We did the The Shepherds Cheese Experience and it was nothing short of amazing! Accompanying the shepherd in a part of his daily routine, interacting with the animals, and being educated on this lifestyle and its hardships, was a really rewarding and enlightening experience. I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to give it a try! PS: The animals are super cute :)

We had a great experience learning about the farming process for cork and how it relates to pig and cattle farming. We drove around in farmer s truck. Very authentic experience. I would do it again.

NEVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. NEVER. 0 Stars. My wife and I booked a tour with this company weeks ago. We got multiple confirmation emails, arrived in Lisbon from the US and the day before our tour we were told the farm never confirmed it and that they would cancel our tour. Not only did they cancel our tour, they informed us that a different group would be going on the tour instead of us. We paid in full, weeks in advance just to be told 12 hour beforehand that we couldn t go. Awful service, terrible experience. They kept saying it was the farms fault, but they handle the reservation, that s this companies whole job. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Avoid this company at all cost. NUNCA RESERVE COM ESTA EMPRESA. NUNCA. 0 estrelas. A minha esposa e eu reservámos um tour com esta empresa há semanas. Recebemos vários e-mails de confirmação, chegámos a Lisboa vindos dos EUA e no dia anterior ao nosso passeio fomos informados que a quinta nunca o confirmou e que iriam cancelar o nosso passeio. Não só cancelaram a nossa digressão, como também nos informaram que um grupo diferente participaria na digressão em nosso lugar. Pagámos na totalidade, com semanas de antecedência, apenas para sermos informados com 12 horas de antecedência que não poderíamos ir. Serviço horrível, experiência terrível. Eles estavam sempre a dizer que a culpa era da quinta, mas eles tratam da reserva, isso é trabalho da empresa. Se pudesse dar 0 estrelas, dava. Evite esta empresa a todo o custo.

Walking with Goats and Cheese Experience was a highlight of my Portugal trip. I loved holding the newborn goats and trying to milk a goat. Both were new experiences for me. I also enjoyed walking among the animals on the field behind her home: sheep, kitten, dog, chickens, pig. It was interesting to see olive trees up close and pick fresh bay leaves. Umbelina is a warm and gracious hostess. She set a table with various crackers and homemake bread. Homemade pumpkin jam, lemon jam, honey and many handmade cheeses. She also had a variety of teas, coffee, water and raisins. We tried and loved everything. After we ate, there was still so much food leftover because she put out so much. I especially enjoyed helping Umbelina make the cheese. I learned so much. We truly enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend visiting Umbelina and her goats!

We spent a wonderful and passionate afternoon at the olive factory place. There were many delightful taste experiences, and it was fantastic that they were also able to accommodate my gluten allergy.

I really enjoyed the class! The atmosphere was fun & relaxed. Our instructor was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. I highly recommend the class. It would be suitable for all levels of baking experience.

My girlfriend and I had a great time riding horses, and Mariania was a wonderful guide, taking lots of great photos and videos of us riding. The ranch is very clean and the staff is taking great care of their horses.

Our tour was brilliant and lunch at the ocean side restaurant was very good. I highly recommend visiting Faja dos Padres!

Anna was our guide for our tour and was exceptional. She had a lot of facts and history about the farm to share. The tour included a jeep ride throughout and that was very insightful to the background of the farm. The wine tasting was excellent as well and we were happy to be able to buy a bottle to take home with us and enjoy. Highly recommend!

Such an amazing and personal tour! The wine was great and the hosts were welcoming. We would go back anytime to do it again and to let the winery dogs!! We made sure to buy some wine on our way out :)

Tour was great. Got to walk around farm and learn a lot about cork growing and harvesting as well as the other farm businesses. Great way to spend a couple of hours and learn about a local industry.

The walkabout with Joaquim was a standout experience during our six-week travels in Portugal. He s the real deal; his family has worked the land 180 years. We learned so much about cork, as well as the challenges of operating a family farm in today s world. If you appreciate a personal, authentic, down-to-earth (non-commercialized) experience with a local, do this.

We had a fantastic Cork Farm Tour! Our tour guide was fantastic and shared so much information about cork farming and the entire process, and shared his personal stories which made it all the better. The farm was beautiful, the tour was very educational and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This was certainly a highlight of our Portugal trip!

We booked an olive oil tour for 9-14,received a confirmation and a reminder, but when we got there we were told that there was no tour planned. When we reached out to Portugal Fram experience they told us we received an email about the cancelation when in fact we never did. The guy at the oilvevoil business said he NEVER gives tours in Saturdays and has never heard of your company. Buyer beware. This is a scam. Do not book with this company. You will be very disappointed and out $60 taxi ride to get there and back.

What an amazing experience. We did the Cork and Wine Terroir Experience, it was so interesting and fun. Our guide/host Ana was lovely and fun, her English was great. The wine and food tasting was wonderful. I would highly recommended this as it was a highlight of our trip.

Such an amazing experience. I recommend everyone to do this on their trip to portugal! In the experience we did (horse riding with wine tasting) it was just us visiting. We were taken around the farm by horseback and introduced to all the amazing animals there. It was such a beautiful farm and all the animals looked so happy! We then had a wine tasting with Madalena, who spoke to us in detail about the wines. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. So glad we took part!

What a beautiful place, with great views over the landscape. When it comes to the wine tour, we got a really good guide. Ana, who showed us around, shared a lot of information to us. My family enjoyed the alpaca farm tour immensely! The alpaca were docile and adorable, while the hostess Lisa exuded warmth, passion and knowledge about her farm. It was a unique addition to our Portugal vacation!

It was great! Valter was very nice and told us a lot about the history of Madeira and his farm. We tasted a lot of fruits and veggies freshly picked out of the garden. We made a salad with all the veggies we harvested from it. And made a nice meat on a stick. Also traditional poncha, that was the best we tasted in all Madeira. We loved it and when we come back to Madeira in a few years we will surely come back to visit the farm and Valter again. !

This was so lovely! It was really interesting to hear about the farm and the land, and the lunch was REALLY good! We were a group of 6 and getting to know each other was also so nice. José is a very kind, well-spoken and funny man and his tour is genuinely interesting and does not feel staged or rehearsed at all (which is my fear sometimes).

We absolutely loved it ! We started with 3 toddlers refusing to go on the ponies. And ended up with 3 toddlers wanting to only be with the ponies alone without our help! Thanks to the patience of the staff we had such a beautiful ride with them around the lake, we saw all the farm animals while on horseback and then ended it all with a real tractor highlight for them! Kids had an amazing time and we cannot wait to be back. Such a great plan with your young ones.

Joaquin was an amazing host, his English was impeccable and his knowledge of the cork products was incredible. We learned a lot and appreciated the wine, olives, bread and cheese afterwards. Highly eecommend this tour.

We had a wonderful time learning about goat farming and cheese making with Umbelina. We got a very authentic feel for her daily routine, and walked the olive groves near her home while the goats munched on all the different grasses. She cares deeply for her goats and it shows in the way she understands each of their different personalities. Very worth the visit!

It was such a great experience to make cheese by ourselves and we got to know so many new things!! Kids enjoyed a lot too, walking with goats and sheeps. Umbelina is very kind and we can taste different kinds of cheese also buy her products.

We did orange picking outside of Lisbon and had an amazing time. Carlo and Tomas have decades of experience and answered every question we had, not just regarding oranges but also lemons, olives, figs and other crops. Stunning scenery and the oranges were the best I have ever had.

We did the Farm to Table experience with Valter and it was amazing! Valter went out of his way to show us his farm, explain each fruit/vegetable selected, as well as the steps to prepare each item on the menu. The salad, Bolo do Caco, poncha and espetadas were by far the freshest & best we had on Madeira Island!!

We really enjoyed the Orange Farm tour! Carlos and Miguel were amazing in showing around and explaining details about the trees, farm and all connected. Theyre very attentive and welcoming hosts! My wife and I booked an experience with Portugal Farm Experience, where we took part in the Lunch at a Vineyard Estate experience with Tapada de Coelheiros. First, booking the experience with Portugal Farm Experience was very easy and we had everything confirmed in minutes. The experience itself TREMENDOUS. Catarina at Coelheiros had an infectious personality and was very informative about everything they do at the vineyard, including taking us on a driving tour throughout the property. The wine tasting was delicious and the food superb. Highly recommend booking with Portugal Farm Experiences if you re in Lisbon or Évora. You ll have a great time!

We did a Goat Cheese Experience Tour in Leiria. It was an amazing experience! Senhora Umbelina showed us her farm, we could feed goats. And finally could experience the whole process of making cheese. By the way, the cheese was amazing! Highly recommend!

For the Hydroponic Farm, this really was a fantastic tour. Mike, the farmer, was very knowledgable, answering every question we had, and we really enjoyed hearing about his story. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to learn more about Hydoponics, or just to experience a unique outdoor experience.

Went to Quinta de Santo Estevão farm for an Orange tour experience. Jose the farmer was friendly and very informative and best of all the clementine and oranges tasted very good and sweet! We had fresh orange juice at the end of the tour with some yummy snacks and two large bags of oranges :) I would highly recommend!

The cork tour was amazing as was the winery and the lunch. Joana is terrific - very knowledgable and friendly!

The agency that organizes the tour, represented by Estevao, was unkind and unhelpful. He refused to help me with finding a way to get there from Lisbon via public transport. His solution was to rent a car or take a taxi, and when I asked for a refund since I m finding it difficult to get there he refused to refund me. Not only that, he actually informed the farmer that my tour is canceled without my knowledge. Such an arrogant behavior! On the other hand, the farmer still received me, gave me an amazing tour, offered insights on what to do in the area, how to get back to Lisbon, and even offered a ride to the station. Such a huge contrast in attitude which makes all the difference for this experience. Furthermore, I was asked to provide my review on the farm account instead, so that the negative review would be there. But the farmer exceeded my expectations! It is human to apologize when you re rude. Nothing wrong with that, but some people can t!

Couldn t book online because I was too late but after contacting them, they were able to arrange an orange picking tour. The farm we visited was very interesting and it was very educational. The host was very friendly and kind. We had a great experience!

It was a positive experience for us to visit a local orange farmer. We were given a tour and information on how to grow oranges, other fruits and crops. It was also an experience to be allowed to pick oranges from the trees and take them home for personal use. It was also nice to have a chat over a glass of juice and some fruit and biscuits after the tour. The trip lived up to our expectations.

Would leave negative stars if I could. We purchased an experience that the winery did not even provide and the farm experience company refused to reimburse us for the full amount. The winery was embarrassed by these tour companies and how the continue to scam people. The winery tasting itself was amazing and we highly recommend going to pico wines but make sure you book with them directly!

Fantastic experience for my Dad s birthday treat today with Joana and Jaol, passionate people who are so lovely, friendly and informative, caring and just lovely beautiful Portuguese people

These guys ignored my calls and WhatsApp text messages. They give you a number to get in touch with them for any other questions and they just ignored me. So obviously I didn t go! All I was asking was whether I could come to visit or do one of the activities as a solo traveller. Their website says minimum two people, so I wanted to know if they could squeeze me in. They could have just said no but they ignored me twice. So 1 star! I m sure your farm is awesome, but reply to people when they send you a message, or don t give a WhatsApp number to get in touch. Edit update: I have WhatsApp message screenshots to prove my story but you can t upload screenshots according to google. They only replied to me after the review. Then they posted the lies below. Never trust a business that cannot admit they got something wrong! It is the worst sign when you see them fighting people in the comments.

My cousin and I attended the Portugal Farm experience in Viseu on a Saturday afternoon with the cheese making class commencing at 16:30. The experience exceeded our expectations, not only because we learned first hand how to make cheese, but because of the warm welcome and hospitality offered to us by the two sisters (Cristina and Ines) and later their mother Teresa. We initially began the cheese making process using fresh raw sheep s milk and while the curds were setting we went to the dining/living area of this rustic family home where we tasted cheese, homemade jams and biscuits. There was a young English couple on their honeymoon who also attended our session. After the cheese had set, we returned to the small cheese factory where the curds were cut and then placed in a colander lined with cheese cloth. We then took turns gently squeezing the whey from the curds in the cheese cloth. The whey was siphoned into another pot and when we had put the cheese into the form (weighting it with a rock), we focused on the whey (the colour of milk) which we heated until 75-80 degrees Celsius, stirring constantly, until more curd was separated from the whey. After this had cooled a little, we took turns putting the curds into small forms. This requeijão made from the whey was much creamier and more delicious than ricotta. Afterwards we were served homemade ham with figs from the garden. The dinner table was decorated with grapes and squash. We were served a delicious chicken pie made from the farm s chickens, accompanied by fresh salad from the garden and rice followed by an apple crumble. All the produce was fresh from the farm. The dinner was accompanied by the local wines from the Douro region. The young couple left early, while we stayed with the family talking and laughing until almost midnight. The highlight of the experience was the passion and wonderful hospitality offered by the two sisters and their mother. They made us feel at home, as though we were visiting our own family. We took with us the knowledge we had gained from the session and the lovely memories of this exceptional afternoon and evening.

Very nice tour with lots of snacking and drinking. Manuel and his son in law Alex are fun and explained a lot about figs and all the other things Manuel grows. Picking the figs from the tree and eating them was a great experience. Manuel said, August is the best month to come as they grow mostly then. Thank you!!

We had an incredible beekeeping experience in Sintra. The host, Miguel was welcoming and very knowledgeable. It was particularly helpful to learn about beekeeping in Portugal from his wealth of experience. I would highly recommend this tour.

We drove from Lisbon to Assentis to pick and taste olives at the farm of Manuel Lopes. He was a fantastic host. Even though it rained heavily (unusual weather for the time of year and region), he still had plenty for us to do. We brought our two toddlers and he was great with them as well. If we come to Portugal, we would come back again just to see him. Would recommend the experince without reservation!

Such a worthwhile couple of hours. Not only is this tour super informative, the olive grove and surrounding farm is gorgeous. Rachel was great with explaining everything and taking time to answer questions. It is a small boutique grove that is very environmentally conscious which adds to the beauty. On our first ever visit to Alentejo, we met a local olive oil producer whose unusual methods have created an exquisite brand (Azeite Amor é Cego) that truly reflects his love and passion for his land and heritage. The location was Monte da Oliveira Velha, an olive oil estate located 17 km from Évora. The olive oil was very good quality and the overall experience itself was worth the journey. We enjoyed meeting the proprietor João Rosado and learning about his product. We booked the experience through Portugal Farm Experiences. They have a good range of experiences listed on their website to select from. They were responsive and helpful in arranging the experience for us. They provided all the details we needed including accurate directions to the location. They were also able to accommodate our tight schedule because we had to drive back to the airport that same day. We look forward to trying more Portugal farm experiences and exploring more of Alentejo.

A fun day. The process was demonstrated and explained very clearly. We also had the chance to take part in making the cheese, which was great fun. The meal was excellent meal, as was the company. A really great experience and a highlight of our trip to Portugal.

Though the farm was beautiful and we enjoyed our visit, I am giving this a one star because the price was an absolute rip off based on the fact that we booked a cork farm tour and all we got to see for the cork farm was a single cork tree I am not kidding. There was no processing of the cork at all, no harvested cork to see, no finished cork products, so really you could drive through the region and see more cork trees than you did on this visit. And you could do that for free. The price was exorbitant for what we got.

Had an amazing time today at Valter s banana farm! We went for banana farm experience, we also saw many other fruits and got to see the varieties of bananas. Valter did an amazing tour and took good care of me and my friend, booking was on short notice but we were accommodated really well! Loved the food spread Valter created on a short notice! The homemade honey, farm grown fruits and the local bakery orange cake was amazing, even had them packed for our hotel. Would highly recommend this experience!

Muy buena manera de conocer la ciudad de Torres Novas y el proceso de criar setas mediante la inserción de tablas en palos de la Carvalho o de eucalipto. Se producen unos mushrooms de fina calidad, dignos de comparar a nivel de marcas mundiales.

We enjoyed a lot the banana plantation tour with our guide, Valter on Madeira. He told us not only about the bananas but also about the locals life a lot so all in all it was a very nice experience.

We had a lovely time at Quinta de Sant Ana. They were very welcoming and the food was incredible. The whole experience was magical from start to finish. We took our young son and he absolutely loved it. We had a hard time getting an Uber back to Lisbon and they were kind enough to arrange for a taxi to take us back. Highly recommend!

Our experience at the farm was amazing. We truly enjoyed learning about the process, visiting the farm and the guest house, learning about how to grow figs, and the best part picking the figs from the local and eating them! Sr. Manuel was a great person - very warm and welcoming and informative. After the tour, he took us out for drink and we shared stories. Truly it was a great experience and we recommend it. We wish we knew that you can stay at the guest house and experience what it s really like! We will surely be back to enjoy the moment.

Valter and his organic banana farm were a delight; so was his family. We enjoyed the walk, the teachings, the tasting, and the infusion tea of organic lemon grass and mint. We were also gifted banana and sugar cane roots; can t wait to grow them in our garden.

I had just the chance to discover the snail farm on the website but according to all the opinions and comments it seems that the best welcome is reserved for all candidates. I have already sent an email saying that I am interested in visiting the snail farm I hope to have an answer very soon.

The Cheese tasting experience in Manteigas was wonderful! Ines and Miguel were very knowledgeable on the cheese processing methods and received us very warmly. The set-up of the table and the quality of the cheese went beyond my expectations.

First of all, Inês was a dream! She was SO knowledgeable about everything she shared with us on our tour and made the whole experience so unique & unforgettable! It was our first day in Portugal, and honestly, the best introduction I could think of! When I booked the tour, I wasn t sure what to expect as I only knew we wanted to try out wines and have some small bites around a nice vineyard! ADEGAMÃE BLEW US AWAY! Amazing wine selections, amazing authentic food, lovely tour filled with history as well as knowledge about the winery. All while enjoying the peaceful views and listening to the iconic Inês! If it was the only thing we experienced while in Portugal, I wouldn t be mad about it one bit as it was truly special! (Not to mention that the it was worth every penny, if not more!!) Our winery experience at Quinta Do Sanguinhal from the beautiful drive to the unexpected pastel de nata treats was amazing. If you want an intimate experience where you even get to meet the matriarch of the winery, choose PFE. Catarina, the tour guide, was so attentive, knowledgeable, and even a bit silly dropping bits and pieces of fun facts about the wine and the estate. This definitely wasn t just a destination; it was a whole experience.

Did the Madeira Premium Wine Experience and it was great! Lots of information about Madeira wine and the history around it. Tour guide was very informed and the tour was well-organised. It ended with a tasting plus a discount to the shop. Definitely would recommend!

My mother and I booked an olive farm tour, and it was wonderful from start to finish. Estêvão was an engaging and genuine guide, telling us his story and that of his family, truly making us appreciate the precious rural cultural of Portugal. This was only surpassed by the incredibly friendly couple whose olive farm we visited! The gentleman farmer was so friendly, inviting us to get our hands dirty harvesting olives. Then we toured a old-style olive processing plant, where we felt welcomed by the men working. On the way back to the farm we made a few stops where Estêvão and the farmer showed us a few other olive species and cork trees. Finally we enjoyed a lovely meal with the couple and Estêvão, delicious traditional fare, including dessert! I really can convey how welcoming and engaging the entire experience was. We felt like family.

I highly recommend Portugal Farm Experiences and especially the wine tasting experience. We were three couples on vacation in Lisbon and wanted to see also the region around the city. The wine tasting experience was just perfect for that. We had a fantastic time exploring the vineyards, learning about the production process and the history of the producer, and of course also tasting the wines. Catarina, our guide, did a fantastic job showing us around and teaching us how to evaluate and compare different wines. We had a blast! It doesnt matter if you are a sommelier or a amateur like me. Also the booking process with Portugal Farm Experiences was super easy and smooth! We are looking forward to try one of the other experiences they offer when we are back in Portugal! See you soon :)

Super nice experience! Booked a private tour for a birthday anniversary. The host was a great, communicative person, who shared his knowledge about growing crops, what means organic, the benefits and challenges of having such a farm. After a couple of hours outside, we had an amazing lunch, while warming up close to the fireplace. Definitely recommend and will visit also in the summer :)

Tive o prazer de participar numa experiência do Campónio, numa quinta de cogumelos shiitake. Adorei tudo, a experiência incluiu uma visita onde o produtor explicou todo o processo e, no fim, um super almoço no campo. Recomendo

The farmer is social, passionate and hard worker! He made this place so comfortable for guests. It started with a learning experience and afterwards a long and big meal at a cute spot up a hill. You also get a big box of the shiitake mushrooms which you picked yourself. Muito obrigada!

They took us to a beautiful vineyard outside of Lisboa where we had a great time tasting wine, looking around, and learning about wine. Fun talking to, humor and no awkward moments would highly recommend this experience. And the wine was great too . Thank you for a great day!

The snail farm experience is exceptionally unique. I highly recommend it to anyone whos interested in nature. The farmer is fantastic and youll hear a lot of interesting stories beyond the snails or the farm. Its definitely one of the highlights of my trip.
