I rented through Enterprise, which Guerin is affiliated with, for the booking convenience and loyalty (the Azores-based rental car sites are a bit hard to navigate) and was able to buy the extra insurance, which is something I never opt for in the U.S., but everything I read in advance suggested it was the way to go in the Azores. When I picked up the car at the Ponta Delgado airport, I was told I hadn't bought the insurance and after a little bit of back of back and forth it was clear nothing was going to be resolved in realtime and after the long trip with the family in tow, I figured I'd deal with it after the trip. So I signed and we went on our way. I was in touch with Enterprise after the trip and at one point I got someone live on the other end of the line to acknowledge the double charge and that's as far as it went. They said they'd look into it further. Long-ish story short--looking into it further resulted in Enterprise saying I should take it up with Guerin directly. And you can imagine how fruitful that was. "We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and we will reunite all the efforts for situations like that won’t happen again." Um, yeah... $250 needlessly set ablaze. Would've been better spent on green wine. The rental itself was fine. Pickup and drop-off was easy. Having the extra insurance probably helped to make the drop-off easy too (less scrutiny on potential damage, not that we created any reason for scrutiny). And it was nice to drive a manual on those roads. #savethemanuals
This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with any rental car agency in the world. When I reserved the car, I reserved an upgraded more expensive car. When we picked up the car, it was a piece of crap. It was ancient, had multiple damage points, all hubcaps missing and smelled terrible. It was so underpowered, we could only climb the hills in 1st gear!! And this was not the cheapest rental car agency at the airport! It was in the upper 30% for cost. All I can say is the positive reviews must have been due to rewards provided to the reviewers!! I would highly recommend using a different rental car company.
Good decent car hire. No complaints. Car was clean and in good order. Some bodywork damage but after driving here for a day I am not surprised lol. Damage most likely down to other road users, most likely locals. All in all would use again.
Overall satisfied by this car rental company. The staff was friendly despite our late arrival and the other customers waiting. They first upgraded our reservation for a larger car (without extra charge): we shouldn't accept it: the Ford Puma was really bad to drive... Poor engine and likely damaged by a previous customer. So we came back to change the car for another one which made us waste some time... The other car was okay, although it was lacking windshield liquid...

I don’t understand the good ratings given to this airport. I’ve been here four times now for both local and international flights, and EVERY TIME the flights have been significantly delayed - Pico, Lisbon, Boston; in-season and off-season. Not just my flights but others too. The weather on my most recent trip was picture perfect both here and in the destination airport. The airport itself is small but seems adequate for the Azores . . . unless you are stranded here for 6+ hours like I’ve been twice . . . then it is miserable. There are two tiny (expensive!) food shops, a duty free, and some adequate space upstairs. Internet access seems adequate as well. So do not have high expectations when coming here. Maybe I’m a bit angry after the 4th flight in a row was delayed, but these are the complaints also heard by locals and tourists. Just giving fair warning to expect disappointment.
I have no words to describe how nice, professional and extremely helpful the service was. If you want to rent a car without a credit card, this rental company provides such services. We got a Nissan Juke in very transparent conditions. I heartily recommend, quality at the highest level <3
At the last minute, we stumbled upon Guerin car rental services at the airport and were pleased to find that they offered automatic cars. The best part was that we didn't need a credit card to make a deposit and could do so with a debit card instead. Overall, the service was excellent. Thank you.

Hassle free experience if you get their insurance -- I had a one day rental so I figured why not, but I dont know how closely the nitpicking could have been if I didnt do so.
Staff simpático e prestável. Atendimento rápido e descomplicado. O carro fornecido,um clio, estava em bom estado e tinha GPS incorporado o que deu um jeito enorme para passear na ilha de s. Miguel. A entrega do carro também foi rápida e sem complicações.

Incapable de louer une voiture sur le site web de Guerin, ça ne fonctionne pas. J ai demandé de l aide à plusieurs reprises auprès du service client et je n ai eu de réponse.
Nos dieron un coche con hormigas por lo que al día siguiente no paraban de salir y tuvimos que ir a cambiarlo. Nos hicimos el trayecto no por gusto y nos hicieron pagar 10 por la gasolina usada (cosa que nos pareció fea ya que cambiamos el coche por un problema suyo). La atención y el servicio fue bueno, aunque mejoraría tener ese tipo de detalles con el cliente cuando el vehículo tiene un problema culpa de la compañía.
Atención muy rápida al llegar y coger el coche, todo bien exceptuando que una vez recogido el coche e ir al alojamiento nos dimos cuenta de que habían hormigas. La mañana siguiente al subir para empezar el día vimos que no paraban de salir así que nos dirigimos a Guerin de nuevo para explicarlo y que nos dieran otro. Fue todo sin problemas el cambio de coche, pero nos hicieron pagar la gasolina de ida y vuelta del alojamiento a la compañía cuando no fue utilizada por disfrute y solo por un problema de ellos, un detalle un poco feo.

Alquilamos un coche para 7 días. Al recibirlo notamos varios golpes y arañazos, y decidimos hacer fotos uno por uno, ya que queríamos evitarnos problemas al devolverlo. El coche bien, aunque no tiraba demasiado en las cuestas para haber pagado 1000 euros por una semana y una fianza de otros 1000. Al devolverlo, empieza a revisar el coche y estaba todo bien, con lo que contabamos puesto que no habiamos tenido ningún golpe/choque/roce, y de repente se tumba específicamente en un bajo del lateral de coche y dice que hay una abolladura, que tuvimos que poner el móvil y hacer una foto debajo del coche para verla porque a simple vista era imposible de apreciar, y que en su sistema eso no aparecía, por tanto si no teníamos foto de que estuviese antes, había que abonar 108 euros, precio por supuesto puesto a ojo sin tasar el daño ni absolutamente nada. Honestamente, después de mi experiencia propia y de las opiniones que he leído similares a la mia, creo que despues de cobrarte un precio altisimo por el coche, siempre encuentran algún rasguño para cobrarte más. Por lo menos aseguraros de fotografiar y grabar absolutamente todo, hasta la rueda de repuesto y el coche por debajo para luego no llevarte sustos.
No segmento Clio ou similar foi-nos atribuido um Citoren C3. Este carro não tinha potência para as subidas da ilha (situação reconhecida pela própria funcionária da Guerin), com pouca segurança e conforto. A expectativa era de um Clio ou similar. A expectativa não foi de todo cumprida. Muito abaixo das prestações e conforto de um Renault Clio.
Everything was great but I got charged 111.20 euros for this scratch on the rim. Is that normal here?
Prise en charge rapide. Véhicule récent. Seul bémol les essuies glaces usagés et les pneus à l usure limite. Personnel serviable. Retour sans mauvaise surprise et très rapide.

Ideal car rental company. Smart and fast self check-in via terminals (long queues at other rental companies). Handover and briefing also went very quickly. We had a defect on our vehicle and within 15 minutes we were provided with a replacement car.
Top! Das Check-In per Automat ist super easy. Unser Auto, ein Audi A1, war in einem tadellosen Zustand. Auch die Rückgabe verlief ohne Probleme. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter!

Absolut Top. Wir haben in Österreich über Öamtc gebucht. Unser Auto war ein Nissan Qashqai. Das Auto war in einem 1A Zustand. Die Komplette Abwicklung war total freundlich und extrem unproblematisch. Wir haben nichts bereut. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Très bien, Jai appelé lentreprise avant notre séjour afin quil noté notre numéro de vol et puisse nous attendre jusquà 00h30. Accueil parfait, cordiale et rapide. Voiture avec des rayures mais en très bon état intérieur. Retour rapide également.
Sehr einfache smarte und moderne Autovermietung mit sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern, fairen Preisen und Bedingungen, man versuchte uns nichts extra anzudrehen und durch die flexible Rückgabe auch außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten perfekt. Nichts auszusetzen.
I called them only one night in advance to reserve an automatic car. All the other car rental providers were not being cooperative in such short notice but Guerin came through. I had to wait for a bit for them to get the car ready for me when I arrived in the morning but I was able to get it without any issues and the price was reasonable given the last minute booking. They did not try to upsell me on any insurance and were very accommodating throughout the whole process (if anybody is curious, the reason their insurance doesnt cover the car roof or bottom is that theyve had people literally jumping on their car roofs and damaging them or driving them over rocky roads damaging the undercarriage). I greatly appreciate their help and would definitely consider renting from them again.

Great airport to start your Azorean vacation
Exceptional service from start to finish. I received a new Ford Focus and it was probably one of the best cars I ve ever rented/drove. It was smooth, fast, accelerated perfectly on steep inclines, and handled all of the off-roading without issues. Unfortunately, I had an accident on the second day of my vacation; cosmetic only. I brought the car back the following day to have it inspected. I was immediately assisted by an employee who was so sweet and reassuring about the whole situation. She made sure I would have all of the documentation needed to submit to my personal insurance for reimbursement and ensured that everything would be in line the morning I came in to return my vehicle so that I wouldn t miss my flight. Returning the vehicle was quick and seamless. Again, everyone was super helpful. In a very stressful situation their kindness helped alleviate some of my worries. I will definitely rent from them again if I have the option.

My car was ready when I arrived. Especially liked dealing with Gabriella. She was quick and efficient and friendly.
I booked a car in advance. My preliminary reservation was confirmed. Afterwards I asked a question about payment and they independently canceled my reservation under a formal pretext. Now they can t restore my reservation and have decided to book again, BUT AT A PRICE 2.5-3 TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE!. Not a reliable company, they can ruin your plans at any time without asking you. Its a pity that you cant give 0 stars!

A la réception de la voiture nous navons pas fait détat des lieux contradictoire. La personne qui nous a remis les clefs nous a simplement dit de faire des photos si on voyait quelque chose. A minuit, sous la pluie, nous ne voyons rien de particulier. Au retour de la voiture, la personne constate des érrafflures sous le parechoc avant (quon ne peut voir quen se penchant sous la voiture). Je suis certain de navoir rien touché et je nai conduit que sur des routes goudronnées. La personne nous indique que lintégralité du dépôt de garantie sera retenue mais que nous pouvons faire une réclamation... réclamation que jai faite dès le lendemain (il fallait la faire dans les 24h) et qui est naturellement restée sans réponse. Inutile de préciser que je navais pas pris lassurance proposée par le loueur, sinon je ne doute pas que les errafflures que je nai pas causées seraient restées invisibles. Cest la première fois que je suis confronté à ce type de problème avec un loueur de voiture malgré leur mauvaise réputation qui se confirme pourtant avec cette entreprise. Conclusion jai perdu 300 euros pour des dommages dont je ne suis pas responsable. Un conseil : demandez un état des lieux avec la personne qui vous remet les clefs et une bonne lampe si vous arrivez de nuit.

Bem, uma experiência rara em aluguer de automoveis, depois de chegar ao aeroporto e fazer uma simulacao na Sixt (350 ) 5 dias , fui fazer uma simulacao na Guerin dos mesmo dias e o valor foi de 188 pelos mesmos 5 dias com um Nissan Juke completamente como novo e super equipado! Nem pensei mais e aceitei , sem tentativas de vendas de seguros extras ,e só 300 de franquia no cartão... em poucos minutos estava a sair do aeroporto de carro. Funcionario super simpaticos tanto na recepcao como na entrega da viatura. Top top top Continuem assim !
Second time I have rented with Guerin in Ponta Delgada and they keep surprising me. Super friendly, cars in great shape and they dont try to scam anyone. All in all they are pretty transparent with the customer (I have worked in the industry, therefore I can say that). Keep doing the great job, other car rental companies should be like you. Wir haben schon viele Autos gemietet, doch diese Station war mit großem Abstand die beste! Ausgesprochen freundliches Personal vor Ort, mit denen man nett ins Gespräch kam, über die Autovermietung hinaus. Das Auto war in bestem Zustand, alle Funktionen wurden uns gut erklärt (wann hab ich das mal erlebt?) und Tipps für die Insel gab es obendrein. Herzlichen Dank für diesen großartigen Service!

Clean car and good insurance. They waited till 2 a.m in the morning because our flight was delayed and they were super friendly! It was such an good experience!
VORSICHT! Man benötigt über 1000 Kreditkarten Limit (was man im Urlaub natürlich immer hat wenn man schon 7 Apartments, 4 Auto Vermietungen und 58 lokal besuche hinter sich hat) um das Auto zu mieten. Man kann natürlich mehr zahlen, für irgendeinen Zusatz Bonus, keine Ahnung was, dann ginge es natürlich. Einfach nur abzocke. Nie wieder. Lieber ein paar Euro mehr bei namhaften Autovermietungen zahlen um sich so einen Ärger bereits beim ankommen zu sparen.

Bon accueil, peu dattente pour récupérer la voiture, staff sympathique et honnête. Voiture récente et propre (Clio). Quand nous avons rendu la voiture en journée, cétait rapide et le staff était très gentil. RAS, cétait parfait.
The car they gave us, adequately sized, started smelling wrong after 30 minutes driving to Sete Cidades, we let it cool and then continued. After the days trip, while coming back to Ponta Delgada a warning light turned on, smell had not faded during that time. We head back to Guerin for them to check the car. We were received by a very efficient and kind staff member from their team. We got our car changed to one a little smaller, which had a fault on the rearview mirror. They changed this one again to make sure everything would be perfect on the new car and so it was. We finished our trip in that car. All this odyssey was made far better by the kind and diligent support of Pedro Pereira, who did help us with a smile on his face all the time. His work did raise this review from a 3 to a 4.
Bonne expérience avec ce loueur. Prise en main rapide. Voiture (c4) en bon état et bien équipée et avec un kilométrage correct. Lors de la prise en main, il y avait quelques dégâts de carrosserie (non noté sur le contrat) mais aucune remarque lors du retour. Dans tous les cas, quelque soit le loueur, le pays, lheure, faire une vidéo de lensemble du véhicule en commençant par le compteur de km... ca évite certaines discussions inutiles à la fin.
Vraiment surpris par la gentillesse et la qualité de service, nous avons réservé via le site carjet et cette location était parfaite, un véhicule récent check in et check out très rapide avec une caution vraiment basse et le stationnement face à aux portes de laéroport on peut difficilement faire mieux jai même reçu un SMS la veille pour lemplacement de la station essence la plus proche de laéroport pour méviter de chercher Vraiment très satisfait
Un personnel sympathique et arrangeant qui donne aussi de bons conseils pour visiter l île. N hésitez pas à discuter avec eux !
I cannot describe how thankful i am to have rented a car with this company! After our holidays were over, we went back home, when suddenly i realised that i had forgotten my camera under the seat of my rental car! Back home in Belgium i called the Guerin office at Ponta Delgada airport. The responsible for the car pick-up, Pedro Quebru, immediately went looking after our car and retrieved my camera in the vehicle. They kept the camera at their office in the airport, until a week later, my daughters friend was able to pick it up there and bring it back home with her flight. All in all a story with a happy end, thanks to the honesty and top service of their personnel!

The staff was super welcoming and accommodating to my needs (thanks to the amazing lady whose name I unfortunately do not know) - easy and quick procedure, and they were even so kind to run after me into the airport with the camera that I had accidentally left in the car Super recommended
I chose the wrong booking time and could not get my money back. Also, only after I confirmed the booking I was told that I had to pay a 1900 deposit, after which I realized that I could not finally pick up the car. The customer service told me that I would be charged +100% late fee and that I could not get my money back. I will advise all my friends never to use this company. I am very indignant.

Guerin charged me for plastic wheel covers that were obviously not properly fixed. There is a reason why you dont see rental cars with these, due to the likelihood of detachment, or being stolen. The customer loses because even though they were already warn-out, of ourse they will charge you new ones. This is a great way of adding add-on costs. If you decide to rent from Guerin, make sure you car does not have these... If they reply to your e-mails, which they didnt.
Estou insatisfeito com a cobrança de 400 euros por danos ao carro durante minha locação. A inspeção inicial foi feita em condições precárias, sem luz- usamos o flashlight do telemovel do funcionário, enquanto na devolução a inspeção foi feita por baixo de una platoforma com luzes. Na devolução, notamos um veículo idêntico com danos semelhantes. O funcionário sugeriu um possível defeito, mas fui cobrado mesmo assim. Não houve incidente durante minha estadia de seis dias. A discrepância na inspeção e a presença de outro carro com danos similares levantam dúvidas sobre a integridade do processo de avaliação de danos. Espero uma resolução justa e a revisão da cobrança indevida. Fiquei desapontado com a falta de transparência e justiça no tratamento dos clientes. Update: Have sent four emails and called multiple times in the past three weeks and have not received a response. Nonexistent customer service. Their Portugal office does not staff customer service employees, call only goes through when you select reservations, otherwise it gets dropped. Very disappointing experience so far
They do not accept American credit cards. I flew to the Island today and could not take my pre-booked car (( no other solutions the company could offer)
Be very careful and take detailed pictures of your rental car before you drive away. We were charged for a small scratch on a rim that we did not cause.
Actually the best car rental company ever! I travel full time as a nomad and I m yet to find as good a car rental company as this one. Beatriz and Isabell were fabulous, they made everything hassle free, provided local tips and were just genuinely great people. Something that is now very hard to find in the rental car industry. I ll certainly be booking with them again on my next visit to Sao Miguel. They have brand new cars with low mileage, unlike some of the beaten up cars from companies such as Ilha Verde. Pro tip: Book direct so you don t need to return to the airport to extend. I spent a month on the Island and used 2 other companies before, which were both terrible.
Friendly employees, quick delivery with almost no queues. Nobody tried to sell additional stuff and also had a small upgrade. No issues when returning the car.
Guerin were brilliant and we had one of the most stress free car hires ever. The two employees we dealt with were very friendly and professional. The pick up and return were hassle free. There was no hard sell on extras and the fuel policy was very clear. Highly recommend.

We rented SEAT Leon, 225 EUR for 3 days. Very economical and agile car, appropriate for steep roads of Sao Miguels (sometimes roads are so steep you have to grind with 2nd gear, but the car handled all conditions very good). Initial procedure at reception was quite fast. Returning the car was even faster - we just left the keys and were asked if everything is ok. After hour or so safety deposit was returned to my credit card. Hope Ill have the possibility to rent at Guerin in the future!
Probably the best car hire experience Ive ever head. Friendly, professional and helpful personnel. Due to flight reschedules and additional flight delays, the employee had to wait for me two hours outside working hours (after midnight); nevertheless he smiled all the time, explained everything clearly and he was very patient when we rechecked twice all the scratches that the car already had. The check-out experience was also great and I had no problems at all. The deposit was back in my account in 2 days. Very good prices and the car was ok. Highly recommended. Im sorry I couldnt give more than five stars.

Posiblemente el peor rent a car que he alquilado nunca primero al llegar nos encontramos la sorpresa que quieres otro seguro de 170 a los 500 aprox que nos costó el coche por una semana , Segundo nos dan un coche que apencas tiene fuerza lo que me me hace pensar que están limitados ya que el coche era nuevo y tercero al llegar al aeropuerto nos dicen que tenemos que limpiar el interior del coche o nos lo cobran.desde cuando hay que limpiar un coche de alquiler por el que casi hemos pagado 700 de locos lo dicho pensarlo antes de elegir este rent a car
Habe im letzten Urlaub bei Guerin Ponta Delgada Airport gemietet. Die Mitarbeiter am Flughafen waren ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit, und haben nicht versucht, mir zusätzliche Versicherungen oder Extras aufzudrängen. Der vereinbarte Preis wurde genau eingehalten. Das Auto selbst war in sehr gutem Zustand, fast neu, wenig Kilometer und sehr gut gewartet. Fahrzeugreinigung und Desinfektion gegen Covid19 perfekt! Innenraum wie neu! Und... die Reifen waren in sehr gutem Zustand mit viel Profil Beim Mitbewerb wurde der Zustand der Reifen in vielen Bewertungen beanstandet. Im November, wenn es manchmal auch regnet und die Straßen nass sind, ist das ein großes Plus. Die Rückgabe war ebenso freundlich, schnell erledigt, und ohne Beanstandungen. Es wurde nicht nach minimalen Mängeln gesucht wie bei anderen Mietwagenanbietern oft. Ich habe auch für den kommenden Urlaub wieder bei Guerin reserviert und kann den Anbieter empfehlen!
Experiencia rent a car con Guerin excelente. Tuvimos un problema con una reserva con otra compañía de alquiler de coche. Nos querían cobrar mucho más de lo que ya habíamos reservado, resultado no nos querían dar el coche por el precio pactado en la reserva. Era de noche y Guerin (mostrador de al lado en el aeropuerto) nos solucionaron el problema. Carolina ha sido encantadora y súper profesional. Excellent experience with a great selection of car. Staff was very friendly, pickup and drop off went very smoothly. Deposit was unlocked one day after the drop off (which is super rare for other rental car companies). We can only recommend this company! Obrigada! :)
Wow, we are so happy we have chosen them! Our plane arrived late at night and we just went to this counter, just 15 minutes later a friendly emplyee handed us the key to a brand new SUV that fit the whole family and was a good choice for the streets on this island. A week late we just dropped off the key and that was it. Couldn´t have been easier!

They are pretending to be nice but will charge you crazy price for minar damages. Someone stoll from us the rear wiper at night and they charged us 150 euros!!!!!! This is madness! The price not supposed to be more than 20 euros!

Al recoger el coche nos ofrecieron varios seguros con precios abusivos, muchos de ellos inutiles y los que realmente eliminaban la franquicia, duplicaban el precio del alquiler del vehiculo. Tras más de diez años alquilando coches y sin ningún problema y siendo temporada baja en la isla decidí no coger seguro ya que la probabilidad de sufrir un accidente era bastante baja. Mala suerte cuando la última mañana de nuestra estancia en la isla, al recoger el coche del aparcamiento nos encontramos con una raja de unos 3 cm en el parachoques trasero, sin ningún rasgo de abolladura y sin ninguna nota. Tras consultar con algunos mecanicos, presupuestaron la reparacion en 200 y en el caso de ser necesaria la sustitucion completa de la pieza, 360 , lo cual estaba dispuesto a asumir. Al hacer el check-in y devolver el vehiculo les explique lo ocurrido y me pasaron con la oficina del aeropuerto donde nos atendió una chica que estaba mas preocupada por seguir con su instagram que de ayudarnos con el problema. Me cobraron un total de más de 740 , no se realizó una estimacion detallada de la reparacion, la solicite y no me la quisieron proporcionar, no me dieron ningun documento detallando de la averia, y no me proporcionaron ningun documento justificativo de ese precio tan abusivo que cargaron directamente en la cuenta sin mi consentimiento. De vuelta he consultado de nuevo los precios de la reparación más posibles gastos administrativos y de inmovilización del vehiculo y en ningun caso superan los 400 , por lo que se puede afirmar la userería y politica abusiva de precios de esta compañía. No la recomiendo bajo ningún concepto.
Apesar da reserva da viatura ter sido feita através da Booking (e respetivo seguro), o processo para levantar a viatura foi bastante rápido, sem nos impingirem nenhum serviço adicional ao contratado. Prolonguei o aluguer ao balcão e não podia ter ficado mais satisfeita com as condições e atendimento. A entrega da viatura foi super simples, apesar de o balcão se encontrar fechado àquela hora, há uma caixa para entrega da chave. Ao fim de dois dias o depósito de segurança foi devolvido. Recomendo vivamente.

Péssimo. Cobraram por um dano que já existia, infelizmente o reporte fotográfico não tinha qualidade/resolução suficiente para conseguir dizer que o dano já existia (porque era minúsculo). As escovas estavam em péssimo estado, a terceira mudança entrava mal e o tapete tivemos que retirar logo porque enrolava debaixo dos pés. Não recomendo.

La experiencia malísima.una vez que voy a recoger el coche me dicen que si tengo seguro y lógicamente le había sacado un seguro pues aún así me dicen que aunque tenga seguro cualquier daño sea culpa mía o no,me quitan de mi tarjeta de crédito el daño del vehículo a no ser que saque otro seguro con ellos a un precio muy elevado todo esto me lo dicen una vez que ya estoy en la oficina porque si me lo informan antes anuló mi reserva,,al entregar el coche dejo las llaves en el buzón porque la oficina por la noche no está abierta y al día siguiente cuando ya he vuelto a mi país me dicen que me retiran 200euros del depósito que deje que fueron 300euros lo que me pedían,por un arañacito en dos ruedas y que eso tiene un valor de 200euros me parece de risa y un precio muy elevado hay adjunto las fotos que me han mandado ellos

Muy buenos profesionales y una excelente atención. Llegamos al aeropuerto de Ponta Delgada con una reserva para un coche de la compañía GoldCar y absolutamente nefasto sin venir al caso nos querían cobrar un plus de 199 euros por ser menor de 25 años cuando ya teníamos más de 4 años de carné de conducir. El caso es que tuvimos que anular esa reserva y acudimos a Guerin y el trato fue excelente y de una forma súper rápida conseguimos un vehículo en perfecto estado con un depósito de fianza adecuado y no excesivamente elevado y en 2 días después de la devolución del coche el depósito fue reembolsado. 100% recomendable.
Guerin were a real pleasure to hire a car from. I hired a car in January for just 4 days. Their office is easy to find at the airport. The staff are friendly and efficient, and there were no unexpected charges. The car was good - clean and reliable. It was a really nice change to enjoy a car hire experience! I highly recommend them to you!
We rented a car here last year. The employee accepted another person before us without an explanation, then made us wait for more than 20 minutes. Then she left... for lunch! The other employee was as slow as a snail, very slow and bad service, although employees were polite, but zero efficient. Also charged us an extra deposit. If you do not speak Portuguese, you will have troubles, I had difficulties to understand the employee who literally whispered, I asked several times to speak louder, but nothing changed. Zero client oriented, just thinking about having a lunch.
We made yesterday a perfect experience with the rental car Guerin at the airport Ponta Delgada. Espacially the employee Joaõ was very friendly and professional. We got a warm and friendly welcome, he made his job quick and efficient. We rent often a car and this first step in a foreign country is not always the best. This time, it was so agreable! We actually rented a car from another company and they didn t show up at the airport to pick us up. Barbara Aguiar at the Guerin desk went out of her way to help us look for the other representative and then called their office to correct the error. If she was this helpful for a non-customer, I can t imagine what great care they take of their customers. Thank you, Barbara!
