Says they are open on Sundays from 9:00 - 18:00 but they are not. You have to call. If there’s no one going to be in the office, they should just say that but instead, I think they’re open until you walk over. This is the reason I gave them one star.

I had the pleasure of renting a bike from Nuno in March, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Open on Sunday, very helpful owner. Got a decent bike, lock, helmet, and repair kit for 20 Euro. Plus great advice on where to go. If I had more time, would have rented for longer. A great way to explore Sao Miguel.
Great experience! Bike we've got was in perfect condition and well serviced (rented scooters on other 3 islands here and I can compare now). The owner was friendly and to the point. Take care of the bike, respect terms and conditions and you're guaranteed to have great experience too. Practical tip: he runs old manual machine to read credit cards for deposit, so CC without a tactile number on it won't be accepted (I had eco CC where a card number is printed on the back and is not tactile and it wasn't accepted; luckily my wife did have a 'classic' card so we managed)
We rented 2 bikes from Nuno and rode the entire circumference of the island in 10 days. Nuno was super helpful and had the bikes ready for us in advance and gave us key information to help us find places to stay even though we were there during high tourist season. The rental price also included helmets, locks, repair kits and pumps. Being able to rent bikes in good condition made it a lot easier than having to fly in our own bicycles. The ride was very hilly but amazingly scenic and just jaw dropping gorgeous. This an incredible place and you definitely escape the tourists if you explore it on bicycle.

Since all cars were rented out in the island I Called to see if they had some last minute 125cc scooters available (you can drive these if you're 25+ with a normal drivers license, and they go +-100 km/h). Super friendly owner, and we managed to rent a scooter for some days. Very good quality, fair price and easy to drive scooters, the girlfriend and i explored the whole island and doing it on a scooter made it an even greater experience. Would definitely recommend this scooter rental, and please note: do not mistake this rental for the scooter rental 20m further in the street.
Nuno was very accommodating and his scooter made our trip so much more fun last year november! Scooter was in great condition. I broke a visor but Nino was very kind to discount the visor price as far as i remember.
The owner was really kind, I could borrow a bike for a day without reservation. You should call the number, if the shop is closed. Later, I had a flat tyre and he picked me up at the neraest town, he was utmost helpful!!! :) 5+ stars

Ottima esperienza! abbiamo trovato per caso il negozio ed ci è andata molto bene. Il mezzo (scooter 125) era in ottimo stato, abbiamo girato per 5 giorni con pochi euro di carburante. Il Signor Nuno gentilissimo e molto disponibile.

Really poor service. The owner wasnt very nice and the bikes we paied 20 each for were broke (gears and breakes didnt work) and he didnt even bother to pump the tires properly.
Tires are a little bit flat und not the best bikes but for the price everything was grat.
Die beste Adresse für Fahrradverleih in Ponta Delgada. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als unser Fahrrad auf einer Tour einen Platten hatte, kam er zu uns gefahren und hat ein neues gebracht. Er empfiehlt Routen, kommt auch zum Laden, wenn der eigentlich geschlossen hat und beantwortet gern alle Fragen. Wir haben Helme und ein Fix-Kit von ihm im Preis inbegriffen zu den Fahrrädern bekommen. Nuno <3
Wer die Umgebung von Ponta Delgada richtig erkunden will, findet bei Nuno gute Fahrräder mit Helmen, Flickkit und Schlössern zu einem super fairem Preis. Dazu gibt es klasse Tipps für Touren und Ausflüge. Bei Problemen war er zudem immer erreichbar und hat uns direkt ein neues Fahrrad gebracht als wir unterwegs einen Platten hatten. Dank Nuno und der Fahrräder hatten wir 3 wunderschöne Tage, danke Nuno!!

I rented scooter from Nuno for two days the price was good not expensive and the scooter was in good condition, I was a bit scared that if something happened to the scooter I ll have to pay , but hopefully everything was alright, if you looking for a scooter for rent in the area I recommend you at Nuno
I rented a bike for 6 days to tour the island , which included a repair kit, helmet and bike bag. The bike was fine the whole way. Nuno was so kind to give me detailed information about the island, the roads and the bike. We also talked over my route on a map he gave me. With his advices I can do the tour around the island successfully. Everything went smoothly. Plus point that it is also open on Sundays.
Would highly recommend. The touring bikes we rented were perfect for what we needed and a lot cheaper than other places we enquired. Nuno supplied racks, helmets, pannier bags and a repair kit. He was prompt with communication, happy to be flexible around pick up and drop off times so we could collect on a Sunday and very kind and helpful. On our last morning we had a problem with one of the bikes, Nuno was with us in under 30 minutes with a new bike and drove next to us to make sure we made it up the last hill and took the correct junction. Great experience!

Just like every other traveller, I read a lot of reviews before booking and trust me so many people said scammers about most rental places in Sao Miguel. my experience of renting a scooter from this place was just flawless. The prices are reasonable and the quality of scooters is top notch. Would highly recommend than other rental places in the island
We rented one of Nunos scooters and can only agree with the positive reviews. Nuno is a very kind- hearted man. Prior to our stay in Sao Miguel he answered all my questions via e- mail and WhatsApp. Once we picked up the scooter he explained everything to us and was super helpful. We can only recommend Nuno to everyone who wants to discover Sao Miguel by scooter!
Had a tiny ding on the scooter and was not an issue at checkout. He signed off on the scooter and then he charged me 100 euros after I left the island. I would definitely avoid this place

We hire Scooters often and this was the most efficient and best hire shop we have been too! The owner was relaxed and informative, bikes were very good and price was great! Easy to collect and easy to deliver! Will be back for sure. We would definitely recommend you hire a scooter here!
Muy mala experiencia. He llamado para saber precios, al preguntar por la moto me ha preguntado repetidas veces si sé conducir, si hace mucho que tengo el carnet, si tengo experiencia. Despues de insistir le pregunto por el precio y me dicen que no, que tenia que reservar directamente sin saber los precios. Solo decir que cuando ha llamado mi amigo (chico) no ha habido ningun problema para reservar y saber los precios. Una vergüenza.
A preocupação do Sr. Nuno, foi saber se o depósito estava atestado ou não. Quando tentei explicar o motivo de ir um tracinho abaixo, nem me deixou falar. Foi a correr buscar um pequeno bidon, encheu até transbordar, e disse que tinha de pagar 3 litros de gasolina! Dúvido, pela minha saúde, que tenha levado 1 litro! Tive o cuidado de ir lavar a scooter, e entregá-la limpinha, o agradecimento foi zero. Só não classifico com uma estrela, porque voltou atrás com a palavra ao dizer que lhe tinha de pagar 3 litros de gasolina. Tinha reserva feita desde Maio, em Julho decidiu aumentar o custo dia em 10 , eu disse ok sem levantar qualquer questão. Faz questão que o pagamento seja feito em numerário, não quis usar multibanco. Despediu-se de mim sem o mínimo de educação, prepotente,arrogante, a dizer vá-se embora para Portugal. A pessoa mais mal educada que tive a infelicidade de conhecer nos Açores. Não costumo fazer criticas negativas, mas não recomendo.
We are very happy with renting a bike here. A decent bike that took us across the whole island. Friendly and very helpfull owner! Includes helmets and a spare tire on the go(did not need it though) Would rent here again!

Got an almost new scooter which was running great. Super easy to cover everything from Sete Cidades to Furnas with it. Nuno was very kind and uncomplicated. Can only recommend :)

We rented two bikes with Nuno and can only recommend the shop. The bikes were in good condition and Nuno was really helpful.
Bikes were great, however be aware there is a 5 euro fee if the bikes are not clean when they are returned. I was not informed of this when I rented them.
Intentamos alquilar 2 bicicletas en domingo porque su página web indicaba que estaba abierto. Llegamos hasta la tienda a las 10:30 de la mañana y estaba cerrado, había un teléfono en el que indicaban que atendían 24 horas, y nadie contesto. Repetimos la llamada más tarde, y dos días después no hemos obtenido ninguna respuesta

Nuno is an amazing, kind man who really likes to help. The bike was great, Nuno pampered me with a repair kit with a pump and interior in case I got stuck, a large and wide bag that hung on the bike and was very useful for me but beyond the bike Nino helped me a lot! Information on corona tests, tidal times and what helped me the most - transportation from place to place on the island with the bike at a price that is much lower than the price of a regular taxi. Each ride became a tour where we stopped at spectacular viewpoints , at the tea factories on the island .. in the lake .. Nuno always spiced up the trips, with details and information about life on the island. Each ride with him was an experience in itself! Thanks Nuno !! My trip would not have been the same without you
The guy was very friendly when he gave us the scooter! But he was very impolite and even rude when he saw a small scratch - he asked 100 euro for it. He was so noisy and rude that people in the street told us to stop talking to him - its his usual way of doing business. He keeps bikes shiny and new but takes 100 euro for a small scratch...
I rented a scooter for 5 days to travel around the island, the scooter itself was great with no issues at all and Nuno was kind and helpful also with some recommendations for places to visit. Amazing and kind service! Thank you Nuno!

Wir wollten uns einen Scooter ausleihen und hatten uns seit Tagen darauf gefreut. Dann kamen wir dort an und Nuno erzählte uns, dass wir Erfahrung brauchen um einen Scooter auszuleihen, und wir waren ohne Erfahrung. Roller zu fahren ist doch wirklich nicht schwer oder? Wäre gut wenn das auf der Internetseite stehen würde und man vorher Bescheid weiß.

Nuno è molto gentile e i suoi scooter sono perfetti e con un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ho noleggiato uno scooter nuovissimo che aveva percorso solo 8 km!!!!! Consigliatissimo!!!

Dont rent scooters from this guy. First of all they say you have insurance but after all I had to pay for each scratch on the bike... Total of 420 euro. Just rent a car from the competitors with real insurance. Very disappointed of this guys. They dont have Yamaha 50cc as on their site. They have only 3 Piaggos 125cc.
We rented bikes for 3 days and I can say this bike rental was our best choice. The bike cost 10 E a day with all the equipment. Tha owner was very friendly and helpful. I can reccomend this bicycle rental.
Ive rented bicycles in many places across Europe and Asia, this is by far the best experience Ive had. Bikes are ok, fair prices, and the owner is just great - helpful, flexible, accommodating and kind, gave lots of helpful tips not limited to the cycling routes. Absolutely recommended!
The website says you can rent bike in Lagoa as well but they are out of order there. Otherwise I have no experience with their services
Can certainly recommend Nunos place. Rented a city bike (with 21 gears for 24 hrs= 15), which was comfortable, worked properly and came with friendly and good service and advice from Nuno. Had a nice couple of hours cycling to Ribeira Grande and back.
He was very friendly and we had no problems with renting a scooter for 4 days (22 for a day of rent). Would recommend renting here!

Cest la première fois que je mets un avis sur Google et pour cause. Nuno na vraiment pas été arrangeant avec nous et il a vraiment profité de sa position de vendeur roi (beaucoup plus de demandes que doffres). Petit résumé : Nous étions 3 et souhaitions louer 2 scooters. Mon ami est allé louer un scooter 50cc dans un autre loueur et ma copine et moi un 125cc chez Nuno. Il y a eu une petite incompréhension lors de la réservation téléphonique sur le permis (je navais pas le miens et Nuno ne voulait pas que ma copine conduise son scooter, par sécurité ou machisme je nai pas bien compris). Je lui ai donc dis que mon ami louerait le 125cc et ma copine et moi le 50cc chez lautre loueur, moins pratique mais mieux que rien. Et là, sans raison, Nuno a commencé à me dire you fooled me, quil navais pas confiance, quon allait pas respecter ses consignes, ... tout ça complètement gratuitement, et il a loué le scooter a deux personnes devant nos yeux sans même me laisser lui parler (il a pris sa décision en 2 minutes). Je précise que les deux personnes navaient pas réservé, et nous oui. Ensuite, étant donné lé marché de la location, nous navons rien pu louer et avons perdu une journée juste parce que ce loueur roi a estimer que nous nétions pas digne de confiance. Très rageant !
