Biclas Monsanto em Lisbon

Took the bus there to rent mountainbikes on Thursday August 1st 2024. Supposed to open at 10, we arrived at 10.10. Left at 11. Still closed. Called. Wasn’t answered. Waste of time. Added after answer from owner: You altered the opening hours after my review. Not opening could be caused by illness or other unforseen circumstances. You could have just appologized. But this is just dishonest. Before going to your place we checked the opening hours here on Google. It clearly said it would open at 10 on Thursdays. We checked the web page: https://www.biclas.com/pag/LOJA-BICLAS-MONSANTO-5.html That gave us the same information. Open Wed - Sun from 10 am I've just now checked your webpage again and it still have the same information. After 10, when no one was opening the shop, we checked both webpage and Google again. Both said it should be open. There was a sticker on the container at the shop. It had the same opening hours as stated on Google and on your own webpage.

I booked three bikes for 30 minutes at the cost of eur 15 for myself, wife and 7 year old son. Both adult bikes were okay but the brakes on the child's bike were worn out and in bad shape. My son tried his bike and quickly got scared so we returned to the shop. As there was no other suitable bike at the shop, we returned all bikes but we were still charged. Awful experience. We were outside the shop the whole time and had the bike for maximum 3 minutes. The shop claimed it was the 'rules' which is just petty and unreasonable behaviour particularly it was caused due to safety issue. I paid the amount but the gentleman refused to give me a invoice for payment promised to email it to me instead but he never did. There is no physical Complaints Book as required by law and also it is not listed on the site.

It's amazing to have electric mountain bike right in the park. It's too bad that they are in pretty bad shape. Many issues. I had to walk back to the shop for 45mn. I will come back if the bikes are in better shape
