Overall good experiences renting from Rentauto in Lisbon. Decent prices, fairly recent cars, however I have had tyre problems in the past. Courteous and helpful staff. Missing a counter at the airport or somewhere else in the city for Zest reservations.
Perfect place to rent a car when you're visiting portugal. Pickup at airport is possible and its a personal experience, no waiting, person waits for you and gives you car immediately in few minutes. Contract is simple and no hidden fees or charges. No upselling as well. Insurance possible but i didnt take it and it was all fine - just take good care of the car and thats it. I rented for 12 days and got Peugeot 208 in diesel and it looked almost brand new, no problems at all, very comfortable and also very good price. Look no further. I wanted to avoid big corporations which try to scam every time and rented here and would rent again. Thanks Vasco for great pickup even at late hour!
Fantastic service and car! We have rented twice from Rentauto and they bring the car right to you at the Lisbon airport. You can drop the car off with them the same way. Very cool. I found it helps to use WhatsApp & to buffer your times a bit because they will surely be waiting for you. Will use again. Obrigada!
We rented a Peugeot 2008 from Rentauto in faro airport for 5 days and to bring it back to Lisbon airport. Everything went great and Vasco was already waiting for us when we give back the car, it was a smooth process and he even helped us guide us to the correct way we needed to go. We used Zest Car Rental to review available rental companies and rates. We chose Rent Auto and were pleased with their service (in person and phone) as well as the car. We speak a little Portuguese and were appreciative that we could communicate in English. We would choose these companies again! Obrigado
Car was at the airport and representative was early and very ready to help us. All paperwork was done quickly and promptly. Vehicle was clean and fuel tank was half full, vehicle details were explained to the detail I asked for. Price was very reasonable!Thank you
Great service and such friendly staff at their office both during pick up and drop off. Dropped of their white Peugeot 208 on Saturday. The gentlemen explained everything patiently without trying to push for any add ons. Had a very smooth and quick drop off experienced they didn't try to pin any existing damages on you as you get with some rental companies. Will definitely use them next time and recommend them
We rented a car directly from RentAuto as they were one of the best reviewed companies on Zest. The reason we went direct is that RentAuto's comprehensive (SuperCDW) insurance is not a policy (unlike Zest) but provided direct, so wouldn't have the hassle of claiming it back had there been a problem. When we arrived in Lisbon, we were met by a friendly rep at their airport (Oriente) office who showed us round a very new Peugeot 308 and made sure that the car's language had been changed to English and took the time to explain the controls and motorway toll transponder etc. We paid exactly what we'd been quoted and there was no "upsell" at all, like you get with some car hire companies. We brought the car back to the same office after 2 weeks and were met by the same guy who checked the car back in with no issues. We received the motorway toll charge on the credit card a couple of weeks after coming home. All in all a smooth and easy experience - would definitely rent with RentAuto again in the future.

Bardzo mi a obs uga zarówno podczas odbioru i zwrotu auta. Wszelkie drobne ryski zosta y zaznaczone na folrmurzu podczas odbioru auta. Zamówi em Seata Ibiz , a dosta em Seata Aron , wi c mi e zaskoczenie :) Auto czyste, zadbane. Wszystko ok, jedynie klimatyzacja mog aby by od wie ona.
Having spent some considerable time investigating my car rental options at Oriente station in Lisbon ahead of a trip from the US, I found myself dismayed by the repeated tales of return damage scamming and upselling with all of the big name players. The exception seemed to be Rentauto, so I decided to take the plunge and go with this smaller outfit. I m leaving this review in order to encourage folks in a similar position to consider doing the same! The entire experience from initially reaching out via email and selecting a vehicle to the hassle free pickup and drop off experience, together with the great condition of the vehicle itself all ran contrary to the many horror stories I had read concerning their competitors. I was so nervous to rent in Portugal, but Maria José, Augusto and the team at Rentauto Lisboa were fantastic. Great car. Fast, easy pick up and drop off... I shared my oatmeal cookies because they were so nice. I would rent from them again, without hesitation! Obrigada!
We cannot recommend RENTAUTO enough! We booked with them via Zest, and it all went beyond smooth. We got and returned our car to the Lisbon airport. Instead of waiting in the super long lines for the bigger car companies, we were met immediately by a RENTAUTO representative as soon as we cleared customs. They immediately helped us sign the remaining paperwork, no upsales or unexpected charges, and took us immediately to get our car from the garage at the airport. When we returned the car, super tired at the end of our trip and early in the morning, we werent 100% sure how to get back to the garage where we needed to get the car. We called the rep and he came to meet us where we were and handled everything. We very much appreciate RENTAUTO and would definitely use them again in the future!

My friend and I planned a 2 week-long road trip through Portugal, Extremadura, and Galicia, and booked a car through Rentauto. Being the silly American that I am, I accidentally pre-booked a manual without realizing. We got to the office and signed in and I stepped in the car and realized there was a clutch. I got a bit nervous as I didnt know how to drive a manual. The gentleman there offered to get an automatic for us instead, but he didnt have any of them ready at that moment. He made a couple calls around to outsource one from another dealership. He called me back later in the day with a super nice and clean SEAT Arona. Also, as other people have said it will cost exactly what they say it will (theres no upsell): for me, it was about 300 euros in total to rent for 10 days (this was also WITH a young driver fee, insurance to Spain, the extra added-on upgraded price for an automatic, and the 14 euro-per-day super collision damage waiver insurance). Amazing experience and I appreciate these guys so much. I will absolutely be back :)
