Our vans are both car and hotel, allowing you to explore Portugal aboard the coolest vehicle you've ever seen! Our vans are designed to comfortably accommodate 4 people, and pets are also welcome! Having a great size, you can park them anywhere! Affordable and easy to drive they, however, offer all the modern comfort because our base package is really complete, so you only need to bring the desire to discover Portugal.

We have rented a van few years ago and it still a great memory. Super welcoming and helpfull owners and the car was cool!
Our trip was just perfect in every aspect!! We rented a van for 14 days in January from Graça and Abilio to travel through beautiful Portugal. The van was super well equipped, it was the perfect home for us! The lovely owners even gave us a care package with lots of food and snacks! The van ran absolutely smoothly and made no problems. The pick-up and return went perfectly smooth and we had no problems whatsoever. We even forgot to take our belongings out of the save and left. Only noticing it short before our departure, Graça saved the day and brought them to us into the city, what a customer service!! Thank you again! We had an absolute dream vacation and I can only strongly recommend renting from this cute Portuguese couple who are so sweet and nice!! PS: Sorry that it took us so long :D
Very bad experience with this agency. I rented a van for 15 days in Porto last July. After 3 days the sink was completely blocked. The fridge was not working after 5 days. No assistance from the agency... To our numerous messages they answered us that the van was working at the beginning so we had to deal with it for the rest of the stay. Bad surprise at our return from vacations. No damage noted at the checkout but 1000€ of deposit taken for damages discovered after the checkout and that we had not made... I strongly disadvise this agency if you want to avoid bad surprises during and after your vacations. Otherwise the landscapes in Portugal are really nice.
Perfect camper for camping holidays! Nice local company, very vriendly welcoming people and good communication. We love the nature, silence and remoted places as well as sun rises. We got it all!
We had an amazing time in our campervan all over Portugal. Graça and Abilio were extremely friendly, showed us how everything worked, gave us advice on where to go and would have always been reachable if we had had a problem along the way. The campervans are equipped with everything we needed, we were kept warm even in mid-November and felt safe all around. We would rent a van with them all over again and can only give our warmest recommendation for anyone interested! Obrigado a Graça and Abilio!
Me and my friend had the opportunity to travel with this amazing van, full of every comfort, and we travelled around Europe for 2 months and a half. Being able to visit so many countries (15 in total) in a really safe way, is just the best we could have asked. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and took care of our necessities. Definetely an experience to repeat.
The Getaway Van is by far the best Caravan service we have ever used. They're vans have lots of small design improvements that drastically improve your experience. Their staff is incredibly nice and welcoming as well. We can't say enough good things about our experience with them! Don't waste your time with other van rental companies go here first!!!
What a great company! They are all so friendly and helpful, it really made our holiday get off to a good start! The vans themselves are beautiful and vibrant with everything you need in them for an amazing time away. The sense of freedom we got just driving through the amazing countryside was just fantastic! I've been away on a few trips like this before, but this experience was unique. I would totally recommend it to anyone looking to just get away for a bit, experience a bit of wonder (as well as the rich cultural history of Portugal, we had some pretty amazing nights!) and have the holiday of a lifetime without the extreme prices of more commercial and uncaring package companies. They felt like a real 'family' business (I'm not sure if they were) but they looked after us the whole time and answered all the questions we had. Thank you so much!

Wir waren nun schon zum zweiten Mal mit dem Campingvan unterwegs und sind mega begeistert! Hier stimmt einfach alles! Vom Service bis zur Ausstattung, von der Gastfreundlichkeit bis zum super coolen Design der Wagen. Alles an Bord was man braucht, um entspannt durch die Welt zu reisen. Nächstes Jahr kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!!! Danke für Alles!

Es war ein phantastischer Urlaub in diesem Camping Van! Es hat nichts gefehlt und alles war sehr komfortabel und gut ausgestattet. Technisch war alles im einwandfreien Zustand und sehr gepflegt. Die beste Erfahrung war mit den beiden Inhabern die in Freundlichkeit und Herzenswärme kaum zu überbieten sind. Selbst unsere 10 Monate alte Tochter hat die einfühlsame und liebenswerte Art der Inhaber genossen. Der Camping Van wurde uns ausführlich erklärt und wir hatten jederzeit ein sicheres Gefühl. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
the van is incredebly confortable. it was designed by the owners and it lacks nothing. We travelled with three people (two adults and a child), and we had a great time. the owners are super! friendly, welcoming, helpful. i have rented vans with other companies in the past but they are by far the best.

Très bon rapport qualité prix, nous avons eu un petit problème en milieu de voyage mais celui-ci a été réglé dans les 24h, Graca et son mari nous ont gentillement amené un nouveau van. Service au top. A conseiller!
Honteux!! Une arnaque!! Je vous déconseille fortement cette agence!! Nous avons loué un van pendant 10 jours au départ de Porto cet été. Lorsque nous avons fait le check-out avec Graça et Abilio, aucun dégât na été détecté comme lindique le constat. La caution de 1200 devait être remboursée la semaine suivante mais nous avons été informé 4 jours après avoir rendu le van que des dégâts avaient été repérés et que notre caution allait donc être gardée. Des voleurs!! Nous avons rencontré dautres voyageurs qui ont réservé leur van avec dautres agences et ils nont pas eu de problèmes!! Nous vous déconseillons cette agence qui arnaque ses clients. Dautant plus que le van nest pas fonctionnel : le frigo ne fonctionnait pas et lévier été bouché. En plus dêtre des voleurs, ils sont malhonnêtes. En effet, un juge a reconnu lagence coupable et elle devait nous reverser la caution mais lagence a fait la sourde oreille et ne nous a jamais indemnisé. Si vous ne voulez pas vous faire arnaquer, ni se faire voler comme nous, nous vous conseillons de choisir une autre agence bien plus honnête et transparente. Il en existe de nombreuses à Porto et au Portugal. Extrêmement déçu par cette expérience *** Disgraceful! A scam!! I strongly advise against this agency! We rented a van for 10 days from Porto this summer. When we checked out with Graça and Abilio, no damage was found as stated in the report. The deposit of 1200 was to be refunded the following week but we were informed 4 days after returning the van that damage had been found and that our deposit would be kept. Thieves! We have met other travellers who booked their van with other agencies and they had no problems! We do not recommend this agency as they rip off their clients. Especially as the van is not functional: the fridge was not working and the sink was blocked. Besides being thieves, they are dishonest. In fact, a judge found the agency guilty and they were supposed to pay us the deposit but the agency turned a deaf ear and never compensated us. If you dont want to be ripped off like us, we advise you to choose another agency that is much more honest and transparent. There are many such agencies in Porto and in Portugal. Extremely disappointed by this experience!!
Extremely disappointing about the customer experience. I rented the van for a week with friends and the sink was blocked and did not clear out properly, the fridge never worked we ended up losing 100$ worth food. The agency never helped except by telling us to go to a garage The best ? They kept the bail without telling us after the checkout, because of some obscure reason that they cannot even prove. Stay away from this agency if you don t want to spend 900$ for damages you did not do
Péssima experiência, carrinha em mas condições, frigorífico estragado e mau serviço. Não recomendo a ninguém! Em cima de isto tudo ficaram com o depósito 900 , quando nós tinham garantido que íamos receber tudo!

We were first timers renting a campervan and Graca and her team made it super easy for us. The van came with everything we needed for a week surf trip into northern Portugal and Galicia and a few extras that we didn t know we needed, such as hot water shower, little expreso maker and full cooking condiments. For two folks surfing and staying at remote beaches this was perfect. Thanks Graca for making our first experience in campervans a memorable one. Udeni & Al.

a little bit afraid in the beginning, since it was my first time renting something like this.. but it was an amazing experience. First people were very nice and helpful, explain everything and offer to help in all our needs, then driving and living in the van for some day was an astonishing experience, all commodities are in the van, not for one moment we were lacking comfort. They are extremely well equipped and loads of fun to drive anywhere. strongly advise to try.
We never did this type of tourism. If you are new it can be a bit scary. Still with little planing and some help from the Getaway Van team the plan took shape. They explained the basics and gave away some precious advices for a daily roadtrip. It was an excelent experience. Absolute freedom! Nothing to add about the vans... we made 5 requests and the van had everything we request and some more. Ho there is one thing, While you are driving people will LOOK at you with envy. We loved it!! :D To be repeated!
