Rented a car with Goldcar for our Christmas trip to Portugal. Honestly, the price was so much lower than other companies that I was a bit worried. But I'm happy to say that both the car and the service were excellent! No hidden fees, the car was clean and in good condition, and the pick-up and drop-off were smooth. Will definitely consider them again for future trips.
This company has to be the biggest car rental scam I have ever seen, and I have rented vehicles for over 20 years. When you pick-up its in such a low light area that I needed to use my phone flashlight to inspect which makes finding previous damage very difficult. Now of course when you drop off its very well lit helping their inspectors find the smallest defect in which they will try to charge you, which seems like it is done on purpose. The main issue I ran into is a small crack on the windshield that they said I was responsible for. When they sent me the invoice it states unless I disputed than I would be charged. I did dispute but they went ahead and charged anyway. The reason I disputed the crack on the windshield is that their own documents say that there won’t charge for defects on glass less than 20mm. I requested proof of the defect was over 20mm with measurments but they refused to provide and still charged which seems extremely fraudulent. I also asked for the defects to be itemized on the invoice and what the charges were for each, which is required for submitting to my insurance coverage, and they also refused. Be careful of renting from them and if you do, I would suggest you require them to move the vehicle to an area with good lighting, do a full 360 video outside and in and make sure any findings you have the attendant record it right there and have them sign. I have read reviews on many websites that seem to suggest this is their normal business practice to offer cheap rates, set up the environment to make it difficult for you to properly inspect and to charge you for defects even if they might have been there before.
I would like to inform you of my story with goldcar and of what type of car was given to me at the time of pick up. The car was not checked up at all. First of all as I could see straight away when I seat on the driver’s seat the tank was not completely full as I took a picture to verify the situation so I don’t get overcharged when I return the car with the same amount of petrol as was given to me. Secondly the car was with more then 100000km so it’s super used car fora rental company. Third, the interior of the car had not been cleaned. But now comes the part of security. The car doesn’t have an extra tire, no fluorescent vests or even triangle for an emergency or any problem that the car could have and force to stop on the road. This is the first time that a rental car gave me a car in such poor conditions and I’ve been renting cars for 20 years. It’s incredible how you even use this car and give it to people. Another aspect is the amount of people working in your car pick up garage and not a single had the decency to check the car properly and make the decision that the car was not in conditions to be given to any goldcar costumer. This is immensely disappointing and comes with a lot of frustration when I have a rental of two weeks and I had to travel all around Portugal with such an insecure vehicle. In addition to the above, the car kept erroring with an oil and motor failure making the car stop working and making impossible to continue driving, also had another light indicating that the tire pressure should be checked that never switched off even after I checked the tires at the gas station After return the car in such poor conditions to swap it for another, I apparently should have called the toe truck to get the car from where I was, that’s what I was informed by goldcar staff, but I had the decency to return it to the airport’s goldcar garage even through all the difficulties to drive that car stopping on it’s on all the time. The car was checked by the staff that again suggested that that car should have been just picked up from where it was and that I would have any costs on swapping with a new car since this was a defected car and was goldcar’s mistake to give to me. I swap cars. No more problems and return the second with no issues and no extra costs because I returned the car perfectly as I collected it. After several days I get charged €43.11 by goldcar on my credit card. Sent several emails requesting an invoice for better understanding of what I’m charged for, and no answer. Just that my case would be seen and I would be contacted. A month as passed and my case is still not answered. Had to end up cancelling my credit card and ask my bank to force a dispute to get my money back since that was an unfair and unexplained unexpected charge. Thank you so much for the hassle and the stress provide by your rental, it was really a god given holidays. Never again I’ll rent a car with this company.
The car was dirty inside and out with the windscreen incredibly greasy. The tyre deflation warning light was on at collection and dismissed by the rental handover staff. The car park was suffering from double parked cars making maneuvers to get the car out of its parking space difficult. The service warning light came on during my hire period. The windscreen washer fluid reservoir was empty as I found out on my drive to our hotel. Collection at the rental desk was relatively easy and drop off the same. Opportunities to improve car preparation before customer handover I think.
Rented a car on my recent trip to Lisbon. Service was so fast, easy and friendly. Returning the car to the airport was fast! The car I had was brand new with less than 13K km’s. Clean and in perfect shape. All this, and the best part was that they were priced much cheaper than other companies! Will definitely use them again in the future!
I recently had a fantastic experience with Goldcar Rental at Lisbon Airport. The pick-up process was straightforward and hassle-free, making my journey begin on a positive note. One of the standout features was the inclusion of an electronic transponder, which made paying for motorway toll incredibly convenient. I had booked a small electric car, and to my delight, I was upgraded to a charming open-top Fiat 600. The car was in pristine condition, exceptionally clean, and fully charged when I picked it up. While there were minor cosmetic scratches on the bumper, they were noted on the contract paperwork, reflecting Godcar's attention to detail and transparency. Driving the Fiat 600 was a joy! It truly enhanced my experience of exploring Portugal's beautiful historic sites, and the open-top feature added an extra layer of fun. Charging the vehicle was a breeze thanks to the MIIO app, which provided easy access to various charging locations. Returning the car was just as efficient as pick-up, and I appreciated the thorough inspection process with the Goldcar operative. They communicated well via email regarding the car return and any tolls incurred during my travels, which were also accurately billed. This was my third experience with Goldcar, and I couldn't be more satisfied. I'm confident I will book with them again in the future!
First time renting from Goldcar after having used different companies for rentals. Positive experience from them starting at the service desk where the lady that attended me was very nice, courteous and friendly. The car was clean in and out and had low kilometers. Overall, a positive experience.
Everything was great, except no one told me about the car charging rules. When I went to charge my car, I found out I needed a special physical card that you have to order and wait for delivery. Of course, I didn't have it with me, so I had to ask people nearby who were charging their cars for help. Thanks to them, I managed to charge my car. Big minus to the company for not warning about this!
Très déçu par un loueur pourtant largement éprouvé. Location pour une semaine avec assurance refusée sur place pour une soit disant non conformité de ma carte d identité. Le gouvernent français validant une carte jusqu à ses 15 ans mais avec une validité écrite dessus de 10, la mienne échut depuis 2018 (mais encore valide) non accepté. Pour info, la même agence m a accepté en février et janvier avec la même carte d identité. Résultat : 300euros se perdus et une semaine de vacances sans voitures. Oubliez goldcar qui brille par ses pratiques à la limite. Une belle brochette de voleurs qui sait y faire. Petit prix mais qui rentabilise sur tous les clients recalés ou à qui on demande des surcoûts. A vos risques et périls. Au passage, Rentalcar qui ne nous q trouve aucune solution de remplacement est à mettre dan le même sac.

Entretanto o turista inglês que estava atrás de mim foi recebido com um enorme sorriso na cara e um hello sir.... . Entretanto alugo carros frequentemente em quase todas as outras operadoras
DO NOT RENT WITH GOLDCAR. They are a dishonest company. If you rent online, at the counter they will force you to pay other amounts like the automatic toll device (that you dont need it) and airport fees (something the others dont charge) and the worse... they will try to charge you pre-existing damages from previous rentals. The car I rented had a few issues including a noise in the wheels when turning that made me feel unsafe. The car was basically a crap piece of metal with 4 wheels. Not clean and making noises everywhere. I took photos of everything and I was lucky that I was able to prove with photos, the damages were pre-existing and even that way they filled a claim of 416 Euros for damages that I had the photos before picking the car. I recorded on my phone the conversation with the Goldcar agent warning about the damages before leaving but even with that they filled up the claim to charge me. For your own good, run from GOLDCAR.
La peor experiencia de mi vida, alquile un coche hace ya dos meses y me siguen llegando cargos del alquiler. No explican nada y no hacen más que sacar cobros de cualquier cosa para que pagues. No lo recomiendo en absoluto

Attention quand vous louer à avoir impérativement une carte de crédit sinon la location vous coûtera beaucoup plus chère que prévu. Dans mon cas, plus de 500 au lieu des 135 initialement prévus ! Un peu limpression de mêtre fait avoir.
Rien à dire, pas de prise de tête, l agence se situe directement dans l aéroport, la prise de véhicule était facile et le retour facile, la loi oblige la souscription au badge via verde ( j ai payé 6,46 pour 3 jours) et comme je n en ai pas eu besoin, sur demande ils m ont remboursé ces frais ( comme expliqué en agence) Donc rien a dire. Je recommande

Realizei uma reserva na NET e optei pela GOLDCAR, afim de dar mais uma oportunidade, Ilha Terceira não correu bem e em Las Palmas também; - Esta em Lisboa Reserva = 26659084, levantar 23:30 dia 13 e entregar 16H00 dia 14, como iamos a consultas medicas era o suficiente Nosso voo S4128 Chegada prevista 23H30, deixamos a informação do voo na reserva, Sistema da Golcar só deixava por 23:00 e não aceita as meias horas ao meter 24.00 ou 00.00, dá erro. Voo chegou a horas e 23H30 estávamos no balcão, 2 senhoras muito simpáticas atenção mas limitadas no poder de decisão, informamos porque tínhamos chegado 30 minutos depois da reserva tínhamos uma penalização de 40.00 - fiquei incrédulo( reparei que a penalização estava da reserva ), a senhora ao lado testou e confirmou a situação e ou problema, disse que sim o sistema não deixa efetuar conforme a verdade da necessidade disse eu simplesmente não é o valor em causa, é os factos que levaram à penalização porque é inadmissível devido a um erro da GOLD CAR e disse que a UBER agradece e certo que agradeceu quem necessita de andar só por lisboa esqueça alugar carro - use a UBER e outras empresas do ramo - GOLD CAR, não consigo perceber desta forma de trabalho já devia mas era fechar as portas e dar hipóteses a quem quer trabalhar nos dias de hoje não é admissível estes tipos de erros e ou dar ao supervisor do balcão poder de resolver desde que estejam bem justificados. - Não poderei de anotar a Simpatia das senhoras......

Ich warte seit 3 Monaten (Oktober 24) auf eine Abrechnung und meine Kaution (560 ). Bei der Fahrzeugübernahme gab es kein Zustandsprotokoll. Ich kann Goldcar definitiv nicht empfehlen.
O carro estava em mau estado, avariou o elevador da janela do condutor. Carro de substituição categoria inferior, devido a ter a no momento a não haver carro disponível e ter que esperar 30 minutos.

Mon mari loue une voiture via internet et reçoit son contrat de location avec une franchise de 1200 euros bloquée sur sa carte visa et reprise du véhicule le 8/01 a 5 h du matin , jusque la ok ! Sauf que au moment de la réception du véhicule , la franchise est passée a 3000 euros ( gloups ) et la voiture est pleine de grattes et de bosses ( photos a lappui ) .........Lorsque , nous ramenons la voiture a 5 h comme convenu , personne et , il faut juste mettre la clef dans une boite !!! La franchise de 3000 euros sera bloquée daprès la banque pendant 1 mois !!! Nous venons maintenant de reçevoir un mail disant quil y a des grattes sur la voiture ( alors quelles y étaient déja ) Belle arnaque car je suis certaine que ces grattes ont déja été remboursée plusieurs fois par différents clients et que la voiture sera relouée plusieurs fois avec les mêmes grattes .......Je suis dégoutée , mais nous ne nous laisseront pas faire par ces arnaqueurs !

Ponros positivos: Funcionários solícitos,proximidade do aeroporto sem necessidade de transfer e rapidez no atendimento. Ponto negativo: O carro que nos foi entregue carecia de manutenção mecânica. Sempre que rodávamos a 90km por hora ou além, o carro tremia muito, principalmente o volante que parecia que se soltaria a qualquer momento. Estávamos sempre inseguros.

Wir waren etwas beunruhigt wegen der vielen negativen Bewertungen. Auf der Rechnung standen zwar 279 (sowie auf dem Gerät), aber die Kreditkarte wurde mit 329 belastet. Wir haben die Versicherung gebucht wo keine Kaution erforderlich ist. Am Schalter haben wir erst erfahren das der oben genannte Betrag für Benzin und Innenraum als Kaution benötigt wird. Deshalb nur 4 Sterne da ich bis zum Schalter nirgendwo darüber informiert wurde. Die Damen am Schalter waren super hilfsbereit! 1A. Das Auto war fast wie neu (Seat Ibiza) Habe es genauso zurückgegeben und es wurde nichts beanstandet. Die Mautrechnung habe ich als HTML Dokument bekommen mit jedem HTML Tag sichtbar wtf? Der Support hat mir erklärt, dass es das richtige Dokument ist, nachdem ich gesagt habe, dass das wohl ein Bug ist. Sieht so aus als hätte er trotz Screenshots nicht verstanden was das Problem ist. Der belastete Betrag auf der Kreditkarte wurde heute wieder freigegeben und somit hat alles geklappt.
Alles reibungslos verlaufen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Experiência péssima. Inicialmente tem um preço atrativo mas o problema vem depois. Aluguei o carro por 1 dia. Quando o devolvi não estava ninguém para o receber e obedeci às instruções dadas e fui para casa descansada. Qual não é o meu espanto quando recebo um email enviado de madrugada reclamando que eu teria provocado danos no tejadilho do veiculo. Ora isso é falso uma vez que fui buscar o carro ao final da manhã, devolvi-o antes das 24h e era impossível ter tido danos no tejadilho. Reclamei, claro mas não obtive resposta. Cobraram-me uma exorbitância por um dano que não causei. Não recomendo.

ACHTUNG! ABZOCKER!! FINGE WEG! ACHTUNG!! Ich weiss nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Wagen erhalten mit MKL an, kein ED Blue im Tank, Reifen abgefahren, kein Diesen gebucht aber Diesel Gebühr abgebucht. Nach dem ich mich vor Ort beschwert habe sagten die zu mir: Wir haben nur diesen Wagen, nehmen sie den oder gehen Sie zu fuß weiter. Klar, mit Baby am Arm, was hätte ich tun sollen. Der Spaß war aber noch nicht vorbei. Bei der Rückgabe fragte ich ob alles ok sei. Er sagte ja, ich bestätige alles mit einer Unterschrift. Alle Dokumente wurden aufbewahrt. Jetzt der Knaller: 4 Wochen später eine Abbuchung in Höhe von 522 Euro. Ich rief #Autoeurope. Sie wollten alle Unterlagen haben. Ich 2 tagen bekam ich eine E-Mail von Autoeurope, dass der Scheibenwischer defekt sein. Und das nach 4 Wochen! Autoeurope schickte mir einen Formular, dass ich ausfüllen sollte um den Schaden zu melden um die 522 Euro wieder zu erhalten! Aber WARUM soll ich ein Schaden melden wo ich kein Schaden verursacht habe? Warum soll ich lügen um das Geld wieder zu bekommen das unrechtes mir abgebucht wurde?!? GOLDCAR vermieten günstig Autos um vor Ort die Kunden anzuziehen!! Ich buche seit 20 Jahren Autos und noch NIE ist mir sowas untergekommen! und ACHTUNG, ich hatte bei #INTERRENT gebucht aber interrent ist #GOLDCAR!! Obwohl ich ALLE Unterlagen habe das ALLES ordnungsgemäß war, hab ich jetzt dieses Problem!! KLASSE!! Zahlt lieber 100-200 Euro mehr und ihr habt kein Stress!!

Meto uma estrela porque não é possível não meter nenhuma Alugo carros com frequência e por indisponibilidade na rent-a-car habitual, aluguei na Goldcar Logo no início, a caução é de 1500 (!) por um simples fiat panda enquanto na concorrência é habitualmente 500 pour um veículo de 2 classes superiores Entregam-me um carro abaixo da classe que reservei mas com a pressa la acabei aceitar,mas o preço ficou no mesmo! O carro completamente riscado em toda a volta, o interior do para brisas num estado nogento que tive de para numa área de serviço para o limpar, que não via nada Enfim, para mim nunca mais!
GoldCar charged me 950 euros for scratches that were already on the car when I collected it. good thing I asked for a copy of the check-out paperwork, make sure you get one because this is just messed up. very disappointing. Update - so GoldCar dispute team have offered to reduce 400 euros from the 950 euros initially charged and the reason being is that they need this to cover the damages I apparently caused. The only problem here is that I have a copy off the check-out paper provided on the day I hired the car showing those exact damages, proving they were already there. I have passed this along now to show that I know they are lying and I am hoping they will see some sense and cancel this ridiculous charge. Last update: Bank gave me my money back and Goldcar did not even fight it after my photo and check-out proof. make sure you always take one, big scammers. protect yourself with a video if you have to and make sure you have the check-out report. stay safe

Unacceptable service! If I could, I would give 0 stars. The car was handed over with the tires shown in the attached photos, which only came to light during a flat tire incident. Luckily, it happened at city speeds and not on the highway, so we escaped without injury. However, without the outrageously expensive PREMIUM Roadside Assistance service, they refuse to cover the cost of replacing the tires, even though they provided a vehicle in a life-threatening condition. A COMPANY TO STRICTLY AVOID!!!

Comme beaucoup je regrette de ne pas pouvoir mettre 0 étoile à GOLDCAR Lisbonne. Ce loueur est un escroc. La seule chose qui lanime est de profiter de la moindre occasion pour facturer en surplus ses clients en situation de faiblesse. Nous sommes arrivés en retard pour récupérer notre véhicule réservé via Booking. GOLDCAR nous informe quil nest plus disponible et que nous navons pas dautre choix que de prendre un autre véhicule avec nouvelle facturation à la clef. Notre erreur a été de ne pas nous assurer que le loueur établissait un nouveau contrat pour ce véhicule. Nous navons donc pas pu faire valoir la situation auprès de Booking. Par ailleurs, nous avons été arnaqué sur létat des lieux à la prise du véhicule. GOLDCAR nous a assuré que les micro rayures (<3cm) nétaient pas prises en compte, elles nont donc pas été notées. Or, à notre retour, 3 micro rayures sur le pare choc nous ont coûté 132 ! A fuir absolument. Nous louons des voitures régulièrement et jamais une chose pareil ne nous était arrivée. Nouveau rebondissement : 5 jours après la restitution de la voiture et sans aucun échange contradictoire, Goldcar nous écrit pour nous dire quun nouveau dommage à été constaté et quil nous en coûtera 92 !!! Des voyous, condamnés il faut le rappeler par lautorité delà la concurrence italienne pour pratiquer commerciales déloyales et manque de transparence dans le contrat sur les frais de remise en état du véhicule. Jai porté plainte auprès du centre européen des consommateurs.

Los precios muy buenos para las fechas que era final de año, el coche muy bien, la atención de las personas muy buena. Además la oficina está en el mismo aeropuerto y los coches están todos allí. Vorsicht bitte. Es waren viel mehr Schäden am Fahrzeug als angeführt. Ich wollte das besprechen der Angestellte war dazu nicht bereit. Er empfahl ein Video zu machen. Bei der Rückgabe behauptete derselbe Angestellte (sic) bei der Rückgabe einen kaum sichtbaren Schaden an der vorderen linken Felge. Ich zeigte das Video vor das die von mir aufgezeigten Schäden dokumentierten. Diese interessieren ihn nicht. Und leider war die linke Felge nicht so scharf aufgenommen. Das Auto sauberer gewaschen und gereinigt zurückgebracht als übernommen. Selbstverständlich vollgetankt. Ich empfehle beim Video sich viel Zeit zu nehmen und mit höchstmöglicher Auflösung vorzugehen.
Fiz uma reserva de locação de veículo pela empresa GoldCar na Booking.com enfrentei diversos problemas, entre eles o aumento do caução exigido de 1200 para 2300 e a obrigatoriedade de contratar a Via Verde, mesmo afirmando que não utilizaria. Ao recusar esses dois pontos a companhia cancelou meu contrato e até agora não consegui o reembolso do valor pago.

You can see my past reviews that I always commented positive about car rentals. I gave the car full gasoline. Even pressed and put more than it could be. They charge me 12 Euros missing gasoline + 50 Euros service fee. Additionally, they charge 171 Euros saying that the car is scratched. Something that i wasnt even able to see when i picked up and delivered.

The ultimate rip-off-ey car rental agency with everything going wrong (the car you rented isnt here, youre too early so theres an extra fee, we dont accept amex etc) speaking really fast to confuse you, and ending up costing 10 times the advertised price, slow inefficient communication and disappointing overall experience. Went from paying 27 online to rent the car to overall more than 300 for a weekend rental. Disgusted.
Es war schlichtweg alles perfekt. Nach der Reservation erfolgte die Digitalisierung der Dokumente und das war s danach alles automatisch. Kein anstehen am Flughafen. Kein warten auf Schlüssel Übergabe. Genau so muss ein Urlaub anfangen danke

Até hoje nada a dizer e os colaboradores são excelentes, mesmo tendo excesso de trabalho são super simpáticos, eficazes, ouvintes e pacientes. Voltarei a usar os serviços só espero que façam atenção um pouco ao estado do carro, principalmente pneus cheios e que o rádio funcione.

Realmente muito prático. Todo o esquema está desenhado dentro do aeroporto de Lisboa para que seja simples. As companhias que tem desks são um pouco mais caras nas compensa a qualidade da experiência e o tempo poupado.
Eu aluguei o carro depois tiraron dinheiro do meu cartao à mais que o combinado nunca mais vou alugar o carro na goldcar .

Je vous conseille de fuir GOLDCAR Véhicule sale et en mauvaise état. Leur seul objectif est de vous facturer des remise en état qui était déjà sur le véhicule, malgré une vidéo précise faite lors de la prise du véhicule, il cherche la moindre petite possibilité de facturer car non visible sur la vidéo. Je ne lourai plus jamais de ma vie chez GOLDCAR et je vous déconseille absolument ce loueur. GOLDCAR = VOLEUR
Ich kann mich den negativen Bewertungen anschließen und fühle mich auch betrogen. Ähnliche Masche wie bei den anderen Kunden. Erst wird angeblich keine Kreditkarte akzeptiert, dann wird man so lange unter Druck gesetzt, bis man die Versicherungen kauft (sonst wird einem die Buchung storniert etc.) und dann funktioniert die Karte für die Zahlung der Versicherungen plötzlich doch. Die Managerin vor Ort war natürlich nicht zu sprechen. Auch vom Support gibt es keine Rückmeldung.
Lors de la prise en charge du véhicule, on ma obligé à souscrire le dispositif Via Verde (e-toll) contre ma volonté, alléguant que cétait obligatoire pour prendre le véhicule, ce qui ma coûté 21,52 . Je navais pas besoin de ce dispositif que, dailleurs, je nai pas utilisé du tout. Après ce post et réclamation auprès du service clients, Goldcar à remboursé les 21,52 euros ce qui ma amené à ajouter une étoile. Dommage, néanmoins que je sois obligé de passer par là.
A part le fait qu ils essaient de vendre des services supplémentaires le reste est correct pas trop de soucis vérifiez bien l état du véhicule avant de partir.
Une à 2 fois par annnée je loue chez Goldcar. Je nai jamais eu de soucis de caution avec eux. Il y a une semaine jai pris une catégorie R pour 103 les 5 jours avec le pack key n Go. A la remise des clés jai du payer 280 de caution . 3 jours après la restitution de la voiture largent ma été crédité avec 28 de déduction pour les péages. Rien à redire , faites attention à la formule de location que vous prenez.

To pokazuje ca kowity brak profesjonalizmu i dba o ci o klientów. Zdecydowanie odradzam korzystanie z us ug tej wypo yczalni.
Very slow service, I booked and payed in advance, but was kicked from the gold car counter 9-12 in the garage which was totally empty and had to wait for an hour on the 1-8 counters. No help on the helpline. The greenway toll deposit was not mentioned in the contract plus an additional fee of cca 20 euro. I have to add thst the return and all payment and refunds worked just fine, thumbs up for this part.

Dont waste time here, they force the insurance by saying that we have no choice because they do not accept French cards for the security deposit. Result 200 euros extorted by goldcar under a more than dubious pretext.
The pickup and drop off was easy and fast. They tried to sell insurances but you can just refuse them. What really bothered me: I reserved a Ford Fiesta or similar . And I received a Mistubishi SpaceStar which is definitely not comparable to the reserved category. This could be a substitute for a Fiat Panda but not a Ford Fiesta. I asked the agent but he told me it would be the last car in the category. When I arrived at the car park I saw a Fiesta, an Opel Corsa, Renault Clio and other cars. So it feels like they simply lied to me. The car was super basic. No CarPlay and parts of the interior were missing. Overall not a great experience

Weve always rented at goldcar but this was the last time, everything concerning the car went perfectly good as always but the fees that were blocked from our account we never saw that money back again, after calling them a few times Ive just given up but Im thinking about sewing them.
EVITAR A TODO O CUSTO! AVOID AT ALL COST! Estendi a cobertura, para não ter que deixar caução. Exagerando, podia pegar fogo ao carro que não cobrariam nada. Apesar disto, cobraram-me uma caução para Via Verde e Gasolina no total de 269 que é o normal, em qualquer local do mundo. Devolvi o carro como o levantei (apesar de com a extensão de cobertura poder não o fazer), e o depósito cheio. Gastei 29 em Via Verde durante 2 semanas de aluguer. Recusam-se a devolver a caução, dizendo que não têm informação. É preciso enviar extractos para provar o que deveria ser automático. A juntar a isto, o helpdesk calha sempre ao mesmo funcionário, que é bastante mal educado e que, sobranceiramente, tenta insinuar que o cliente é ignorante e que não sabe ver um extracto. Evitem este pseudo rent a car. Mais vale pagar mais do que isto que tornar-se-á garantidamente mais caro.

Arnaqueurs!!!! Malheureusement je ne peux pas mettre 5 étoiles négatives sinon je laurais fait !!! Nous avons du changer dagence de location (Guérin, très bien) car celle-ci ne prend plus les cartes de débit. On sest rabattu sur Goldcar qui eux les acceptent.....oui, ....certes..... Moyennant la modique somme de 290 de frais de transaction !!!!!! Impossible de négocier, cest écrit dans le contrat : *accepte cartes de débit mais successible dengendrer des frais de transaction ..... Ah, oui en effet !!! Plus de frais que le prix de la location+ assurance !!!!! Je ne commenterai même pas la voiture...un vieux Tacot...mais bon, il a fait laffaire lui.... Vraiment croyez moi, fuyez !!! Dautres personnes comme nous montraient leur mécontentement au guichet.
Very bad experience in lisbon goldcar. Im a regular customer but this time they gave me an alternative car as the one should be for me had malfunction lights( the receptionist told me), but this car they gave had issues also. Petrol meter didnt show tank full but we couldnt fill more petrol in the tank. During driving showed engine malfunction. Wondering if they already knew. I reported all this in the end and the employee said he would charge me anyway. Also paid KnGO to be quick, had to wait around 40min or more to have the car handle to me lisbon service needs to improve.
I recommend the Key and Go option, it is efficient and hassle-free. If you are looking for a good price, Goldcar may be an option, with a store and availability of vehicles inside the airport. However, if you are looking for comfort and clean cars, I recommend other competing options with a more premium service, but with higher prices.
Ive been renting a car from this agency for some time now, and there have been ups and downs in terms of both the service and the car that was delivered to me. But this time (27.05.24), I had great service from Mr. Vasco, who was super friendly, the car that was provided to me was also great (category R), fast delivery...

Nao me deram o carro porque cheguei 20 minutos antes. Estiva a espera do carro 30 minutos e nunca chegou, depois me deram outro carro, esperei mais 15 minutos, tem que parar de mentir os clientes dizendo que o carro esta a ser lavado e temos que esperar 45 minutos para outro carro

Viaggio spesso così come spesso noleggio auto negli aeroporti e non. Anni fa avevo avuto, sempre presso laeroporto di Lisbona, una pessima esperienza con Gold Car, da lì in poi ho utilizzato sempre altre compagnie. Recentemente per alcuni cambi di programma ho dovuto rivolgermi nuovamente a Gold Car e a distanza di anni mi trovo a dover affrontare gli stessi problemi. Mi vengono prima imputati danni, poi facilmente smentiti, in seguito comunque la caparra di 250 versata ormai quasi 2 mesi fa risulta non ancora riaccreditata sul mio conto. Gold Car sostiene sia colpa della mia banca ma dopo averli messi in contatto reciprocamente è chiaro latteggiamento ostruttivo di Gold Car. Sconsiglio in ogni modo.

À éviter ! Nous avons payé une assurance de près de 400 alors que la personne du guichet nous a confirmé plusieurs fois que cétait une caution qui nous sera restitué. Je précise que notre anglais est bon et que nous avions posé plusieurs fois la question avant de signer larnaque. Ce nest pas première fois que nous louons une voiture à létranger mais première très mauvaise expérience. Résultat je rentre de vacances en découvert de 400e et me prends en plus des frais bancaires. Des voleurs.
DO NOT USE GOLDCAR - THEY ARE SCAMMERS! By far the worst experience I have ever had with any company. I cant believe they are still getting away with all their various scams. Read some of these reviews - they will try to scam you on either insurance, fuel or damages. It would appear to be their business plan. All their staff are extremely unpleasant and obviously on commission for every Euro they scam from you, a very sad reflection on modern morals. We used the Lisbon branch and on our return the attendant went straight to a barely visible scratch. They tried to charge us 150 for this scratch that was already there when we collected the car, even though it was smaller than the 2 cm courtesy damage allowance in their documentation. I provided photographic evidence and they said if I emailed the photo to them, then no charge would be taken. I did so, but a couple of days later they helped themselves to 150 from my credit card. I sent many emails over a couple of months, arguing with them and they would come back with a different excuse every time, before they stopped answering. Heres a tip - I then went back to the online broker that we used, Stressfreecarrental (sic), who were fantastic. They managed to force Goldcar into refunding us fairly quickly. A thoroughly unpleasant experience all round. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Vor Ort konnten meine Partnerin leider keine Kreditkarte hinterlegen, achtet darauf, dass der:die Fahrer:in auch eine Kreditkarte dabei hat, sonst kann es wirklich teuer werden, das war sehr ärgerlich, sonst hat soweit alles gepasst.

Instructions for picking up the car were clear. Car was clean, but had a lots of damages all around. No info about previous damages was provided when picking up a car. When I returned the car, nobody was there and after an hour I got sneaky email from company telling me that their insurance company has informed them that car was involved in accident during my contract which is not true. Furthermore in that email company requested me to sign a blank european accident report without providing info on where accident happened, when, or who was involved. I see this as a dark pattern to collect money from Insurance for damages which happened before.
Everything was perfect. Starting from the pick up right up to the return. The car was great. Very clean and in good shape. I was very happy with it. I will definitely choose Goldcar again!

Accueil rapide, plusieurs guichets disponibles pour gérer les clients. Voiture propre, tout était tres bien du debut a la fin.
Évite absolument cette compagnie de location de voitures. Ils demandent une carte de crédit et tobligent à souscrire une assurance responsabilité civile alors quon la déjà payée. On a rendu la voiture et ils ont essayé de nous facturer une rayure qui était déjà là, heureusement que javais pris une photo avant... quelle honte ! La caution de 1500 euros est remboursée presque un mois après la restitution du véhicule. Pour eux notre carte bancaire nest pas une carte de crédit mais seulement une carte de débit alors que notre banque nous a certifié le contraire.
a) Kombi gebucht (Familie inkl. Surfbrett), bezahlt, Golfklasse bekommen, reklamiert, Kombi erhalten. b) Zurückgebracht ohne Zwischenfälle, beim abgeben wurde klar, der Typ sucht das Haar in der Suppe. An der Felge Kratzer gefunden, die nicht von mir stammten aber natürlich nicht auf dem Protokoll waren. Reklamiert, ihm egal, ich soll das unterzeichnen, tat ich nicht. c) Zwei Tage später, Goldcar belastet eine Fee für kleine Schäden, ohne Recht und ohne meine Unterschrift. Reklamiert, zwecklos Abzocke, unprofessionell, nie wieder Goldcar

Horrible supplier. When you book from another agency, say you book for 50 Euros, they charge you another for 50 as airport pickup or smart key return. They find a way to charge an extra 50 euros lets say. Dishonest.

High credit card holding fees, nearly 2000 for a weeks rental. Fine for me but maybe not for others. Everything was easy. The hold was gone from my cc by the time I got home from flight. ALWAYS RENT CARS FROM LISBON TERMINAL. Dont bother with the shuttle companies.. pay the little bit extra. The rental desks are so close to the exit of the airport and the cars are only a little way from there.

Não quis arriscar, pois o atendente me assustou bastante quanto a ficar somente com os seguros já contratados da Stress Free. Me senti vítima de um golpe. Sem mais..

Disbrigo delle pratiche in aeroporto razionale e relativamente veloce; veicolo non nuovo ma pulito e meccanicamente a posto. Resa dellauto senza intoppi, sezione Goldcar ben segnalata. Contatti via mail immediati e ben comprensibili. Un buon fornitore di prestazioni.

Dei uma oportunidade à Goldcar para um aluguer de 10 dias (10.2024) por parecer, em primeira instancia, uma opcao mais barata que as outras empresas de aluguer. Em 3 anos a alugar mais de 20 carros em diferentes paises na Europa (incluindo Portugal), nunca tive um servico de tao má qualidade! Desde ter de pagar taxas escondidas ao balcão que não estavam descritas quando fiz a reserva e o pagamento online, a ter de deixar também uma caução à cabeça com um valor de quase 20x o valor do aluguer, passando por me darem um carro com mais de 100 mil kms e cheio de danos superficiais e acabando, passadas 3 semanas da devolucao do carro, com um processo de um risco novo que supostamente fiz durante o meu aluguer, num oceano de inúmeros riscos que o carro já tinha, onde o apoio ao cliente nao me conseguiu explicar concretamente qual era o meu novo risco. Extrema falta de transparencia, sendo o valor cobrado pelo dano novo de 133EUR. O dano que suspeito que tenha sido novo encontra-se marcado com O na fotografia em anexo, um risco superficial na pintura de cerca de 3cm. A fotografia foi feita pelo funcionario da Goldcar na estacao e os desenhos em cima por mim. Ficam melhor servidos com a Europcar ou Sixt, já as usei no aeroporto e nao houve surpresas desagradáveis.

Client fidèle depuis de nombreuses années.Jai toujours opté pour des locations avec le maximum doptions et dassurances. Impossibilité dutiliser mon bon de fidélité : Malgré mes nombreux points de fidélité et un bon de réduction de 20% disponible dans mon compte, le personnel du guichet de Lisbonne na pas été en mesure de lappliquer. La voiture qui ma été fournie ne correspondait pas à celle que javais réservée. De plus, jai constaté apres avoir roulée quelques Km sur lautoroute que deux pneus étaient sous-gonflés(la sécurité pas au rendez-vous)et que la voiture navait pas été nettoyée correctement. Jai ensuite adressé une réclamation par courrier, qui est restée sans réponse satisfaisante, ni même dexcuses de votre part. Je suis extrêmement déçu par la qualité du service et le manque de professionnalisme.
Key collect had moeten zijn.. ging niet opeens extra taksen. Op offerte stond 0 aan balie te betalen!! Voertuig werd correct binnengebracht. Ik moest een blanco document tekenen, er waren geen problemen. Opeens staat op dat blad dat de bumper weg is? Wel schade aan het voertuig voor mij, en ik volledig verzekerd? Een bumper links opzij en rechts opzij????? Echt bizarre manier van werken.

I rent cars from several companies such as Drivalia, Tirusprime, Ok mobility, etc. This one, Goldcar, is the only one that asked me for a refueling fee when I arrived at the counter. I only lost 4 for the reservation and Im glad I didnt rent it and went to another car rental company. Just read the comments. This is a practice of thieves!

Por uma primeira vez não correu tão mal como pensei a quando da reserva. Tinha algumas dúvidas que o serviço ao cliente (extremamente simpáticos )me indicou de colocar directamente ao balcão de Lisboa. Após alguns emails e telefonemas sem resposta (não sera assim tão complicado de responder )as minhas questões foram respondidas rapidamente no balcão. A viatura não estava propriamente em bom estado mas com os defeitos todos assinados ao levantamento. Retorno da caução 1 hora depois da viatura entregue . Parabéns .
The service to the client is bad. Some agents give you wrong information and are unable to explain you correctly. We needed to go after to the Goldcar office in Porto, and they clarified many thing that the Lisbon office didnt explain. Some of the things were even contradictory.
Terrible service and absolute fraud company! Rented a car, refused from their additional insurance as had already one of my own to cover all. After that they changed my car and that s when the problems begun. Car had broken tyre, left me on roadside, got lots of additional expenses (which I got back from my insurance company) and no service from them. I was left without a new car as there were no cars available. I was 30km away from my accommodation at night, didn t get a taxi and was flying home the next day. I also didn t get a ride to the airport from them as their customer service was closed due to public holiday. Now almost 6 months later they have again charged my credit card and again without even informing for what for. Now I need to open my insurance claim all over again and contact credit card company that Goldcar can t charge my credit card anymore. If I would give one advice to everyone, it would be stay away, stay away, PLEASE STAY AWAY!
