Overall we had a good experience with Sixt. The return experience was confusing. We were late returning the car because the documentation stated the return time, however, the 1 hour grace period was included in that time. Anyway the customer service was great and they were understanding. Altogether we had the best service with Sixt and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely use them again.
Mr. Claudio and Mr. Jorge were amazing. There was no communication problem, English was perfect and they were incredibly friendly. Everything was taken care of and they answered every question. We even got a free bag and water bottles 🤣❤️. Very good experience, the staff there was great! ❤️
Gonçalo is the best! Anita is a real sweetheart! The chestnuts were also really good (but not as good as gonçalo and anita!) I never knew that renting a car could be the highlight of my holiday:)

Friendly staff, quick service. I enjoyed the experience. Can be busy in the morning, so take it in consideration while planning, took me about an hour in total to get the car. Returned the car by dropping the key into the drop-off box, the experience was smooth as well. The deposit is returned in full, excluding the toll roads costs. Highly recommended, thanks Anita and Jorge!
Personnel is exceptionally kind and professional. The place is not too far from the airport and you can easily Uber there. Ask for Gonzalo and his colleague in the garage Jorge for the best renting experience!
Very nice rental shop, indoors, bright and clean. Catarina P was very helpful, reviewed the car carefully spotting any defects and taking pictures before we started to ensure an easy return later. The car was super smooth and pleasant. The return was easy and they of course do a thorough check for damage, which was none as we drove carefully. Overall wonderful, I’d definitely rent from that location again. I’ve used SIXT as well as many other rental companies and SIXT has so far always been very good, in Europe and in California USA. Thanks Catarina for your smiles and nice rental experience.
we went for this company for almost 2 weeks rental for a road trip in Portugal. compared to Firefly, Goldcar etc the prices were a little higher but still beating the other big companies like Enterprise, Hertz etc. .. The handover was smooth, the waiting time reasonable, everything well explained, also the employee had perfect English. As usual we got better car than we booked, almost new Peugeot 208 GT (mileage app. 30K km) in perfect condition. Not a big pressure for paying for an extra insurance as well (that I appreciated), breaking down properly how it works if you make a scratch:) What's more, the return was superfast, no time delay at all. Overall, reasonable prices and really good experience! By the way, if you are going to travel more, the only thing I suggest you to do in advance is to study a Toll system in Portugal, just a small recommendation:)

Ele representou bem a maior qualidade da Sixt que é fazer com que o cliente se sinta realmente satisfeito.

Tengan cuidado alquilar los carros allá, no lo revisan en la entrega y cuando lo reciben tienen reportes antiguos y los cobran son ladrones ,nos cobraron un rayón que ya tenía el carro y unas bases de que soportan la tapa del baúl, cobraron algo que ya el carro tenía no por favor no tomen carros allá.

Wir haben in Porto unser Auto entgegengenommen und bei der Entgegennahme einen Schaden festgestellt. Der Verleiher versicherte uns, dass dieser Schaden nur oberflächlich sei und er ihn deshalb nicht die Dokumente aufnehmen müsse. Wir haben darauf bestanden, Fotos zu machen und diese zeitlich zu dokumentieren. Als wir den Wagen in Faro zurück haben, Wurden wir für den Schaden verantwortlich gemacht, obwohl dieser nachweislich bereits bei der Übergabe bestanden hatte. Wir haben nun schon mehrere Stunden Zeit damit zugebracht, den verschiedenen Ansprechpartnern vor Ort die Situation zu schildern. Leider bisher erfolglos! Deshalb können wir keinem empfehlen, Ein Auto dort auszuleihen!

Ich spreche hier aus meiner Erfahrung. Wir haben vor der Ankunft in den Ferien auf der App auf dem Handy 4 Monate im Voraus das gewünschte Auto gebucht und mit der Smart Versicherung (reicht vollkommen aus, Selbstbeteilung bei 0Fr., man kann immer noch im nachhinein etwas selber dazu buchen wenn man möchte ) abgeschlossen. Am Tag wo wir das Auto abholen hat uns Gonzales empfangen. Nett zuvorkommend und engagiert war er drauf und hat uns bevor wir das Auto entgegen genommen haben kurz Hinweise gegeben auf was zu achten es gibt auf den Strassen von Portugal. Wir hatten sogar ohne Aufpreis einen besseren Wagen bekommen, da unser Modell nicht mehr vorhanden war. Wasserflaschen bekamen wir als kleines goodie dazu. Übergabe war unkompliziert und es wurden uns keine weiteren Versicherungen oder Extras angedreht. Das Auto wurde auch von uns gecheckt und bei der Rückgabe wurde das Auto inspiziert und ich musste kurz bestätigen für die Rückgabe bei Anita auch eine freundliche Dame die sich für uns Zeit genommen hat. Im ganzen habe ich nichts auszusetzen und sie haben ihren Job professionell gemacht. Vorteil an dem Standort finde ich, es hat nicht tausende Leute, man ist weniger gestresst und das Personal nimmt sich Zeit.

Rented a car from Porto to Lisbon, with a baby car seat. Automatic. It was generally a smooth process, and no concerns picking it up and dropping it off. We dropped it off at Lisbon airport, which was hassle free. The car was great.. an automatic. Would go with them again.

Très bien accueillis, aucune attente, la personne soccupant de nous nous a montré la liste des dégâts déjà causés sur la voiture et a fait le tour de celle-ci avec nous pour que nous puissions vérifier ensemble. On a tout de même pris des photos et vidéos de la voiture (au cas où, je conseille à tout le monde de le faire) Rien à signaler
Superbe expérience rapide et efficace. Aucun temps dattente. Lauto était en excellent état et très propre. Catarina était très gentille. En prenant le métro au départ de porto, ça se fait très bien. À environ 10 minutes de la gare du métro à pied.

Ridículo. Não aluguem nunca. Afirmam ter o depósito cheio e quando se abastece o ponteiro passa muito do sinal de cheio fazendo com que o cliente insira bastante mais combustível que o necessário. Após apresentar a queixa do combustível recebo uma resposta por e-mail dizendo que provoquei danos na carrinha já depois de me devolverem a caução que tem justamente esse propósito. Para não mencionar que o pedido 244,65 foi realizado 4 dias após o aluguel como se o dano não tivesse sido reparado logo não recomendo a ninguém. Sinto me roubado e cansado de enviar e-mails para tentar corrigir um erro que não é meu.

Ho dato una stella, perché non si può dare zero. Circa un anno fa abbiamo affittato unauto a Lisbona per poi riconsegnarla il giorno dopo a Porto. Alla consegna una ragazza si è letteralmente avvicinata sullauto fiondandosi sui paraurti anteriori e posteriori come se cercasse un punto già stabilito. Dopo circa 5 minuti di controlli ci impunta due graffi sulla carrozzeria che assolutamente non avevamo fatto, considerando che la notte la macchina è stata nel garage dellalbergo, il danno già cera! Nostra colpa non aver controllato bene lauto al ritiro. Dopo pochi gg mi arriva un addebito sulla carta di credito di circa 500 euro (DUE GRAFFI) una truffa bella e buona. Per fortuna avevo precedente fatto unassicurazione con altra compagnia, sicuramente se avessi fatto la polizza con loro questo non sarebbe successo. Attenzione!!!

I booked a car in this SIXT agency, using a broker website (Check24) in September 2022. I was served by Nando. Friendly employee. As usual practice in most rental place, the employee is trying to sell all kind of additional products/service, in oder to increase the price of rental. This is not pleasant for the customer. In this case it helps to remains polite and decline the offers again and again... I wish i could get in the SIXT agency and simply pick up the booked vehicle, without unnecessary commercial discussions. Customer experience is not good. First, Nando suggested the car I rent is too small for 3 people and luggage, so suggested that I rent a vehicle with more space. I declined. Then Nando suggested that I upgrade to a vehicle with a more powerful engine to have more driving pleasure. Of course it goes with higher rental price per day (which is not clearly mentioned by the employee). What is this ? I just want the car category that I booked on the website. Caution of around 2000 !! Even tough the document mentioned I should pay a caution of 300 . Luckily I had increased the payment limits of my credit cards before traveling. Keep trying to sell me additional insurances. I had everything covered by the broker company. Keep declining politely and at the end my wish was accepted by the employee. Compared to other company it seems less insisting tough, which is better). One more trick that the employee tried out: keep telling (very insiting) me to return the car with empty tank, as Sixt offers, as a service, to fill up the tank. Of course I filled the tank 100% full before returning the car. Otherwise Sixt will charge higher price for fuelling the tank. I took picture of the vehicle before starting the rental. Didnt get issue after the rental period regarding any damage to vehicle.

Overall a great experience, Carol and Jorg helped me rent a car, Carol gave us a free upgrade to a better car, she was really helpful and made our experience a lot better and we will book again with Sixt because of that. Thanks Carol and thanks for the VW T-Roc
DANGER/BEWARE of SIXT: I rented a car in Lisbon on a Tuesday and returned it to Porto on Wednesday March 8 2023. I bought full insurance including Windshield and Tire insurance. When i returned the car, they opened the rear door to inspect and found that the inside handle was loose (as they described it and as I saw for the first time when they showed me). They told me they have to note it down as something new, but told me (after reviewing my rental agreement) I would not be charged anything as I had full insurance coverage. Keep in mind, that I never even touched the handle during my time with the car. I paid ~$250 for the car for that day (including a fee for dropping at a different location and paying for full insurance). Then, 3 days after i returned home, I got an ADDITIONAL $585 charge on my CC for an insurance claim for damage. After numerous emails back and forth, SIXT continues to call this Damage caused by me, and they will not remove the charges, saying that the full insurance that i paid for will not cover anything inside the car. Again, this was NOT damage. It was either a defect in the car, or simply wear-and-tear, and I did not even touch this handle and would have NEVER noticed it during check-in, as there was nothing visibly different in the car upon initial inspection. I will be disputing the charge with my CC, getting my attorney involved, and will NEVER rent from this shady company again. Ever. Unless this gets resolved urgently. I will follow up here, if i get the re-imbursement of the ridiculous $585 incremental charge that cost more than my round trip plane ticket to Europe from Chicago. I am moving to Europe soon too, and will never rent from this shady company again, and will tell everyone I know to avoid them unless this gets resolved.

Une etoile car je ne peux pas mettre zero ! Lagence nous a affecté une voiture defectueuse ( probleme dinjection). apres plusieurs conversations contradictoires avec la plateforme telephonique (dont la plupart des interlocuteurs ne parlent quasiment pas anglais...) , nous avons pris le risque de ramene la voiture a lagence pour lechanger ( 100 km de notre lieu de vacances). cest alors quon nous a demandé daller faire le plein du vehicule pour valider lechange ! Les problemes du vehicule semblait ne semblait pas inconnu de lagence ! je trouve ce comportement inadmissible car nous avons perdu 25 euros ainsi que 3h de nos vacances et nous navons meme pas eu le droit a un nous sommes desolé... Agence a fuir !!!

Beware of the etoll scam they apply, upon rental they tell you that is a mandatory fee but you will be fully refunded if you do not use the service. Guess what, 2 months after the trip still havent got any refund from them and no reply on the matter either. Simply do not trust them, unless what they say is also written on the contract. I just dont get why these companies cannot conduct business honestly.
Jorge and Carol gave us outstanding service both when we picked up the car and when we returned it. The car was perfect, the service was perfect, so we will definitely rent from SIXT again.

Great experience renting from Sixt in Porto. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They explained everything thoroughly. When I had issues with my vehicle, I was able to stop at another Sixt in Portimao and easily exchange it for a new one. When I got back to Porto to drop off, they were very quick and again, very friendly. I highly recommend this location and will rent from them again.

Bad Service, very long process even though we had a reservation, wrong reservation at first and they only noticed as we saw the wrong amount, no interest in diamond clients, first no other car but after getting the car suddenly they do ? .. disappointed!
Aucun soucis avec Sixt de Porto. Bien au contre jai eu Anita qui parle très bien le français et qui nous a très bien accueilli elle et toute la société. Voiture propre, personnel agréable. Et même pendant les quelques minutes de paperasse mes enfants ont reçu des attentions .

I have been a customer for Sixt in Portugal for years, but Ill probably be shopping elsewhere from now on. In February I rented a car and when I returned it a week later it was flagged for possible dents and dings. I had taken photos beforehand and was not in any situation that I would expect a ding. The car was dirty due to mud puddles, but that was superficial which easily comes off during washing. Four months later I get an email and bill for $167. I asked for proof of the issues and they sent me photos of two dings (only after pictures; no before pictures). One was on the wheel and it matched my photo at the time of pickup (pre-existing issue) and the other was nearly underneath the car so I didnt have pictures of that area (you cannot see it unless you crawl in front) and, yes, I cannot prove it was a pre-existing ding. I asked for their before pictures but they didnt provide me any. If Sixt wants to charge me for dings, they have to show it happened during my rental. Given the wheel ding was pre-existing, I dont have confidence the other wasnt as well. I dont have a problem paying for items Im responsible for, but, please Sixt, justify that appropriately. If you rent with them, make sure to have very detailed pictures before you drive it off, including underneath, around the car and the wheels.

We did the reservation the day before, but it wasn t visible in the system, it was cancelled somehow, even though we had email confirmation. We got the car, but twice more expensive as in the reservation. However employees were very friendly and helpful.

Certes nous avons eu droit à notre véhicule après l heure de fermeture, mais cet effort des employés nous a coûté cher. 68 pour une attache cordelette de la plage arrière manquante de la Clio. Si cette pièce était présente à la réception du véhicule, pourquoi ne pas avoir attaché correctement la plage arrière pourquoi le salarié a soulevé rapidement cette même plage pour nous montrer le coffre

I left my purse in the car I hired and tried calling the offices. After a long time waiting to be connected I finally got through to someone and they are saying no one has seen anything. This purse had all my cards and £800 worth of cash inside. Not trust worthy at all
Voiture récente et propre, process un peu long pour récupérer la voiture. Ils ont un service de dépôt des clefs en dehors des horaires d ouverture de l agence. Par contre l agence est au milieu d une zone industrielle accessible uniquement en taxi ou Uber.

Aucune vérification de la voiture avant le départ, résultat : on vous charge près de 200 pour une jante soit-disant abîmée par notre faute, ce qui est juste impossible sachant que nous n avons jamais stationné en ville durant notre journée de location. De la pure arnaque, à fuir absolument !!
