Be careful !! Even when no new chargeable damages are seen at the dropoff inspection, they will send an email a month later saying you owe them money for new damages. By chance, we took multiple detailed videos and photos and were able to show them that it isn’t true…
Disappointing! We returned our car and were told in person there were minor scratches that weren’t imposable. 2 weeks later we receive an email with an invoice for 700 euros. Don’t trust what they say in person!
Be careful when you use this location. I took a two minute video when I picked up the vehicle. When I returned the car they spent 20 minutes inspecting the vehicle (they spent 20 seconds inspecting on pickup) and then claimed there was a new scratch mark. The “scratch” was minuscule and I even showed them the video that I took during the pickup that had the same mark, but they refused to take it off of the return evaluation and now may use my deposit for the “damage.” Also, when I showed the guy the video, he told me that I was right and that the damage was already there when I picked up the car, but I insisted that they email me the actual inspection report, and then the actual report still listed the “damage.” Dishonest and morally reprehensible behavior.
The service was excellent, and the whole process went very smoothly. Everyone speaks English very well, and I would especially like to highlight Toni's service. He was very friendly and competent. Returning the car was also seamless, as all communication was quick and easy via SMS.
Service was amazing, Tony and Edith made renting the car very smooth. They were very helpful and nice to talk to. Renting a car can be sometimes a stressful situation because you never know if they would try to add charges once you return, but it was not the case here. They were very open with all the charges that were going to be incurred and what would constitute and extra charge at return. Would recommend!

Fomos muito bem atendidos pelo Rafael, que nos passou todas informações acerca da locação do veículo. Durante a locação foi necessário aumentar um dia e tratamos de tudo com comodidade por telefone. Avalio todo o atendimento do Rafael como excelente. Sixt passa a ser a minha locadora preferida.

Service honteux. Une hôtesse qui me reçoit très mal malgré toute ma gentillesse. Je venais juste pour demander de prolonger une location de 4 jours, elle na pas de solution mais surtout, surtout, elle doit être en conversation avec une amie sur wattsapp... En plus jai loué ma voiture à SIXT Porto. Alors, elle sen fou.... Puis de toute façon, sa copine attendait une réponse....

Very bad! The took money from us for sth we didnt do! They find a damage somewhere in the car where it is very difficult to make a photo. No more sixt portugal

The worst rental car of many that I have used in Portugal. They didn t check our car on return, it was exactly as it was the day before, when I collected. They sent email saying all good , later that day, then sent another two days later to say it had a small scratch. They took the money for the repair from our card. Absolute robbery!

Je suis très mécontente du service Sixt. En arrivant à Portimão, j apprends que sans carte de Crédit nous ne pouvons pas prendre la voiture. Évidemment, tous les français arrivés par le même avion ont des carte de débit. Le monsieur au guichet nous dit qu il n a pas de solution pour finalement nous proposer un service avec toutes les options incluses, seul service auquel nous pouvons finalement souscrire selon lui si nous voulons avoir une voiture. Il n y a aucune explication apportée sur le pourquoi avec une carte de débit nous ne pouvons avoir que cette voiture. Évidemment on nous demande de payer 450 au lieu d une centaine. N ayant pas d autre choix car dans un pays étranger, nous avons accepté avec l impression d avoir été volé. C est honteux, fuyez !!!

Falaram que fiz 3 novos danos na carrinha que aluguei, sendo que não fiz nem mesmo 1. A carrinha estava toda suja, pena que vi só quando fui colocar minhas coisas nela. Durante a viagem vi carraças e pulgas dentro dela. E ainda estão a me cobrar 192,38 por dano quem não fiz. As pessoas não tem um pingo de senso, dizem que não tem imagens de antes de eu alugar a carrinha, sendo que o colega que fez o checkin tirou várias fotos da carrinha e o colega no checkout tirou mais de 4 vezes pra no fim dizer que eu poderia ir embora que estava tudo certo, que me enviaria por email o checkout. Quando chego em casa, depois de 10min vejo que o rapaz colocou esses novos danos.. como assim? Foi só eu virar as costas que tem novos danos? Pior foi como me trataram em atendimento não querendo solucionar a questão. Estão a agir de má fé.. fazem de tudo para arrancar dinheiro vosso. Péssimo serviço e péssimo sistema de resolução.
NÃO ALUGUEM COM ELES!! O atendimento na hora de receber é ótimo, mas quando devolve a carrinha aparece danos nas quais tenho a certeza que não fui eu. Quando entreguei a carrinha me mandaram pra casa pois estava tudo ok, quando chego em casa 10 minutos depois disseram que tinha um novo dano. Eles tiram fotos antes e depois. E quando alegaram um dano, que supostamente teria sido eu, eu pedi para comparar com a foto tirada anteriormente no momento em que peguei a carrinha, e disseram não haver fotos. Eles não mostram as fotos pois sabem que não fui eu. Descontaram 193 da minha conta por isso. Estão a agir de má fé, estão a roubar os clientes. TOMEM CUIDADO E NÃO PERCAM VOSSO DINHEIRO ASSIM COMO EU E MUITOS OUTROS. NO LIVRO DE RECLAMAÇÕES DELES SÓ TEM AS MESMAS QUEIXAS. ELES ESTÃO A ENGANAR AS PESSOAS. TIRARAM O DINHEIRO DA MINHA CONTA MESMO EU TENDO MANDADO VÁRIOS EMAILS A PEDIR PARA REAVER AS FOTOS, POIS EU TENHO A CERTEZA QUE NÃO ENCOSTEI A CARRINHA EM CANTO ALGUM.

A very good experience, especially as its hard to find in the area (Im looking at you Guerin). Service at the highest level, payment with a normal debit card as it should be, and the car is practically new, in great condition, with low mileage. We will definitely use SIXT again.
Be careful ! Scammer company they make up invisible damage to the car and make you pay absurd amounts of money , sometimes even directly taking it from your bank if you use a credit card, do not recommend and if you search online there are thousands of bad reviews claiming the same. CAREFUL

This was a no hassle no surprise experience...the staff made it smooth and easy. We picked up the car, drove it for 3 weeks, gassed it up and returned it for a quick inspection...within an hour we received our safety deposit back. Cant be any simpler!

Very convenient pick up or drop off location. I was serviced by Ms. Edith who was courteous and efficient, explaining formalities in detail. Used this office 3 times. Well recommended.

Excellent staff and car was good. Google maps shows the wrong address so go to the Renault dealership and they are in a small office off the showroom. No signage, so look carefully

Never sent any return confirmation, nor a bill. Contacted store manager but still no response after 3 weeks. This is simply unacceptable. In store you repeatedly hear how they sell additional packages to naive clients without telling them the real conditions and consequences. If its too nice to be true, it is. Sad but not the first time with Sixt. To be avoided

I regularly rent from this office and the people are friendly and experienced. The rental office moved recently and it is not in the Renault dealership anymore. It is in the same building with independent opening from Avenida Cap Fernandez Leao Pacheco (next to the river) Now that the high season is over, there was no waiting time!
I was hesitant to rent from SIXT based on several negative reviews. I m very happy I gave them a try! The car was almost new, 100% clean, and well equipped with great features and electronics. The guys in the office were wonderful with excellent English and a fair explanation of both the car and the contract. There was no undue pressure to buy extras and the invoice upon return was exactly as expected. Really, one of the best rental experiences that I have had. Thanks!
Die Niederlassung am Airport war professionell, aber die Niederlassung in Vilamoura eine Katastrophe. Dort war nie jemand zu erreichen und eine gewünschte Verlängerung des Fahrzeug war somit nicht möglich. Es war auch nie jemand vor Ort präsent. Nicht einmal bei der Abgabe des Autos.

THE SIXT OFFICE IT S INSIDE RENAULT !! It s a small office in the right side of the showroom, that we we re struggling to find. Then was we kept asking people in the street, this Renault guy told us it was inside the dealership. Even doe the hard find, we were super well treated by the Sixt staff, totally recommend the service!

REALLY HARD TO FIND. The SIXT office is inside the Renault Dealership. Went there to return a location. No fuss. The lady kindly looked at the car for any damage and to make sure the car s fuel was full.
Unfortunately a very bad experience with this franchise which is inside a Renault dealer. The lady was extremely unhelpful and impatient because she wanted to go on her lunch. We d used a virtual debit card for the reservation (better exchange rate) and thought we could just use a credit card for the deposit, like we have done in the past, but she refused saying we had to cancel the reservation via Sixt customer services for a refund and we couldn t have the car we d reserved and paid for. She then locked up the door and went on her 2 hour lunch break, seriously disrupting our travel plans, seemingly without a care in the world. If you can, I d use another company, we used one at Praia da Rocha who were much more helpful.
I paid online before coming a fair rate. However, at the desk I was informed that the excess is 2,600 and that was massive so I was forced to buy full protection which almost double the rental cost. Be careful to ask for the excess before you come and contract. Then upon returning vehicle, I still needed to wait 30 min before the vehicle was washed even though I had been told that upon full protection nobody is to check the vehicle when returning. Hugely disappointing and over priced. I filed a complaint and nobody even replied.
Very bad experience due to long waiting time. We waited almost 2 hours to return the car. Only one employee works at this Sixt franchise. We would recommend to choose another dealer if possible.
Even one star is too much. It s hard to find, no parking spots and our waiting time was almost 2 hours.
Can absolutely not recommend this Sixt branch. Trying desperately to make money by not accepting contactless payment and forcing you to book another secondary driver instead. Also opening times are not being followed although we ve booked the car already.
After having a bad experience with this company (they charged us over 30 for filling gas, when we got the car it had only 6/8´s filled with gas, we left it with 7/8) I called them to sort it out. After waiting for 45 minutes to get connected, I spoke with a man which at fist, didnt understand English.. After describing our situation for a couple of minutes, he said that he had to speak to the bank manager, then we agreed that they would follow up on my e-mail. I am still waiting for them to contact me again, it s been several days and Im not calling them to wait another 45 minutes!
Very good office. The personnel is friendly, the communication upfront was very swift and the pick-up and drop off went smoothly.

Phoned numerous times to try get a quote for renting a car for 1-2 months (or to see if Sixt+ / Sixt Subscribe was available in Portugal). After the third time calling and finally got an answer, they asked me to repeat my question - as I did, the person hung up on me had okay experiences in the UK, but won t be renting with Sixt in the future.
Don t book a car via a broker to pick it up here because there is no office or operation anymore!! We are trying to get back our money from broker carjet.com for weeks now as there is no office here anymore so you cannot rent a car!
