Be aware of renting cars in Portugal in general, I have rented several times in many different agencies, this was not my first time using Sixt in Portugal. The pressure to make you buy their worry free insurance is high, while many people like me decline it because I rely on my credit card to be reimbursed in case of real damages. The problem here is that many times like this particular time I was given a Clio in bad shape already it had several damages, scratches, dents everywhere. I had to spend time making sure all these issues were already documented on the contract before I drove off their lot, I probably wasted a good 20 minuted making sure I was covered, but guess what? I oversaw a tiny stone chip on the lower part of the windshield, as tiny as a nail corner cuticle. Please note that when you are given the keys you are just told where the car is and you have to go look for all imperfections but upon return they will look for a fine hair to charge you extra. I was charged 146 Euros for this time chip in the windshield that it was already there, I can assure you no stones or any object hit the windshield while I was driving. What really pisses me off Is that taking into consideration all the scratched, dents etc the car had, and how many people has been charged for repair that are not performed and the next customer if not noticed by him will pay again for the same thing. Please make sure you go through any microscopic scratch or dent because they will charge you for it upon return. Please look the chip in the pics below.
It's rare I give 5 stars to a car hire company but Sixt Porto airport deserves it. The van that collects you is spotless. The lady at reception (Bruno I think) was lovely. So friendly and happy and explained everything completely. No hard sell for extra insurance which I had already. The car a VW was spotless. Easy and quick to drop the car back and no delays dropping me back to the airport. Everything was so clean and well run.
This was my first time using Sixt and I am super satisfied with the whole experience. My experience was absolutely amazing. The staff deserves 5 stars!!!! They were very helpful in every aspect. Front desk helped me upgrade to a better model due to the sizing of my luggage. For the first time ever I actually got the car I rented and not a comparable. The car was absolutely amazingly clean and in mint condition. I will definitely use them again. Thank you to all the staff who helped me I am truly grateful.
Julia, at the front desk, was an angel in Sixt employee form! She was so patient and kind with my wife and I, and helped us upgrade our car to a better model, and choose the right insurance so we had peace of mind during our trip. She also gave us excellent recommendations of things to do and places to see on our anniversary trip. As an added benefit, she speaks perfect English, which is great because my Portuguese leaves a lot to be desired. We highly recommend renting from this location, it's very conveniently found inside the airport, and then a shuttle takes you to the car pick up. We rented a Mercedes CLA and it has been fantastic so far, on our 3 week long trip around Portugal and Spain.
Fantastic experience with Sixt! Picked up my rental car yesterday, and i was provided outstanding service – friendly, efficient, and helpful. The whole process was smooth, and the car was in perfect condition. Highly recommend!
We're do I begin? Booked a small SUV 8 months prior to our holiday. 19th August we arrive 11am and start the hire agreement, the agent tells me we have a Ford Puma and points to a grey one in the holding bay, confirms the rental dates and takes my licence, passport & credit card numbers I say to him I am glad it is not a VW as I work for them and drive VW's all the time so it is nice to drive something different. We get to the point we're he is just reaching for the ipad to sign the agreement when something catches his eye as he looked toward the bottom of his PC screen and announced oh you have a VW.... why? He tells me the Puma has run out of contract and can't use it. He then offers me a €600 upgrade to his only spare vehicle, a Mercedes A class. Really, how convenient, which is turned down, so he then transferred all my details onto the VW T Cross tried to sell me full insurance which I already had he then tried to tell me mine wasn't good enough yet it covered everything he mentioned. He then dismissed us, so we stood outside for 40 minutes waiting for this VW to move along the queue from the returns side, through the wash bay and over to the handover side, in that time ahead of this VW in the return queue and through the wash came a Ford Puma, a Seat Arona and a Renault Captur, I don't understand why we were not given one of these 3 vehicles all ahead of the VW all went to the parking bays and sat there. When we asked that question, the agent oddly struggled now with English but had enough to mention change of vehicle fees. More annoyingly as we left the initial Ford Puma the one that had the contract end so can't be used was having cases put in the boot, so I guess that was a lie so he could get me into a VW knowing I didn't really want one opening up an opertunity for an extra €600 which will be why I didn't get the offer on the other 3 vehicles. The vehicle itself was clean, but gear selection was difficult, and on the motorway, the gear knob and boot came off in my hand changing from 3rd to 4th pretty dangerous that! As we got closer to Porto the traffic built up and we were then changing between 1st and 2nd selection got worse and worse eventually coming toward junction 1 vehicle would not select 1st at all as I tried 2nd the gear knob yet again came completely off in my hand leaving just the metal shifting stick. At this point I decided with 2hrs plus dive ahead of me this VW is going back, unfortunately I had only 2nd so I struggled to get over and onto the junction one slip back to the airport now in the right hand lane traffic started to move I tried 1st again and it went in.... BUT there was a beep and the reverse camera came on, a guick look at the section gate told me it was not over by my knee (reverse) but in the gate for 1st gear and was stuck in this position on a very busy A28 and junction 1 just 11 minutes from Porto, we had driven this car a mere 18 minutes from the rental office. I managed to get it out of reverse by putting foot on brake hard and lifting clutch quickly stalling it violently which made the gear shift pop backwards into neutral using 2nd I crept off the carage way onto the hard shoulder. That was roughly just gone 12 in the afternoon, approximately 15 phone calls to both sixt and driver assistance every time the road A28, t pinpointed junction 1 and direction of travel given we sat for 6 hours on the side of the road, one of us a diabetic, no water, no food, no toilet each time my wife called in tears they put her on hold up to 25 minutes then cut you off. Great service, a police car stopped twice the 2 nd time he was annoyed that sixt have left us in such a dangerous position we handed him the phone as my wife was yet again talking to driver assistance he stood there on hold for 5 minutes gave us the phone back and told us tell them next time I pass I will take you to the airport and dprak to them I will also get this car towed. SEVEN HOURS this ordeal took and we were 18 minutes from the rental office. Shocking service. The only care was for thier property in the end.
Pure scam, swindle and cheeky staff, inventing scratches and making you pay already existing damages... simply because you haven't bought the insurance they suggest !!! Google comments are true. It's scamming at random ! Run away from "Sixt" JAPrac Rent-a-Car Porto Airport and simply don't take the risk ! Am struggling to be reimbursed (around 340.00 EUR !!!) for so-called damages that were already existing before pick up of car (see pics attached to this comment). We had taken pics of damages on the day of the pick up. Surprisingly, no staff was available to check the car with us at pick up... Not the usual Sixt procedure! Terrible experience at the end of what could have been a very nice family vacation if we had not met people of "Sixt" JAPrac Rent-a-Car Porto Airport! No need for Joana, Paloma or any chatbot to reply here! I know your answer already. How long will such fraud still last? Will Sixt Group at Zugspitzstraße 1 in Pullach, Germany still endorse these fraudulous methods at Porto Airport in the next weeks, months or in the long future?
The experience between me and some people might be different. For us, our experience was good. We rented a dacia car for 1 day. We picked it up at the airport and returned to the same location. The price was OK. We booked and paid it online. They will need your credit card when you check in for the car. The staff is nice and friendly. I advise you to take many pictures and videos from the car to avoid false accusations after using it. Good luck and thank you, Sixth.

Péssima experiência no aeroporto do Porto. Sou acostumado a alugar carros com a Sixt. Nesta mesma viagem tive ótimas experiências nos aeroportos de Lisboa e Madrid mas esta em OPO foi muito decepcionante. Depois, lendo outras avaliações, percebi que não é na verdade uma filial Sixt e sim uma loja local que usa a marca Sixt mas não consegue oferecer um serviço à altura. Aluguei uma SUV Premium BMW X1 e, ao chegar na loja, fui informado pelo funcionário Faisal que não havia viaturas BMW disponíveis e, então, me ofereceu um Renault ou um Nissan, que, obviamente, são inferiores a um BMW. Quando reclamei o Sr. Faisal me disse que havia uma Mercedes disponível mas que teria que pagar mais de 100 de diferença. Ou seja, anunciam marcas Premium para vender sem ter e na hora empurram o que tiver, alegando que a categoria é a mesma. Não sei em que planeta um Renault ou Nissan tem a mesma categoria que um BMW ou Audi ou MB. Enfim, aceitei a viatura que estava disponível e, agora quando chego em casa, sou surpreendido com uma cobrança de reabastecimento, sendo que contratei o serviço de reabastecimento quando fiz a reserva. Em contato com o customer service por email me disseram que averiguaram com o Sr. Faisal, que abriu meu contrato, e este informou que eu havia optado pelo Flexi Fueling e recusado o Prepaid Fueling, o que não é verdade. Além de tudo temos também que lidar com funcionários mentirosos! Realmente uma vergonha para a marca Sixt que existam franquias assim. Lamentável.
Cambada de corruptos, a empresa de taxi com quem eles trabalham levam o dobro do dinheiro numa viagem ao porto , pedi um taxi e levaram me 45 euros da vossa estação no aeroporto Sá Carneiro a Campanhã

Angepriessen wird Autovermietung im Terminal. Stimmt nicht. Man muss einen Shuttel nehmen und die Schalter im Terminal sind geschlossen. Als wir dann einen Shuttel hatten nach dem 3 volle bereits wegfuhren, durften wir über eine Stunde warten. Dazu bekamen wir noch eine falsche Fz.-Klasse. Anstelle eines kleinen SUVs, nur einen reinen Compact Car. 2 Sterne da das Auto in einem guten Zustand war und die Rückgabe reibungslos ging. Danke Carlos.

so nao dou 0 porque não da , primeiro fazem te pagar um extra porque tens menos de 25 anos mas no momento da reserva em nenhum momento indicam tal cobrança a mais , segundo o serviço e extremamente lento cheguei pro pedido eram 22h20 so as 23h45 e que consegui arrancar com o carro , fiz uma reserva em novembro 2024 pra 3 dias do dia 01.11 ao 03.11 com VIA VERDE , e agora em janeiro veio-me uma multa da ascendi de 30e por portagens de dezembro 2024 e janeiro de 2025 , contactei a SIXT a pedir informações e que resolvessem o problema , a resposta deles foi nula - não pagam esses 30e e nem se desculparam de tal erro , sabendo que no contrato de aluguel de carro esta bem preciso que pagamos um extra pra termos VIA VERDE , desconselho fortement esta MERDA DE AGENCIA

Réservation faite sur easyJet, donc on n est pas prioritaire. Expérience horrible. C est inadmissible d attendre 1h et de faire passer les personnes arrivées après nous. Nous avions de plus une personne handicapée avec une carte handicapée, la personne du guichet nous a dit de nous assoir et d attendre notre tour. Il faut savoir que si vous ne réservez pas sur leur site vous attendez que toute la terre passe avant vous. À éviter

Hire a 6-seater car for a week during the Christmas holidays. On arrival, we forgot the driving licence for the booking. The agent at the counter was very understanding and professional and quickly drew up a new contract so that we could take the car. The vehicle was clean and in perfect condition, and the service was perfect and efficient. The initial contract was refunded to us a few days later without any hassle. A really top agency!
Service was great due to Julia. At the airport, will need to wait for a shuttle for a 3 minute drive to Sixt. Make sure to get a ticket queue. Julia was quick and picked up the car within 5 minutes. As a returning customer, I would like to add the continued great service recognition for Thiago and Isabel. They were both very helpful.

Super nettes Personal, tolles Auto, einfache Abwicklung. Ja, man unterschreibt vieles, was man nicht liest (Kleingedrucktes). Haben über den ADAC gebucht, daher alles ok. Eine Info über Zusatzversicherungen ist erfolgt, allerdings nicht aufdringlich. Fahrzeug war ziemlich sauber und hatte keine grösseren Schäden. Rückgabe ebenso zügig und die Herren waren sehr nett. Würde bei Sixt in Porto Flughafen immer wieder buchen (zumindest via ADAC :-))

I had a good experience at Sixt. The gentleman at the counter (Faisal) was incredibly friendly, helpful, and patient throughout the process. The gentleman who assisted me with the car (Luis) was equally kind and went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Their professionalism and customer service were top-notch. The waiting time was a bit long; still, I d recommend this rental for the ease of the process and the transparency.
Expérience du 12/2024. Véhicule réservé de type x1 ou similaire. À l arrivée malheureusement plus aucun modèle de ce genre . J avais le choix entre un 5008 et un xtrail j ai demandé à avoir un Glb pour le même prix et cela a été accepté. Le véhicule était propre et récent avec 25.000km. Dommage que j ai du faire l appoint d Adblue lors de l arrivé chez moi à 40km. Monsieur José a l accueil est très sympa et l état départ / retour avec M. Luis Padron a été parfait.
Péssima forma que tratam os clientes!!! Tenho foto de todos os dias dos carros sem nada mostrando riscado. Ninguém havia avisado que ja estava riscado e depois quando devolvemos ainda falaram que tinham mais riscos, tenho fotos do carro e nao tem nada riscado. A pessoa na hora de entregar o carro deveria ter mostrado aonde estava ja riscado como o mesmo informou na hora. E nos tratou com muita grosseria na hora da devolucao. Nunca tivemos problema em nenhuma locacao com nenhuma empresa apenas com a dos senhores.
Péssima, pegamos o carro sem nenhuma inspeção ou acompanhamento, simplesmente nos deram a chave e indicaram o box onde se encontrava o carro, na devolução procuraram cabelos em ovos e nos apresentaram vários riscos que não fomos nós quem fizemos, e sem nenhuma sensibilidade e bom argumento, nós com o horario para pegar voo e relatório irreal por email. Não utilizem com esta empresa. Em nenhum dia sequer estacionamos o carro na rua.

The worst rental company in Porto never rent from this company again, I booked a full size SUV BMWx1 when we arrived they trying to sell me all kinds of extras insurances etc, then they said the bmwx1 wasn t available so the give me a Volvo with damages all around the vehicle looked like come from a war zone the most descanting car I ever drove, the should be ashamed to rent a car like that to costumers, and after all that when I returned the car they charge me for a small scratch in the mirror which that was there when I picked up the car . They are the biggest scammers in Portugal , they keep your credit card number so they think they can do whatever they want, I make a big complaint to my credit card and got my money back , but the point is they are scammers and nobody should go through this. Please don t rent from this scammers .

AVOID THIS RENTAL COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SCAMMED!!! They rent their vehicles cheep, but push hard for overpriced insurance and upgrades. If you dont buy the insurance they will make money from fraudulently clamming additional damage. On departure they acted like minor scuffs and scratches on the car are not a big deal or noteworthy, but when you return the car they scrutinize every inch of the car. We rented the vehicle from the Lisbon airport but dropped it off in Porto. The parking garage in Lisbon is very dark, and videos are not enough because they will accuse you of damaging the vehicle and grainy video is not enough. They told me they dont have pictures from the previous rental, but we all know they take pictures on every rental return! They accused me of scratches on the roof, but we didnt strap anything to the roof. They are trying to scam me for almost $300 for scratches that I didnt create and look like they could be buffed out in a few minutes. What a joke!

Personnel très sympatique et serviable. Toutefois, à 2 reprises jai constaté les sièges des voitures loués un peu tachés.... 1ère fois du chocolat fondu sur le siège passager (jai passé une lingette avec un peu deau pour nettoyer et tout propre : donc nettoyage par leur préparateur un peu baclé...) La 2ème chose : attention à la facture car il mont facturé le pré-plein carburant automatiquement dans la facture finale... alors que jai rendu avec le plein. Daprès leur dire, il faut appeler pour réclamer et ils remboursent. Prenez toujours des photos lors de la restitution... ça aide

Une équipe au top ! Accueil impeccable à l aéroport de Porto. La dame qui nous a reçus était vraiment adorable, le monsieur en charge du transport très sympathique, et mention spéciale pour celui qui nous a accueillis avec un charmant accent brésilien et qui parlait un peu français ! Toute l équipe a été super pro et chaleureuse, ça met tout de suite en confiance. La Toyota qu on a récupérée est parfaite, même si elle a plusieurs rayures, ce n est pas gênant du tout. Merci Sixt Porto, un début de location parfait !

Realizei um aluguer de Viatura na SIXT Aeroporto de Porto, de 01 a 03 de Novembro 1 - Nissan Qashqai e ou semelhante e recebi o que aparecia com 1º Opção... Excelente recomenda-se e atendimento pelo Srº Em causa foi TOP e deveras rapido, o problema é os clientes que vão fazer levantamentos e fazem MIL PERGUNTAS, e faz fila enquanto levantei o meu carro em 2minutos, porque já tinha ficha e sabia o que queria.... é preciso ter paciência mas ás vezes esgota-se.... esperei 25 minutos a ver 2 clientes a fazerem mil perguntas de tudo e mais alguma coisa ---------

Very good experience at Sixt in Porto. I rented the car in Lisbon. The car was heavily damage the same day. I went to Sixt Porto and they changed the car immediatly. They werent able to get me the same value car, so they upgraded me. In this stressful moment, they were very kind and the process went very well. I would recommend this place.

Personale molto disponibile, puntuali e chiari, l unica cosa abbiamo chiesto una macchina per 7 persone ma il bagagliaio era troppo piccolo, ci stavano solo due trolley, abbiamo viaggiato con le borse sulle gambe, per brevi tragitti può andare.
Agency was punctual when handing over the vehicle with a very courteous and smiling welcome, its pleasant. No problem when returning the vehicle despite having left the vehicle without inspection (very early theft). I can only recommend.

Não entre !!! Vai ser lesado !!!! Vão cobrar danos inexistentes !!! Fui lesado em 300 euros em 31/03/23. Um furinho de 5mm no revestimento interno do veículo !!! Quando coloco a foto a reclamação é bloqueada !!! De lá para cá as queixas de golpe só se multiplicam ! Mesmo modus operandi. Não fazem vistoria na entrega e cobram depois danos não causados pelos clientes ! Fujam !!! Conseguiram fazer nova cobrança indevida no meu banco a poucos dias mesmo com o cartão bloqueado. Vou processar o banco ! 12/11/2024 Continuam com a burla do dano inexistente a todo vapor !!!! Isso é caso de polícia !!!! Essa agência tem que ser fechada !!!! Estelionatários !!! Ladrões !!!!!

Schnelle und unkomplizierte Abwicklung. Es wurden keine unerwünschten Zusatzversicherungen angedreht. Wir konnten uns sogar ein Mietwagen raussuchen. Gesamtzeit war weniger als 10 Minuten.
It was a fault! The parking was full of cars but we were introduced only to 3 automatic cars..!!! We didnt has any option..!!!!!
Personnel sympa et efficace, aucune attente au guichet, la voiture était prête, c était exactement le même modèle que lors de la réservation (ce qui est rare), voiture récente et bien équipée, aucune incitation forcée pour ajouter des assurances ou options comme chez d autres loueurs, rapides Bref, pour le moment c est un sans faute, à voir si ça se confirme au check out.
Se avete fretta non noleggiate qui, se invece avete molto tempo da perdere noleggiate da SIXT. Veramente pessima gestione
Excelentes profissionais. Já usei outras empresas nomeadamente no aeroporto do Porto e falha sempre qualquer coisa, com a Sixt corre sempre bem. Continuarei a optar sempre pela Sixt.

Terrível.. nunca mais.. quando peguei o carro estava cheio de arranhões.. não veio ninguém conferir eles.. fiz um vídeo.. mas na hora da devolução muito estranho o cara foi direto em uma roda e falou tem um arranhão aqui.. não cheguei a filmar as rodas.. sendo que o carro ficou parado os dois dias no hotel.. não tem como ter feito aquele arranhão.. detalhe.. cobrança de 255 no meu cartão da pagar mês que vem por danos..

Depois de uma hora e meia a espera para ser atendido o arrogante colaborador que lá estava após passar 5 cartões na POS não foi capaz de pensar que o problema era do terminal. No mesmo dia constatei noutro estabelecimento que havia simplesmente que desligar o POS e voltar a ligar. A arrogância nunca foi boa conselheira. Se trata assim um cliente gold imagino como não trata um cliente não regular. Por minha parte foi a ultima vez que venho a este balcão.

Porto Airport in Portugal - Sixt Car Rental Company, the service is very good, because the car window was broken, it is really just a car rented in Spain, but we called the Spanish company and ignored it for four hours, the Portuguese company still replaced the car for us ! It s so touching to continue the journey!

Rented a car at the airport and probably the most friendly and efficient rental ever. Julia was at the sixt kiosk just outside arrivals and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Reasonable rates, and an affordable full coverage package just gives you peace of mind. Ive rented cars for work almost every week for the last year. Nothing beats the service we got from Julia at Sixt. Free two minute shuttle ride to the offsite lot where more efficient and friendly folks handed the keys over.

Péssima experiência na Porto (aeroporto) . Carros muito usados e sem cuidado nenhum. Aluguei um carro e quando cheguei ao destino ele nem fechava .... Para arrancar era um problema ... Tive que voltar lá para mo trocarem .. Faturação idem... Atendimento lento ... Para não mais repetir.

Great pickup shuttle and driver was very respectful. People at the counter were very professional and took their time with you. Car was clean and low mileage. Return was very seamless.
My husband and I twice rented cars from Sixt during our trip to Porto. Each time we had the pleasure of dealing with Mr. Flavio Oliveira. He was gracious, efficient and took the time to tell us of sites we should visit in Portugal. (Reservations were under the name Robert Manley)
Terrible, Avoid this company. They will charge you later on telling you rental car had some scratchs and charging on your credit card. AVOID SIXT in Porto airport.
I would give 0 star if it was possible but I can t . What can I say this company said to me that I need to have cash on card until one month after car rental was finished in order to charge me for highways. Today is half year since I rent a car from them and they still trying to charge me for something (I don t for what and how much they tried I even didn t see any bill or smth like that).

Le véhicule est très bien , propre et récent, laccueil par Pedro et une demoiselle sest bien passé ils sont très sympathiques.
Péssimo serviço de cliente. Alugamos uma carrinha que já tinha vários danos no interior, no momento de recolha até disseram que não era preciso nos preocuparmos com o interior do veículo. Entretanto utilizamos a carrinha, onde transportamos um armário que esteve envolto em plástico e até colocamos um cobertor para o móvel não causar danos no interior do veículo. Chega ao dia seguinte, vamos devolver a carrinha e o colaborador vai direto à traseira do veículo, ao interior das portas da mala e diz que tem novo dano. Dano esse que seria impossível sermos nós a fazer. Nisto, o colaborador diz para não nos preocuparmos porque normalmente não cobram nada. Entretanto recebemos um email a dizer que tínhamos que pagar 210 pelo dano, que até era um buraquinho com menos de 2cm. Tendo isso em conta, não considero que a empresa seja honesta e creio que até agem de má fé. Não recomendo a contratação de NENHUM dos serviços deles, pois nunca sabemos se vão ser honestos e cumprir a palavra. Honestamente, só dei a avaliação de 1 porque não dá para dar menos. Parabéns pelo péssimo serviço.
