We rented 2 cross country bikes. The service operator was very helpful with explaining everything and flexible with bike return times so we could extend our island exploration without time limit pressure.

Based on the reviews, I decided to rent my bike here, and I am so glad I did. Marcos's hospitality is exceptional. He is friendly and assisted me in planning my bike tour. I visited Caloura and the first small private beach he recommended was amazing. Unfortunately, the cozy coffee place was closed on Tuesday, but I still enjoyed the view immensely.

Open doors and OPEN cyclist’ HUG; Marcos indeed made my day! He granted me with the BEST bike I’ve ever rented and I had a wonderful time cycling around the city and by the seaside. Marcos explained and offered recommendations while he also made himself available on WhatsApp in case something goes wrong. Thanks to his guidance and intention to help and support me, I had the chance to go to the west and to the east and both routes were just awesome! I got in love with the bike; it was well-maintained, and super comfy to create a hassle-free and enjoyable cycling experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt the friendliness and the warm welcome by a local. We called different places to request a price for bike rental. We chose this one because in addition to good quality-price, Marcos treated us warmly and offered us information about the possible routes to take according to the level, the weather and the time available. We really enjoyed a 20km country road to Caloura, with the instructions that Marcos offered us. It is appreciated to find local people who lovingly transmit everything that the destination has to offer. I recommend it 100% :)

I would really recommend renting here. Marcos is really helpful he gave us recommandations about what ways to go. We rented a bike for a few hours and took the route of the seaside. It's quite easy to ride the bicycle because of the great roads of Sao Miguel, the cars are really cautious driving next to you. Next time I would be renting for a longer period. The have a lot of different bicycles as well. We've rented bicycles a lot but this was the most friendly service we ever gotten. Marcos thanks for the great service, wish you guys a busy season ✨

Marcos was fantastic! We got three adult bikes that were very comfy and he provided an electric pump for the tires just in case. We did have to go elsewhere for a bike for our 9-year-old (they are working to get kid-sized bikes), but Open Door prices and service were much better than the competitors. Highly recommend!
