We had a great time renting the electric bikes for our trip in Óbidos. Mauricio was excellent and the bikes were in perfect condition. Such a neat place to cycle around. Highly recommend it.

We rented two e-bikes for one day and made a trip to the Serra de Montejunto. It was a beautiful trip on asfalt roads and gravel roads between the vineyards. It was a physical challenge because the road went over the hills, but with the e-bikes it was very comfortable. We rode for about 70km, used enough electricity to drive relaxed and didn't have to worry about the battery because we could take a charger with us (wich we didn't need to use). We would definitely advise to rent these e-bikes and make the beautiful trip to Montejunto, you will sweat but the view along the way will be worth it.
Fantastic bike hire, i had a road bike for 2 days and covered 230km up MonteJunto and to Nazare. Mauricio was super helpful with extra equipment and routes.
Renting through CyclinRio was wonderful. We had a last minute idea the day before to bike from Óbidos castle to the lagoon. Mauricio was very responsive, gave us wonderful information for the ride. Renting for 4 hours was more than enough time for this trip. If you have some trouble with hills, an e assist bike is recommended, but I was able to do this with a 1.5 year old in a front seat carrier. The bikes were in good condition and well maintained. Mauricio had helmets for the four of us, including our 1.5 year old. The child seat in the front worked great and was comfortable to ride with. Thank you Mauricio for the memorable experience.
The two days we had our bikes added another dimension to our holiday and allowed us to get to see Lagoon Obidos, Baleal, Perniche on one day and the next, the other side of the lagoon to Foz and up the coast to Praia de Sao Martinho do Porto. Excellent option for biking from Óbidos. I was able to get in a lovely 17 miles from the town to the Lagoa de Óbidos along a dedicated bike path that was very flat, secluded and scenic - passing through orchards, vineyards and finally the expansive lagoon. Bike was high quality and well maintained. Highly recommended. Apart from getting back into the old town, there’s really no notable elevation on the westerly side of Óbidos so route options for all levels of riders.
The owner was very nice and gave us directions to the route. Bikes in great condition, the set includes a helmet, lock, phone holder and even a backpack! The cost of renting for 24 hours is 30 (MTB bike). The deposit was refunded almost immediately (via Stripe). Entrance through the shop, a sign on the window. We recommend it, the views over the lake are great, its worth taking advantage :)

We were looking for a fun way to get to the gorgeous lagoon and huge beach nearby obidos, and discovered this perfect bike rental! Mauricio, the owner, was incredibly accommodating and friendly, giving us tips on a route (nearly the whole route was on bike path, and no busy roads at all!) I would recommend renting bikes from here to anyone passing through obidos and looking for an adventure, it was absolutely perfect.
Absolutely amazing experience! There is an incredible trail from the castle to the beach that is very accessible and not too difficult. The bikes worked flawlessly and the owner Mauricio was one of the nicest people I ve ever met! If I could leave 6 stars I would.
Très bon service ! Les vélos sont adaptés et en bon état et Mauricio donne des conseils avisés pour les circuits . Il faut bien remplir le formulaire de contact pour réserver un vélo et ensuite le récupérer au magasin indiqué , même si on n a pas l impression qu il y a un loueur de vélos à cet endroit !
Der Fahrradverleih ist nicht so leicht zu finden und nur über eine kleine Bar zu erreichen. Nicht abschrecken lassen, das Personal dort ist super freundlich und geleitet einen sofort in den Innenhof zum Verleih. Der Inhaber Mauricio ist ein ausgesprochen sympathischer und sehr korrekter Mensch. Er ist außerordentlich hilfsbereit und flexibel und berät einen zu möglichen Touren und sehenswerten Locations in der Umgebung. 100% Empfehlung!
I reached out to Mauricio a few weeks before our trip to Portugal and from the get go he was warm, friendly, easy to communicate with and so helpful! He set us up with bicycles and helped us plan our route based on the distance and elevation we wanted to do. The bikes were in great condition and performed perfectly for the days ride. I would reccommend CyclinRio for any skill level or riding style!
Bikes were perfect for our trip to Baléal following the ecopista along the Óbidos lagoon. Mauricio is such a nice spirit.. Highly recommended!
Fomos realizar um troço da Ecovia da Lagoa de Óbidos, foi espetacular. Após o contacto com a CyclinRio, em menos de 1 hora vieram ter connosco ao local combinado e entregaram-nos as bicicletas, que foram perfeitas para o percurso realizado. O Maurício foi super super prestável, simpático e atencioso No final, ainda nos deu algumas dicas de locais e praias a visitar, bem como locais para jantar a ver o pôr do Sol. First I thought Google is mistaken since there were no signs of a bike rental store. However, I decided to send an email and soon got a friendly response form Mauricio. I later learnt that due the historic nature of the area no commercial signs are allowed outside. Anyway, I rented a bike for day. The bike was ready and waiting for me. I took it for a full day ride and the bike worked flawlessly. Returning the bike was very smooth, too. No issues with paying or anything else. This bike rental can be recommended without any reservations.
