The best car rental agency in Porto and at the airport, by far! Cars are fairly priced. Even though the airport location is off site, Livia met us at the terminal to hand over the car and sign the contract, absolutely seamless. In return, we stopped at the off airport location on our way and George jumped in and dropped us off outside the terminal. No fuss, no busses, no lines. Edson and the team run a slick operation with a high degree of customer service.

I was surprised with the good service. They seem kind of new. Local clerk was very informative and helpful (Wesley l, a nice Brazilian guy). Very good price. It is advisable to do insurance with them instead of on the booking website. Customer service/response by phone/whatsapp was super fast. Car was in good shape. No hiccups!

We just returned from Porto. We booked he car hire with ProRent through DiscoverCars. The car was supposed to be delivered to us at the airport. It was not. We were picked up in a minibus and taken to a backstreet 'unit' at night. There was only one member of staff. He did not speak any English. The contract was not available in written English either. We were 'duped' into upgrading, which we had to pay an additional 50 Euro for. We said we did not want an upgrade, and asked to see which the car was that was on our booking. He showed us to the car and then gestured to the one next to it, indicating that we could upgrade to it. We declined the upgrade and said the one booked was OK for us. We did not know until we arrived at the accommodation and translated the booking which was emailed, that both the cars he showed us were 'upgrade' options. He duped us into the upgrade which was not necessary for just 2 of us. He then pushed additional insurance at us. We were firm and showed him that we had already purchased our own insurance policy. At the end of the stay, we had to return the car to the unit, not to the airport as per our original booking. Our main reason for using this company was that they were bringing the car to the airport and we were returning it to the airport for their collection. This did not happen. Very disappointed!

Pay attention!! They charge extra-fees after having brought back the vehicle (cleaning fee of 100 Euro). Then they provide you with a not full tank and charge penalties if you bring it back at the same level. I have borrowed plenty of cars for business and leisure in many countries and it was definitely the worst experience ever. Not reliable.

Excellent company, new cars, excellent service. We will recommend to friends and use it ourselves next time.

Good customer service, good car, competitive price and reliable. They brought the car to a more central location and then picked it up in the airport at my departure. Everything went smoothly. Very recommended. The only improvement note I'd add is that they should send the client invoices via mail when charging the card after the rental has finished. I got charges in my card from them months after the rental was finished(legitimate charges - toll roads) but I didn't get the invoice until I asked for it.

Very friendly, very efficient and very competitive. I am a frequent traveller and have used all the major car rental companies. Prorent in Porto beats all of them by miles.
