Upon car drop off the man took out his magnifying glass and began inspecting every cubic nanometer of the cars service for scratches and damages. When he couldn’t find anything he pointed to a non existent 1cm scratch barely visible to the eye on the vehicle and told me that this wasn’t present before. He then proceeded to tell me he was doing his job, and that I was responsible for that. Do not rent from here. Horrible drop off experience. There hunting to steal your money. Update: I am pursuing legal action. See attached photo. I was charged almost 200 euros for a scratch that was under the specified policy and additionally could have been easily overlooked. I was not provide pre inspection documents even after verbal request. Judging by others reviews (which will be added to my case) this is to be expected as Sixt is engaging in predatory and unfair practices. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. It may appear cheap but they will recover the lost funds from other means like fraudulent charges on insignificant damages.

We got sucks with a broken car, two kids and no road assistance. Now they are charging us 1.400€ for a broken key? This is fraud and I can’t understand how a big company like sixt is promoting such practices.

THIEFS! Be careful booking at this particular Airport Off Terminal! I wish i read the comments prior my booking…as many people already reported this „sixt“-rental station is a scam with dishonest people working there trying to steal your money. I was always happy with sixt around the world, but you really should avoid this station in porto. I had to return the car earlier than opening hours. They told me just park it outside and leave the key in the box(what i did) I returned it at the same condition like i rented it before. After a week i got an email with some random pictures, „some cover in the luggage space is missing“ they charged me 270€. So…next time you remove the tires after returning, make pictures and tell your customers they have to pay for the tires or what?? Sad thing is that the first vacation with my son has this negative taste afterwords… Avoid avoid avoid!!!

On the plus side, best value for money I could find after having to change my original rental booking due to flight amendments by the airline. I was more than happy with the vehicle, with friendly and professional inspection at drop off, so no unnecessary surprises after getting home. Unfortunately, it was let down overall by a strange pickup experience in comparison to all the others I've had over the last few decades. The guy who greeted me seemed to think I had no idea what was happening and proceeded to tell me that the booking company I had contracted through didn't exist and there was no car, even though I'd already paid and was expected by Sixt. He said there was no car, and that they would now need to find one, and that all responsibility was transferring to them. Despite having reserved a model comparable to exactly what I ended up with, he suggested that I had booked something inadequate but was upgrading me for free, yeah right. After the usual hard sell on insurance and acceptance of my liability, he then tried to push a return empty policy, contrary to the booking agreement, and never once indicated that this was optional, until I asked. This was after him suggesting he would be doing me a favour by charging me a special rate of approximately €2 per litre for the fuel due to high prices elsewhere. Thankfully, I filled up literally 50 metres down the road at the airport station at drop off for €1.62, which was actually cheaper than anything further out. After I got the car he then seemed incredulous that I asked if it was alright to park up on site, get some pictures of the condition, and get accustomed to the vehicle before driving off. The whole experience left me on edge after my flight and dreading the drop off experience, which was thankfully far more typical. I get it, they have to upsell insurance, but don't overdo it and put customers off. Just my experience. Your mileage may vary.

Customer Review for Sixt Car Rental in Porto and Faro: Beware of Scammers! We booked our car through Check24 with Sixt for pick-up in Porto and drop-off in Faro. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arriving in Porto, the salesperson immediately questioned the credibility of Check24 and claimed that the insurance we had purchased was insufficient. He tried to push an additional insurance for €27 per day—clearly an attempt to unsettle us and make extra money. He also insisted that we return the car with an empty tank, even though we had booked the full-to-full fuel policy. After contacting Check24's very helpful customer service, we confirmed that we were supposed to return the car with a full tank, which was correct. Had the salesperson succeeded, we would have paid twice for the fuel. Our unpleasant experience continued in Faro. The salesperson didn't even greet us and immediately began meticulously inspecting the car for damage. After about 10 minutes, he claimed to have found a dent, which we could neither see nor feel. After repeatedly asking where exactly this supposed damage was and taking multiple photos, as well as threatening legal action, he finally admitted that the dent was under 3cm—meaning, according to him, no charge would be applied. Still, the whole encounter left a bitter taste, as the behavior seemed shady from the start, and there was clearly no damage. When we got home, we discovered that Sixt had overcharged us by an additional €120—without even sending an invoice beforehand. We were charged €70 for an alleged fuel refill, despite returning the car with a full tank, and an additional €50 for a one-way fee, which was already included in our contract. In conclusion, we can confirm that Sixt's poor reviews are entirely justified. The rude and unprofessional service at both locations left us feeling like they were deliberately trying to charge customers extra. If we could, we would give negative stars. Never again with Sixt!

I rented the car one day before but i did not receive a confirmation in the mail that the car was available. Despite this, Flavio went above and beyond and even got an upgrade!! Unfortunately, however I also made small damage (scratches) on my car which was my fault - they tried to clean it with a spons but did not help. So they have forwarded it to the damage department for review. I appreciate that they did their best to remove the damage so that I wont be charged. An update will follow when I receive the feedback

Beware! I got hit with a $500 charge after turning my rental car in because they found damage to the tire and wheel that were not from me. Inspector when I picked up the vehicle did a very brief inspection with me at check in, which is pretty typical in my experiences, but when you drop it off, the inspector is very thorough and found previous damage from another renter and charged me for it. Pretty minor and cosmetic damages too. I tried fighting it but since I signed off on it, I'm stuck with it. I would avoid renting from them, seem very sketchy and scammy. If you do, make sure you do a VERY thorough inspection and take your own pictures.

Flavio has been extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire reservation process. We didn’t have a booking ahead of time so he took the time to process everything smoothly. He also gave us tips around the city and local driving habits. Not sure why this place has a 3.3 rating as it definitely deserves much more. Highly recommend this Sixt location instead of the one in the airport due to cheaper rates.

Versprochen wird die Autovermietung im Terminal des Flughafens Stimmt nicht. Die Schalter im Terminal sind jedoch geschlossen und man muss einen Shuttel nehmen wie bei allen Vermietstationen.

Deram um carro não totalmente limpo. O combustível não estava cheio. Os danos não estavam todos na folha dada. Cobraram um combustível pré-pago de 77 . Eu devolvi o carro durante a noite com 3 ou 4 traços de combustível e não me devolveram qualquer valor. Por inocência minha, não tirei foto no momento de entrega. Roubo à descarada! O mais importante é fazer dinheiro, não ter clientes fiéis à empresa ;)

Worst experience ever with SIXT! (I used to rent a car many times per year especially with SIXT for professional/personal reasons) I booked a car with a baby seat for 2PM. Arrived at 2:15PM, I am the only one customer, waiting 20min just to enter my personal info but strangely didn t have this issue the weeks before with SIXT in Leiria because already have SIXT account. Then still waiting with no words from the guy, ah sorry the car is coming, we are washing the car No sorry no words And then the car come with no baby seats Oh wait, we need to grab the seat to another SIXT. The seat arrive 20min after, with those words: here the seat please install it yourself! No excuses, nothing! We left SIXT 1hour after under 30 degrees for a baby, it s intolerable! No excuses, no words! I am a frequent traveler, patient, speaking Portuguese but this one was too much! The quality of SIXT was better before or please hire people who wants to work for your company!

Très très déçu! Après avoir pris une assurance complet je me rend à viseu le soir avec de la pluie sur l autoroute je reçois un projectil sur le pare-chocs qui malheureusement cassé . J apelle le service d urgence qui me disent quil n y pas de soucis étant assuré !! Il me change la voiture sans aucun problème de retour en Suisse je reçois une facture sans aucune preuve de réparation de 1700.euro à régler. Ils nont jamais voulu comprendre la situation ni rien. Venant d une enseigne pareil je trouve ça vraiment culotté et presque en peu voleur! A quoi sert l assurance bref maintenant il mon mis en recouvrement ! Je n ai toujours pas reçu de preuve de réparation et aucune lettre recommandé ou autre ! Je ne remettrais plus les pied chez sixt de ma vie je suis énormément déçu!! Et je me sens escroqué comme jamais je ne l avais ressenti

Lors de la prise du véhicule, nous avons fait un petit tour du véhicule malgré le fait que c était le soir et que le véhicule était complètement mouillé à cause de la pluie au retour comme par hasard des rayures de plus de 10cm en bas du véhicule! 320 de réparation!!! la dernière fois, je recommande pas du tout. De plus lorsque nous avons rendu le véhicule il a direct demandé si nous avions une assurance et il a direct contrôlé le dessous de la voiture là où il y avais les rayures!!! C est une arnaque très déçue d une si grande compagnie. En plus quand on est les appelle ils raccroche au béez en plein milieu de la discussion quel professionnalisme

Nous mettons 1 étoile mais s il y avait une note inférieure nous aurons eu le plaisir de la mettre ! Service et conseils catastrophique ! L homme à l agence prend les gens de haut, nous oblige à prendre des assurances et nous mets des options sans nous demander notre avis. Lorsqu il nous parlait c est à la limite de nous crier dessus. Muy mala experiencia me engañaron de la manera mas cínica posible. Me dieron un coche con un poro en el neumático y cuando llegue a mi destino estaba la rueda baja. Me cambiaron el coche y me dijeron que no me cobrarían nada. Después de unas semanas me llega una carta a casa reclamando . Me cobraron mas de 300 por el incidente sin posibilidad de reclamación. Unos ladrones estafadores. Very bad experience, they deceived me in the most cynical way possible. They gave me a car with a hole in the tire and when I got to my destination the wheel was down. They changed my car and told me that they would not charge me anything. After a few weeks I get a letter at home claiming. They charged me more than 300 for the incident without the possibility of a claim. Some swindling thieves.

The worst service we ever experienced. First, the car we choose started to bring up a red light after 100 meters driving we had to drive back and get a new car. Then we delivered TODAY 27.02.2023 the car we got and explained the situation to them.. also saying that we used our via verde. The guy that works there was so so rude!! His last words was - I m done with you and he runs away! Please if you want to keep your customer s kick that guy out or give him some lessons on how to treat people!!! We will never go to this place again.

Un erreur de frappe et sa fait tout la différence, quand je me rend à porto je loue à l aéroport toujours bien reçu qu elle accueille hoauu comme tout les agences sixt ,je venais de louer à Toulon et déposer à Orly pas de soucis rien à dire que demandé de plus,mais là il y a pas de mots il y en a qui bom peut-être comprendre ,malheureusement je me suis senti comme dans dans les années 60 l époque de la dictature qu elle horreur je suis venu 50 année un arrière mais c est la vie qui veut sa ou peut-être mon âge

Our car wasn t returned on time by the people before us, so they gave us a loaner car for the day, covering the difference, and we drove back the next day to pick the car up. We rented an SUV from this location and dropped it off at Lisbon Airport. It was a bit difficult for the Bolt driver to find the location but after a bit of searching we made it there. The rental agent was friendly and efficient and encouraged me to take photos of any minor scuffs and scratches that they did not consider damage, just in case. The car was in great condition and I appreciate that they did not try to upsell us (that happened to us at Sixt Las Vegas and was a big waste of time). Drop off was efficient and easy as well. I was nervous about renting from Sixt after reading the reviews here but came back to leave a good review since we had such a positive experience. Recommended!

I have to say the bad reviews here seem to be justified. As I read some before picking up the car, we were very caucios during the process, looked for damage and made photos and videos of the whole car (also reccomended by one guy working there). As we dropped it of in another location (Faro Terminal) I cant say anything about the return itself in Porto. However in Faro it was quick and professional. We recieved the documentation that no new damage was found without asking for it. We did however wash it beforehand in order to make sure no further damage could be found und any dirt. However as we recived the bill, things werent so clear anymore. They charged us for a whole prepaid tank of gas even though I did not reserve this option online and the guy at the counter specifically told me they could refuel it at no extra cost when dropping it off (we hovever refueld ourselves). So it seems that the guy at the counter added this option and then lied to us regading refueling. It was even so that the total amount before tax with this upgrade was the same as I would have payed with tax before so I did not see it when checking the contract as I thought the total was correct. This could also be by chance though. So be sure to check every position on your contract! However after contacting Sixt by Email they refunded me the amount for the prepaid gas which is why I am leaving a 3 star review. Overall I would say it is advisable to book external insurance as it is much cheaper than doing so through Sixt and make sure EVERYTHING is the way you booked it. Overall it was an okay experience but I would probably choose a local company the next time. Only good thing was that the one way rental charge was fairly priced and everyone was kind. Nothing bad to say about the car itself.

Das von uns gebuchte Auto war plötzlich nicht verfügbar. Es wurde uns vom nicht sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiter mitgeteilt, dass die Buchung gecancelt ist, ohne Begründung...Aber ganz zufällig könnten wir ein anderes, wesentlich teureres Auto mieten. Als wir dies ablehnten, meinte er mit einem äußerst suffisantem Lächeln, wir könnten es ja woanders probieren...was wir dann auch erfolgreich taten.. Eigentlich waren wir immer zufriedene Sixtkunden, aber wir können nur sagen ,Hände weg .... Nur ein Stern weil es null Sterne nicht gibt

Encore une fois le portugal porte bien sa réputation de voleur sur les locations de voiture. J ai effectué une location sur l application, location la plus élèves avec toutes les assurances comprises. Arrive au terminal de l aéroport de Porto, le discours était tout autre. Retournement de situation et « cerveau » si je ne m abuse. On nous fait comprendre que notre location ne couvre pas toutes les garanties. Mais quand on leur montre notre contrat on bec toutes les assurances coches, personne ne sait répondre. On nous a demandé 112 supplémentaire et une franchise de 400 . Et pour finir ils on le culot de nous demander 5 étoiles sur l application

I rented a car for a week of holidays around Porto with Sixt. First it is really more advantageous to go through this agency rather than the one within the airport and it is a 5min walk from the airport, very easy to do you should not be afraid. Then I refused the insurances offered and did not feel at any moment the people here would try to charge me for something more that I didn t need. The check out process was simple. I would recommend this agency that seems to be pretty fair.

Sorry Sixt, but this is just fraud. At the car return the guy was looking for minor damages at the tires. What he found was definitely from normal use. He declared it as holes . Never had this kind of scam on any other station in the world. As a diamond member I was used to much better costumer Service, why I always paid a bit more for Sixt. This was the last time. You lost a costumer.

A fuir, des voleurs. Le Flavio nous dit que nous navons pas dassurance donc une franchise Nous disons oui ça nous va. Mais il décide de mettre toutes les assurances sans notre accords. Il ne montre pas le contrat bien sûr ne le donne quaprès signature. Impossible ensuite de faire marche arrière. A notre retour il nest pas là et heureusement.

Service honteux. ... Une véritable arnaque... Plus de 600 de frais dassurance ajoutés aux frais de location de voiture sans demander notre avis et sans aucune explication... Une fois que nous nous sommes rendus compte de la supercherie il était trop tard, et le responsable nous a clairement foutu dehors lorsquon lui a demandé des comptes sur le service que nous venions de payer... Je déconseille fortement cette agence, et je ne louerai plus jamais de voiture chez Sixt. Un scandale.

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience renting a car from SIXT Portugal (Porto) during my visit in June 2023. As a tourist from the USA, I was excited to explore Portugal, but my rental car nightmare with SIXT tarnished my entire trip. When I returned the vehicle, the representative claimed there were new damages to the rental car. However, these were clearly pre-existing damages that I was not responsible for. I disputed these claims vehemently, and the representative recorded my refusal on his tablet. But shockingly, when I received the signed document via email the next day, the crucial paragraph stating my refusal had been deleted without my knowledge or consent. Its clear that the SIXT representative tampered with the agreement, which is unacceptable and dishonest. The car itself was in poor condition - the wheels and rims had scratches, and all four tires were worn out. Considering the vehicle was only two years old and had been driven by countless clients on Portugals busy streets, some wear and tear was inevitable. However, SIXT took advantage of this situation to charge me for damages that werent my responsibility. As a result, I faced hefty charges on my credit card for supposed extra damages that were not caused by me. Its evident that SIXT capitalized on my status as a tourist and deceived me with their unethical practices. Ive contacted SIXTs customer service multiple times to resolve the issue, but their responses have been unhelpful and dismissive. The lack of accountability and transparency from the company is truly disappointing. I strongly advise against renting from SIXT Portugal based on my terrible experience. Their deceptive practices and lack of integrity have left me with a sour taste, and I dont want anyone else to go through the same ordeal. Avoid SIXT Rental Car at all costs and opt for a more reputable and honest rental car company in Portugal.

Muy mal servicio. Nos entregaron un vehículo con neumáticos lisos, lógicamente que frenaba mal porque no tenían agarre, cosa que es un peligro. Cuando quisimos hacer el cambio en la agencia nos dieron otro pero no con las mismas condiciones, pagamos por un vehículo a Diesel y nos dieron uno de gasolina porque según no pueden hacer nada. Y ni disculpas pidieron por habernos dado un vehículo que nos puso en riesgo ya que las condiciones climáticas fueron de lluvia para cuando ocupamos el vehículo. Serviço muito ruim. Deram-nos um veículo com pneus lisos, logicamente travou mal porque não tinham aderência, o que é um perigo. Quando quisemos fazer o troco na agência nos deram outro mas não com as mesmas condições, pagamos um veículo a Diesel e nos deram um a gasolina porque segundo eles não podem fazer nada. E nem pediram desculpas por nos ceder um veículo que nos colocou em risco já que o tempo estava chuvoso quando ocupamos o veículo. Very bad service. They gave us a vehicle with smooth tires, logically it braked poorly because they had no grip, which is a danger. When we wanted to make the change at the agency they gave us another one but not with the same conditions, we paid for a Diesel vehicle and they gave us a gasoline one because according to them they cant do anything. And they did not even apologize for giving us a vehicle that put us at risk since the weather conditions were rainy when we occupied the vehicle.

Nett und freundlich ABER Filmt immer das komplette Auto auch das Dach! Wir haben ein Auto mit über 20 Mängeln bekommen, die sind wir auch alle durch gegangen, haben aber nicht auf das Dach geschaut, beim abgeben zeigte man uns eine kleine Beule im Dach . Kam nun die Rechnung von ca 700 Das Auto sah bei der Abholung aus wie ein Schlachtfeld von außen! Der Herr meinte beim abholen ich brauch nicht tanken, sie würden das machen und es kostet kein Cent mehr. Habe ihn halb voll abgegeben, nun kam die Rechnung von 70 , haben mehrmals sogar auf Reserve getankt und lagen bei 67 beim 40l Tank. Das ist reine abzocke. Mieten das ganze Jahr viele Autos auch in Portugal aber sowas haben wir noch nie erlebt! Ich frage mich, was mit dem Versicherungsgeld von den anderen 20 Mietern passiert ist, weil reparieren lassen sie es ja nicht..

I rented a car from Sixt for an important family event. However, a few hours after picking up the vehicle, a warning light indicating the need to check the oil levels appeared on the dashboard. This incident occurred outside Sixts customer service hours, leaving me without support and in a precarious situation. The appearance of this warning light, especially in the context of continuous heavy rainfall over two days, posed a significant safety risk. Driving in such weather conditions with a potential vehicle malfunction could easily lead to a breakdown or, worse, a road accident. This concern for my safety, compounded by the severe weather, left me with no choice but to cancel my participation in the family event, which was the primary reason for renting the car. Upon returning the vehicle, I reported this issue, expecting a considerate response and appropriate resolution. Instead, Sixt Portugals response was both delayed and dismissive. They downplayed the severity of the situation, treating the oil check alert as routine and neglecting the potential danger it represented, particularly under adverse weather conditions. The compensation offered a voucher for a free upgrade on a future rental fails to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation and the risks I faced. This approach reflects a disturbing disregard for customer safety and an underestimation of the potential consequences of vehicle failure, especially during hazardous weather conditions. This experience has left me deeply concerned about Sixts commitment to safety and customer service. Providing a vehicle with maintenance alerts and then minimizing the customers valid safety concerns is unacceptable, particularly when those concerns are exacerbated by dangerous weather conditions. I urge potential customers to consider these issues when selecting a car rental service. Safety is paramount, and any reputable rental company should prioritize the well-being and security of its customers above all else. Regrettably, my experience with Sixt Portugal falls woefully short of these expectations.

Surtout pas passer par ces personnes malhonnêtes ! Ils m ont dérober de l argent en m assurant que je n aurais aucun prélèvement sur mon compte bancaire. Ils sont irrespectueux envers les clients. nous avions crevé un pneu avant. En ayant pris évidemment toute les assurances nécessaires. en haute montagne, nous avons du attendre près de 2h avant qu en taxis vienne nous chercher. De retour à l agence nous demandons une voiture automatique car c est ce dont nous avions réservés à la base, il voulais nous donner une manuel, Et lorsque nous lui expliquons qu on a payer pour ce supplément. Flavio Oliveira, celui qui s est occupé de nous, s est permis de hurler sur mon copain. C est inadmissible. Où est le respect envers le client déjà ? Nous sommes très énervés Je conseille pas et je ne recommande pas du tout cette endroit pour louer des voitures. Ils sont incompétents et désagréable ainsi que voleurs. L étoile est présente uniquement car sinon je ne peux publier cela. Merci et j espère que j éviterai à certains de se retrouver dans de mauvaises circonstances. L employé, nous a gâcher notre week-end de seulement deux jours.

Dishonnest people which managed to charge me (1) a refuel surcharge of around 100 while I had returned the car with full tank and had refused the refuel option, AND (2) a repair cost of 852 for a damage BELOW the car which you cannot see if you walk around the car and is obviously not related to any posible driving incident... They maintained their position even after I sent them a polite objection letter, I couldnt believe it... I attach a picture with all the details and evidence.

Service catastrophique, déjà une heure pour récupérer la voiture avant hier, avec un service désagréable au possible, une heure d attente aujourd hui. Je passe sur les détails concernant l état de saleté dans lequel j ai récupéré la voiture. La personne présente, seul, pas de voiture à réceptionner passe et repasse devant nous sans nous demander pourquoi on est là. Je comprend pas. Hatte einen Mietwagen im März von DE gebucht mit Reservierungsbestätigung. Angeblich war meine Sixt- Expresskarte blockiert, und vor Ort bei der Station, nach Rücksprache mit der Hotline in DE, und trotz Mail-Anfrage an den Sixt-Kartenservice mdB um Hilfe passierte gar nichts! Für 1000 Aufschlag wurde mir dann eine angebliche Alternative angeboten, habe dann frustriert woanders einen Mietwagen gebucht. Mein Fazit: Nie wieder Sixt!

Mauvaise expérience !! Fuyez Flavio !! de 1 il pousse à prendre plein doptions/assurances malgré le fait quon explique quon avait déjà une assurance via CB. De 2, loption remise de plein dessence à larrivée par leur soin est une grosse arnaque !! Il explique que cest avantageux car moins cher au litre mais ne dit surtout pas que cest basé sur la restitution dun véhicule vide dessence dans tous les cas. Autant vous dire quon leur a offert facilement 30 à larrivée.

Attention DANGER, a la souscription de la location, lagence vous propose de pre-payer le plein (75euros) qui ne sera facture que si la voiture est rendue sans le plein. En fait, le plein est facture meme avec un vehicule rendu plein et a la reclamation client, ils vous disent que le contrat est clair et quils vous facturent de toute facon. Un service digne des plus grands voleurs. Javais une réservation faites sur internet avec une remise par code entreprise. Le jour de la réservation, lhomme de laccueil nous a fait une remarque quant au prix de la voiture, prétextant que nous lavions eu à un très bon prix et que cétait rare. Suite à ça, il a ajouté des multitudes doptions pour revenir à un prix complétement surréaliste (ajout de conducteur tierce) etc. Au final, il a annulé la réservation et nous a demandé de la refaire sur internet pour repartir sur des bonnes bases, mais bien sûr aucune voiture nétait disponible à la location. Sixt ferait bien de se renseigner par rapport aux personnes quelles embauchent. Ne venez jamais louer votre voiture dans ce Sixt là

The 1 star reviews for this Sixt location are completely accurate. It is by a mile the worst rental car company Ive ever encountered. This company is dishonest and will try and charge you for preexisting damage, will falsify documents, will lie to your face, will charge you for a full tank of gas even if you return the car with a full tank, will rent you a car that is unsafe to drive, and will not lift a finger to try and remedy any issues that arise. Please note, the customer service e-mail posted in response to previous reviews is a complete joke. No honest effort is made to assist. Do not rent with this company. They have contempt for their customers, they will waste your time, they will waste your patience, and they will waste your money.

Au départ Sixt était moins cher quune autre agence mais en finalité on sest rendu compte que cétait des voleurs. Arrivés à 17h55 (due à un retard de vol) pour une fermeture à 18h00 nous avons été pris en charge à 18h03 par lagent, ce qui nous a value 40 de charges. Impossible de les faire disparaitre car cest automatique. Le retour : nous avions téléphoné 1 semaine avant pour le décaler dune journée. Pas de problème nous dit lagent de location au téléphone. Le jour J on lui redit et il ny a toujours pas de soucis. Tout est marqué sur le contrat. Mais 7 mois après tu reçois en plus de ta facture 72 de charges qui correspondent au retard lors du premier jour, et au retard lors de la remise car notre demande navait finalement pas été prise en compte. Seulement 7 mois après et la première facture payée, tous les documents ont été jeté... Ils ont gagné.

Avis pour celles et ceux qui sont en train de choisir un véhicule de location : EVITEZ À TOUT PRIX SIXT, et SURTOUT CETTE AGENCE ! Je viens de vivre une experience épouvantable. En juillet, nous avons loué un vehicule au sein de cette agence. Lagence nous a proposé les différents contrats dassurance, et nous avons décidé de prendre loption Annulation de franchise 0EUR. Il convient de noter quen plus de cette option, les loueurs de voiture dans lUE sont obligés dinsérer dans le contrat de location, une assurance responsabilité contre les tiers, ce qui était le cas dans mon contrat. À peine sortie de lagence, nous avons heurté un autre vehicule de cette agence -> un tiers. Lagence nous a dabord confirmé quaucun frais nous sera prélevé car nous étions assurés totalement. En Août, mauvaise surprise, nous avons été débités de frais annexes (péage - Via verde -> option que nous navions pas activé dans le contrat. Au final nous avons payé 2 fois le peage). En Novembre, nous avons reçu la note liée à la reparation du vehicule heurté sous pretexte que notre contrat ne prevoyait pas de garantie contre celle ci. Malgré notre refus et notre tentative de dialogue ainsi que la confirmation par le European Consumer Network Centre qui nous ont donné raison, lagence a débité notre compte la somme de 451 euros !!! Cette methode est indigne de SIXT, et nous avons décidé de les attaquer en justice. Laffaire est en cours de preparation car nous ne tolerons pas cette methode quon pourrait qualifier de voyou. EVITEZ DONC CETTE AGENCE

From dishonest business practices, to falsifying documents and lying to customers, to renting out unsafe vehicles and refusing to take responsibility for any issues that arise, its clear that this company has no regard for their customers. Their customer service is a joke and they make no effort to assist or resolve any problems. Al alquilar un vehículo me dijeron que tenía la opción de dejar el depósito de gasolina vacio o lleno como me lo encontré, porqué el vehículo (BMW) tenía un sistema para conocer los litros del depósito. Al regresar dejé el vehículo con el depósito lleno (80 ) y no atendieron mi reclamación aunque aporté el recibo de la gasolinera, alegando que tenía que haber dejado el depósito vacio. Desconozco la política de atención al cliente de Sixt, pero lo que si se seguro es que nunca más utilizaré esta compañía para mis desplazamientos.

We rented a car to go from Lisbon airport to Porto. The car was clean and in perfect shape. The staff was polite when we got the car and left it. The shuttle service was free and quick. The biggest issue is to contact anyone from the Sixt customer service and to get any information by phone. The exact location, where we were supposed to leave the car, wasnt clear, so we tried calling them, without success. We arrived at the rental service point in the city center of Porto but discovered that the working hours mentioned in Google maps are different in reality (6 pm instead of 8 pm). As the result, we had to spend a lot of time in traffic jams to reach another point, at Porto airport. This situation could have been avoided if their hotline actually worked, or if information was given with more details from the start.

Gostaria de poder dar 0 estrelas, fizemos reserva on-line, quando chegamos aqui estava fechando e com o aviso sobre o meet & greet com um número para fazer ligação, porém ninguém atende nesse numero. Descaso com cliente. Um absurdo. Tinha até um carro do lado de fora que foi deixado para devolver abandonado pois não tinha ninguém para receber o carro

If you want to be ripped off, then its the best agency. When you return the car, the employee will find a scratch that existed before and that was not reported during the check-in of the car stating that its superficial so no need to report it. Secondly they can add new damage a week after you returned the car saying that the car was too dirty to see it in first place. Nothing to do because its a common practice as I see in other reviews, they master the art of stealing the tourist... Despite my honestly and my email and complaint, they denied everything and charged me 625 euros for... nothing. Never again Sixt and please avoid it.

Petite annexe de Sixt avec prise en charge et retour du véhicule très rapide. Les prix étaient très intéressant en août 2021. Toujours bien faire le tour du véhicule et bien vérifier les jantes (tous ce qui est de moins de 5cm ne compte pas) ! Attention tout de même à bien prendre soin du véhicule car un minutieux tour du véhicule (intérieur et extérieur) est effectué au retour. Nous relouerons sans problème.

SIXT: où comment se faire voler 558 - FUYEZ !!! Suite a une location faite du 2/10 au 4/10/21 auprès de lagence SIXT Off terminal à Porto (Portugal), le vehicule a été contrôlé méthodiquement par un technicien de lagence lors de sa restitution et aucun defaut na été relevé, puisquil ny en avait pas. Un bon de retour precisant labsence de nouveau défaut sur le véhicule a été signé par les deux parties. Le technicien ma indiqué que tout était correct et ma simplement demandé une signature sur son smartphone. Cinq heures après la restitution, lagence SIXT ma informé par e-mail avoir découvert un impact sur le pare brise suite au lavage (mais non vu lors du contrôle, pourtant réalisé de jour, en plein soleil et sur véhicule sec) ! Ce défaut naurait pas été vu sous prétexte que le vehicule était très sale, alors que le vehicule na servi que 2 jours et nétait que très peu sale. De plus, comment conduire avec un pare brise heavily soiled ? Le kilométrage du véhicule lors de sa restitution était de 11342 km, mais le kilométrage accompagnant les photos me présentant un impact sur le pare brise est de 11345 km, soit 3 km de plus que la restitution ! Pourquoi le vehicule à parcouru ces 3 km ? Jai loué de nombreux véhicules dans dautres agences SIXT Porto sans aucun problème. Je viens de découvrir que de nombreux avis sur son site révèlent que cette agence semble utiliser couramment cette pratique. Jai adressé plusieurs e-mail à lagence de location ainsi quau service client SIXT Portugal, leur indiquant que je contestai leur démarche et mopposais au prélèvement de la somme reclamée. Mais en vain. La société SIXT a réalisé aujourdhui un prélèvement de 557,88 sur mon compte, sans mon accord bien entendu. Tout cela est totalement inadmissible ! SIXT agit de façon unilatérale et ne tient aucun compte des constats signés avec ses clients lors de la restitution des véhicules. Il devient donc très risqué de louer chez SIXT puisquau final, ils peuvent trouver et facturer absolument nimporte quoi, malgré votre signature sur un formulaire de restitution, sans votre consentement et en échange de quelques photos prises ont ne sait ou, on ne sait quand et avec un kilométrage différent de celui de la restitution. Mise à jour du 11/11/21 Suite à un recours déposé auprès du ECRCS (European Car Rental Conciliation Service) SIXT vient de se voir débouté et dans lobligation de me rembourser la somme indûment prélevée. Bien entendu, ils ont tout de même prélevé au passage 40 de frais... des truants jusquau bout. Jespère que ce post vous sera utile Surtout, fuyez cette agence, et si vous êtes victime de ces escrocs, ne lachez rien, DEFENDEZ-VOUS !!!

Preço semelhante dos concorrentes. Atendimento muito bom. Burocracia normal na retirada. Na devolução é um pouco enrolado. Na Áustria eu estaciono a viatura e largo a chave num local determinado. Aqui a pessoa que pegou o carro fez uma vistoria muito bem detalhada e demorada, isso que peguei o carro com franquia zero. Ou seja, mesmo que tivesse algum problema eu não precisaria me preocupar

The location is close to Porto Airport, but it not related to the shuttle service. You walk to the location. The personal was nice, too bad the customers in front of me coudnt decide what they want, and it took a while until a second employee showed up. But after that, it was nice and easy to drive away in the rented car.

DONT BOOK WITH SIXT PORTUGAL. Worst car-hire experience of my life. Poorly maintained and UNSAFE cars. I had a tyre BLOW OUT on the highway due to underinflation, and they have decided to charge me for DAMAGE. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE. The tyre FAILED due to POOR MAINTENANCE. I know this, because the replacement car ALSO had underinflated tyres as I got a warning on the dash after 10 minutes of driving. NO RESPONSE to emails after WEEKS. They take your money and run and hide because they know they are in the WRONG. No one has tried to RESOLVE this situation with me. If the OWNER sees this, please contact me to resolve this immediately.

Worst rental car experience ever. Our flight got delayed and we got there after 8 pm and they were closed. Returned the next morning before they open to pick my car up but they didn t honor the reservation and asked for 5 times the original amount for the car. That s right, they jacked up the price by 400% and they didn t even care to show me their company s policy. After wasting more than an hour with them and online customer service, finally gave up and made a last minute booking with Avis. Paying 40% higher than my original booking with these guys, which is reasonable due to the last minute booking. Will never trust or do business with these people.

The worse customer service in my entire Portugal trip. I had a reservation with this location to pick up a car at 3 PM. I made the reservation in April 2019 for December. Our airplane could not land in Porto because of storm and safety. We had to go back and wait for 7 hours in the plane. By the time we got to this location it was late and they did not respect the rental agreement. The real reason was that the demand for car rentals was so high that week and they could rent them more. So they used the flight delay as an excuse to deny rental.

Sixt is a Great Company in Germany, our company rents cars there for many years - but in Porto at the Airport it isn t. DO NOT BOOK THERE! - the Gas Tank story mentioned in other feedbacks here almost happened to me too, but I fortunately refused. Almost 1 year later- we received another receipt for a 2 or 3 toll fee (which we paid for directly at the Sixt counter when we returned our car) that was inexplicable and refused to pay. No further communication for months - after that a reminder - unfortunately our accountant transacted the amount - and at the same time a claim from a Finnish parking company arrived - incl 30-35 fee - so we paid twice - and complained - no reaction - almost criminal and a colossal impudence.

Dishonnest agency : the car is returned with the fuel tank full at 6 over 8... and the full value of the tank has been removed from my bank account. After a first answer (just sending the invoice with their obvious mistake) by email, no more answer despiste several emails. Still waiting !!!
