What can I say. Our landlord recommended us IslandRent and we trusted.They just dropped us to the airport and everything was perfect. If you want to explore the island, IslandRent should be your first option.

Amazing experience with IslandRent! Professional, on time and they answer extremely fast! They Come and pick you up directly at thé airport, there is unlimited mileage on the car and the team is super kind and responsive! If you have a problem, ask them and they will find a solution fast. The Prices are also super competitive and for the service they provide, you cant find a better deal. It is by far, the Best experience i had with a renting company They also have a lot of cars you can chose from. We had an automatic car and it was literally New! Niskie ceny i s dost pni ca dob je li chodzi o odbiór lub zwrot samochodu.

Nous avons réservé via notre maison dhôtes. Nous sommes très contents de cette expérience. La voiture correspondait a la réservation, elle était propre et tout était ok. La navette de laéroport à lentrepôt et inversement cest très bien passé, le personnel est très agréable et patient (merci Pedro et Tania). Si vous êtes quatres, je vous conseils de prendre +que 85chevaux, il y a pas mal de montée raide sur lîle et si cétait à refaire nous prendrions plus de Chevaux sous le capot.

I cant recommend IslandRent enough!! They were amazing with us from the point of picking us up from the airport and delivering us back to our nearby hotel, the car was new and in pristine conditions, they gave us recommendations on what to do and where to go, always available to answer questions. Our special thanks to Pedro, Tania, I believe Marco, and all the remaining staff. We rented a car for a week in late October, and felt we coulndt have chosen a better time to do so.

Very sweet and friendly car rental. The staff is gorgeous. Regarding the car: In my opinion,to be honest the car was a little small for the price. It s really low season and my car was even smaller than the cars of my friends that booked at the same time with other rentals and payed just the half of the price. I booked here because a friend of mine recommended but not sure if I have to book here again. Very expensive and till now I do not understand why it was much more expensive than the other cars. But it was all ok and the service was very good

We had a great experience exploring Sao Miguel with this car rental! All communication through Whatsapp was super fast and efficient. When we dropped off the car we had a slight issue with the gasmeter (it didn t show full), and they made no issue about it at all. We 100% recommend!

Très bonne expérience de location de voiture ! La réservation se fait via WhatsApp, tout est clair et ils sont très disponibles pour la moindre question ou demande. Une navette vient nous chercher pile à l heure juste devant l aéroport. L agence est à 5min de route. Retrait du véhicule rapide et précis, personnel aimable et souriant. Une vidéo du véhicule est envoyée par leur soins et ils nous conseillent d en faire une aussi (ce qu il faut toujours faire). De plus ils n hésitent pas à nous donner des recommandations sur l île ! Nous avions opté pour une Kia Picanto, très propre et récente avec caméra de recule et CarPlay. Largement suffisant pour 2 La restitution du véhicule rapide aussi, aucun problème. Et nous avions pu choisi un horaire très tôt le matin hors ouverture de l agence, même si il faut rajouter un supplément c est appréciable. Bref expérience parfaite je recommande !! Merci à vous !

I can write that from the pick-up to the drop-off everything went smoothly, I highly recommend anyone to choose them as rental agency if you plan your trip to Azores for a hustle free and enjoyable experience. Their fleet of cars are well maintained and does enough to drive you through the steep hills. Seat Arona is one of the best options to choose on these roads.

Nice Experience. Staff really kind from the beginning: they always answered patiently to all my questions about the renting before and after its definition and confirmation. So available for any doubts, for your needs to pick up and drop off. So available about paiments (most of the rent in the isle requests credit card or an important deposit). Bianca is so nice, very kind person. She gaves us many tips to visit the isle! If we ll come back there and I hope so. We ll rent with them. Cars in very great conditions and prices are honest.

5 star service, it is easy to communicate with them via WhatsApp and the reservation was simple and quick with no deposit or credit card required. Had a great experience renting from Island Rent. I made sure to book online ahead of time, and they made process easy when I got there. I was able to adjust my reservation as needed, was able to rent a nice automatic Kia Stonic that traveled well on the windy steep roads of Sao Miguel. They were able to pick me up at my hotel to get to the car, and dropped me off at my hotel after dropping the car off. They kept in touch through Whats App. I would use them again, thank you!

I totally recommend this local rental company. They do not require deposit, the process to get and drop the car is easy and the staff is very friendly - I have been served by Bianca and Pedro and both of them were very polite and helpful. They will pick you up form the airport and take to their headquarters located 5 minutes from the airport where the car is handed off - same for the drop-off. The car itself was very good, the company offers basic cleaning so unless you leave unusual dirt, you dont have to worry about cleaning. So just grab your car at IslandRent and enjoy the beautiful island of Sao Miguel!

Excelente empresa para alquilar auto. Muy serios. Te recogen en el aeropuerto y te llevan a sus oficinas que quedan muy cerca del aeropuerto. Alquilamos el coche durante una semana y todo fue perfecto, cero problemas. Tanto la recogida como la entrega del mismo fueron muy rápidas y cuentan con servicio de transferencia del aeropuerto hasta el local. Toda la reserva la hicimos mediante WhatsApp y el pago del coche lo realizamos en el local de alquiler el día de la recogida. Lo recomendamos totalmente y si volvemos a visitar Sao Miguel volveremos a alquilar el coche con ellos.

Excelente, te recogen en el aeropuerto, cuando llegamos ya estaban esperándonos. Luego te llevan a sus instalaciones a 5 minutos de allí, te dan el coche, te explican un poco lo básico y te vas. No tienes que esperar nada ni hacer colas, el coche funcionaba perfecto, estaba limpio y con el tanque de gasolina lleno. Para devolverlo lo dejamos en sus instalaciones, le hacen una revisión rápida y te llevan al aeropuerto. Además te mandan por whatsapp un listado de lugares que visitar, restaurantes, una página web con cámaras para ver el tiempo que hace en el lugar que quieras visitar en tiempo real. Totalmente recomendado, los trabajadores muy agradables.

Simplemente son los mejores y hacen un servicio muy completo. Desde que realizamos la primera consulta para comparar precios y calidades, nos trataron con mucha amabilidad y resolvieron todas nuestras dudas. Siempre tuvimos con IslandRent muy buena comunicación y el día que viajamos a São Miguel nos escribieron para preguntarnos a qué hora llegábamos para irnos a recoger al aeropuerto y llevarnos a su almacén para la entrega del coche. El personal fue muy simpático y amable. Nos contaron cosas de la Ilha, qué podíamos hacer en ella, qué ver, nos explicaron muy bien cómo era el coche, el contrato de alquiler y nos facilitaron un número de WhatsApp para escribirles para cualquier tipo de consulta (tanto de coche como de recomendaciones de la Ilha). Alquilamos un GOLF que iba casi como si lo acabasemos de sacar del concesionario: muy pero que muy bien. A la hora de devolver el coche la misma amabilidad que en la llegada. Sin ningún tipo de dudas, volveremos a São Miguel y volveremos a alquilar en IslandRent. Ambos nos han dejado enamorados! Muito obrigado por todo!

Nous sommes très satisfait. Contrairement à dautres agences, létat des lieux était prêt et clair : on reçoit les photos par mail et la vidéo est déjà faite. On a galéré à corriger nos noms sur le contrat mais avec un peu dacharnement ça a été fait, on frôle le 4/5 à cause du temps perdu mais clairement je recommande quand même ce loueur pour la transparence de létat des lieux, le point noir des autres loueurs parfois / souvent malintentionné.

Un loueur de voiture avec 5 étoiles je trouvais cela louche... Et pourtant cest amplement mérité ! Je nai jamais vu un service aussi agréable, arrangeant, humain... Allez y les yeux fermés

We booked a Kia Picanto with baby seat for 2 weeks. Staff was very kind, the communications was brillant, staff pick up us at the airport without delay and also the drop off was perfect. The car was new 2700 km perfectly cleaned without demage and already set up with our language!

Everything concerning this experience has been absolutely delightful, the companys staff is professional and extremely kind. Best experience, booked a Kia Picanto online, for 4 days, the car was basically brand new, completely worth the price, no deposit needed, the price included the transfer with a shuttle bus from and back to the airport. The colleagues of the company were so nice that when we left something inside the car, they helped us out and brought it to the airport so we wouldn t miss our flight. Thank you so much!

Impeccable service They went above and beyond for us, picking us up from the other side of the city, dropping us off at the airport, tips and tricks for the time spent in Azores, as well as a full set of map overlays with the sights to see here. Il servizio di noleggio è ottimo! Non sono richiesti depositi cauzionali, c è la possibilità di stipulare diversi tipi di assicurazione, le macchine di cui dispongono sono nuove e ben tenute. L agenzia è pochi minuti dall aeroporto, si occupa di accompagnarti dall aeroporto alla loro sede per ritirare la macchina tramite una navetta e viceversa quando è il momento di riconsegnare l auto. Il personale è gentile e presente.

The best car rental agency weve encountered in our lives (yes Im serious). They were very quick to pick us up at the airport, no wait at all for our car, quick return process, and immediately took us back to the airport upon return. We opted for the full coverage and had an incident with minor damage to one side, and they were super helpful and friendly. It cost us nothing extra to handle this. I wish this company was in every city we visit. Heads up, if you will be driving in Ponta Delgada, opt for as narrow a car as you can get. The streets are narrow, parked up with cars, filled with pedestrians, and very busy.

As a traveller, It was probably my first time renting a car without any trouble. Gabriela and Bianca were super responsive and kind through WhatsApp, and they rearranged my contract due to the flight delay. Its the best rental car ever! Pedro, who picked me up at the airport, was smiling, even though the store was already closed and I was the only very late client. We had a new Kia Sportage with a very comfy car seat for our baby.

La location de mon véhicule sest très bien passé. Personnel à lécoute, bureaux très proches de laéroport de Sao Miguel. Aucun problème pour rendre le véhicule. La voiture était en très bon état et jai bénéficié dun surclassement pour le même prix. Je recommande ce loueur !

There is a reason these guys have a 5 star review. They make everything so easy and stress free from start to finish. I contacted them on Facebook, and Pedro responded and answered all my questions. Reservation is via a Google form, with no credit card deposit. The day before, I got a message of Whatsapp and an offer to pick up the car early (the original reservation was for just ~55 hours). We agreed on a new pick up time, and got picked up to go to the rental location. We were on our way quickly after that. IslandRent stayed in touch via WhatApp after that including making sure we had the rental location, a map of gas stations, etc. Drop off was easy and quick, and we got a ride to the airport right away. Highly recommended for your car rental on Sao Miguel.

Jai été très satisfaite de la location de notre voiture par island rent. Nous avons loué une petite voiture, parfaite pour pouvoir circuler sur lile. Je remercie la jeune fille dont jai oublié le prénom pour ses conseils de visite dailleurs ;) . Ils ont même été présent après quand on pensait sêtre fait avoir avec en mettant lessence car le prélèvement ne correspondait pas au montant payé (en nous expliquant que ce nétait pas une arnaque mais un déposit prélevé puis remboursé sur la carte). Je vous conseille cette agence de proximité pour louer, en plus ils sont venus et nous ramené à laéroport une fois la voirure rendue!)

I am glad I found this rental place. It is outside the airport but they provide pick up and drop off. Dont get intimidated by the whats app booking and communication. It is very efficient and the business is legit. Everyone was very helpful especially Bianca F. Love the Azores!!! Get the full insurance offered if you plan on parking/driving around PDL and up the montana! You will need it.

Very good service! We didn t book a car in advance and in airport it was quite a big queue so we searched good price and service around. What I can say in so many years of renting a car it was the best service and effortless experience. We booked via whatsapp and in a few minutes the pick up was here. Everything filled online while waiting for pick up in quick form and the car was ready. Also there was no high deposit demands or other complicated operations Definitely recommend

Top Autovermietung!!! Wir haben uns kurzfristig ein KIA Picanto für eine Woche ohne Probleme gemietet. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei der Fahrzeugübergabe machen die Mitarbeiter ein Video vom Zustand des Fahrzeug (Tankfüllstand, Kratzer, Beulen). Unser Fahrzeug war innen und außen in Top Zustand und sehr sauber. Preislich haben wir 45 Euro für das Auto gezahlt inklusive 5 Euro Teilkaskoversicherung. Die Vermietung gibt es seit 1,5 Jahren. Deshalb noch etwas unbekannter. Wir empfehlen diese weiter und würden uns jederzeit wieder eins mieten.

She even gave me tips on what to see and do on the island. Marco picked us up at our Hotel and brought us to their office where we picked up the car and did paperwork. They were very friendly and professional. When we delivered our car to their iffy they immediately took us to the airport 10 minutes away. Íbamos con desconfianza al no tener página web, reservamos por WhatsApp. Fueron muy atentos preguntando hora de llegada para recogernos en el aeropuerto, cuando aterrizamos nos esperaban para llevarnos a sus instalaciones, firmar el contrato y hacer el pago. Hacen un vídeo previo para ver el estado del coche. Nos dieron varios consejos para nuestro viaje. El coche, un KIA Picanto con 39000 km no era gran cosa, pero la isla no necesita mucho más. Al entregar el coche nos acercaron al aeropuerto también. Muy contentos de haber alquilado con ellos.

Best rental experience ever! Car was in top condition, modern, safe and super clean in and outside. Top price-quality ratio and friendly and smooth communication via WhatsApp. And no prepayment needed. They pick you up from the airport and bring you to your car, where you pay at pick-up. They also give you instructions about driving rules on Sao Miguel and make a video of the car, which they then send you. At drop-off, they then bring you to the airport. Drop-off, overall, took 5 minutes. The personnel was super friendly and offered to help us at any time needed. I would book again with my eyes closed.

Good rental company, good comunication with the staff, they all are very pleasant and know english very well, the car was a good car, the location is very close to the airport, they come and pick you up very fast and the paperwork and delivery of the car is also very fast, overall I had a good experience with this company!

Island Rent is a great company for car renting. No deposit is required. They hired us on the airport with all bags and took to their residence for car. We had full insurace SCDW and there was no problem when we unfortunatelly scratched the car. They react fast and if we turn back to the island Sao Miguel we will definitely hire the car from Island rent again. Highly recommended !

Excellent and easy car rental experience. In particular I want to thank Rodrigo and Filomena, who were both very attentive and flexible. Rodrigo met me on time at the airport, and very kindly shuttled me back to the airport from the rental center since I had accidentally left my passport with my wife. Filomena helped my brother drop his rental car off later than expected (on a Sunday evening!) because his flight was delayed. Everyone was very kind, professional, and transparent. The 2 vehicles we rented were both in great condition and served us perfectly.

When picking up the car, they filmed a video of the state of the car, and also when returning the car, they also re-shot, so if you were a careful driver, then everything will be great! They did not try to withdraw any additional money from us. They were always in touch and ready to help with any questions. We lost the car key (accidentally drowned in the ocean), they helped us out by bringing a new key within an hour after the incident. I recommend this rental service with all my heart! We just rented a Seat Arona for a couple of week. The car was in excellent condition and perfectly cleaned; the fare was the lowest we found in this period; the personell was very kind and also clear on rental terms. They picked-up us at the lodging in Ponta Salgada (thanks Pedro!) and brought to the airport after car return (thanks Rodrigo!). Only issue: still missing the website (but they have been very prompt in responding to enquiries via email, as well as to any other question we had). Absolutely recommended!

We rented a car for 7 days and everything was great. The staff is friendly, they controlled a car with us and sent video for check and for insurance. The car was new, around 25000 kms, it was Kia Picanto. It is good for travelling around Sao Miguel Island. They pickuped from the airport to their office. They have also a night service. We arrived at 12 pm and flight back at 6 in the morning. Absolutely recommended!

No complaints at all! Our car was clean, and it was a modern car which had CarPlay/Android Auto which made navigation easier. They offer lots of manual cars and a couple automatic cars, at great prices. All the staff are very nice as well and always available if you need anything.

Best service, very quickly

A great place to rent a car. The staff guys are very nice, and the process of registering and returning the car took no more than 10 minutes. No deposit required, by the way. They are located near the airport, it is very convenient.

I have taken the car with them, and I am delighted with Rodrigos treatment and the service they have, they pick you up at the airport and take you back, given that the company is outside, only 7 minutes from the airport. You dont have to pay a deposit or anything in advance. Without a doubt, they are recommended. Thank you very much, greetings.

For two times I rented in island rent and the service I get from them (specially from Rodrigo) is amazing. Starting from pickup to the drop off and the 24/7 assistance they re great! The cars I rented were brand new and automatic and were with a spot on cleanliness. I m always telling my friends that are going to azores to always check Island Rent first!

Convenient airport shuttle included in service, 7-seater available to easily carry family of five with luggage, full insurance not cheap but proven effective. I would reuse.
