Bikes & Company em Lisbon

We had a great experience with Bikes&Company. It was easy to book online, bikes were great and reasonably priced and we received helmets and locks as well. Jeff, Pedro and Bea were all extremely helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this place for a fabulous way to explore Lisbon.

Nous avons été bien renseigné sur lhistoire de la ville et son évolution jusquà nos jours avec quelques anecdotes intéressantes et de bon conseils sur ce quil y a à faire lors de notre séjour. Corentin est très à lécoute et parle français. A recommander sans hésitation!!!

Its a great feeling to whiz along on an electric bike on Lisbons narrow, steep slopes. So much faster than walking or taking the tram and bus! Our guide Daniele was very knowledgeable and knowledgeable, answered all our questions with interest and took good care of us!

Took the hills tour with Peter and Selma as my guides. Electric bikes are always fun but this was really a 2 1/2 hour ride with a detailed history pf portugal. The streets can be a little intimidating but Peter Makes sure you know what you are doing

Fatbike Tour Up Hill in Lissabon! Wat een belevenis was dat! Met het grootste gemak reden we door de straatjes, omhoog en omlaag. Onze gids Ricardo vertelde de mooiste verhalen over de beschermheiigen San Antonio, San Vizente, over ontdekkingsreizigers, de Ridderorde van de Tempeliers, kerken waar een vloek op rust, de verwoestende aardbeving en tsunami van 1755, natuurlijk het melancholische verhaal van de Fado en Saudade , de Feniciërs, Romeinen, Carthagers, Moren, de koningen, de dictator Salazar, de revolutie van 1974, Eusebio en natuurlijk de bijzondere band tussen Portugal en Nederland .

Heel vriendelijk personeel. Ze geven je tips over de plaatsen die je kan bezoeken. Mocht je de fiets iets later dan het afgesproken uur terugbrengen, dan is dat geen enkel probleem.

Joao was tremendous, so knowledgable, friendly and caring. Honestly couldnt fault him.

Great place to rent a bike. We had booked 2 e-bikes online and when we arrived we were greeted by Ricardo with great enthousiasm. The bikes were standing ready to go and we got a great list of places that we could visit on the bikes. We got hair-nets, helmets, a lock and every bike had a basket. After adjusting sadles and a good explanation from Ricardo how the e-bike works we took of. The bikes themselves were great. We rode about 50 kilometers and the battery only left one stripe. 5 estrelas por Ricardo and his team

Oriana and the other trainees ( Cool, Maurice and Antonio ) are great; kudos to them and the company! The history of the places were well narrated and Oriana made it engaging and more interesting. They made me comfortable especially with bike safety as it is my first time to ride an electric bike. Im not surprised that this company got an award. Definitely I would recommend this to my family. The uphill way to the scenic attractions through the cobbled streets are simply awesome and you will certainly long for more. Obrigado!

First, ebiking is fun and in a city with winding and narrow streets, cobble stones, tram tracks and pedestrians, it was actually very safe! Our guide Peter was charming, smart and engaging. I learned some mind blowing facts about Portugal that made me want to delve deeper into the history as soon as I get home. Very well done tour!

We booked a 2,5 hour tour guide through the streets of Lisbon on electric bikes. Unfortunately the Dutch tour guide fell ill but in return we were offered the English tour and even got a 10 refund because the English tour was a bit cheaper. Our English guide, Peter, was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable and funny. There was lots of time for stops and questions. Afterwards he also shared a lists of restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. All in all, 10/10 experience to start out Lisbon trip.

Went on the bike tour my first day in Lisbon. Julie was my tour guide and no one else had signed up so it was just us. She was great, wonderful personality and very knowledgeable about Lisbon and Portuguese history. I really got a great sense of the city very quickly and had a wonderful time on the tour, would definitely recommend!

Easy ride with some nice history

Amazing and informative bike ride to Belém with João. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. We loved it.

Overal the tour was really good! The guide knew a lot about the city and was able to answer your questions. The pace of the tour was good, not to fast or to slow. The only downsite for me where the bikes, they look cool but are not the most practical bikes to ride on.

Absolutely brilliant Tour. Julia the friendly tour guide from the Loire valley in France (now living in Lisbon), took us on off the beaten track roads in the Alfama, to wonderful eateries where locals eat. Boost is a well oiled tour machine with good and friendly vibes. Highly recommended.

We loved our tour with Tony from Boost bikes. We did a three hour electric bike tour along the waterfront in Lisbon to the Belem tower. Tony was a wonderful guide, took great care of our group and provided useful information in a very friendly way. It was a perfect way to spend a morning In Lisbon.

David, supported by Lara, guided us through the streets of Lisboa, and helped us better understand the city by sharing his extensive knowledge of it. The entire bike ride was a combination of fun, great vista s, interesting stories and beautiful buildings. As a history nerd I really enjoyed it. Tyvm David and Lara!

We loved our eBike tour up the hills of Alfama. William, our guide, was great and provided just enough information on each stop. The eBikes were brand new fat bikes and were easy to ride and felt safe. Definitely a nice way to see the city and cover a lot of ground in a short period of time.

We had a super fun tour with our guide Eduardo. A very friendly, pleasant guide with a lot of historical knowledge, good-humored and always attentive to our needs. He spoke very good German and, which we thought was cool, he had a map with him that he made himself, with illustrations and additional explanations of the historical monuments and history with the most important historians. In short: Someone who makes a big difference if you want to fully enjoy a fun day out! THANK YOU! The visit is highly recommended! It is a lot of fun to ride very nice electric bicycles, the large tires give a comfortable feeling while riding. The journey along the Tagus River is beautiful and takes you past many beautiful monuments and sights. The delicious Pastéis de Bélem at the end is incredible

Verken Lissabon op een actieve manier: met een fatbike (sneller dan wandelen, bus, tram of tuktuk). En toegankelijker/ intiemer met een kennisvolle gids als João. Wij waren maar met ons 2en, dus maakte hij een omleiding door wijken en steegjes waar je je als toerist anders niet zo wagen. Erg leuk en zeker het geld waard!

It was a real pleasure going along with joão on this tour. I couldn t have wished for a better guide in Lisboa. He really knew his stuff when it comes to the city. Normally I get quite bored on tours like this. João did a great job preventing this. Also the e-bikes were a big plus, because the city can be quite steep some parts of the tour. Overall it was a 5/5 star experience.

What a great city it is, Lisbon! At Boost bikes you get a nice welcome when you arrive. Gui, our guide, was very helpfull and knows a lot of Lisbon! Also the e-bikes are good and you need this for sure in this city on the seven hills! I would highly recommend a culinary e-bike by Boost bikes and then ask for Gui!

Highly recommend! My partner and I had a fantastic tour with Aditya (aka Adi) as our guide. Adi was engaging, knowledgeable and fun The tour gave a great overview of the history of Lisbon while also hitting many of the key landmarks like the Praça do Comércio, the Lisbon Cathedral and the highest viewpoint of the city at Miradouro da Nossa Senhora do Monte. A great way to begin a visit in Lisbon.

We took the 2.5 hr ebike tour of Lisbon which was fantastic. The route was really interesting and not too hilly. But the best part of the tour was our guide Joao as not only was his English brilliant but his knowledge of the history, politics and economy of Portugal was boundless. We hadden Pedro Vivicus als onze tourguid. Tour starte goed. Enkel waren er andere fietsers wat onervaren. Hij hield deze goed in de gaten en hielp hen waar nodig. Met deze fietsers gebeurde helaas ook een ongelukje. Gelukkig wist hij goed te handelen en loste het fijn op. Hierna vervolgde hij rustig de tour en kregen we nog enkele ervaring mee waar we goed kunnen dineren. Ondanks de onverwachte gebeurtenis toch een fijne ervaring.

Geweldige fietstocht door Lissabon onder leiding van Inga. Bijna alle historische monumenten wel gezien en besproken, veel te weten gekomen over de geschiedenis en waardevolle tips gekregen om de stad na de tour zelf te kunnen ontdekken. Een aanrader!

Eduardo führte uns sicher mit dem ebike durch die Gassen und über die Hügel von Lissabon. Sehr informative und ausführliche Erklärungen, super Stimmung, seine Begeisterung ist ansteckend! Wie können Eduardo wärmstens empfehlen! Bis bald wieder!

Excellent tour of Lisbon especially alfama on ebikes. Matilda was truly superb, great local knowledge, interesting with really good sense of humour. The ride on ebikes is pretty easy and the bikes are easy to use.

Wonderful experience, made all the better by our guide, Matilda. She was fun, friendly, humorous , very knowledgeable about the local history and so obviously loves her job. Couldn t recommend this trip enough, especially with Matilda.

My friend and I had an absolutely incredible time on our e-bike tour. I was a bit apprehensive about biking around the hills of Lisbon, but the e bikes made it so easy and fun. Our tour was originally scheduled for 3pm but our flight ended up being delayed and Boost allowed us to reschedule to the next morning for a fee. We ended up on a 10 am tour with Marta Cunha and it was magical! Marta was so lovely and knowledgeable, and patient with us during the couple times we had some trouble getting our bikes started on steep hills. We ended up being so happy we rescheduled since the morning weather was cool and the streets were a little emptier. Thank you Boost and Marta for an amazing experience--one of the highlights of our 2 week trip!!

A great tour if you want to experience the city in a short amount of time (2+ hours). E-bikes are easy to ride and, with the Turbo+ setting, the hills of Lisbon require minimal effort. Oriana, our guide, was very knowledgeable about Lisbon and its history. She was very safety conscious and made sure our group stayed together. Helmets are included with the rental. Oriana gave suggestions on where to eat for lunch. Be sure to bring water. Each bike has a little pack that will hold a small water bottle, cell phone and wallet.

We had the best time on this e-bike tour of Lisbon with Daniele as our tour guide. The amount of knowledge Daniele has about the history of Portugal and just history in general is out of this world and made the tour so unique and amazing. We were lucky enough to be the only two people on the tour and Daniele catered to this so way by adapting the tour to what he thought would be most suited to us and he was spot on. The bikes were easy to ride, the pace was good and the fact Daniele took us to a secret garden bar for a sneaky beer/cider just made it even better on such a hot day. We would definitely recommend this tour and Daniele as a tour guide!!

Very friendly staffs from check-in to tour guide. We had a group of 7 people for private tour with 3 elder above 60 years of age and couldn t speak english so we asked our tour guide to slow down a little for us to help with the translation. João paced the tour out very well, was very patient with us and helped the elders who were having some difficulty going up hill. He also introduced us to certain parts of Lisbon that is worth revisiting. I recommend taking this tour as soon as you arrive to Lisbon to know where to go and explore for the following days ahead. The ebikes provided were well maintained and the hairnet/hair cover provided was a nice touch for those who worry about cleanliness. Feels like much thoughts are put into the service provided. Up the hill met George Als je een aantal weken op vakantie gaat naar een land, gaat de aandacht primair uit naar de reis. De overnachtingen, het vervoer, dineren, bezienswaardigheden, e.d. En veel minder naar de historie van het land, de stad en de bevolking. Onze ervaring is dat dan een fietstocht door een stad juist deze laatste punten onder de aandacht brengt. Zo was ook ons plan in Lissabon en onze reisorganisatie had een fietstocht bij Bikes & Company in het programma en daar hadden we ons voor aangemeld. Op het afgesproken moment op de afgesproken plaats troffen we een grote groep belangstellenden en mensen van de organisatie. Er werden groepen geformeerd, mede afhankelijk van de te gebruiken taal. Wij twee werden toebedeeld aan George en daar kwam niemand anders bij. De voertaal was Nederlands en dat geeft toch een iets vrijere communicatie. En George stond daar ook helemaal open voor. Tijdens de tocht bleek dat George een geweldige (historische) kennis te hebben over Portugal, Lissabon en de bevolking. En daar vertelde hij heel veel over. Veel onderwerpen waren bij ons niet of heel basaal bekend. Dus onze kennis is behoorlijk verrijkt. Omdat we maar met een kleine groep waren, greep George dat aan om ook kerken te bezoeken, waar je anders met een grote groep niet in gaat. Heel interessant. De hoeveelheid informatie die George overbracht was enorm. En om zijn adviezen voor bezoekjes op te volgen zouden we bijna een week in Lissabon moeten blijven. We hadden maar een paar dagen, dus moesten er keuzes gemaakt worden. De tocht ging vanaf het hoog gelegen Parque Eduardo VII naar beneden naar de Taag en vervolgens langs de Taag naar de Toren van Belém. Halverwege was er nog een stop om wat te drinken. Tijdens het fietsen had George niet alleen een geweldig verhaal, maar was ook zeer alert op de verkeersveiligheid. Al met al kijken we terug op zeer informatieve en ontspannen fietstocht onder de bezielende leiding van George. En de groepsgrootte werkte daar zeker aan mee. George, super bedankt. Gerrit en Joke.

Wij hebben met het gezin een tour gedaan onder begeleiding van Willem. Door de fijne elektrische fietsen was het zelfs in de 7-heuvelstad een ontspannende fietstocht en door de parate kennis van Willem ook nog eens erg interessant. Een aanrader voor iedereen die Lissabon beter wil leren kennen zonder in de rij te hoeven staan bij de afzonderlijke attracties.

Belle sortie vélo le long du Tage. Je recommande vivement Éloi avec qui nous avons passé un très bon moment. Ses commentaires ont été enrichissant et il nous a donné des conseils pour la suite de notre séjour.

Très belle découverte de Lisbonne avec Eloi, un guide local qui parle bien Français et connait les lieux, mais également lhistoire de Lisbonne. La ballade en vélo électrique est très confortable, et au vue des collines et de la largeur des rues, dans le vieux Lisbonne, entre les voitures, les tramways, il serait difficile de faire autrement.

Fantastische tour door Lissabon gedaan. Alle bijzondere gebouwen met hun geschiedenis bekeken. Zonder de elektrische fietsen was het niet te doen. De gids Eloi vertelde het verhaal van Lissabon op zijn eigen meeslepende manier. Echt een aanrader !

Wir hatten die eBike Tour auf deutsch durch die Alfama gebucht. Unser Tourguide Mathias war lustig, motiviert und sehr aufmerksam. Wir waren als Famile mit Teenagern unterwegs und die eBike-Tour war der ideale Einstieg in die Stadtbesichtigung. Die eBikes waren in einem guten Zustand und die Organisation am Treffpunkt war gut und freundlich.

Ricardo was our E Bike tour guide. His knowledge of Lisbon s history was amazing. I highly recommend this company and specifically Ricardo.

We did the food e-bike tour. We got lucky and it was just the 2 of us and the best tour guide ever Peter Mendes! He asked us about what brought us to Lisboa and our answer included the deep history of Portugal. He tailored our tour of to include not only amazing food but also the history we were interested in. Tons of laughter and informative beyond words. As a history buff, I was completely floored with his knowledge of not only Portuguese history but world history. He taught me things about US history that was new to me! Although it was just our first day here I could go home happy today! 100% +++ recommended any tour by Peter!!! Request any tour he is the guide for. Oh, he also really helped keep us safe on the crazy streets.

We didnt know what to expect from this tour and it turned out to be the best experience Ive ever had. Our guide, Pete, was the most informative, historically knowledgeable, and fun guide Ive ever had the pleasure of going on a tour with. We were looking for something with food and history and he delivered. He customized the tour just for us. I highly recommend requesting Pete Mendes as your guide! It was a fantastic, beautiful, informative tour!

Best way to see the city! The guides are friendly and informative and the bikes are quality. It s nice to be able to see a lot of Lisbon at the beginning of a trip without having to be in a car that requires parking. The bikes climb the hills like a beasts it s nice to flag a few places to explore more if you have a few days after the tour. I highly recommend this company and their staff

We thoroughly enjoyed our bike tour with George through Belem! His knowledge and tips were great for the rest of our trip. It was incredible to see all that Lisbon had to offer. Highly recommend at the beginning of your trip so you can come back and visit some of the other sites.

Vorige week in Lissabon 2 x een fietstour gedaan, de 7 heuvelen tour en de tour langs de rivier beide keren met een prima gids die ons van alles kon vertellen over de stad zijn ontstaan en de ramp die er heeft plaatsgevonden. Heel tevreden zou het iedereen aanraden.

Expérience très sympa pour découvrir la ville. Nous avons eu un excellent guide franco/portuguais, SIMON, et avons eu la chance d avoir une visite privée avec lui!

We did the Belem bike tour, with Dirk. Convenient e-bikes, although this tour can be easily done with a regular bike. Dirk was very friendly, informative and open to questions. The tour gave a very nice impression of Lisbon out of the city center and historical context. Well done Dirk.

Très mauvaise expérience ! - Un vélo qui nest pas chargé dès le départ de la balade. - La batterie qui se vide en 2km alors que lassistance électrique est éteinte. - Un frein arrière qui ne freinait peu au départ et qui était de plus en plus lâche au fur et à mesure de la sortie. - Pas de vitesse sur le compteur - Le peu dutilisation de lassistance électrique le vélo accélérait tout seul alors quil ny avait pas besoin ou même lors de freinage.

We did an E-bike tour in Lisbon, Portugal. I was a little nervous before we got started as realizing that Lisbon is very hilly. Aditya was our guide and did such a great job of calming my fears that I will be able to do it. Of course my husband and I did and loved every minute of the bike tour. He did a wonderful job of taking us around the city and explaining all the history with this very old town. I would highly recommend Aditya as your guide if you decide to do an E-bike tour in Lisbon. You will not be disappointed.
