Great guides and super fun. 3 in our 60s with a group of 13 including a 10 yr old. They made it safe and fun for all.

We booked the coastering experience, and OMG what an experience it was! The conditions were great, ocean water warm and calm, not windy and sunny. The organisation was great and very punctual, and the guides were amazing. The right amount of being supportive but not pushy. The activity itself is just a blast, we are all going there for the jumps but is more than that. Feeling the water and knowing how to use it to get in and out of the water is also a very worthwhile experience. The jumps are definitely the adrenaline rush of the experience. There are different heights and always with the option of going down or taking a lower jump. Under no circumstance we felt unsafe or pushed to do something we were not comfortable with. But the fear you get looking down and the feeling of the jump afterwards is just mind blowing. I highly recommend pushing outside of the comfort zone and going for the higher ones. And if you are interest in this, for sure you should book with them. They were really great and we can t thank them enough!

Die Canyoning Tour war toll! Unsere Gruppe wurde extra geteilt, um Wartezeiten zu verkürzen und das Team war top motiviert und lustig. Es waren einige hohe Sprünge und lustige Abseilstationen dabei! Besonders sympathisch war, dass alles auf der GoPro festgehalten wurde und wir die Fotos danach kostenlos bekommen haben.

Nous avons fait une session de canyoning ce vendredi 6 septembre 2024. Lorganisation est au top ! Léquipe était très sympathique, bienveillante et professionnelle. Mention spéciale à Rodrigo ! En début de session : topo du déroulement de lactivité, explication des règles de sécurité. Tout est mis en uvre pour que les choses se passent bien et en toute sécurité.

Canyoning in Ribeira dos Caldeirões was so much fun! A great mix of tasks (belay, zipline, slides, and jumps)...we had a great day and the sights were awesome. Our guides (Ricardo and Teresa) were wonderful...fun, supportive, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

We had such a great time canyoning with Fun Activities. Their emails were clear prior to the date of our activity, and once we arrived they had all our wetsuits and shoes ready for us. The guides were so funny and made us feel very safe. We ziplined, rappelled, and jumped. We did the experience at Ribeira dos Caldeirões which was beautiful and extremely beginner friendly, but I wish we signed up for an intermediate experience instead for a bit more of a challenge. The guides even took pictures and videos of everyone throughout the time and sent to us for free afterwards! (I definitely thought they would want us to pay more for the photos). Overall I had an amazing time and would love to come back and do another activity with Fun Activities.

Jump into this experience without hesitation! Our group of nine ranged from ages 11 to 48 and we all had a SPECTACULAR time! Our wonderful guides Claudio e Vitor were highly knowledgeable, professional and sensitive to the dynamics of our group. El barranco de salto de cabrito con Joao y Víctor ha sido espectacular. Y la ruta con las e-bikes en sete cidades no hay que dejarla pasar. Unas vistas impresionantes.

Super Erlebnis! Wir haben mit unserer 7-jährigen Tochter und dem 72-jährigen Opa eine Canyoning Tour gemacht. Das leichte Level war genau das richtige für uns, nicht zu anspruchsvoll, aber trotzdem nicht langweilig. Toll waren auch die sehr kompetenten Guides, die immer auf unsere Sicherheit bedacht gewesen sind und alle Techniken genau erklärt haben. So war das Abseilen für uns Anfänger völlig problemlos. Kann die Tour vor allem für Kinder sehr empfehlen. Schön sind auch die Erinnerungen im Form von Fotos und Videos, die uns am nächsten Tag zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Würde die Tour jederzeit wieder machen!

We went to a 3-hour canyoning tour with Fun Activities on the Ribeira dos Caldeirões (Sao Miguel, Azores). It was great fun in a breathtaking environment, full of climbing, jumping, zipping or just laying around in the water and starig at the scenery. One piece of advice: Do not worry if you find yourself in a mixed group. We took our 18 and 20 year old kids and were mixed with families with much-much smaller children, who were sometimes intimidated by the obstacles. However, our excellent guides (Bruno, Pedro and Tavi - I hope I remember their names correctly) made sure that no-one will be bored, and honestly, we could spend even more time in that amazing place (one that would be surely inaccessable for laymen like us on our own...)

Abbiamo fatto oggi per la prima volta canyoning con loro, ed è stata un esperienza molto positiva. Teresa e Rodrigo sono stati fantastici, professionali e chiari nelle spiegazioni, simpatici e coinvolgenti durante tutte le tre ore passate insieme. Ogni tappa del percorso è stata spiegata in maniera ottimale, così da poter permettere a tutti di muoversi sempre in sicurezza. Ci siamo divertiti, il percorso era adatto a tutti ma non banale. Eravamo in 12, tutti alla prima esperienza di canyoning. Consigliato, mi hanno fatto venire voglia di rifarlo anche in altri posti.

Me and my boyfriend rented e-bikes from this company and the experience was totally unacceptable. The experience was supposed to start at 9:30 and after one hour we didn t get the bikes, some of the bikes were broken and after we waited for more then an hour, the guy said to us that they didn t have bikes for us and we should wait for the others that received the bikes to come back (3-5 hours). The tour was booked in advance.

He hecho dos actividades: kayak al islote de Vila Franca (con Pedro) y barranquismo Salto do Cabrito (con Pedro y Bruno) y me han encantado. Las he disfrutado mucho, incluso sin saber nadar. Ambos recorridos son muy bonitos.

We had a very nice experience doing the Canyoning Tour in Ribeira das Caldeiroes! Ines, Pedro and Ricardo were really nice guides and we had a lot of fun! Trip was really nice organized, every equipment that you need is offered by the team and the pictures and videos they make during the tour are amazing! Of course it is to mention that you need to wait a bit on every obstacle until everyone passes it, because youre a group of about 15 people. But still totally recommend!

Highly recommend the canyoning! The guides are very friendly and make it an amazing experience. Photos taken throughout the journey (and later shared) was a nice touch as well.

Hicimos el barranquismo del Salto do Cabrito y fue estupendo. Pasamos una mañana magnífica y pudimos hacer casi todo el recorrido sin problema a pesar de que había bastante agua. Todos los guías nos dieron sensación de seguridad todo el rato y se nota que tienen muchísima experiencia. No pudimos hacer el kayak por mal tiempo, pero en seguida nos hicieron el reembolso de todo y nos facilitaron todo lo que necesitamos. Sin duda repetiríamos y se lo recomendamos a cualquiera, auténticos profesionales!

This was a family vacation with 5 adults ranging from 32 to 74 years old. It s also my fourth canyoning trip in four different countries. This one was the best. The hike in was through a dense Japanese cedar forest down to the river with a canopy. That was spectacular. The two guides Rodrigo and Diogo were well versed, patient and knowledgeable. What made the canyoning trip special were all of the waterfalls. Too many to count. We repelled down a 16 meter waterfall. For anyone looking for an exciting day of adventure I highly recommend this trip.

The guides were amazing! They had such great information about the island and canyoning. Daniella and Ines made this our best experience on the island. Safety first and they always allowed an option to go around obstacles. Rappelling down waterfalls, jumping off waterfalls and sliding down rocks is what you can expect

I have been lucky enough to visit Sete Cidades several times, but I can truly say doing it as a tour with our guide Tiago made it even more special! He was fun and friendly and full of information. We will look to book with him again in the future

We did two activities with Fun Activities: Canyoeing - what a great experience for a starter. We felt safe with Ricardo and Diogo and they made the activity a great experience. From repelling to jumping with extra jumps at the end. It was all fun. Despite the very cold water :-) One note though: you should be a physically fit person. Walking uphill sometimes over slippery stones and trees is necessary. The description on the website says for beginners and ages up to 70+. Well if you are above say 60 you should be a somehow fit person. ;-) E-Mountain Bike at Sete cidades. Spectular Ride with e-bikes around the crater rim of the caldera. Wonderfully views from different viewpoints. We were given good explanations on the history, biology and geology of the place. The part uphill needs some fitness though. The E- Bikes (KTM made) helped :-)

Die Canyoning-Tour war ein absolutes Highlight unserer Reise! Nach einem kurzen Fußmarsch den Fluss aufwärts beginnt das Abenteuer im Wasser. Die Natur dort ist wirklich beeindruckend und die einzelnen Aktivitäten sind abwechslungsreich es wird gerutscht, gesprungen und sich abgeseilt. Die Guides waren sehr gut drauf und unterhaltsam, das Equipment scheint gut gepflegt. Wir haben uns immer sicher gefühlt. Die Tour wurde kostenlos mit Fotos und Videos dokumentiert. Etwas schade ist die zum Teil mindere Qualität der Bilder, da einzelne zu dunkel oder durch Wassertropfen auf der Linse unscharf geworden sind. Dennoch: ein empfehlenswertes Erlebnis, das man so schnell nicht vergisst. Wir würden beim nächsten Mal auf jeden Fall die lange Tour buchen, da es so viel Spaß gemacht hat.

Greta bike tour, did most experienced one. Was able to bike around whole ridge solo, followed GPS. The service worker delivering bikes was very helpful in setting me up

We have tried coasteering and we loved it! The guide was very attentive to making sure everything was as safe as possible and gave us the confidence to do some pretty nice jumps. There are areas where you have to climb the rock to reach the jumps and go through tunnels. It is a beautiful experience that I recommend trying here in the Azores!

J ai fais le canyoning « salto do cabrito », voyageur seul, nous étions un groupe de 7 personnes. Anès et Henrique nos deux guides sont fort sympathiques et professionnels, malgré mon vertige je me suis senti en sécurité du début à la fin. Le parcours est sublime, allez-y les yeux fermés :)

My family of five did the Salto do Cabrito canyoning trip. We would highly recommend it- do not hesitate. My 16-year-old said it was his best day in Portugal so far. It was so breathtaking- the scenery was gorgeous. The jumps and rappels were exhilarating- just what our three boys were looking for. Our guides- Ricardo and Daniella were the best. Highly recommend this trip.

We went kayaking with our guides João and Daniela, great people who really took the time to show us an amazing experience. It was my first time snorkeling, at Ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo, there were lots of fish to spot. Definitely a highlight on our trip!

Today we ( family with 3 kids 19,17,14 ) went coasteering with Bruno . The canyoning for experienced was already fully booked but what an amazing experience was this ! In 21/2 hours we dived, jumped en climbed near Caloura through literally a playing garden. Nice cliff jumps , play with the currents and walk through caves. It was really nice ! Recommend it strongly if you like some challenges and are adventurous . Thanx Bruno despite your back pains you gave us such a good experience

Mit der ganzen Familie waren wir E-Biken. Unsere besondere Herausforderung: Die Herren sind 195 und 200 cm groß. Trotzdem konnten nach vorheriger Abstimmung passende Fahrräder gefunden werden. Mit GPS, Helm und Notfallkit ausgestattet haben wir eine atemberaubend schöne Tour gemacht. Das GPS hatte zwar seine Macken aber uns wurde super schnell und freundlich geholfen.

Oooooow yeah! I had so much fun :) I went canyoning at Salto do Cabrito with Fun Activities Azores Adventures. It was my first time canyoning and I have to admit: I was a bit scared. But the 3 guides from Fun Activities made me feel safe and encourage me to have fun. And boy, did I! It was awesome and I think it was my best experience on Sao Miguel. You feel the adventure and the excitement, all while being surrounded by the most beautiful nature. And with every waterfall or jump I felt more confident. Couldnt have had a better time! Thanks guys :)

Just had 5 days of activities with this company and cannot recommend them enough We did 3 hikes - all led by an extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide who knew everything about everything. We also went canyoning - WOW, again expertly led and felt very safe throughout but had so much fun - abseiling, rappelling, jumping from rocks into pools - just AMAZING. Our last trip was Coasteering and again, WOW. An adrenaline filled morning jumping from rocks into the sea and swimming in between. Again felt very safe and well looked after by the 3 guides. Every member of staff we encountered was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, safety conscious - we have had a wonderful time. 10 out of 10 from me.

Wir haben die Cannoying Tour mitmachen dürfen und es war richtig gut. Zunächst wanderten wir ca. 30 min die Schlucht hinauf bis wir dann in diese hinabkletterten. Von Wasserrutschen, Sprüngen vom Wasserfall (nur wenn man wollte) über Zipling bishin zum selbstständigen Abseilen war alles dabei. Unsere Guides waren großartig und haben immer darauf geachtet, dass es uns allen gut geht und wir sicher sind. Auch als Anfänger ist die Tour kein Problem man sollte nur keine Höhenangst haben, schwimmen können und körperlich einigermaßen fit sein. Wir hatten einen perfekten Tag und würden es jederzeit wieder machen.

A once in a lifetime tour. Our guide suggested the south part of the island because of light rain. He was amazing. We had a great 4 hour tour. Waterfalls, the Tea Farm, Pineapple Farm. Our shipmates mostly went north and saw nothing but fog. We highly recommend Fun Activities Azores.

Highly recommended! I chose Fun Activities because their online descriptions of tours was the most professional, thorough and detailed my friend and I wanted a challenging canyoning experience, but I didnt want any jumps, and this operator was the only one that actually outlined these elements upfront. You can expect that same type of clarity from initial interactions (they ask for sizing of wetsuits, etc. all in advance), to meeting point, to all the instructions and pointers when you actually strap on the harness. It was a blast and our guides were awesome, very friendly and we can ask them anything, we even enjoyed watching them get down the waterfalls. Thanks!

Canyoning was the absolute highlight of our trip to the Azores!! We are so grateful Fun Activities was able to fit us in for an epic experience. My girlfriend and I did both the Caldeiroes canyoning and the Caloura coasteering, the latter being the best of the two. We never felt in danger at any time despite rappelling, diving, swimming and sliding here and there. The staff is super friendly and welcoming.

Bon matériel. Ils mont même prêté des lunettes transparentes car javais cassé les miennes. Par contre, le parcours 2, beaucoup trop de route à notre goût. Sans être très sportifs, on a fait 35 km en 2h car on a rallongé un peu.

Such an amazing time! A must do if you are on São Miguel Island. Jumping from the cliffs was exhilarating. Had a blast floating in the washing machine and getting flushed out! Our guide, Ricardo, was super relaxed and just wanted to make sure we had the best time. If we go back, we will be asking for him.

We did canyoning and it was great in general. The monitors were friendly and professional, however the stuff was dirty and extremely used. We saw that there are other companies that offer the same with better stuff.

We did the self guided ebike tour around Sete Cidades and it was one of the best days of our whole trip! We called the office and they managed to squeeze us in even though we booked really last minute. Paolo was very knowledgeable and showed us how to use the bikes and GPS (all very easy) and recommended points to stop at on the tour. The views were absolutely stunning and it was so fun to do that route on the bikes! We got to see so much more than we could have done walking. We will definitely back to do more activities with Fun Activities Azores.

Everything far exceeded my expectations! The guides were professional and fun, making sure to engage with everyone, taking the time to explain everything thoroughly, and skillfully taking me and 6 others on a memorable trip through the jungle and down 7 different waterfalls!!! WOW!!

We had a great day out canyoning with Ricardo and João (sp?). It was a great adventure for our family of 4 along with the rest of our small group from Germany, Spain, and Italy. The only reason it s not getting 5 stars today is because we were expecting to have photos and videos of the day provided by the company (as advertised on their site), but apparently the camera they use was lost on an excursion several weeks ago and they have not replaced it. This was disappointing because we were advised not to bring any phones or cameras and it was very beautiful. We would have loved to have some photos to look back on the day.

Best canyoning ever! You need to do this if youre on Sao Miguel, even if youve never done canyoning or scared of heights like me ;) the guides made this an amazing experience, always ensuring we felt comfortable and safe and providing amazing photos and videos afterwards. This is definitely the most beautiful place to enjoy the nature and step out of your comfortzone when and where you want. And if youre scared to jump, they always give you the option to abseil! Really recommendable!!

I had a great day hiking with Marica on one of their hiking tours. As I was the only one who booked they were kind enough not to cancel but I had a private tour(Just had to bring my own lunch)! As a result everything was very flexible during the tour, Marica showed me some hidden gems on the way to the hike and after the hike I had a lot of time to explore Terra Nostra park in Furnas and enjoy the thermal pools. Would definitely recommend this company!

I just wanted to share that myself and a few friends had an amazing time with Paulo @ Fun Activities. We spent a week on Sao Miguel island being shown around by Paulo and finished the trip with an amazing Canyoning experience. Having done lots of outdoor sports, I underestimated how much of a rush it would be..it was awesome fun and we were rappelling down big waterfalls in no time! Paulo is a great guide, super knowledgeable and at all times prioritised safety. Fully recommended and I hope to try some different activities on the next visit. :)

We went kayaking out to Islet of Vila Franca do Campo and it was a brilliant experience. Paulo, a local Azorian and our guide for the day was great, he made sure we got the most out of the tour. Professional to deal with and fun and enjoyable tours to do. Would definitely recommend.
