This place does false advertising. They advertise they rent full suspended bikes but when we arrived to get the bikes they were totally different and we came for nothing. I don t recommend you rely on what they say or advertise

Easy and affordable bike rental. We were off season for biking so don t know how busy they get. Bikes are good quality and maintained well.

Wir haben uns hier spontan ein paar City Bikes geliehen. Sehr netter Ladeninhaber, er hat uns noch ein paar gute Tipps für unsere Tour in Lissabon gegeben. Die Fahrräder waren hochwertig (Marke Giant) und gepflegt mit guter Nabenschaltung und Scheibenbremsen. Wir hatten damit einen sehr schönen und langen Ausflug und waren so begeistert von den Fahrrädern, dass wir überlegen die auch für zu Hause zu kaufen.

Lissabon direkt ist keine Fahrradstadt. Man sollte mit dem Zug etwas außerhalb hinfahren und dort versuchen zu fahren. Der Tip kam aber auch von dem Mitarbeiter.

I just completed a 3 week Bike Iberia rental of a Giant rode bike, which I cycled from Burgos to Santiago de Compostela. I rented a Giant rode bike 5 yrs ago from Bike Iberia. Both experiences were perfect. The bikes are where they should be when they should be there. A good Shimano 105 gear train. Great hydraulic disc brakes. Newish tires. In fact, I got a new bike 5 yrs ago; this time I got a bike that was not new but in perfect working order, which was fine with me. Last time I got very used Ortlieb classic roll up panniers; this time the Ortlieb panniers were brand new. Both times I got a well-uses trunk bag that worked perfectly, esp the Velcro connectors to the crowded rack. All perfect! The odd thing with the first rental was that I got a patch kit that was so weathered as to be useless, and of course I got a flat. This time the patch kit was newer and of course I didnt have a flat, but the chain lube (for 2 bikes, as my wife rented an ebike from Bike Iberia) didnt last a week! I advise you get the bike delivered where you can buy a patch kit or bottle of lube (or, in my wifes case, a Shimano brake lever to replace the one bent during shipping to our Burgos hotel!). Bike Iberia bike rentals arent cheap, but their road bikes are reliable, a fact I appreciated while hurtling down 2500 ft from Reinosa to Los Corrales de Buelna. I would rent another road bike from Bike Iberia any time, regardless of price. But one warning: my wifes experience with a Bike Iberia ebike (a Giant Liv) was VERY different. If youre considering an ebike rental from them, you may want to look for her review, if she does one.

Delivered our bikes 1 day late. Very slow customer service response. I have called, emailed and texted their team seeking to remedy this situation but have not heard back yet.

Don t try to find the shop by car - we drove around in circles for an hour in summer city traffic. Don t accept credit cards - in this day and age - only cash payments accepted. Not recommended for serious cyclists

Rented the carbon road bike for a 100km loop to Sintra. Overall good and smooth experience with helpful staff. Not the newest or fanciest bike but good enough. I just wish they opened earlier than 9:30.

I appreciate the concept of bikeiberia and was excited to try their service. Unfortunately, there were no bikes available, which is understandable given the demand. However, I was disappointed that it took five days to receive this information, especially since the website promises a 1-2 day response time. The process was also more cumbersome than expected, requiring me to fill out the same information twice and make three phone calls just to get a clear answer. I would strongly suggest that the business streamline its inquiry process by asking essential questions upfront to determine availability before requesting detailed information. This would save both time and effort for customers.

Excellent bike rental

Initiëel was het de bedoeling naar een andere fietsverhuur te gaan maar daar was er een digitaal probleem met het verhuurprogamma en zo zijn we door hen doorgestuurd naar Bikeiberia. Hier konden we zonder vooraf reserveren twee elektrische fietsen huren. Gezien ik nogal groot ben (197cm), heb ik mij wel moeten aanpassen aan de nog beschikbare fietsen. We huurden vanaf de middag maar toch werden we een volle dag aangerekend. Dat vond ik wel vreemd maar was toch blij dat we konden fietsen. De fietsen hebben geen kettingkast waardoor je -indien je fietst met een bleekkleurige pantalon- moet oppassen voor zwarte olievlekken.

Rental was straightforward and easy. Only the handling of the credit card details was a bit strange. You can only pay in cash, which is unusual these days. Wheels in good condition.

The chain of the electric bike I rented broke after 2 km - when we called the shop and asked for help they didn t apologise and just said we should get a train back! We got the bike fixed on the way to avoid messing up the afternoon for the rest of the family - when we returned the bike we were hoping to get an apology and be reimbursed - we got neither nor! Very disappointed with the customer service

Great experience. Emailed for 2 electric bikes on Friday afternoon to rent for Saturday and got a reply very quick. The bikes were available and ready to pickup on Saturday. They reached out on WhatsApp and had great communication. Bikes were totally fine and had lock and toolkit included. Very decent price and helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the coast of Lisbon and biking around.

Hier kann man glücklicherweise Fahrradanhänger für Kinder mit Kinderhelm ausleihen (12 Euro / Tag). Ein Fahrrad kostet 30 Euro / Tag. Die Fahrräder waren in einem guten Zustand und die Mitarbeitenden sehr freundlich. Einen Stern Abzug, da mir die Zeit für die Übergabe / Vermietung des Fahrrads zu lange gedauert hat. Wir mussten doch recht lange warten.

We have rented bikes for our group. On the spot our reservation was missing, we could not use the agreed (and confirmed) group price. Quality of the bikes was questionable. We felt misled and ripped off.

These people are genuinely nice and helpful. My prior review was harsh. I found another venue that is competitive and have chosen to do business with them instead. We are a big group and some in the group couldnt rationalize the extra charges. Net net - this place has the latest and best eMTB bikes and prices do not include 21% VAT. We dont pay VAT in the USA. BtW... More taxes = smaller economy which is why the USA has a 22T GDP.

Très bonne expérience, nous avons pu loué des vélos à la journée. Il faut payer en Cash. Nous n avons pas pu prendre de vélo électrique car nous n avions pas de carte de « credit ». Nous avons tout de même pu passé une excellente journée et visiter Belem et les environs.

Excellent and friendly service. We took the basic bikes for a short few hours ride to Belem. We got all the accessories we needed inclusive. Helmet, chain, pump. The bikes were maintained ok, we didnt have any issues but slightly shifts cracks.

We rented two gravel bikes at Bike Iberia for a two-weeks bike tour across Portugal. Everything met or even exceeded our expectations. The communications with the company were efficient. The bike delivery at the beginning and the end of the trip was convenient and on time. The bikes were in excellent condition and as advertised. We got all we needed in the small repair kit. The luggage rack and the kickstand were sturdy. Thank you Khai and Zé for your outstanding services!

My bike was so old it keeps shifting gears when I didn t ask it to, made a loud sound every time I breaked and one time the pedal gave out and the seat slammed into me. The only reason I m giving two stars is cause the people working there are very kind.

Rented road bikes to ride to Cascais and back and they were very helpful with all of my pre-rental questions about the route, if I needed to bring my own pedals, and also help with a Garmin mount. Bikes were great and we had an unforgettable ride!

My daughter and I rented in Lisbon and dropped off in Porto. We had brand new pedal assist mountain bikes by giant, and they were fantastic. We were on our own did what we liked when we liked took trains with our bikes. Occasionally, Portugal is gorgeous. We were accommodated every time by every hostel or hotel to secure our bikes for the night, Bike Iberia was very helpful and allowed us to finish our trip in Porto where they picked up the bikes

Bike Iberia was great to deal with and the e-bikes we received were in excellent shape and very simple to use and charge. They gave us great advice as well. We took the train, with the bikes (easy) from Lisbon to Sintra and then biked to Porto where Bike Iberia picked up the bikes. In hindsight I would highly recommend biking from the north to the south because of the north-south wind. Also it would have been better to have a day in Sintra to see the castles, without having to worry about the security of the bikes. So either pick up the bikes in Lisbon and take them on the train to Porto (or wherever north) or have Bike Iberia ship them to you in Porto.

I would recommend this company 100 percent - in fact I have already! I passed their name on to many people in a Camino de Santiago forum, as we thought their bicycles and service were faultless when we cycled the Camino Portugues in June 2023. A great service and the bikes didnt miss a beat in 260km of cycling. They were delivered the day before we beagn cycling and were collected the day after we finished, meaning we had no need to wait around for delivery or pick up. So easy.

Hired two bikes from the Lisbon branch near to Pink Street. Good bikes. We decided to cycle past the Port to Vasco da Gama and then beyond to the new bridge and boardwalks. Fantastically interesting ride of just over 20 miles return. Really friendly and helpful service and Id highly recommend using.

Terrible customer service. You walk into the shop and realize that these people have no idea what they re selling and how to sell it. The most confusing interaction I have ever had. You will have to forcibly pull words out of their mouths just to get basic info about the bikes, service, offerings, what s included, etc.

This review will spell it out for you so when you show up you ll know exactly what to expect. My wife and I still bike for all purposes in the USA; I m 68. You will get a very good non electric city bike by GIANT for 25 Euros each bike for the entire day CASH. No credit cards accepted. Your passport and $20 is held as security deposit. We did about 20 miles total all along the Tagus. The service was excellent; clear and informative. The only reason I m giving them a four and not a five is that I didn t know all this going in.

Despite a minor issue with the courier service in Madrid, a single call to Bike Iberia resolved the matter completely. We recently did the Minho Galicia tour with Bike Iberia. One of us was on an ebike and the other an MTB. Dealing with the company was really easy and setting up the bikes also very easy. The route was fabulous and the hotels also amazing. This route is pretty challenging esp at the beginning so get an ebike unless you are bike fit. Also keep the bike wrapping for reuse as the end of the trip as bubble wrap is hard to find in the smaller towns. Well worth doing and would happily bike with them again.

Bike Iberia rented my wife and I two comfort touring bicycles for our three week, self-sustained bicycle tour of Portugal. The bicycles were very good and the service and staff were excellent and very helpful. When we had to shed some weight in order to use two panniers on each bicycle, Bike Iberia graciously stored a duffel bag for us during the three week bicycle tour. Many, many thanks, Bike Iberia.

Great bikes

My wife and I rented road bikes for the day here and we would definitely recommend them. It was very quick and easy to rent bikes, and they also provided a lock for us to park the bikes if we needed. We biked to Belem and it was a very enjoyable ride. There is a bike path along the water so it is a very easy and nice ride. They take cash, not credit card but that wasnt a problem. Good to know before going though.

Vicino a Cas do Sodre, hanno varie tipologie di biciclette, dai 15 ai 35 euro (quelle elettriche), bici anche per ragazzi. Biciclette comode, chiedono una caparra di 20 euro che viene restituita alla consegna. Ora di riconsegna massima per le 18. Ragazzi molto gentili e disponibili. Ottimo mezzo per visitare la torre di Belem e proseguire lungo la ciclabile che porta alla foce del fiume e alloceano. Bel paesagggio con spiaggette in cui fare soste. Insieme alla bici, lucchetti e kit foratura, a richiesta caschi inclusi nel prezzo.

Needed a decent road bike and reached out to Bike Iberia who hooked me up with a nice Giant Defy/TCR (sub 8kgs). Bike was in good shape - straight wheels, lubed chain and lots of brake pad for descending like Sean Kelly in the local mountains. Staff was cool, talkative and helpful. If I come back to Lisbon Ill revisit Bike Iberia .

Good value basic bicycle hire, friendly staff, basic bike 20 for the day, we cycled along to Belem and locked the bikes up which was fine. the shop closes at 6 p.m. so you have the whole day available. I would definitely recommend this company and we will use again.

Absolutely phenomenal company to deal with, they honoured our payment made in 2020 when all our plans went adrift because of Covid. We are just back from the most incredible Caminho ride from Lisbon to Santiago de Compostela, bikes were brilliant, no issues. Communication was always spot on and Maria has got to be one of the best people I have ever dealt with, and a fellow bike rider, which is always a plus. If I could give 6 stars then I would, Id use them again in a heartbeat.

We used BikeIberia to rent E-Bikes for our Camino de Santiago trek, from Porto on the Portuguese coastal route. Maria was very helpful and answered all of my emails promptly. She helped me modify our booking and made sure we got everything we asked for. Our bikes, while very basic as youd expect from a rental, were exactly as described and took us reliably around 60km every day. The E mountain bikes were delivered to our first hotel at Porto a day before we departed on our journey, and they were picked back up by the shipping company the day after we arrived at our last hotel at Santiago de Compostela. Seamless! Will use again!

Service was very friendly and informed us of the path to travel and sights to see. The road bikes were okay, not much profile left on the tires but we had no issues.

After trying to rent bikes here they insisted on taking only cash, BUT wanted our credit card details and a deposit! They also closed early at 6pm. It seemed dodgey so we left. We were so pleased we left and went to Biclas hire shop 2 mins away, where they were so much friendly, much cheaper, and only wanted asked to hold ID not take our credit card details, Biclas also closed at 7pm so we got an extra hour of cycling in.

Sorry to be the one person who writes a negative review, but I was very disappointed to be told that the guided tours offered on the website are no longer available because of Covid. Its now the end of June 2022 and other businesses seem to be back to what passes for normal. I filled out a reservation form online (luckily, no payment involved) and was a bit put off to read that it could take up to 48 hours for a confirmation. When I showed up in person the next day, I was offered a rental bike for 20 euros, cash only. The price for the guided tour in English was advertised as 27 euros and there were a couple of added perks. My response to the owners of bikeiberia is that the links to guided tours should be removed from the website until they are willing and able to provide this service.

Die Fahrräder sind sehr verschlissen und zum Teil unsicher. Wir haben 2 E-Bikes gemietet und beide Fahrräder hatten Mängel. Das eine Fahrrad hat ständig die Gänge gewechselt, ohne das man etwas gemacht hat und der Griff der Vorderbremse ließ sich bis zur Lenkerstange durchdrücken. Mit keinem der Bikes kam man den Berg hoch, da in niedrigen Gängen einfach die Kette über den Zahngranz gerutscht ist. Zudem haben wir 10 Minuten mit dem Schloss gekämpft bis wie dieses offen hatten. Wir waren schon kurz davor den Verleiher anzurufen, bis sich das Schloss dann doch nach dem 100. Versuch öffnen ließ. Als wir die Bikes zurückgebracht haben und von unserer schlechten Erfahrung und den Mängeln berichtet haben, hat der Mitarbeiter gelacht und gesagt, dass das nicht sein kann. Als ich ihm die Mängel präsentieren wollte, hat ihn das nicht interessiert. Wir fragten, ob es einen Rabatt gäbe, weil es das Geld absolut nicht Wert war, doch wir wurden abgewimmelt. Nachtrag zur Antwort der Inhaberin: Uns zu unterstellen, dass wir lügen, finde ich extrem frech und unverschämt. Wenn die Fahrräder doch makellos waren, wieso konnte ich dann eine so detailierte Aussage über Mängel wiedergeben? Ja, die Winkel der Sattel waren auch komplett falsch eingestellt, dass wurde aber von euch korrigiert und war dann auch okay, das hatte keinen negativen Einfluss auf meine Bewertung. Zu sagen, ich hätte es nötig ein Freebie zu erschleichen empfinde ich zutiefst beleidigend. Ich wollte lediglich ein kleines Entgegenkommen für diese enttäuschende Fahrradtour, bei der wir ständig die schweren Fahrräder den Berg hochschieben mussten. Diese Tortur war einfach keine 90 Wert sorry. Als wir die Berge versucht haben zu überqueren, war das nach einem langen Strandtag und wir hätten die Fahrräder auch früher zurückgebracht, wenn wir nicht auf der anderen Seite vom Fluss gewesen wären und der Laden ein bisschen länger offen hätte.

Beside of the friendly service, this bike rental is not worth it!! The bikes are old! We paid 25 per bike, for a « more confortable » city bike, and the handlebars were super sticky and the gears did not really work. So sad because the location of the shop is perfect.

We rented two of the Camino MTB bikes equipped with racks and bags. Communication was easy and friendly to reserve the bikes. The bikes were waiting for us upon arrival at our first hotel. It only took a few minutes to remove the packing material. The bikes were high quality and well maintained. The route we cycled went from Bilbao to Oviedo along the coast and there were many hills and mountains. The drivetrains shifted smoothly and quietly and the brakes were powerful. After finishing our ride the bikes were collected from our hostel after we left. It was a very positive experience, I will rent from this company again and recommend them to friends. I think the price is fair for the well maintained bikes and excellent service.

I rented a bike to ride the Camino from Porto to Santiago. What an absolute pleasure to work with Bikeiberia - easy to communicate with and they assisted me very quickly with a last minute booking. A good quality bike was delivered to my accommodation in Porto and fetched again in Santiago again. It saved me a lot of trouble to not travel with my own bike. I would certainly recommend their service.

On the whole a good service at a reasonable price. However some teething issues stopped it being great. One of our bikes was not in the condition Id expect when hiring it for cycling relatively long distances over 5 days.

We got 20E bike for 4 hours city ride. The staff was friendly but we found this to be very expensive for the poor quality of the bikes. The bikes had problems with breaks, seats, gears.

I rented an Electric bicycle from them and it has been the worst experience. It broke down the 1st day I was on the Camino. I called them and they began blaming me and claiming that the bike got wet. Mind you I have an electric bike back home and I ride in the rain all the time. I chopped it up to a glich and let the bike charge overnight to try again. It died again. I called again and all they did was argue and blame me for the bike breaking down. I had to push the bike several miles and finally found someone who would give me a lift to the next town. Now Im stuck on the Camino with no bike and none to rent. On 2 seperate conversations they stated this has never happened before and then that Im not the only one who has broken down. I would never use them or recommend them to anyone. I shouldve brought my own bike.

We had a last minute trip planned from Leon to Santiago de Compostela and Bikeiberia was able to find us Giant bikes and a GPS and stellar 5 star hotel accommodations that had HUGE healthy breakfasts. The service for delivery and pickup we exceptional. Communication was thorp complete and timely. The cost was way less than expected with bikes gear hotel breakfast and bag transfers. We loved each and every one of our hotels too! Along the way there were cafes and bathrooms so the GPS accommodated for all needs. Highly recommend this bike company and hopefully can do Lisbon to Santiago next year and will use them again!!!

Bikes from BikeIberia Rental were absolutely irreproachable. There were delivered to our hotel 2 days before our trip, ready and set to go. In the rackpack there was everything which we needed during ride (toolkit, tires, locker and pump). Bikes were really light and very easy and comfortable to ride. We rented two road bikes to go on Eurovelo route between Porto and Lisbon. The tires were perfectly fitted to this ride, as it turn to be more gravel then we expected. Also the prizes are very competitive when we take into consideration the quality of the bikes ( we did extensive research because our budget was rather tide for this trip). It should also be noted that customer service is outstanding. The stuff was really helpful and very fast with their answers.

Após ter preenchido um documento com os meus dados foi-me pedido para efectuar o pagamento em dinheiro e proceder a um pagamento de 20 para efeitos de caução. O problema foi quando me pediram o cartão de cidadão e me disseram que tinham de ficar com o meu CC como garantia. Infelizmente esta é a Lisboa que temos!!!

My wife and I rented two Electric Mountain Bikes to ride the Camino Portuguese. I rate this shop as average and would probably not rent from them again. The two electric bikes we got were in average or below condition. The tires on my wifes bike should have been replaced before they rented them to us as they were very worn. In addition, they gave us each a spare tube but as it turns out one of my tires had Presta valves and the other three tires had Schrader Valves. So I had to stop and buy a tube once I noticed this. The panniers were also very used and worn. Lastly I would suggest taking your own helmet as the helmets that were rented to us were in poor condition. Also my wifes helmet looked more like a kids helmet and did not fit well at all. We reserved the bikes approximately 4 months in advance and when we asked for better helmets we were told those were the only two left. This was a very rainy day so I doubt they were renting out many bikes that day. We met other folks riding the trail that had rented their bikes from other companies and their bikes were much nicer and almost look new compared to our bikes.

Rented a bike for the day, to explore the Lisbon river front and going to Caparica beach, after taking the ferry from Belem to Trafaria (see picture of the empty ferry car level). Once in Trafaria, Caparica beach is only 5km away, and road mostly has a bike lane and fairly flat. Tanya from BikeIberia was very friendly, gave some good advice on the journey like ferry crossing times, where to stop, and even offered some suncream! The bike rented was a Giant bike with 8 internal gears (one level up above standard) and it was fine, in good condition and no issues. Free repair kit was provided. I didnt make a booking, just walked to the shop on the day. Overall, a very good experience with BikeIberia and a great day cycling!

To rent two bikes here was a great experience and very nice! The bikes have been in good shape and the staff was very friendly and welcoming! I would definitely recommend the shop and to do a bike ride in Lisbon! We would do this again!

My husband and I recently rented bikes from Bikeiberia for a 4 day trip on the Eurovelo 1 from Lisbon to Sagres. Everyone at Bikeiberia was very helpful while we planned our trip, when we got the bikes, and when we needed help along the way. The bikes were in great shape and very well maintained. The tool kits we were given were well thought out and contained everything we needed during our trip. The best part was being able to have the bikes picked up at our final destination so we didn t have to lug them back to Lisbon! I would highly recommend renting from Bikeiberia!

very easy and good communication. the bikes are in very good conditions. the service in the shop was okay, they were surprised that we wanted some helmets, (which I think is mandotary in the city on ebikes) and the helmets were old, didnt fit well and we lost a lot of time to get everybody ready. the water bottle, which is written on the website we will get for free we didnt get, instead we all had to pay for a plastic bottle..

Everything was fantastic! From the beginning to the end...the bikes were a 10! Perfect. Comfortable, and the battery size was great!! Never, ever did we run low. It was an experience that will be remembered for ever!!!!

Lisbon is not ideally suited for bike riding although it does seem to get better. There are a number of bike routes but if you happen to be far from one, Googlemaps will not help you, as it does not give suggestons for bicycles. Bike Iberia kindly told me thats why they have a bikemap, but only after I returned the bike! The bike was fine, but I found the rental a little expensive, they could at least include the bikemap with the rental, garanteeing that way that their clients have all the information available to make the best of their rental, instead of charging extra (and actually even forgetting to mention they have a map until after my 2 day rental?).

Spent a very enjoyable day on the bikes, cycled from the shop all along the waterfront out to Belém (approx 8-9 km). There is an excellent off-road cycle track all the way, passing under the magnificent Ponte 25 de Abril where you can stop for a while to admire the structure and enjoy the beautiful views of the bay. Padrão dos Descobrimentos and Belém Tower are also on the way and worth further stops. Belém itself is also a beautiful spot - unfortunately the monastery (Mosteiro Jerónimos) was closed on a Monday, but Pastéis de Belém is definitely worth a visit for lunch or a coffee and pastry. The bike is the best way to see all this area has to offer, the track is level all the way and very safe. My wife got an electric assisted bike as she doesnt cycle as much as I do. Both bikes were clean and well maintained and came with a lock (a bit heavy) and a puncture repair kit which thankfully we didnt need. The guys in the shop were very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend this for a very enjoyable day out.

15 for a 3 gear budget bike or 25 for a better quality bike with 8 gears for one day. We got those at 1pm and they had to be returned at 6pm. Nice and easy ride from Lisbon to Belem and further, entirely along the river along cycle tracks. You should reserve the bikes a day in advance if possible.

Rent a bike with the perfect location. Unfortunately my bike wasnt working well. The mechanic was not very friendly after I complained. But I got a working bike after some discussion. They shouldnt treat customers arrogant. But for rental it works.

very very extremely slow service. very unprofessional. + Just reply to your comment - Ah no, we werent trying to skip the line, there was only 1 customer before us, so we waited for the service by filling in the form. Meantime, there was a new walk-in customer and the staff attended them even when we finished with the form and we waited for a long time and nobody attend us, the staff mention that you were closing in 2-3 hrs and that we have to return the bike by then but we were in there for already 20-30 mins just waiting.. so we walked out - didnt run i cant be more sure of that because one of us was walking with a walking sticking from a hurt foot..... however were sorry for taking a piece of A4 form - I filled in all my information, passport detail, credit card detail so I mistakenly thought it was mine to take. Call us disrecpectful is ok i guess since we only waited quietly, didnt say a word to anyone, didnt even make a noise or a mess while the staff never say please wait, never smile.. i thought since nobody pay attention to us its ok to just leave without saying goodbye. Thanks for the sincere NY wish though :)

Friendly service and great location as a launching point for Belem and the riverside. The GIRA city bike app wasnt working for me and it didnt give me the freedom that the 4 hour hire gave me from Bike Iberia. I had a great time on the Euro10 Giant City Bike but you will need something lighter if you want to tackle hills. Recommend.

All worked fine for me, had bike for whole day only 14 euros. Bike a bit heavy and helmet didnt fit, but great service and easy way to get across to ferry to see further afield.

My daughter and I took a tour along the waterfront to Belem. Our guide was fantastic and the bikes were great. We chose to keep them for the day and stay in Belem a bit after the tour was over. Will definitely be renting bikes from bikeiberia the next time were in Lisbon!

Vélo en état sans être tip top mais sans être pourri non plus. Les pneus sont slicks et sous gonflés. Attention, cest 10 euros la crevaison. Sinon le prix des vélos électriques est un peu abusé. Les prix sont affichés au public pour une heure ou 4h ou à la journée mais on peut quand même louer pour 2 ou 3h en fonction dune tarification cachée.

I rented an electric bike to cycle from Porto to Lisbon. It was a very nice experience. They dropped the bike off in good time and I dropped it back to the Lisbon hub. The staff I met there were pleasant and chatty asking all about how I got on.. I dropped a star because I think you should give a spare key for the bicycle lock . At one stage I thought I had lost my key ( I hadnt; it was in the lock in my panniers) and it brought home to me how much this would have impacted on my trip. Also, while little things are obvious to an experienced cyclist some more detail would help., eg a diagram of the battery charging connections, is there a pump holder or does it just go in the panniers? Is there a charging port for phone etc off the battery. Still thanks for everything and Id use the service again.

We rented bikes to take the route all along the river. The service was good and the bikes were comfortable. They give yo a bike lock and repair kit extra , which is nice. Would reccomend.

I highly recommend this rental company. We reserved our bikes the day before so they were ready for us when we arrived the next day. The friendly staff provided us with sturdy locks and a repair kit. Biking to Belem along the coast was perfect.

The only bad part of our bike ride across Portugal - and I would have saved myself the trouble if I had just noticed how many fewer stars this place gets than others. Have a better trip than me, and use someone else. BikeIberia and their owner, Tania, messed up our bike delivery - and when we were left with no bikes to use, didnt offer to redeliver nor a refund! We changed our plans to drive to their shop five hours away to save our trip plans, but the service continued to be awful and we just didnt learn. Ive noticed they write snarky and rude replies to others who had an experience like we did, so I am not naive enough to think they wont do the same here. My hope is that all those reading will save themselves the frustration and go with a better company, like Go Cycling Portugal or Lisbon Bike Rentals (the reviews dont lie). Everyone else in Portugal was wonderful, this was the only blemish.

We rented two Camino MTBs for a two-week trip across Spain, and also arranged for luggage transfer to our destination hotel. Communication with BikeIberia prior to our trip was friendly and helpful. On arrival at our starting hotel the bikes were waiting for us, one Giant 29 and one Liv 27.5. The bikes performed well on the ride and gave us no problems, though the Liv did need some tweaks to the gear and brake adjustments. On arrival at our destination hotel two weeks later our luggage was ready and waiting for us, and the bikes were left for pick-up. Overall everything went efficiently & exactly as promised - I highly recommend BikeIberia to anyone considering renting a bike for a multi-day trip in Spain & Portugal.

We rented 2 bikes at Bike-Iberia for a long trip from Madrid to Lisbon. This was overall a very positive experience. Staff at Bike-Iberia was very helpfull and friendly, bikes were super, even for the not allways smooth Spanish and Portuguese roads, bikes were delivered as agreed in due time with all expected tools, locks, panniers. We highly recommend Bike Iberia for your trips!

Very nice way to visit lisbon. The ride is also for unexpierenced cyclist easy to do. Explanation of the guide was good and interesting. And with biking you have a wide range to visit monuments. I can advise it a a way to visit the town.

We had a bike tour yesterday with Macedonia (mac) and would highly recommend the experience. We are fairly keen cyclists but were interested in a guided tour just to find out more about the Belem area and Portuguese history, and it was excellent. Mac was well-informed, interesting and extremely helpful (good English too! Any words he didnt know in answer to questions - eg secular tr from Portuguese - he could look up in seconds). He paced the tour to suit, and speeded up at the end to make sure we were back in time to catch our plane. The only thing is - we wished wed taken the tour earlier in the holiday, it was so good and would have given us better background/a good starting point. i would recommend taking it early in your break for that reason

Three of us rented MTB e-bikes from Bikeiberia and rode to Guincho Beach (part of that included a train ride to get to Cascais). The bikes were excellent, the advice from the staff was really helpful and it was simply a great way to spend the day.

Nas partes boas, o passeio é fantástico! As paisagens, os cheiros, etc.... mas esse foi o passeio que mais tive coisas para me preocupar. Primeiramente a qualidade das bicicletas, de todas que ja aluguei para passeios essas foram as mais surradas. Durante a estrada a corrente caiu pelo menos umas 8 vezes, a bike ficava estalando ao pedalar e a bike em si tinha uma aparência de quem ja tinha sofrido bastante. Ja aluguei bicicletas na Suiça, no Canadá, na Holanda, e essa nao parecia uma bicicleta de um serviço sério... Além disso o trajeto tem 2 trechos que achei bastante arriscados (principalmente de vc pretende fazer o caminho só como eu fiz) a saída em Sintra, muitas ruas MUITO inclinadas, tanto para subir quanto para descer, mesmo estando com uma bicicleta eletrica tive que descer da bike e andar com ela pq a chance de cair com a bike era muito grande. Especialmente no dia em que aluguei a bike estava chuviscando, eu nunca andaria por aquelas ruas se o gps nao estivesse indicando elas. Mais para frente, já mais perto da chegada, temos uma via litorânea, de trafego relativamente intenso com fortes rajadas de vento, mais uma vez me senti em perigo de que uma rajada de vento me derrubasse ou jogasse em cima de algum carro. Não aconselho essa viagem iniciantes.

We pre-booked an e-bike tour to Sintra. While the booking includes everything you should need, the screen on our GPS unit froze, forcing us to use roaming data to use Google maps to get back. In addition, the chain on my partners bike repeatedly came off. Due to this equipment failure, we could not complete the journey we had planned and had to walk the heavy bikes back. When we brought this issue up with the staff person upon our return, I was disappointed by his reaction. He saw the GPS units frozen screen and advised it was a new GPS unit. He also apologised but considering we had to incur our own expense by using Google maps on roaming data, I feel like a partial refund should have been offered.

For the fifth time my wife and I rented fully geared Giant MTBs from Bikeiberia for the Spanish Caminos. This year we did the Camino Francese with starting point Roncessvalles. The bike pickup and drop off work really well. So does the luggage transportation from pickup to drop off. The MTBs are top notch, no technical issues whatsoever. We just finished a 5 day tour on their excellent Giant bike touring set up. Everything from start to finish was great. Good communication from the beginning, easy pick up, quality bikes and panniers, and easy drop off. Would highly recommend this company.

Cant fault these guys. Great service to hire bikes/e-bikes to explore the outskirts of Lisbon. Their prices are fair, have great routes too. Definitely worth checking out if you need some wheels!

Lovely experience. My family and I rented adult and kids bikes (and also a trailer to pull a non-biking little one). The bikes were in good condition, the staff was tremendously helpful getting us outfitted, and they were very knowledgeable about biking routes in Lisbon.

Super good customer service. Got exactly what I wanted. Special thanks to Jaime who was willing to get my preferred bike from a difficult place. I will definitely go back if I need to rent a bike.

bicycle rental, we rented E Bikse for 3 days, absolutely great, but for the price. but with the E Bike you can also easily get to the top of the hills, no problem

Rented bikes for 3 hours. It was a little overpriced at 15 euros for 3 hours, but still a fun day. We rode to Belem and back. The bikes were nice. The employees were all helpful and friendly. Easy in and out. Would recommend.

Fazit: lieber meiden, wenn möglich

I rented a bike for a 22 day trip from Lisbon to Santiago de Compostela, all arranged online from Thailand. The bike was as arranged, with all necessary equipment. I had no mechanical problems, not even a puncture, largely due to the bike having Schwalbe Marathon tires, I suspect. The whole experience was problem free, including drop off in Santiago. I would recommend this company based on my experience.

Unique service to have high quality bikes across Portugal and Spain. We used their local store in Sintra in 2017 and were very satisfied (MTB and city e-bike). This August we have used their delivery and pick-up services for full suspension MTBs in Spain (Picos de Europa and Asturian coast). Bikes and equipment worked fine. Some logistics issues were sorted out very quickly and handled very generously by the Bikeiberia team. If you compare the total effort/cost to get similar equipment organised locally or ship your oen bike in a plane it is good value.

Wir hatten einen Platten an einem Fahrrad und ich sollte für die Reparatur noch zahlen. Erst nachdem ich darauf bestanden habe, dass der Schaden schon vorher war hat ein Mitarbeiter das kontrolliert. Und so war es dann auch - schlecht geflickt/ Materialschäden. Also Augen auf vor Fahrantritt! Im übrigen ist Fahrradfahren in Lissabon keine gute Idee. Die Wege sind nicht schön.

Really lovely and friendly people there! I bought their bikemap to find my way around Lisbon, commuting on my bike. They where also really helpful giving me tips for cycling around the city, about things to avoid and for daytrips close by.

Lisboa seems not to be a bike paradise, but still I paid 25 Euro for a very old cheap standard bike. The other options were even much more expensive (45 for a roadbike). It worked (2 stars for that), but with completely bald tires and the announcement to pay 10 when I come back with a flat tire! Asking if I could have a bike with less bald tires I was told that that doesn t increase the probability of getting a flat tire (I should mention I was wearing a Cycology T-Shirt identifying me as a bike-nerd to some extend). Not necessary the shop I would recommend if you have more options.

Prices are absolutely bananas and non negotiable. Bikes are mediocre at best and has little functionality even at 45 euros for four hours. Down by the harbor their renting the same bikes for 10 euro. If you want a good bike I suggest you go somewhere else. And, the service is bad. (Edit: I understand that the owner sees the question about quality, prices and customer value in another way as the customer, but calling my review fake is just about a solid proof of bad customer service)
