrança e me disseram que iriam resolver e se fosse cobrado seria reembolsado, resultado foi cobrado a mais e vejo a cobrança meu cartão cobrado integralmente com a taxa de GPS do 8,64 euros por dia total de 34,56 euros, estou muito chateado Posteriormente recebi uma ligação e e-mail do serviço ao cliente sobre minha locação e esternei a cobrança indevida , em comunicação com a Sra Monica do atendimento ao cliente disse que Alamo/Guerin reconhece a cobrança indevida a mais , mas não consegue me devolver o dinheiro ? Ontem após toda essa comunicação recebi mais uma cobrança sobre pedágio , quer dizer consegue continuar me cobrando no cartão , mas não consegue me devolver a cobrança abusiva !!!! Por favor devolva a cobrança indevida , com certeza firmas tão famosas e grandes não precisam cobrar a mais de seus clientes Após essas conversas recebi uma interação que vão fazer o depósito diretamente e pedem o IBAN já fornecido e nada de pagar , firma ruim , não honra o que combinamos e fica dando trabalho , a questão não é mais pelo dinheiro e sim pelo tratamento enganoso , Paga logo o que deve , que vergonha

The company informed me 4 months, after I handed over the car that there were two more tolls that had not been charged by the automatic system they had given me and they also charged me other money that was not on the final receipt of the tolls that they had sent me and I paid normally. I find it unacceptable that 4 months later they are charging me for something on my card without any communication. Better to avoid the company if you dont want to be suddenly charged to your card without expecting it. Unacceptable. I have all the evidence that I paid all the tolls and of course I will do all your legal actions, it cant suddenly appear tolls after 4 months.
This is the only rental agency at Lisbon Airport that has a fully automated self check-in process with many available terminals. This means picking up the car is a breeze. I rent cars often at Lisbon Airport and am now only renting at Guerin/National/Alamo/Enterprise because of the highly efficient check-in process - I usually spend less than 5 minutes getting ready (it helps when youve done it a couple of times) and the same for returning the car. Efficient process and staff, enough terminals available (the only other car rental agency at the airport that has self check-in has only 2 terminals available so usually you end up in line anyway!), friendly people and I have never had any problems with the cars.

Worst rental experience ever . Prepaid 100 for an electric car, but they only counted 61, and I ended up paying 230 overall. They added 41 at pickup without clear explanation. Returned the car half-charged due to lack of charging instructions, and they hit me with an 88 fee for 25kWh charging 3.5 per kWh, a 1760% markup. Beware before renting!
Pior experiencia da minha vida. Eu jamais recomendaria esta empresa para qualquer pessoa. Pessoal extremamente indisponível e serviço ao cliente (i.e. serviço cliente, numero urgência, atendimento em loja) trágico. Liguei para a empresa no primeiro dia do aluguel e me prometeram ligar de volta. Pegaram o meu celular e o numero do contrato nas diversas ligações que fiz e até hoje - dia de devolução do carro - não retornaram e nem resolveram as várias questões que tivemos.
Autominute über TUI war problemlos von der Ausleihung bis zur Rückgabe. Nur telefonisch war niemand erreichbar, das funktionierte aber über die Guerin Hotline. Tolles Auto in sehr gutem Zustand.
PÉSSIMO. Não aluguem carro aqui. Tivemos problema no meio de um passeio por conta de falta de manutenção do carro. A chegada do táxi demorou mais de 2h desde o primeiro contato. Ainda fizeram eu e minha família ir até o aeroporto mais próximo para buscar um carro novo e só então retornar a rota. PIOR DE TUDO: não atendiam o telefone para assistência! Zero preparo para auxílio dos condutores.

I can only urge everyone to take detailed photos of the vehicle when picking it up, regardless of the self-checkout that is offered. I rented a car with completely scuffed rims, which were already noted as damage. When I returned the car, a member of staff noticed that the tires were damaged too. As soon as they are damaged on the sides, they have to be changed according to company policy. This cost me 580. These flaws were already there beforehand with regards to the already completely destroyed rims. I never touched the tires nor did i scratched them while parking or anything like that. Thats why you must photograph every little scratch and inspect the vehicle meticulously when picking it up. At the end, for the sake of sheer audacity, I was asked whether I was satisfied with the service. I just left before completely loosing it.

Theyre trying to get your money! Dont bother! I booked the car for a few days and took pictures of the entire vehicle. There were already scratches and damage to the rims, but now Ive been accused of some of the damage, even though the damage was there beforehand. Unbelievable! Our vacation was completely ruined because of this.

Können die schlechten Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Wir hatten keine Probleme bei der Entgegennahme und Abgabe des Fahrzeugs. Wir hatten einen fast neuen Nissan Juke erhalten, der top in Ordnung war. Es gab keine Probleme mit verdeckten Schäden. Also nicht von den schlechten Bewertungen irritieren lassen.
Haben hier für 12 Tage ein Auto gemietet. Den Check-In macht man an einem Automaten im Flughafen. Bei Fragen stehen trotzdem Mitarbeiter zur Verfügung. Dann holt man das Auto im nächsten Parkhaus ab und gibt es in dem selben auch wieder zurück. Bei uns lief alles reibungslos und unkompliziert.

I recently had a rental from Lisbon airport, I got a new Toyota Yaris Cross (about 10k mileage). The car is impeccable. I did take many photos due to some negative reviews as precaution. But it is a very pleasant and smooth rental. The pickup was quite fast, it is no contact process, but they do have representative available if you have any questions. The return was also fast and smooth, they checked car from outside and fuel indicator, and told me everything was perfect and let me sign the paper to end the contract. There was no issue at all.

I was very skeptical as most will be when reading all the car rental reviews from Lisboa air port. All the companies had awful reviews. At the airport we inquired about price and their price were better than the other companies we asked first. Before exiting the airport I ran back in to ask a rental quote with full coverage, I am glad we took the risk! We had a brand new polished car. It was beautiful, drove perfectly. The customer service was so fast and easy. The woman helped fill out the reservation, I finished it. We had complete freedom in Portugal to explore the country at our own pace. We had an easier return process with no surprises! The only additional fee acquired was for the tolls which was accurate. We will gladly return agian to use their services. Ohbrigada
Estoy muy decepcionado con guerin. Han cogido 1000 de depósito hace 13 días que tenían que devolverme y nunca me los han devuelto. No contestan a las llamadas no contestan a mis emails. Muy decepcionado el coche lo he devuelto bien me dijo el chico y ahora tienen 1000 bloqueado que no me dan solución a ellos. Mucho cuidado
By far the best and smoothest car rental in Lisbon airport. I have used Guerin four times now and never had to wait longer than 5 mins at the airport, easy pickup and drop off. Far better than other hire companies at the airport and offsite.
I would stay as far away as possible from this company. They offer absolutely no assistance when you are receiving your vehicle. They ask you to inspect the vehicle and record any damages yourself. However, when you return the vehicle they inspect the entire themselves and even check on the underside of the car which is an area you would not inspect yourself. They noticed damaged on the underside of the car which I argued was not from me and how they expected me to catch that before leaving. The person who was inspecting did not care and they charged me 500 euros plus fees for their inspection. I would stay away from this company or make sure you are prepared to inspect the vehicle very thoroughly including the underside.
While I was satisfied with the quality of the vehicle I rented, the after-sales service has been extremely disappointing. Specifically, I have encountered significant difficulties in communicating with your team. I have made three separate phone calls to your customer service department, none of which were answered. Additionally, I have sent three e-mails detailing my concerns, but I have yet to receive a response. There is no de facto support via phone/email.
Unbedingt Foto-Beweise sichern! Digitale Unterschrift wird ungefragt in Schadensprotokoll kopiert. Ein Kratzer, der mit der Mietabrechnung in Rechnung gestellt wurde, war bereits vor Mietantritt vorhanden. Das wurde 1. bei Mietantritt durch einen Mitarbeiter bestätigt. Das haben wir 2. dem Mitarbeiter bei Fahrzeugrückgabe mitgeteilt und per Foto belegt. Bevor ich die Fahrzeug-Rückgabe / Checkin unterzeichnet habe, habe ich 3. gefragt, ob mit der Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs alles okay ist. Das wurde mir 4. vom Mitarbeiter bestätigt. Trotzdem erscheint jetzt meine digitale Unterschrift in der Rechnung unter dem bezeichneten Schaden / Kratzer, als hätte ich das akzeptiert -> 187,45 für einen Kratzer, der nachweislich bereits vorhanden war. Das ist in keinster Weise zu akzeptieren! Wir hatten über ADAC eigentlich bei Enterprise gebucht, was besonders ärgerlich ist, denn dass Guerin die ausführende Vermietung ist, war nicht bekannt. Fazit: 1. Fahrzeug vor Übernahme komplett fotografieren, 2. keinem Mitarbeiter trauen und auch dem Unternehmen misstrauen, 3. Sofort Rechnung prüfen und ggf. Einspruch eingelegen. 4. vermeiden, bei Guerin zu mieten.
Check in e check out rápidos, bom preço e bom serviço, não têm limite de km, o que mostra algum respeito pelos clientes, ao levantar o carro recomendo que tirem fotos e talvez façam um vídeo, pois o carro tinha riscos que não estavam presentes no relatório, devolveram a caução em 24h e o carro funcionava perfeitamente, mas recomendo verificarem a pressão dos pneus e se tem água para limpar os vidros. Em relação ás outras empresas que vi sem dúvida que a Guerin é a melhor em termos de preço/qualidade. Ganharam um cliente!

Minha experiência com a Guerin foi extremamente positiva. Estava receoso por conta de tantos comentários negativos e, apesar de não conhecer a locadora, escolhi a Guerin por ter a nota menos ruim, se comparada as demais opções disponíveis no aeroporto de Lisboa. O processo de retirada do veículo foi muito simples e rápido, sem nenhuma burocracia, tudo realizado através do terminal de autoatendimento. Me deram um upgrade para uma categoria superior a que tinha reservado sem custos. Dirigimos um Hyudai i20, completo, com apenas 11 mil km., em perfeitas condições, pelas estradas de Portugal durante 8 dias, sem nenhum problema. O serviço de pedágio funcionou bem e no dia seguinte a devolução do veículo o valor foi debitado no meu cartão. O valor da caução foi estornado no mesmo dia da entrega do veículo. A devolução foi rápida e sem problemas. A dica é: no momento que receber o carro, fotografe todos os pequenos defeitos e avarias e registre no app. Assim, você se exime de responsabilidades sobre esses danos já existentes. Nota 10 para a Guerin, recomendo sem restrições.

Same experience as others. We checked the whole car and everything seemed fine. We even paid the waiver to remain covered against damages. We then had to do a contactless drop off due to our early departure and a few days later we received a bill for more than the entire weeks rental due to a scratch on a rim. There are companies that treat you decently and those that make money from pseudo damages and Guerin is one of them.
Betrifft: Abgabe eines Fahrzeuges Total unkomplizierte Abwicklung der Rückgabe seines Mietwagens. Die positive Erfahrung bei der Abholung des Fahrzeuges hat sich jetzt wieder nur einmal mehr bestätigt. Man fährt in eine Art Garage / Waschanlage, wo einem die äußerst freundlichen Mitarbeiter das Fahrzeug bereits abnehmen. Auch die Abrechnung (Mautgebühren, Rechnung, etc.) ist total fix und läuft einwandfrei. Nach wenigen Tagen war die Abrechnung komplett und es blieben keine Fragen offen.
Primeiro passa no ponto da locadora, fiz tudo pelo ponto automático e tive ajuda da atendente nas dúvias. A retirada do carro na garagem também foi rápida e tranquila e a atendente também foi solicita. A devolução foi extremamente rapida apesar de estar cheio no dia, rapaz também foi educado e rápido na avaliação. Não tive nenhum problema quanto a isso. DICA: no dia de devolver ou no anterior, passe em um posto com auto lavagem, lave e aspire para evitar essa cobrança da locadora. No posto foi 5,9 E a lavagem, e 1E para aspirar. A lavagem é rapida e você nem desce do carro. Aspirar você faz você mesmo, em 4 minutos. Na locadora, salvo engano, 40 E - Único ponto negativo foi que paguei por um carro sedan híbrido e me deram um SUV flex. Sobre pegar o suv nenhum problema, porem não era hibrido. Só não estou tirando as estrelas porque me atrasei duas horas, infelizmente, com a imigração, que demora 1h30 no mínimo. Então pelo meu atraso peguei o que tinha e fiquei satisfeito por não tem perdido a reserva. Eles deixam claro que a reserva é segura por 29 minutos apos o limite. Então outra DICA: Reserve a retirada no mínimo após duas horas a chegada do seu voo para evitar ficar sem seu carro.

Despite some adverse reviews we rented from Guérin for two weeks. It was a perfect experience although the pick up experience was a little daunting because of the automation. But... this is Europe and its quite advanced compared with the US. Next time itll be a doddle. We took out the insurance but not expensive like in the US.
You check in at one location, pick up the car at another and return it at another, I found this part confusing. Other than that, I thought the rental with this company Guerin was very good. I would definitely do it again.

We picked up the car, did a quick inspection and everything looked good. When we returned the car, the agent inspected the car as if her life depended on it and she found scratches on the tire rim. We only parked the car in hotel parking lots where there werent any curbs, so its impossible that we created the scratches. Even so, they nailed us for an extra 100 euros. If you rent from Guerin, make sure you take pictures of every single piece of the car, no matter how minor the ding or scratch so you dont get scammed when returning your car.

Claimed they did not have a contract in English and had me sign a Portuguese one. Close to $100 euros over charged. Wish I had read these reviews before using this company. Turns out it was the manager I was dealing with, which is who I was directed to, to dispute charges. As you can imagine that went no where. Lesson learned. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Online gestionas la alta del contrato (creo que este paso ya debería estar hecho, y más cuando reservas a través de otra web donde ya has aceptado las condiciones y has introducido todos los datos pedidos). Aun así fue bastante rápido. Con el contrato firmado vas al edificio que hay cerca para recoger el coche. Cuando te entregan el coche revisas los daños y aceptas el estado del coche. Cuando lo devuelves, te revisan el vehículo, muy rápidos y en seguida te dan el OK. Unos días más tarde te cobran los costes de autopista de Vía verde. En general, fue bien. Lo recomiendo.

We were concerned about some of the negative reviews, but our experience with Guerin was excellent. The rate was very competitive (and we shopped around a lot), pick up and drop off were seamless and fast, and the employees we dealt with were all friendly, professional, and helpful. Unfortunately, we did cause some damage to the vehicle - a scrape against a badly placed pillar in a parking garage, and then a flat tire. There was no spare, so we had to call Guerin, and they sent a tow truck and a taxi to take us to the nearest Guerin office where we were given a replacement for the disabled car. This all happened as quickly as we could have hoped for - given that it happened in a small town with no Guerin office - probably no more than 90 minutes. Given the reviews complaining about unjustified damage charges, I was worried about the charges for the damage we actually caused, but the amount charged was under 400 Euros, which seemed reasonable to replace a tire (it was blown out, not just flat) and repaint a door panel. We would happily rent from Guerin again if we return to Portugal.
Was worried about all the negative reviews but decided to chance it cause I didn t want to take a shuttle from the airport to the other rental places. I rented a Yaris Cross and drove to Lagos for a few days and back to Lisbon and was fine. The car was fairly new and had zero issues. I opted out of all the insurance options and didn t have any issues. They do check for damages (especially the wheels) on the return but we had no issues. I would recommend making a video of the car at pick up to document any existing damages as evidence but mine was in excellent condition. The only negative was that they gave us a pretty old car seat but it did the job. I would rent again in the future.

Fast and easy to pick up the car, only took a bit of time to get the car seat which didn t seem very safe compared to North American standards. There was only a buckle for our child in the crotch area and not a 2nd around the chest area. I got a car with a bunch of scratches on it that was not indicated on the rental contract so I was worried I would need to argue with them when returning the car. I took pictures just incase but the return process was very smooth and quick. I wish I was told about how to use the toll routes with the device that was in the car. Didn t realize they would automatically charge my credit card. There are a lot of toll roads in Portugal that don t have a cash option so that stressed me out after the first day of driving on a toll highway because I was thinking guerin would fine me. Turns out it s simple and I would have saved myself a lot of time over the 2 weeks of driving if I knew that. I would definitely get a rental car from guerin in the future if returning here since most of the issues were quite minor and good customer service trumps all in the car rental business
Não realizaram a devolução do caução. Em 27 de janeiro de 2024, em Lisboa, Portugal, realizei a locação de um veículo junto à empresa GUERIN, conforme contrato nº 4728286. Durante a transação, efetuei o pagamento integral antecipado da locação, além de fornecer uma caução no valor de R$2.839,72, equivalente a aproximadamente 500 euros, por meio do meu cartão de crédito (final 4664). Após a devolução do veículo, a GUERIN comunicou que o reembolso da caução de R$2.839,72 seria processado em um prazo de 7 dias. No entanto, essa restituição não se concretizou. Até a presente data, quase 3 meses, não houve a devolução do caução.

Eigentlich gut bis sehr gut, ABER!: Wegen einer Elektronikpanne (3 Errors) am Auto und Ausfall der Servolenkung mussten wir nach 2 Wochen (und rund 2000 gefahrenen Kilometern)in Porto das Auto wechseln. Das Auto wurde abgeschleppt. Wir bekamen Ersatz am Flughafen in Porto. Alles geschah in enger Absprache mit Guerin. So weit, so gut. Nach Rückgabe des Ersatzwagens in Lissabon das böse Erwachen: man hat uns eine Strafe von in Summe 399 verrechnet, weil wir das erste (kaputte) Auto nicht vollgetankt zurückgeben haben!!! Wie sollten wir das Auto volltanken? Es war verkehrsuntüchtig und wurde auf Anweisung von Guerin hin abgeschleppt! Auch wurde uns beim Autowechsel versichert, dass es kein Problem mit dem Tanken geben wird; nur der Treibstoff werde verrechnet werden. Das Schlimmste ist, dass man unsere Reklamationen ignoriert! Unsere Emails werden seit 6 Tagen nicht beantwortet. Telefonisch erreicht man nichts.Natrülich ist der Betrag aber schon längst bei uns abgebucht worden. Zusätzlich wurde uns für das zweite Auto eine Leistung verrechnet, die wir für das erste Auto nicht abgeschlossen hatten: noch einmal 100 . Also sollen wir 500 mehr zahlen, als geplant und als wir für gerechtfertigt halten. Übrigens war unsere ursprüngliche Buchung über Check24 nur 270 für 3 Wochen....
Extraordinary experience from pickup to drop off. Everyone we spoke with was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Guerin to anyone. Our rental was a Jeep Renegade. The pickup garage is dark and common sense should apply (use a flash light to inspect every part of the car). It was easy to document the small damages we found. I do recommend getting the via verde. It does make things easier. I asked about getting GPS in the car and the attendants advised it would be cheaper to use your phone data and didnt try to up sell us even though they could have easily done it. It was an amazing experience. Well definitely be using them again.
Absolutely stellar experience. I was initially apprehensive due to the mixed reviews so I decided to go with the no deductible insurance on an Audi rental. Guerin is cost competitive as it has a digital and mostly automated process with staff member available to help if needed. The Audi car I got had all the minor damage well documented on the web app that is used to check out the car. The car ran extremely well and had Android auto in it. It seamlessly synched to my cell phone so I had GPS on the cars large screen. Loved it. The car effortlessly cruised at 120-140 km/h in the south of Portugal and Spain equipped with its toll tags that allowed me to effortlessly cruise tolls and be billed later. I was accurately billed and happy to pay upon returning to my city about a week later. This is really convenient. Returning the car was a breeze even more so since the car had no additional damage. Advice for North Americans: if you are uneasy about parallel parking in tight spots in Europe go for the no deductible insurance and park like a Parisian without much regard for kissing the curb with your wheels or causing minor scratches to your bumpers. I gladly did not cause any damage to the car but having peace of mind was well worth it.

Somos de Maricá-RJ / Brasil. Estive nesta locadora no dia 12 de abril de 2024, com minha esposa grávida de 6 meses. Fomos muito bem recebidos e locamos um HB20 com apenas 7900km. A retirada do veículo é um local de fácil acesso e o procedimento de checagem da condição do carro é feito através de um QR CODE, que te leva para um aplicativo da empresa, mostrando os danos ou problemas já relatados por outros que locaram o carro. Caso encontre algum outro dano, basta apenas tirar foto e adicionar ao aplicativo, e pronto. Como foi nossa primeira vez nessa locadora e como não estávamos acostumados com o procedimento de retirada do veículo, fomos muito bem atendidos pela Sra. Mônica, que com muito zelo, forneceu todas as explicações necessárias. Pagamos o valor do carro pelo cartão WISE, e também foi exigido um valor caução de 300 euros no cartão de crédito. Explicaram que esses 300 euros seriam estornado após a entrega do veículo, com o tanque cheio e sem irregularidades. Confesso que fiquei receoso, mediante a tantos comentários negativos sobre essa questão do valor de caução. Ficamos com o carro por 3 dias e no retorno, entregamos com o tanque cheio, e mais uma vez, fomos surpreendidos por uma checagem rápida, eficiente realizada pela Sra. Ana, que também nos tratou com bastante carinho. Ela explicou que no máximo em até 4 dias o valor caução de 300 euros seria estornado,,para que não ficássemos preocupados. O local de entrega do carro também é bem fácil e rápido. 24 horas após a devolução do veículo, já havia sido estornado os 300 euros do meu cartão de crédito. Portanto, a empresa é confiável, com veículos novos e tem um processo claro e transparente. Recebemos todas as informações do nosso contrato pelo e-mail, sem qualquer problema.

Rental eines Autos für 2 Wochen. Die Abwicklung am Flughafen ausbaubar, das Auto jedoch wie gebucht und sauber. Keine Probleme mit Zusatzversicherungen o.ä. Das Auto wurde mit dem on-board Mautsystem gebucht. Die Maut wurde auch von der Kreditkarte abgebucht. Nach 3 Monaten erhielt ich nun einen Brief des Mautbetreibers mit einer Nachforderung von Mautgebühren. Ebenso nach 3 Jahren erneute Forderung der Mautgesellschaft Das on-board System anscheinend defekt bzw. die Abwicklung mangelhaft. Guerin antwortet auf Kontaktanfragen nicht. Das nächste Mal werde ich nicht Guerin buchen und empfehle es auch niemanden.

I was quite apprehensive about the car rental experience here, as I did considerable research on many of the companies with rentals at the Lisbon airport and noted the high number of negative reviews (many places with 1-2 stars on Google). Coming from the US (and this being my first time visiting both Portugal and Europe in general), I am used to good car rental locations having ~3 starts on Google, so after some time, I ended up booking with Guerin (through Enterprise), as they seemed to have roughly the ratings I expected. In short, I had a very pleasant experience. The rental cost about what I had booked for (with the first level of collision coverage), the staff were helpful (if a bit in a hurry) when picking up the car, and when I returned it there were no issues (even though I noticed a minor nick on the car that I hadnt photoed on pickup). The tolling system worked seamlessly too, and I received an itemized bill for all tolling charges within ~10 days of returning the car (and note that, for most of the toll roads, they tell you how much you paid when you exit, so you should be able to roughly keep track of what to expect). The cost I paid was definitely worth the value I got from having the car on my particular trip, especially considering that driving was actually quite pleasant (in the off-season). The main thing I learned (largely just from booking): the assumption of risk is different for Portuguese (and maybe European, more broadly) rental companies compared to the US. In the US, if you decline additional coverage, you pay a base rate assuming no damages, and if something happens, you pay some unspecified amount (perhaps limited in some way, but I havent had to deal with this or look into it in detail). In Portugal, you can opt to do this, but they state what the excess limit you are liable for is, and may also require you to pay that as a deposit (to be returned when you return the vehicle). To avoid this liability, you can opt to pay for additional collision coverage (sometimes with multiple tiers), and then pay a reduced or no deposit (aside from the rental fee). In some sense, this may be useful, since you know you are only liable up to, say, 6000 . In practice, however, this leaves you exposed to additional risk that you may not want. The alternative (which I took), is opting for one of the collision coverage options (in my case, the mid-tier one) and reducing your liability (and deposit) by some amount. This obviously increases the cost of the rental (~20 /day in my case, I think), but this still put it in line with typical rates in moderately popular US destinations that I have traveled to. It also (based mostly on reviews I have seen), may change the attitude the company has towards you regarding damages and reduce the likelihood that they will hold you responsible for something that you didnt cause and/or notice. There is a cost associated with this of course, but weigh that against the risk of failing to be sufficiently diligent (and the likelihood you cause damage yourself), and it seems like a fine trade (at least for a vacation). So, if the prices seem cheap until you have to pick a collision coverage option (or until you pick up and they suggest one for you), this is probably why. If thats too expensive for you, compare some other companies and see what is reasonable. And if it still seems expensive, compare it to the cost of taxis/private drivers, and see how it weighs given your trip plans.

A RENTAL COMPANY TO ABSOLUTELY AVOID! We rented a car with airport pickup at 11 PM, already paying extra for evening pickup. Our flight was delayed, making us arrive after 11 oclock. We had already done the online check-in, but none of Guerins computers were working at the airport to proceed with the final registration phase. We waited for about half an hour, after which Guerin charged us an extra 48 euros in taxes because it was past midnight. When we went to pick up the car, they wanted to give us a smaller car than the one we paid for. The night before returning the car, we were rear-ended while parked. There was no insurance document in the car, and for over an hour, we tried to contact Guerins assistance service to figure out what to do. None of them spoke English, they repeatedly said they would call us back within 5 minutes, but no one did. We were charged for the accident expenses (damage + damage management) even though it wasnt our fault. If the insurance company determines that the fault lies with the other driver, the credit will not be issued until 60 days later. Incompetent, dishonest, thieves, and with no desire to work! Rent from another company, for a few extra euros, you will definitely get better service.
I hired a car from a segment and Guerin gave me a car from the segment below. Also when our flight arrived late they charged each customer to service the bookings after midnight. We could not control the time of arrival and they took the opportunity to make a few more euros out of passengers who could not control the delay. Don t recommend this company.
The same hairline scratch on edge of rim from another reviewer they tried to pass onto me .. this time they wanted over 200 euro for a hairline scratch that takes a detective to find in the dark garage.. guy went specifically to that spot to mention it . They are trained to milk customers. Avoid company until they get some ethics.

Passei por 3 experiências de aluguer num curto período, todas com franquia no cartão e sem pagar seguro, e não tive problema com nenhuma. É só se assegurar do estado do veículo no momento do checkin, tomar cuidado com o carro, que não terá problemas. A Guerin foi disparado a melhor experiência, tudo muito moderno e atendimento incrível. Nada a reclamar, só elogiar.

Avoid at all costs. Got charged 210 euros for a tiny paint scratch that was on the car for God knows how long. The pickup area was overcrowded and dark, and it felt like some shady car garage, not serious car rental company. Trust me, I know shady car garages, I am from Balkans.

I had a very negative experience with Guerin car rental agency in Lisbon Airport. I returned the car it in perfect conditions. The car was accepted by the company, but I have still not received my deposit back. I have been trying to contact the service desk for more than a month, but no one has responded to my requests or emails. It was a good experience during car pick-up process, but the deposit return process and customer service has been a nightmare and ruined all positive impression about the company. I would not recommend using Guerin car rental agency. Avoid them by any means. Upd: In addition, I was charged 3 weeks after the end of the lease for no reason! I contacted Guerin customer service to inquire about the status of my deposit but was not given a specific time frame for receiving it. (Contract number 4594679.)

Bom dia, venho por este meio, fazer uma reclamação por vários motivos relacionados a viatura que aluguei. Assuntos, os pneus da viatura não estavam em condições normais para circulação, com o risco de fazer acidentes, no dia para entregar o carro o pneu estava vazio e não foi possível desmontar o mesmo porque a chave de roda não estava boa. Tive que chamar uber para me deslocar ao aeroporto com o risco de de perder a viagem. Quanto a assistência, atendeu-me uma pessoa sem educação, muito rude e sem maneira de fazer o serviço. Foram às 4h da manhã para trocar o pneu e não conseguiram, pelo que foi necessário chamar outro trabalhador que só estaria disponível as 9h, e só assim conseguiram trocar o mesmo pneu. Tive que chamar a minha filha às 4h da manhã para ficar a controlar a viatura. Acredito que a chamada com a assistência tenha sido gravada, a assistência falou comigo em um tom extremamente rude, sem empatia para com a situação em que me encontrava. Também a assistente assegurou-me de que carro seria rebocado e depois o seguinte trabalhador disse que não poderia sendo que era só trocar um pneu, coisa que o mesmo não o conseguiu fazer as 4h, sendo necessário os cuidados de outro trabalhador as 9h da manhã. Agora querem cobrar-me 209 porque dizem que fui o responsável, sendo que cheguei no carro e o pneu já se encontrava completamente vazio e peças amassadas. Péssima experiência, não recomendo.

Elegimos Guerin por las facilidades para alquilar el coche y poder pasar la frontera a España, ademas de que esta en el propio aeropuerto. El servicio esta muy automatizado pero hay suficiente personal para atender las dudas. Rapido, facil y muy parecido de precio a los demas. El unico problema es el que tienen todas las compañias de renting en el aeropuerto: la entrada para dejar el coche esta escondida y la gasolinera mas cercana tambien tiene la entrada escondida sino te la conoces.
Schalter gibts nicht mehr, dafür Automaten und sehr hilfsbereite Unterstützung. Die Ausschilderung zur Fahrzeugübergabe ist fast nicht vorhanden. Bei der Übergabe selbst dann Wartezeit und ein Hauch von Chaos. Letztendlich hat alles geklappt, auch wenn es viel länger als erwartet gedauert hat.

This was the best car rental experience Ive had. Despite s very busy airport and every other car rental stand having huge queues, Guerin was the only one with self- service counters assisted by staff. It took me 5 mins to retrieve my booking and sign off admin/documents, and about 3 mins to collect the vehicle. Drop off was just as easy and quick. Recommend after much slower and difficult experiences with other low rated providers. Staff were also helpful and friendly.
When can I get my security deposit (500 euros) back? It has been almost a month since I returned the car. All the positive expression on Guerin is now turning into the terrible experience. I have sent several emails to the customer service, but no response at all. My rental agreement no. is 4631358.

Uns wurde die teuerste Versicherung verechnet, die wir nicht wollten und auch nicht angewählt hatten. Ein Mitarbeiter hat uns beim Abholen übers Ohr gehauen. Zudem wurden uns Kosten verrechnet, die nicht im Vertrag standen. Auf eine Antwort von Guetin und das Depot warte ich nich immer.

30 minutes après avoir pris lautoroute, mon pare-chocs sest détaché en pleine autoroute, en plus avec mon bébé dans la voiture! Jai contacté lassistance Guerin qui ma indiqué de revenir au plus vite au lieu de récupération du véhicule. donc perdu 5h de ma journée et 144km pour refaire le Parcours arrière. Jai dû attendre encore 45 minutes car ils ont essayé de me remettre un véhicule de catégorie inférieure une Yaris au lieu Corolla que j ai refusé. En plus de ça je n ai même pas reçu la fiche de remise en état du véhicule ils m ont juste jeté les clés de la Corolla sans prendre le temps de contrôler le véhicule. Point positif la prise en main avec la personne à l accueil dans l aéroport était très bonne.
Tout était bien mais le prix de la différence de lassurance tous risques est exagéré comparé à dautres entreprises de location.
The system works and the people are friendly. Nevertheless, as they try to automatise everything, the process of picking up a car just gets slower. Unfortunately an example showing the digitalization isnt always better. There is some room for improvement from an IT side.
Overall very easy rental experience. Checkin was automated but there was a staff member there to guide us through the steps and explain the available options. Car was in good condition with a full tank. Drop off was easy too. The staff were very friendly and spoke English very well.

Worst Car Rental Service ever. AVOID GUERIN AT ALL COST(MANY PEOPLE HAVE FALLEN VICTIMS OVER THIS COMPANY. DON T TRUST ME, GOOGLE YOURSELF!) They gave me a car with a missing document and at the end of my rental, they charged me for this missing document. I complained this even to their parent company enterprise and they agree with me that I should not be charged for this. I have raised this with their customer service and they just brushed it off and close the case against my will. Little I did notice, a lot of people are complaining about GUERIN(for 11 years now) and this is clearly a big problem. You can search online you will see a lot of people complaining on how they try to find mistakes and add extra charges to everyone for various reason. (Note: there were another person complaining at the counter when I had this issue, which show how many people are troubled by their unprofessionalism) I am very disappointed with the overall experience, Considering they are representing Enterprise, where I expected to have a seamless experience.

GUERIN NUNCA cobrou meu cartão. NUNCA me informou de nada. Ao ser informado pelo meu banco que NENHUMA COBRANÇA HAVIA SIDO REALIZADA, a GUERIN se recusou a buscar uma solução para cometida. Client depuis plusieurs années, jai été surpris par larnaque suivante : arrivé de lavion tout juste avant minuit pour récupérer la voiture, lemployée prend mes documents, attend un peu, puis mannonce que je dois payer une commission de 44 euros parce quil est minuit passé de 1 minute, et qu après minuit il y a une commission. Je lui dit que jétais arrivé avant minuit , elle me dit que linformatique ne permettra pas davoir la voiture sans payer parce quil est 00h01. Jai payé parce quil était tard et que je navais plus le choix mais quelle mauvaise foi et malhonnêteté !!!

Will be returning the Alamo rental car in the AM so we will see how the ending goes. The pickup was not good as the online reservation, including all fees, taxes vat, etc. documented at 85 Euros but rate at pickup 103 Euros. Desk person said nothing he could do. Followup email to Geurin not answered. I will report bacl on what Alamo doe in the states.
Nós deram um carro com nível de óleo do motor baixo. No caminho para Espanha começou a aparecer uma luz no painel. Procuramos a Alamo de Sevilla que disseram que não poderiam trocar o carro pois foi alugado em outra unidade. Qual a vantagem de alugar de uma empresa que tem filiais em toda Europa? Passamos parte do nosso tempo precioso de viagem encontrando um local para trocar o óleo do carro alugado.

This could have been a good experience but Guerin ruined it over a silly thing. We had a reservation to pick up our car at 07:00. Our flight arrived into Lisbon earlier than expected so we approached their rental desk at 06:00. The stern and impolite woman working there would not allow us to pick up early even though there were no other customer waiting to check in. She directed us out of their kiosk area and made us wait. I offered to modify the reservation for earlier and she was in disbelief that I would suggest such a thing. She kept saying you must respect the process as if this was some moment of authoritarianism. We had a four drive in front of us and this was quite frustrating and surreal to have to wait an hour. And they had plenty of cars! Otherwise the experience wasn t bad although the drop off a week later was very chaotic, Guerin was not staffed properly to handle the influx of returns.
Do not use. Service is bad, no response after weeks! Took my deposit charged a fraction for damages not at fault and did not refund me or responded when I asked for difference back! Take advantage of international travellers. Never again and I will be sharing this feedback with all my family and friends. Worst company ever for rental

I made a reservation through Enterprise which is a partner with Guerin at the Lisbon Airport. I have averaged about 20 rentals a year over the past few years and this was hands down the worst company I have ever used. Do not use this rental partner. They charged me 260 euro for a small scratch on the wheel I did not make. Upon explaining it was preexisting they did not budge and said you probably have insurance through your credit card, just use that to my face. It seems as this is a very common practice with them, as they are looking to just pocket damage charges on top of their rental charges. Terrible customer service and I will be warning all friends and family to avoid them. They provide a terrible last impression of Portugal, and hope no one else has to deal with this dishonest company.
Après la remise du véhicule, lun dentre nous sest rendu compte quil avait oublié son porte monnaie. On appel donc quelques heures après la fin de la locatipn, ils disent quils vont nous rappeler mais rien. Cela fait maintenant une semaine que jappelle 10 fois par jours et impossible de faire le suivi. On dirait quils mevitent. Peut-être car ils ont gardé le porte monnaie et largent? Cest très dommage. A brand doesnt mean nothing nowadays.. Enterprise, Guerin.. this is deterioring your brand.

Bad experience renting a car with guerin!!! They charged me double what I have to pay, and you dont answer the email or give service on the phone for this problem!!!
As I needed a car for a week to replace my personal car which was repairing, I decided to book an economical city car at Guerin Lisbon Airport. After passing the Guerin counter, where I was immediately helped by a friendly employee to check in at the self-service machine, I was told that 600 would be deducted from my card as a deposit until the end of the rental period (7 days) and then, if there was no damage, I would be refunded that amount in full. I then went to floor 2 of the rent-a-car building where I was once again assisted by another very diligent employee in collecting the key and locating the car in the garage (based on a QR code sent by SMS). This link also gave me access to a questionnaire, valid for 30 minutes, to report any damage I found. All this without wasting a single minute in queues. I picked up the car at around 09:00: a Fiat 500 convertible. The car return was also very easy and trouble free. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by a very friendly and efficient employee, who went to check the car, very quickly (2 min max) told me that everything was OK (I returned the car in the exact same condition as given), and told me that the 600 deposit would be returned within 2-3 working days. He greeted me and I left, extremely satisfied with this service. At the end of that same day (today) the 600 deposit was returned to my card! I confess that I was a little apprehensive about the outcome of this booking because it was only on the last day that I read the many negative reviews on google, which I really dont understand because the truth is that I only have good things to say about this first experience with rent a car Guérin at Lisbon airport.

Everything went well. Car was almost new with 20k km and just a few scratches. They got the digital form so you can take a pictures of every little scratch and dent before you take the car, which is time consuming, but its better because no one can fool you around at the return. They refunded deposit one hour later.

Very dishonest place. They changed the rental price signicantly upon pickup, and then said the price I had expected to price was an estimate and that I should read the contract - they were rude and jerks about the whole episode.

ABUSIVO. Alugamos um carro há um ano e agora estão chegando multas por falta de pagamento de portagens. Acontece que no contrato consta Via Verde (o serviço de portagens) mas eles não fizeram os débitos no cartão. Não nos demos conta disso e nem chegou nenhum aviso. Agora, temos de pagar um valor absurdo pelo tempo de atraso.

Der Empfang im Parkhaus war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wir erhielten den Schlüssel aus einer kleinen Box, eine hilfsbereite und nette Dame half uns dabei. Das Auto, ein Clio war fest neu und war perfekt für die Reise in die Algarve. Keine Probleme mit dem Auto. Die bereits von Guerin aufgenommenen Schäden erhielten wir per Mail zugestellt. Die Abgabe des Wagens im Flughafen in Lissabon lief zügig und unkompliziert ab. Auch hier, sehr freundliche Angestellte. Unsere Erfahrungen mit Guerin sind gut. Wir werden wieder kommen. Danke.
Be aware! I was charged 119 extra for a scratch on a wheel that I failed to notice as I picked up the car in the dark and cramped pickup area. What a joke. The car looked in very good condition. I did take a video of the car on pick up. Unfortunately, I didnt take a close-up shot of the wheel, and that was a mistake that would cost me 120 . The staff at return is clearly trained to look for such small details and informed me that I had to sign an accident declaration, which I refuse to do. The scratch on the wheel would have been impossible to see in the darkness of the pick-up area unless you had a torch (which they have on the return zone! :) The very rude young man I dealt with informed that he wanted to keep his job and had no choice but to charge me unless I could prove that I didnt have an accident.... have a look at this photo and judge for yourself.

Never again. Thae car is not ready after 3 weeks reservation. You paid for Automatic they want to give you mechanical. On the End extra charge is a fraud and I paid alls insurances.
I left my sunglasses in one of their vehicles by mistake. After 3 months of back and forth with their customer service and no help or feedback from their end, they ignored me completely. My advice is to make sure you dont leave anything behind in their vehicles. I dont think this office understands the concept of lost and found. My only consolation is that they are prescription sunglasses and will be useless to whoever kept them in this office.

Wir buchen immer inklusive aller Versicherungen (ohne SB) über check24 und wählen als Vor-Ort-Verleiher dann Guerin. Ob das die Maut-Abrechnung hinterher ist, die einfachste Fahrzeugrückgabe oder die schnelle, freundliche Bedienung - alles top
I also had a terrible experience with a rude staff at the return who charged me for a scratch which was aleady there. I took a lot of photos before renting and they all disappeared although they were uploaded to their server. So, I had no proof. Also, the car was parked extremely close to a concrete column at their garage and the scratch was exactly at the place where the wheel was almost touching the column. Coincidence? On top they also charged me 30Eur for a dirty floor. I travel a lot and have borrowed many cars in various countries . This is the first company which charge you cleaning fee for a dust on the floor. Their customer support is as useless and rude as it possibly can.
Very reasonable price for the quality of the rental. The car was new and well maintained. A wolf(?!) ran out in front of us at night on the highway, and the car made the emergency stop from 120km/h in an impressively short distance.
Après une réservation de 7 jours chez Guerin à laéroport de Lisbonne pour un très bon prix quelle surprise au moment de rendre le véhicule ! Cest bien la 1ère fois quon me facture 25 de plus car mon chien a laissé 3 poils sur le tapis de sol et encore 25 de frais pour créer ce dommage et tout ça bien sûr hors TVA soit un prélèvement de plus de 70 (plus cher que la réservation initiale pour 1 semaine de location). Vous vous prenez pour qui Guerin ? Quelle belle intelligence de votre part de récupérer de largent sur des sois disant dommages inexistants, créés de toutes pièces par vos services ! Cest nouveau de facturer un nettoyage pour 3 poils de chien? Je ne savais pas quil fallait passer dans des SAS de désinfection avant de rentrer dans vos voitures ! En plus dêtre malhonnêtes, vous nêtes pas aimable et je me demande bien doù sortent tous ces avis positifs à votre sujet ! Cest honteux et du vol ! Plus JAMAIS !

Don t recommend Guerin. Absence of communication is a big mistake. Local tax was just charged after a car return without explanation. Guys didn t pick up a phone while my car rental, didn t answer my Emails after. They just don t care. The car was ok, nothing to complain. But service :( Do something- communication with customers is a key.
Un peu compliqué pour prendre possession de notre voiture de location. Tout est informatisé et nous ny sommes pas habitué. Le service/support, par contre, était très bien.
Der Mietwagenanbieter hatte seinen Schalter im Gang zwischen dem Terminal und dem Parkhaus. Den Check-In sollte man dort selbst an einem Automaten machen. Es stand zwar ein Mitarbeiter daneben, der einem bei Problemen half, was man eigentlich alles unterschrieb und bestätigte, wusste man bei diesem Procedere aber nicht wirklich. Am Ende bekam ich mehrere Zettel ausgedruckt, die ich an der Fahrzeugausgabe im Parkhaus vorlegen sollte. Auf einem davon standen die Vorschäden aufgelistet, worauf mich weder im Flughafen noch am Fahrzeugschalter jemand hinwies (zum Glück ohne negative Folgen wie bei anderen Rezensenten). Die Mitarbeiterin dort war sehr unfreundlich, genervt und kein bisschen kooperativ, nachdem ich moniert hatte, dass das Auto einen viel kleineren Kofferraum als im Internet beschrieben hatte. Das Auto war ansonsten in Ordnung, und die Fahrzeugrückgabe in Faro lief später problemlos ab, aber nach diesem vermiesten Start in den Urlaub werde ich beim nächsten Mal sicher einen anderen Anbieter wählen.

Ils me disent que les photos de carrosserie enfoncé ils ne l ont pas reçu et que ce n est pas dans le rapport de restitution du client précédent ! Conclusion faite les photos et stocker sur votre téléphone comme preuve leur site web n enregistre pas tout. Pas honnête
