Buenísima experiencia. Cogimos el coche más barato, un koda Scala, total por 4 días, con seguro a todo riesgo, 135 . Aceptan pago en efectivo, sin necesidad de fianza, todo súper rápido y sencillo. El Sr Antonio nos recogió en el aeropuerto y nos llevó a una oficina para firmar el contrato, le pagamos, y a la vuelta concretamos en el aeropuerto para devolverlo. Súper recomendado.

Majísimo y super profesional, nos esperó en el aeropuerto a pesar de que el vuelo retrasó el desembarque 50 minutos. Estaba puntual para la entrega. Everything you would like to have when renting a car you are getting from them: friendly service, flexibility, convenience when picking up or dropping off the car, a reasonable price, and quality vehicle. This is a family-run business offering excellent, personal service. No lineups, no hassles, just good vehicles and friendly service. We wanted to extend our rental overnight, so I just called the owners cell phone and it was no problem :-) conveniently located in central Ponta Delgada with the vehicles parked right outside the front door. Pick-up took three minutes, drop-off took two minutes. You cant really ask for more.

Very sweet people and great service for a great price. The car had a (potentially) defective clutch - although it was somewhat of a minor issue -, but that aside it was brand new and an overall very good car pricewise. When we contacted the renter about the clutch issue we were left on read - their excuse is that they were on vacation, which did sound true, but does not justify the lack of answer -, so we had to do without a car replacement / check up for the remaining days. Overall pretty good experience.

Hace dos semanas estuvimos en Ponta Delgada y habíamos contratado el alquiler del coche, que nos lo traerían al aeropuerto. Al llegar, nos llevaron un Opel Corsa sin ningún tipo de identificación en lugar visible como coche de alquiler y sinceramente pensamos que era de uso particular de algún empleado. No somos de protestar, pero deberíamos haber reclamado porque hasta el maletero no habría bien. Dejo la foto de una rueda para que se vea, que no es un coche para alquilar. Gracias a que no tuvimos ningún percance, pero muy decepcionadas con el servicio prestado.

Alquilamos nuestro coche con Flor do norte durante nuestros 4 días en la isla de Sao Miguel. A parte del precio tan bueno que nos ofrecieron, fueron puntuales en la recogida y entrega del coche en el aeropuerto, momentos en los que el tiempo no sobra. El coche era un Fiat Panda muy limpio y bien cuidado que nos permitió llegar a los mejores rincones de San Miguel. Empresa familiar y con trato excelente. Totalmente recomendado.

Hemos alquilado un Seat Panda Young (Serie C), un coche pequeño pero perfecto para dar vueltas por la isla. Precio muy económico, si coges el seguro a todo riesgo no hay que dejar depósito. Te dan la posibilidad de pagar en Visa o en efectivo. El chico que nos ha atendido súper amable y muy atento. Muy recomendable.

You wont really find them on the big search engines but the price actually had everything included, it was the most affordable option, and they didnt try and take advantage of me which has been my experience on islands around the world. Best rental car experience ever! Staff was friendly, response and prompt. When we arrived we passed long lines at other rental car companies, but the staff at Flor do Note was waiting with our car ready. We picked up the car, and were on our way in under 10 minutes. They even dropped us off at the terminal on our return!

DON T BOOK!!! It was awful. We booked the car 2 months before and when we arrived at the office it was closed. We call them and they told us that our car was not available. We waited for 3 hours for somebody to come and pick us to take a car from another company. Very bad experience!! They wasted our time and didn t even apologised for that

Nuestra experiencia ha sido positiva, recogimos el coche en la dirección indicada (oficina central de Ponta Delgada), nos lo entregaron sin problema, sin tener que dar un depósito desorbitado como en otros rent a car, que la gran mayoría sí lo pedían. El personal fue amable, nos lo entregaron con el depósito lleno, impecable, limpio y comprobaron antes de la entrega los posibles rasguños que tuviese el coche anteriormente (aún así, yo siempre recomiendo hacer fotos a los desperfectos por lo que pueda pasar después) Nos dieron la facilidad de entregar el coche el último día fuera del horario de apertura de la oficina, lo cual se agradece. Por poner un pero, el coche (como la mayoría de alquiler) suelen tener muy poca potencia y algunas pequeñas cuestas te tocaba subirlas en primera y subía con bastante dificultad, y sonaba un poco raro el motor, pero sin incidencias, para turismo de 7 días ha hecho su función perfectamente.

Minimal formalities, no deposit, full insurance, renting a car in the city took 10 minutes, the ability to return the car at the airport at 5 a.m. without any additional fee - this is something to be appreciated. Definitely a very good place to rent a car!! The booking was made through email, there was no need of deposit but still you had full insurance of the car. The car was clean and well maintained for a really good price. I really recommend that place for renting!!

If you are visiting Azores, rental car is a must. I searched and read a lot on internet which rental company to i should choose. I hesitated between well known international companies and smaller local businesses. After reading reviews i decided to choose Flor de norte in order support local business owners. We rented an automatic car. Price was affordable and it included insurance. No blocking on your card so it an advantage to choose. They have good comminication and always reachable in case of need. I recommend this company.

Fantastic car rental, I am happy I rented a car from them, even they are not listed on popular search engines. You never know how much you can trust a rental until something goes wrong with the car. I got a flat tire around 40mins away from Ponta Delgada, it was raining and some piece of a rock dropped on the road. I tried to replace the wheel with spare, but it didnt fit (front brake caliper was touching it). I called the office, they just said to not worry about anything and came shortly with a replacement car. When I returned the the car at the end they didnt charge me anything extra, even I told them that I should pay them a bit more for a fuel (second car had more petrol in the tank). I will not hesitate to choose them next time I will go to Sao Miguel island, Thank you!

Great car rental! The woman who greeted us, Elsa, was super friendly and showed us around our car, making sure we understand the nuances of it before we took it out. We walked out the airport and down to lot 6 to find their booth and once there all went smoothly. The car itself was great, with no issues at all, and was a life saver throughout the week. A small business when compared to the big car rental companies on the island, but definitely not out of the running. Would definitely rent from them again if we came back to São Miguel.

Booked quite late, so only had a class c car available, which was a seat ibiza. Car was in great condition, only 20,000km on clock. Dealt with Isabell who was super efficient and speaks good English. All very efficient and good price I thought, no hidden extras and no dramas. Would thoroughly recommend and I will use them again if I ever return.

Normal price, just small problem with the car but they were very nice and we got new one. No credit card, no deposit.

I highly recommend Flor do Norte for renting a car on Sao Miguel! This is a family run company -Joao and his parents were friendly and so easy to work with. They made our rental process a breeze. Our rental car was in great condition and the pick up/drop off process was smooth. We picked up our car at the airport from Joao and chose to drop it off at the office location in Ponta Delgada due to an early morning flight the next day.

Nos ha ido bien. Un momento muy cara para alquilar coche y echar gasolina. En lugar de toda la semana lo hemos alquilado 3 días, y el resto, entre tours, y autobús público todo ha encajado.

I have traveled to many different countries and rented from all the big name rental companies. Flor do Norte was by far the best rental experience. This is a family run operation and everyone is super friendly and kind. We were initially greeted by the owner s father and he was the sweetest man. This location has the best prices on the island and the rental process only took 10-15 minutes from walking in the door to keys in hand (without a reservation no less!). They have around 50 vehicles and they personally know each car very well. My wife and I opted for an automatic transmission due to all the hills here and it performed very well. When I went to get fuel at a local gas station, there was a Flor do Norte employee that happened to be nearby. He saw that I was not familiar with the fuel pumps here from across the street, he introduced himself and helped me get started. I will definitely use Flor do Norte again if we return to the island!

Nette kleine Autovermietung. Wir haben vor Ort einen Mietwagen für den nächsten Tag reserviert und wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Das Auto war zwar schon etwas älter, aber der Innenraum war tadellos sauber. Die Rückgabe am Flughafen verlief auch völlig problemlos. Es gab keine bösen Überraschungen oder irgendwelche zusätzlichen Kosten. Ich kann diese Autovermietung wirklich jedem empfehlen.

We rented a car and got a very good car (Opel Corsa)and very good price. No deposit or Creditcard requierd, no hidden costs. When we had a question they answerd the phone immediatly. We can certainly recomment Flor do Norte.

No doubt I will use their service again once I come back to the island. The friendliest service, easy communication via email and the best prices we found nearby. Everything was simple and clear without pages long conditions. No deposit was needed, and we could even pay with debit card. The pickup was smooth and easy, the car was waiting for us in the parking lot P6, after a short administration, they even briefly explained its features and gave us some tips for our journey. Although the first car we received had a battery issue, they did not hesitate to hand us a better replacement right away. We loved our little Fiat Panda hybrid we had for 5 days, it was fast and powerful enough to climb all the hills we faced, and could fit into every small parking places. Amazing service, and highly recommended! Thank you everything!:)

Cuando viajo fuera, antes de decidirme por una empresa de alquiler en concreto, suelo comparar bastante entre todas las opciones y desde luego revisar los comentarios antes de decantarme por una. Y he de decir que si vuelvo a alquilar en Sao Miguel, Azores, volveré a hacerlo sin dudas con Flor do Norte. Por la garantía que te dan, no te piden tarjeta de crédito ni te exigen un depósito. Por la comunicación, quedamos por email y luego por wasap para la retirada y entrega del vehículo. Por el precio, supercompetitivo. Alquilamos un Opel Karl de gasolina. Que para dos personas se ha comportado perfectamente. Pero sobre todas las cosas, la atención prestada por Isabel. Gran profesional y excelente persona. Tuvo el detalle de recogernos el primer día en la misma puerta de llegadas del aeropuerto lloviendo a cantaros que estaba. Y el día de vuelta, tuve un descuido y me dejé el movil en el coche de alquiler cuando lo entregué. Y fue llamarla y de inmediato se volvió a entregárnoslo. MUCHAS MUCHAS GRACIAS POR TODO!!

Trato y servicio de 10. Nos dieron el coche en el aeropuerto y nos dejaron depositarlo en el mismo parking el día de nuestro vuelo, por lo que todo fueron comodidades. El coche estaba en perfecto estado y pudimos hacer toda la isla con muy poca gasolina. Booked a month in advance and they just cancelled without a single call because they claimed I was an hour late. Not only I called their office to inform that I would pick up the car later but no one picked up, but I wasnt even 1 hour late yet. The minimum they could have done was to call and make sure the client is not coming. On top of that the employee acted like she was right all along and did not once admitted their mistake. Very disappointed given the reviews that I read.

Todo perfecto, no hemos tenido ningún problema. Una ventaja es que no hay que dejar dinero de depósito, disponen de vehículos básicos que sirven para explorar toda la isla perfectamente. En mi caso, Renault Twingo. Buen trato y magnífica comunicación con la agencia. Excelente y 100% recomendable.

Mejor rent a car de la isla sin duda. Flor do Norte es una empresa familiar con los mejores precios y la mejor atención de Sao Miguel. Sin duda repetiríamos! Tuvimos que estar dos días sin salir de la habitación del hotel, a la espera de los resultados del Covid-19 y no pudimos coger el coche el día que lo teníamos reservado. Quedamos con Tony en cuanto nos dijeron que todo estaba bien y enseguida indicaron que no nos iban a cobrar los días que no habíamos podido recoger el coche. Al final decidimos alargar nuestra estancia en la isla y pudimos quedarnos con el coche más días sin problema. En muchos rent a car piden fianza y en Flor do Norte no! Y además el precio del alquiler con cobertura total es genial. Elegimos un vehículo del grupo A, un Opel pequeñito más que suficiente para recorrer la isla, perfecto de aparcar y además gastaba bastante poco. En cuanto al tema del coronavirus, la entrega fue con mascarilla y el coche estaba muy limpio, todo perfecto. We would love to repeat! We had to stay two days in the hotel s room due to the Covid-19 test results and we could not get the car the day we had reserved it. We met Tony whenever we knew everything was okay and he told us we did not have to pay for the days we could not get the car. We decided to stay a few more days to enjoy the island and we they allowed us to have the car for 3 more days without any problem. Almost all rent a cars ask for a big deposit, Flor do Norte doesn t! The price with full coverage was with difference the best. We choosed a group A car, it was a smart Opel which allowed us to explore all the island on our own. It was perfect for parking and economical on fuel. As for the Covid-19, Tony and us wore face masks when we met and the car was very clean, everything perfect. Thanks again for making our stay easier, we will come back!

Ótima escolha. Só estávamos um dia na ilha de São Miguel e foi bem simples adquirir carro de modo a visitar o máximo. Os autocarros tem poucos horários e não dão a liberdade de ter carro. Atendimento espetacular e permitiram entregar o carro no aeroporto. Recomendo!

Very decent and trustworthy local car rental office. The models for rent are not high power premium cars, but its good value for money. Like the Opel Corsa weve rented was basic and definitely not new, but did the job at a very reasonable price. Pick-up and drop-off (at the airport) went fast and very smoothly, even at midnight (thank you Tony!).

Fantástico trato y servicio. Alquilamos un Opel Karl, es un coche pequeñito pero perfecto para la isla, se aparca fácilmente y consume muy poco. El precio de los más competitivos y sin depósito, nos dejaron devolver el coche en el aeropuerto para no tener que tomar un taxi el día que nos íbamos. Lo recomiendo sin duda.

Flor do Norte était le seul loueur à offrir une voiture à un prix raisonnable pour 24h. Tony est venu nous chercher à laéroport à lheure prévue. La voiture nétait plus toute neuve mais elle a fait laffaire et nous navons eu aucune surprise au retour, ni frais supplémentaire. Bref, je recommande.

Ive rented from this company at two occasions now, both times has been very pleasant. The service is great, They are one of the cheaper rentals on the island (30$ for two days) The cars are very clean, the Ford has bluetooth for music and a built in phone holder, so you can use your phones GPS. I will definitely come back here during my 6 month stay :)

Gran servicio y amabilidad. Nuestro vuelo llego tarde y ademas tuvimos que esperar cerca de una hora a que nos hiciesen el test PCR, aun asi nos estuvieron esperando todo el tiempo con el coche preparado hasta que terminamos. La devolucion fue igual de facil en el aeropuerto. Cuando volvamos a Sao Miguel volveremos a confiar en ellos sin duda!

We had a very good experience with this company. Fast comunication, pick up and drop off at the airport at night time. Car was clean and in a good condition, not completely new but well maintained. Good prices compared to other companies - even with full insurance the price is still affordable and you dont have to stress that someone will try to charge you for scratches you even didnt make - drop off took no more that 2 minutes. Tony from Flor do Norte was very kind and helpful.

Tony and his team are most caring, helpful and friendly. There was not a single issue with anything. We did a tour of different car companies before sticking with this one. Because it is just the cheapest by far. They dont charge hidden fees, the insurance is clean and they have good and clean cars on offer. Dont waste any time checking other car prices because they are at least twice as expensive. Cant recommend this one enough! Thanks again Tony!

We had a fantastic experience renting a car with Flor do Norte for our long-term stay on São Miguel (2 months). We did extensive research on car rental before the trip (as its really a must when exploring the island), and they offered the most affordable and generous terms by far. There were no hidden costs, the insurance was included, and there were no difficult deposits to deal with. The pick-up and drop-off processes were very smooth and friendly. The car we received was definitely in a used state, but this didnt bother us.

All the positive reviews are legitimate, if you visit Sao Miguel, rent a car with this company. The service is outstanding and you wont get a better price deal elsewhere. As an extra benefit, Tony also rents to those whom have a driving license <1 year, which no other company on the island does. We rented the car for 12 days, Tony picked us up at the airport on our day of arrival. The car was in a good state and carried us everywhere throughout our trip. On the day we left, we had to catch a flight at 6 am in the morning. Tony came to the city center in the middle of the night to pick up the car and to drop us off at the airport. Such service is hard to come by. We paid 260 for the full 12 days including insurance. There are no hidden charges. This is a gem of a company and I truly wish Tony and his team all the best.
