Nice, quick service. I rented vehicle for a 24 h period of time. Staff was extremely friendly and professional, they been helpful with picking up most appropriate car for my family. All took 10-15 min and I had brand new vehicle, renting with them been really good choice. Thank you.
After the initial misunderstanding, we somehow managed to get a car we wanted. The employee first told us that our deposit of 350 euros (300 for the car and 50 for the electronic toll device) will be refunded in maximum 2 hours after we return the car. However, 48 hours afterwards, the 300 euros for the car are still not on my bank account and we were told it's going to take them a week (!!!) to give us back the 50 euro deposit for the electronic toll device.
The staff is friendly, but due to their incompetence and misinformation, my husband was charged for two rentals that I am now having to dispute with my bank account. The short of it: we reserved (and paid for) a rental online, presented the confirmation email to the representative, and were then told that he couldn’t locate the reservation. Instead of contacting the online services, the representative charged us for another rental and provided my husband with number to call to get the original charge refunded. When we later called, we were told that this is something that should be handled by a representative at the physical location. The run-around resulted in lies on both sides and we didn’t have time to clear this up before our flight so now I’m having my bank fight these charges. We shall not be using their services again when we vacation in Portugal.
"Pay €10,000 euros if the car is stolen, if you have your hand cut off and they take the keys then we won't charge you." the lovely words of the staff of Guerin. Basically you get what you pay for. Terrible service takes over an hour to queue for the car, and there were four people 'working' in the office but only 1 serving customers... However my rental for 4 days was €50 which was dirt cheap even for a rubbish Toyota. They try and sell you loads of insurance ect and hold €1300 for a deposit... Not a nice company to deal with but cheap.
The best car rental service ever! I failed to book online, and when I came over to Guerin the line was super long. Unfortunately, when it was my turn, there were no cars available. The guys at Guerin decided to help me find the car that I wanted at the best possible price. They arranged for a quick delivery of the vehicle from another location and two hours later I drove off in a nice Renault Espace. They completely beat the prices I saw online, and what my hotel quoted me, they even added my wife as a second driver for free. Also the deposit they took was only a fraction of what other places asked. I strongly recommend this place and I’m definitely coming back!
Had excellent service there. Car selection was good. Price was great, no surprises. We rented a Skoda Fabia for one week, and it cost is a little over 300 euros. We did go there to rent for the next day, so we weren't in a hurry, maybe that helped us make sure everything was as we wanted. We picked up here and dropped off at the airport, without any issues. Also can't remember if it cost any more, but it wasn't much if there was a cost. We did use the toll booth electronic thingy as well, and it worked like a charm. We were charged the tolls a few days after our drop off, which again, was as we were told. Overall, it was a great experience. One note, if you have a phone with google, and use offline areas, consider skipping the GPS rental. We dis get the GPS, but because using google maps is so much easier, we ended up not using the GPS at all. No big deal, it was like 10 euros I think, but still, just a thought. :)
I rented a car in Porto city center ten days ago. I had to wait for about one hour even if I already reserved and paid the car, but I guess it was a crowded day. Then I was suggested to subscribe a 150 euros TOTAL COVER insurance in order to avoid any problem. I did it. Today I gave back the car, without a scar. The guys at the check out protested because the car was dirty (a bit of dust and sand: we've been to the seaside) and because there was a little dark stain on the backseat (it was already there when the rental started, but the person who checked the car 10 days ago apparently didn't write about it). So I've been charged with additional 35 euros for some dust and a "damage" that I didn't make. The woman at the reception - the same who ten days ago invited to subscribe the TOTAL COVER - explained that the TOTAL COVER didn't cover the DAMAGE inside the car. This is ridiculous. It isn't about the money, it's about respect. No one likes to be treated like an idiot. I suggest anyone who reads not to trust this company.
The staff are very friendly, however I had to wait over two hours to hire the car that I had pre-booked and had people waiting for me in Lisbon. Staff told me that they were regularly this busy so why can the company not refine the process and the speed at which they deal with customers. A lot of information asked for at the counter could have been done online beforehand and some had been such as email address and telephone number.

This company tried several times to charge my card after I had left the country. Today they have tried again for a small amount , almost a year later. They have saved and entered my card details manually. So attempted theft and fraud.
Clear, fast and very welcoming service with affordable pricing conditions. We were upgraded with no extra. Take out the electronic toll subscription to travel without constraints. We will come back without hesitation!

Checkout took forever. Even though there was a ticket system for taking turns, whoever made it to the counter first was taken care off. Besides that the service seems qualified and the people are friendly. Car also seems new. Tba.

hatte auch eine andere Kreditkarte dabei als bei der online Buchung angegeben. Die Mitarbeiter Vorort und per Telefon zugeschaltet Zentrale waren freundlich aber sehr unflexible. Vorschläge die Kaution einfach noch mal von der neuen abzubuchen wurden nicht akzeptiert. Es konnte mir auch keiner Erklären warum nicht wie bei Sixt Hertz und Co einfach die andere Kredit Karte ins System eingegeben werden konnte. Es wurde hier sehr stupide in bester Bürokraten Manier unwissend irgendwelche Regeln befolgt ohne Interesse eine Kundenfreundliche Lösung zu finden. Musste Canceln und neu Buchen und die neue Buchung war Teurer . (statt 150 jetzt 350 ) Es scheint hier auch sehr penibel bei Abgabe und Rückgabe auf mini Kratzer geachtet zu werden. Habe ich so im Extrem auch noch nicht erlebt. Das war bei der Rückgabe am Flughafen normaler.

Attention arnaque ! Nous avons loué une voiture pour 4 jours , la personne qui nous a loué la voiture nous a assuré que l on pouvez rendre la voiture le soir jusqu a 18 h sans supplément. J ai demandé 4 fois poir être sur .. je moment de rendre la voiture on m as demandé une journée de plus ... impossible de joindre le type qui nous a loué la voiture , inacceptable et surtout beaucoup trop chère ! Voleur

Guerin as a rental- almost new car, clear rules, fast cashback, no problem with return, good prices. This office (i experienced different offices from guerin)- perfect information and customer care, explanation of everything even things that i hadnt ask but i felt with it comfortable. This people and conditions made it that i will come back with rental to Guerin for sure!
Attention!!! bien regarder létat des roues car on ma facturé une rayure sur la jante. Je navais pas vérifié les roues avant. L agent vous montre bien la carrosserie et les points déjà signalés et du coup on ne fait pas attention aux roues. Choisissez un autre loueur car jai bien l impression d avoir payé pour une rayure qui était déjà sur la jante.

When you book a car online, it says that you need to be there 20 min before pick-up to avoid delays. But they refused to start my rental proceedings, even without anyone waiting.

Reservamos on line y alli in situ contratamos seguro a todo riesgo, paso fronterizo y el servicio de peaje rapido que sin duda recomiendo por comodidad, no es caro el alquiler y a los dos diás de terminar te pasan el cobro de peajes y te desbloquean el dinero (110 ). Nos atendieron supercorrectamente, nos dieron un coche practicamente nuevo SUVM (habiamos reservado grupo E) y no tuvimos que esperar, en 15 mtos. gestionamos todo. La verdad, muy contentos con Guerin. Devolvimos el coche en el aereopuerto y todo ok tambien.
Even though we booked online, we were kept waiting nearly an hour. Also booked crash collision waiver online but we were told we had to pay extra? The they were going to debit the credit card 1330 euros if we had a crash to be claimed back later? 110 euros if we didnt pay for tolls on our trip would also be debited, very unprofessional rip off, badly organised! Cancelled the car!!
Fast and reliable service
We had a confirmed reservation, the agency deny the email confirmation. Even after we showed it. After an hour of claim and dealing with 2 employees with no idea about customer service. They finally sent us to another agency with the car we reserved.
- NADA QUE VER CON LAS TÍPICAS EMPRESAS DE ALQUILER CHUPASANGRE - Alquilamos un coche para conducir hasta el Algarve, con la mala suerte de que abollamos el parachoque delantero. No habíamos contratado seguro. Al llegar (temiendonos lo peor) el encargado de la tienda se responsabilizó e hizo todo lo posible para reparar el bollo (el truco del agua caliente y unos golpecitos). Todos los empleados (hasta el personal de limpieza) se dedicaron a arreglar el coche. Nos devolvieron la fianza y no nos cobraron ningún extra. Gracias a él y a todo el equipo nuestras vacaciones fueron redondas. ¡Personal increíble!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER RENTING A CAR! We went to Porto in August 2018 and we decided to rent a car for a few days to go to the Algarve with Enterprise - Guerin Porto (Passos Manuel). Everything while picking the car was perfect in the office (so fast and easy). During our road trip to Algarve we had an accident while we were parking, and we damaged a little the frontal part of the car. We went to the Guerin office to return the car so concerned because we thought that we would have to pay a lot of money for the damage (because we didnt have an insurance). The manager of the office and all the staff were VERY KIND to us. They did everything they could to fix the damage and they got it :) So finally they found the way to solve our problem and we didnt have had to pay for the damage. They did their best, and thanks to them we had the BEST TRIP in Portugal. So WE RECOMEND Guerin Porto (Passos Manuel) to rent your car!!!

Cette agence de location est une honte !!! Plus de 3 heures et demi dattente pour récupérer notre véhicule début Août parce que lagence loue plus de voitures quelle nen a réellement... Une désorganisation totale avec une file dattente jusque dans la rue. Certains autres clients ont attendu plus de 7 heures pour récupérer leur véhicule. Aucune excuse de la part du personnel qui a gâché une demi-journée (voir plus) de vacances à ses clients. Le véhicule que nous avons enfin pu avoir était en mauvais état : rayures, bosses, tâches... Et pour finir, le plus beau : au regard de cette perte de temps et de tous les dysfonctionnements, nous avons logiquement demandé un geste commercial, la personne à laccueil nous indique quune remise de 80 nous serait faite. Quelle surprise quand je me suis rendu compte que ce montant avait finalement été débité sur ma carte bancaire !!! Fuyez cette entreprise de voleurs, dincompétents, et de menteurs !

situated on the frequent street of old town, open from 8 to 19:00. good place to rent a car for one day if you stay in the city center hotel. the staff is very good trained, corporate identity perfect. to rent a small car (we got wv polo 1,1petrol) cost 68 eur a day with all insurence fees, you only block deposit 250eur on your credit card. gas and highway fees are payd extra. the trip to pinhao (douro valley) with few stops in the montain it was around 350 km.

Die schlechteste inkompetente Autovermietung der Welt. Wir warten seit 2,5 Stunden auf unser Auto. Wir haben es auf der Homepage billiger-mietwagen.de gebucht und haben eine andere Kreditkarte eingegeben. Hier im Shop wollten sie die Kreditkarte der Fahrerin, diese hat aber leider nicht funktioniert. Sie meinte wir kriegen das Auto nicht und haben somit Pech. Das gibt es doch nicht!!! Ich hab so ein Hals und die Frau an der Theke war sehr sehr unfreundlich und hat uns nicht weitergeholfen!!!! Noch nie habe ich so eine sauerei erlebt!! NIE WIEDER IN DIESEM SAFTLADEN!!!

Sehr hilfsbereit. Auto, Betreuung und Abrechnung alles super. Bei der Anmeldung wurde uns ein falscher Tarif genannt, bei Rückgabe wurde alles korrigiert. 5 Sterne hätte es gegeben wenn die Telefonansage auf Englisch geben würde.

Fuimos con la reserva y el coche pagado a todo riesgo, esperamos mas de 1 hora. Lamentablemente se nos olvidó llevar la tarjeta de crédito en físico. La teníamos electrónica a través de la app de BBVA, operativa y funcional, además de llamar a mi banco para que me facilitaran un certificado conforme esa tarjeta estaba operativa y funcional. Resumiendo, la culpa entiendo que es nuestra, pero no nos han puesto ninguna facilidad ni querido ayudar... Mi acompañante tenía una tarjeta de crédito y tampoco la querían aceptar... Les comentamos de hacer nosotros el pago de la fianza y tampoco... 0 ganas de ayudar. Nos hemos tenido que buscar la vida para poder alquilar un coche en otro renting y no perder ni otros hoteles ni el vuelo. Por no habla de que el pago con rentalcar me lo han devuelto con sobrecargo de cancelación... Horrible experiencia.

Au total il nous aura fallu 1h pour obtenir notre véhicule. Hôtesse tout juste aimable. Si vous avez réservé en ligne, pensez vraiment à imprimer votre voucher de réservation au risque quon vous demande de payer à nouveau le montant ou une option...
